Chapter Text

The hot Californian sun was hidden by the greyish clouds as Sean, his brother and their friends walked around in Disney. They had only been there for a few hours, they decided to head where some of the most popular attractions were, the view was amazing, being in the park for the first time in their life felt like a dream. They could see the huge Mickey ferris wheel, the indestructible ride, the different shops and the big blue lake reflecting the sun.

it was magical.

Sean was deep in his thoughts, he looked around and took care to analyse everything he could, maybe he could draw this later, he thought. He was simply happy to be here and finally decompress from all the stress of taking care of Daniel and the pressure of the work at the farm.

“Woaaww look at how big this ride is!!” Daniel said, with a big smile on his face while tucking Finn’s shirt and pointing the rides.

“Yeah little man! You wanna do this one? Maybe you’ll fall off because of how tiny you are!” Finn chuckled and grinnned, his dreads moving along his body. Daniel jumped as he let go of Finns shirt

“It’s not funny! I’m not that tiny!” Daniel’s voice pitched.

Finn grabbed Daniel’s shoulder and barely shook him “I’m just joking don’t worry about it!” Finn said as he smiled to reassure Daniel to prove him that he wasn’t serious. He loved teasing Daniel but in a nice way, he was like Daniel’s second big brother, a big brother who would actually spend time with him, have fun with him and teach him about things.

The others walked towards the bridge to the other side of the vast lake. Sean liked seeing Daniel have fun like the kid he had to grow up from but felt replaced and left out when he saw him and Finn hanging out together. He felt bad about feeling this way but he was still glad that Finn was including Daniel with the rest of them and make him feel like the kid he’s supposed to be.

As the two boys talked, Hannah was eating a huge disney lollipop while walking along Cassidy. Penny was chatting with Jacob about the safety of the rides while he was taking pictures with his camera. Beside them, Ingrid and Anders were holding hands. Sean looked at them and realised that he had forgotten about Jenn and everything surrounding his “love life”.

Ever since he left, he was so preoccupied with protecting Daniel that he had forgotten about all of this. The talk he had a few days ago around the fire with Cassidy, Finn and Hannah back at the camp made him question a few things. They were all very open about “love” especially Finn who said he didn’t care about someone’s gender which Sean thought was really cool but still surprising in a way.

He liked Finn a lot, he saw Finn as an inspiration, he was cool and chill and handsome and- he made Sean feel special when he was around him for a reason Sean wasn’t aware of. He wondered how Finn would act around people he liked, in a romantic way. Was he different when he was with girls? Or guys? But why was he thinking about that? He’s just a friend and Sean was straight ! Or maybe..? He was very unsure about all of this and every time these questions would come up, he would always shuffle them away.

Seans eyes drifted to Finn who was talking with Daniel and felt a strange tingling feeling in his stomach. Sean pushed these weird thoughts away, again, as Jacob got closer.

“I would’ve loved being here with my sister” Jacob came over to Sean, talking with a calm and soft voice

“oh yeah-“ Sean came back to reality “I understand, I hope you’ll be able to see her soon” Sean looked at Jacob and smiled, he felt kind of guilty about having the chance to be with his brother and his friend not having that same chance but he knew that he couldn’t do anything about it ,his stomach twisted slightly as his empathy grew. He had always been very empathetic towards anyone, he hated being like this. He felt vulnerable all the time like a sponge filled with other’s negativity and sadness.

“don’t worry about it Sean I’ll send her a letter about our day here” Jacob continued, it made a part of Sean’s guilt go away.

“im sure she’ll be happy to hear about it”Sean replied as the group got closer to the Toy Story Midway Mania attraction

“Doesn’t mean I’m not happy to be here…I just think it’s cool that we have the chance to have fun like that-” Jacob added and smiled akwardly like he always does.

“I wanna do this !!!!” Daniel’s voice cutted out everyone else’s as he jumped around and sped up the pace until he started running to the entrance of the building “I love shooting games! You’ll see how good I am at this!!”

“We will enano” Sean followed him with the others, still happy about seeing Daniel so excited after everything they had been through.

It was a busy day at Disney, like any other day since it was very famous, especially in America. They entered the queue and waited for around 30 minutes. Luckily there was fresh air at the entrance in contrast to the hot californian weather outside. They waited and moved a few inches every five minutes, which felt endlesss. Daniel kept on complaining while Ingrid and Cassidy occupied him with a game they had downloaded. It was a game on Ingrid’s phone in which someone would put it up their forehead and try to guess what the word on it was while the others would help that person guess it.

