In order to fully control their signets and prevent the condition known as Atrophy, riders must ensure that their physical needs are being met. Needs vary between riders, but for most include nutrition, sleep, social interaction, and, to the chagrin of leadership, sexual fulfillment.

After the battle of Basgiath, Dain is doing his utmost to adjust to the new order of things; trying to repair his friendship with Violet (including keeping secret Xaden's venin state), and developing solutions to integrate the fliers - certainly not motivated by budding feelings for a Poromish princess.
Xaden is battling to keep in control and ensure that despite any changes happening to him, all of Violet's needs are met. Even if he needs to use the Quadrants former golden boy to do it. Violet is mourning her mother and in turmoil about Xaden's condition and just wants to be ready to fling herself into finding a cure.
Meant to be a x/v/d smutty one-shot but developed into a story featuring dragon lore, war college drama, power struggles, and very tested morals.
Dain-centric, follows a lot of the main OS timeline but with AU elements.
