The Season of Nightingales [PODFIC]

A nice and accurate prophecy of the season following the parting ways of an angel and his demon—if such an Ineffable Plan were written by a benevolent God….

In this tale, the Second Coming looms large. As the effort to thwart Heaven’s wiles is complicated by unexpected friends, an ex-Inspector Constable, a guileful Metatron, and a Heavenly floor full of the Blessed Dead—Aziraphale and Crowley find that navigating their relationship is not mutually exclusive from saving the world from Armageddon.

There is an outcome where the Nightingales sing in Berkeley Square. The angels just need each other—and maybe a little help—to find it.

Two years ago today, I hit *publish* on chapter 1 of the written fic. It was always meant to be a pod, (dear lort I’ll never wait to pod a 177k longfic until finishing it again). And now, after a fair bit of change, blood, sweat and tears, it’s finally done.

Yay! 🥳 As I've recently finished reading this story (would've left another comment and will but got clogged down by kid's birthday, school issues, Easter looming and other real life issues) and already knew you were planning on podficcing it I've been eagerly awaiting this release!
The story itself is so sweet and alive and just draws you in - making you (*mumbles while coughing* me) read way past any feasible bedtime. And like I've said many times before and don't get tired of saying, I adore your podfics! I'm so happy I get to enjoy the story like this again now. Once again, wonderfully done on the voices and all the little sound effects just add to the ambience of it and make it come alive. Looking forward to the next 35 chapters! 🥰💜

OMG NOS!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAA I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! The sounds came is INCREDIBLE. I love the sounds of rain and everything... and the voice acting omg. I had to do a double take because I thought that WAS Muriel. the voice is so incredibly perfect. And Crowley screaming FUCK???? I GOT CHILLS. That was amazing.
gosh the Archangel power manifesting as a collar and cuffs is so good. it filled me with such a sensation of... not dread, but something like it. Aziraphale then changing it to look like snake scales was so powerful 😭
Also I love the idea that they make uo right after. It warmed my heart 💛
I haven't read your fic before, so I'm extra excited to listen to it. This first chapter was so good, I can already tell it's going to be one of my favorites podfics 💛💛💛 thank you so much nos!!

  After S2 I really needed them to get back together. This plot came together on its own in the days following my watching of the final 15, so it sort of organically followed that they’d make up immediately and that they’d figure out everything after!

Started listening to this while walking my dog this evening and when I got to the final line I literally just halted in the middle of the sidewalk and stared off at the deepening sky behind the buildings while blinking away a few tears. Jeeezus. I never really considered the final fifteen being addressed so (relatively) quickly after Aziraphale left with the Metatron, but I really dig how you've written this so far. Also the production design is fucking fantastic?? The accents, the background sounds, the music... honestly stunned and can't wait to listen to more ❤️

I watched the series over the course of the last two weeks, and ouch, my heart at the ending of the 2nd season... so I am SO GLAD that people like you exist, have these wonderful ideas and the kindness to share them, to soothe my soul with this beauty of a story and of an audio experience!!! Your writing in this is so fun and really does a good job matching the style of the book/God's narration in the show. Particularly the line, "it made the angel's tummy turn. Or it was possible the angel was just hungry. The faces were likely similar," sounded like it could be something straight out of it!

Just what I needed to relax after a busy and loud day (extra kid due to a sleep-over, chaos and the noise level of 35 kids 😄): Tea, chocolate, a large glass of wine and another chapter of this beautiful thing all podficced and ready to listen to. 🥰💜 Thank you for adding to the relaxing part of my day.
Especially with fics containing so many different characters, often even a large number of them all together in one scene like here, one can really tell just how good you are at doing all the voices. Everyone has their own voice, fitted to them and distinguishable from the others. Really looking forward to Anathema and Agnes, but that's a way of yet. ☺️

"All I wanted was a dance." -> YEP NOW I AM CRYING. HONESTLY. I decided to listen to this while working and aaaaa the feels caught me unguarded. Nos, you put SO MUCH EMOTION in their voices, and when the song started playing i was ready to sob. and really the way Aziraphale talks about himself... please I need to hug him 😭😭