“Let’s play this game I downloaded for the occasion! It’s a word guessing game!” Ingrid said as she pulled out her phone from her pocket

“Yes I heard about it! Can I go first?” Cassidy said with enthusiasm

“Yeah sure! Who wants to play?” Ingrid looked around the group, everyone raised their hand or said “me!” out loud.
Hannah frowned her eyebrows as she declined, too preoccupied with calming Penny down and reassuring him

At the moment they started the game, they all got deep in the game

“It an animal!” Anders said with enthusiasm

“It’s orange and has black on its fur!” Daniel added,the game brought them some kind of collective competitive feeling

“As sly as a..” Finn said, waiting for Cassidy to finish the expression with anticipation

“A fox!!” Cassidy guessed and turned the phone up as she got it right. “My English teacher used to always teach us these expressions!”

After a few rounds of the forehead guess game, the group finally arrived to the end of the queue. This game had helped them occupy themselves during the long wait.

“It’s finally our turn!”Daniel said with relief and excitement as he sat beside Finn. Sean sat beside Cassidy, Hannah sat beside Penny, Ingrid beside Anders and Jacob was beside a stranger. They all put on their 3D glasses as they sat down, ready to start shooting, feeling the competition rising in the air.

The ride started, they all repeatedly pulled on the small ball that was linked to their guns. The vehicles moved around as each round went on. Cassidy’s leg got closer to Sean’s during the shooting game but Sean didn’t pay any attention to it as he was too focused on getting points.

At one point, Sean looked over at Finn, he heard him and Daniel laughing while they were pulling repeatedly on their guns. When they moved again, Finn looked towards Sean who was beside their vehicle as they went on the next round. Sean didn’t realised that he felt that tingling feeling again and his pulse getting faster. He looked away as Finn smiled at him.

The next round started, the final one, they continued pulling on the ball to shoot at the 3D screen to get as many points as they could until the very last seconds. Sean’s arm started to hurt, same thing for probably most of the people on the ride. After the final round, they all sighed as they could finally rest their arm.

The vehicles arrived to the end of the attraction, at the exit.

“That kid is too good man!” Finn said to Sean as he got out with Daniel

“really? How much did he get?” Sean looked at Finn as he answered with a intrigued voice

“Around a hundred and fifty thousand!!!” Daniel said excitedly, cutting Finn off who was about to answer

“My arm hurts!” Cassidy said as she also got out. “Let’s wait for the others and then we’ll go on another ride”

The others got out too, they all had a lot of fun but the one who got the best score was Finn, who felt very proud of himself but didn’t annoy everyone with the fact that he’s the one who was“the best”. He is good at everything Sean thought, he would always get a feeling of inspiration when he thought of Finn.

“So, how many points did you get sweetie?” Finn puts an arm around Sean as they walk out of the building. Seans body jumped in surprise, his heart stopped and he awkwardly smiled and as he again, felt that feeling in his stomach. It would always happen around Finn for some reason. Sean felt close to Finn, physically, feeling the warmth of Finns body around him and his scent of weed and nature.
He looked at Finns features, his triangle tattoos around his left eye, the tattoo under his mouth to his chin, Sean’s eyes sliding around Finns face as it moved towards his lips… his- pink lips that drew a wide smile on Finns face that Sean couldn’t get his eyes away from

“Sean?” Sean blinked twice, realising how long he had been looking intensively at his friend. His eyes left Finn’s lips as he got reminded to answer the question.

“Ah! I- uh- I got not many.. a hundred and ten thousand… my arm got tired at the end” Sean scoffed, he felt embarrassed and questioned himself about why he was looking at Finn like that... was it too noticeable? Did Finn think of Sean as a weirdo? Why would he even look at Finn this way? He never did this with anyone else before.. apart from- Jenn. Back at Seattle.

“It’s not bad, pup’! It’s a pretty good score, don’t worry about it” Finn and Sean continued on walking, his arm was still around Sean as he also grabbed his shoulder to hold him close which made Sean’s heart race. They joined the others who were further away at the exit.

“Let’s go guys!! We have to do as many things as we can!” Ingrid said with excitement, glued to her boyfriend, Anders.

