Chapter Text

Waking up after a night at angels share, he finds himself no longer in Mondstadt. Instead he’s looking at a purple pointy eared woman…

Venti’s POV

“Are you alright?” The woman asks in a baffled tone.

“Eheh~ I’m fine, but where am I? If I may ask miss..?” I replied confused.

“We’re on earth-“ she gets out before I can interrupt.

“But I was just on teyvat..?” I ask confused.

“Ah, seems like you aren’t from this world either…” the lady says with a sigh.

“Hey Bob, we need to get a restock on unicorn blood- who the hell is that? They look like they’re from the past-” a tall pointy eared blue man says confusing me more.

“They’re from somewhere called Teyvat? I think that means they aren’t mortal, or if they are they aren’t human at least” the woman- no Bob says to the man.

“How did you know I’m not human..?” I asked completely shocked.

“Okay so we aren’t humans either but by the sounds of it you have met humans before- so can you tell us about what you are, and what Teyvat is like?” Bob asks me gently.

“Teyvat has 7 nations ruled by separate gods or archons as we call them, each nations archon has a different element which humans can get access to using if they have a vision, for instance I have an anemo- or wind -vision” I replied more calmly.

“But you aren’t human? Yet you still have a vision? Are you a special case?” The blue male asks.

“Eheh~ I guess it’s just because I didn’t want people questioning how I can use anemo, but yes, it’s just for show, I am an elemental wisp after all~” I replied happily as I don’t need to hide myself in front of these two.

“I haven’t heard of a wisp like you before? And I’ve been around for 5000 years…” Bob says confused.

“You’re immortal as well?” I ask.

“We’re fae, the only way we die is by a weapon specifically made to kill us” Bob replies nonchalantly before adding, “what do you mean as well?”

“Fae? I’ve never heard of them before. And to answer you- yes I’m immortal, it would take someone of more or equal my power to kill me…” I replied honestly.

“How strong are you- and what’s your name and any titles you have?-” the blue male asks before getting cut off.

“Don’t ask about the titles Cyrus!” Bob says giving the male- no Cyrus a small pat.

“It’s quite alright! You may call me Venti the Bard~ or just Venti is fine~ as for titles? Does being the Anemo Archon count?” I replied with a question.

At this they both stood there, their faces morphing into confusion and shock.

“You’re a god..?” Bob asks completely bewildered.

“God of Wind, freedom and hope at your service! Eheh~” I replied cheerfully.

“I need a coffee” Cyrus says before walking behind a counter.

“Okay so you need to be careful- because there’s multiple religions here and most will try to possibly steal you if anyone finds out- also I know you’re telling the truth because I casted truth spell on you-” Bob says not realising it didn’t work, but she didn’t need to know that.

“Eheh~ that’s fine~ I walked around my own nation for hundreds of years without people knowing about me being their god~” I replied casually.

“Okay- that’s good then, what do you plan to do now? Since I assume you can’t go home?” She asks gently.

“Well I assume we’re in a place needing freedom? I would like to stay around you two since it’s a new world” I replied honestly.

“You can come with me Venti, we could use another worker, you would be paid fairly and we can get you some documents saying you’re a half fae who’s immortal” Bob suggests.

“Eheh~ sure I’m happy to work with you two~” I replied cheerfully.

“We’ll introduce you to everyone else in the morning and get your training started” Bob says with a smile.

“Why is this not even breaching top ten weirdest things to happen to us” we hear Cyrus mutter over his coffee causing both me and Bob to laugh.

Third POV

“Hey Bob, Cyrus and new guy- wait who is this?” Rethu asks confused.

“Ah, where’s Jennifer Charles? And Husniya?” Bob asks instead of answering.

“They’re not here yet-” Drek replied with uncertainty.

“We’re here- we were talking in the back room, who’s this young man?” Husniya replies and then questions.

“Who’s the new dude?” JC asks confused.

“This is Venti, he’s a new employee who will be staying with me and Cyrus” Bob says casually.

“Eheh~ hello~ i hope we can all get along~” Venti said in a sing song voice.

“Oh, how did you guys meet?” Husniya asks kindly.

“From what we know, he most likely dropped through a portal that opened for a split second in his world, which landed him in the cafe right before we left yesterday” Bob replies with a matter of fact tone.

