Chapter 1: Hook up

Chapter Text

Being out here in the wilderness was still taking some getting used too. Food being scarce, privacy nonexistent and the idea of recuse still uncertain.

They all were trying to keep morality up high though. Having daily campfire gossip. Everyone had different chores to do everyday like getting water or chopping wood, taking dips in the near by lake.

Really anything to keep them distracted from the pure helplessness of the new reality they were now in. Everyday goal was just to get to the next day.

Today Misty and Natalie were on the water duty.

“Hey, what are you doing? We need to get back to the cabin before sunset.” Misty said she as watched Natalie sit down onto a fallen log near the lake, her arms strained as she carried the full bucket of water below her torso.

“It still bright and early, I’m sure we’ll be fine if we take a few moments to relax.” Natalie said, placing down her full bucket onto the ground before patting the spot next for her for Misty to sit down. Misty huffed slightly, the wilderness already freaked her out enough as it is.

The thick trees that stretched in miles in all directions, the sounds of twigs snapping and leaves crunching at random that she often wonder was just her imagination trying to fill in for how quiet it was out there, the hopelessness.

Though she was desperate for some form of privacy, being stuck in a small cabin with girls who barely tolerated her didn’t give her much to any. So she obliged, putting her bucket down near her side of the log before sitting down next to Natalie.

Misty jumped slightly when she felt Natalie put her hand on her thigh, squeezing what little meat Misty had on there before scooting closer to her. Her head on Misty shoulder as she started to viciously suck and nip at her neck, her arms wrapped around Misty upper body as she pulled her in closer.

“Natalie. . . Not here. Someone will find us.” Misty whined yet didn’t pull away from Natalie touch. She loved her touch, how soft and gentle it could be yet also rough at the same time. “I thought you said we would stop doing this.”

“That was before we got stranded in the middle of buttfuck nowhere. I've been so pent up since we got here. My dick is aching for release. I need you, Misty.” Natalie hand glided up her body and to her chest where she squeezed her clothed breast, Misty let out an embarrassingly loud moan as her nipples harden underneath Natalie touch.

“No bra?” Natalie smirked as she tease the harden nipples, twisting them in between her slim fingers. “It’s u-uncomfortable wearing it all day and I thought I would just get poop bucket duty or something today.” Misty whined.

Natalie pulled her hands away from Misty breast which made the poor girl give off a pathetic whine at the sudden friction loss.

Natalie hands reached out to grab Misty waist through before she could Misty scooted away. “Huh?” Natalie murmured unintentionally, surprised from the sudden mood change. She looked up at Misty, her whole body visibly tense and her face was pale. Not ghostly pale but visibility a bit paler.

“I-I’m sorry. Can we actually not today? I feeling a bit under the weather. I-I think being outside so much is finally getting to me. I haven’t been out this long in sun since I was like in elementary school. Sucks we don’t have sunscreen too.” Misty let out a small chuckle as she looked up at Natalie, not meeting her eyes but just looking in her general direction. Her fingers fidgeting, no eye contact, awkward chuckles, rambling, all the things Misty did when she was uncomfortable.

“Umm, yeah. Of course.” Natalie mumbled.

“Thanks.” Misty pauses. “We should get going soon. The girls might start to get worried we got devoured by some hungry wolves or something.”

Natalie looked down at her crotch, her protruding bulge very much visible. No one expected Coach Scott, Martinez, Misty and her parents knew. The coach’s only knew just because they had to decide to whether or not she could be on the team despite not being born a biological girl. And Misty since they been hooking up. Other than those three and her parents no one knew about her identity and she trying to keep it that way. “I think I’ll just stay here a little while longer.”

“Oh, okay.” Misty mumbled. Her shoulders slouching at Natalie words. “I’m going to stay going. Be back soon. Please.”

With that Misty stood up and picked her bucket up. She looked back at Natalie one last time with those big, sad, brown eyes of hers before heading her way back to the cabin. The sound of her foot steps fading as she got farther and farther way from the lake until she was completely out of Natalie sight.

Natalie sighed as she looked back down at her crotch again, still hard. She closed her eyes and tried to think of anything that would calm down her excited buddy. Anything gross or unsettling.

Rotting fruit, molding cheese, dick cheese, human shit, vomit. Nothing. Nothing was working.

Frustrated, Natalie made her way down to her waistband, pulling down her pants and boxers just enough for her dick to pop out. The tip of her dick red and covered in pre-cum. Her entire length rock hard as the veins on it became more prominent with her arousal. Her hand grasped at the base of it and started to stroke it, not to fast but not to slow.

She thought back to Misty. Had she done something wrong? She didn’t think so. They only had small talk here and there since the plane crash. They slept next to each other in the cramped cabin so maybe it was something she did unintentionally in her sleep? Her mom did always say she tossed and turned a lot in a sleep as a kid.

Maybe she was done being her fuck buddy. They had been hooking up for quite awhile now. Misty had caught Natalie jerking off while in the locker room bathroom and things escalated from here. Before that Natalie just knew Misty as being one of the other outcast in the Yellowjackets. But maybe she was finally done. Ready to move onto someone who would actually commit to her and not just use her as a warm hole to fuck.

It was very much possible that’s what it was which didn’t excite Natalie in slightest. She. . . Like Misty? She was cute and smart and followed her around like a puppy at times, which could be annoying but also endearing. But committing to Misty was completely different.

The idea of her committing to anything, let alone a relationship was unfounded territory. Natalie couldn’t see herself being with some for longer when a few months. And marriage? Wasn’t even in her mind of things she’ll probably do in the future. The idea of spending thousands of dollars just for an over-glamorous party filled with people dressing their best and acting their worst didn’t seem particularly appealing to her. Look at her parents, they’re married and hate each other guts.

Natalie grunted as she looked down at her dick which had now soften. Only a bit of pre-cum had dripped onto the wilderness floor. Looks like she found something to do the trick.

She pulled up her boxers and pants, kicking some dirt over the cum droplets before going over to the lake to wipe her hand of the evidence of her sinfulness.

It was fine. Soon enough they’ll be recused and everything will go back to normal. It’s not like she needed Misty. She could do just fine without her. She has been doing fine without anyone for the past eighteen years of her life. Another eighteen or more shouldn’t be too hard.

With that Natalie picked up her bucket and started heading back to cabin the same way Misty had gone up.

It was fine. She would be fine.

Chapter 2: Talk with Coach. . . And Jackie.

Summary:

Misty gets sick in the woods. Ben finds her. Misty confesses she pregnant. Ben goes full dad mood. And Jackie there too.

Chapter Text

The sun simmered down as the day reached its end. Natalie had spent a lot more time out there near the lake than she even expected. Only now going as she saw the sun's orange glaze reflected onto the lake's water.

“Natalie, there you are! The hell took you so long to get back? We thought you got eaten or something.” She heard a voice call out to her. She looked up just to see a few of the girls on the front porch. Lottie, Jackie, Shauna and Ben.

“I just decided to stay out a bit longer.” Natalie looked over at girls. Looking for Misty’s. “Where's Misty?”

“I dunno. Wasn’t she with you?” Lottie replied, arms crossed over her chest.

