Chapter Text
When i left Crux after my parents failed to set me up for marriage, i dedicated my life to treating people all across the known world and helping them in fight. But one day, after the revolution finally ended on the planet where i currently resided, the reigning Commissar send me a message with an ultimatum; either i travel with them back to Terra to enter the Consort Circle or they’ll shoot me right there.
I told them to fire at will, as if i get closed there my life just as meaningless as dead. The Commissar ordered to shoot, but instead of bullets, they hit me with many tranquilizers. Before i lost my consciousness, i heard the soldiers mumbles about how they’ll miss me, but the Emperor’s order are unquestionable.
Chapter 2: Arrival
Chapter Text
The Primarchs are all gathered at a roundtable, Lord Malcador stand on a podium nearby and ready to punish any misbehaving one. As the pictures and data about the possible candidates flashed before them, their reaction was also carefully checked by him.
- Candidate #35. Miliana.-said by a robotic voice - A Sanctioned psyker from Agripinaa. Just as kind and compassionate as strong.- A strong gruff voice heard from both Leman Russ and Mortarion, whose well-know for their personal hatred for psykers.
- Candidate #72 Tory Bachion, also know as Tory of Fedrid. A famed hunter originally from Scintilla. Never back from a fight or a good challenge.
- So many hunters and mercenaries on the list - Lorgar chimed in - but, people have different tastes.
- Candidate #107 Kadisa Nethian. An accomplished doctor from planet Crux. Basically a walking hospital, always in a fight against death.
- Didn't she also called “mad doctor” for experimenting on various test subjects? -Dorn look at the picture of the young woman. Horus who sit next to him, just smirked.
- Not everyone needs to be boring, brother.
- All of you, stay silent. - Malcador grumbled. The candidate listing finished with the 250th woman. The old sage start to walk toward the table.
- All of these consort-apparents will be transported to Terra for a designed a palace just for them.
- But- Dorn interrupted Malcador - i know which palace you talking, but its only for 100 at best.
- Exactly.- the old man replied. Guilliman crossed his arm in front of him.
- There will be pre-eliminations of course. After all of them arrive and additional check-ups are finished, a banquet will be help where all you also be in present. Please show your best form for the ladies. You can also bring one of your man as a consultant you find it necessary.
- So much hassle.- Ferrus frowned.
- Some of them look promising - Fulgrim waved toward him - at least give it a try.
- When the banquet will be held? - Jaghatai finally stood up, Malcador start to calculate.
- 5 terran days from today…
At the same time, at the palace
When Kadisa finally wake up, she found herself in an unfamiliar place. A moderately big room filled with books and medical supplies. Two serf was at the door, and bowed deeply before her.
- Lady Nethian, its an honor to meeting you.- the seemingly older serf greeted her first. Kadisa just nodded and jumped our from the bed.
- What your name?
- My name is Abo and this is Sibra.- the other bowed even more deeper than the other.
- Greetings.
- How long i was unconscious?
- Approximately 2 days. You arrived to Terra about 3 hour ago.
- So, they hit me with the strongest they got. Nice. I need to do something with the after dizziness. Maybe another formula…- she muttered. When she looked around the room, it was strangely familiar. For at least the furnishing.
- Did you…
- Of course. Every potential consort room is filled with their most precious subjects. We got informed about your medical skills and requested the finest equipment for it.
- Hm, did you not afraid i just off myself with this?- she asked and put some scalpel on the table, but the serfs were totally calm.
- Not at all, your ladyship. Thanks to Lord Malcador and his power, no consort can do self-harm in any way…. before meeting with the primarchs.
- Really?
- I'm also glad to inform you that two people who mentioned as your “close friend” also partake of the competition.- she looked over the beakers, a small smile appeared on her lip.
- Hah, poor girls. But at least we are not alone in this. How many candidates in here?
- 250 participants arrived, but now their number has been reduced to 96.
- Interesting. What happened?
- Many of the felt out either tested positive to different types of diseases - which of not affect our protectors, but their reputation maybe - and some of them showed pretty erratic behavior upon their arrivals thus they’re forcibly removed.
