___________________________

It was currently raining outside the mansion window as I sat on my windowsill, tucked under my duvet. My eyes lazily watched the rain drops trail down the glass. A yawn slips through my mouth and I wipe my eyes.

The rain was always so peaceful for me. As an Elliot our family was born rich and had a luscious mansion to live in. But for me, I loved the simple life and dreamed to live like any normal girl would.

As the youngest, I had my parents' attention the most. My older sister Tessa was the one that disappointed our parents by befriending robots which I found very cute. I was already so fond of N between them.

If anything, sci-fi stuff like that always amazed me. But of course my parents wouldn't approve of it, so I stayed to my books and quietness of being in solitude. Tessa was the one that loved her robots. I'm the girl with her books.

I stretch and sleepily tred to my large bed. I lay and found myself falling asleep fast...

___________________________

The morning came as soon as the night had passed.

Sitting up in my bed, I fixed my brown hair into a messy bun. I looked through my wardrobe for something to wear. Settling on what to wear, I fixed a bow as well on my head as a headband.

I walked through the mansion, spotting N sitting by the bookshelves reading another book. I smiled as I passed him. "Hey N. Whatcha reading?" I asked the drone.

"Oh hey Callie! I'm reading one about dog breeds. It's probably my favorite right now!" He giggles and I giggle some. "That's neat. See you later!" I walked off and find my parents already at breakfast.

Feeling courteous, I bow some in greeting. "Morning mother and father." Using my mother's manners. They nod their heads in return.

I sit by them for breakfast. Tessa joins us shortly after. "Mother. Father. Callie." She greets us in her accent. She had gotten our father's accent while I my mothers hair. We eat breakfast, toast and fruit.

I stick my pinkie out as I ate (force of habit) and mother nods approvingly of my use of manners.

Tessa and I make jokes while our parents talked to each other.

Occasionally we'd get glares at our "disrespectful manners" but I didn't care. Rules were boring anyways and I loved breaking them occasionally.

I then speak up. "May I be excused?" Our parents look at each other and nod. "You may."

I stand up after bowing respectively and walking out.

"Hey Cal!" V yells in greeting while J stands by her. I run over.

"Hey girls. Whatcha doing?"

J scoffs, a playful smile on her face. I grin. I knew even J was happy I was around.

"Talking. Want to join us?" I nod. "Of course."

I sit by them as they gossip about an upcoming gala being held here in the mansion. I smiled as I talked, happy to have good friends in this place.

Hope you enjoyed it! ^^

___________________________

Yellow eyes open and she blinks. Where was she? She didn't feel like herself. Like something else was possessing her body. The Solver's symbol was in her eye.

Cyn. That was her name.

The sweetest human girl that goes by Tessa has found her on her own. Feeling pity for the small bot. Not knowing what she'd be bringing home with her.

And as for Cyn, it meant getting her plans for the Earth under way. Humanity has no idea what it was dealing with.

That she was anything but innocent.

...

I was currently reading a book in the library as the drones were doing whatever they were doing right now. I smile to myself, knowing that N was probably reading his book again. J was most likely somewhere else. And V was probably busy dusting something.

I hear my older sister return and tuck my bookmark back in it's place and set it down to see what she most likely returned with this time.

"Oh heeeey Tessa. Oh no. Another one?" J had spoken up as Tessa stood there. I see the cutest drone look out from behind her legs, yellow eyes blinking in silence. My brown eyes meet hers and she shyly steps out. The bow in her wig matched my sister's.

"This is Cyn. I found her and decided to bring her back. The poor thing." Tessa had spoken up in her accent. Cyn shyly waves at me. I smiled and crouched.

"Hi. I'm Callie." She stepped closer.

"Sheepish wave. I am Cyn." I giggled some and she smiles. My hands take hers and she says, "I like how warm you are." I nod.

"I'm a human. Wow, I love your bow Cyn!" I complimented the drone. I notice the faint yellow glowing on her cheeks. It seemed like someone had a crush.