“guys it’s not safe!! They mess up with the rides, Im telling you!!“ penny said with his classic paranoia

“Penny, it’s Disneyland, it’s extremely safe, safer than planes.” Hannah replied, always the one to get penny back to earth.

Cassidy looked at Finn and Sean closely and didn’t say anything until she said “Sean was really good at the game! Where did you get good like that?” She got closer to Sean who was still glued to Finn until he got his arm off. When he did, Sean felt a strange sensation of disappointment and dissatisfaction wondering why he took his arm off, leaving him with a feeling of emptiness as if he wanted it to have lasted longer.

“Noo I’m not that good, it was fun tho!” Sean said, still distracted by Finn. He apparently wasn’t giving enough attention to Cassidy who grabbed Sean’s arm and got as close as Finn did but it didn’t feel as nice as with Finn

“Yeah it was! What should we do next?” She said with a smile

“The indestructible ride!! Right Daniel?” Finn said with provocation and a smile as he grabbed both of Daniel’s shoulders from behind to scare him.

Daniel jumped as he said, unsure of himself “uhh… y-yeah let’s go..! I’m not scared!! Definitely!”

“Sure little man! Hope you won’t fly off!!” Finn chuckled, gave Daniel a tap on the shoulder as the group walked towards the huge ride.

Chapter Text

They stopped by the shop at the end of the Toy Story Midway Mania

“Wait- before we go can I buy a magnet?” Jacob asked “for my sister.. she loves Disney”

“Sure, man” Finn said while the others waited for them outside. Sean stayed with them as he looked around the shop

“Do you wanna buy anything sweetie?” Finn turned over at Sean who was looking at the colorful Disney merchandise while Jacob was at the caisier

“Oh- no I’m good” Sean chuckled.

“Sure honey? I can buy you something if you want hehe” Finn’s little giggle made Sean’s heart skip a beat

Sean didn’t know what to say, he didn’t need anything but he was happy about Finn wanting to be generous like that with him.

A small silence that felt like forever suddenly appeared

“Who do you want to sit with on the ride?” Finn asked, breaking that silence as he was fidgeting with a keychain on one of the displays as if he was nervous

“I don’t know.. I don’t care to be honest..” Sean said, unbothered by who he will sit with

“Don’t you want to sit beside Daniel? He won’t admit it but he’s scared to death!” Finn scoffed

“I think it’s better if you sit with him, he likes hanging out with you” Sean replied not wanting Daniel to later argue about who sits with who, Sean knew Daniel well, he was his big brother after all

Finn opened his mouth as if he was about to answer but got cut off by Jacob’s footsteps that got closer

“Okay let’s go!” Jacob came over with his little bag, a smile on his face

Sean and Finn exchanged a look for a second until they turned around and followed Jacob with the rest of the group.

“Penny, you have to do it! we don’t come here everyday!” Anders said to Penny, hoping he’ll get around the idea of getting on the ride

“What if it become some kind of Final Destination shit?? No way man!” Penny replied, crossing his arms

“We don’t want to force you but we don’t come here everyday y’know, just trust us I’m sure we’ll have a great time!” Ingrid said as penny thought of it for a second

“All right..” Penny gave up and joined them in the long waiting line

The wait was endless but it was definitely worth it in the end

Daniel seemed deep in his thoughts as the others played the guessing game once again to pass the time

“You okay Daniel?” Sean asked softly, resting his hand on his little brothers shoulder

“Y-yeah I’m just a bit scared Sean.. this looks very high from down here..” Daniel looked up at the ride while people were screaming from up there

“Don’t worry it’s very safe, I’m sure that after doing it you’ll want to do it again!” Sean reassured Daniel “do you want to sit beside Finn?”

“Can I sit with you? Hope it doesn’t bother Finn..” Daniel replied as he raised his head towards Sean

“Your hermano’s right Daniel! I’m sure you’ll have fun” Finn grinned “And no worries ! You can beside him” he came up to them and rested his elbow on Sean’s shoulder which made him shiver

“Yeah.. you’re probably right” Daniel said, still trying to assemble his courage to do it

As they finally arrived in front of the roller coaster, they all sat down together. Sean helped Daniel sit down and tucking his backpack between his legs to secure it

“You ready enano?” Sean asked, looking at his brother

“No” Daniel looked back, Sean held Daniel’s hand to reassure him as the voice coming out of the speaker got louder.

