Chapter 1: PROLOUGE
Chapter Text
Greetings, my fellow Steven Universe lovers ♡
May I start this off by saying a few things;
I didn't delete the original story, 'Magical Adveture Awaits' is on the next few pages, However; continuing on, this will contain more than just that story.
Things to keep in mind;
- The tags aren't always going to be right - though I will try my best, adding to much, I feel will overload any reader, so I'll keep it simple.
- There will be things in here that people will not enjoy. I say this in kind, please don't be put off by another story, if you see something else you don't enjoy...
- I'm not taking requests, although if you'd like to see more of a particular story I wouldn't mind adding a more fleshed out ground work ( this is for fun )
- What I draw might give you the ick. Fare warning -
- Im a kittens and gore kind of person
Hope you enjoy the ride.

Chapter Text
Mahashwaren?
And now she is done with the boring life of a high schooler, no more homework, no more class assignments!
Mahashwaren!
She will find her magical destiny, make new friends that are strange and out of this world...
Mahashwaren!
“Uh- yes?” Connie has burst from her bubble, returning to the plain and ordinary. Her scribbling and imagination gotten the better of her once again, she fixes her glasses, turns to her peers who where staring in a mixture of annoyance and misplaced amusement.
Shame covers her cheeks with a deep blush, she hides behind her big hair, letting it fall in front like a curtain.
“Have you returned to us now?” the teacher scoffs, going back to the blackboard, low giggles dance around the room.
Connie sighs, looking to the textbook that sits neatly on her table. It’s pages covered in deep red ink, drawings of a world that couldn’t be further from reality.
Who was she to think anyone would save her from this?
She closes said book, effectively shutting away her fantasy of a fairy tale she longs to be true.
Tucking her head in her arms.
All is deaf to her now.
That is, until screams erupt from her peer's. She shoots up, but just then something hard comes flying and knocks her table over, she watches her notebook fall between the gaps; she lunges for it.
“that has all my dreams in it!” she says, a hand outstretched. Scurrying for the book that only seems to move and skit away from her grasp, she kneels, but it’s kicked so she hurries passed, a chair slams in between her and it, all she can do is pray it doesn’t get ruined from all the feet stomping around.
The chair is moved to the side, she’s just inches from her possession when something hits her face and her glasses are knocked.
Her world is blurred, she can’t see her notebook, nor her glasses. That’s when a hand pulls her from the floor; “Connie! We have to get out of here!” a familiar voice screams, maybe it was Cassandra? Their relationship could be considered friendship, but that’s a stretch.
“No! I need my notebook!” Connie looks to the ground, everything is to muddled she can’t make out what’s there.
“who cares about the book! We’re gonna die if we stay here!”
“I’m gonna die if I don’t find my book!” Connie rips her arm away, she just makes out the confusion in their face.
“Ugh you’re so weird!” They groan, shoving passed her, “Don’t say I didn’t do anything for you!” they say, the voice fading as she runs away.
Chaos swarms the room; papers are flying, tables are broken, chairs are flung. Though Connie has no idea, all that matters is her notebook. All her dreams, wishes, and a life she hopes for is in that. Without it, she might as well be a slave to this boring world. One that doesn’t have magical destiny’s or cool rainbow monsters with hero’s protecting the peace.
She can’t have that! She won’t accept it!
Kicking a table that was blocking her way, Connie bends down and crawls the floor, picking up anything that resembles a rectangle, she scoffs when all she finds are pencil cases and debris.
Where is it?
At one point, the screams are muted, and no more furniture is being moved around, the noises were aggravating. So the quiet was nice, she could focus on finding her precious.
That’s when she feels her hand knock something thin and firm, she reaches for it, brings it close to her chest, feeling the crease, opening it to the first page where she put a special message only she could read even without her glasses- and- and-
“I found it!” she screams in joy, rising with a hop to her step. She twirls on the spot.
A gasp is heard in the distance.
“A human survived” an echoed voice says, which makes Connie stop and turn to where she thinks the noise is coming from.
Nothing is said, but she can hear the screech of something dragging along the ground. And while she couldn’t say for sure, this room looked a lot brighter. Did they open the curtains?
But that light was now blocked with a shadow, someone was coming closer... who?
“don’t!” another’s voice barks, that moment the figure stoped. Whatever was coming closer to Connie, wasn’t anymore.
“Hello?” she greats, still holding tightly onto her book.
