Chapter Text

It’s been years since the fight against the absolute solver, and since then things have been peaceful, N and V got accepted into the colony despite it being a slow process since they’re murder drones. V and Lizzy became a couple which surprised a few drones but the rest saw it coming. N and Uzi have been having a great relationship ever since, the two even got their own home in the colony to live in with N joining the WDF to help support them both.

Uzi after graduating, started working on the pod that N flew to help Uzi fight the solver, to hopefully fix it so she and N can find the rest of those humans from JCJenson so she can do her “kill all humans” plan.

Days went by and while N was working with the WDF, Uzi was scavenging for parts to fix the pod, it’s been a long and tedious process but after months and months of working, the day finally arrived.

N was currently at work, he wore a long coat that went down to his ankles, it’s zipped up and has an armband with WDF on it, his pilots cap is the same but old, and N’s have gotten some upgrades appearance wise thanks to Uzi, his visor now glowed a white color once again besides the usually yellow, he definitely looked older but still handsome according to Uzi.

N is wandering the halls of the bunker with his hands in his coat pockets, he’s recently gotten something to give to Uzi and he was nervous about it, he searched the bunker for Uzi but couldn’t find her, he did however encounter Nori who was just leaving her home.

“Hello N, how’s work?” Nori asked, her hand resting on her hip as N didn’t expect to see his girlfriend’s mother. “It’s been fine, protecting the drones in the bunker is nice, have you seen Uzi?” N asked hoping to find Uzi soon.

Nori looked at N and noticed his hand in his pocket, she smirked before answering “She’s outside working on that pod, give her a good surprise” Nori said before walking away, N was confused by the response but realized what she meant when he gripped his gift in his pocket.

After clocking out and heading to the pod outside the bunker N sees Uzi popping out of the top of the pod, N smiled at the sight of his girlfriend who definitely changed through the years.

Uzi has longer hair that went down her back, her jacket is still the same but she had it tailored to resemble N’s older jacket while also having a purple solver mark on its back, since she has full control over it now, she still wore her beanie but it’s a bit old.

“Hey N! Perfect timing!” Uzi jumped off and landed in front of N, the two smiled at each other as N was about to pull out his gift but Uzi grabs him by the arm and pulls him to the pod. “I finally got this thing working, we can now fly off this planet and take down those humans!” Uzi says with excitement as she takes N into the pod, N was about to pull out his gift but decided to wait and do one more adventure with Uzi before showing it to her.

“Are you ready N? We’re going to hit JCJenson at the source!” Uzi said with a crazed laugh as she heads to the controls. “Let’s do it Uzi!” N responded as he sat down on the chair and started up the pod, Uzi sat down on the chair next to him, she spun the seat as the pod got on its legs before blasting off the ground.

The two looked at the monitors as the pod soon reached the planets atmosphere, N looked at Uzi and her smile, he recalled how the two met, how they fought against many horrors and even destroyed the absolute solver.

The two went through so much and N didn’t mind if they had to go through another adventure before giving her the gift.

The pod starts shaking as it breaks through the atmosphere, but sadly it doesn’t last long as something hits the pod causing it to steer off course, N tries to steer it back but the pod crashes into one of the rocks that flouted around the planet, the hall breaks and the two drones are thrown out into space.

N and Uzi fall back towards the planet, Uzi spread out her wings to try and get to N but a piece from the broken hall of the pod hit her in the head, cracking her visor as fell further away unconscious, N tried to use his wings to reach Uzi but due to them falling back towards the planet, the two had burst into flame as they reentered the atmosphere, N’s wings couldn’t handle it and started being ripped off his back as he and Uzi got further apart.

“UZI!!!” N called out as the two got further and further away, soon N lost sight of Uzi and fell back to the surface of the planet in a blazing inferno, N crashed against the surface leaving a crater in the ground.

Meanwhile Uzi crashed through a few trees before bouncing off the ground and ending up slamming against a ruined building, her visor is red with the message [ERROR] displayed, she was unconscious and her crash caused a commotion in the area, after a moment a drone arrives to see Uzi’s unconscious body, the drone examines her body and notices the message on her visor before grabbing her by the arms and dragging her away.

She woke up in a jolt, gasping as she felt a sharp pain in her head, she looked for a wound but couldn’t find anything, everything around her felt like it was covered by a dark fog as questions popped in her head.

Who is she? Where is she? What caused the sharp pain in her head? Everything feels wrong and she just wants answers.

“Okay… I need to calm down… I must have something on me that tells me who I am…” she searched her pockets, it took a moment but she eventually pulled out an ID that looked burnt, the picture was destroyed but it was clear that the person on it has purple hair, she has purple hair so the burnt picture must be her, the name on the ID is scratched and the name is practically illegible.

“The card is destroyed! I can’t read it! what the hell did I do!?” She groans in annoyance and puts the ID back in her pocket, she looks around the room she’s in and the dark fog fades away.

She’s in a room that looked like a lab of some sort, but there are plants and vines growing all over the room, she notices that she’s on a metal table and slowly gets off it feeling the colorful flowers make contact with her boots.

“Ah! So you’ve woken up” A voice calls out as she sees a feminine drone with long grey hair, what’s surprising is that the drone had flowers sprouting out the cracks of the drone’s body, it’s almost eerie looking while the drone gave such a calming aura.

“I’m glad you’re okay, a member of our colony found you hurt outside our bunker, are you okay miss?” The plant drone asked with a soft tone in her voice.

“I…. Think so? I can’t remember anything, I have an ID on me but it’s mostly destroyed, so I guess you can call me Z, it’s the only thing I could read off it” The amnesiac drone says as she decides to go by Z for the time being.

“I’m sorry to hear that, I’m Ophelia, the leader of this colony of drones” her voice is soft and Z could tell that the plants on the drones body are still blooming.

“Are you okay? What’s with the plants?” Z asked as she felt an eerie feeling seeing a drone taken over by plants. Ophelia smiled softly in response “I understand your concern, but here we feel at ease in the presence of nature, we don’t mind if our bodies house the plants that we find beautiful”.

Ophelia gets close and examines Z’s head “It seems you’ve healed, I’ve never seen a drone heal by themselves” Z only got more curious about who she is since it’s clear to her that she’s a unique drone.

“If you’d like, you can stay with us while you recover” Ophelia offered but Z shook her head. “Thanks but I really should figure out who I am, can you take me to where you found me?” Z asked and Ophelia nodded.

Z walked through the bunker following Ophelia to the exit, she did her best to avoid the flowers and foliage that covered the bunker, when she and Ophelia made it to the exit a large metal door started to slowly open, Z noticed the sun shining through as the door opened, she was curious on what the world outside looked like but the moment the sunlight passed her boots and touched her legs she felt a terrible burn as she jumped away from the sunlight before tripping over a vine.

“Are you okay dear!?” Ophelia asked concerned for Z who saw her burnt legs heal up which made her eyes hollow out on her visor. “M…my legs felt like they were on fire!” Z questions herself, now more confused on who she is because this is ridiculous, what kind of drone can’t stay in the sun!?

“You can stay with us until it gets dark if you wish” Ophelia offered but Z got up with a annoyed look “No, I don’t care if I can’t be in the sun, I’m finding a way pass it” Z said before looking around the room, she grabs a large piece of thick cloth, a needle, and a long vine that was hanging from the ceiling.

Z crafts a cloak with a hood that should cover her up enough so the sun can’t touch her, “Okay, I’m ready now” she says as Ophelia guides her outside, thankfully the cloak works although it’s still a bit hot.

After a moment of walking, Z is taken to an old building with a crater on the side of the wall “You were found here, according to the one who found you, you fell in a fiery inferno into the ground” Ophelia explained while Z was only left with more questions.

Z looked over at the crater and noticed some kind of small box on the ground, when she opened the box it had a ring inside with a small note.

“Uzi, I hope this is a surprise and not something you predicted beforehand, but I’ve been thinking for awhile and I know we’ve been together for years after what happened, I love you Uzi” Z read the note, the name Uzi echos in her head, it had to be her name, she pulled out the ID in her pocket and looked at the scratched name, Uzi had to be her name.

“I have a fiancé!?” Uzi said in shock as she never considered she would be with someone, she looked at who signed the note  but sadly couldn’t find anything, Ophelia notices Uzi’s reaction.

“Are you okay Z?” She asked as Uzi turned to face the nature drone “I…I’m fine, but I did find out my name, it’s Uzi…. Although I don’t know my last name….” Uzi explained as while she does have her name, she still can’t recall anything, all she knows is she can’t be in the sun and she has a fiancé.

The sun is setting….

Uzi takes off the hood of her cloak, happy that she can free her hair but something felt wrong, her core started beating heavily in her body, what is causing this? She looks up to see three drones flying with sharp blade like wings, her core beat harder in her body as even Ophelia lost her smile.

“Oh dear….” Ophelia said as her voice was calm but had a hint of fear “Murder drones…..” the three drones landed in front of the two, one of them with a masculine build walked up two them with a spiked mask over his mouth.

“Two for one tonight! Try and scream as much as you want, I have a record to break!” He laughs as his arm turns into a flamethrower which made Ophelia flinch as the flowers on her body shook, Uzi looked at the three and had to think of a plan, she just got her name back, and now knowing someone out there wants to marry her, and yet she feels strangely confident despite being outnumbered.

Uzi quickly grabs Ophelia by the wrist and gets out of the way as fire nearly hits the two, the murder drone turns to face the two as his partners were about to pounce but he lifted up his hand “D, Q, don’t you dare…. they’re mine” He said before giving a sadistic smile, he spread his wings as Uzi and Ophelia ran to try and reach the bunker.

“This is going to be fun~” The murder drone said as he launched up in the air and started the chase.

Hours Ago….

N jolted awake, he was in his home in the bunker, V is sitting next to him with Lizzy and Thad nearby.

“N! You’re awake! What happened?” V asked before quickly adjusting her glasses, Thad and Lizzy got close as N recalled what happened almost instantly, he jumped up and spread his wings that healed while he was unconscious, he flew through the door and started heading for the exit.

“N!!! Wait!!!” V shouted as she spread her wings and chased after N, Lizzy and Thad followed behind.

A lot of things are on N’s mind, but he knows that he must find Uzi to see if she’s okay.

N flew through the bunker at high speed, he was about to reach the exit but V tackled him against the door, “N! Calm down, what’s gotten into you!?” V asked worried about him as Thad and Lizzy soon arrive, N manages to push V off causing her to slam against the wall “Uzi’s out there! I need to find her!” N tries to open the door and is stopped when he’s suddenly frozen in place before being thrown away from the door, he slid across the ground and is met by Nori who looks down at him with annoyance.

“Explain yourself….” Nori demanded, N looked around to see everyone look at him with worry, he slowly get up from the ground and reached into his pocket to realize his gift to Uzi is missing, he wants to panic but he has to explain things first.

Uzi and Ophelia ran as fast as they could, the murder drone chasing after flying high above them, he turns his arm into a flamethrower making it rain balls of fire towards the two drones did their best to escape.

“Ophelia, I’ll stall the murder drone, you get back to your bunker!” Uzi pushes Ophelia ahead and pulled off a pipe from the wall of a ruined building, “But dear, you can’t be serious, you’ll die without help!” Said the nature drone but Uzi insisted “I’ll be fine, run!” This made Ophelia regrettably run off, Uzi turned to face the murder drone who is still flying high in the air.

“Oh? A brave one, I better make this last” the murder drone says before diving down towards Uzi, he tries to pierce her with his claws but instead Uzi dash towards him causing him to tackle her while letting the worker drone wrap her arms around the murder drone’s neck, falling backwards, and slamming his head against the ground, cracking his head and visor.

Uzi got up and tried to run but her ankle gets grabbed by the drone’s tail, she’s thrown aside and hits a nearby broken vehicle making it slide across the ground from the impact. Uzi grunts a bit in pain noticing the murder drone getting back up, she quickly hides behind the car hoping to find a way to either escape or kill the murder drone, she looked around and grabbed a reflective glass piece, she looked at the reflection to help look for the murder drone, but what she was seeing wasn’t right, the reflection showed something different and her head is starting to hurt.

Static images and recordings were playing in her head, what was she seeing? Everything is to fuzzy, and it hurts so much, Uzi screamed in pain causing the murder drone to find her. “There you are!” He calls out and tries to grab her but her visor starts glitches as [ERROR] appears for a moment before behind replaced by purple X followed by an insane smile.

“What the hell!?” The murder drone took a step back but Uzi tackles him onto the ground, his visor scanned Uzi but it couldn’t understand anything as Uzi gripped her head shaking in pain before organic wings bursted out of her back, the murder drone gives a look of terror as he manages to get up and back away.

“What are you!? You can’t be a worker or disassembly!” The murder drone called out as Uzi gripped her head with shaking hands, failing to control herself as [ERROR] appeared on her visor many times, she lets out a loud roar and charges at the murder drone who tried to burn her with the flamethrower, but Uzi charges through and pierces the drone through the torso with both hands making the drone scream in pain.

“Dodge this!” The murder drone says through the pain as his arm turns into a blade and tries to cut Uzi’s head off, but she bites down on the blade and tears it off the drone’s body, in his POV his vision goes fuzzy and static as Uzi starts tearing him apart, oil covering her face and hands as she laughs, soon his vision fades as [FATAL ERROR] appears on his visor.

After what felt like ages, Uzi found herself on her knees confused, she felt tired. “What happened?” She said to herself before noticing her body covered in oil which is mostly around her mouth, she looked down to see the torn up body of the murder drone, she felt her core beat heavy in her chest, what happened? Did she do this? What is she? Has this happened before?

Many questions plagued her mind as she felt lost, every second she grew further on the idea on who she could be, dark thoughts grew as she felt trapped in her own body.

“Am I a monster?” She asked herself, scared of the answer that wouldn’t come, she almost gave in to the dark thoughts before noticing the ring on her finger, when did she put it on? That didn’t matter, because it made her realize something. Uzi took a moment to clear her thoughts before getting back on her feet, whoever gifted her the ring must know who she is, and even cared for her enough to marry her, that person must be out there looking for her.

“I don’t know who I am…. But clearly someone out there does, I must have a family or friends who are worried…this ring proves it” Uzi looked around and noticed the rest of the murder drones looking down at Uzi from the top of a building, their eyes met and they flew away.

“They likely saw what I did… whatever that is, I need to let Ophelia know I’m okay” Uzi tells herself and heads back towards the bunker.

N is thrown against the wall by Nori whose hand is out with the solver symbol displayed “You lost my daughter!?!” She yells out in anger as Khan tries to calm her down, N tries his best to explain. “Something hit the pod and it caused us to crash, I tried reaching for her but my wing got torn in the fall!” N pleaded while Khan grabbed Nori by her shoulder “Honey please, you know Uzi is a lot tougher than we give her credit for, let N go.” Nori sighed and let N go off the wall.

“I promise I’ll find her, she’s my girlfriend so I’m worried to” N said as V poked his back which made him turn to face her. “I’m coming with you, don’t even bother trying to go alone like some love driven hero” V said as Thad and Lizzy joined in.

“Us as well, thanks to Uzi we can handle ourselves fine with the gear she built” Thad added as Lizzy shrugged before giving a small smile. N looked at everyone before smiling “Thanks, let’s get prepared and look for Uzi!” N said almost cheering as he and everyone had a mission.