"Thank you. Callie." I grinned. "I can show you around if you want?" She nods. I take her hand and we walk together hand in hand. I tried to hide my own blush.

It turns out I wasn't the only one that was flustered.

___________________________

Giggle.

Cyn liked this "human". Even Tessa wasn't this overly kind to a bot with the Solver. She was the first host for it after all. The skin of the girl in hers' hand that held onto her hand was warm and she blinks, finding her robotic heart beating ever so faster.

A crush. That was what Cyn was feeling right now. The Solver even found this human interesting enough to keep around.

"Shuffle, shuffle, shuffle." The drone says. It perhaps might've been a programming error, or even maybe the Solver affecting her coding. Cyn looks up at me as we walked. She smiles and even lays her head on our hands. The light purring of her insides playing faint sounds.

She lifts her head with her hand as her yellow eyes scan my vitals.

Alive.

Cyn wouldn't know what she would do if I was hurt or worse. Overprotectiveness surges through her and the faintest growl in her chest of how possessive she was of me.

...

I giggled to myself. This human was interesting to me.

My eyes scanned her vitals. She was most likely the most prettiest human to me. Callie shows me around the mansion. But I didn't care, not when the most interesting thing was right in front of me right now.

My Solver takes over my eye and I giggled to myself.

This would be fun.

...

Tessa shows Cyn her new room, which was the only other free room; the basement. Which was the perfect place for her eldritch form to stay in for now. She'd keep her eyes all over the mansion, especially in Callie's room. She was obsessed with her now.

And she would always dream of taking her, the one human that managed to capture her non existent robot heart. Keeping her to herself even. Her glowing yellow eyes the only light in the dark room.

The Solver's symbol in her eye now.

"Giggle. This will be fun."

___________________________

Cyn lied on the basement floor, just coloring peacefully along with humming some. Her Solver eye scans over the paper. She was drawing Callie and her together. Holding hands with the words, Taking Over The World Together

With flames in the background and she grins. This human seemed easy enough to befriend and get close to. And she could just play the innocent card if she really wanted. She was just that cute enough.

Giggling she leaves the basement and her other form that was there behind down there. She skips through the mansion's hallways and stops outside Callie's room and pushes the door in. It was a huge bedroom. Books stacked together for reading.

The human was currently gone right now.

Scowling, Cyn starts being nosy and looking around for her new human friend. Throwing whatever wasn't important enough out of her way.

"Scowl. Where is she?"

She finally hears me in the bathroom and stands outside of the door, listening to me doing something. Water ran and she grinned mischievously realizing I was most likely taking a shower.

Cyn stops her own hand from turning the knob. Why did she stop? Her hand freezes mid-air. Cyn scowls again. "What is wrong with me?" She demanded, mainly from herself. Her eyes glitched and she stumbled backwards.

Holding her head with her hands, Cyn's eyes finally look at my room one more time before she leaves. Why was she acting like this? She wasn't supposed to care about humanity.

And definitely not a human girl like Callie.

___________________________

I stand in my dress and look around my room confusingly. Why was my stuff everywhere? I start picking my books up and restacking them. I sigh and sit on my bed. I wondered if Cyn was up and about already.

I smile to myself. I wanted to be her first friend here after all. What I didn't know that she was already watching me currently as I fixed my own bed. She tilted her head from behind the wall and walked in some.

The drone blinks as she finally says, "Hello Callie." I turned and looked at the small drone that went up to my waist. "Hey there Cyn. You've been fitting in well?" She nods and pulls my skirt. "I wanted to see you."

Her yellow eyes blinked innocently. I giggle some. "That's fine. Do you wanna hang out with me then?"

The bot tilts her head. "Hang out?" Mainly sounding confused on the word. I nod.

I hold my hand out and her metal hand takes mine. "Yeah. Meaning we're friends now if you'd want?"

Cyn nods. "I would like to be friends with you."

She smiles, tongue out some. I pat her head affectionately. She was adorable.

___________________________

Drones were busy dusting the shelves as we walked through the mansion together. I do my usual morning waves to my other friends. V just waves as she dusts somewhere up high on the ladder. I smile and miss Cyn's scowl when she saw the drone interacting with me.

