"Is that all I have to sign?" Lena asked as she rubbed her right wrist, an annoyed expression written on her face.
"That's all of it," Alex answered before she gathered the fifty-page packet and slipped it into her folder. "Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to get this done. Appreciate it, Lena."
Lena nodded and plastered what she hoped was a genuine-looking smile on her face. She just hoped that Alex would hurry up and leave so she could return to planning the emotional devastation of Kara Danvers. "You don't have to thank me, Alex. Anything for a friend," Lena replied.
Alex looked at her with an unsure expression before then shrugged and said, "Right. Well, I better jet. I have a date with Kelly tonight. You coming over for Game Night this Friday?"
Lena shook her head.
She had better things to do than be in a room filled with backstabbers for several hours. "Regretfully, I'll have to pass. With everything that happened with Lex, I have a lot of shareholders to placate and part of that is finishing this presentation. I'll be sure to come over on the next one."
"Right," Alex murmured. "Lena, is everything alright?"
"Yes, everything is well. Why do you ask?" Lena asked, her face twisting into an expression of confusion.
"I don't know how to explain it but something feels off with you. Like you hardly really talked while signing everything and it hasn't been like this between us since…well…I lost my memory." Alex answered. "You all good?"
Lena inwardly swore.
Of course, Alex would notice something. The two had gotten closer since she lost and then regained her memory. She had to say something to divert the woman's concerns. Thankfully for Lena, Alex's ringtone came to life.
[I'm just playing games, I know that's plastic love
Dance to the plastic beat, another morning comes.
I'm just playing games, I know that's plastic love.
Dance to the plastic beat, another morning comes]
Lena's already soured mood deepened at Alex's ringtone.
Thankfully, Alex spared her from listening to the taunting song by answering her cell. "Danvers here," Alex greeted. "…I'm sorry, what?! Wait, wait, slow down, Nia. Back it up. What happened to Kara?"
Lena's heartbeat quickened as concern flowed through her veins.
Something happened to Kara?
Lena swiftly smothered the concern she felt for Kara. Why should she care about the woman who lied to her for years and made a fool of her? "Okay…okay…just tell me what to look out for," Alex told Nia as she walked closer to Lena's office door only for Lena to hear a knock on her balcony.
Lena turned her head and jumped when she noticed a five-year-old blonde girl with familiar bright otherworld blue eyes and a small sapphire sundress hovering over the balcony floor. Lena blinked as the little girl gave her a happy wave.
"Hiya Lena!" the girl chirped. "Can I come in? I'm chilly!"

Chapter Text
Lena stared down at the deathly pale Supergirl with a conflicted expression on her face as the latter lay unconscious in the medical bay of the DEO, with Querl Dox observing the unconscious heroine. Ever since Lex stabbed her in the chest with his spiteful reveal of Supergirl's identity, Lena…Lena had wanted to hurt Supergirl. She wanted to violate everything that Supergirl was in return for Supergirl wounding her.
But seeing the usually vibrant woman now rendered in a comatose state looking ever so close to death, Lena quickly realized that this wasn't what she wanted. She wanted Supergirl to feel what she felt, hurt as she hurt, but not struck down by some two-bit villain.
She didn't want her to die for if Supergirl were to die, how could she ever go on?
Lena shook her head.
These….conflicting thoughts could come later. Lena turned to J'onn J'onzz, or Hank Henshaw as many knew him, and saw him holding the small blonde girl that had flown to her office just thirty minutes ago. The minute the girl had appeared, Alex had rushed them all to the DEO and once Lena got her clearance, she was led to Supergirl's body.
"So, this villain hit her with some powerful energy, a multi-colored explosion happened and when the smoke cleared, this was the result?" Lena concluded. "Her body being in such a state and a small child that resembles her?"
J'onn opened his mouth to answer but the small girl dozing in his arms grumbled sleepily and nuzzled her face into his neck, causing Lena to see a deep emotion of fondness to appear. It was almost alarming to her to see a man who often looked stern be rendered so helpless like this.
"Yes, that is exactly what happened, according to Nia," J'onn answered as he rubbed the sleeping girl's back, causing her fuzzing to slowly cease, a satisfied smile on her face. Lena struggled not to find the whole scene adorable.
"Where is Nia now?" Alex asked.