“Hold on Uzi…. We’ll find you”

Chapter Text

N was in his home in the bunker, he sat on the bed that he and Uzi shared, his thoughts longer on how he lost the ring, he was hoping to go on one more adventure with the person he loved and live a married life with her after.

He let out a sigh before hearing a knock at the door, “N! We’re ready let’s go!” He hears Thad call out to him so he gets off the bed and starts to quickly prepare.

N fixes up his WDF uniform and grabs a duffle bag with large bottles of oil, a few tools, and Uzi’s railgun in case it’s needed.

N met up with everyone outside the bunker, the moon shining down on them as V and Lizzy walked up to him, V is wearing a zipped up winder jacket with a scarf around her neck, Lizzy is similar but the scarf is smaller and pink.

“Thad’s getting our transportation” Lizzy says while on her phone, the three stood out in the snow before a bus arrives with Thad in the drivers seat.

“Time to get to work! All aboard!” Thad calls out as everyone got in the bus, Thad wore a hat backwards with WDF on the front, he has a bit on armor on his shoulders with a metal bat strapped to his back plus a glove on his right hand.

N and everyone took a seat in the bus, Khan made N the leader of this search team which did make him feel overwhelmed, but he’s with friends so it should be fine.

The bus drove down the path and everyone got comfy in their seats, Lizzy is leaning against V who’s holding her comfortably, Thad is driving the bus along the path avoiding any debris that could damage the bus, N is in the very back looking at a picture of him and Uzi when they first got a home together.

The drive went on for a while and N almost fell asleep on the bus until it suddenly stopped, N got out of his seat to check what’s going on, “Why did we stop?” He asked noticing Thad isn’t in the drivers seat, he looked back to see Lizzy and V cuddling in their seat doing their own thing, N got off the bus to see Thad looking at a ruined building that blocked the road, “oh? Hey N, we got a bit of a problem” Thad points at the debris that blocked the road.

“Can’t we just go around?” N asked before noticing Thad pulling out his bat, “The bus can’t handle off road drive, so we need to get rid of this debris” Thad explains as he starts doing tricks with his bat, with every hit to the ground a green light turns on across the bat.

“Uzi must’ve added new weapons for you, do you got anything?” Thad asked as N looked at the debris, “I haven’t really had a reason to use them since Uzi killed the absolute solver” N answered before noticing the light on Thad’s bat glowing a red color as he finished doing tricks, “Did Uzi build that for you?” Asked the former murder drone watched as Thad threw his bat at the debris, the moment it made contact a red kinetic blast destroyed a chunk of the debris as the light on the bat turned off, Thad put his gloved hand out and the bat flew back into his hand.

“Uzi made me this bat and glove, in her words it’s a bat that stores kinetic energy that can be recalled to my hand with the glove” Thad showed N a closer look of the bat, and N is very familiar of Uzi’s work so it’s very clear that Uzi made the bat. N looked at the damage the bat made to the road block, before turning his arm into a launcher and fired a missile which destroyed  more of the debris almost clearing the road.

“Uzi had a lot of weapon ideas she wanted to add to my arsenal, I agreed of course since at the time we didn’t know what could happen, she return my visor to its original white color and as they days went by I almost forgot I was built to kill worker drones” N admitted to himself, the memories he and Uzi had together made him forget about all the murder and death that he had done to many and almost her back when they first met.

After one more missile the road is cleared, N turned his arm back to normal and started heading back to the bus, but Thad caught his attention, “So you were planning on marrying Uzi?” N froze before turning towards Thad panicked “H..How did you know that?” Thad laughed “I didn’t! I took a guess, but I know now!” He continued to laugh, but gave N’s shoulder a pat, “I’m surprise you two didn’t marry long ago, you two have been happy together for years” Thad commented.

“Marriage usually means settling down with someone you want to spend your life with, Uzi always had something in mind so I didn’t want to hold her down, but I do want to settle down with her, I was going to ask her the big question but she had the pod fixed up and wanted do another adventure, so I waited and went with her on the pod…” N’s words started to slow down as he remembered the pod crashing, maybe if he asked the question Uzi wouldn’t be lost, maybe they’d be at home in each others arms.

“We’ll find her N, and when we do you can ask her yourself” Thad gave N a pat on the back before heading back to the bus, N stood there in thought before getting back on the bus.

The bus started and the team continued their search, N sitting in the back thinking of what to tell Uzi when he finds her.

Chapter Text

Uzi returned to the plant covered bunker, after her encounter with the murder drone she had more questions build up in her mind, she’s clearly not a normal drone, she’s very dangerous but she must know others because of the ring, maybe she isn’t the only drone that could tear a murder drone into pieces.

By the time the door to the bunker opened, Ophelia is on the other side surprised by Uzi’s appearing and the oil that covered her body, “I’m back” Uzi said with a forced smile, Ophelia looks at oil that is around Uzi’s mouth almost worried to ask a question. “Uzi!? What happened?” Ophelia asked, the flowers on her body shivering like a cold wind flew by.

“I killed the murder drone… at least I think I did… I kinda blacked out for a moment” Uzi chuckled but it’s clear that she still felt unsure on what she did exactly but with the amount of oil on her body it was clear to her that she tore that murder drone apart.

“What about the other two?” Ophelia asked concerned on what might happen next, “They left after they saw what happened to their leader” Uzi said almost vaguely, but Ophelia didn’t want to intrude on what happened. The flower drone brought Uzi back into the bunker to clean off the oil on her body, the process took a lot longer than expected but soon Uzi was cleaned up.

“So what do you plan on doing now?” Ophelia asked, Uzi sat down on a nearby chair that was being held up by vines, “Well I can’t stay here, while I do appreciate your colony finding me, there’s probably others worried about me” Uzi said adjusting her makeshift cloak, the flower drone had a worried look but nodded, “I understand, I’m glad you at least remember your name, I wish you luck on finding your friends and family, is there anything you need before you leave?” Ophelia offered but Uzi shook her head since she didn’t want Ophelia to waste resources on her.

Uzi headed towards the exit looking at the ring on her finger, she doesn’t know who gifted this to her but she’s going to find them, they should help Uzi with her lost memory hopefully.

“So any idea who your partner could be?” Ophelia asked as the bunker door opened up, Uzi stood for a moment in thought, “If I were to guess, I’d say a kind but intimidating person, someone who’s scary but really a teddy bear” Uzi gave her guess before letting out a small laugh, Ophelia joined her in the laugh letting the both of them interact before Uzi leaves, since it’s unsure if they’ll see each other again.

“Good Luck Uzi” Ophelia says as Uzi leave the bunker giving her a smile before the door shut closed, Uzi didn’t know where to go but maybe she could use where she found the ring and figure out a direction from there. It took her awhile but Uzi managed to return to the place where she was found, she noticed in the distance a few trees broken as if something crashed through it, it lined up with her impact site so it confirms where she crashed through, but what caused her to crash in the first place? She gripped her head trying her hardest to gather any memory, but nothing would appear and all that can come into mind is her name, Uzi… Uzi… that name means something, it has something more behind it, is she someone important? Maybe she’s like Ophelia and is a leader of a colony of drones, sadly there’s not enough to go on to make a possible conclusion.

“Whoever I am…. I have to at least figure out what happened to me” Uzi says as she starts following the path that she thinks can lead her to the truth.

While Uzi went into the woods she felt her head start to hurt again, she hears the sound of footsteps in snow echo in her head, is this a hint on where she’s from? Since she’s woken up she’s seen nothing but trees and ruined buildings, maybe she lives someplace cold? Or maybe it was winter, it frustrates her with how she’s not getting a clear answer.

“I’ll find a way home…. Eventually…” Uzi sighed before continuing on her way.

Chapter Text

The bus drove across a ruined highway riddled with holes and other broken cars, Thad was carefully driving pass any obstacles to avoid a crash, they’ve been on the road for a few days, N and V had to cover the windows so the sun wouldn’t get them, it’s night once again and N noticed that the road is no longer covered in snow, meaning they’re in new territory now.

N sat on top of the bus as it drove by, he noticed what looked to be a ruined city up ahead, he knocked on the windshield to get Thad’s attention, “Thad, let’s search the city up ahead, Uzi could be hunkering down there” N instructed as the search party makes their way to what’s left of a city.

The bus parked near a the more stable looking building in the city, it’s fairly tall with a few broken windows and holes around the upper floors, “Alright, me and V will fly around the city to see if we can spot Uzi, you two stay and guard the bus” N said before him and V spread their wings and flew high up into the air, Thad and Lizzy watched as the two drones flew away.

“I’ll go check the engine” Thad said before heading to the front of the bus to inspect the engine, Lizzy looked around the unfamiliar area trying to see if she’s able to find clues or leads.

N and V flew through the air at high speeds, mostly with V trying to catch up to N as he actively scans the area in hopes to find Uzi as quickly as possible, he almost considered going into his old disassembly hunting mode so he could check possible hiding spots, but V finally caught up to him. “N! Slow down, this city is big you need to take your time.” V said trying to calm him down, “I understand if you’re worried, but if you’re going to panic then you’re going to make everyone stressed, Uzi’s dad made you leader of this team so you need to act like a leader” V explained to the best of her ability as N didn’t know what to think.

“I’ve never been in a position that gave me any kind of authority, I’m so used to being told what to do, I was a butler back at manor, and I was nothing but a useless disassembly drone according to J–“ V smacks N in the face, “N, you’re much more capable than you believe, and Uzi made you even more capable with those upgrades, you’re the best pick out of the four of us to be leading this team.” V’s words lingered in N’s mind, she was right, he had to keep things together, he’s more capable than he believes.

“….Let’s go back to the bus, we can search the buildings with the others” N said before flying back to the bus with V following behind.

Back at the bus, Thad finished checking the engine, there wasn’t any problems so everything should be fine on the road, he noticed V and N returning as the two landed in front of the worker drone, “Any luck?” Thad asked “We couldn’t find her outside, she might be in one of the buildings” N suggested which Thad gave him a nod, he closed the trunk of the bus until suddenly an arrow flies by between N and V before hitting Thad in the shoulder, the two drones look back trying to scan for the attacker but saw nothing, their attention goes back to Thad who’s grunting in pain trying to remove the arrow.

“Thad hold on! Lizzy! Help Thad!” N called out as Lizzy exited the bus to see the situation before dragging Thad into the bus for safety, N and V look around to try and find the attacker but were met with another arrow as it pierces through V’s neck, she was pushed back a bit before pulling the arrow out of her neck which quickly healed, N tried scan the direction the arrow came from, he couldn’t find anything, is the person hiding just after they shoot? Or maybe they’re…..

N spread his wings and flew at high speed towards one of the buildings, he managed to crash through a window and tackle the attacker, he tried to get a look at the attacker but his hand gets stabbed causing him to pull back, he looked at his hand to see a large thorn pierced through his palm, he looks around the room as it’s covered in darkness, he tries to remove the thorn but a thick vine shoots out of the darkness nearly hitting N in the head, he looked over to see a worker drone walk out of the darkness.

The drone pulled back the vine as N noticed the vine growing out of the drone’s left arm, he had a bow and quiver on his back, wore a ripped up jacket with flowers sprouting from the drone’s torso, the drone’s visor shined a orange color as he glared at N with malice.

“So you’ve returned with back up…. And with hostages, you murder drones are horrible…” the drone said confusing N of what this drone’s motives are, “Hold on! I’m not a disassembly drone, not anymore!” N tried to explain but the drone used the vine in his arm as a whip and smacks N in the head leaving more thorns into him. “I won’t fall for your lies! Nature will claim your body as it will claim the land!” The drone attacks with the vine again as N quickly jumps out the broken window to get some distance while removing the thorn from his hand, but the vine wraps around his leg before slamming him against the side of the building.

The drone follows N out the window as the vine travels across his body before stabbing into the wall, keeping the drone on the wall as he readied his bow. V arrived and slashed at the vine with a bladed hand, the vine broke causing the drone to fall, but not before shooting another arrow hitting V in the torso which made an [ERROR] message appear on her visit before falling, the arrowhead is just inches near her core which would’ve been fatal if it went further in.

N catches V and pulls the arrow out, V regains consciousness as her torso quickly heals, “What the hell!? What kind of arrows are those!?” V asked in both pain and a annoyed tone. Thorns fly pass the two as the archer’s vine already regrew and held the drone on the wall just near the ground, he readied another arrow as the vine shot more thorns at the two former murder drones, “Oh no you don’t!” V calls out giving down towards the drone, she dodges the thorns and aims her gun at the drone while she got closer.

A arrow flew and a gun was fired, the arrow flew by V’s head as she barely moved out of the way while the archer gets shot through his left arm which gave V time to grab the drone by the neck and slam him against the ground before throwing him back into the building through the wall.

N lands nexts to V, “Are you okay?” N asked while V sighed in annoyance, “I’m not a fan of arrows….” N smiled at that “I’m just glad you’re okay, let’s head back to the bus” N said trying to return to the bus, but a vine shoots out from the building and pierces through his arm, “You… aren’t…. Leaving….” The drone walks out of debris that V made, his arm stretched out with the vine starting to spread across N’s arm towards his body, V tried to quickly cut it off but it’s already spread passed N’s arm, V quickly faced the drone and flew towards him.

N fell to one knee and everything slowed down around him, he could feel the sharp vine crawling up his body, many thoughts went through his mind, mostly asking himself what Uzi could be asking him, but she’s not here, she’s lost somewhere probably worried about him, he can’t rely on her in this situation, he has to take action now, show that he can he a leader worth following.

N’s visor shows a bright white X as he yanks his arm back, pulling the drone towards him with his own vine, N turns his other arm into a blade and slashed the drone’s vine arm off before pinning him to the ground with his foot, N then grabs the severed vine on his arm and quickly tears it off which hurt terribly but he’ll endure it, he then picks the drone up by the neck and slams him against the wall of a building before removing the bow of his person.

“I’m sorry for your arm, but you need to listen….” N said while his visor still has the white X on it, “N! V! We’re here!” Said Thad who ran his way here with Lizzy, “What happened?” Asked the worker drone while N’s visor turns back to normal before letting go of the drone who slid down the wall.

“Thad, fix him up and bring him to the bus, we have many questions to ask” N asked as Thad and Lizzy go to check the unknown drone, V walked up to N with her arms crossed, “What’s the plan?” “We must know something, he attacked us thinking we’re someone else, so let’s hope he’s willing to answer” N gave his thoughts as he watched Thad and Lizzy carry the drone.

There’s something happening, and N is starting to worry.

Chapter Text

The search party is in the bus with N and V recovering from the strange encounter they’ve had, the vine drove us unconscious and Thad just repaired the arm N cut off and any other damage that remained.

“So what’s the plan?” Thad asked a bit worried of the situation, “He wakes up and we get him to explain himself and maybe see if he’s seen Uzi” N explained his plan while fixing up his cap and the W.D.F. arm band, V fixed up her glasses and Lizzy was hugging V from behind. The drone woke up in a jolt and found himself in the bus with everyone looking at him, he looked at where his arm was cut off to see it back on him, “I ain’t dead and my arm is back on, so it’s clear that you don’t plan on killing me or you want something” The drone said without a hint of fear, “Who are you, and why did you attack us?” N asked standing between the drone and the others, “My name ain’t important, but since you asked it’s Vincent, but the colony calls me Vinny” Vincent introduced himself as the vine regrew over his repaired arm, “much better…”

“What the hell is with that vine!? It’s freaky!” Called out Lizzy who hid behind V as Vincent stared, “My entire colony is a bunch of outdated worker drones” he looks at Thad and Lizzy, “You two have a long life to look forward to, but drones like me don’t last after 15, we all slowly died out and it was the end of us, until nature herself gave us a gift” Vincent placed a hand on his chest “Mother nature gave us a chance, seeds grew inside our cores and sprouted beautiful life inside our bodies, it was because of this gift that our cores can continue to persist as long as they have” Vincent spoke while looking at the vine that hugged his arm, “the colony found an old bunker that was used to experiment on plants, we turned the place into a greenhouse as a safe haven for us” Vincent continues with his hand resting on his chest feeling his core beat in his body.