She was hers. Possessiveness in her stomach. A small growl arises inside of Cyn. She was already growing quite fond of the human girl.

V frowns and raises an eyebrow at Cyn's reaction but doesn't say anything. She already knew how troublesome the smaller drone was and didn't want to anger her any further. Or to look bad in front of her favorite human.

While J and N were Tessa's favorites, V and Cyn were the younger Elliot's favorites. And the two couldn't get along.

The Solver cymbol in Cyn's eye glitches some as we passed her. However it doesn't go unnoticed by V who was still watching us. Her pupils zoomed out and she hides her gasp. Collecting herself before falling off the ladder that she was still on.

One thing she knew was, that the new drone might not be up to anything good.

It's finally done! 🙌

___________________________

It was finally nearing the gala in the mansion. It was my first to attend so I had made sure that I would make a great impression on everyone attending.

Apparently our parents had found us potential suitors, that me and Tessa weren't fond of getting to know about.

I didn't know that Cyn overheard them, making her even more possessive of her favorite human.

...

I was trying on dresses for the gala when I heard V knock, bringing a smile to my face before answering it. She looks up at me, blushing some seeing me in a dress that wasn't my typical outfit.

"Hey V. What's up?" I greet the bot.

She shakes her head and speaks up. "I was just checking on you. I just want you to know that I don't trust Cyn. She's crafty. And gives me the creeps." She whispers the last part, as if said drone might hear her.

My gaze softens. "Aww V. I appreciate it, but I don't think Cyn would even hurt a fly. Maybe you'll warm up to her like I did during the gala. For me?"

She sighs. "Of course." I hug the drone and she visibly relaxes in it. I miss her nuzzling into my neck. Splitting from the hug I watch as she walks away, looking back at me once for reassurance. I nod and smile encouragingly as she waves before disappearing.

I feel someone watching me, recognizing those yellow eyes. Cyn steps out from behind a corner and looks up at me with innocent eyes. Her eyes scan my attire.

"You look- hmm different."

The drone walks up to my knees and I crouched so she could mess with a strand of my hair. I giggled at her exploration. Her yellow eyes blinked in curiosity.

"Thanks. You look great too Cyn." I affectionately pet her head and she leans into it. Her arms lazily hugging my waist as I hold her close. Not seeing a jealous V behind the wall watching us with envy in her gaze.

...

"Quick! Human's are coming! I've only been around robots and my own sister. What do I do J?" Tessa panics and J motions towards herself for emphasis.

"Right. On ya girl." She rubs her own waist in thought as I arrived. "Callie!" She hugs me and I hugged her back.

"Couldn't miss a thing now can I?" I said as the hug breaks. Tessa perks up at seeing N.

"N!" She runs and hugs him, making him speak up through the hug. "Hey Tessa."

"Oh, who did you bring with... you?" Distaste obvious as she looks down at Cyn who came in with him. I wince as I feel my sister's dislike towards the smaller drone.

"It seems J forgot to let me out of my basement time again." I immediately looked at my sister accusingly. Locking Cyn up like an animal?

"Yet here you are." J says dismissively. Spinning and catching the key.

"You guys are locking her up?" I turn to Tessa for an explanation. "Callie I can explain-"

I cut her off, not wanting to hear it. "I need some time to myself." She nods sadly, her eyes looking downcast. My heart softens at my sister's body language.

"I just need to think for a minute. I'll be back." I turn and walk away. Cyn watches me go with possession in her eyes.

...

Sitting at an empty table by myself I hear Cyn approaching me. "Criss cross apple sauce. What is the matter Callie?" She sits by me.

I smile sadly and shake my head. "Nothing much Cyn." I pet her head affectionately as she leans into my touch again. She even purrs some melting my heart.

"I don't get why they lock you up. You're not even harmful." I murmur to her. Cyn giggles as I cup her face in my hands. I smile and giggle some with her.

...

The potential suitor arrives and I tense up at his arrival. Cyn sees him across the room and her yellow eyes don't waver, glitching some in possession.