“Yeah but she went back earlier than me. Said she was feeling sick or something.” Natalie crossed her arms over her own chest, trying to keep a nonchalant expression despite the uneasiness she felt in her chest.

“Nope. We haven’t seen her. Maybe she got eaten.” Shauna shrugged, her voice laced with sarcasm.

“I’m sure she’s fine. Misty smart. I’m sure she just decided to stay out a little longer.” Jackie lightly hit Shauna's arm which Shauna gave a small ‘ow’ too.

The statement made Natalie's stomach sink a bit.

“I’m going to go look for her.” Natalie said unconsciously, it just felt natural to say. She already turned her back ready to go back into the wilderness and find Misty before a voice spoke up.

“No Natalie, you stay. I’ll go look for her.” It was Coach Scott. He reached over to get his crutches and put them to his sides before standing up. “You just go and rest and I’ll look for her. I've been needing an excuse to get out of this dump anyways.”

Natalie eyes slightly furrowed as she looked over at Ben. “Are you sure? I mean. . . Are you sure you should be walking out there? It's going to get dark soon.” It was obvious why Natalie was asking the question just based on her tone. Ben leg. Or his lack of one

Ben huffed, slightly annoyed but also understanding of Natalie’s concerns. “I’ll be fine, Natalie.” He said, his voice firm but also soft.

“I’ll come too.” Jackie suddenly perked up. Shauna momentarily looks directly at her as if to protest her going before quietly looking away again.

Natalie bit the inside of her cheek. She wanted to protest against them going. Look for Misty herself. But she was admittedly tired. Her eyes were struggling to stay open for more than a few minutes and her feet were sore from standing and walking nearly all day. She desperately just wanted to lay down and just rest for a few minutes.

“I. . . Okay. I’ll be by the porch in case you guys need me.” Natalie lowered her hands to her side, avoiding the other faces as she made her way to the cabin's porch. Sitting down on the front steps.

“Well. . . Okay. Me and Coach Scott will be back in a bit.” Jackie gave the group a small, confident smirk and thumbs up while standing by Ben's side.

“Good luck.” Lottie called out as she sat beside Natalie on the steps. Waving the two goodbye as they headed into the wilderness.

Natalie's heart slightly twisted as they saw them get farther and farther away until she eventually couldn’t see them anymore as the tree of the wilderness engulfed them. It should be her looking for Misty. Not them. She was Misty friend.

Though as they got farther away she didn’t do anything. Didn’t try to stand up and follow them. Instead just sitting on the front steps of the cabin as Lottie said to talk her ear off about something.

“Misty! Misty! Ben called out, looking around himself every time he did. Still no signs of Misty.

“I’m starting to get worried.” Jackie voiced her concerns. Her face forming into a worried expression. “Do you think something happened to her?”

Ben shrugged his shoulders. “Misty’s a smart girl. I’m sure she either just lost or decided to stay back for some fresh air and lost track of time.”

“I hope so. No offense to Misty but she couldn’t run to save her life. Literally.” Jackie snickered.

Ben let out a small chuckle at Jackie's statement. “Hey, no making fun of your teammates, captain. But really, I’m sure she’s fine.” Ben's voice lowered down as he tried to hide the fake confidence in his voice. Truly he was worried too. It was mostly just a gut feeling mixed with the fact that they were in the middle of nowhere surrounded by a huge forest they didn’t know anything about. Just purely running in circles while hoping nothing got too hungry and decided they would be an easy snack.

Ben stopped making Jackie bump into his back. “Hey, what the hold up—?“ “Shh.” Ben instantly shushed her which Jackie bewilderedly compelled too. . . She could hear something! It sounded like. . . Breathing? Like really heavy breathing.

Jackie looked farther ahead. She could see something, no, someone not so far away. She noticed those blonde curls from a mile away. It was Misty. From the looks of it Misty didn’t look to be in any danger. No visual injuries or blood on her.

“Hey Misty! Over here!!” Jackie called out, waving her arms up high for Misty to see yet she didn’t move. Jackie tilted her head in confusion as she lowered her arms. “Did she not hear me?”

“Maybe. I’ll go over to her, you stay back here.” Ben looked back at Jackie, his voice firm and authoritative. She huffed but complied. Leaning against one for the many trees in wilderness as she watched Ben walk over to Misty. Getting farther and farther with each step.

As Ben got closer he got a better look at the curly hair girl. Her whole body was shaking. Her head resting against the bark of one of the many trees around as she clutched her stomach. He looked farther down just to see a pile of what he assumed to be vomit near her feet.

Misty doesn’t seem to notice him as her gaze is to the ground. Her mouth agape as some drool hung from her lip.

“Hey Misty, you okay?” Ben asked, trying to keep his voice nice and gentle as she rested a hand on Misty’s back. He felt her tense up at the sudden move but slowly relaxed as her shoulder slouched down. Misty weakly turned over her head to look at Ben, her face pale, lip quivering and eyes slightly red and puffed up.

“I. . .” Misty’s voice was weak and quiet as she spoke. Her lips quivering as the words she was trying to start were stuck in her throat.

“Hey, I got you Misty. I got you.” Ben rubbed Misty back in circles, patiently waiting for her to be ready to speak.

“I’m. . . I’m pregnant.”

Oh.

oh.

“Oh.” Was all that escaped Ben's mouth as his hand froze and stopped rubbing Misty back. Instead looking at Misty with wide eyes and surprised expression. Pregnant? How the hell did Misty get pregnant? She was like. . . She was Misty!

He refocused his eyes back to Misty. Tears running down her round cheeks as she sniffed and whimpered. “I’m sorry. . .” Misty cries out, crying softly as she wiped the tears with her sleeve.

Ben wrapped his arms around her, holding her tightly against him as he let her cry into his shoulder. Wetting his sweater with her salty tears. “Let it out. It’s okay. It’s okay.”

“No it's not okay!” Misty cried out, her voice shaky as dug her nails into Ben’s back though he couldn’t feel it much with the thick sweater he was wearing. “I’m f-fucking pregnant out of the middle of nowhere throwing up in the damn woods! Nothing about this is okay!” Misty yelled. Weeks of backed up emotions finally spilling out into this. A pathetic tantrum.

Ben let her. Let her claw at his back as she sobbed and screamed out all her frustrations. Let her go through the stages until she tuckered herself out. “It’s not. . . Okay. It’s not. . .” Misty huffed as she slowed down her clawing, her whole body now weak from the amount of energy she had just used in such a short amount of time. “I’m. . .”

“I’m here for you, Misty.” Ben finally spoke, holding Misty close as she fell limp in his arms. Utterly exhausted.

“Promise?”

“Promise.”

Snap.

Fuck. Jackie.

Ben and Misty heads both turned simultaneously behind them and there stood Jackie like a deer in headlights. Her eyes wide, her body froze as she looked forward at Ben and Misty and a broken stick underneath her foot which had caused the snapping sound.

Ben looked back down at Misty. Her face froze. Two people now knew. Two! Her chest started to go up and down rapidly as she hyperventilated. Was it a set up? Had Ben intentionally gotten the information out her while Jackie spied on them? Why was Jackie there? Who else knew? Did anybody else know? All these questions circle through Misty's head as her breathing quickened and her vision blurred with tears.