“3-2-1- GO!” In seconds, the ride sped up as fast as it could in a straight line until the roller coaster rised upward until it reached a point of the ride that went all the way down

As the ride went on, there were moments of going down, going up, going left or right, the ride was going in every possible way.
They finally arrived at the famous looping, the vehicle got faster as it moved and got upside down. Sean felt the pressure of gravity for an instant as they were upside down, his hair floating in the air.
A few moments later, at the end of the ride, the vehicle suddenly stopped which made Sean’s head go forward abruptly as he let out a sigh of pain

“Ouch! I didn’t like that haha!” Sean looked over at Daniel, still holding his hand “you okay Daniel?” His brother wasn’t answering, he seemed deep in his thoughts “Daniel?” his little brother quickly turned his head towards Sean

“IT WAS SO COOL!!! I WANNA DO IT AGAIN!!!!” Daniel moved around, not staying in place as Sean smiled

“We told you you’d like it!” Sean chuckled, he was glad Daniel had fun

They all got out of the roller coaster, Penny was dizzy, same for Jacob who said he wasn’t a fan of these kinds of attractions but still made an effort to do it with the group

“It was soooo cool!!” Cassidy said with a smile on her face to reveal the small hole between her two front teeth

“Yes!!!! Can we do it again???” Daniel said with excitement. Finn smiled, he knew Daniel would say that

“Let’s do something else first, we’ll do it again later” Hannah said

“OR we can separate in two groups and do what we want!” Ingrid added “a group can do it again right now and another group goes to another one”

The all started discussing about which group they’ll go with

“Okay so Me, Anders, Daniel and Cassidy want to do the Indestructible ride again” Ingrid said, the group of friend agreed

“Me, Hannah and Penny we’ll go take a break, maybe take pictures with the characters around the park or go buy some things” Jacob continued and turned around Finn and Sean who were standing beside each other having a simple look on their faces

“What do you guys want to do?” Hannah said, the whole group looking at them, waiting for their answer

“Uuuhhh I don’t know?” Sean said looking at Finn, slightly unsure of what to do, he just wanted to be with Finn

Finn stayed silent for a minute until he abruptly said

“Me and Sean will go on the ferris wheel and we’ll join you guys later!” Finn suddenly grabbed Sean from behind as he headed him towards the exit, the whole group watching them leave, all confused.

“Uhh okay..!” Hannah said, raising her eyebrows, not wanting to know any more

“They are missing out!” Daniel said, sure of himself

They all went separate ways, one group going back on the roller coaster, another enjoying the park and the two others, went on the big Mickey ferris wheel.

Chapter Text

Finn and Sean both sat down, facing each other in one of the colourful cabins of the Mickey Ferris Wheel. There was a loud silence, they both looked around and exchanged sudden eye contact until the huge attraction started to move slowly

“Why did you bring me here? Didn’t you want to stay with the others?” Sean asked, sitting straight, both of his legs touching and his hands resting on both of his sides, he didn’t realise how nervous he looked at that moment

Sean actually felt nervous, being here, alone, with Finn McNamara, stuck in a small cabin, a few meters away from the ground, unable to leave

The tension got heavier for Sean compared to who Finn seemed relaxed and calm

After another long and loud silence, Finn spoke again

“We’re having fun don’t we?” Finn said, looking at the Disneyland park outside, not looking back at Sean once. He had his legs opened, his arms crossed and his head fell slightly backwards, completely different from Sean who was all tense.

“Um.. yeah, feels nice being here with everyone..” Sean replied, slightly confused as why Finn didn’t answer his first question

“How about you? How are you feeling? And don’t mention the others, just you” Finn said as he turned his head towards Sean, still looking everywhere else but him

“I’m- having a great time here. I’m glad my first time coming to Disney is with you and our friends” Sean couldn’t make a sentence without talking about other people, never thinking of himself first.

The ferris wheel moved again, the cabin tilted on the side slightly, the two didn’t realise how close the cabin was from sliding all the way down the rails because of the tension building up between them

Finn sighed “Sorry for bringing you here like that, I really wanted to do that Ferris Wheel but I didn’t feel like doing it alone heh..” Finn moved and rested his elbow on his thighs looking down

“Oh- but why didn’t you ask them?” Sean wouldn’t admit it but he was slightly disappointed as he thought Finn wanted to spend some alone time just with Sean, by themselves. He was a bit too delusional, he thought

“I-“ Finn stoped mid sentence as if he wanted to say something that he didn’t say earlier

After cutting himself off, Finn continued “Okay I didn’t tell you the truth entirely I just wanted to ask y-“

As the ferris wheel moved again, the cabin suddenly slid all the way down and balanced itself forcefully from left to right

Finn wasn’t holding onto the bars around him. He abruptly fell, his body balancing itself towards Sean because of the force of the cabin.