“To answer your other question, I attacked you because I saw two murder drones accompanying worker drones, I assumed you going to kill them so I attacked” Vincent explained “with a bow and arrow!?” V added with a mix of disbelief and annoyance.

“Not all of us in the colony can fight, most of us are pacifist, and for those who can make their own weapons with what nature provides” Vincent said before looking at N, “Now my turn, who are you and why aren’t you murdering like other murder drones?” V takes a step forward but N stops her, “I’m Serial Designation N, and this is V, we are a part of a search team that looking for—“ N is interrupted by Vincent’s vine getting into a whipping state “That didn’t answer my question, why aren’t you murdering like the others?” Vincent’s voice has a hint of anger.

N sighed in defeat before speaking “Yes, me and V did kill many worker drones years ago, and we probably would kill more if it wasn’t for Uzi” N’s demeanor softened “Now she’s missing, and we’re trying to look for her, she’s a worker drone with long purple hair” N gave a description which caused Vincent to jolt a bit, “So that’s who I found outside our bunker” Vincent soon regretted speaking as N immediately got broke personal space, “You found her!? Where is she!?” N asked completely focused on Uzi’s location.

Vincent lightly pushed N away from him, “She’s with the colony, when I left I found her crashed against the side of a building, I brought her in to let the chief take care of her before leaving, I don’t know if she’s awake since she looked beat up” Vincent explained before pulling out a map, “I can tell you four aren’t a threat to the colony, so I’ll let you copy my map, I don’t plan on returning for awhile anyway” Thad grabbed Vincent’s map and started copying it, after a moment the plant drone left the bus after the map was finished, N walked off the bus seeing Vincent pull one of the flowers off his torso, “Show them this so you won’t get locked out, I hope you reunite with Uzi” Vincent gave N the flower, its a white rose from the looks of it.

Everything is ready and Thad started the bus, N quickly got on top of it and sat down on the roof of the bus while Vincent watched the bus drive away, if nature desired they’d see him again.

Uzi is tired of walking, she’s been walking for hours and doesn’t know if she’s going the right way, if there even is a right way.

The walking would soon be interrupted when Uzi saw something unbelievable, it looked like a crashed pod laying on its side, Uzi was curious before a thought popped in her head, she ran up to the pod and examined it to noticed one of the thrusters has a hole in it.

“What happened here?” Uzi placed her hand against the metal, it’s very sturdy… or at least it was, Uzi tried opening the hatch but it was jammed shut, she gave it a bit more force and managed to open it enough to crawl inside, after some effort Uzi managed to squeeze inside the pod, it was dark but Uzi’s visor made a decent flashlight, she looked around feeling strangely cozy.

Uzi examines some of the machinery to see if anything works, so far a lot of it doesn’t until Uzi managed to turn on one of the monitors, it lights up but it’s difficult to see what’s on screen but audio plays.

“This is Uzi Doorman, and finally I got this to work after several attempts!”

Uzi is caught off guard by the familiar voice, so her last name is “Doorman”? It sounds right she thinks.

“The solver really did a number on the pod, but nothing I can’t fix!”

Uzi listened to the recording, she looked around the damaged pod, she guessed that it got destroyed again after she apparently repaired it, but by what?

“It’s going to take awhile, but I’m sure I’ll have it done before—“

The audio cuts off as the screen breaks and sparks fly out causing Uzi to get back, “Damn it, why did it have to break now!?” She examines the monitor but unlike herself in the recording she doesn’t know how to fix it, maybe she left a log book or something.

Uzi tried looking through a few of the mechanisms in the pod but end up opening a hatch above her that released a mattress which fell on top of her, “AH!!!!” She yells out before pushing the mattress off, after an hour of searching she couldn’t find anything else, this pod must have something that’ll help with her memories, but it’s busted.

“This is the only lead I have, so until I figure out how to fix it I best make this a home for me to rest at, it’ll be nice to actually get some sleep” Uzi thought out loud before setting things up to get herself comfortable, she can’t give up on this pod, not when it holds answers.

Uzi laid down on the mattress and used her make shift cloak as a blanket, she slowly gets comfortable as [SLEEP MODE] appears on her visor.

Hopefully Uzi can fix the pod and get some answers.

Chapter Text

The bus drove at a decently fast pace, they just had a big lead to Uzi and N wanted to be certain that she is okay, the drive itself is filled with hopeful remarks, they’ll reunite with Uzi, get her home and treat any possible injuries. The bus soon stopped once Thad found the bunker on the map, the door is covered in vines and flowers which surprised the group a bit despite knowing it has a colony of nature loving drones.

“I guess this is it, I’ll check the door” N said as he got off the bus while everyone else stayed on, N got to the door with the white rose and was about to knock on the door but is interrupted when he hears something land behind him, he turns back to see two murder drones which immediately caught him off guard as he quickly puts the rose away.

“Who are you? A new guy?” One of them asked, she has a feminine look with her hair in a bun and a pair of goggles above her visor, “Is he supposed to replace F?” Said the other drone who has more of N’s build but with bigger arms, “I could care if F came back, he had to much pride which got him killed” the goggle drone said before looking back at N, “who are you? Tell me….”

N stood thinking of a plan, maybe he could play along for a bit, but then again they might notice he isn’t built the same as them because of the upgrades Uzi gave him, “I’m… Serial Designation N! Nice to meet you!” N said giving two thumps up with [GREETINGS] lit up on his visor.

“N huh? I’m D, and the brute next to me is Q” The drone now known as D explained as Q gave a quiet wave, N kindly waved back, “So did the company send you as F’s replacement?” D asked with curiosity on N’s sudden appearance, N however didn’t know how to answer since he doesn’t want to cause unnecessary fights, after all Uzi could be in the bunker just waiting for him, she’s probably injured from the fall and he can’t risk her getting in any more danger.

“N! That’s enough!” Said V who landed between N and the other drones, she stood with a crazed look like she just tore open a worker drone, “I’m sorry to bother, but N here likes to explore places where he ain’t supposed to” V said before looking back at N while putting a finger over her lips, N nods and notices Lizzy standing on top of the bus looking at her phone, what is she doing!?

V continues to talk to the murder drones while N tried his best to not look suspicious, Lizzy watches from the top of the bus before putting her away and pulling out some knives that glowed a pink color, she threw it and hits D straight in the back, V follows it up by turning her hand into blades and cutting her head off, Q is taken by surprise and jumps back with his wings out, he looks back just in time to dodge another knife thrown by Lizzy.

“The hell!? What is this!?” Q called out while flying in the air, his arms turn into flame throwers and started shooting fire at Lizzy who gets tackled by V to avoid the flames, Q turns towards N and dives down towards him, N quickly braced himself as Q grabbed N by the head and took him up to the sky, meanwhile, D’s head finally regenerated as she got up with a headache, only to be met with Thad’s bat pointing at her.

N is taken high up in the sky with D’s iron grip over his face, N tries struggling before turning his hand into a gun and shooting D in the stomach, surprisingly the bullet bounces off but still gives N a moment to escape D’s grip. “We all have a job to do, and you attack one of your own!?” D calls out as the two are flying high in the sky, “The company doesn’t care what happens to you, we don’t have to do this!” N tries to reason with D but that wasn’t working as N was punched hard by D, cracking his visor and N was sent down towards the ground nearly hitting the bus, D was about to continue his assault but V intercepts and tries stabbing the murder drone but the blade bounces off but V manages to kick him away.

Meanwhile Thad is blocking the blades hands from Q with his bat, the murder drone is getting annoyed and switches to flame throwers on both hands, Thad panics but as the fire is shot towards him he’s yanked back out of the way by Lizzy who throws another knife at Q who barely dodges out of the way. “Thanks for the save!” Thad thanked Lizzy as she only sighed “Just get ready to fight” said Lizzy as the two worker drones face against Q.

N got back up after his visor healed to see V struggling against D who’s tanking every hit with little to no damage, “We’re going to be overwhelmed at this rate, we need something with severe power” At that moment a lightbulb appears on N’s visor as he quickly heads over to the bus. V has done all she could but her arsenal can’t do enough damage, and even if she could do any damage it’ll just heal over after awhile, this guy is built for taking hits, V kept trying to cut or shoot at D but it did nothing as V barely dodged out of the way by one of D’s fists, “V! Keep his attention!” N calls out as he leaves the bus holding Uzi’s railgun trying to figure out how to start it up.

Thad and Lizzy meanwhile are teaming up against Q to hopefully end this battle quickly, Lizzy stayed a good distance away and threw her knives at Q while Thad kept attacking up close with his bat, Q decides to fly up in the air and start shooting at the two, Thad does his best to dodge and get out of the way of the bullets while Lizzy hides behind a nearby tree avoiding the bullets, just as Thad had a moment to recuperate, Q dives down and tries to cut his head off but Thad quickly swings his bat and clashes with Q causing both of them to recoil backwards, Thad’s bat started glowing with red lines as he let out laugh.

“Thanks for the charge!” Thad said confidently as Q instinctively flies back up in the air not knowing why, “I can’t let that bat hit me!” Q says to herself in a panic as Thad pulls back with his bat opening up before throwing it at Q who barely gets out of the way, “You missed!” Q calls out before a few of Lizzy’s knives hit her in the torso, Thad puts his gloved hand out pulling the bat towards him while Q attempts to pull the knives out of her body, during this she turns back to see the bat heading towards her, her visors pops a [?!] before the bat hits her directly in the head before letting out all the kinetic energy in a huge bright firework in the sky, “HAHA!!! You’re out!!” Thad cheers while Lizzy watches noticing pieces of the murder drone fall onto the ground.

Meanwhile the large firework explosion can be seen as by V is trying her best to keep D still for N to fire the railgun, she doesn’t have any weapon to slow this drone down, it isn’t until she thought of a risky plan, she notices N finally powering up the gun and quickly gets behind D and locks her arms around him, “What are you!? Let go!!” D complained as V braces herself, “N! Fire!!” She calls out as N aims the railgun at D not seeing V behind him, N fires the gun as the green bean hits both of the drones.

When the smoke clears N sees D completely destroyed, “Yes! That did it! Great work V! V?” N calls out before noticed V’s headless body, he panics and runs over to her realizing what happened, he starts to panic and immediately worries what Lizzy is going to do to him when she find him with V’s headless body, luckily the panic dies down once N notices V’s head regenerating back, “OW!!!!” V calls out in pain while griping her head “I want to both thank you for firing the shot, and kick your ass because of how much that hurt!” V complained as she slowly got up and heads over to the best to lean against, “just hurry up and get that door open…” V says as N nods before pulling out the white rose.

“Uzi, I really hope you’re here….” N tells himself before heading over to entrance of the bunker.

Chapter Text

N walked up to the door of the bunker holding the white rose, he looked back at V who’s keeping distance, “You’re not coming?” “I’ll stay and wait for Thad and Lizzy, we’ll be waiting for you out here” V explain as N nodded and went to the door, at first he was confused on why he needed the rose, until a small hatch opened to reveal a visor poking through.

“Who are you?” The drone behind the hatch said before N showed the white rose, the hatch closed and the bunker door soon opened, N didn’t know what to expect but he was caught off guard when he sees all the vines and other plants. “Whoa….” He didn’t know where this was going to lead to but he went inside and spoke to the drone that looked terrified at the sight of N, the flowers on the drone’s neck were shaking, “Wait! Don’t panic, I’m not a disassembly drone! Well not anymore…. I’m looking for someone, and I’m told she is here” N explained the best he could.

“I’m looking for someone named Uzi Doorman, I was told she could be here” N asked and the drone called down, the flowers bloomed brightly, “I’ll get the chief, she could help you” the drone left and N stood there at the entrance, after a moment the drone returned, “She’ll see you, just head on down the hall and you’ll find her” N nodded and went further inside the bunker, he noticed the drones going about their time making sure the plants are taken cared for, soon N entered a large room with a huge tree in the middle of the room, flowers spread across the floor with perfectly green grass, N is caught off guard as he isn’t used to seeing something so beautiful on a planet riddled with death and ruin.

“Beautiful ain’t it?” N heard as he looks over to see who he assumes is the chief of the drones here, she has long grey hair and flowers sprouting out of the cracks of her body, “I’m Ophelia, it’s nice to have a guest once in awhile, although I’m surprised by what I’m seeing, you resemble those murder drones” Ophelia’s words carried almost a motherly tone, N stood inn silence for a moment before speaking, “I’m N, and I’ve been told that I could find Uzi here” He could feel his core beating in his body, he’s so close, he has to be.

“I’m sorry, but she isn’t here” Ophelia answered in a sorry tone as N is shocked, “What!? Why isn’t she here?” He asked with desperation, “She was severely damaged when she was found, but she recovered remarkably which of course surprised me, the two of us went to the place she was found until those murder drones attacked us, she told me to run and I did, when she returned to the bunker she was covered in oil” Ophelia explained as N started piecing together events, “When we went to investigate where we found her, she found a ring” N froze at those words, he reached for his pocket knowing he lost the ring, if Uzi has it, then what was her answer? Surely she knows it from him, right?

“Ophelia noticed N going still and she smiled, “I see, you must be the one who married her!” N blushed brightly that caused a bit of overheating as he quickly corrected things, “N..No no! We aren’t married! At least…. Not yet” N explained and Ophelia was surprised, “Oh, I’m sorry! I shouldn’t assume, but I do hope you manage to find Uzi, I hope Mother Nature guides you” Ophelia said as N quietly nodded, he looked at the massive tree before turning back and leaving the bunker.

N left the bunker to see everyone waiting outside the bus as Thad walks up to him, “So is Uzi here?” N stood in silence before shaking his head, “She already left, we’re at a dead end at this point, she could be anywhere…” N stood there with no idea what to do, “Looks like we’re going to be roaming around until we find her” V said as she turns to head into the bus, “The sun is almost up, we should cover the bus and rest” N said as he got in the bus, “I’ll block the the back with cloth so you and V can rest without the sun killing you, I’ll find a good place to park the bus” Thad said as he and Lizzy get on the bus.

An hour later the sun is up as V and N were in the back of the bus, windows and the path to the front were covered with thick pieces of cloth so the sun wouldn’t reach the two, V was already sleeping but N had trouble, he’s worried about Uzi even more both with her safety and the fact that she has the ring he planned on giving her, his memories kept replaying “what ifs” in his head, like Uzi actively looking for N, or her unsure about N’s proposal.

One thing’s clear however, he must find her no matter what.

Chapter Text

Uzi found herself in a snowy blizzard, she could barely move her body as she felt herself slowly freezing, she could hear whispers of people talking, they felt familiar, soon something lands in front of her causing her to almost lose her balance, she felt her boots digging into the snow as she looked forward to see something that froze her in place. A drone is in front of her, but she couldn’t make out any details due to it being covered in shadows, it’s taller than her so immediately she felt threatened, but for some reason despite the cold, her core is heating up at the sight of this drone, she noticed the ring is gone and she starts to panic since it’s the only thing she that’s connected to who she might be.