“Get off of me.” Misty whispered.

“Huh?” Ben mumbled, his arms still wrapped around her.

“I said get off of me!” Misty yelled, shoving Ben back which made him release his grip on her. Ben let out a small “oof” as he stumbled backwards.

“I wasn’t spying!” Jackie yelled out catching both Misty and Ben off guard. “Umm, both me and Ben decided to look for you since it was getting late and you still weren’t at the cabin. Ben told me to stay back when we saw you and so I did and when. . . Yeah.”

Misty stood there, mouth slightly agape as she looked forward to Jackie. Swallowing a lump that had been stuck in her throat. “H-How much did you hear?”

Jackie looked away guiltily. “Enough to hear about the umm. . . Pregnant stuff.”

Jackie tried looking back at Misty just to see her staring directly at her making her look back away. “Promise me.” Misty finally spoke, desperation seeping into her voice. “You won’t tell. Not Shauna. Not Lottie. Not Taissa. Not Van. Not Natalie. No one. I. . . I can’t let this get out, Jackie. Please, I’m begging. Keep this a secret. N-Name a price. I’ll do anything. Please just don’t let anybody else know. . . Please. I’m begging you.”

Jackie's eyes softened as she heard Misty's desperate voice. As she whimpered and quivered and begged Jackie not to tell. Not that she planned to anyways.

“Hey, look Misty. I’m not telling, okay? You don’t gotta do anything for me. I promise.” Jackie said, a small, comforting smile on her face.

“Really? Promise?” Misty whimpered. She knew to some extent she could trust Jackie. She was basically the definition of loyal made into a person.

“Promise.” Jackie nodded her head in agreement.

“Cmon Misty, I got you.” Ben murmured as he picked Misty practically limp body up. Holding her up in his arms as Misty head rested on his shoulder, nuzzling into the warmth of his neck cavity. “Let’s get going. It's about to get dark soon.”

“Should you really be carrying her?” Jackie asked as she saw Ben carefully struggling to hold Misty up with his one leg.”

“Yes, I’ll be fine. Let’s go.” Ben looked forwards and started to walk. Jackie wrapped an arm around his waist to help with his balance with he caused him to sigh softly through not protest.

“Right ahead of you.” Jackie stated as she walked by Ben's side. Looking over at Misty. She had already passed out on Ben's shoulder.

Poor girl.

Natalie sat at the front porch, Shauna at the doorway as they both waited for Jackie, Ben and hopefully Misty arrival.

“Do you think they're coming back?” Shauna asked, her arms across her chest as she shivered of the nightly cold wind breezing through the wilderness.

“They will.” Natalie replied, trying to keep the uncertainty out of her tone as she tapped her foot anxiously.

“Hey guys, we’re back.” A voice called out from the trees. Undoubtably Jackie voice.

Finally.

Natalie stood up as she heard the voice, looking forward to see Ben and Jackie there along with Misty who was currently being carried by Ben as Jackie helped him keep balance.

“What happened?” Natalie ran up to them and took Misty from Ben's grasp. Carefully making sure not to wake her up as she maneuvered her into her own hands.

“Apparently she just got lost. She was pretty tuckered out by the time we found her.” Jackie twirled her thumbs as she looked over at Ben.
“Yeah, she's okay though. No injuries or nothing.” Ben momentarily looked back at Jackie before looking forwards as Natalie. “Take her to the attic. She needs rest.”

Natalie looked at them both suspiciously through her worry overrode her suspicion as she instinctively started making her way back to the cabin without another word.

“Wow, what happened to Misty?” Van looked up as Natalie made her way inside with an unconscious Misty.

“Is she okay?” Taissa asked, a tint of worry in her voice.

Natalie ignored the questions. Making her away over to the ladder leading up the attic and holding Misty tightly as she made her way up.

She laid Misty down onto the makeshift bed already up there in the attic. Making sure she was covered and warm as she laid next to her.

Natalie laid next to Misty for a while. Just staring at Misty’s face as she slept. She snuggled up closer to her. Arms wrapping around her waist as she kissed Misty's head goodnight.

“Good night, Misty. I love you.”

With that Natalie stood up and left the attic. Letting Misty sleep as she went back with the rest of the girls.

Chapter Text

Natalie walked side by side with Misty as Misty had gotten laundry duty and Natalie just decided to tag along.

“Are you planning on coming with us to the lake today? You haven’t gone for quite awhile now.” Natalie asked, face still faced forward on the path they took to her back to camp. “I’m pretty sure only Jackie and Coach Scott aren’t going.”

“No, sorry Nat. I’m just not in the mood today. I’ll stay back with Coach and Jackie.”

Natalie groaned at Misty words.

Misty had rejected basically every single invitation she had given her to hangout. Either if it was just a walk to the lake and back or chilling on the porch she was always ‘not in mood’ for it.

It wasn’t even about sex at this point. Natalie just wanted to be with Misty. Either alone or in-front of others. Nat missed her rambling, her cheeky smile, how easily she blushed, she just wanted Misty back. Though she would never admit that out loud.

Don’t even get her started on fucking Jackie. Ever since that day both Ben and Jackie had heroically saved Misty from a bad tummy ache Jackie and Misty was basically tied to another fucking hips now. Always doing chores together, talking to one another at basically any chance they got yet Misty could barely give her the light of day.

“Why not? Everyone else is going. You don’t even have to go in the water, you can just stay by the shore. I’ll stay with you.” Desperation seeped into Natalie voice though so minuscule she doubt Misty noticed.

“I’ll go next time, I promise.” Misty smiled which made Natalie heart slightly melt, she never realized just how much she missed it.

“Okay, I’m keeping you to that promise.” Natalie smiled back, placing a small kiss on Misty cheek. She could see the slight red tint on Misty pale cheeks as she pulled away. Cute.

“When are you planning on spilling the beans, Mis?” Jackie asked as she laid down next to Misty, Coach Ben also near by as he sat on a chair close to where all the beds were positioned. “Natalie been giving me death glares ever since we started hanging out more and Shauna acting like a jealous ex now whenever I decline her invitation to hangout like we don’t really every single day. I’m afraid they’re going to go full on Chucky on me one day.”

“Soon.” Misty replied.

“How long is soon?” Jackie asked. “Cause we don’t know how much longer we’re going to be out here and I doubt the girls would appreciate a surprise baby one day.”

“Dunno, Jackie. How would I even go about telling them? Omg, hey guys! I know we’re stranded in the middle of nowhere stressing out about food and all but I’m pregnant! Yay. Yipe.” Misty tone was full of sarcasm as she played out the scene much to Jackie amused and a small chuckle from Ben.

“You don’t need to be a dick about it. I’m just saying we should be telling the group soon in case recuse does take longer when expected. Y’know, be fair.” Jackie paused. “Who even is the dad by the way? You never say anything about the dad.

Misty froze at Jackie question. It was an innocent question and from Jackie tone she knew she didn’t mean it in a mocking way. Just general curiosity. She couldn’t just outright say Natalie was the dad through. Both Ben and Jackie would probably look at her like she was insane, she couldn’t blame them. From an outside view Natalie was a completely biological girl. She looked like a girl, sounded like one, had a girly name but Misty knew. The others didn’t and unless Natalie wanted to them too she wasn’t going to for her.