"Nia is at M'gann's bar," Querl answered from behind Lena, prompting Lena and Alex to turn to him. "Apparently, Kara was spotted nearby there."
"Kara? But Kara's right here," Alex said as she motioned to the unconscious heroine.
Querl looked up from Kara's body with a look that Lena read as exasperation. "Yes, and Kara is also in J'onn's arms, Alex. Please keep up with what is happening," Querl told her.
"Okay, how about cut the sass out of your voice, Brainy," Alex warned.
Querl looked apologetic. "Forgive me, Alex, it has been…a stressful time. Having to not only keep Kara alive but also trying to locate how many Karas there are throughout the city is a lot more than my brain can manage at the moment."
"It's overstimulating?" Lena offered.
"Very much so," Querl sighed with a small smile. "The villain Kara fought is called Division, an ancestor to Emoplica, an enemy I've faced in the future. Like his descendant, Division can manifest separate versions of himself and others with each clone embodying a specific emotion. The copy has all of the same powers and abilities as the original. However, where the problem comes in is how it is applied. When Division uses his ability on himself, he can make and recall his copy without any wear and tear to himself. For those who are targeted, either he has to reverse it or someone else has to do it. The longer the Empathic Clones are separated from the original, the more stress the original body goes through until…they die. And it goes without saying that the clones suffer from this as well."
"How long do we have to either find Division or find someone that can put Kara back together again?" Alex asked with dread in her voice.
"It could be weeks but we can't chance wasting a single day," Querl answered.
J'onn hummed in thought and then answered, "I do know of someone who can assist us in such a manner. However, finding her will be quite the challenge as she is off-world."
"How much of a challenge?" Alex asked.
J'onn grimaced. "The person I am looking for left for Tamaran for some sort of ceremony. From here to Tamaran…It could take a month to get there," J'onn answered. "Unless…Argo City could cut down the travel time to two weeks."
"I doubt Kara has two weeks," Querl sighed. "But it's better than nothing."
"Thankfully, we have the portal to get to Argo City," Alex sighed in relief. "Though Alura is going to freak about this." Alex then paused. "Mom is going to freak about this too…"
"I will break the news to Alura as gently as possible," J'onn assured. "For now, our mission is clear. I will get to Tamaran to retrieve the assistance we need. The rest of you? Find the clones of Kara and keep a close eye on them. And try to keep the damage to a minimum."
"What about the Mini-Kara in your arms, J'onn?" Alex asked.
Lena noticed J'onn hesitate for a moment and then answer, "The best course of action is to keep all of Kara's clones together, which means she will have to remain in the care of one of you."
Lena didn't know what possessed her to open her mouth but before she could stop herself or anyone else could volunteer, she declared, "I will look after her."
"Are you sure?" Alex asked. "I'll be more than happy to do it. And I doubt Sam or Kelz would mind it either."
"I am…quite positive," Lena answered. "Besides, with me being here and being privy to all of this information, I take it this is my first official mission for…what did Nia call all of you…The Superfriends?" Lena forced herself to keep the bite out of her voice at the nickname for the group.
Alex and Querl nodded while J'onn stared at her for a moment. "Alex, Querl, do you two mind leaving Lena and me alone for a moment?"
Querl and Alex nodded and the two left the room, leaving Lena alone with J'onn. "Lena," J'onn began. "I'm sure with you and Kara's close friendship, she has mentioned me, right?"
"I know that you're an alien. That's all," Lena said. Lena recalled that after Kara told her the truth, she and Kara had made plans to go over everything that Lena missed but gave some broad strokes. Querl and J'onn were aliens and Nia was a halfa and Winn had gone into the future. But since Lena had been feigning business to formulate a plan, she had been ducking that meeting for about a week.
"Yes, I am. One of my abilities is to read minds," J'onn revealed.
Lena wanted to blanch.
"I see you understand the implications of what I am going to say by that reveal, correct?" J'onn asked.
"Have you been doing this the whole time? Violating my mind?" Lena asked with anger in her voice but J'onn lifted his hand to placate her.
"Be at ease," J'onn told her. "I do not read the minds of my allies. Unfortunately, their thoughts, if particularly loud enough, can blare out at me without my say-so."
Lena frowned.
"The thoughts that you've been blaring out me since the moment you got here are filled with a lot of hurt toward Kara and I can easily understand why," J'onn told her. "However, I can see a lot of conflict in your mind as well. I will permit you to watch the child in my arms."
