Infirmary Injury Reports

Summary:

Will Solace gets to actually do his job, these are injury reports from Camp-Half Blood.

Descriptions are medical, but might get graphic.

Details of Incident:

Percy walked into the Infirmary with a 2-inch deep gash running from the top of his left shoulder down to the middle of his forearm.

 

Treatment(s):

Washed out with fresh water, this healed majority of the wound. Arm bandaged. Stitches not necessary. Scaring likely. Patient is encouraged to not use arm for 24 hours and come back to Infirmary afterwards.

Healer’s Notes:

It's incredibly handy that water fixes most of Percy's injuries, I don't have to use my (already limited) Necter and Ambrosia. Still surprised he didint need Stitches honestly.

Other: Explosion, Mercury Poisoning.

 

Details of Incident:

Leo was brought to the Infirmary by Nyssa and Harley, speaking of a "Mega Generator" exploding. Patient was tremoring and had a unsteady walk. When pressed to talk, patient says his vision was blurred and he couldn't feel his right arm, right leg, or face. He confirmed he didint have any memory of what happened. Upon father inspection patient was shown to have fragments of metal embedded into his chest just above the collarbone on the right and the right shoulder. When asking kin, Nyssa confessed she didint know much about the project and that she had not been in the forge, however she heard a "Massive boom" and rushed to help. (Note: The boom was loud enough that it could be heard all the way across camp). Harley confesses the project being his idea and having recruited Leo for aid, the idea was to create a generator that could burn coal at a far more efficient rate. In a failed test run, the generator heated up to temperatures Harley reported at over 700°F before exploding. Harley had been ordered by Leo to exit the forge before the explosion while Leo had stayed behind to try and salvage the project or dismantle it safely.

 

Treatment(s):

Called for aid, 3 medics on standby. Shrapnel was removed immediately and wounds treated. Vitakensis found an unknown poison. Blood was drawn. Patient put on fluids and monitor. Administratoring Ambrosia proved to help aid the tremoring and double vision, but did not completely fix it. Resorted to treating symptoms while Kayla ran blood work to figure out the cause. Austin preformed an antidote song, this proved very effective in treating symptoms for a temporary amount of time. Blood work comes back positive for Mercury. Patient put on oxygen after diagnosing inhalation of organic mercury. Ordered bed rest until farther notice with heavy monitoring. Lecture given on dangers of working his hazardous materials to Harley. Lecture given on keeping tabs on the younger members of your cabin to Nyssa.

I'm going to have to keep a MUCH closer eye on the supplies that are brought into camp now. Thank Hephaestus for Leo being fire proof or we might have had a Gaea remix. This was not the way I thought my Sunday would start.

Yippeee second chapter done. The first one was really simple so I wanted to try and do like a detailed one with actual research behind it.(I got my information from Cleveland Clinic if anyone's curious) Also fun fact the original Healers note for this was just "Holy fucking shit man." Before I realized that's probably not sufficient. I'd love some more ideas of what to do though, (And more poisons. There a special interest of mine.) I'm just kinda playing this by ear with no real plan lmao.

Leo's fine btw. We're gonna continue and pretend this never happened. (However Mercury is known to weaken the central nervous system and kidneys, so if anything else happens to Leo (EXTREMELY LIKELY) I'll maybe try to reference back to that? Idk we'll see)

I've noticed a lot of people doing this based off of Camp Half-Blood Incident Reports by and I love the silly, but I kinda got curious as to what it would be if it was more serious? So these are the few reports that are actually injuries. These are all filled out by Will himself because he stopped trusting everyone due to the mischief. Would totally love some suggestions, I won't promise to use them, but Id love to hear some ideas!