In an instant, Finn found himself all over Sean, he could feel the warmth of Sean’s body but as the cabin balanced itself backwards, Finn fell again, on the cabin’s cold metallic floor, at Sean’s feet.

“Argh! Fuck!” Finn had bumped his head on one of the walls, he rubbed his head and frowned his eyebrows

“Hahaha!” Sean chuckled, the atmosphere got less heavy as a smile appeared on Sean’s face “you okay?”

“Yeah- sorry heh” Finns face light up as he saw Sean smile which made him blush but it was barely noticeable. He sat back down “I didn’t realise that it was boutta’ move!”

“It’s fine don’t worry! At least you’re okay” Sean said also blushing when he thought about Finns body against his, it had to be something made up by Sean’s delusional brain, he couldn’t believe it

They both looked down, smiling like some kind of young romantic teenagers in an American movie for kids from the 2010s

“So uh.. what were you about to say?” Sean said, looking slowly at Finn

“No its- not very important but yeah- I just- wanted to talk with you about something that’s been on my mind lately” Finn said, sounding more serious that a few seconds ago

Sean listened respectfully

“I know what I’m about to say is stupid but since you and Daniel will leave soon I wanted to ask you about something..” Finn stopped but continued on “I’ve seen the way you look at Cassidy and how she looks back at you, I just wanted to ask if you and her…” Finn didn’t finish his sentence, he just hoped Sean would understand what he meant

The ferris wheel moved again, balancing them once more but not as much as earlier

“I-if I’m crushing on her?? I mean- yeah I like her, she’s cool and all but it’s not like that- I think so…” Sean said nervously

“You think so?” Finn said. Sean was unable to read Finn’s mind

“I mean- she’s really nice.. and funny.. and pretty but- ever since I left Seattle I haven’t thought much about my feelings..” Sean was so unsure of himself, did he actually like Cassidy as more than a friend? Same for Finn? Did he actually like him that way? Or he was just blinded by trying to get a feeling he last felt back then?

“So you do like her” Finn stated, his voice sounding different as he looked outside again. He still had the same position as he first did when the attraction started moving, legs opened, looking away, but this time, he had his right hand hiding his mouth

“Maybe!! I’m not even sure of it but- does she even like me that way?” Sean looked at Finn with confusion still trying to figure out why he wanted to know so much about his feelings towards Cassidy

“Definitely, have you seen the way she looks at you and grabs your harm all the time? It’s obvious” Finn’s voice sounded shaky

“Now that i think about it.. she is pretty physical with me but that’s probably the way she is” Sean tried to tell himself that Cassidy didn’t like him that way because he wasn’t even sure if he liked her back

After what seemed like forever, the cabin arrived back down again

Finn got up quickly as if he was avoiding something, he looked down and had his hands in his pockets “We should join the others”

They didnt talk until Finn sent a few texts in the friend chat group on WhatsApp to meet Jacob, Hannah and Penny. They were sitting at a bench near the attraction called Goofy’s Sky School

“Hey guys!” Sean said, putting his backpack down and sitting at their bench

“Hi Sean, how was the Ferris Wheel?” Jacob calmly asked, like always

“Good! the view was amazing” Sean lied, knowing damn well that the only thing he looked at was Finn and not the view outside.

While Jacob and Penny talked to Sean about the characters they took pictures with and some things they bought in a shop near while him and Finn were in the Ferris Wheel, Hannah and Finn weren’t there anymore, they had probably left a few minutes ago now

“We also met Goofy, there were so many people around h-“ Penny said until he got cut by Sean

“Uh sorry to cut you but- do you know where the restrooms are?” Sean looked around

“Oh yeah sure they’re over there” Penny said, pointing towards his left, there were both Women and Men restrooms all the way down the path

Sean got up and walked towards the toilets, as he did so, he heard a Spanish music, he turned his head towards the melody while walking, it was a group of people dressed in cultural Mexicain outfits to represent Mariachis. In California and the rest of the west or southern part of the country, there were many people that were from the spanish-speaking countries located under the United States, Sean felt that it was really ironic from the US to do so many things related to these countries and these different cultures but still having their president putting up a huge wall to separate them.

