“Just go, Rav! Come on!”.
Buck can feel it, the building trembling under his feet, probably another gas pocket. Debris starting to fall around them, he pushes Ravi off the ledge, “Go go go!!”.
He knows, with near certainty, that Ravi won’t reach in time for him to get on the line. More debris falling around him, and the floor under him is cracking. This is it, all his heroics and risk-taking and he dies standing on an unstable floor. Its almost ironic.
Atleast Ravi is safe. He doesn’t know where Hen and Chim are, but he hopes they’re safe too. Eddie’s safe, standing on the opposite building, waiting for Ravi to reach.
His family is all safe, and if there’s anything beyond death, maybe he’ll get to see Bobby again. He looks at Eddie again, staring to see if Buck is on the line yet. He can almost see the concern in Eddie’s face, the dawning realisation that Buck won’t make it in time. Then the floor gives out from under him, and he’s lost in the darkness. His last thought is of Eddie, concerned and trying to reach out, but too far away.