“Just this random dude I was hooking up with for awhile. We met at a party and things kinda just went from there.” Misty lied, her voice hesitating with each word that came out. It felt like such a bold face lie that she was sure Jackie was going to call her out on it.

A party hook up? Really? That was the best she could come up with? Even a secret boyfriend would have been more believable. . . Since it was technically true but that was beside the point.

“Really? Didn’t know you were getting around like that you dirty girl.” Jackie teased, a small smirk on her face as she slapped Misty hand playfully.

Misty blushed at Jackie words, a shy smile on her face as she slapped her back.

Silence felt over the three of them as both Jackie and Misty looked up at the dark oak roof.

. . .

“Can I feel your belly?”

“Huh?”

Misty stumbled at Jackie sudden question, looking up at her just to see that she had sat up. A obvious hesitate look on her face.

“I know it’s a weird request but I never felt a pregnant belly before. My mom infertile and I was a miracle baby so after having me the chances of her getting pregnant again were very slim to nothing and her pregnancy with me already left her pretty weak so they never really tried again to another baby. I always kinda wanted a sibling and I just—“ Jackie hesitated. “Want to feel it. You can say no if you want, I completely understand if you don’t want me to—“

“Okay, you can touch it.”

“Huh?” Jackie stopped her rambling as she heard Misty answer. “Wait, really? You’ll let me touch it?”

“Go ahead, I don’t mind.” Misty sat up on her bed.

“Oh, okay! I didn’t think you’d agree.” Jackie smile gleefully as she scooted over to Misty. Watching as Misty lifted up her pink cat sweater just enough to show her small baby bump. The sweater hid it well.

Jackie thumb taunted over the stretched skin, caressing the slightly curve of her stomach. “How far along are you?”

Misty paused, thinking momentarily before giving an answer. “Maybe around four months give or take. Maybe a bit more, I’m honestly not sure.”

“Let hope you’re not too far along. This place isn’t exactly the best place to be giving birth.” Ben added onto the conversation. Misty had nearly forgotten he was even here from how quiet he was.

The birth. Something Misty just dreaded thinking about. The idea of pushing another human bearing out of her pelvis sounded like something from a horror movie.

“You guys promise you’d stay by me during the birth, right?” Misty paused, looking back and forward between Ben and Jackie.

“Of course. Would be rude for me to be all up and touchy and not be there for when the baby comes.” Jackie voice was filled with confidence which helped ease Misty nerves a little.

“What Jackie said. But I’m sure by the time you’re due we’ll be recused and back in New Jersey. No need to worry your butt off, Misty.” Ben replied, his voice more monotone and a bit hesitant which didn’t help Misty ease her nerves at all. The comment about being back in New Jersey by the time she was due sounded like he was trying to comfort himself more when he was Misty. It was still appreciated though.

“Thanks. It means a lot, really.” Misty smiled. Looking back at Jackie as she still cradled her tummy, looking at it with pure amazement.

“What about this? By the end of this week we tell them. I’ll be by your side.” Jackie looked up at Misty, biting the inside of her cheek as she waited for her response.

The idea of only having a week to tell everyone including Natalie about her pregnancy made her feel severely uneasy. There was so much to plan out and so much that could go wrong. How would she tell everyone? When to tell everyone. How to handle all their reactions and inevitable question. So much to prepare yet so little time to do so—

“Don’t overthink it.” Jackie replied like she somehow read Misty’s mind. “Just go with the flow and I’ll help you dodge any unnecessary questions they may have. So do we got ourselves a deal?”

Jackie held out her hand to Misty. A shake to close the deal. It made Misty laugh. It was gesture that she had only really seen in action movies so actually doing it in really seemed silly for something as serious as this. But Misty reached out her own hand and clamped it against Jackie, giving her a firm shake.

“Deal.”

Chapter 4: Confession

Summary:

A week and passed a lot of shit had happened. Jackie forces Misty into confessing about her little secret. The plane doesn’t start. Natalie doesn’t know how to handle the news. Sad Misty :(

Chapter Text

This entire week was a doozy.

It started out fine with Travis and Natalie had found a decent amount of food while out hunting. At least enough to last them maybe a week or so if they ate accordingly.

When they got attacked wolves who nearly killed Van and now Laura was trying to fly a plane.

“I always used to watch my grandpa flight, he even let me steer. I know I can do this.” Laura said, her voice completely serious as she pointed over to Van who was currently being comforted by Taissa “You can’t deny Van needs serious medical attention.”

The cabin went silence as Laura words sunk.

“She’s not the only one.” Jackie spoke up, slightly hesitating before looking over at Misty. “Misty, tell them.”

What?

Misty froze as everyone eyes were on here. “I really don’t—“

”Tell them.” Jackie interrupted, her eyes glanced over to the others before setting back onto Misty.

“Yeah, what is it?” “You can tell us, Misty.” Misty could hear a few other voices perk up as they continued to look into her soul. She shifted uncomfortably in her bed as she looked over at Jackie.

Misty knew it was the end of the week but with everything going on she thought maybe Jackie would forget about the promise and give her some more time instead of forcing her into confessing in front of everyone. Apparently not.

“I’m. . . I’m pregnant.” Misty mumbled, eyes locked in onto the ground as silence fell over the cabin once again. When the questions said.

“What?”

“Really?”

“Whose is it?”

“How far along are you?”

So on and so forth.

“I’m not exactly sure. Probably nearing the end of my second trimester or in the middle of it.” Misty fumbled with her words as she tried to answer all their questions all while trying to avoid eye contact with them. With Natalie.

“Did it happen here or. . ?” Mari asked.

“It doesn’t matter when it happened. All that matters is that we get them both help.” Jackie interrupted yet again, the group becoming quiet as she spoke up.

“Laura Lee, you can’t do this. N-No, It’s not even close to safe.” Ben protested, looking straight at Laura as his voice was firm with his disapproval of Laura’s plan.

“There is no safe anymore, Coach Scott.” Laura shot back, her tone just as firm. “It about to be winter soon. If I don’t do this were. “Laura paused. “We’re all going to fucking starve.”

Ben quieted down as he looked around. No words coming out. “Laura, please. Think this through. You could die doing this, y’know that?” His voice was shaky as he looked straight at Laura, eyes filled with desperation that maybe, just maybe, she would change her mind.

Laura nodded. “Yes. I know I may die doing this and I accept that as my fate if it does happen. I rather die trying to get help when starve being to scared not too. I’m sure about my decision, Coach Scott.”

“Okay.” Ben said, his voice filled with defeat as he looked down at his feet. Biting the inside of his cheek.” “Okay.”

Misty watched as Laura tried to start up the plane with no success. It rumble for a few seconds before turning quiet again. Again and again as she tried to start it up.

“Cmon, cmon. . .” Laura muttered under her breath as she tried once more only to get the same result. “It doesn’t make sense. The gas tank is full and the plane doesn’t have serious enough damage to make it unflyable.”

“Maybe it something internal. Like a broken engine or something?” Shauna suggested as she helped Laura off the plane, a small furrow on Laura face as her plan failed. “B-But. . . Can’t we fix it? There has to be something we can do.”

