Work Text:
The early morning sun is shining inside the bedroom where she sleeps, the bed is filled with blankets and pillows, making it extremely warm and comfy, but she stirs awake nonetheless, clearly missing something or someone. She feels around the heap of comforting items for it, but only finds the warmth left behind not long ago.
Slowly she becomes more aware of her surroundings, noticing the decorations that clearly tell a story, from pictures of teens to adults, the same three people appear in them, faces that are extremely familiar to her but that lack something from those that she knows, as they seem so carefree, a stark contrast to the constant worry usually etched in their faces.
She gets out of bed and starts wandering around the bedroom, noticing the large mirror that faces the bed, the huge windows on the wall, which are covered by curtains to diffuse the natural light, and the three doors. She decides to check out the first, which leads her to a closet, filled with more male clothes than female ones, but that could simply mean that the woman who resides there likes to use more masculine clothing in her everyday life, right?
After closing that door, she goes for the second one, which ends up being a bathroom. Said bathroom has a walk-in shower and a tub close to a window, but what truly boggles her mind is the fact that there are three sinks in front of another huge mirror, that is lit with LED lights all around. 'Why are there three sinks? Should not two be enough for a couple?' She wonders.
Going back to the bedroom, she sees a satin robe sitting atop of the back of a chair, that coincidentally matches the pajama set she's wearing. Deciding that someone must have left it out for her, even though she doesn't even remember putting those clothes on, she uses it to cover herself up and opens the last door that leads to a corridor.
Looking to the left side of the corridor, she sees another two doors, one which is covered in floral motifs and another that has a more masculine look. To her right, she sees the staircase that leads to the lower floor of the house, and goes that way, following the noise of chatter and cooking.
As she walks down the corridor and in the direction of the voices, she notices that the theme of the bedroom follows throughout the house, with a lot of family pictures and landscapes, but now there are more people in there, like a certain tall male that she sees as a younger brother and two teenagers, that resemble both her and the men that she already saw in the other pictures.
As she nears the bottom of the stairs, the voices stop, and she sees the two men from the pictures, who are clearly gawking at her body, but with eyes filled with love instead of pure lust. She stops dead in her tracks, not being used to seeing that kind of look in such familiar faces, which usually treat her as a dear friend.
“Good morning my love, did you have a great night of sleep?” Castiel asks, coming close to her and pulling her in a loving embrace, which she slowly reciprocates. “Good morning Cas, yes I did, thank you for asking” she answers with a smile, growing comfortable in his arms and noticing the other man approaching them.
“Mornin’ babe, glad to hear that our dear wife had a well deserved rest after last night's activities” Dean says, with a seductive tone that makes her weak at the knees, while hugging her from behind.
As she begins to blush, Castiel leaves to go check on the breakfast that is cooking, leaving her and the green eyed men behind. Taking advantage of the fact, Dean twists her around and pulls her in a deep kiss, full of his love for her. At first, she doesn't reciprocate fully, but as he deepens the kiss, she can't help but follow his lead, pouring all her love for him in it too.
“As much as I love seeing the two of you like that, I believe that it's my birthday and I deserve my fair share of kisses from my husband and wife” the blue eyed man says from the kitchen, making the other two break the kiss, only to get attacked by them moments later. They cover his face, neck, lips and everywhere else they can reach with kisses and love bites, fulfilling the birthday boy's wishes.
Meanwhile, their children emerge from their respective bedrooms and begin to come downstairs to greet their Papa for his birthday, but not without noisily complaining about the display of love they see happening in front of them.
“Come on Dad and Mom, you two are hogging Papa for yourselves. I also want to hug him, but it's hard with you three acting like teens in the middle of the kitchen” the daughter, Emmeline, complains, while her twin, Jack, just smiles at their parents. “I don't see you complaining when that boyfriend of yours starts making out with you in my living room” their Dad replies, not letting go of his husband. “I already said I was sorry Dad, promise it won't happen again, at least not in front of you” the teen says, muttering that last part with a mischievous grin and throwing a wink at her Mom, who doesn't mind that she's dating, opposite to both her fathers.
As this exchange takes place, there's a knock on the door, which the woman goes to answer, hoping that her husband's last minute gifts have arrived. But when she opens the door, it's him who she sees, her husband that she can clearly hear talking to their kids and husband.