- Surprising that i was not too “erratic” for exclude this.
- Lady Kadisa is one the minor, more reliable cases.- Sibra said - Now, Abo needs to make his report and i was tasked to prepare your dinner, ladyship. What food and drink do you prefer for tonight?
- Hm, probably somewhat energizing. A jug of ploin juice with a roasted grox leg will do it.
- As you wish.- When they both left, Kadisa let out a faint sigh. Tiredness overcomes her again and start to wobble back to the bed. The sense of a high quality fabric beneath her hands made her stomach hurl in distaste.
- I’ll ask them to change this some more…common material. I dont want get used to this again.- She pushed the planket to the bed corner and lay back to more comfortable sheet.
- Just some days. I survived worse…
Chapter 3: Good friends
Chapter Text
The next day was surprisingly normal. All the consort candidates were free to walk around the palace, and almost at the start the power struggle began between them - with more or less success. Some lady of the higher nobility tried to scare away the seemingly “lesser beings”, but of course it did not work the tough, life-hardened ones. Kadisa just looked at with boredom, until one of the soldier-looking women grabbed the other and dislocated her whole right arm with ease. Her groupies yelped as the ringleader felt on her, wriggling with pain. Kadisa doctor instincts kicked in and rushed immediately to the injured. The soldier bared her teeth toward the new person.
-Why are you helping her?!- retorted - she is mocking all of us!
-Because i'm a doctor. - she said calmly and start to move mack the joint, but the injured just shouted and try to dig her nails to Kadisa’s shoulder.
-Don't dare to touch me, you lowlife!- she shouted, Kadisa just looked over at her, and the next moment she stabbed a syringe to her neck, much to everyone’s horror. The woman fainted in an instant, but after some seconds Kadisa put her arm back to its normal place. Then stood up and looked over her groupies.
-She will be unconscious for the next 3 hours at least. I recommend bringing her back to her designated room and calling a “non lesser being” medic for further checkup.
-Who the fuck…- she was not able to finish the sentence as two other figure came into the picture and hugged the doctor.
-Kadisa, it's been a while!- The smaller woman with flowing red hair clung onto her from the front, the other much bigger one just patted her hair.
-Told’ya Mili! We just need to search for the nearest injured or sick person, and she will appear.
-Good to see you too.- Kadisa snorted and put away her now empty syringe. - Lets go for a much less noisy place to talk.
-Hey!- The soldier walked toward them- I ask something, you weirdo…
-Hold your horses bitch! - Tory grabbed her neck - this weirdo is with me! And i'm gleefully tear your arms out from your body. Understand?!- The woman hesitantly backed up and looked at the 3.
-We not finished yet.
-You not, but i am.- Kadisa said nonchalantly and they left. The three friend found a little garden with marble benches and sat down. They talked about hours how they ended up in here and how they plan to leave this whole mess.
-We cannot leave by our own and im certain about if we “fell out” from the circle, our death is imminent.- Miliana mumbled as che concentrated her power for remain calm.
-Logical. But i doubt they will kill us.- Kadisa lit her pipe - more like our relatives will execute us for “tarnishing the family name” or this kind of hypocritical bullshat.
-Jokes on you, you got this easy.- Tory said and chuggled a big glass of drink, possibly mjod - your family, Kadi is nothing but lazy dickheads.
-But they have money, don't forget.- she replied - they could hire mercenaries.
-Fair point, but i guess they’re too miser for it.
-Maybe.
-And Mili’s uncle is also not a big deal. But my 4 brothers…
-Who said we not going to help you, huh?- Miliana chuckled and inhaled some fume from Kadisa’s pipe. - Hm, that new?
-Not really, just mixed the original with a little narcotic. It hit quicker with prolonged effect, without headache. - Her friends looked her with sad face.
-What? Im fine. So far now. We still got 4 day for the banquet. Maybe i can gather some information about this whole ordeal. - Miliana, desperate to cheer her seemly depressed friend, patter her shoulder, strong enough to Kadi almost spit out her pipe (which caused their friend burst into laugh).