“With what tools, Laura? Even if we did have the right equipment we all don’t know jackshit about engineering a plane back to life.” Laura whined at Shauna words. They were true but still hurt.

“Let’s just get back to the cabin. Get started on our day and hopefully something will turn up.” Ben said as he rubbed Laura back comfortably, clearly she was very upset about her plan failing. Laura nodded, not saying another word.

Misty was mixed. She was relieved that Laura hadn’t had the chance to put herself in any real danger but also a bit fearful. Everyone knew about her pregnancy. Natalie knew. She could feel Natalies eyes on her the entire time out here. Damn Jackie.

Misty laid awake in the attic. The whole day was filled with awkward tense as the girls stared at her with a mix of pity and worry. Being a pregnant teen in the middle of nowhere wasn’t much to be jealous of, clearly.

“Misty.” Misty jumped at the sudden voice. Looking up to see Natalie here, looking right at her though the dark made it difficult to read her expression.

“Hey N-Natalie. What are you—?”

“You weren’t going to tell me?”

Natalie instantly cut in with what she had expected. It wasn’t like Misty didn’t expected to conversation to come up but she didn’t expect it so soon.

“I was but—“

“When why didn’t you?”

Natalie interrupted again. “Why the hell did Jackie know before me? Is that why you guys been all buddy-buddy the past few weeks? You want her to be the daddy of your baby or something?”

“What, no. Why would you even—?”

“Never mind, it clear what you want.” Natalie voice was filled with bitterness as she turned around and left the attic. Leaving Misty there, bewildered.

Misty laid back down, fresh tears in her eyes as she turned to go to bed. Natalie words hurt a lot more when she would have like. She didn’t think Natalie would be happy about the news but didn’t expect her to fully go off on her.

“I hate this.” Misty mumbled pathetically as her lip quivered and tears pour down her cheeks. “I fucking hate this so much.”

Chapter 5: Talk by the Lake

Summary:

Ben trying really hard to be comforting.

Notes:

I promise I’ll have some MistyNat interactions soon😭 enjoy pls

Chapter Text

Misty sat near the lake, head on her knees as she look down at the rocky ground beneath her. Picking up small rocks and throwing them into lake and watched as the made a small splash before sinking down. Over and over again.

She could hear the sound of rocks shifting beside her as someone sat down. She looked over to see that it was Ben, he was looking forward to the lake, his crutches at his side.

“You okay?” Ben asked as he did the same motion as Misty, picking up the small rocks on the ground and throwing them towards the lake.

Misty sighed, her arms wrapping around her legs as she pulled them closer. “Not really. Everyone knows I’m pregnant now and are now treating me like even more of a freak when I already am.”

“Don’t say that about yourself.” Ben spoke up.

“Well it true. I’m not exactly anything to be jealous of, especially not now.”

“It still not good to talk down to yourself.” Ben voice softens.

“So you agree?” Misty raised an eyebrow at Ben.

“No, I don’t.” Ben voice firmed up in a mix of annoyance and worry. “I don’t believe you’re a freak or a loser or whatever else you call yourself. But I don’t know when something wrong, Misty. I known you for quite a while now and can tell that something bugging you and I just want you to know you can talk to me. Tell me what’s on your mind. Especially now with everything going on.”

Misty slightly teared up at Ben’s raised tone. She knew he was only trying to be helpful but with everything going on right now she really wasn’t in the mood for a lecture.

Ben eyes soften as he saw the tears forming at corners of Misty eyes. Fuck. He sucked at this whole comforting thing.

“I’m sorry, Misty. But really, I just want you to be okay. Feel okay.” Ben rested an arm on Misty shoulder, watching now she tensed up which made him pull away. Her lips tightly press together as to not let out any sobs or whimpers.

. . .

“I made a freshman cry once.”

“What?”

Misty looked over at Ben, completely confused as she waited for him to elaborate.

“Back when I first started working as a coach for the girls soccer team there was this freshman who was doing bad. Like terrible. I was trying to prove myself still and decided to kinda just straight up tell her she was doing terrible and when. . .” Ben sighed. “She told me her dad had just died like a month before I didn’t know what to do so I just kinda stared at her and when she started crying and Coach Martinez had to take her aside to calm down.”

“Pfff.”

Ben looked over at Misty who had her hands over her face. Her face red and body shaking as she tired desperately not to burst out laughing. “I-I’m sorry.” Misty mumbled as she buried her face in between her legs, still holding a hand over her mouth as she let out a little chuckles.

Ben let out a quiet sigh of relief when he saw the sight. He much rather Misty laugh at him when cry cause of him. “Hey, I was trying my best and I always saw Martinez using tough love.”

“Sorry. I guess I just never saw you as the type accidentally make someone cry.” Misty looked up at Ben, a small grin on her face as she tried to stop chuckling. “Honestly, I guess I’m just kinda scared about all of this. Not even just the pregnancy and birth but the idea of being a mom in general.

“You don’t think you’ll be a good mom or something?” Ben asked.

“It’s not that I don’t think I could but. . . I guess I’m scared of turning out like my parents. They had me when they were young and missed out on a lot of opportunities because of it. I feel like they resent me because of it, or at least it feels like that to me. I just don’t want my kid feeling the same way I always felt, y’know?”

Ben mouth formed a straight line as he thought about what to say next. He knew a bit about Misty history with her parents from the few times they got brought up. Frankly he thought their reasons for resenting their own daughter was stupid but it’s not like saying that out loud would do much in terms of comforting Misty.

“I also had a fight with someone.” Misty interrupted his train of thought with another confession.

“Oh?” Ben eyebrows furrowed in surprise.

“It was the night after I confessed about the whole pregnancy thing.” Misty tone took on a more somber tone as she continue on. “It was with Natalie.”

“Really? Honestly thought it would have been Jackie with how she kinda outed you to the group. I haven’t seen you two talk since then.”

Misty shrugged. “I mean, I am still a bit upset by that but I know she had the best intentions in mind.”

“Why you and Natalie fight?”

“Umm.” Misty went silence as she tried to find the right words to say. She couldn’t just straight up tell Ben that Natalie was mad because she hadn’t told Natalie about getting knocked up by her. She wouldn’t reveal Natalie secret. Natalie trusted her to keep it secret and she wasn’t planning on breaking that trust anytime soon. “She just got a mad I didn’t tell her about the pregnancy sooner.”

Ben hummed in acknowledgment. The claim did raise suspicion in him though. It just didn’t sound very on brand for Natalie. Natalie and Misty weren’t even the close to his acknowledged except for going with each other to do chores from time to time but back in Wiskayok he barely even saw them talk. There was definitely more to the story when she was leading on.

“Is there a specific reason why she was mad?” Ben gently budged.

“Not to my knowledge.”

Misty wasn’t budging. Ben didn’t want to be too pushy and force Misty to go back into her shell. He just nodded. “I’m heading back to the cabin. Make sure to come back soon. I doubt any of us want another Van situation to happen back-to-back.”

Just as Ben was about to walk off Misty grabbed his wrist. “Wait.” She pleaded, her big brown eyes looking up at Ben.