Uzi notices the shadow drone taking a step closer, its hands turn into sharp blades as it reaches for Uzi who tries to take a step back but she couldn’t move. The shadow drone’s blades hand rested against Uzi’s cheek which made her calm down, she wanted say something but those words wouldn’t come out, the shadow drone finally spoke which only confused Uzi on its words.

“Uzi….”

Uzi jolted awake, she her visor showing many warning notices before turning back to normal, what did she see? That drone, it felt familiar but she couldn’t think of a name, she looked at the ring on her finger, could that drone in her dream be the one who gifted this ring? If that’s the case, then why did her dream show it with bladed hands. Uzi got up from the mattress trying to understand her dream, “Who was that?l it felt so real” Uzi looked at the ring again, and a thought popped in her head, whatever that was she can’t focus on it right now, she needs to search the pod for any other clues about who she might be.

This of course was difficult, most of the pod is hard to navigate due to the damage but Uzi managed to move around decently, she searches any shelves or drawers to hopefully find something useful that could give her more of a clue in her identity.

Uzi sat down on the mattress recalling any clues she’s knows of herself, “Okay, my name is Uzi Doorman, strange last name but it’s my name, I apparently fixed this pod before after a battle against this “Solver” whatever that is, and I have a engagement ring from some who I assume I have a healthy relationship with” Uzi tries to think of any other hints but nothing would come to mind. She got up from the mattress and continued her search, but it led to nothing, the trying to identify herself is difficult when she barely has anything to work with, but her thoughts would be interrupted when she hears what sounds like a vehicle outside of the pod. “Jackpot! A broken down pod! We can definitely use the metal off it!” Uzi listens closely to the voice, she could see sunlight shining outside so she puts on her makeshift cloak and confronts whoever’s outside.

Uzi manages to exit the pod and confronts whoever’s trying to scrap her “home” but what she didn’t expect was a couple of tall drones covered up just like her, “Who are you!?” Uzi asked as the two drones were shocked by Uzi’s sudden appearance, “Hold on! We aren’t a threat, we didn’t know someone was here” One of the drones said as he noticed how Uzi is avoiding the sun with her robe, “Are you a disassembly drone?” He asked as Uzi was confused, she shook her head while the drone did his best to scan Uzi but nothing would pop up.

“I guess not… sorry for assuming” The two drones turned to leave but Uzi called out for them. “Who exactly are you two? And what did you plan on doing to the pod?” The question hung in the air as the two drones stopped and quietly spoke to one another before turning to face Uzi, the two drones stood in the shade of a nearby tree and took the hoods of their cloaks, revealing the two to be murder drones with the guy having his hair tied up in a bun and the lady having long hair that went down to her shoulders.

“If you are a worker drone then we’re sorry if our presence scares you” The male drone said as his companion added “We aren’t going to hurt you! We’re pacifists!” She added in a slight panic trying to explain to the best of her ability to not cause a misunderstanding. Uzi stood there confused but she can’t afford a fight in the middle of the day, “Pacifistic Murder Drones?”Uzi said as the feminine drone spoke up, “Yes, me and Zack here abandoned our other member while they were sleeping, we’ve been living on our own for a year now” her speech softened a bit when mentioning her companion by name.

“You two are very open despite just meeting me” Uzi said as she didn’t understood the two drones, Zack spoke up after putting on the hood of his cloak, “We’re only trying to explain ourselves to hopefully avoid conflict, Abby and I only want you to feel safe” Zack explained as Uzi lowered her guard a bit, “What are you doing out here anyway? Are you living in that pod?” Abby asked and Uzi didn’t know if it was okay to explain her lack of memories so she gave a half truth. “I’m trying to gather some information inside but the system is broken and I can’t fix it” Uzi said and Abby jolted up “Oh! I can fix it!” She jogged towards Uzi but Zack grabbed her by the hood of her cloak, he pulled the hood up over her head and Abby jogged towards Uzi again, “Just let me have a look and I promise any information available will be yours!” Abby smiled and Uzi didn’t know how to react at the sudden offer to help, Zack laughed a bit before speaking, “She loves to fix things, I saw her fix an old vehicle out in a snow covered city” Uzi stared at the two thinking on what to do before allowing them to help.

[A Couple of Hours Later]

“……. Done!!!” Abby said with confidence as the monitors and console started working, Uzi was shocked that the murder drone fixed it, she got close to the console and was hesitant at first to see the video, she hasn’t seen herself at all since she woke up with no memory, so if the video did start to work then this’ll be the first time she’s seen herself.

Uzi played a recording and a video played showing herself with shorter hair and a black beanie, in the recording she’s seen in a destroyed pod looking accomplished with what she’s done.

“This is Uzi Doorman, and finally I got this to work after several attempts!”

“A worker drone was fixing up this pod?” Zack said as Abby looked amazed, “Incredible! I didn’t think it’d be possible!” Abby added with a smile.

“The solver really did a number on the pod, but nothing I can’t fix!”

Zack and Abby froze, Uzi didn’t understood why but their tones shifted to fear, but the recording continued to play.

“It’s going to take awhile, but I’m sure I’ll have it done before too long, but I’d figure I’d make a few recordings to show off my incredible skills!”

Uzi continued to watch the recording as her recorded self in the video started to work on the console, in the background of the video a tail can be seen as a murder drone with a pilots cap appeared with a bright yellow X on his visor, Uzi felt her core sink as she watched the recording, the murder drone got close and pounced onto Uzi in the recording.

“AAHHHH!!!!”

Zack and Abby looked away expecting that the recording was going to be graphic but what they didn’t expect was the sound of laughing as the recording showed the murder drone holding Uzi in a tight hug while Uzi tried to push him off.

“N! Let go! I’m in the middle of a recording!”

“But I want to hug my girlfriend! Let me love you!”

“Bite me! Let go!”

Uzi was shocked at what she was seeing, the recording showed herself blushing as N gave her a tight hug, the recording ended and paused once Uzi managed to reach for the console during N’s bear hug. Zack and Abby were confused but glad nothing violent happened, Uzi looked at her ring and the paused recording of N, was this the drone that was in her dream?

“Wow! Didn’t expect that, what a twist!” Abby said while Zack took a breath before noticing Uzi staring at the screen, “Hey, are you okay?” Zack asked a bit concerned but Uzi had a tiny smile at the sight of the recording, “I’m fine, just happy” Uzi responded as she’s happy to finally have proof of her life before her memory loss.

“Hey…” Zack said calmly, “Me and Abby have a camp nearby, if you’d like you can join us as a traveling partner” Zack offered but Uzi shook her head, “I’m good, I’m sure whatever story you two are apart of shouldn’t involve me, thanks for helping me” Uzi answered as she continued to stare at the monitor, Zack wasn’t to be insistent but Abby pulled him away, the two drones left while Uzi finally took off her cloak.

“N… I’m going to find you, I hope you can help me” Uzi said to herself as she now has a new goal in mind.

Chapter Text

The sun is bright and Thad has been driving for a good amount of hours, V and N are sleeping in the back of the bus with large pieces of cloth blocking the sun, Lizzy is on her phone texting her friends back home. Thad watches the road as he avoids any potholes and debris, none of the roads have been clear but Thad’s a decent enough driver to make it a somewhat smooth ride, but sadly that moment would be interrupted when he has to slow down to a complete stop.

The road is blocked by a few makeshift vehicles, there’s a group of drones holding a bunch of spiked bats and metal pipes, some of the vehicles have spikes on the bumpers, it’s clear to Thad that they aren’t friendly, sadly due to the sun being out he can’t ask V or N for help. Thad hesitantly got out of the bus, Lizzy followed behind with a annoyed look as the two walked up to the group of drones, one of them had a broken bike helmet painted on with fire and skulls.

“Looks like a couple of workers alone on the road!” One of the drone’s said as he holds a metal bat, “if you want to pass that’s not going to happen…” the drone said as he points the bat at Thad who doesn’t flinch, after all he’s seen in his life a simple threat doesn’t faze him anymore, but he doesn’t want a fight since he hasn’t slept in awhile, “Can we please pass by? We’re looking for someone and it’s important” Thad explained but the drone doesn’t flinch, “this world is ruthless, you either hide, fight, or die” the drone said and the group behind him cheered.

Thad looked up at the sun before letting out a tired sigh, “let’s go Lizzy” Thad turns and heads back to the bus with Lizzy looking annoyed, when the two get into the bus Lizzy starts complaining, “Seriously Thad!? You’re giving up? We have to find Uzi for N!” Thad started up the bus, “Lizzy, you and I haven’t slept in a while, we can’t afford a fight, besides….” Thad pulled on the gear shift, “I didn’t say we were going back” Lizzy looked confused until Thad hits the gas and ramming the bus against one of the drone’s vehicles, the group roars in rage by Thad’s attack, but before they could get into their vehicles they notice Thad’s bat on the ground glowing a bright blue color, “Hwy idiot! You dropped your bat!” The drone calls out before the bat lets out a kinetic shockwave that hits everyone in the group, making them go limp as their systems are forced to reboot.

“Outplayed” Thad said with a smile, he reached out the bus window with his gloved hand and his bat returned to his hand, Lizzy was stunned by the strategy that Thad pulled off, “I’m looking for a place for the both of us to sleep, N will wake us up when the sun falls” Thad said a bit tired as he continued to drive along the road.

Now that the console and monitors were fixed, Uzi’s been looking through the files for hours, sadly none of it had any information about herself but updates on when she was fixing the pod, she’s looked through other recordings which only showed Uzi’s process on the pod, it’s starting to make her understands machinery more so that’s a plus at least.

Uzi searched through recordings to help her understand more about the pod and other pieces of machinery, but there’s one file that’s labeled [TO UZI] it was the only one titled different from the others which only had dates and times, she started the recording and it showed N by himself in the pos setting up the recording, when he gets into frame Uzi notices that he isn’t wearing his coat, which made her heat up at the sight, but besides that she noticed his visor was glowing a different color, it was white now instead of yellow like in previous recordings.

“Hey Uzi! Still trying to get used to the upgrades you’ve given my body”

N clearly smiles in the recording but he’s in slight discomfort from what Uzi could tell, his chest has a lot of cuts that were slowly healing, the symbol on his chest was a mix between a worker and a disassembly drones, it glowed white as well.

“It’s hard to move, at least right now until I get used to it”

N’s smile grew wider before pulling out a new coat, he put it on and showed off the W.D.F. Armband.

“Your dad was kind enough to let me work in the bunker to make up for all the killing, I think I’m doing a great job!”

Uzi continued to watch, her core was beating in her chest as she wished she could remember her time with N before this recording, but she could probably take a few guesses.

“So…. The real reason is recording this is because…”

N blushed in the recording looking nervous, Uzi is confused by this

“I’m going to do my best at this job, and hopefully after so long I’ll be able to give you something I think would look good on you”

N smiles again, Uzi thinks for a moment before looking at the ring on her finger, she needed to see him so she can get the help she needs with her memory, suddenly she faintly hears what sounded like an explosion from outside, she left the pod with her cloak on to hopefully investigate the source of that sound.

It took a few hours, and the sun was starting to set but Uzi found herself next to what looked to be a roadblock, but something crashed straight through it, there are a bunch of drones on the ground stiff, “what happened?” Uzi asked no one while she looked around the roadblock, she could tell that the buffering drones didn’t appear friendly since their outfits practically screamed antagonistic, so she didn’t want to stay for when they wake up.

Uzi noticed tire tracks that she assumed belong to what broke the roadblock, if they rammed through it then surely there must be some damage, Uzi thinks for a moment before following the tire tracks.

Maybe she’ll discover another bunker of drones like the nature drones.

The sun was setting and Uzi was recalling the recordings that she watched in the pod, she’s had so many thoughts of finding N she never really thought about what to do, since she has no memory of her time with him so what would she do if she met him?

Uzi continued to follow the tire tracks for what felt like hours, surely the owner of the tracks had to stop eventually. “I hope I can meet him soon, for all I know maybe he’s looking for me” Uzi commented to herself before seeing a lone bus parked in an alleyway, there’s large pieces of cloth that was covering up the back of the bus so Uzi decided to get a closer look, “a bus rammed through that road block?! Wow…”

Uzi got near the bus and peeked in one of the windows, she sees two worker drones in separate seats in sleep mode, Uzi was about to get inside before hearing footsteps in coming from the back of the bus. Uzi instinctively hides out of sight outside the bus, she wanted to peek a bit but didn’t want to risk getting spotted so she stayed out of sight, “Thad, wake up” the voice sounded feminine which made Uzi think of a librarian, “Hmm? Oh, hey V, can I sleep a little longer?” A masculine voice is heard which Uzi guessed is Thad while V must be the other voice.

“Shit, is there a murder drone in there?” Uzi quietly said as she slowly moved to the back of the bus, “What happened earlier? I felt the bus hit something” V asked as Thad could be heard getting up from the seat, “Drove through a roadblock made by a group of drones, I knocked them all out with my bat, are we continuing the search?” Uzi eavesdrop on the conversation and reached the back of the bus, she quietly opened the emergency back door to the bus and managed to get in, what she was met with was another murder drone who was still sleeping in one of the seats, Uzi got close out of curiosity, and the moment her visor got a look at the drone her visor expressed shock.

Uzi felt a sharp pain in her shoulder, everything around her changed as she found herself in a hallway of a bunker, it felt cold as she saw the same shadowy drone from her dream, its hand turns into a blade and stabs Uzi in the shoulder pinning her against the wall, what was she seeing? What was she experiencing? The pain in her shoulder gets worse as she wants to scream in pain but she couldn’t, she looked to her right and saw another drone covered in shadows, it looked terrified as it sees Uzi and her situation, Uzi tried reaching for the drone but she’s way to far, “Help…. Please…” Uzi quietly said in pain, the scared drone watched before taking a step away as a large door slams shut.

Uzi fell to her knees, the hood of her cloak falling over her head, what was that!? What’s going on!? She grips her head with both hands and rushes out of the bus without thinking, this causes V to arrive noticing someone leaving the bus. V chases after the hooded figure and it didn’t take long for her to catch up as she managed to tackle the hooded drone, V turned her arm into a blade and pointed it at the drone’s neck, that’s when she saw Uzi’s face which caught her off guard.

“Uzi!?” V said in shock, she didn’t expect to see Uzi, the person everyone’s been looking for, their search is over, but something’s wrong…. Uzi’s shaking and actively trying to move her neck away from the blade, Uzi’s terrified of her. “Get off me!!!” Uzi yells loudly as she struggles under V’s grip, this confused V more as she turned her hand back to normal before trying to examine Uzi’s face, this made Uzi panic as she struggles more, “Uzi! Hold still!” “Get off!!” The two struggled and it led to Uzi pushing her hand out making the solver symbol appear around V’s arm and throwing her far away off of Uzi, this didn’t help Uzi’s panicked state since she wasn’t aware of what she just did, she looked at her hands with confusion and soon she felt her core pulse heavily in her body, she felt the pain in her shoulder again and her visor was starting to glitch out as she goes into a panic.

Dark purple fleshy wings burst from her back as she yells out in pain, her visor glitches as she struggles to control herself, she’s finding herself in that hallway again feeling the pain in her shoulder, “No!!! Stop it!!!” Uzi calls out not sure who she’s speaking to but it felt like someone was there, soon her arms went limp as her visored showed a purple X, she giggled like crazy and flew high into the sky.