Lena was surprised.
"Why?" Lena asked. "If you know of my animosity, then why put me in range of someone so intricately tied to the one I hold it for?"
J'onn remained silent for a moment and stared at the ceiling. "Despite all of my time with humanity, I find that humans are still…newborns to the larger galaxy with a very primitive way of communicating. On my planet, we communicated through telepathy. I'm sure you understand where I am coming from."
"Yes, I've gathered the implications of such a communication," Lena answered.
"People are like gems, Miss Luthor," J'onn said to Lena as he adjusted the sleeping blonde five-year-old in his arms. "They have facets to them and some only get exposed to the sunlight. You have only experienced two facets of a very complicated person. I would advise before you do anything untoward, to use this time to truly see every facet of the gem."
"I…" Lena began only to fall silent. She knew what he was doing. He was giving her a chance to not enact revenge and instead find understanding. Did he not understand who she was? Who her family was? Understanding in the throes of madness shouldn't be given to them, and yet, he did…
Never had she been so robbed of emotion before.
Lena didn't know what to make of this.
"I understand…." Lena whispered.
J'onn nodded in approval and held the child out to Lena, who accepted it.
"I am looking past your family line and entrusting you to a child I see as my own daughter," J'onn murmured. "Do not let me come to regret such a decision…"
"I-I won't…" Lena whispered.
And despite her feelings, she truly meant that.
Without warning, Lena's phone chimed. With a little difficulty, she managed to get to her pocket to pull out her phone and then held it against her ear. "Luthor speaking."
"Lena…." Her friend and secretary, Jessica "Jess" Kwan started. "You have Kara Danvers waiting in our lobby."
Lena's eyes widened.

Chapter Text
"I am looking past your family line and entrusting you to a child I see as my own daughter…Do not let me come to regret such a decision…"
From the DEO to L-Corp, Lena couldn't escape the words that J'onn had said to her. It shouldn't have mattered. He was saying those words to make sure she didn't carry out her plan on Supergirl. And yet…And yet his voice sounded so warm and honest, as it always did when they spoke in the past. She didn't understand why, but she could sense that he was being truthful with her when he said he trusted her with his "daughter."
And once again, like a fool, her heart had answered for her, honoring his request. That was all it took, wasn't it? Someone placing their trust in her to make her question everything. 'I can see how J'onn and Supergirl are alike in that regard…' Lena thought to herself before she huffed in annoyance.
She had to push his words out of her mind and focus on the task at hand.
One of the pieces of Supergirl.
"Why the hell would she come here of all places?" Alex groused as she drove. "Like, is the DEO radioactive or something?"
"I have a theory," Lena answered. "Since this is the second piece of her to show up there, perhaps L-Corp is an anchor of some type."
"L-Corp? An anchor to a Super? Imagine telling that to your mother or brother," Alex quipped. "They'd sooner blow the place up before allowing it to be a place of comfort for Kara's kind."
Lena tried to hide her wince but judging by Alex's realization and frown, she wasn't fast enough. Alex slowly pulled over to the side and stopped the car. "Hey, I'm sorry," Alex sincerely apologized. "It wasn't right for me to make a joke like that. Especially considering everything that's happened."
Lena looked at Alex and could see the genuine regret in Alex's eyes and was both surprised and confused. Alex clearly didn't care about hiding Supergirl's identity from her for so long and yet she cares about her stray shot striking her?
Why?
"You don't have to—"
"Lena," Alex softly interjected. "I saw how flinched. It was wrong of me to hurt you like that. I didn't think about how my words could hurt you. My dumbass mouth tends to do that sometimes. I'm sorry and in the future, I promise to never make a joke or any comment about your family in a way that can hurt you."
Lena felt a lump in her throat and the weight of emotions in her chest.
Why?
Why was Alex saying this?
Alex had betrayed her and yet she was caring about her feelings about her mother and brother? Why hurt her in one way but soothe her hurt in another? Was this another trick? Lena could see the naked sincerity in Alex's eyes, so it wasn't a trick.
Then why?
"Okay…" Lena murmured. "Thank you…"
Alex smiled and playfully ruffled Lena's hair, causing the woman to frown, clearly unamused. "I can see L-Corp from here. Let's see what fresh hell we're about to walk into."