-Kadi, think about it like an…experiment!- Tory smile fainted as she heard these words. Of course, it can trigger Kadisa for good, but…
-Experiment? - her ears perked up. - What kind of experiment?
-Think about. A very few scientist and doctors can be this close to a primarch and...
-I guess…this will do…- she muttered as she cracked her finger joints and a scary smile appeared on her face.
-Oh great. Now you riled her up.- Tory smacked Miliana’s back. - Good luck to stop her if she want to dissect someone...
Later, Corvus Corax’s residence
-Report Gherith.
-Yes. There was 5 minor and 2 major fight between the consort apparents; the smaller arguments are handled by the serf and the two major is only have a smaller injury, which a was actually handled by another consort. The woman in question interrupted the argument and healed the injured. When the injured start to berate her, she sedated her immediately.
-Hehe, nice.- Nasturi looked over from the texts she was reading, clearly amused by the story.- And what happened after? - she asked and their primarch nodded for continue.
Shortly after that, the one who started the physical aspect of the fight also tried to pick a fight with the doctor, but two of her acquaintances appeared and escorted her another place.
-You followed them?
-Its my fault my lord, but i did not. Only halfway i got distracted by another scene of small fight and…
-And?
-And the biggest of the three also sensed my presence. She continuously looked where i was.
-…Give me their names. They sounds useful...
Chapter 4: Nightmare
Chapter Text
When Kadisa returned her chamber, her vision started to get blurry, but some strong shake and glass of “heavy water” quickly cleared her mind.
- Maybe a 10% less "calmer" will be enough.- She sat down to her table and start to prepare some medical pills and ointments for the upcoming banquet.
- Im not able to put them in a bag, so…oh, yes this will be good.- She gathered some empty gel pills and injected the various medical products into them. The gels colors were different as their respective purpose required different chemicals and herbs. Around midnight, she finished the gel capsules and put them in various holders.
- This should be enough for a while. - With this, she goes to her well deserved sleep. But the dreams, it didn't felt like there were dreams. As she walked through the ruins of the palace, she heard the cries of peoples all around her. But every time she found a survivor, they just exploded the second she reached for them. Her huffs became more erratic as she desperately ran around, and then.
SLASH!
A cold metal pierced through her chest from the back. She looked down and saw metallic claws and a surprisingly anguished laugh what also sound like a cry was heard.
After darkness engulfed everything around her.
She woke up, sweat dripping from her forehead. She looked over and saw Abo's worried face.
- My Lady, how are you feel? Did something happen?
- Just a nightmare.- Kadisa replied - Happens sometimes.
- I…I see.- Abo cleared his throat - May i ask what do you want for breakfast?
- Omelette will be fine. And a big glass of milk.
- As you wish.- With this he hurried out from the room, Kadisa changed from nightgown to her regular clothes and start to prepare another batch of mix for her pipe.
- So this mix can cause a minor ergot poisoning. Interesting outcome. - She grabbed two light pink capsule and ate them.
- This will help for the milk to neutralise the effect. I think the “nightmare” is also more like a hallucination caused by the poisoning. Yeah- she start to remember the feeling when the blades destroyed her bones and organs. - It was just a hallucination.- When Abo returned with the bountiful plate of food and a big glass of milk, he hurried his mistress to eat it. Kadisa also saw he holding a scripture beneath his armpit.
- Any news?- she asked. The serf quickly opened the papers and start to read.
- Yes. The candidates number dwindled from 96 to 71. Some of them are left willingly, some of them was kicked out. It also seem like miss Tanya Abrasael was banned because she tried to harm you mistress.
- Who?
- The one who also injured lady Ophelia Senerol, whom you also healed.
- Ah, now i know. Its a pity she was kicked out for this. - mumbled between two bites - otherwise her temperament, she seemed promising.
- She is a respected general from Acheron IV.
- Hm. And the other woman was punished somehow?
- You mean Lady Ophelia?