Was this another daydream? Why wasn’t she being yelled at for getting out of her seat?
Footsteps are heard, someone came up just inches before her line of sight. She could make out a long cylinder, maybe an arm? Being waved back and forth. She knows this action, someone was seeing if she could, well, see.
“don’t worry” the person before her speaks, their voice shocks Connie, who’s perception of placement was being tipped on its head.
“she can’t see, your identity wasn’t thwarted” they scoff, whispering a short; “not like anyone cares”
Connie giggles at their backhandedness.
She feels this person, their heat slowly fading, she steps forward, reaches for an arm she thinks is their but catches something else. It’s texture hard but thin, a ribbon?
“wait!” she commands, “Don’t go!”
When she doesn’t feel the other move, she lets the ribbon fall. “can you.. help me?”
“find- find my glasses” she continues, hugging her book, a distant voice scowls, “what is this, glasses? Are they a weapon”
Connie tries really hard not to burst into laughter, composing herself with the best of her ability, “I can’t see without my glasses.. they’re like.. uh.. they help me”
“I can do you one better” the person before her says, “but first” they turn, “Jasper, if you want to keep your identity a secret I suggest you hide”
The distant person screams in annoyance “What’s the point of it if you’re just going to reveal my name, universe!”
They go back and forth names being revealed mean nothing to Connie, because they where so out there. Jasper? Universe? They’re so, unordinary, so, magical!
“why is that flesh bag smiling?”
“Leave, Jasper, before you get yourself stuck in another part of this building”
“whatever”
The booming sounds of footsteps are heard before a wind is pushed threw Connie’s hair. Whoever was blocking the sun, wasn’t anymore, and despite not being able to see, the blinding ray still makes her squint.
“sorry, this might be.. confronting” they say, confusing her. A hand is felt on her cheek, and now she’s being pulled forward.
Soft lips touch hers, she has half a brain to shove them off. Wiping away the saliva that entered her mouth, gaging at their unexpected action.
“did you just- kiss me!?” a deep blush is followed by an anger in her chest, how dare they! She was saving her lips for the man of her dreams to save her- not some random- some random...
“yeah, there wasn’t any other way I could do it without it being weird...”
Now she doesn’t know how, but those blobs of colour form into shapes, and now she can see a figure, a man- a boy standing before her.
Brown fluffy hair, pulled up in a small afro, his skin pale but red in nature... clothes that where, unnatural for a boy, ruffles and ribbons, a dress with a star in the centre of his chest, shades of pink all over, painting his clothes in a Rose garden.
And those eyes.. adorn his chubby face.. a deep magenta, circle irises replaced with white diamonds.
Connie screams, drops her book, the other flinches and backs up.
Her knees are jelly, she flops to the ground, looking up at the embodiment of her deepest fantasy’s.
“you’re perfect” she whispers, they just look concerned.
Stars are in her eyes, she stares at him, he doesn’t wait for her, he turns away, Connie leaps into action, “wait! You can’t go now!” she can see his arm, she grabs it pulling it to her chest.
“take me with you!” she pleads.
“what”
“I’ve always wanted this, someone to crash into my boring world and take me away on an adventure”
He tries to get his arm free, she doesn’t budge “that’s Stockholm”
“please! I don’t care! Give me the magical destiny I’ve dreamed for!” Connie begs while she sags her body onto his, gazing into his eyes like they could fill the entire galaxy.
He stares back into hers, not as pleased.
“L O O K!” he screams, thrashing his arm away, his strength outmatched her.
“I healed your sight, so can’t you see!?” he yells in anger, Connie doesn’t know why he’s so mad, what had she ever done? But wait for him, all she’s done is wait, wait, wait.
“look!” he points behind her, she follows his hand. Only now does she realise the state of the room.
Chairs and tables on their sides, the wall had been caved in, pieces of the roof where still falling. But that wasn’t what he was referring to....
“you’re lucky you where hiding behind those tables” the boy says, hands on his hips.
“hey- I wasn’t hiding!”
“It doesn’t matter!” he scolds. Sighing deeply, “now I have to fix this.. yet another problem caused by this stupid magic rock” he goes to lift a table, a body falling from its surface with a thump.
Reality check. Connie’s been hit over the head with the mortality of it all.
Peers lay scattered along the floor, their bodies painted in red, its colour smearing the walls. She watches as they slowly put each piece back to its original place. Lifting giant rocks with ease, she gawks at his muscles flexing.