“Oh, what’s up?” Ben asked, a bit perplexed at Misty sudden interjection.

“Promise you’ll be there for me.” Misty held onto Ben’s wrist tighter as the words sunk in. “Promise me if we don’t get recused by the time this baby due that you’ll be there for me during the birth.”

“Misty, I don’t—“

“Please, Coach. I-I’m scared and having you there would really help. Just you being there to hold my hand and wipe the sweat of my head would be enough. Please promise me.”

Ben lines formed into a tight line as he thought out Misty request. He was trying to be hopeful that recuse would come soon and that Misty wouldn’t have a damn baby out in the middle of a forest but as the days pass and no help came it seemed more and more likely. He didn’t know if he could be what Misty wanted him to be though. Though with how desperately Misty was pleading with him and looking like a sad puppy that just got kicked it was hard to say no.

He was the adult. He needed to act like it.

“Okay, I promise.”

Misty smiled appreciatively, picking herself up as she went by Ben’s side. “Let’s go?”

Ben nodded. “Let’s go.”

With Misty by his side Ben and Misty started to walk back to the cabin.

He would be ready when the time came. Hopefully.

Chapter Text

Natalie mind was completely clouded.

With what she could have done, what she shouldn’t have done, of Misty. It had been nearly a week since Misty had told the group about her pregnancy and they hadn’t spoken since Natalie little tantrum.

She could tell Misty was intentionally avoiding her. She couldn’t blame her. It wasn’t like Natalie was trying to reach out either and after the way she acted to the news she would want to distance herself from her too.

She needed to do better.

Natalie had her nose buried deep in a health textbook so borrowed from Akilah. Reading quietly in her mind as others were still in the cabin with her just relaxing and minding their own busy. Jackie and Shauna talking, Laura reading her pocket Bible, Lottie picking at her nails in the corner, Mari and Akilah gossiping. All very exciting such, clearly. Natalie read the parts about women’s anatomy and pregnancy. She knew how strenuous pregnancy could be on a woman’s body and wanted to be prepared for any challenges Misty may face during her pregnancy with Natalie offspring.

It felt so weird to think. Natalie knocked Misty up. She was going to be a mom or technically dad? She didn’t know and honestly didn’t care enough right now which labels to use. All she knew she that if she was going to get Misty’s forgiveness she needed to actually take this seriously.

Natalie closed the book and put it to her side. Putting her knees up to her chest as she thought over the past few days. How hadn’t she noticed? With the truth out it feels so obvious. How Misty hadn’t be letting her touch her, the layers of thick clothing Misty had been wearing, why her and Jackie had gotten so close. Ugh, was she really that oblivious?

Natalie looked at her side where her blanket rested. A gray blanket with some red, white and a greenish-teal stripes. She ran her hand across the fuzziness of the blanket feeling just how soft the material was. The baby would need a blanket. A very cozy and comfy blanket for the winter and maybe a pillow. Something her baby could cuddle up to for warmth.

Natalie stood up as she went over to Misty luggage tucked tightly into a corner of the cabin. She found exactly what she needed in it, string, a needle, scissors, a mark and some glue. Misty was very crafty after all.

“Hey, what you doing?” Jackie asked as she noticed Natalie snooping through Misty’s stuff. Her eyes narrowing as she waited for Natalie answer.

“Calm down, I’m not snooping. I just needed some stuff. I wanna make something for the baby.” Natalie huffed as she looked over at Jackie.

Jackie eyes soften. “Oh, what you making?”

“A blanket and maybe a small plushie. Winter coming soon and I got nothing else to do.” Natalie shrugged as she sat back down. Grabbing her blanket as she plopped back down onto the floor.

She hesitated before cutting into her blanket. Moving her scissors up and down to see what measure would be better. Babies were small but grew fast, and that didn’t even take into the account to how much the baby would even weight. Maybe a healthy five pounds or maybe their kid would be a bit of the chubbier side at birth.

“I find that cutting it around thirty by thirty inches is a good.” Laura spoke up, now looking at Natalie instead of her small Bible. “When people at my Church have babies that was usually the size I see on the tags.”

Thirty by thirty inches. Sounds like a bit much to Natalie but yet again she never really been around babies before so she wouldn’t know. The soft sound of her cutting into the soft fabric of her blanket filled the room.

Snip, snip, snip.

Done.

Natalie looked down at her work. Nothing special. Just a smaller version of her own blanket. It took a decent chunk out of her warmth but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Natalie cut up another decent size of her blanket to make a plush. Folding it in half in on itself and trying to stitch the two parts together. Poking two holes close to each other, putting in string and tying a knot to keep it together and other parts she just glued together. Finally she got some stuffing out of her own pillow and put it inside before fully closing it together and drawing a small smiley face on the front. It was certainly. . . Something. But she tried her best.

“You trying to give the baby nightmares with that thing?” Mari snickered.

“I tried my best.” Natalie replied, looking down at her small monstrosity.

“You made these?” Misty asked, holding up the small baby blanket in one hand and the small smiley plushie in the other.

“Yeah, sorry it kinda looks like shit. I was just kinda winging it and hoping it would look good.” Natalie shrugged as she sat stood near the ladder leading down into the main room of the cabin.

It had taken Natalie doing a few laps around the cabin and contemplating the pass few months of her life to even come up and talk to Misty. With everything she said and did she wouldn’t be surprised if Misty didn’t want to talk to her.

“I like it.” Misty looked over at Natalie, a small smile on her face. “It’s ugly but in a cute way. . . Is this part of your blanket?”

“Umm, yeah. I cut it up a bit to make the blanket and plush.” Nat nodded.

“You shouldn’t have done that. You could have used my blanket. It’s my baby after all—“

Our baby.” Natalie interpreted.

Misty cheeks flushed with a tint of red from Natalie words. It sounds so possessive. Not her baby, not Natalie baby, their baby. Even if it was true how Natalie said it so confidently and without disgust or doubt made her feel some type of way.

“Well, I mean. I never really asked you to wear protection or anything so it kinda—“

“Misty, don’t.” Natalie interrupted Misty again. “I decided not to wear protection either. I have as much responsibility as you for letting this happen. Maybe even more.”

Natalie reached out to grab Misty’s hand, holding them tightly in hers as she looked up at Misty. “I sorry for I said about you and Jackie. For not hearing you out. But I wanna be with you, be apart of this life with created together. If you’ll let me, no pressure.

Natalie hands slightly shook as she looked right into Misty soul, waiting for her answer. Acceptance, rejection, something in between. Whatever it was she’ll take it the best she could.

On the other side Misty heart nearly jumped out of her chest. She hadn’t been expecting an apology or really anything at all. But with how sincere the apology felt she could help but melt.

“O-Of course! I mean, I wasn’t planning on keep them away from you either way and I understand why you were mad. I should have told you sooner and now have you find out with everyone else.” Misty chuckled. “Honestly the only reasons Jackie knew about it was that I had told Coach Scott and she overheard. That night they had gone looking me after I hadn’t came back from the lake with you earlier that day.”

“Thought as much. You and Jackie did talk a lot more after that day.” Natalie put a hand on Misty thigh making Misty shutter. Natalie quickly pulled away. “Sorry.”