Lena nodded and the two made their way to L-Corp in a comfortable silence.
"She's in your office," Jess informed once Lena and Alex stopped at her desk. "I figured you'd want to talk to her in private instead of meeting out here."
"Once again, you are a lifesaver, Jess," Lena thanked with a small smile. From the moment Lena hired her, Jess had become more than a secretary to her, but a companion and secret keeper. But sometimes, it was hard to keep things from her because the second Alex looked away, Jess shot her a concerned expression.
Lena offered a half-smile and Jess subtly nodded her head before Alex looked back at her, causing the woman to school her features. "Well, I shouldn't keep you both," Jess said with a smile. "Ms. Luthor, I also canceled your meetings for the next couple of weeks, as instructed. Ms. Arias will take over in your stead until you return in two days."
"Sam? S-She's back?" Alex asked with an excited smile, only to smother that excitement.
"Yes, she decided to return to National City only two days ago," Lena answered, curious to Alex's reaction. The woman was normally unflappable outside of her sister, so to see her visibly flustered was surprising. "She is still getting herself and Ruby settled in."
"Oh, cool. Cool, cool, cool," Alex said as she stuck her hands into her pockets. "Cool…"
"Is it?" Lena mirthfully asked.
There were a lot of ways that Supergirl and Alex differed, but it was times like these where she could see the familial connection between them. "Yeah, totally," Alex hastily answered. "Let's go see our guest." Alex quickly stormed off, leaving Lena behind with Jess.
"Lena, a bit of warning before you go to your office," Jess whispered. "Kara…She looks very different."
"Different how?" Lena questioned.
"Oh, you'll see. Just…keep a straight face," Jess responded.
Lena nodded and proceeded to walk into the elevator where Alex waited for her. After a short ride in the elevator, the two walked down the hall that led to Lena's office and when Lena opened the door, her heart jumped up her throat.
Turning around from the balcony was an androgynous woman with short blonde hair that barely reached the ends of her pierced earlobes who wore a familiar dark purple three-piece suit, a black button-down shirt with no tie, and black dress shoes. The woman had otherworldly violet eyes that were visible behind the lens of her glasses.
Lena was not expecting such an attractive sight.
"Ah, Lena Luthor, as I live and breathe," the woman greeted with a small yet confident smile. The woman moved from behind Lena's desk and approached the woman as she said, "I've always enjoyed the sight of National City from your office. Makes me wonder if I would have had such a sight had I gone down the route I would have gone down on Krypton."
"Kara? Is that you?" Alex breathed, asking the question Lena was too stunned to ask.
"Am I Kara Danvers or Kara Zor-El?" the woman questioned. "Yes and no. I'm merely a piece of her shattered soul. You can call me Raozh, Which equates to "knowledge," "fact," or "information" in English."
"Raozh," Lena repeated. "That word…is it—"
"Kryptonian? Yes, it is," Raozh answered, pleased. "It's been so long since I spoke a word of my father's tongue…It tastes…strange…" Raozh's eyes softened for a moment. "I am a little rusty at it, naturally, but all the same, It's such a relief to finally be able to speak it without fear."
Lena bit her tongue before she could blurt out anything too harsh. Instead, she swallowed her words and reached out to tug on Raozh's suit jacket. "This suit…I recognize it."
"As you should. This suit is Kara Zor-El's favorite of your many stylish attires," Raozh casually revealed. "When Kara Zor-El was splintered and I came to life, I found myself wearing this. It makes sense that I am wearing an outfit of yours that Kara Zor-El adores, considering the high status you have with Zhor." Raozh clapped her hands. "However, that's a discussion for later. For now, we should locate my sisters before they get into any more trouble."
"Anymore? What do you mean 'Anymore?'" Alex asked.
Dreamer stared at the figure sitting on top of a large alien with a look of amazement on her face.
During Nia's chase of the woman who looked like Kara, a really large blue alien decided that now was the time to strike. Dreamer did her best to fight it, but just as she was about to lose it all, the woman she was chasing appeared and clobbered it, confirming to Dreamer that the woman was Kara…And yet, she wasn't.
The woman had medium-length black hair which was gelled back with a few strands hanging down her forehead, otherworldly forest-green eyes, smokey black eye makeup, a pair of black cross earrings in each ear, and black-colored lipstick. She wore a black tank top, black jeans with tears on her upper right thigh and left knee, and black sneakers.