She could feel my discomfort as my parents greet his family.

"Callie. This is my daughter." Mother introduces us, my nose already wrinkling as he kisses my hand politely. Cyn's grip on my leg cutting into it some and I hide my discomfort.

He bows. "M'lady. I am Sir Liam. It is nice to meet a beautiful young lady such as yourself."

Cyn's yellow eyes glare and he finally notices my figurative guard dog. Raising a brow.

"Ah. I didn't know you were into robots." I wince.

"Not really. That's really my sister's thing." I hide behind the fib.

Cyn growls quietly in her chest, the Solver already playing on her feelings for me. She didn't like sharing me.

"Callie, that's very rude. I taught you better than that." Mother scolds and I apologize rather quietly.

I hated his staring and questions and carelessness about my robot. I didn't even want a suitor this young. I was the girl that liked her books, not the girl my parents made me out to seem.

"She is mine." Solver pokes through in Cyn's personality, making him uncomfortable. Her hands possessively grip my leg under the table as she makes herself at home in my lap. I bite back a moan as she rubs her scent in me.

Making the boy's nose wrinkle in disgust. He turns and leaves to probably flirt with another girl.

Cyn grins triumphantly. Wrapping her arms around my waist again, I hold her closer now. Thankful that she defended me. I didn't care if I had to face my parents' wrath later. It was worth it.

___________________________

My sister retrieves me. I leave Cyn at the table as we talked outside the ballroom.

"You've been odd all night long. Tell me why you were with Cyn." She speaks first.

I defend the drone. "Oh what? You literally lock her up in the basement. Tell me why you do that!"

Tessa winces and answers me. "She's dangerous Cal. Has she not felt odd not one bit?"

I didn't want to give my older sister the satisfaction of being potentially right. It must just be a bug in her programming, nothing more.

Before I could retaliate in reply a weird sound comes from the ceiling. We freeze up seeing a different looking robot with wings climbing the ceiling.

It was V.

Tessa stands before me. "Sis? Stay behind me." She tries to sound tough, her arm extended to protect me.

We dashed back into the ballroom.

...

Earlier after I had left Tessa and the bots to take time to think, mother decides to punish her for letting Cyn get in here. Claiming them as "dumpster pets."

Trying to defend herself, Tessa against her own wishes is chained in her room.

"Cyn! If something happens to that butler I swear!"

Cyn nonchalantly talks as she plays with her horses. "Mmm I have backups."

Suddenly an eldritch version of Cyn takes her place in the window. "It's best if you stayed away from the gala. You seem squeamish." She speaks before disappearing through the window leaving Tessa standing there in frozen fear.

...

"Sis? What just happened back there?" I was scared now. She turns to me. "It's Cyn. She's doing something with the drones. Callie you have to promise me that you'll go into hiding, okay?" She grasps my shoulders.

I stammer. "Wh- why?" She sighs as she takes my hands in hers. I have never seen my sister look so distraught before.

"I'll handle this. Okay? Just stay safe." I wipe the sudden tears on my face and back up to dash out of the room.

I hear the ballroom doors slam shut, and I immediately run back and fiddle with them. Locked. My heart drops as I hear screaming coming from inside. I panic. "Tessa! Please let me in!" I dropped to my knees and sob into my hands.

Please be okay.

___________________________

I've been on the run since that day at the mansion. I didn't know if my sister had survived or not. And the drones. Were they okay? And Cyn... The thought of the small drone made my heart wrench. I prayed for them to have somehow lived.

I run and not look back as the screams get farther and farther away. I wipe the tears as I sobbed. My legs hurt. My body hurts. My heart hurts.

I stand over the world on a hill, looking back once at my childhood home. My fists tightened.

I'll get them back.

___________________________

20 Years later

The ship lands on the planet's surface before I hopped out of it. My metal arm reminding me of my repurposed body parts in order to stay alive longer. The yellow glow of my robot eye scans the desolate streets.

It was snowing and freezing. Which probably didn't help my metal limb.