“No. It’s okay. Just been a while since we. . . Y’know.” “Misty grabbed Natalie hand and guided it back to her thigh. “But if you wanna. . . I kinda been missing your touch.” Misty smiled, bitting her lip as she scooted closer to Natalie.

Fuck. Natalie was already hard just from that look Misty was giving her.

“Fuck, yes. Fuck.” Natalie huffed, instantly getting to work on getting Misty sweater off. Fucking god. . . Misty was gorgeous. New curves she hadn’t noticed or seen before and even her breasts seen a bit more fuller. Don’t even get her started on Misty’s bump, the small curve showing where her seed had been planted and was now growing new life.

“God. I feel like my cock about to explode.” Natalie reached down to take off her sweatpants, pulling them down to her knees as her hard cock protruded out of the little penis opening in her boxers. Her tip covered in pre-cum with every single vein on her cock visual with how hard she was. She was so hard it hurt.

Misty smiled as Natalie laid her gently on her back, the soft material of her pathetic excuse of a bed underneath her back. Usually back home Natalie would have pinned her down roughly and would have been pumping in and out of her without a second thought about letting Misty adjust to her huge size. Seems like the baby making her soft now. “Are you getting all soft on me now, Nat?” Misty teased. “Cause I’m pregnant with your baby?”

The words made Natalie moaned. “I guess so. I never. . . Fuck Misty you’re so sexy like this. All full and. . . Ugh. I need you so bad I feel like my balls may explode if I don’t.” Natalie worked on getting Misty’s pants down, seeing her cute little pink undies underneath, the waistline have some lace and a little bow in the middle. She could already see an obvious wet spot near her entrance.

Pulling them down a string of wetness connected Misty and her undies before Natalie ripped them off impatiently. “Hey! Those were my favorite ones. I don’t got many panties to spare, y’know?”

“I’ll let you borrow mine.” Natalie replied. That sure got Misty quiet and blushing.

Natalie sloppy mounted herself to Misty opening, covered in blonde curly hair that stuck together. Her thighs seemed thicker as well as they rubbed against each other. Fuck. Anything more and Natalie cock may actually fucking explode.

“Oh fuck!” Misty moaned out loudly as Natalie started to thrust her way into her. Putting her hands over her mouth as to keep her moaning and whining to a minimum. People were still down stairs.

Natalie was trying her best not to straight up ravage Misty. Misty was pregnant. She had to be gentle but god was it hard.

Misty wrapped her arms around Natalie shoulders and her legs around her waist. Letting Natalie plunge deep into her.

“Natalie! Oh fuck! Yes! Yes!” Misty screamed into Natalie shoulder, the pleasure completely clouding her mind and making her forget about even trying to be quiet. “Im going to cum! Cum with me Natalie. Fill me up. Please please please!”

Natalie let out a loud grunt as she cum in Misty, Misty did the same. Her walls tightly sucking and milking Natalie off all she worth while her own finished dripped down her thighs.

Both their bodies became limp, the only sound now being heavy breathing.

“Misty. . . Fuck.” Natalie groaned, slowly pulling herself out of Misty which made her whimper at the sudden emptiness. “Hey, it’s okay baby.” Natalie said softly as she kissed Misty’s forehead, the slight taste of salt on her lips from Misty sweat as pulled away.

“God. . . My glasses are all foggy.” Misty laughed, ridding the white layer of fog off her glasses.

Natalie pulled them off. “Hey. I need those to see” Misty whined.”

“We’re going to bed.” Natalie tone left no room to argue as she wrapped an arm around Misty waist, laying down next to her as Misty nuzzled into her neck cavity.

“I love you, Nat.”

“I love you too, Misty.”

Natalie heard Misty soft breathing as she almost nearly fell asleep. All the fucking must have took a lot out of her. It took a lot out of Natalie that’s for sure. Natalie kissed Misty forehead goodnight as she closed her eyes.

“I love you so fucking much.”

Chapter Text

Misty looked down at the little makeshift crib Natalie had made for the baby. It was her empty suitcase lined up with a blanket on the below to act as a mattress and the little blanket she made on top along with the deformed plushie she made.

“I tried my best.” Natalie mumbled.

“I love it. It’s very nice, Nat.” Misty smiled, looking down at the small makeshift crib. Sure it wasn’t the best but with the situation they were in it did what it needed to do.

“And I got you this, Misty. Hope you like it.” Laura handled over a small gift wrapped in a towel to Misty.

“Thank Laura.” Misty took the gift from Laura. Slowly unwrapping the towel to see what was inside. A teddy bear. A brown teddy bear with an missing right eye.

“Isn’t that like your plushie, Laura?” Lottie asked.

“His name Leonard and yes he was my plushie. But now I’m passing him down to Misty.”

Misty was a bit stunned as she looked down at this gift. She didn’t know Laura Lee that well but knew her enough to know this bear she had just gifted her meant a lot to Laura. She had with her nearly all the time, clearly loved it well as one of the bears black eyes were popped out and the fur was matted and no longer soft and now she was just giving it to Misty.

“Are you sure, Laura? I mean, thank you, really. But like. . . Are you sure you want me to have this?”

“Of course. I want you to have it. No baby should be born into this world with something to cuddle. I’m sure about this decision, Misty.” Laura said gleefully as she looked over at Misty.

“Wow, thanks Laura. Really. This means a lot to me.”

“You’re welcome.”

“Me and Akilah made you this.” Mari handed Misty a. . . Thing. She didn’t exactly know what it was. “It’s like one of those you put over babies cribs. The one that like play music and have stars spinning around.“

“A mobile.” Akilah replied.

“Yeah, that thing.”

Misty looked down at the makeshift mobile. It was made of a bunch of twigs, leaves, string and a pointed rod. It was definitely. . . Something.

“Thanks guys, I really appreciate it.” Misty tried her best to sound grateful. Putting the idea into the ”probably won’t use” pile.

She over at the pile of stuff the girls had gifted her. From blankets to clothing. It made her heart feel warm. Happy that they actually told time out their day to make something

“How far along do you think you are?” Jackie asked, head laying on Shauna shoulder.

“I dunno. Maybe six month?” Misty looked down at her stomach which was a bit more prominent as she grew quite a bit. The bump even obvious under thick clothing. “Maybe a bit more.”

“You know who the baby daddy is?” Mari suddenly asked.

“Mari!” Nearly everyone said while turning their heads to Mair disappointingly.

“What? I’m just asking.” Mari said defensively as she put her hand up. “It’s not like she has to answer.”

Misty shifted uncomfortably as she looked over at Natalie. Natalie looked over at her. A bit of uncertainty in her eyes.

“Just this dude I ummm, hooked up with. From a party.” Misty stumbled as she tried to remember the fake story she had told Jackie.

“It’s okay Misty you don’t have to tell us—“ Jackie was suddenly interrupted by Natalie.

“It’s mine.”

Oh.

She was really doing this.

“What?” Some of the girls mumbled as they looked over at Natalie.

“The baby is mine.” Natalie reached over to hold Misty hand. “Me and Misty are together.”

“But. . . How—?”

“I have a penis. I was a boy at birth and transition into a girl later on.” Natalie calmly explained while also squeezing Misty hand tighter. “So yeah. Me and Misty are together and if you have a problem with it you can get the fuck out or just keep your mouth shut.”