She was not the pastel and sweater-wearing Kara that she knew. This woman was like a goth goddess.
The woman stood on top of the alien's big stomach and then hopped down to the ground, where she picked her discarded leather jacket off the ground and slipped it on. "Now that that's done. I'm finally going for a beer. Wanna come with, Little Dream?" the woman asked, the sunlight causing the woman's tongue ring to briefly glint as she spoke.
Without waiting for an answer, the woman walked past Nia, who slowly turned around and watched her retreat. "I was not ready for today," Dreamer muttered before she shouted, "Kara! Wait up!"
"Kara?" the woman repeated as she looked back at Dreamer once she caught up. "I never liked that name. Too weak. You can call me…Shahrrehth (confidence)."
"Shah-wha?" Dreamer attempted to repeat.
The woman laughed and said, "Or, just call me Rehth."

"You're staring."
Lena blinked and looked away from the review mirror and stared at the outside world through the windshield as Alex drove. Sitting behind them was Raozh, who sat with one leg crossed over the other with a book in her hand.
"Forgive my staring. I'm just not used to…being in such a situation," Lena apologized.
Raozh hummed in response and closed the book with a snap. "There is no need to apologize to me, Lena. I understand the situation you face."
"How come Lena gets an apology and not your dear sister?" Alex asked with mock offense.
Raozh snorted and said, "Because we both know you live for the thrill of chaos, Alex."
"Eh, good point," Alex admitted with a shrug. "But Lena isn't a slouch in chaotic situations either. Don't have to treat her with baby gloves."
"That much is true," Raozh said. "But Lena is different."
"How am I different?" Lena found herself asking.
"I'm sorry?" Raozh questioned.
Lena inwardly swore.
She didn't mean to just blurt that question out like a Neanderthal. She was supposed to be smarter than more, more…subtle than that. And yet, her heart decided that subtly was for the weak and just took over.
How irksome.
'Well…in for a penny, I suppose…' Lena thought.
"How exactly am I different?" Lena repeated. "You….Well, the entirety of you, know about my life and the risk I face every day by being the last Luthor standing. Why am I different?"
Raozh reached up to adjust her glasses and as Lena glanced at the woman using the review mirror, she could have sworn that the woman's cheeks were red. "Because you are much closer to our heart than you think you are," Raozh answered. "Why would we endanger you by putting you in our troubles?"
Lena wanted to tell Raozh that she had been in her troubles several times already in ways that Supergirl didn't even know. Why should it matter now? But Lena remained silent and absorbed her words for a moment.
'I am much closer to Supergirl's heart than I know…' Lena repeated in her mind. 'What do you mean by that?'
"So, how many others of you are in National City?" Alex asked.
"Hm…Well, when it comes to our situation, only the strongest emotions are splintered from Kara Zor-El's soul. By my count, there should be eight of us."
"Eight?" Lena and Alex simultaneously repeated.
"Yes. Eight," Raozh repeated. "And a lot of them aren't exactly thrilled with returning to Kara Zor-El, so do not think this will be an easy mission."
"That is strange…I would have thought all of you would be racing back to becoming one," Lena said.
Raozh adjusted her glasses. "Let's just say that some of us are more used than others and that tends to cause quite an imbalance…"
Lena opened her mouth to respond to Raozh's words however, Alex's ringtone suddenly chimed, stopping her from investigating further. She watched as Alex reached down into her jacket pocket, pulled out her cell phone, and handed it to Lena. "Answer for me?" Alex asked.
Lena was momentarily surprised that Alex trusted her with her phone of all things. Lena nodded, answered the phone, and greeted, "Alex's phone, Lena speaking."
"Oh! Hi, Lena," Kelly Olsen's voice greeted with surprise. "Sorry. Wasn't expecting you."
"This is a surprise to me too," Lena said with a slight chuckle.
"I'll make this quick. I was at the mall getting lunch when I saw Kara performing for a large group of people," Kelly explained.
Lena blinked.
"What?"
"Yeah. She's performing in the mall. She's gathered quite the crowd, too," Kelly explained as she hoisted herself on top of a table to overlook the massive crowd of civilians cheering and yelling as a short, blonde hair with a pink strip Kara Danvers performed in the distance.