V lands and bounces off the top of the bus waking everyone up who was still sleeping, N walked out of the bus to see V on the ground, “V? What happened?” N was confused but he didn’t expect to hear what V had to say, “It’s Uzi, I found her!” Those words made N freeze in place before he spread his wings out, “Where?” N asked surprisingly calm so V got up and spread her wings, “Follow me!” The two quickly got off the ground and flew in the direction where V was thrown from. The two disassembly drones arrived where V last saw Uzi, they actively searched the area trying to find the lost drone, “What even happened?” N asked as he broke down a nearby wall to search a small building, “I don’t know! Uzi was in the bus and ran off when I saw her, I chased after her and managed to get her but she panicked and threw me away with the solver!” V explained her side of things both confused and angry by Uzi’s actions.

A loud roar is heard and the two looked up at the moon with a silhouette of Uzi looking down at them with a purple X on her visor, “oh no….” Said N who was worried about how things were going to go, Uzi dived down towards the two and V turned her arm into a gun to try and shoot Uzi’s wings, Uzi managed to dodge and started spinning in a spiral and tackling V, dragging her across the ground and smashing against the side of a building, Uzi tries to bite into V’s shoulder but N stops her by making her bite onto his bladed hand, he pulls Uzi off of V and tries to pin her down but he easily gets thrown off, “Uzi! Please calm down!” N says trying to calm her down but she’s completely lost it, so he had an idea as a taser appearing out of the palm of his hand hidden from view, Uzi charges towards him and N blocked the attack with his bladed hand, this gave him an open to strike back as he placed the taser on the back of Uzi’s neck and a large electrical surge spread through her body, causing her to roar out in pain as her wings retract into her body and her visor displayed [SLEEP MODE] as Uzi instantly lost consciousness.

V and N took a moment to process what happened, N looked at V with worry, “I haven’t seen her act like that in years, something is clearly wrong, let’s get her to the bus I’ll keep an eye on her as we head back home” N said as she picked Uzi up in his arms, normally he’d be smiling at the sight of her but right now he’s just worried.

The bus went down the road at a decent pace, when Uzi was brought to the bus Thad and Lizzy were shocked to hear what happened, so on the ride home Thad got a spare piece of cloth and gave it to N who wrapped it around Uzi like a burrito, He still carried her in his arms as he sat down at the back of the bus, he didn’t know what to make of the situation, he’s found Uzi and he’s happy that the search is over but he couldn’t help but feel worried, he never saw Uzi act like that since years back at the camp.

“You’re going to hold her like that the whole ride?” N hears V ask, he looks up to see Lizzy standing next to V, her arm around her waste pulling herself close to V as she texted on her phone, “I just want to keep her safe till she wakes up” N replied looking at Uzi’s face as [SLEEP MODE] is shown, V and Lizzy stood there for a moment but soon left N alone with the sleeping Uzi. N held her close, his grip firm but caring as he started to get comfortable in his seat, he missed so her much, he’s so happy that she’s safe, he feels like he could rest properly in awhile.

[LOADING DREAM/MEMORY SEQUENCE]

N was walking through the snow towards the pod, it’s been a week since the fight against the absolute solver and since then things have been a bit rough, but they’ve also been very peaceful, he makes it to the pod and hears someone inside, he quietly enters the pod to see Uzi talking to herself, he sneaks up on her and pounces on her into a tight hug, “AHHH!!! N! Let go!! I’m in the middle of a recording!” Uzi said a bit annoyed but was visibly blushing, “But I want to hug my girlfriend! Let me love you!” N said with a smile as he leaned more into the hug, “Bite me! Let go!!” Uzi said struggling in N’s grip, she managed to hit a button on the console before continuing her struggles.

After a moment, Uzi was leaning into the hug as the two were resting against the wall, “I missed you….” N said not wanting to let go, “It’s only been a day N, besides didn’t you want dad to get you a job in the bunker?” Uzi asked as N nodded, “of course! I want to make up for all the killing that me and V did, plus I’m a hard worker so I don’t mind what job your dad gives me” N finally let go of Uzi and the two stood up, “I just wish everyone wasn’t so scared of me” N expressed his concerns which gave Uzi an idea, “I’m sure you’ll get the trust of everyone, you have Thad and Lizzy’s already” Uzi reassured holding N’s hand, “I’m sure you’ll be a fan favorite” She smiled which made N smile back as the two enjoyed each others company in the pod.

“N wake up!” N jolts awake back in the bus, Uzi still in his arms as V was shaking him awake, “Did something happen?!” N asked confused while looking at V, “Thad needs your help with the bus, he thinks since you were a pilot you could help” V explained while N sat there for a moment, he carefully placed Uzi down on the seat and got up, “please keep a eye on her for me” N asked as he went to check on Thad.

The two drones waited for N’s return, V was looking at the sleeping Uzi with a puzzled look, “What’s with the stare? Did you two have an argument before all of this?” Lizzy asked while on her phone, “No… I’m just confused on why Uzi acted the way she did, she was terrified at the sight of me” V explained her thoughts trying to understand why Uzi acted the way she did, “Well she’s been by herself all this time, plus there’s other murder drones out there so she must’ve mistaken you for a different one” Lizzy said giving a possible reason for Uzi’s actions. N returned to the back of the bus after an hour and sat back down next to Uzi, “The bus should be moving soon” N said to V and Lizzy who sat nearby, and soon the bus started moving once again, at this point Uzi starts to stir which got everyone’s attention, Uzi wakes up feeling constricted as she looked around before seeing N, V, and Lizzy staring at her, her core starts beating like crazy in a panic until her visor locks with N’s and everything starts to calm down.

N and Uzi started at each other for a while, and for once N felt unease by it as he usually said something to break the silence, “Welcome back Uzi! I’m glad you’re awake!” N said expecting Uzi to answer back but she just kept staring at him in her cloth cocoon, she soon lunged at N freeing herself from the cloth and tackled him onto the ground in a hug, this caught everyone off guard cause this was very abnormal behavior from Uzi, who was holding onto N like her life depended on it, N didn’t mind the hug but he  was starting to worry. “Are you okay Uzi? You don’t normally do this….” N’s words caused Uzi to hug tighter, “Let me have this….” Uzi said which only confused the three drones, it took awhile but Uzi did eventually let go of N.

“Well… that was new, and a bit pleasant” N said with a chuckle, Uzi kept staring at him before speaking, “Correct me if I’m wrong, you are N correct?” This made everyone silent, V was speechless, Lizzy actually looked away from her phone, and N looked shocked. “Yes…. That’s my name, Uzi are you okay?” N asked while Uzi was sitting down nervous but had to say something, “I don’t…. It’s just…. Who exactly is everyone here?” Uzi confessed and this led to N pulling her into a hug which she didn’t expect, everyone had a look of worry as they didn’t expect to hear news like that from Uzi of all people, N tightened the hug not wanting to let go.

“Uzi…. What’s the last thing you remember?” V asked and Uzi hesitated to answer but she eventually spoke up, “I woke up in a bunker filled with plants, with drones having flowers and vines sprouting from their bodies” the bus was silent until N spoke up, “Anything before?” He asked but all he got was a slow shake with her head, this is a serious issue, because to the group they’ve saved a long time friend, to N his girlfriend, but to Uzi she must be seeing only strangers.

N let go of the hug and walked further back in the bus, he he had his hands over his face not knowing what to believe of the situation, he’s glad he has her back now, but she has no memory of their time together.

The bus continued its drive, Thad was having a chat with Lizzy and V as the two explained the situation with him. Meanwhile on the back of the bus N and Uzi were sitting together awkwardly, N felt Uzi’s hand rest on his which made him smile a bit but it didn’t last long due to the situation, “Where did you go after that plant bunker? We tried looking for you there but you were gone” N asked hoping to get a clear picture of the situation Uzi’s been in.

“Waking up with no memories, I didn’t know how to feel, I don’t know who I was, who knew me, where I’m from, or what I did.” Uzi’s words had some weight as N listened, “I’m probably a different person from how I’ve been acting, but I want to at least try to learn who I was, so I left that bunker and was told where I was found, I checked the site and I found a small black box with a ring inside it” N froze up, now looking at the ring that Uzi was wearing, she’s been wearing it all this time as he was looking for her. “The note in the box motivated me to try and look for the person I was probably getting married to, I later found a broken pod that I assume was in before I lost my memories, I then saw a recording of me and that’s when I saw you” Uzi went silent before staring at N with a hopeful look, her hands holding onto N’s as she felt her core beat in her body, “Are you the one that wanted to marry me?” Uzi asked and N sat there in silence, he took a good moment to answer but he did nod his head, “Yeah, it took me awhile to get a ring and I was planning on proposing after…. Never mind” N stopped himself from continuing, he didn’t know how to explain things to Uzi now that she has no memories from before.

“Hey, maybe we can find or do something that can trigger a memory? Oh! I have just the thing!” N said with a hopeful tone, he pulled out a duffle bag from under the seat and zipped it open revealing the railgun, Uzi looked at the gun with confusion as N held it up, “You made this, from what you told me it took a long time for you to make it” N explained before handing it over to Uzi, she held the railgun looking puzzled but she did feel the weight of it, suddenly she felt felt a sharp pain in her head as her visor started to glitch out.

[MEMORY FILE RECOVERED]

[FILE NAME: FIRST ENCOUNTER]

Uzi found herself someplace cold, she was holding onto the railgun while one hand rested on her face, she looked around confused. “Where… am I?” Uzi asked herself before looking at the railgun, “It needs a better battery, it blew up during class, wait… what am I saying?” Uzi said trying to understand her own words, she had a goal in mind and a part of her felt annoyed, but why? She walked through the snow while looking around, it was hard to see anything but what she could see was a giant spire made out of drone corpses, she should be terrified by the sight of it, but for some reason she didn’t, she just kept walking towards it with that goal in mind, when she entered the corpse spire she saw the pod, but it looked almost brand new compared to when she last saw it, she was then met by a drone landing on top of the pod, it was covered in shadows but had yellow eyes that turned into an X at the sight of Uzi.

Uzi feels a spark of terror as she notice something glowing green near a pile of debris, she instinctively ran towards it as the shadow drone launched off the pod towards Uzi, she quickly rolls and grabs the glowing green part before attaching it to her railgun, she aims it but the drone’s tail stabs into her  hand before throwing her into a nearby ruined vehicle, Uzi feels a burning sensation in her hand but she endures the pain and quickly aimed her railgun at the shadow drone, she pulled the trigger and the last thing she saw was everything going green.

Uzi gripped her chest while leaning forward in a panic, N gave a worried look as he took away the railgun and placed it against the wall, “Uzi! Are you okay!?” N said in a panic worried about his amnesiac girlfriend, “I’m…. I’m okay…” Uzi responded while feeling her core beat in her chest, her visor was glitching a bit but it soon turned back to normal as she calmed down. “N…. How did we meet exactly?” Uzi asked, curious on how she met him, “Oh? Well… it wasn’t a good first impression, it was years ago back when I was still doing my job as a disassembly drone” N looked hesitant to continue but he didn’t want to lie to her, “there’s this massive corpse spire that Me and my team ended up making, it wasn’t my idea but at the time you arrived to look for a piece for your railgun, I…. Tried to kill you but luckily you managed to land a shot that obliterated my head!” N chuckled at the memory as Uzi listened closely while recalling what she just experienced, when she thought of the show drone in both her dream and whatever she experienced earlier, is that shadow drone in her head actually N?

“Even though our meeting was off to a bad start, it led to the two of us becoming good friends to a couple later in our lives” N slowly placed his hand over Uzi’s before lightly gripping it, “Uzi, I promise to help you recover your memory in any way possible, and to give you a proper proposal once this is all over” N chuckled at the last part, Uzi blushed a bit but smiled at N gripping his hand, “Thank you N….” Uzi said feeling surprisingly calm about things.

Thad focused on the road as he drove passed some bumps and holes, he looked at the rear view mirror to see Lizzy on her phone while trapped in a sleeping V’s arms. N and Uzi are leaning against one another sleeping, Thad was glad to be on the way back to the bunker, while he enjoyed having a bit of action and excitement, he wanted to return home and do a couple of activities, maybe he could be a couch for a sports team?

Sadly things didn’t want to be as calm as he wanted, because when he looked at the side view mirrors he saw a familiar vehicle that was used in the roadblock that he drove through, the vehicle got closer to the bus as it’s a truck painted red and had sharp pieces of debris on the front of it as makeshift spikes, the truck got close and the drone driving signaled Thad to pull over, Thad sighed and complied as he slowed the bus down and stopped, “Hey, what’s going on?” Asked Lizzy who’s still trapped in V’s arms, “The drones from that roadblock are back, I’ll take care of it you just hang tight.” Thad said before getting off the bus, Lizzy tried to go after him but V’s grip is too tight so Lizzy just sighed and got back on her phone.

Thad got off the bus and the first thing he’s met with is a group of drones wearing leather and spikes, some of them have skull helmets while carrying weapons, one of them walks up to Thad, he has very bulky looking armor on with pieces of it possibly from shoulder pads that football players wear, the drone took off his skull helmet to reveal his red hair and orange visor, “So you’re the guy who drove through my gang with a bus?” The drone asked, his tone almost in a threatening manner, Thad stood his ground and nodded.

“I’ll admit you have guts, I’d normally ask you to join my gang but you’ve really caused alot of drama, so I’m going to break you” the drone claimed as he unholsters a makeshift battle axe with pieces of a street sign making up part of the axe itself, “any last words before I leave you out here for the murder drones?” The drone said with a cocky smile, Thad readied his bat in response before speaking, “what’s your name?” He asks as the drone chuckles, “It’s Law” Thad aimed his bat at Law, “I’m Thad, and I’m going to hit a home run with your head” Law laughed at Thad’s words while holding his axe in front of him with both hands, “This is going to be fun!” Law announced as his gang get out of the way of the upcoming battle.

Thad and Law stood a good distance away from one another, they both gripped their weapons respectfully as one of the gang members got into their vehicle and revved the engine, the gang watches with anticipation and soon the battle begins. Law jumps up and aims straight for Thad’s head, who quickly used his bat to block the attack, but the force behind it got him down to one knee, Law smiled as he kept hitting Thad’s bat over and over to try and break through the worker drone’s defenses, this led to Thad’s bat to charge up with kinetic energy making it glow a light blue color before it burst out kinetic energy knocking Law back a good distance.

“So you have a few tricks up your sleeves” Law says before continuing his assault, Thad blocks the attack and guides the axe with his bat leading it to hit the ground, this gave Thad a moment to land a hit on Law’s chest, knocking him back in result. Law quickly recovers before standing up straight, Thad notices Law’s visor glitching for a split second, “That bat of yours, whatever it’s made of it’ll be mine once I tear it off your body” Law charges forward, Thad stood his ground and readied to block another attack, but Law stomps his foot right in front of Thad before swinging upwards with the axe, Thad tries to block but the clash causes him to lose grip on his bat, knocking it away a good distance.

Thad looks back to see his bat hit the ground, he looks back at Law who’s already swinging his axe aiming to cleave Thad in two as the blade is aimed at Thad’s chest, everything slows down as there didn’t seem to be a way to avoid the attack, he can’t reach his bat and it would take to long for it to return with his glove, so his only option is to intercept the attack.