But as he puts a chair down, he then picks a body up. One that’s familiar.. Cassandra. ...
He places her along the far side of the room, where more bodies pile up.
“Is it always this.. brutal?” she asks. They stay silent.
She steps forward, “so- you are a magical girl, right? The frilly dress, the pink”
He continues to fix what has been broken.
“because what I’ve studied on the genre, they fight foes with the goal of spreading peace across the word, their power sent from outer space by an animal companion!”
Dragging another body, the ground smearing with their blood. Connie trails on, a thumb to her chin.
“do you have an animal companion?”
No answer.
“Tell me it’s a cat, I love cats!”
No answer.
“Wait’ wait, no that’s to generic... a big cat!” She squeals, “yeah! Like a lion!”
She goes to open her book and pick up someone’s random pen off the ground, scribbling away at a blank page. “I bet you ride them into battle” she giggles.
Universe grunts, swerving around to face her, she almost bumps into him. But quickly stops before she could make contact.
They stare at her, eyes glowing a deep magenta, half of the diamond seen makes it appear as though two upside-down triangles... its very appealing.
“look” he pops the ‘k. Strutting towards her at a snails pace.
“I don’t know what kind of fantasy, you think I live in” he rolls his eyes, “But! I’m just trying to stop these idiots from disrupting the humans of this planet!”
Connie blinks; clutching her notebook to her chin. “planet? So you’ve been to out of space?”
He yells in frustration. Swiftly shoving passed her and walking to the open wall, the ledge just inches from his next footstep.
With a gasp, she rushes after him, just moments from his grasp when a gush of wind pushes her back; he leaps into the air, and out of sight.
“UNNNIVERSE!” She screams into the sky.
Slumping onto the dirty floor, she lets her book fall to her side.
Gazing at where his silhouette filled her very being.
It could have been minutes, or hours, she didn’t know. What pulled her from the daze was two tight hands on her shoulders, and two loud voices screaming in her face.
“CONNIE!” they said her name with so much concern, so much desperation.
She doesn’t even have a second to process before she’s being moved out of the room and down the hall, where medics and first responders stand out front.
The back of her parents car was the last thing she remembered before she was in her room, on her bed, dreaming about that boy.
“...universe” she whispers the name.
“my, Universe”
Notes:
Yeah.. that first summary was a misdirect. Connie's just delusional.
Chapter 3: Skits and sketches
Chapter Text
Character board
◇ Steven Universe ◇
☆ Connie Mahashwaren ☆
Connie
She is a loner, living deep in her fantasies about magical creatures and hero's who save the world.
She wants so badly for someone else to fix her problems, for some unearthly being to sweep her off her feet and take her away like a princess.
She is a normal teenage girl. No powers, no abilities. For all she knows those "dreams" are just that...
Steven
A boy who's been gifted the ability since birth; he is a true magical girl.
"Saving the world" is his base line, as well as fighting monsters, using magic, all that crazy stuff one see's in movie and books. It's just his life.
And as such; he has grown tired of it. There's so many beings out there that hated his mother, now he has to deal with her enemies. Leaving a legacy to great too bare for such a young boy.
When these two meet, its a match made in hell.
Because while one just tries to do what they've always done, the other forcibly places themselves into the situation.
Connie, with the clasic 'middle school syndrome' - just wanted to be apart of something more.
...And Steven doesn't know how to interact with a human who isn't running for their life after seeing a giant monster break threw their school window.
So they've both got problems.
Their interactions are... mediocre.
Connie begs to be a third wheel, pleading her case as "just a usless human who won't even be noticed if she's standing off to the side"... Steven, or well, his Magical Girl-name is Universe, straight up rejects her in every way he can.
She's just a human.
A being much weaker than he, and while he's also human, he at least has the training to defend himself without transforming!
She'll just get in the way. Or worse, kill herself in the process...
WEAPONS
- His mother's Sword
- A sheild
- Ball and chain
- Grenades /smoke, bomb
- Duel-welding pistols
- Bubble boxing gloves
POWERS
After transforming, Universe transcends space and time. He's able to do things unheard of, some could call it magic.
- Gravity shift / able to float
- His bodily fluids gain healing properties
- Voice command / is able to force his 'subjects' to do as he says.
- Overheat / is able to withstand higher temperatures than a normal human.
WEAKNESSES
Although he gains much more, there are also things he loses in the process.