From what Kelly could see, Kara wore a white sleeveless dress with a pink ruffled underskirt, black shorts, and a pink leather jacket. She also wore thigh-high boots, a pink spiked collar, black biker gloves, and a House of El zipper pull on her jacket.
"How large is the crowd?" Alex's voice asked.
"Well…You know where the food court is?" Kelly inquired. "Well from the food court to the karaoke shop."
"What?! That's like halfway through the mall!" Alex exclaimed.
"A massive crowd. And she's singing?" she heard Lena calmly question. Kelly realized that Lena must have put her on speaker.
"Yes. She just got through singing Dancing with Myself…" Kelly explained.
"By Billy Idol?" Lena questioned. "Hm…Good choice. One of my favorites, actually. But that is beside the point. Why would she be singing of all things? I thought she was reluctant to sing in front of large crowds. "
Kelly opened her mouth to respond only for Kara's voice to reply, "Hm, that is more of her weakness than ours. A weakness that Sister Jevia doesn't share."
Kelly blinked. "Uh…Is my ears fooling me or is Kara in the car with you two?" Kelly asked.
"It's a long story, Kels," Alex sighed. "But whatever you do, don't let the Kara you see out of your sight. We'll be there soon."
Kelly nodded, only to remember that she was on the phone, and replied, "Alright. Get here so—"
"Hello, National City Mall! You guys having fun so far?!" the pastel pink-wearing Kara bellowed out to the crowd, unknowingly interrupting Kelly.
The crowd of people cheered in response.
"Then let's keep this party going!" Kara shouted as a new song began.
"Wait…I know those violins…Don't tell me," Lena said. "Is that—"
"I go, "Ooh-ooh", you go, "Ah, ah"
La-la-la-la, a-la-la-la
I can't lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie
I wanna, wanna, wanna get, get, get what I want."
"Oh my God, it is," Lena said in Kelly's ear. "I wasn't even aware she was a fan."
"Don't stop
Gimme, gimme, gimme what you got, got
'Cause I can't wait, wait, wait anymore, more, more, more.
Don't even talk about the consequence
'Cause right now, you're the only thing that's making any sense to me."
The other Kara's voice hummed in response. "She wasn't…at least until she overheard you humming it a few weeks ago."
"And I don't give a damn what they say, what they think, think
'Cause you're the only one who's on my mind
I'll never ever let you leave me
I'll try to stop time forever, never wanna hear you say goodbye."
"We're almost there an—shit!" Alex screamed.
Lena didn't know what happened.
One moment, she heard Supergirl singing (very well she might add), and the next, their car went flying into the air by an explosion of blue lightning that slammed beside the moving car.
(I feel so untouched
And I want you so much
That I just can't resist you
It's not enough to say that I miss you.)
"Raozh! A little help!" Alex shouted.
"I can't!" Raozh shouted in response. "I don't have my powers!"
"What!?" Alex screamed.
Lena didn't know how to feel about such a reveal.
Supergirl's clones did not have their powers?
(I feel so untouched right now
Need you so much
Somehow I can't forget you
Been going crazy from the moment I met you!)
Lena watched as their car careened in the direction of a moving bus and braced herself for impact. 'Am I really going to perish hearing her sing my favorite song on speaker?' Lena thought to herself.
What the hell was her life?
(I feel so untouched
And I want you so much
That I just can't resist you
It's not enough to say that I miss you)
But in a sudden jerk, the car ceased its needless flight.
(I feel so untouched right now
Need you so much
Somehow, I can't forget you
Been going crazy from the moment I met you)
Lena slowly opened her eyes and found herself upside down but instead of being in a destroyed vehicle, she found herself staring into the familiar otherworldly blue eyes of Supergirl, in all of her glory.
"Well…Only three of us have our powers…This is one of them…." Raohzh sheepishly informed. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the Raozh lift her hand and wave. "Hello, Sister Zygai."
"Well…what a save, huh?" Alex asked with relief.
Supergirl offered no greetings to any of them. Instead, she kept her eyes locked on Lena.
And for a moment, Lena felt the anger she felt dissipate as the familiar sense of safety filled her head.

"Lena!"
