The Mare in the Moon, myth from olden pony times. A powerful pony who wanted to rule Equestria, defeated by the Elements of Harmony and imprisoned in the moon. Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about nighttime eternal. This story was formed ages ago when Princess Celestia exiled Princess Luna to the moon. One thing is for certain, this prophecy will come true, but how? This isn’t the story of the returning princess. Nor is this the story of her exile. This is the story of the star that would aid her escape.
On Equis, there is a tale about the stars. It is said that every star is a wish, a wish that a creature believes in so strongly, that the very universe writes it into place as another star in the solar system. On the day that Princess Luna was exiled, a new star had appeared in the sky in a flash of light. This star was dubbed, Shadehaven. Called this for the fact that even being a star, it remained dark throughout the entirety of it’s existence. Notice the word “Entirety”, we’ll come back to that later. On this star, a creature was born. It’s form only comparable to that of an Alicorn. Body Black as night, Glowing bright purple eyes. A long, dark mane with purple tips. And a power to rival the Elements of Harmony.