“Cas? How are you here but also inside the house?” she asks, clearly confused. “You need to come back, this isn't real” he replies, not caring to acknowledge any of her questions. “What do you mean Cas, of course this is real. I married you two when I was 20 years old and had the twins at 24, but we have known each other since we were kids, you've been here for me my entire life.” she replies, clearly not understanding what's happening.
“This isn't real, you're in a Djinn induced dream, this is simply a dream and I'm here to take you back before you die. You need to wake up” he says, once again not seeming to care about what she just said. As she takes those words in, her memories come back once again, of fighting beside the two Winchester brothers, Castiel and Jack, the new addition to their makeshift family.

As she begins to stir once again, but now in the real world, the angel's face is the first thing she sees. His eyes are filled with worry, but now she sees something else lurking beneath the surface. Before she can say anything, Dean comes barging into the room and immediately pulls her into his arms to carry her out of the warehouse, and she realizes how weak she feels after being drained by the monster.
“Dean, Cas…” she says in a weak voice “Yes, short stuff?” the blonde replies, still marching towards the Impala “Thanks for saving me” she tells them both, with a smile that could light up a whole room “We would do anything for you” the angel replies, just before she passes out from tiredness.
While she rests in the backseat, now fully healed by her angel, the two men await for Sam, who was responsible for getting rid of the body. “What was she dreaming about Cas?” the hunter asks, not being able to control his curious nature “About us Dean, I didn't see much, but I heard you, me and Jack talking, and there was a feminine voice alongside us, but I'm not sure I recognize who she was.” the angel truthfully responds.
“I think we all need to talk, the three of us I mean, it's clear that we all have feelings for each other, and it's time we act on them” Dean says in a rather strained but still meaningful way. “I agree, the feelings I hold for the two of you are different from the ones I have for Sam and our other friends.”

Once back in the bunker, Sam is helping Jack with some research, giving the three lovers-to-be a moment to talk in private.
“Short stuff, me and Cas came to a conclusion after our last hunt, and we wanna see if you also agree with it” Dean starts. “Yes, after seeing a glimpse of your dream, I came to the realization that I'mikn love with both of you, and I think it's safe to say that Dean also shares those same feelings for you and me”, Cas adds, clearly wanting to jump straight to business.
“I guess you two are right, seeing the life we could have made me realize that there's no reason for us to keep beating around the bush, as it's clear as the day that I'm in love with both of you too” she answers, albeit a lot more shy than the two men.
“Then I think we should get into a relationship, or should we go through the courting stage first?” the angel, who has watched humanity since its beginning, asks.
“I think we should go straight for it, after all we have known each other for more than a decade, there's no need to get to beat around the bush. After all, we already live in the same house” Dean jokes, not losing the chance to let his personality shine.
“I agree, we shall now be girlfriend, boyfriend and boyfriend. We may kiss” she adds, the happiness of finally having her two boys to herself shining through.
Their first kiss is shy, as the angel doesn't have much experience in the area, but Dean is quick to teach him the ropes of French kissing, and she enjoys the attention they lavish her with.
“One question, dearest” the angel says “Who was the female voice I heard in your dream?” the angel asks. “It's not an easy topic for me, but I got pregnant once, when I was around 24, but I sadly lost the baby due to stress.” she answers, with tears forming in her eyes “I'm pretty sure that they were gonna be a girl, so I named them Emmeline”
“Wait, you said 24? Isn't that around the time that we slept together after the werewolf hunt in Michigan?” Dean asks worriedly. “Yes Dean, pretty sure you were her Dad, as I was never one to sleep around, especially without protection.”
“OH God, we have an angel baby together” he says, incredulous, while pulling her close to his body. “I'm certain you're the Dad, De. I visited the heaven of an Emmeline Winchester once, and she looked like the perfect mix of you two, and was watching over the two of you.”
“Really Cas? She was really a little girl?” she asks, tears streaming down her face. “Yes, a mom's gut feeling is always right, dearest.”
“Congrats then Dean, you have a daughter” she jokes, seeing the emotion on his face too. “I love you, both of you.”
“We love you too, baby” they answer in unison, pulling her into a heartfelt embrace.