Thad grabbed the axe’s handle with his other hand on the blade making him lose a bit of oil from his hand, the two struggle against one another before Thad manages to jab the blade of the axe into Law’s shoulder. Law yells out in pain making the gang that was watching react with shock and surprise, Law takes a few steps back before removing the blade from his shoulder as he fall on one knee in pain, Thad picks his bat up while taking a breath, he throws his bat at Law who blocks it with his axe, the bat bounces off the blade before returning to Thad’s hand which confused everyone in the gang including Law, the bat is thrown again and Law blocks it once again, this kept happening over and over until the bat starts glowing a red color, Law gets up annoyed of the situation, “I don’t know what kind of tricks you’re pulling, but it’s over for you now!” Law powers through the pain and charges forward, Thad does the same as his bat glows a brighter red, the moment his bat clashes against the axe all the kinetic energy explodes from the bat, knocking everyone including Thad back a good distance leaving a small crater from where the clash happened.

After a moment, Thad gets up as the dust settles, his arms shaking from the impact of the clash, the dust fades and Law can be seen with his axe in pieces, he gets up and starts limping towards Thad, “You think you can beat me that easily? The roads are mind, and you are going to pay for breaking my axe!” Law’s anger towards Thad was followed by the cheers from his gang, but all of that changes once he sees a figures standing on top of the bus with a glowing yellow X on its visor, “It’s a murder drone!! Drive!!!” Law calls out as he and his gang get in their vehicles before driving away in a panic, Thad looks back at the bus to see V standing behind him.

“Mind explaining what that loud explosion was that woke me up?” V sounded tired but also slightly annoyed from having her nap interrupted, Thad only sighs before laying back down on the ground.

“It’s…. Complicated….” Thad said tired from the fight.

Chapter Text

Due to the fight Thad had with the gang leader, Lizzy had to take over with driving the bus, Thad had to get V’s help with the injury on his hand which was shaking from the results of the fight.

“So you drove through a roadblock that was made by a gang of drones whose leader you just fought against?” V recapped trying to get the full picture, “You forgot to mention that I won” Thad added sounding a bit proud of himself. Uzi looked at Thad’s bat curiously, “I built this for you?” Uzi asked both curious and amazed, “Yeah, you built it some time after the world nearly ended” Thad chuckled while Uzi looked confused, “The world nearly ended?” She asked curious which got N’s attention, “It’s a long story, but you’re pretty much a hero Uzi” N gave a proud smile while the idea of being some kind of hero baffled Uzi, “What life did I live!?” Uzi asked herself.

Uzi looks out the window and starts noticing snow falling, is she close to her home? Maybe she’ll remember more when she sees her room or any family she might have.

“We’ll be home soon Uzi, I’ll show you around and maybe your mom can help you regain your memories” N said as he sat next to Uzi in the bus, he placed a hand on Uzi’s hand that has the ring on, “Let me hold onto the ring for now, I’ll return it when I do a proper proposal once your memories are back” N offered waiting for Uzi’s response, Uzi sat there in thought before shaking her head.

“No, I’d like to keep it on…” Uzi said almost hesitantly, N was surprised by her answer but smiled before place his hand on her head, “That’s fine, it looks good on you” N’s words made Uzi blush a bit, N notices while realizing how different she is from before, normally she’d yell out “bite me” while trying to hide her clear blush, he loves her but he hopes that Nori will be able to do something to help Uzi.

The bus stopped after such a long drive, Lizzy sighed before getting out of the driver’s seat, “We’re home… finally” she said before leaving the bus with V and Thad following behind. N gets up from his seat while holding onto Uzi’s hand, while they finally made it home it’s still a new place for Uzi, so she’s holding onto N’s arm like a lifeline.

The door to the bunker opens and the group is met with Khan and Nori who are happy to see everyone’s safe return, “Welcome back everyone! Where’s our daughter?” Khan said with a welcoming smile, but when he noticed Uzi holding onto N’s arm he immediately realized something was wrong, Nori also noticed just as quickly and the two parents looked at one another with confusion, “What’s wrong Uzi?” Nori asked taking a few steps towards her daughter, she reached for Uzi’s hand but Uzi instinctively held onto N tightly, Nori and N stared at one another with Nori looking puzzled and N having a look of worry, “We have an issue to explain” V added which didn’t make Nori or Khan feel any better.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE HAS AMNESIA!?!” Nori’s words echoed awhile later in a room that has pieces of machinery scattered across from desks, one of the desk having a picture of Nori holding baby Uzi, “It’s hard to really explain, but she doesn’t know anyone…. Besides me I think” N does his best to explain, Nori only sighs.

“It’s fine, I’ll take a look at her and see if there’s something causing the amnesia,” Nori explained her plan before looking over at her daughter, “Don’t worry sweetie, everything will be okay” Nori said in a way to gain Uzi’s trust, Uzi looks at N who confidently assured her that it’ll be okay.

N left the room alone feeling worried but glad that Uzi’s home, he just hopes that Nori can find a way to help her, “Oh! N, perfect timing” N looks over to see Khan calling for him, “I’m glad you brought Uzi back, so I’d  like to let you take a few days off of work to rest” the offer was nice, N could use the rest but he shook his head, “thanks for the offer, but I’m sure there’s plenty of work that’s needs to be done around the bunker” N smiles as he tries to deny the offer but Khan insists, “Well to bad I’m not asking, you’ve probably been through a lot outside so go rest, I’ll be sure things don’t get out of hand while your off work” Khan said before patting N’s arm before leaving N alone in the hallway.

Meanwhile; Nori had Uzi up against the wall as she was checking to see if there’s any lasting damage, “Uzi sweetie, what’s the last thing you remember?” Nori asked trying to get a clear picture of the situation. “I… woke up in a bunker that’s covered in plants, the chief there is a very nice lady named Ophelia” Uzi spoke recalling her search for her memories.

“So you can recall all of that but have no memory of me or your dad?” Nori asked and Uzi stood there trying her best to recall anything else, “No…. Im sorry but I can’t remember.” Uzi admitted feeling terrible that she could remember her own parents, Nori wasn’t showing it but she felt a slight sting in her core at the thought of Uzi forgetting her. “Don’t worry sweetie, I’ll help you remember” Nori guided her daughter over to a empty desk and asked Uzi to lay down, when she did Uzi felt nervous, “It’s okay to be nervous, I’m going to put you in sleep mode so I can find the problem, don’t worry you won’t feel a thing” Nori reassured Uzi who was nervous but did her best to calm down while Nori held a cable and attached it to Uzi’s head forcing her to enter [SLEEP MODE], Nori moved over to a computer to try and access Uzi’s memories.

N made it to his room taking a deep breath, he looked at the W.D.F. Armband before removing his uniform and hat, he laid down on his bed staring at the ceiling, he hopes that Uzi will remember and things can go back to normal.

“Rest well Uzi….” N said to himself before going into [SLEEP MODE].

Chapter Text

A day has passed since the search party’s return, and each of the members of the team decided to have a day to themselves (or night in this case).

Thad went to the gymnasium, despite the injury on his hand he wanted to improve his skills with his bat, so he waited in the gym until N arrived noticing how quiet the gym is.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen the gym this quiet before, now I’m thinking of Uzi’s prom night” N chuckled at the memory, recalling Uzi wearing the purple dress that she wore that day. “Thanks for coming N, I have a favor to ask” Thad held his bat over his shoulder while talking, “Sure I’ll help with anything, what do you need?” N agreed wanting to help Thad with whatever problem he was having.

Thad took a breath, “I want you to fight me” N was caught off guard for a second by the favor, “Wha… please repeat that…” N asked wondering if he misheard, “N, I’m nothing special, I don’t have built in weaponry, and I don’t have powers like how Uzi or her mom does”  Thad explained while gripping his bat while lightly swinging it around. “We don’t know if there’s going to be another major threat, even if it’s against other drones I want to be able to rely on myself when you or Uzi aren’t around” Thad gave his reasoning while N didn’t know how to reply, the silence lasted for a bit before N spoke.

“Okay, I’ll help, plus I think I’ve gone a bit soft for a killing machine” N jokingly said before turning one of his hands into a baton, Thad chuckled at the implications of N’s joke but that didn’t stop him from having his bat ready, the two stared at one another before dashing towards one another before clashing attacks.

V is spending time at Lizzy’s place, since the two returned home they’ve been bing watching movies, Lizzy wasn’t on her phone which is a rare site to see since she’s almost never seen without it, “I’m glad to finally be home…. Didn’t really get to use those knives much but they looked amazing with my outfit” Lizzy commented while laying on her couch, V walked behind the couch leaning against it with her head hovering over Lizzy’s. “So you wish to be a stylish killer? Sorry but I look better covered in oil, it would ruin your hair” V jokingly teases as Lizzy only scoffs a bit, “Wouldn’t stop me, I’d make every battle look like a trend” Lizzy adds while standing up on the couch playfully glaring at V while matching her in height.

“Are you forgetting who you’re dealing with?” V said as she gives Lizzy a crazed smile, “Do you know who’s home you’re currently in?” Lizzy fired back with a cocky smirk, the two stared each other down intensely until V jumps over the couch and pounces on Lizzy, the two have a bit of a scuffle but by the end of it had V laying on top of Lizzy with her arms tight around the worker drone, “I win!” V claimed while Lizzy struggled underneath her, “S..Shut up! You only won cause you’re taller!” Lizzy said defeated, she reaches for her phone but V grabs it with her tail, “No you don’t, the only screen you should pay attention to is my eyes” V hugged Lizzy tighter with a yellow appearing on one side of her visor, Lizzy blushes feeling embarrassed, “J..Just watch the movie!” Lizzy yelled out as the two got back onto the couch, V was still hugging Lizzy tight but after a moment Lizzy returned the hug as the two enjoyed their movie night.

Nori was on her computer still trying to find a solution for Uzi’s amnesia, every time she tried to access a memory she gets locked out of it, everything is there but something is preventing her from accessing them, “This shouldn’t be a problem…. Yet here I am” Nori groans with frustration as her sleeping daughter lays on the table a couple feet from her.

“Guess who!” Khan calls out entering the room holding a cup of oil for his wife, he accidentally kicks a desk and trips dropping the cup but Nori saves it with her solver powers while Khan hits the ground, “Great catch honey” Khan said with his face on the ground but he gets back up with no problem, “Any progress?” He asked curious on Nori’s progress. “I wish, every time I try to fix something it gets locked out, all of her memories are there but something is preventing me from accessing them” Nori groans while leaning back in her seat, “the only memories that play are with her and N”

“Can you blame her?” Khan asked which resulted with a glare from Nori, “What are you suggesting Khan?” Nori replied with a hint of malice which spooked Khan but he continued. “Let’s be honest, we were never really in her life, you “died” while she was still little and since your “death” I focused solely on building doors and never gave her attention” Khan said feeling guilty while Nori followed with a bit of guilt.

“It’s makes sense she thinks of N a lot, he was the only one who really gave her the attention that she wanted, we weren’t the best parents, but we can try and make up for it by being for her now” Khan’s words echoed in Nori’s mind before she sighed, “Then I guess N would be the one to help her remember” Nori thinks out loud before leaning against her desk with her gaze locked into the computer screen.

“What’s causing this? Her memories would’ve recovered if she were to heal from any head injury” Nori continued to speculate a possible cause, any scenario that played in her head didn’t lead to anything resulting in Uzi having amnesia, it should be impossible for a drone to have such an issue, the only way a drones memory could be impacted is if something were to actively interaction with them.

It was at that point Nori froze, her eyes hollowed out on her visor as Khan noticed the terrified look on Nori’s face, “Khan…. I want you to go and get N and the others, please be quick” Nori said in a whisper and Khan quietly left the room in a hurry.

Nori sat there quietly trying to keep herself calm, Uzi shouldn’t be able to have amnesia, any injury she sustained would’ve healed including any memory issue, which would mean the only reason she has amnesia would be because her memories were purposefully locked away, which means….

Nori hears something fall off the table behind her, she looked back in a panic seeing Uzi gone which confirmed her suspicions, Nori got her hand out with the solver symbol appearing from her hand and the left side of her visor, she looked around trying to stay calm but all of that changed when she gets grabbed by the neck and lifted off the ground. Nori looks up to see her daughter with a crazed smile, her wings spread out as she hung from the ceiling, her visor now glowing a golden light.

Chapter Text

N and Thad were taking heavy breaths, they’ve been sparing for quite a bit and N admits that Thad hits very hard with that bat, maybe when Uzi regains her memories she’ll think of ways for Thad to get better at combat, but all of that had to wait since Khan opened the gym doors to see the two tired drones, “Nori needs you two, I’ll go get the others” Khan said almost panicked but N and Thad decided to head their way to Nori.

V and Lizzy are cuddling close together on the couch, they’ve stopped paying attention to the movie playing on the TV since they’re more focused on looking at each other’s gaze, Lizzy was blushing like crazy as V’s face got closer, any noise around her started to drown out as all Lizzy could think about was the situation she found herself in, she closed her eyes and leaned toward V…. Until her door slammed open with Khan looking worried, “Hey you two I need…..”

Khan looked at V and Lizzy who were still cuddling one another, he went quiet as he was met with a deadly look coming from V, “I… I’m sorry to interrupt…. But Nori needs you two immediately…. again sorry” Khan explained apologetically feeling terrible but he had to do that but there’s something important at risk right now.

After a good moment the group gets together and starts heading towards Nori’s location, Thad and Lizzy have their weapons prepared while V and N are worried about the situation. The four make it down the hallway with Khan following behind, this is when they see Nori get thrown through the metal door, making everyone freeze in place with Khan running over to check on Nori. The four freeze when they see Uzi walking out of the room, her visor glowing a golden color which made V and N freeze in place unable to move their legs.

[What a happy reunion! Did anyone missed me? :)] The words spoken out of Uzi’s mouth is different, it was cheerful yet eerie, cracking like her voice box was broken. N was the first to speak, “Cyn…. How are you here!?” He said with genuine confusion, since the day the three of them defeated the absolute solver, Cyn’s consciousness was trapped in Uzi’s body, but as the years went by Uzi’s consciousness started to take over Cyn’s, and that eventually led to Cyn to vanish completely, or that’s what everyone believed.

Cyn laughed and made Uzi’s wing’s spread open before trying to fly towards the exit of the bunker, everyone panicked before chasing after her with N and V catching up. Cyn makes it outside and not long after V is the next one to leave, but at that moment she suddenly felt herself hit the snow covered ground as a large piece of debris was thrown on top of her by Cyn who’s high up in the air laughing, she sticks out Uzi’s hand and a golden solver appears on her hand, the debris lifts off of V but comes crashing down once again, V takes a few hits before N destroys it with a missile as he flies towards the possessed drone with a bladed hand, Cyn smiles with a wide grin and purposefully leaves herself open for N to attack, during this everyone else managed to make it outside to witness

N stops before Cyn while looking at the body she’s possessing, [You know very well you can’t lay a finger on her, you wouldn’t kill your girlfriend would you? ;)] N hesitated, she was right but he had to do something, so he forced himself to try and cut off Uzi’s arm to hopefully give enough shock to wake Uzi up from Cyn’s control, but when he tried Cyn used her solver and made N stab himself through the chest, he falls but manages to grab Uzi’s hand with his, he coughed up a bit of oil as he couldn’t pull out the blade with how deep it’s in his chest.