Nobody spoke. Just looking straight ahead at both Natalie and Misty.

Van looked over at Taissa. “Told you so.” Taissa sighed as she gave Van a playful slap on the wrist.

“Yeah, we kinda already knew. I mean, we knew you two were together or at least hooking up but not Natalie being the dad part.” Mari explained.

“What?” Both Misty and Natalie said at the same time. Both equally stunned.

“No offense but yall fuck pretty loudly—“

“Van.”

“It’s literally true.”

Most of the girls nodded in agreement.

Natalie and Misty both sat there stunned. Natalie cheeks turning slightly red in embarrassment as Misty looked down at the ground, not wanting to look at the girls.

“We all support you though, isn’t that right ladies.” Jackie interrupted, trying to loosen the awkward tense that had built up.

“Yep.”

“Of course.”

“Obviously.”

“So no need to be embarrassed you two.” Jackie said cheerfully. “Actually I say we should do something to celebrate. Have some fun while we’re out here. I mean we still have booze and Travis and Natalie can maybe go find us something to eat. Right guys?”

Travis nodded and so did Natalie. “Sure.”

“It can be like prom. Wilderness Prom. I mean most of us packed dresses for the afterparty we were going to have after nationals. We can wear those.”

All the girls agreed, already making up plans on what they would do during “Wilderness Prom.”

Misty and Natalie sat up in the attic at the dead of night. Discussing over baby plans with a notebook Shauna had gifted Misty.

“So I was thinking Mary if it’s a girl and maybe Paul if it’s a boy. What do you think, Nat?” Misty asked Natalie who was currently cuddled up at her side, letting Misty rest her head on her shoulder as she fed her rabbit meat.

“They’re nice. Mary and Paul.” Natalie listened loosely to the conversation. Just agreeing with whatever Misty said.

“What do you want it to be? Honestly I’m hoping for a girl. A baby girl would be so cute but honestly as long as she or he is healthy when I’m content.”

“Hmmm, a girl would be nice. But as long as they’re healthy I don’t really care.”

Misty wrote down in her notebook next to names “Paul for boy. Mary for girl. Natalie approved.”

“Last name?” Misty asked. “Honestly I’m fine if they have your last name. Quigley isn’t the most flattering.”

“And Scatorccio is? Whenever people try to say my last name I swear I see the gears turning in their head when they see my last name. You’re the one carrying it so they should get your last name. Mary Quigley or Paul Quigley.”

“But what about if we get married?”

“What about it?” Natalie questioned even if she was pretty sure where this conversation was going.

“Well I mean. . . Are you sure you wanna be Natalie Quigley in the future? Or have Quigley as your middle name?” Misty looked up at Natalie with those big dopey eyes of hers. A bit hesitant now that Natalie was quiet and just staring at her blankly. “O-Or we don’t gotta change our names at all of course. I can stay as Misty Quigley and you stay as Natalie Scatorccio. Or we don’t gotta be married either, marriage is a big commitment—“

“Will you marry me?” Natalie suddenly asked, interrupting Misty as she took Misty’s hand in hers.

“What?” Misty mumbled, eyes wide as she continued to look at Natalie. Completely in shock. “Really? You want me to. . ?”

“Completely serious.” Natalie whispered, laying her head on top of Misty’s. “I wanna marry you. Be the one for you.” Natalie took off one of the many ring she wore on her finger, a simple silver ring with a skull carved into it with fake diamond in its eyes. “Will you take my hand in marriage? Take me to be your wife and the mom of our kid?”

Misty was completely stunned. Not even a week ago she was worrying about Natalie forever hating her and now she was getting asked if she wanted to be marriage to her in barely the span of a week? It was. . . A lot.

“Umm. . . Wow.” Misty stuttered. “I. . . Don’t know what to say. . . Yes?”

Natalie confidence slightly diminished from Misty’s confused tone. “Umm, it okay do you don’t wanna.” Natalie sighed now feeling humiliated as she started to pull her hand away before Misty grabbed her wrist.

“No! I mean—yes! I wanna. . . I wanna marry you. I wanna be your wife.” Misty smiled breathily which made Natalie heart jump.

Misty grabbed the ring out of Natalie grasp and put it on her ring finger. “Ooo, a perfect fit. It looks gorgeous.”

“A perfect fit for a perfect girl.” Natalie smirked, her confidence spited up again as she leaned over to kiss Misty forehead.

“Oh shut it.” Misty laughed as she playfully slapped Natalie wrist. “You’re distracting me.” Misty looked back down in the notebook she was writing in ”Last name will be Quigley. Still up for discussion.”

There was other stuff written down as well. Like using towels and clothing for diapers, possibly making a better bed for the baby that wasn’t just blankets and Misty’s birth plan which was still completely empty.

“Have you decided who going to help deliver our baby?” Natalie looked over at Misty, seeing the obvious uncertainty in her eyes.

“Well. . .” Misty hesitated. “I was hoping maybe you could? I don’t really want anything one else seeing what going to be going on down there. Though if you don’t think you can I could ask someone else. No pressure. Birth is gross so it’s okay if you don’t wanna see all that going on.”

Natalie thoughts over Misty request. It’s not like it was completely unexpected. She was the baby daddy after all and she hadn’t read pages of pages of high school health textbooks for nothing. “Sure. I’ll try my best.”

Misty smiled in relief. It felt like Natalie could be the only one to do it. Help her give birth to their baby. It just felt right. Natalie was really the only one she felt comfortable enough to see her like that.

“Okay so you’re going to be my midwife, Coach already agreed to be support and the others. . . Can just be there I guess incase something goes wrong.”

“Sounds like a plan to me. Are you planning on going to that prom thingie the girls are doing tomorrow?” Natalie asked, wrapping an arm around Misty waist.

“Yeah, I think it’ll be fun. Though I’ll probably have to get extra sleep. This baby sure been keeping me on my feet.” Misty giggled as she leaned into Natalie touch. “Can you do that thing where you get behind me and hold up my stomach?”

“Of course.” Natalie instantly replied. Going behind Misty and gently cradling her growing bump. Putting a good amount of weight off Misty which made her sigh in relief.

“God that feels good.” Misty moaned, holding onto Natalie hands so she couldn’t pull away. “I love you, baby. I’m glad I can be your wife and have your baby.” Misty smiled before leaning up to give Natalie a kiss on the cheek.

“I love you too, baby.” Natalie said, nuzzling into Misty neck cavity.

“I love you so much it hurts.”

Chapter 8: Remake maybe?

Chapter Text

Sorry guys not a chapter lol😭

Honestly I been thinking about remaking this whole fic since I’m not really happy with most of the chapters and I rather do an episode by episode fic.

It still be the same with like Laura living and stuff but just longer and more detailed but idk. It been awhile since I watched Yellowjackets season 1 so I’ll probably rewatch it and write while doing so

I just feel like a lot of the ideas I had didn’t translate well

Tell me what yall think if you’ll like to see a remake or just continue this fic 🤷‍♀️🙂‍↕️

Any insight will be appreciated 🙏 promise if I do remake it I’ll try and release chapters as fast as possible