“Is he mortal?- or where even is he from?” Rethu asks even more confused.

“I am no mortal but I have lived among humans for centuries my dear Dragon~” Venti states with a smile.

“I’m guessing you have dragons where you’re from Venti?” JC adds before anyone else could.

“Eheh~ yes~ an old friend of mine is a dragon, he goes by Zhongli these days, he also used to be an archon just like I was before he faked his death~” Venti replied nonchalantly.

“How old is he? If I can ask?” Cyrus says.

“Zhongli?” Venti asks, which Cyrus returns a nod at getting Venti to continue, “if I do recall he is 6000 years or so old, Eheh~”

“Damn! He’s older than the boss!” JC stated while Rethu looked at Venti with contemplation.

“Venti, if I may ask, what type of dragon is Zhongli? And how powerful is he?” Rethu asks gently trying to coax it out of Venti.

“Zhongli is geo dragon, he can control the element of geo with such ease, such is expected from an archon like us after all Eheh~” Venti responds unbothered.

“An elemental dragon- one that isn’t fire?? That’s extremely rare! He must be powerful if he made it so long” Rethu exclaimed excitedly.

“You keep saying the word Archon as if it has some sort of special meaning…” Nicole says startling all but Venti and JC.

“Venti do you want me to tell them, or do you want to tell them yourself?” Bob asks gently.

“Eheh~ as long as it doesn’t leave this room~” Venti responds calmly.

At this he gets nods and yes’s from everyone in the room.

“Archon refers to one of the Seven of Teyvat, the Seven are Gods that each rule over their own territories in Teyvat, each of us have our own element that we also are able to completely control~” Venti recounts as everyone goes silent except himself, Bob and Cyrus.

“What the actual fuck-” JC starts before being cut off.

“That is so cool!! A dragon god!! If a portal ever opens up again I want to be able to meet them!!” Rethu all but gushes.

“So, do you want us to treat you like we treat Bob? You know like just a normal human being?” Nicole asks in confusion.

“Eheh~ yes~ I do not wish to be worshiped as I do not require it really~ thank you for asking my dear~” Venti replied with a smile and a hat tip.

After this everyone goes to get things ready for the day.

Time skip to half an hour before closing.

Third POV

“WHAT?!?!” Everyone here’s Rethu shout in the back, which causes everyone to run to them.

“What’s wrong my dear dragon?” Venti asks worried.

“My sister’s egg was stolen” Rethu says still devastated and fuming.

“Do we know who stole it?” Husniya asked feeling worried for egg.

“I might be new to this world, but the wind tells me that it was the landlord who sold her out” Venti states in a serious tone.

“Wait, did the wind tell you who bought the information from the landlord?” Husniya asks bewildered.

“All it tells me is that it was the Oaken sisters, the Saint Paul ones?” Venti replies solemnly with a small questioning tone.

“Let me call Erik, he might know about them and the dragon egg” JC said before calling Erik.

“Dear Celestia! The one time I wish the old man was here to help” Venti grumbles annoyed.

“Erik, we need your help, Rethu’s sisters egg was stolen by the Oaken sisters, do you know of any way to get the egg back” JC asks before putting the phone on speaker mode.

“Wait, hold the fuck up, they stole her egg? They would have charms to protect themselves and to keep their location hidden. So to get back the egg would be impossible-” Erik replies before he cut himself off, “wait, how the fuck did you know it was them? You weren’t ever in that business?!”

“No, but we have Venti, I’ll fill you in later on that- but, yeah, Venti was able to find out who stole the egg before his source was unable to provide any more information” JC responded trying to explain without adding too much.

“It’s confirmed, it was the Saint Paul witch coven, Nicole just told me that she cast a divination spell” Cyrus says interrupting.

At this Venti starts to zone out and think of a better way to help.

It only takes until everyone else came up with a plan, he finally knows what to do.

“If needed I can show up as my Archon form, I could stay with Rethu, and then possibly lessen the thieves freedom~” Venti says calmly, but for some tea it causes a collective shiver down everyone’s back to occur.

“I mean it’s been a while since I’ve fought non Abyss creatures~ Eheh~” Venti says in a false cheery way.

“Why am *I* of all beings now terrified? I’m a fae!” Cyrus says scared.

“Don’t worry Cyrus, he only wants to help us” Bob says reassuringly.