[Bye bye N ;)] said Cyn as she kicks N in the head forcing him to lose his grip, he falls to the ground with a heavy impact causing a shocking reaction to everyone who saw what happened, Nori and Thad went to check on N who was having a hard time staying conscious, “Shit! He’s damaged his core, Thad help me get him inside the bunker!” Nori asked as she and Thad carried N back to the bunker, the last thing N saw before losing consciousness was Uzi flying high in the air, Cyn’s smile gone as it was replace with a look of regret.

V got back up and went to attack Cyn but Lizzy stops her, “Don’t! I don’t want you to end up like N!” V noticed Lizzy looking worried so she stopped, Cyn smiled and laughed, [While I’d love to stay and chat, I don’t have full control, so until we meet again! :)] Cyn flies away at high speed, taking Uzi’s body away from everyone.

After a couple hours, Uzi wakes up to find herself on top of a ruined building, she looks around to realize she’s no longer at her home, “What…. Happened?” Uzi asked herself wondering why she isn’t with N or the others, that’s until she’s hit with an image of N being forced to stab himself with his own bladed hand, Uzi falls on her knees in shock, question herself on what she saw.

[Enjoyed your nap?] Uzi panics as she looks around to figure out where that voice came from but couldn’t find anyone on this empty roof, [You don’t know me…. But I know you very well Uzi ;)] The voice speaks once again and Uzi realizes it’s in her head, “Who are you!? Get out of my head!” She demands but all she gets is a laugh in response, [I would if I could, but no…. You and I are connected, I’m surprised you have control still but that won’t matter when I fully take over the system in your body] The voice explained and Uzi was starting to panic again, she doesn’t understand what’s going on and now she has a voice in her head that wants to take over her body, “I don’t know who you are, but I’ll find a way to stop you!” Uzi declared but that was followed by another laugh in response, [Good luck trying Uzi…. You’re going to need it ;)] the voice fades and Uzi feels herself alone on the roof, she sits there lost in thought not having a single clue on what to do, but she has to figure something out or she’ll lose her body completely, she looks at her hand and notices her ring is missing, this isn’t good.

N stirs, he feels drowsy but he finds himself on a table with bandages wrapped over his chest, he sees Nori walking by noticing he’s awake, “Oh good, you’re awake, how do you feel?” Nori asked as N pulled himself up into a sitting position, “I feel…. off, what happened?” N asked trying to understand the situation. “Uzi’s gone…. Cyn flew away to who knows where, she’s the cause of Uzi’s amnesia” Nori said as she continued to explain things to N, “Whatever injury Uzi sustained gave Cyn a chance to alter or lock away Uzi’s memories, but I know a way we can save her” Nori says with a hopeful look in her eyes, “The only memories that Uzi had a heavy connection towards are ones involving you, meaning you’re the only one here who can help her remember, we just have to find her again” Nori’s words echoed in N’s head, the situation was bad at first but now it’s worse with Cyn’s return, N tried to process the turn of events before noticing he was holding onto something in his hand, he pulled his hand up in from of him and opens his palm to see the ring that Uzi was wearing, he recalls grabbing her hand when Cyn forced him to stab himself.

N gets up from the table holding the ring close, “We can save her, let’s gather everyone to the bus” N said before him and Nori left the room to hopefully find Uzi and stop Cyn.

They will save her…..

Chapter Text

The bus is ready once again for another trip, N, V, Lizzy, and Thad got on the bus and was about to leave but Nori stops the bus from leaving confusing everyone inside, “You aren’t leaving without us” Nori said with Khan catching up from behind with a toolbox in his hand, “Are you sure? We’re going up against Cyn again” N questioned but Nori forced herself in the bus, “I’m certain, you’ll need all the help you can get” Nori said as Khan took the drivers seat over Thad.

“From what I heard Thad got his hand injured right before all of you returned to the bunker, I’m not a fighter so I’ll take over as the driver” Khan said before placing his toolbox next to the drivers seat, Thad scratched the back of his head before sitting on one of the many seats in the bus, Nori sat down in a seat behind N who’s looking at the ring that was practically the catalyst to everything, if he didn’t have it he wouldn’t have looked for Uzi and she might not have convinced him to pilot the pod, she probably would’ve kept it as a surprise for everyone before she’d go with her plan.

Meanwhile Uzi stood at the edge of the roof that Cyn left her on, she tried to leave but the door leading inside the building is jammed, so Uzi decided to jump off and hopefully take minimal damage, it’s not to high up but it was definitely going to hurt, “Just get it over with… I have to get down somehow” Uzi told herself before closing her eyes and jumping, she expected a hard impact but she realized she was falling longer than expected, when she opened her eyes she found herself flouting slowly onto the ground, she was confused until she saw a pair of wings which scared her a bit, she turned around trying to get a better look before realizing they’re on her body, “I have wings!? When? How!? Is it because of that voice?” Uzi tried to understand the sudden appearance of the wings on her back, until an idea hit her.

“Maybe I can fly up and signal for N and the others, I just hope they know a way to stop whoever from taking over my body” Uzi said before jumping up but she didn’t go very high before falling back on her feet, this made her realize she doesn’t know how to use the wings on her back, “Damn…. I couldn’t at least have muscle memory? Assuming I even had wings this whole time”

Uzi felt a burning pain spreading from her back, she grunts in pain and looks behind her to see the sun rising, “Crap!!” Uzi panics as her visor displayed [Overheating] Uzi tries to reach somewhere with a shade but her body starts to fail as she falls forward onto the ground, she couldn’t move and her body felt like it was in fire, she tried to crawl but soon she lost consciousness believing she’d burn to death, but a shadow covers her as a drone holding a bow arrived before covering Uzi with a large piece of cloth, the drone wrapped the unconscious drone on the cloth before carrying her away.

At the far reaches of the city is the road gang that encountered the bus some time ago, their leader Law is leaning against his vehicle holding what’s left of his axe, one of the members walked up to Law “Sir, we’ve spotted the same bus from last time, it appears that same drone is inside as well” the drone with the skull helmet says as Law tosses his broken axe in his vehicle, “He got lucky, once I’m ready I’m going to destroy his weak body” Law said calmly but with a hint of malice behind those words, Law got into his vehicle and started the engine.

Thad felt uneasy, like a bad feeling kept lingering in his head, the back of the bus is covered in cloth with only him, Lizzy, and Khan at the front of it, “Listen you two” Khan said as he drove, “While N, V, and Nori are powerful in their own right, us three are the only ones who can walk in the sun, so we can’t always rely on them if something happens, it’s just us once the sun rises so let’s be cautious when the time calls for it” Khan explains as Lizzy and Thad nodded in agreement, although Lizzy didn’t seem to pay attention since she’s looking at her phone.

Whatever the case, once Uzi is found they’ll find a way to stop Cyn, and hopefully for good this time.

Chapter Text

Uzi wakes up someplace dark, she’s laying on her back with her visor trying to scan the area so she can adjust to the darkness, she finds herself wrapped in a large piece of cloth like a makeshift blanket, she’s even laying on a mattress which confused her more, once her visor finished scanning the area she realized she was in a cave, but there were some old pieces of furniture and machinery, soon Uzi sees someone walking up to her wearing a large cloak that covered their entire body while hiding their face.

“You’re awake, good… now leave” The drone said as if they are annoyed at Uzi’s presence, “What!? You save me, bring me here, and now you want me to just leave?” Uzi asked confused by the strangers actions, “Correct, now leave” the drone said before picking up a can of oil, Uzi got up holding the large piece of cloth, she can see the sunlight at the end of the cave “How? The sun is still up” Uzi asked annoyed “Not my problem, figure it out yourself” Uzi had enough of this drone’s attitude, so she walked up to them and yanked the hood off the drone’s head, she was surprised to see someone resembling a murder drone like V, but with pigtails.

Uzi is met with sharp claw blades against her neck making her flinch back a bit, “You’re making it harder not to kill you Uzi…” there’s a lot of malice behind those words, Uzi was scared but couldn’t stop herself from speaking, “Who the hell are you!? And what did I do to piss you off!?” This made the drone confused but even more angry, as she grabs Uzi’s neck with one hand, “What are you playing here?!? You act as if you don’t remember!” The murder drone yelled out as Uzi lost her grit, “Because I don’t!!” Uzi said without thinking, The murder drone dropped her onto the ground, staring at Uzi with intensity.

“What do you remember?” The murder drone asked Uzi who quietly got up from the ground, “All I know is my name, and that I’m in a relationship with N, there’s other memories but they’re very faint, no matter how much I try I can’t remember anything…” Uzi explained to the best of her ability, and all she got was a sigh from the drone, “If that’s the case, I’ll need to take you back to N personally, I don’t want your death to be on my mind because you got yourself killed” The drone pulled the hood back over her head.

“I’m J, never thought I have to introduce myself to you but here we are, now use that piece of cloth and make yourself something to block the sun” J said before leaving Uzi alone in the cave, “J huh? Strange, I don’t feel worried but at the same time I shouldn’t let my guard down if she does try to kill me” she told herself before forming the cloth into a cloak before following J outside.

J stood near the entrance of the cave close to the light of the sun, Uzi caught up and J started to turn to leave until she heard a familiar voice, [Good Afternoon, J :)] J froze in place before turning back to see the possessed Uzi with a creepy smile and golden visor. J didn’t know what to think after hearing Cyn’s voice again after so many years, “I… I thought you were dead” J’s voice is quiet not knowing what to think, she could feel Cyn wrap her arms around her as the absolute solver spoke softly, [I’m back now… I just need to take over this body, and once I do… this world is mine] J felt stiff, not wanting to move feeling like a single twitch would cost her life, [Come on J…. Just like old times]

Everything went silent, and soon oil hits the ground as J slashed Uzi’s neck as the amnesiac drone regained control while gripping her neck, “You’ll heal….” J said with a dead expression on her face as Uzi fell onto the ground unconscious, J didn’t know why her body acted like that, for so long she never felt such intensity that Cyn gave her, she felt genuine terror in her core.

Meanwhile on the bus, Thad, Lizzy and Khan were having a small chat trying to think of what they’d do when they find Uzi again, during this Thad noticed they passed a familiar looking drone that was on the ground, he quickly got up and forced the bus to stop, “Hey! Thad what was that for!?” Lizzy asked annoyed as she nearly fell out of her seat, “Back up! I think I saw someone!” Thad said with urgency, the bus backed up and both Thad and Lizzy recognized the drone on the ground, the two got out of the bus with Khan following behind a bit confused of the situation.

Thad and Lizzy got close and recognized the vine that wrapped around the drone’s arm, but the vine is burnt with his head is cracked causing the visor to glitch out “Vincent?! What happened to him?” Thad asked as he and Lizzy tried to move him to the bus, but that was interrupted when a burst of flames nearly hit them as Thad ‘s vision is met with Law who’s holding a makeshift flamethrower.

“Look who it is! If it isn’t Thad! Didn’t think I’d see you so soon” Law grinned which is followed by a laugh, Thad let’s go of Vincent and readies his back, Lizzy follows with her knives but Law raises his hand in front of him, “No, not yet, when I get that rematch I want it against only you” Law points at Thad completely ignoring Lizzy, “You better ready yourself, because when it’s just me and you I’m going to tear your head from your body and use it as a weapon” Law turns to leave but stops for a moment, “I’ll make sure our rematch will be our last fight” Law walks away leaving Lizzy and Thad with a unconscious Vincent laying on the ground.

The two managed to get Vincent in the bus, Khan was confused with the vine growing out of the drone’s arm but when Lizzy explained things then Khan stopped questioning it, Thad is sitting further back in the bus not knowing what to do if Law attacks him out of nowhere, he already has to look for Uzi but now there’s a drone that wants him dead.

Thad sighs while holding onto his bat, maybe there will be a chance to kill two birds with one stone.

Chapter Text

When nightfall arrived the bus came to a stop and Thad explained his and Lizzy’s story about their encounter with Law, Vincent is still unconscious but the burnt vine around his arm is growing back so he should hopefully wake up soon.

“So who exactly is this guy?” Khan asked trying to understand what’s happening, “this is Vincent, he’s from a bunker that’s filled with drones covered in plants, he also tried to kill me and V believing we were trying to kill Thad and Lizzy” N continued to explain their first encounter with the nature drone, including the initial struggle to fight back against him, meanwhile V was looking at the vine that grew across the drone’s arm, it seemed to have recovered somewhat as Nori found it strange hearing about drones living with plants growing inside them.

“N, I need to talk to you” Nori said pulling N to the back of the bus, he was confused but followed her to the back, “What’s happening?” He asked confused on why Nori needed to talk to him and worried that something might be going on. “N, as you know Uzi can’t recover her memories completely until the Cyn is dead, so I have a plan that could work” Nori explained but that only made N worry more cause it sounded like a risk, “if Uzi isn’t possessed by Cyn, I’m going to try and use my solver to  force her memories to resurface since Cyn is most likely using hers to keep them buried” Nori said while the solver symbol appeared on the left side of her visor.

“I’m assuming there’s an issue with that?” N asked genuinely worried where this is going, “There’s a risk I could damage a part of her system, or my own if I’m not careful, if Cyn does have control over her then that’ll make it even harder since she’ll be an active threat if I tried to do something, worse case scenario has me dying for good this time” Nori sighed as she had to many thoughts of the plan backfiring on her, she just had to take the chance if her daughter is in control of herself.

The sound of stirring can be heard as everyone’s attention when to Vincent who finally woke up, he felt the vine grip tightly around his arm. Vincent looked around to see everyone staring at him plus a couple of unfamiliar faces, “Vincent! You’re up!” Thad called out with relief, “It appears so… guess it ain’t my time yet, I assume you’re still searching for that drone?” Vincent asked with N chuckling a bit hesitantly, “We did find her… but then we lost her again..” Vincent took a breath before standing up. “What exactly happened? From what Thad told me you were burnt” N asked as Vincent examined the vine across his arm, it looked fine but he’s fully aware of its burnt look before losing consciousness. “I was fooled into letting my guard down, I was then burnt by a wave of fire, it was painful but I won’t lie when I say I was ready to accept my death” Vincent explained which made everyone a bit uneasy.

“Don’t worry Vincent, I’ll make sure your attacker pays” Thad said calmly causing half the group to look at him confused but Vincent only nodded, “Thank you Thad, I can tell you’d make a great warrior” Vincent acknowledge before trying to leave, “I appreciate all your help, but I should leave” He said but N stops him, “We’d like your help with something if you don’t mind, it involves the person we’re trying to find” N asks hoping to get some additional help in case things go bad.

Vincent turned towards the group as the vine around his arm almost covers it at this point, “What do you need help with?” Vincent asks with genuine curiosity.

Meanwhile J and Uzi are walking pass some trees, Uzi wasn’t happy waking up from having to heal from a cut to the neck but J dismissed her anger, “So what exactly happened between me and you?” Uzi asked trying to get a clear picture of her relationship with J. “Hmm…. You were the one drone that managed to kill a planet eater” J said which made Uzi stop in place at the ridiculousness that sounded to her, “Explain….” She asked wanting to know more, J just sighed as the two continued walking. “I was a loyal drone of the company JCJenson in Spaaaace…. Me and my team were tasked to kill any drones we encountered on Copper 9, which involved two drones named V and N” Uzi listened carefully but she figured N knows J since he did tell her that their first meeting had him trying to kill her.