He continued walking, he noticed that a small wall was hiding the restrooms, he walked towards it until in the corner of his eye he noticed Finn and Hannah. He quickly hid behind that wall and peaked silently at them, he didn’t want them to see him walk to the toilets in this situation, it was too akward

He heard them talking but it was so hard to understand anything because of the noise around him, babies crying, sounds of footsteps, screams of fun in the distance, people talking, he could simply see Hannah and Finn’s lips moving one after the other.

They were close, too close to Sean’s taste. He liked Hannah, she was nice and a pretty relaxed person but seeing her so close to Finn, it made a knot in Sean’s stomach like some kind of strong pressure

He blinked and looked over at them again, they were suddenly holding hands and Hannah’s hand was resting on Finn’s jaw. The world felt like it was now in slow motion, the noise around him becoming a loud ringing, he turned his feet around, walking back towards the bench where his friends were, he didn’t want to see any more of them, they didn’t kiss or anything but Sean was sure that they did afterwards the knot inside of feel grew suddenly stronger as if someone had just punched him in the stomach

He felt terrible but why? Why did he feel so bad when he saw Finn being so physical with someone else? He felt his eyes getting wetter and his vision more blurry, crying in public was so fuxking embarrassing but he couldn’t go back to the restroom and risk being seen by them

“Sean!” A familiar voice called him. He turned around and saw Cassidy “are you okay?”

Sean didn’t answer, a tear slid from his left eye by itself down his cheek

“No- not really” his voice was broken, every word he let out of his mouth made his stomach twist again

Cassidy hugged him and held him close

“Okay shhh calm down Sean, let’s go sit down somewhere okay?”

Sean nodded and they both sat down on a bench further away, where there were practically nobody

Chapter Text

“Sean, breathe okay? Tell me what’s wrong” Cassidy said, sitting beside Sean, tapping and rubbing his back carefully as if he was about to burst in pieces

People were walking by, some with friends, others with kids, minding their own business.

“I don’t know- I.. fuck, I don’t even know why I’m crying” Sean’s eyebrows frowned and he quickly whipped his tears away with his wrists in embarrassment. Cassidy’s gaze on him made his cheeks burn with shame, he hated crying in front of someone, crying made him feel like he was being exposed, as if he was bare skin, naked. “I just- saw Finn with Hannah and- I felt terrible that’s all.” Sean’s shaky voice was now back to normal, slightly irritated

“And uh.. What were they doing?” Cassidy asked holding Sean’s arm, not really knowing what to say, still holding him close to calm him even if she knew he didn’t want any kind of reassurance. He still needed it.

“They were… talking, about something that seemed serious, they were close and for some reason it made me feel-“ He said, getting up to forget about it and go back to his friends at the picnic table nearby

“Oh.. I see.” Cassidy got up too, with a stern face, she looked down

“What do you mean?” Sean turned around, his brows down, confusion on his face

“Do you like Hannah?” she rested her neck on the nearest wall behind her, letting his arm down

“I, wait, no! I don’t! It’s not that-”

“Hey you two” a familiar voice, walking towards them

“Hannah?” Sean hardly spoke, surprised of her abrupt appearance. His surprise made him unable to let any other sound come out of his mouth

“I was looking for you, the others want to go to another ride close to the Monster Inc ride over there, it’s Gardians of the Galaxy related. You guys wanna come? I heard it’s really cool” her switched eyes between Sean and Cassidy, waiting for their response

“Yeah sure let’s do it” Cassidy said, getting up from the wall she was resting on, the tone in her voice was still serious and Sean knew why but Hannah didn’t that any attention to it especially since she wasn’t aware about their previous conversation.

As they walked to join their friends, Sean felt akward and didn’t know what to say, no one was saying anything. Even if he could, his body would’ve stoped him from actually saying anything. He followed the girls, staying behind them, looking intensely at Hannah. Many questions were running around in his head about her, Finn and how their relationship was.

They walked around for a bit, crossing halfway through Disney to go to the so called “Gardians of the Galaxy Tower” who was actually called Gardians of the Galaxy - Mission Breakout and was located on the other end of the park.