Lena was swept up in the arms of the pink-wearing Supergirl, who proceeded to spin her around with an excited laugh. Lena hated how her cheeks burned at their closeness. She shouldn't be affected by the woman who betrayed her trust, and yet, her body felt different. "It is good to see you too…um…" Lena drifted off.
"Sister Jevia," Raozh filled in.
"…Jevia," Lena added. Jevia beamed and sat Lena down, who immediately straightened out her outfit and added, "What were you doing at the mall?"
"I wanted to get an outfit," Jevia answered as if it were obvious. "I don't often get new clothes for myself, especially cool clothes like these, so I wanted to live a little!"
"Did you purchase those clothes?" Zygai, the Kara that was dressed as Supergirl, questioned.
Lena watched as a sheepish expression appeared on Jevia's face. "No…" Jevia answered. "But I—"
"But nothing, Sister Jevia," Zygai firmly admonished. "We do not steal, under any circumstances. I will escort you back to the mall so you can either return the outfit or pay for it."
"This has been the weirdest day," Kelly said as she and Alex walked to her side. Out of the corner of her eye, Lena noticed that Kelly was holding the sleeping little Kara in her arms. "But I gotta say, Kid Kara is super adorable."
"Boooo," Alex dryly said, but Lena could see Alex smothering the smile that wanted to show.
"Oh, hush," Kelly chuckled.
"Sister Zygai, you are being rather harsh," Raozh informed with a look toward the serious clone. "We all appeared naked, yes? Would you rather we walk around with no clothing?"
"Wait, I thought you all appeared with clothes on," Alex cut in.
"We don't," Jevia revealed. "We are born as Rao intended. With our bare skin caressed by the sun's soft light."
Lena stared at Jevia and, despite trying to force the forbidden thought deep in the depths of her mind, the image of Supergirl's naked form appeared in her mind, and it was… enticing. Lena shook her mind clear of the image, turned to Raozh, and asked, "Where did you get your clothes?"
"Hm?" Raozh hummed. "We always keep spare clothes around the city. A tip that Wonder Woman taught me during my time in Gateway City."
Lena was caught off guard. Supergirl had been to Gateway City? She knew Wonder Woman? Just another thing hidden from her. "Ah," Lena breathed. "But your suit. Kara doesn't typically wear a suit."
"We were gifted a suit by Wonder Woman," Raozh explained. "It was during the mission we went on. I…" Raozh suddenly became bashful. "We were planning on showing you the suit when we were supposed to go to dinner a few weeks ago, but…plans changed…"
Lena stared at Raozh.
A few weeks ago would have been right after Lex revealed Supergirl's identity to her. Of course, she didn't show up to their planned dinner date. She didn't even talk to Supergirl until her first plan to out her came to fruition. But still, knowing that Supergirl was gifted a suit from the famed Wonder Woman caused that poisonous emotion known as jealousy to bubble into her heart.
"I understand," Lena said.
"Well, all this sad talk is so boring!" Jevia whined. "Let's go out and get some food! I'm famished from all the singing I had to do! Oh! Sister Zygai, would you like to join us?"
Zygai shook her head. "No, I've already wasted enough time here. I will excuse your thieving this time, Sister Jevia, but if it happens again, I will jail you. Got it?"
Jevia smiled in response.
"Uh, Zygai," Alex started, prompting the firm Kryptonian to turn to her. "Maybe it would be best for you to remain here."
"No," Zygai refused. "When I took on the helm of Supergirl, I swore that National City and all she shelters would be under my protection. I will not allow everyone to be in danger because that pathetic shell on that bed failed in her duty."
Lena bit back a wince at the harshness in Zygai's voice, but to her surprise, both Jevia and Raozh were nodding in agreement.
Did they truly hate Supergirl that much, and if so, what did that mean?
"Do not try to stop me, Alexandria," Zygai warned as she strolled past the group and toward the exit of the DEO. "Because you won't be able to."
"I hate when she gets like that," Alex sighed as Zygai flew out of the exit in the ceiling, off to continue her duty to protect the city.
"Like what?" Lena asked.
"When she…forgets that she's Kara," Alex explained. "Which, I guess technically, she isn't Kara…"
The doors to the DEO command center opened, and Lena watched as Nia, with another Supergirl, entered the room. Lena bit back a sigh at the side of the new piece of her former best friend. Just like the others, she was attractive, and she absolutely hated it. "Hey gang!" Nia slurred with a goofy smile. "I'm back and I brought Sha….Shahrara….erm…"
The new Supergirl laughed and ruffled Nia's hair. "Come on, Little Dream. I told you to call me Rehth," Rehth told her before she turned her gaze to the rest of them. "Ain't she adorable? I love this girl." Rehth's grin grew. "Ah, Sisters. I was wondering when I would bump into you guys."