- Emotional deficit
His powers, to his dismay, rely on his emotions. Which can be difficult when he has little to none to begin with... this leads to him relying more on his weapons than his actual powers.
- Outbursts
Regarding his emotions, if provoked, he can create more damage than fixing things. This has lead him to accidently looseing his targets as they run away in the destruction around him. And while the aftermath, he is in a vulnerable state of being, unable to see reality before him as he tries to calm himself down.
- The switch
He named it himself. This refers to the "being" he becomes as Universe. Cocky, strong willed, witty. These all surround who Universe is. A good Hero, a powerful foe.
Unlike little old Steven.
When Universe returns to his 'original form' its like he becomes someone... else.
A normal teenage boy, who thinks they don't have the power they hold. This has turned out to get people hurt. As when he should be transforming and fighting these villains, he's instead become a bystander. Screaming for a "hero" to come help, when he is that hero.
Connie saw this happen first hand. one time as Steven, he asks Connie to go fight some big monster, begging her as she was wearing what he assumed was "hero uniform"... really it was just cosplay Connie had worn in hopes of 'looking the part' next to a real Magical girl.
ART
》Outfit re-design 《
- The little fluffs are now roses
- I wanted to go either full clown or more fluffy
- Also, I changed his hair to pink so his ' human ' and ' magical girl ' personas are more differentiable.
- hair pin (bombs), I liked how it looks like a shooting star :3
- the other two are just me going crazy - I want to draw more but my sibling took my Ipad so, I'll be back with more cocepts!!! ♡♡♡
Not my bestie telling me to add "palm trees" and it adds so much - also they told me to draw him holding an upside down pineapple (THAT MF)
Chapter 4: Those are BOMBS!?
Summary:
Probably an episode or something

Chapter Text
Connie and Steven are fighting, Universe has gotten badly hurt, Connie is freaking out. The villain laughs, having thought they won.
“grab my star” Universe says threw coughs.
“what” Connie gaps by his side, having no idea how to help.
“my hair pin- grab them” He clutches his belly, feeling the hurt. She clenches her teeth, hesitation in her grip before she second guess herself she goes in.
“I- I okay?” she does as much, yanking it from his hair, though it was surprisingly easy. “now what?”
“throw it at her.” he says, rather casualy.
“Universe this is serious." She says bleakly, "we could die!”
“how uncharacteristic of you to say”
Connie's words are stuck in her throat, feeling the hypocrisy in her words she curses.
“dammit” she clicks her teeth, going to chuck the star at the villain.
It explodes on impact.
“WHATT" she screams.
"THEY'RE GRANADES!?”
Connie gaps, turning to Universe, who wore a smirk. “You had grenades in your HAIR THIS WHOLE TIME!?
“...yeah?”
“why didn’t you tell me!”
“you didn’t ask?”
“are you serious!” she breaths heavily, yanking the other star more forcefully.
“ow- wait!”
She throws it at the villain who had recovered from the last explosion, but instead of another blow, smoke is being propelled instead.
“...smoke?”
“That’s...” Universe grabs Connie, gets up and starts running, “Don’t inhale it!” they rush for cover.
“what does it do?” Connie asks,
“Sleeping gas, it’s sleeping gas”
“cool!” she has stars in her eyes.
When they are at a distance, they turn back to watch the smoke clear and that villain is on the ground.
“is she...”
“She’s fine” Universe says blankly, walking back to collect her body. Connie just kicks the ground where they lay.
“...what are you going to do with her?”
“turn her into the cops?” Universe jokes, but laughs off the awkward silence. “no, no, she’s coming back with me”
He starts walking away, “You aren’t coming” He stops when he heard Connie’s footsteps.
“aww why not?”
“because! You’re the one that got us in this mess!”
“..I don’t know what you mean..” Connie looks away, sweating profusely.
“goodbye” Universe turns.
“wait!- i- I can help!” She quickly rushes to the body, but just then Universe lifts her with one arm. Mahashwaren stares up at his form of strength, whispering a short.. “so.. cool”
He rolls his eyes.
Starts walking away.
She follows.
So, he jumps and flys away. Leaving her to stare at the ruffles swaying in the wind.
“no fare..” she pouts. Crossing her arms.
"That's not very gentlemanly of him... leaving a girl out here alone"
She probably walks home. It's become a habit.
Notes:
I'm not continuing this, I haven't got that time. Probably will put more art tho- sometimes I'd rather draw. *shrugs? U'no?