- Yes. She started the whole mess.
- She is banned from leaving her living quarters until the banquet and got a warning - the next time she cause something, she also will be expelled.
- Charming justice.- Kadisa sneered - and where is she from?
- She is a member of Terran nobility.
- Oh, i see. That explain everything. Any other news?
- Yes. At first i was not authorized to inform you about this but…
- ??
- One of the remaining candidates are your younger sister, lady Seriphana.- Kadisa just looked over Abo and raised her shoulders.
- And?
- A-according to the information about your family history and…
- Abo, calm down.- She said and put down the fork - It doesn't bother me the slightest.
- Are you sure my lady?
- 100% sure. Unless she does not try to meddle in my experiment, i did not give a crap about her.
- …Understand.
- Good. Now, please leave me. I need to prepare some medicine for Mili.
- As you wish, mistress. I’ll speak lady Miliana’s servant too if you want.
- i’ll appreciate it. Oh and one more thing Abo.
- Just ask mistress.
- We will get more personal information about the primarchs or just we left clueless about themuntil the banquet?
- According to Lord Malcador planning, you able get some information about 5 primarch of your interest if you request.
- I am.
- May i ask which primarchs are you interested in?
- Yes. The first one is…
Chapter 5: Shock and Awe
Chapter Text
-Interesting choices, my lady. I will ask the Librarium to gave you sufficient information about the Primarchs and their legion.
- Most appreciated Abo. Please get them soon as possible.
- Ah, im not worthy for these kind words! - he bowed deeply. - Anything else i can do for you?
- Yes, please call for Sibra. I need her to bring something to Miliana.
- As you wish.- With this he left and minutes later Sibra rushed into the room.
- You called me, my lady?-
- Yes.- She walked toward the serf and gave her a small package. - Please go to lady Miliana’s room and give her this. But just for her. No one else.
- Understood. - With then she left.
- I hope this will be enough for the next week.- Kadisa thought. She saw her friend's pupils and pale complexion yesterday.
- So, they can't replicate the medication properly, or she cannot administer the normal dosage. But now this will be fixed. Okay then, up to the next one. - For the next nine hours, she made different types of pill, ointments, filled her syringes and coated the scalpels with an unknown substance.
- This will do it.- She smeared the sweat from her forehead. Both Abo and Sibra looked at her awe and a slight panic, especially Abp, who brought back the requested information.
- Mistress Kadisa, these are the documents you asked for.- He put them on the table next to the strangely shining scalpels. She thanked him, and he excuses himself to prepare the dinner. Sibra also reported her successful task to bring the medicine to Miliana.
- She was grateful for it. She privately told me that her previous medicine was depleted two week ago.
- So she held herself two whole week without it? Admirable. Also valuable information. Thank you.- Kadisa saw the young serf nervous and turned toward her.
- Is there any problem?- She just let out a surprised yelp and slightly nodded.
- Can i…
- Just ask Sibra.- She collected the piled papers.
- Why did you request information about the Night Lords? Their primarch is…
- Not really because of the Night Haunter, but I heard many stories about their 1st legion. I'm interested in them.
-I…i see.
- I'm sure its mandatory for him to bring at least one of his elite warriors to keep him in check. And that will be a good opportunity to examine them closer.- The eerie smile appeared on Kadisa’s face, which made Sibra's blood run cold.
- I-if you excuse me…I’ll go to…
- Of course you can. See you later.- the doctor waved at her and she left hurriedly.
-Heh- her smile grew wider as she checked the 5 five primarch and their legion.- Rogal Dorn and the Imperial Fists; Lord Sanguinius and the Blood Angels; Vulkan and the Salamanders; Lord Mortarion with the Death Guards and lastly, Konrad Curze and the Night Lords Legion. By the throne! Different types of mutations, mental disorders and a great variety of available subjects. Haha…- she held her head as she tried to regain her composure.- Oh, i'm going overboard again. Still…commercing the experiment…
At same time, Miliana’s room
- Ah, finally the headaches have now gone for a while. These pills always help. I’ll not let uncle to destroy them again.- She held her hand up and levitated the nearest object - what was a whip - and looked over her own serf, who was now rolled on the floor, held by an unseen force.- So, where we at?- Her smile was even more wider and menacing than her dear friend’s.
