Just another Day at work. Ranpo was snacking chips (crisps my british fellas) and getting the annoying chip-powder all over his fingers. But he didnt want to lick it off, because gross. So he sighed, standing up from his table, where he was conviniently hidden behind stacks of paper before, and walked towards the bathroom. But just before he could reach it, the door to the presidents office opened. Ranpo could see just from his look that this meant work. As he tried to sneak inside the bathroom to lock the door and pretend to have stomach problems, Fukuzawa called out to him. "Ranpo, I have an important mission for you. There is no avoiding this. I can and will cancel our father-son cooking class if you refuse". Wanting to learn how to make macaroni with cheese (and to spend time with his basically-dad-at-this-point) Ranpo had no choice.
So thats what led up to him standing at a murder scene once again. The victim was found in an unlocked room, but corridor that led outside had cameras on all the time. All of this was in an old castle, renovated so that guests could stay. In this room tho, even the wallpaper was still the same. The victim was a rather young billionair, who founded a company all about saving historical buildings with his brother, who he soon after the company gained more money by renting castles out gave a little money and asked to leave. He was last seen on camera entering the room alone, and later found by cleaning service stabbed in the back, laying face down in a corner.

Ranpo put on his glasses, not without making a show about how amazing his ability is about it. So much about important case, anyone could have solved that, Ranpo thought to himself. Just to give the policemen one more hint he knocked on the wall next to the corpse. He soon lost his patience, and layed it all out infront of the officers. "The man was stabbed by someone entering trough a servants entry. Old castles often have servant passageways, and it should have been easy to stay hidden within them, because that is what they were made for. Why did they do it? And who was it? Easy. It was the brother, whose passion was the company. He would know about the passageways, wouldnt he? But his brother drove him out for monetary gain, which is why he started to resent him. If he died he could have inherited the company back. He saw it as his only option. Too bad for him, now he wont get anything. Anyway bye". And with that he left.
After trying to navigate the train back to the agency, and failing, he had Fukuzawa pick him up. They were just on time for their cooking course.
