Summary
Starting her senior year at Georgia Tech, Nicole was excited to graduate and start the rest of her life. But before the school year even started, a virus unlike any other hit the human race and the dead began to walk again. When the dorm she took shelter in descends into chaos, she finds herself wandering alone in the ruins of Atlanta. It's not until she meets a group of fellow survivors camping near the city that she is able to hope again.
After living through the zombie outbreak and losing everyone close to him, Shane finds solace in a relationship with his deceased best friend Rick's wife Lori and a new purpose in protecting her and her kid. But when Rick shows up alive, that fantasy dies.
A college student who doesn't know the first thing about fighting walkers meets the significantly older, hot-headed second in command of the Atlanta survivor group. As Shane's behavior becomes increasingly erractic, the group begins to deteriorate.