The feelings in Sean’s stomach were so messy and intense, he had not realised that they were close to the entrance. He was trying to hide his confusion and frustration about earlier, telling himself it’s nothing and that he can’t ruin everyone else’s day because of his selfish behaviour

“Sean!” A voice called him, he lifted his head to see Daniel walking to him.

“Dude! I thought you fell in the toilets or sum!” Penny said, walking behind Daniel, the group of friends watching Sean, Cassidy and Hannah coming at the beginning of the waiting line

“Hey enano” Sean said, putting a hand on Daniel’s head, a fake grin appeared on his face hoping it would hide his red puffy eyes. He didn’t want anyone to ask about why he looked so miserable.
“And also, Penny, I didn’t. I was just with Cassidy before Hannah called us to come here” Sean chuckled.

Sean’s clumsy eyes drifted shyly to Finn as he answered Penny. Finn was back-turned, walking slowly in the waiting line. The smile on Sean’s lips unnoticeably dropped

“I looked up this ride on Instagram! It seems amazing!” Ingrid said, entering the queue too with the rest following her

They took the normal line even if the park was filled with tourists today, it’s always the case.

“Oh my gosh!! Look! Over there!!!” Daniel said, “it’s a raccoon!!” they were all amazed by the Rocket animatronic and how well made it was.

“It looks so cool!” Jacob said, thinking about how his sister Sarah would’ve loved it too, he really miss her

After around 40 minutes of walking in the dark and long waiting line, they arrived around the end

Sean walked with the group but suddenly bumped into one of his friends because they had to stop in the queue

Sean rubed his forehead with the back of his hand and lifted his head in confusion

“Are you okay?” It was a very familiar voice, Finns voice. He asked but it felt like it had a deeper meaning, as his he was actually asking how Sean actually was inside. His expression looked slightly worried which made Sean understand that he only asked about him bumping into Finn.

Sean felt his heart drop, he just wanted to avoid him but of course he had to bump into him like that, he blushed nervously.

As Sean was about to answer, a Disney worker who asked twice how many of them Sean and his friends were but Sean’s eyes and attention were too locked into Finn’s glaze that he didn’t even notice the worker. The worker separated Sean from the rest of the group and with of course, Finn McNamara.

“Uh- we just got separated!” Ingrid said from afar. She sent a text in the friend group.

“We’ll join you guys after the ride, have fun you two! ;)” Ingrid wrote with an obvious wink. Sean wondered what that meant

Finn seemed as nervous as Sean was but it was pretty unnoticeable, he always seemed non-chalant, that’s what Sean thought.

Another Disney worker was telling them at which number they had to go onto.

“You, go to number 6” the worker said, slightly pushing a stranger by the shoulder for them to move.

From afar, Sean looked over at his friend and saw Cassidy who looked back at him with a smile which meant “we’ll see eachother after the ride” Sean understood. It made him realise that him and Cassidy never finished their earlier conversation but was also kind of relieved that it didn’t go any further because he was embarrassed enough at that moment.

“You two, number 4 over there” The worker cut Sean’s thoughts, pointing at him and again, pushing him by the shoulder

His feet moved towards the assigned reflecting golden numbers on the ground. His head, looking down, tilted towards the number 4. He saw a pair of white and red sneakers with black laces that were undone, it was Finns pair of used shoes. He looked over at his friend

“It’s a shame we are not doing it with the others huh ?” The hippie asked, not daring calling Sean any sweet name anymore

“Yeah..” Sean didn’t want to talk to him, his stomach twisted everytime he heard his displeasing somewhat heavenly voice.

“Did I do something wrong? Is it the thing I asked you back there?” Finn asked nervously, he looked like a sad puppy

“No it’s not that, I just- I saw you back there with Hannah, close to the bathroom” The knot in Sean’s stomach felt like it just had finally gotten out of his mouth, he felt like throwing up but he told himself that he’s just being crazy. Finn is his friend, why didn’t he feel so bad seeing him and Hannah being close back there?

“Oh.” Finn replied

“Oh?” He continued, in confusion

“Ooooh! No no no it’s not like that! Hannah is kinda like my sis y’know? We’re definitely not a thing.”

The constant twisting in Sean’s stomach had finally stopped, shoulders shrugging at Finns words, making him relieved.

