The sun filtered lazily through the blinds, casting strips of light onto the wooden floor of the office. A familiar rustling of paper and the distant hum of a computer filled the room. Lu Guang stood near the desk, absentmindedly sorting through old photos, brows furrowed in quiet focus.
From the couch, Cheng Xiaoshi watched him in silence, a sly grin slowly curling on his lips. His fingers tightened around the camera in his lap.

Lu Guang looked down, startled. His eyes, large and curious, locked onto Cheng Xiaoshi, who had stealthily shifted to lie on the floor, aiming the camera up at him. Cheng Xiaoshi’s grin widened.
“You’re not supposed to take photos of your partner without asking,” Lu Guang said flatly, his tone calm—but his pink-tinted cheeks betrayed him.
“Relax,” Cheng Xiaoshi replied, rolling onto his back, still pointing the lens at him. “You just looked... really soft from this angle.”
Lu blinked, clearly unimpressed. “Soft?”
“Yeah. Like a curious cat staring down at something dumb its human did.” Cheng Xiaoshi laughed. “You’re adorable.”
Lu Guang looked away, arms crossing over his chest, but made no move to stop him. “Delete it.”
Cheng tapped his camera and held up the screen, revealing the snapshot: Lu Guang’s fluffy hair haloed by light, wide blue eyes full of quiet emotion. He smirked. “Too late. It’s already my new lockscreen.”
A faint groan escaped Lu Guang as he turned back to the desk. “You're ridiculous.”
Cheng Xiaoshi laughed again, soft and fond. “Yeah... but you’re still looking at me, aren’t you?”
Lu Guang didn't respond, but the subtle twitch at the corner of his lips said everything.