- If you tell me who sent you to kill us, I’ll grant you a faster death…
Chapter 6: Banquet or war?
Chapter Text
The remaining days were filled with the last preparations (decorations) and the consort-apparents managed to get their respective dresses for the banquet. Kadisa’s dress was relatively simple; a long dark-green lace dress, with long dirty-white bolero and formal but not high-heeled shoes. Her jewelry was also embedded with the medicine she prepared earlier; the necklace, the earrings and the bracelet too.
- This will do it.
- My lady, you look dashing.- Sibra said with awe as she fixed the last part of the dress - but you think this jewelry is necessary?
- Absolutely. - Kadisa said without hesitation.- Just some coagulant, disinfectant, an anti-wemon mix and some tranquilizing pill just in case.
- Sounds like you are preparing for a war.
- I'm not? - she asked and Sibra stopped mid-checking- this whole mess is nothing but a battle in formal dress with a nice background music.
- B-but the high lords are…
- They interesting thats for sure.- She smirked and she checked the laced scalpels - i want to try some of my medicines on them, but i guess it still too early for it.
- Wh-what?- Sibra almost choked and grabbed Kadisa’s arm, with that she also moved her away from the dangerous equipment.- With all due respect… please don't say that again.
- Why?- she raised her brow and gently removed the serf hands.
- B-because you can't think of them like…
- Like a lab rat? This is you want to say?- Sibra meekly nodded, the doctor just smiled and grabbed her pipe, which she lit from the burner. The slightly purple smoke she inhaled and blow into the girl face. At instant the serf movement became slower and her eyes became dull. - Everything will be alright. I can guarantee.
- Y-yes…- Sibra mumbled and Kadisa made her sit down on a nearby chair.
- Overstressing something like this is not good for your health.- She checked her pulse and her skin condition.
- You need to eat a little bit more meat and I recommend you to not stay awake too long. Maybe your implants also need to be checked.
- Why…are…you…
- Because i'm a doctor. And i always prioritize the sick and injured around me. Besides…
- ??
- I can guess you question my mental health, but I can reassure you that between me and my friends…im almost the sanest person.
- …
Later.
The banquet was held in a big Hall not far from the consort’s palace. Each of them was escorted by a personal guard. The primarchs were already there and waited for the women to be introduced one by one again and after all of them were properly greeted, the music started and the servants started to give drinks and small appetizers for them. Kadisa just sat down at a nearby table and looked over the next good 10 minutes; both lord Fulgrim and Sanguinius were surrounded by more than six participants almost immediately. The one whom she guessed as Horus just laughed at them and started a conversation with two women. She ordered a drink and watched with a small smile as Miliana approached Vulkan and his laugh was able to light up even her mood.
- He is radiant as ever.- a male voice said calmly. Kadisa turned around and a young man standing not far from her. He almost looked like his gene-father with long white hair and fine features.- Oh, where is my manners? My name is Fabius Bile. May i can sit here?- Kadisa nodded, he sat down and also ordered a drink.
- Its a pleasure to meet you in person Lord Bile. I read many of your achievements of the medical field. I'm astonished about your dedication about genetic engineering.
- That's flattering.- he chuckled - I'm also aware of your reputation among the warfare doctors. It was sad to hear that you did not really like the idea of coming here.
- Still not the best, but know…let me say otherwise…i found a more reasonable cause to stay here.
- Oh - his smile grew - and may I ask what it is?
- I think she like to analyse peoples.- Another male voice sounded behind Kadisa’s back and Fabius scowled. A face suddenly showed up next to the woman’s face and a hand slightly tapped on her shoulder. The man's dark eyes checked her reaction.
- Otherwise nobody with a sane mind wants to ask about the Night Lords.