Using my powers to dig through the snow I hear a rustling noise. I hide behind a broken ship as a purple drone digs through the debris for something. I could feel my heart pounding. I was the only human left after all.

I jumped when another drone appears with dangerous wings. I gasped quietly. No way-

It was N.

I had to know why he looked so different now. Who- was it Tessa? My heartbeat speeds up. She had to be alive too, right?

My glowing yellow eye scans as I stay hidden.

*wack*

I stand up behind the broken pieces again. The drone had slapped him with something.

"Did you just slap me with that arm?"

She drops the weapon. "Holy shit it talks."

I finally stepped out. She gasps and holds a gun at me. "A human. What're you doing here?" She demands.

I hold my hands up in surrender. "Hey hey. I'm not going to hurt you."

"Callie?" I get hugged immediately by the drone. I hugged him back. "Hey N. Long time no see."

"You're alive? I thought- thought you didn't make it out."

I reply quickly. "No. I did. And Tessa saved me." I hugged myself. My sister's and my last fight coming back to me. I didn't even get to say goodbye-

"That's enough sad stories for now. What's important is what a human is doing here." I turned to the purple drone.

"Right- I was looking for a new planet to live on. Earth kinda got left in shambles." I laughed nervously rubbing my neck.

She hmphs and I stand there awkwardly shifting foot to foot.

"Wait N- where's V and J at? Are they okay?" I was worried for my family.

"They also made it out. V hasn't been the same since you disappeared." I feel bad for the bot. She probably blamed herself for my disappearance.

"About that- they should be back by now-" I noticed the purple drone was now gone. Where'd she go-

Two drones land and I squeak as I stable myself on the ground.

"Hey there's a drone out there that I kinda want to practice balloon animals with- what happened here?" V finally sees me by N and she freezes up.

"V?" I carefully took one step to her. "Callie?" I hugged her and she holds on, fighting the shaking in her body.

"I'm okay V. I missed you."

We separated from the hug. She touches my metal arm. "You're-?"

I laugh some. "Yup. It kept me alive for this long."

J punches my arm softly with a small smile on her face. "We missed ya you know." I affectionately ruffle her hair.

"Thanks. Means a lot J."

"I'm assuming my sister is..." I trailed off.

"Uhm actually she's the one that repurposed us." N speaks up again. I freeze up and then speak. "She did? That's great news! She can help us."

"Wait- Cyn. What happened to her?" I was extremely worried for my little friend. V's eye twitches.

"She's gone Callie." J answers me. My entire world shatters. Every moment we had shared replays in my head on loop. She really can't be gone, right-?

I dropped to my knees hugging myself and crying. V hugs me and nuzzles me. I tremble. It was true and I didn't want it to be.

"I'm sorry for this Callie-" A sharp prick and I gasped as I fell unconscious in the snow. Memories fuzzy.

...

I jolted awake in a ship. N hurries over. "Goodness! I thought you wouldn't wake up." My brain fuzzy as I see a chained V. She looked defeated. And she ignores my glare with a wince. No way she didn't just prick me-

"You're awake finally." Uzi enters the ship. Hand on her hip. I sass back. "Nice to see you again too." I sit up as N helps me. I smirked to myself seeing V getting jealous. It was what she deserved.

"What did I miss?" I finally groaned.

"Uh- I'll explain later. But for now we're going to look for the humans."

I looked up at him. "I thought they all went extinct-"

"Clearly not if you're here." Uzi bites back.

V glares for me.

"She's trying her best." She gets defensive of her favorite human.

"Alright everyone- we can just figure it all out tomorrow." I come up with a compromise.

"Hmph ruining my murder plan." Uzi scowls and crosses her arms. N tries to comfort her but gets his hand slapped away. He winces and looks down.

"Hey hey. No need to fight guys. We'll figure something out eventually."

"Fineeee." She grumbles.

V smiles awkwardly at me and I feel slightly bad about my earlier anger at her. She just wanted to protect me after all.

"Awww you guys!" N hugs us all and I laughed some.

I had faith in my team. And I knew they all had my back.
