Summary
Hound and Scotch have very different and yet very similar ideas about marriage. Hound had always had some loose plan to get out, get married, and start a family. For him, marrying for love was the only way to do it. Scotch had grown up having it drilled into him to marry well. How you felt about the woman didn't matter as much as what her family was worth. Either way, the vague plans they had about their futures had one thing in common—the person across from them would be a woman.
However, when a mission comes from the desk of a UDAAC councilman or councilwoman, you don't refuse. Contractually, you can't refuse. So when they're assigned to surveil an ex-arms trafficker under the guise of being married to each other, what can they do but prepare for a year of suburban hell?