- Jago Sevatarion i assume?- She asked, somewhat unbothered. - Nice to meet you and also…quite bold of you to assume im in the right mind.- She lit her pipe and it let out a small black mist. He let out an amused huff and brought a chair to sit next to her.
- This look interesting.- he said with an amused tone.
Chapter 7: unwelcome guest
Chapter Text
-...Indeed lord Bile, but i was also encountered many worlds, which are still not ready for this kind of sudden technological jump.
- Then the pilgrims need to establish more places to convert the peoples more.- He replied the young doctor's words, while their third conversation partner sipped his drink, silently watching the two.
- This is the reason why you use the treatments of the Old Times?- he asked and Kadisa nodded.
- I practice more advanced types of medicae too, but i prefer to use simpler methods in Feral and Feudal Worlds. Death worlds are also a good place with vast possible resources. For example, 3 standart year ago i found on Fedrid a special type of bio-adhesive which can 100% stop the organ rejection by slowly adapting the foreign organ to the recipient.
- I also heard that type of adhesive came from the saliva of a highly dangerous animal.
- Yes, but they are not a big problem if you have a good hunting partner.
- I assume you talk about your friend, Lady Tory.- The doctor nodded.
- You’re correct. We became friends and business partners when I first joined one of her hunting mission. We saved each other's lives on many occasions - same as with Miliana.- She pointed toward her other friend who now ate 2 pieces of big cake with Vulkan.
- Ah, the psyker.- Fabius glanced over them but quickly turned his head back when Kadisa lit another type of smoke. - is she not too dangerous to be let free here?
- Not more dangerous than anyone else here.- she replied and bit her pipe a little, just for the sound to reach the two gentleman’s ear.- She not just merely my friend, but also my patient. And now I see how Lord Vulkan’s have a positive influence on her. But also…
-Hm?- Jago raised his brow- what?
- I'm a little bit worried. She tends to be a little bit…clingy toward men who shower her with kindness.
- On the other hand, you not seem to be really interested in any of the high lords.- Fabius moved a little bit closer to her, Kadisa just smiled.
- I have a different approach to them. And, unlike the others im not fool to appreciate peoples other than the primarchs.- Jago snorted, clearly amused by her words, but before he had a chance to reply a small woman appeared behind Kadisa. She looked similar to the doctor, but unlike her this woman had platinum locks and deep blue eyes. Eyes, which emitted strange hostility.
- What are you doing here?- the woman asked, Kadisa did not looked up just put down her now empty glass.
- It's been awhile Seri, what do you want?- she asked, clearly annoyed by the unwelcome person. Still, Kadisa did not turn around to look at the woman, which made the other stomp with her heels and walk over the table to face with the doctor.
- Listen, if you want to ruin this banquet for me…
- The only one who can mess this for you - it's you.- Kadisa replied as the waiter filled with her glass. -Interrupted us in the middle of a conversation without any good reason. Oh, sorry i forget. - She smiled - You want make a scene. That a pretty good reason isn't it?- she asked, both man nodded with agreement which made Seri even more angry.
- Don't be like this sister, unless you want the highlords see your true colors. Now, off you go.- Kadisa waved with her hands dismissively, Seriphana just looked around and stormed another table, near to Guilliman.
- Is she…- Jago asked and Kadisa nodded.
- Correct. We’re sisters by blood. Not that really matters to me or her anyway.
- Still, you have the same genetic…
- Sometimes even the same dna cant guarantee similar offspring, if you want to say that lord Bile, but i understand where the idea came from. - She drank the wine before her and start to inhale the smoke again. Now, even Jago start to feel a little bit dizzy from the strange aroma that the pipe emitted.
- And why is she so hostile toward you?
- Who knows?. We never really interacted back at our home and we did not spoke since i left Crux. But she definitely come back for a second round before the banquet end.
- You sure?
- 100%.
Chapter 8: Unlikely Saviour
Chapter Text
And Kadisa was right. As Seriphana had an unsuccessful conversation with Lord Guilliman, she stormed back to her elder sister’s table, only to be stopped by a fork which threw to the ground with such force that it cracked the perfect marble. As she stepped back saw where the frok came from; Tory looked at her with a big smile, her inhumanly sharp teeth shined with menacing glint.