"Sister Shahrrehth!" Jevia excitedly shouted as she raced to the woman and embraced her. "I can't believe you're out here with us! I would have thought you and Sister Zygai would be one."
"I thought that too," Rehth admitted. "But I guess there were enough differences? Rao if I know." Rehth shrugged before she finally turned to Lena. Without warning, Lena found herself in Rehth's muscular arms.
"Oh!" Lena breathlessly exclaimed.
"Hey, Babe, no time, no call," Rehth greeted. "Why have you been ducking me?"
Lena balked.
Babe?
"Do I look like a baby pig?" Lena questioned.
Rehth snorted and replied, "Aw, don't be like that, Lee. And you're avoiding the question. Why have you been ducking me? Did I do something wrong?"
Lena wanted to say that yes, she had done something wrong. Something unforgivable. However, staring at the taller woman's eyes was taking the fight out of her. Thankfully, Raozh gently pried Rehth's arms from around her. "You should see to Nia," Raozh offered. "She's barely standing."
Rehth frowned, shrugged, and moved back to Nia, who was now being expected by both Jevia and Alex. "Thank you," Lena murmured to Raozh.
"You don't have to thank me. Sister Shahrrehth can be overwhelmingly bold sometimes," Raozh explained. "Even I can be fed up with her."
"You call each other sisters," Kelly pointed out. "Why?"
"Because that is what we are," Raozh answered. "Sisters, bonded by our dislike of the Allmother we come from."
"Allmother…Do you mean Kara?" Lena asked.
Raozh nodded. "We were born from her, we share her likeness and blood. Therefore, yes, we do mean her," Raozh answered.
"But it seems you all hate her," Lena pointed out, taking note of Kelly's surprised expression. "Why give her such a title if you all dislike her?"
"Our dislike and disappointment with her does not mean her contribution to our lives should be ignored," Raozh explained.
"I see…" Lena murmured as she and Kelly exchanged a look.
"But I am vexed that Zygai left so soon," Raozh admitted. "We should have come up with a plan to locate our three remaining sisters."
"There are three more of you guys?" Kelly asked.
Raozh nodded.
"I just hope that wherever they are, we can find them soon before something dreadful happens to them," Raozh murmured.
As the sun began to set, Zygai floated above the city she swore to protect with narrowed eyes. Things were far too quiet. And when things got quiet like this, something terrible was bound to happen.
"Nothing," Zygai muttered in annoyance as her vision pulled away from the streets of National City and back to their normal distance of sight. "I don't like this…"
"You shouldn't, sister," a cold and manevolent voice taunted. Zygai turned around only to gasp as she felt a sword laced with kryptonite pierce her stomach. She looked into the eyes of her attacker and paled at the crimson irises.
"I-Iahron (Rage)? Y-You shouldn't have any power," Zygai stammered as green veins pulsated in her face.
"There are a lot of things I shouldn't have," Iahron whispered. "You're coming with me, Sister…" A crimson portal appeared behind Iahron, and without any fanfare, Zygai was pulled into it.

Chapter Text
Hello everyone.
Something like this isn't easy to write but I felt that it was something people needed to know. TheViandVelGullwings or as you all knew her ViolettheCutieGrimReaper, author of Tonight (I'll be Crooked), Of Green, Blue and Gold, Only I Can Mark you and so many other fics, was my twin sister, Elika. I got her into the Supergirl Fandom and even until she was threatened with a dox, that forced her to stop writing. Her girlfriend attempted to take her place but in Novemeber of last year, they made an attempt. Her girlfriend succeeded but Elika endured until this past sunday.
She passed away this past sunday and I've been trying really hard to do anything...I won't be writing for this fandom for a very long time but I wanted to inform everyone that read her fics that she truly adored all of you for taking the time to enjoy them and she really loved seeing everyone's replies. This fandom really brightened her days during the time she could love writing.
So, that's it.
As for me, I'll one day continue this fic but it won't be for a very long time.
So take care.
