Chapter 18: Entry 18: End of Encrypted Messages

Summary:

Entry 18: End of Encrypted Messages

Notes:

This entry was recorded during Chapter 18 of Freefall.

For reference, it occurs after Tim and Dick's conversation in which Dick reveals his plans to escape Gotham.

Chapter Text

Composed by: Superman

Date: October 2, 20XX

Time: 2:14 PM

File format: N/A. Deductions based on video “glitching” of hacked Drake Industries cameras. No other footage available.

Up until this message, the encrypted messages as noted in Entry 16 remained consistent. No further messages appeared after this one was sent.

In the same encrypted Morse Code as Entry 7 , the final glitch reads:

NEVERMIND

The message does not repeat. No further messages appear.

Notes:

  1. We had received very limited coded messages since August 2; however, they were all repeats of the earlier message noted in Entry 16. This makes sense, if the message sender (presumed Robin_03) has returned to the role of Robin (see Entry 17).

Conclusions:

I remain all the more convinced that something has changed in the Batman and Robin situation.

We have already applied multiple times for League access to Gotham and been denied. We need to find a way to enter the city more quickly. We need to locate a metahuman that gives us cause to enter Gotham. I don’t care if that metahuman is Robin or not—once we’re in the city, we have room to work. Highest priority.