- Dont even think about it, you hussy.- she said with a low growling voice, Seriphana moved closer to a chair nearby and nervously sat down. Tory nodded slowly, her smile was filled with bloodlust, but when Ferrus touched her shoulder, she returned her gaze toward her conversation partner. the young woman felt that her legs are basically given up; anger, frustration and fear already took a toll on her.
- I cant give up here…- she muttered - i sacrificed too much for this chance…- her anger start to rise as she heard Kadisa’s laughter. She looked over her and saw her sister chatter with famed and feared Jago Sevatarion. They’re seem sit a little bit closer to each other then before, and lord Bile who sat across them just ordered another round of wine for the table.
- Why…?!- Seriphana clenched her fist, her shaking legs now recovered with the reignited anger. She strolled next to them and grabbed the wine bottle from the waiter, and started the chuggle the drink down. Both Jago and Fabius looked at her with disdain, Kadisa just put her pipe down.
- Be careful with it. You always have weak head for alcohol.
- You cant order me around.- she said as she finished half of the bottle - You know that father crossed out your name in the family register when you left? You’re just a lowlife nobody now.
- Really? - She finally looked at her. Seriphana smiled triumphant.
- Yes.
- Oh, praise the Emperor. I thought he would never do that. - the doctor let out a calm sigh. - Much less paperwork for me.- Both Jago and Fabius start to laugh, and Kadisa lit her pipe with a different fragnance.
Seriphana just looked at her sister, her hands were shaking, nails digging into her palm, and let the bottle fell to the floor.. It has always been like this since their childhood. Even though she was loved by their father more and spent a tremendous amount of time and money on her, it was like…Kadisa never even cared about it. Now matter how much she wanted to rub her happiness under older sister's nose. She just…these things never mattered her.
- You just act highly and mighty, feeling you are worth more than me…
- To correct you, Seri - she chugged on the drink, but barely had any effect- I precisely know I'm worth more than you. - She stood up and stepped in front of her younger sister, who now backed up and almost fell. Kadisa rarely shows this side of her, but she needs to remind her sister about her place.
- Aside from looking innocent and being expert about polishing a man's dick, what else can you do, honestly? Sure, it's enough for some people, but…don't you ever dare to compare my work with your spoiled life.
- B-but…
- It's so sad. After many years, you still have not realised I don't have a slightest interest in your sorry existence. Go back to Crux or stay here, whatever. But don't ever dare to bother my experiments.- She blows some purple mist to her face from her pipe.
- Why…?- she coughed from the smoke, but she wanted to reach after Kadisa, a firm grip from her left side stopped her. She became pale when looked up and dark orbs looked back at her.
- I think you heard loud and clear. Leave her alone, scamp. - Jago said and his grip became even more stronger. Seriphana yelped and tried try pry her and out,
- Dont broke her hand or else i need to heal her.- Kadisa looked back to them and some second later, he let the young woman hands, but not before it left a nasty bruise on it.
- …Why?- she sniffed and stumbled back, clearly starting to get intoxicated. Before she fell down a pair of strong hands catch her. When she looked up, a par of purple eye looked at her back and a light silver hair caressed her face.
- Oh my~- He man said.- Fabius, didnt i taught you how to handle a gentle ladies like her?- Fabius just looked at his Lord and shrugged.
- She started the ruckus, so im not obligated to help her.
- What a barbarian's way of thinking.- Fulgrim gasped and get Seriphana in a bridal carry.- Come darling, i know what will make you better.
- Oh, lord Fulgrim.- With this, they left in the main door. Some other woman start to wept as they talked with the Primarch of the Emperor Children and they cannot comprehend why he left them for that girl. Fabius just smiled and ordered another bottle.
- Is she going to die?- Kadisa asked, while she checked Jago knuckles for scratch marks. Fabius nodded.
- Most likely. My father is…kinda like rough.
- Good.
