Michael, KITT, and KARR anxiously anticipate the annual Easter egg hunt hosted on the estate grounds. The children of Foundation employees and the neighborhood would hunt for the delicious chocolate eggs throughout the gardens, and it's one of the rare days that KITT and KARR allowed children unrestricted access to their cabins (no sticky fingers, please!).
Both cars have Easter eggs within their cabins.
When it was KARR's first Easter hunt after his resurrection, he found the day confusing. After a while, he reluctantly decided to join in the fun. As the hunt began, KARR watched with suspicion and interest, gradually warming up to being part of something so vibrant. Finally, joy resonated throughout his circuits when he realized the children weren't afraid of him despite being a usually grumpy car. Joy was something he had never felt before, and it ignited a spark within him that he thought had long since extinguished. Embracing the laughter and excitement around him, KARR began to engage with the children, allowing himself to be swept up in their enthusiasm as they darted through the grass, their giggles ringing in the air like music.
At first, Michael was a little concerned about the two-tone Trans Am participant, knowing that KARR disliked anyone except Bonnie and himself sitting inside his cabin, but his soulmate, KITT, reassured him that his brother would behave appropriately.
Michael joined the other adults, smiling as the children scattered throughout the gardens.
KITT's auditory system picked up an interaction between KARR and a little girl who was crying because the older children found more eggs than she had. The pure black Trans Am recorded the exchange. KARR invited her inside with a surprisingly gentle voice and told her to look inside his glove compartment. He opened it for her, and inside was an extra-large chocolate egg filled with fudge wrapped in rainbow foil with a pink bow.
The little girl's eyes widened in disbelief, removed the egg from the glove compartment, thanked KARR, and ran to her parents with her prize with excitement and delight.
That night, KITT teased his brother about being a softy, and KARR replied with a growl, "Shut up."
It's KARR's tenth Easter egg hunt, and he's the first to insist that Michael hide the most eggs inside his cabin, including one extra-large chocolate fudge egg inside the glove compartment reserved for another small child.