“O-oh! Really? You and Hannah.. are like siblings?” Sean’s bottom lip was falling slightly, he felt so relaxed

“Yeah..! Why tho? Was it bothering yo-“

Finn jumped as he got cut by the sudden security instructions screamed by a worker close to the elevator. After what seemed like forever, they entered number by number into the elevator. Sean was actually excited to continue his conversation with Finn

They sat down on the left side at the very back, Sean was beside the wall and Finn beside him

“So yeah as I was saying, was it bothering you?” Finns nervousness disappeared, he chuckled as a grin appeared on his face. He looked at Sean intensely

“I- I guess? I mean.. yeah, yeah it was.” Sean said even if he wasn’t sure about the reason why he felt this was back at the restroom.

The same worker talked about security again and that the tourists should check if their belt were secure

“Oh really?” A smile appeared on Finns face as warm as a soft blanket on a cold winter night “that’s cute”

The heartbeat in Sean’s chest could be slightly heard if the Disney worker wouldn’t be talking. He smiled nervously as his eyes got lost deep into Finn’s.

“You..you think so?” Sean said, the two boys were close, nothing around them mattered, the loud security instructions given by the personnel was now distant, the other giggling tourists around them were a blur, the only thing that was clear for them, was each others eyes.

While they were drowning in the waves of each other’s looks, they had not realized that the dirty and gray elevator doors had closed and the wheels under them were moving backwards. A shadow of Rocket, the raccoon from earlier, appeared on the doors, and an alarm started to ring and the lights turning red.

As Finn was about to answer, the elevator rose up and stopped again. The doors opened, and Finn looked back at Sean

“Phew… I wasn’t expecting that!”

Sean chuckled and added. “Me neither!” They both smiled as the doors closed again. The elevator moved up and down quickly, making them both hold tight on the bars next to their seats.

After a few up, down and stop, the elevator reached the top a second time, but this time, it was open. They could feel the warm sun reflecting their faces and see the beautiful and gorgeous view from above. But at the exact same moment, Finns eyes were admiring something else. What he thought was gorgeous wasn’t the view, but Sean.

Sean’s head tilted towards Finn and got even closer than they already were. What were a few seconds felt like forever; the flash of the camera in front of them wasn’t even present in their visions. Finns eyes glimpsed at Sean’s lips but when the other man was about to realize what was happening, the elevator dropped all the way down which made their hearts jump and their bodies stiff back to their original places. Sean’s right hand gripped onto Finn’s out of panic, which made the both of them blush. But of course, it was unnoticeable in the dark.

At the end of the ride, the elevator rolled back to the front doors, which opened a few seconds later. After the tourists got out of the metallic elevator, some saying goodbye respectfully and others not, the two teenagers walked out together, still not acknowledging what had happened back in there.

“Did you have fun, honey?” Finn asked, using again his sweet nicknames on his friend

“Yeah, yeah, a lot.” Sean smiled awkwardly; the only fun he had was the tension between him and Finn

“Y’know, I liked doing this one with just you, would’ve been different if we had done it with them.” Finn got closer to the exit with Sean beside him. They looked over at the pictures. They saw their friends doing cool poses and grimaces; they looked like they were having fun. Sean’s eyes drifted from picture to picture, searching theirs. Finn pointed one before he could’ve even found it

“Damn Sweetheart, look at us!”

Sean looked where Finn’s finger was pointing at and saw their picture. They were at the very back, all the way to the right. Sean turned red when he saw how close they were from each other and how near their faces were. Especially their lips. They weren’t even looking at the camera, which was making him even hotter and his sweater tighter around his neck.

“Oh…” Sean was completely out of words, his breath stopping. Finn putted a hand on his shoulder

“You look adorable on this. Maybe I should buy it” Finn’s mischievous grin appeared on his face again but stopped when he heard their loud group of friends in the hallway.

“Oh hey you two!! How was it?” Ingrid said with a wide smile

“Sean!! It was so cool! I loved it when the elevator was bouncing around with the music!” Daniel said, running to his big brother.

“Yeah I liked it too” Sean replied even if he had only been focused of Finn the during entire thing.

“What should we do next?” Cassidy asked

“There’s a Cars related ride on the other end of the park, maybe we can do it, I heard it really good” Anders added, walking with the group

Ingrid looked at their pictures while the others were leaving towards the exit

“You sure look like you had fun. I can see you two holding hands!” Ingrid’s malicious look was analysing them both. She left them to join the group leaving them alone.

The two teenagers blushed and chuckled at the akward situation.

“So uh… I guess we should join them?” Finn said, following Ingrid’s direction.