“Everything was going perfect, until N suddenly started acting suspicious….” J explain as Uzi pieced together that this must’ve happened after she first N, “We followed him into the bunker you call home and discovered he started questioning the company, I planted a virus into his system and went to do my job with V” J continued as Uzi felt a sudden pain in her head, her environment shifting as she tried to keep her balance, soon Uzi found herself on the ground with a sharp pain in her shoulder.

[MISSING DATA FOUND]

Uzi got up from the ground to see the familiar shadow drone that looked in pain as it noticed her, “I’m… sorry…” the drone said, this time Uzi recognized the voice as N’s voice, she noticed something attacked to his torso and she instinctively grabbed a nearby wrench to try and remove it, “Don’t think this means we’re on the same side” Uzi said not knowing why as the shadow drone sighed in a bit of pain, “That’s fair….”

[MEMORY FILES LOST]

Uzi suddenly found herself being shook by J who looked annoyed at Uzi’s lack of response, “Are you even listening!? Never mind that, let’s just hurry up and look for that boyfriend of yours” J sighed in annoyance, sick of having to do this in the first place, she just wants to be left alone, sadly that isn’t happening anytime soon.

“Hey! You’re that drone!” Both J and Uzi hear as they turn back to see two disassembly drones appearing from behind a tree that Uzi recognized immediately, “it’s you two….” She didn’t expect to run into them out here as she recognized them as Zack and Abby, “Who’s she?” Zack asked pointing at J but that changed when he got a closer look, he immediately got in front of Abby to guard her, “You! I know you!” Zack calls out as J looked confused before realizing the situation, “Ah, so you two must be Z and A, didn’t think I’d see you two again” J said calmly but Abby started yelling “That’s not our names! We aren’t killing machines like you J!” Abby yelled as tension started to rise up, Uzi got between them trying to ease the tension.

“Zack, Abby, it’s fine, she’s only helping me look for someone” Uzi explained, soon the tension around them is stable and Uzi took a breath of relief.

Things are starting to get out of hand for her….

The tension between J and the other disassembly drones is intense, Uzi doesn’t want a fight to break out between them, so she did her best to calm each of them down but it wouldn’t last long since one of them would start pushing buttons.

“I never thought I’d see a company loyalist homeless” Zack said with Abby hiding behind him, J only scoffs before turning to face Zack with a death stare. “I’d never thought I’d see a disassembly drones give each other names like a worker” J commented with made the other two grit their teeth, before anything could happen Uzi get between them and pushed each other away from one another by spreading her wings, this caught Zack and Abby off guard from seeing Uzi’s wings. “What the hell!?” Zack called out as Uzi’s wings are spread wide, J only laughs like still glaring at the two other drones “Oh? Didn’t you know? The little worker here is the host of the absolute solver” J said with a sinister tone, Zack and Abby gave a look of terror as Uzi tried to explain herself, she doesn’t know what this absolute solver is, is it the voice in her head, the one that wants to control her body, she quickly turns towards J angry at what she’s doing, “We don’t have time for this J! Don’t lie to them!” Uzi called out but even she admits to herself that it might not even be a lie.

“Call me a lier if you wish, but I’m not tolerating two disassembly drones who chose to abandon their duties” J said but Uzi immediately calls her out, “Well you aren’t doing your job either, I’m clearly a worker drone and I’ve done something to make you hate me, so kill me then since that’s your job!” Uzi said with her arms and wings spread out making her a big target, J gives a annoyed look before turning away and continuing to walk, Uzi took a breath glad her bluff worked.

Uzi stood there as Zack and Abby hesitantly walked passed, Uzi took another breath before following the killing machines, as she took each step she started to feel heavy, like her body didn’t feel normal as she started to feel hollow and weak, each step started to slow down and eventually she fell forward onto the ground with her visor turned off.

Uzi slowly got up from the ground, but it was different, the grass is black and burnt, trees around her are destroyed as she looked in front to see a drone with white hair wearing a maid uniform, Uzi was confused at the sight before the drone teleported in front of her now covered in what looked to be human skin while giving a crazed smile.

[Its time… :)] Cyn’s voice froze Uzi in place, she didn’t know what to do so she tried run away but a large piece of land would fall and block her path, Uzi turned back before being grabbed by the throat and slammed into the fallen piece land. “Who… are you!?” Uzi asked while Cyn is choking her, [It doesn’t matter if I tell you or not, you’ll forget it anyway :)] Cyn laughed as the solver symbol appears in her visor, it soon appears in Uzi’s with its golden color making Uzi panic.

[MEMORY FILES ACCESSED]

[As long as a part of you exists, you’ll get in my way] Cub’s smile widens as everything around them started to glitch out, [So I’ll make sure there’s nothing left >:)] Cyn snaps her fingers and the stars in the sky vanished, Uzi’s head started to feel fuzzy, she quickly tried to get out of Cyn’s grip but nothing was working.

Cyn snaps her fingers and the trees glitch out and vanish, Uzi’s needs to get out of here and warn J and the others….. what were the other two’s names?

[Whats wrong? Can’t remember? ;)] Cyn snapped her fingers again and the grass glitched and faded leaving a smooth piece of land, at this point Cyn lets go of Uzi who falls on both her knees, she tried to remember her objective but nothing was forming, she knows someone important….. but what was their name? She grabbed her head trying to remember but every time she did she couldn’t get a clue or a faint recalling of who that person is. Cyn walks behind Uzi and snaps her fingers again, the piece of land behind them glitches and fades away, the purple drone’s visor showed a hollow eye while the other side showed a golden solver, she couldn’t think straight as her head felt like static, she tried to get up but can’t.

She tried to recall anything, she knows that she has something important to do, at least she thinks she does…. Is there anything to do? She fell backwards onto her back, Cyn quietly walked around the poor drone avoiding eye contact, she snapped her fingers again and everything went dark.

J looked back after hearing something fall against the floor, Zack and Abby did the same as the three see Uzi on the ground, the pair went to check on her while J stood there with caution, “Hey, Hey! Are you okay?” Abby said helping Uzi on her feet with Zack’s help, “We got you just hold on” Zack said trying to pull Uzi’s arm over his shoulder but that changed when Uzi suddenly pierced his body with her hand, Abby screamed at the sight while J immediately tried to go for Uzi’s neck with a bladed hand but it would stop in place as the solver symbol appears around the blade.

[Awww…. Did you think that would work twice? ;)] Cyn said as J is suddenly thrown backwards, Cyn rips out Zack’s core before tossing his body, she gives Abby a terrifying glare, [Here~ a gift for a kind lady!] Cyn tosses the terrified drone Zack’s core, which made Abby give the core a look of fear, which the robotic core returned while squirming in her hands. J attacks Cyn who blocks with the solver, [Oh… and here I thought we could be a team again ;)] Cyn smiled before forcing J to stab herself with her clawed hand making her fall onto her back losing consciousness.

[J…. You’re much better as a pawn on a chess board, with me you can have a purpose….] Cyn’s words were strangely calm as the possessed drone lend out a hand for J who’s struggling to stay conscious, “I’m not… a pawn…” J said in pain before she lost consciousness soon after, Cyn took a breath before looking back at Abby who’s still holding Zack’s core close to her body. [Hey do me a favor… since I’m such a generous drone~] Cyn got close and Abby flinched a bit, [If you see a drone wearing a pilots hat, tell him I’m excited for the reunion~] Cyn gives a smile before teleporting away.

Abby was frozen in fear, she didn’t think she’d encounter anything like that in her life, she held onto Zack’s core which struggled in her grip, “Abby…. Please look for my body” Zack said in his crab like state, Abby jumped from Zack’s voice before apologizing and started searching for Zack’s body.

“Oh…. I’m not built for this much stress….” Abby said to herself scared of what’s going to happen.

The bus drove down the road at a steady pace, now with Vincent as an added member to help stop Cyn’s plans.

The drive is a calm one for the time being, unaware of the chaos that happened a fair distance away, but that changed when Nori felt a sharp pain in her core, the purple solver symbol appeared over one side of her visor, she doesn’t understand the feeling the something is clearly wrong.

N sat down looking at the ring, he’s been using it as a reminder of his goal once all of this is over, “Got to keep my head straight…” he said to himself as he waited for whatever was going to happen next.

After some time the bus’ engine suddenly blew and Khan had to park off the side of the road, he got out his toolbox and went to check to see what the problem is, sadly he is struggling more then he’d admit, “I’m getting to old” he said to himself while attempting to fix. “Hello! Anyone there?!” A feminine voice calls out which catches Khan off guard since he didn’t expect it, “It seems someone is in need of assistance” another voice says as Vincent appeared just out of Khan’s sight.

“Geez! Scared me there” Khan admitted with a hand on his chest, “Apologies, that was rude of me” Vincent said calmly as he held out his bow which made Khan worry a bit, “Are you going to check on that voice? What if it’s a trap?” He asked, feeling cautious about the possible danger that things could lead to. Vincent’s vine held around his arm tightly as if ready to strike forward at any danger, “If I die then that’ll be it, my duty is to protect my colony and the plants that Mother Nature provides” Vincent’s word felt monotoned but he looked very serious which made Khan ask himself why this drone didn’t have any worry for his own safety.

“Please! We have injured!” The voice calls out and Vincent started heading his way towards the direction of the voice, Khan watched Vincent leave and started to hesitate if he should tell the others, but his legs started to act on their own as he followed Vincent into the woods.

“Wait up!” Khan said which made Vincent turn to face him, “So you wish to join?” The Nature Drone questioned and Khan didn’t know how to answer, he was lost for words at his own action that he said the first thing that came to mind, “Curiosity got the better of me” it wasn’t a lie but he he should probably stay at the bus where it’s safe, but his body didn’t listen as he followed Vincent to the source of the voice.

After a bit of a hike the two encountered female murder drone on her knees watching as another one was on his back healing a injury around his chest, the female murder drone noticed the two and immediately Khan felt worried, “Oh Finally! Thank goodness someone heard me, I need help!” The female drone said in a panic as the guy on his back coughed but seemed to be okay, “He looks fine, what happened?” Vincent said as Khan couldn’t say anything, “I’m Abby, and that’s Zack, I’m okay but he had his core torn out but he’s recovering, it’s her that needs help” Abby leads the two towards a third member that Khan immediately recognized as J.

Khan took a step back completely afraid of the unconscious murder drone, Vincent looked at J and noticed Khan’s reaction, “What happened exactly?” Vincent asked with caution since he doesn’t completely believe the situation. “Me and Zack met up with her some time ago and she was with another drone with purple hair” Abby explained to the best of her ability but the moment she mentioned a drone with purple hair Khan pushed aside any fear he had to confront Abby.

“You’ve seen my daughter!? Where is she?!” Khan said while practically shaking Abby by the shoulders, “Sh…She’s your daughter!?” Said the surprised drone as Khan has a desperate expression, “Yes! Me and the others have been looking for her!” The worried father claims with urgency, Abby gives a look of hesitation before speaking, “J..Just help me save her and I’ll tell you all I know!” Abby said without thinking which made Zack react a bit before heading over to try and lift J’s unconscious body.

Vincent and Khan lifted J by the legs while Abby and Zack held her by the shoulders, the four carried the murder drone on their way towards the bus, luckily Vincent’s vine helped with his grip by wrapping around J’s leg as the group made their way towards the bus.

Meanwhile, a good distance away had Law and his gang parking their vehicles on a large hill that gave a great view of a ruined city, the moon shined brightly in the night sky as Law finished fixing his makeshift axe, but now having a burner attached to it so it could ignite the bladed areas. “Sir! We have a visitor!” One of the members of the gang said almost panicked as Law got out of his vehicle annoyed, “We’re a road gang why the hell do we get visitors?!” Law openly said to himself as he looks over to see a drone with long purple hair with a golden glow in her visor, some of the gang members are on the ground dead as the one who called Law over is being held up by the neck with the solver.

“Who the hell are you?” Law asked not really worried but could tell that this drone is dangerous, [Call me Cyn, and I have an opportunity for you ;)] Cyn gives a crazed smile as Law decided to lower his axe, “I’m not someone who’s interested in helping strangers” Law stood his ground but he can tell that if a fight broke out he’d die, [Trust me~ all I ask is a small favor] she said before dropping the drone she held onto the ground making them crawl away in a panic. [All I want is a bodyguard, so that for me and I promise to give you anything once it’s over ;)] Cyn explained while offering her hand, Law looked at her for a moment before remembering the fight he had with Thad, he stabbed his axe into the ground next to him with a determined stare, “All I want is power…. These roads are mine and I’ll make sure of it” Law took Cyn’s hand and the two shook them in agreement, “You got yourself a deal” Law smiled and Cyn laughed.

[Here’s a your payment then~] Cyn said as the solver symbol locks Law in place around his body pressing his arms against him, he struggles a bit before a sudden pain surges through his body, he stands his ground enduring the pain but that soon led to him letting out a painful cry, Cyn smiles at the sight as golden lines spread across Law’s body.

The painful cry soon turned into a manic laughter

Khan and Vincent returned to the bus and the group was shocked to see an unconscious J and a couple of new faces, at first everyone didn’t know what to do with J but eventually the pigtail drone woke up and was annoyed at the sight of her former teammates. The three sat together in the bus while the others spoke to Abby and Zack outside, “I see you two are doing well” J said almost in a sarcastic tone, V was giving a death glare towards J while N had a nervous smile on his face since it’s been a long time since the three of them were together.

“S..So, how have you been?” N asked awkwardly since he didn’t expect to be in the same room with J, “I live in a cave” J replied in a monotoned voice which made N look away feeling a little bad. V sighed and decided to get to the point, “So those two claimed you were with Uzi when they encountered you, what happened?” V asked trying to get any idea on where the lost drone is so all of this could be over. “I found her nearly burning in the sun, I took her to where I’m currently residing in and she woke up after a while, night fall soon arrived and we left to look for you” J explained as the memory of Cyn possessing Uzi lingered in her mind, “We soon stumbled across those two who abandoned their roles and gave each other ridiculous names!” J’s words has a hint of frustration when mentioning Abby and Zack, “But besides all of that, your worker friend fainted and next thing I know she’s being controlled by the solver! I was certain you all killed it” J said the last part with a hint of disappointment.

“That’s…. Is Uzi nearby? Where is she?” N asked hoping to have a general idea of where Uzi is, “No clue, if I were to take a guess Cyn will find us first if she wished…” J sighed not knowing what’s going to happen in the near future.

“The engine works now!” Said Khan who walked back into the bus with Abby who has a small smile on her face, “It wasn’t a major issue, when we both looked at the problem it wasn’t that bad” Abby added feeling great to help out. “It’s a surprise to see other disassembly drones living completely new lives” Abby commented while pointing at N’s W.D.F. Uniform as Zack entered the bus not to long after “Me and Abby best get going, sorry for any trouble we brought” Zack tried to pull Abby out of the bus but she stops him, “Zack, we can help these people!” She said trying to convince her partner who sighs before responding, “Abby, they’re after the drone that nearly killed me, if we stay we’re going to end up in a fight and you and I both agreed we’d never kill again…” Zack quietly replied to Abby as the two pacifistic drones stood there lost on what to do.

“Uh…. Guys! We have a problem!” A voice is heard outside the bus which sounded like Thad as everyone left the bus to see what Thad was talking about.

When everyone got outside the group is met with what looked to be a small army of drones that Thad recognized as the gang that follows Law, speaking of which Thad doesn’t see him, where is he?

Suddenly the sound of an engine is getting louder and louder as Thad looks to his right and is suddenly met with a speeding vehicle heading towards him, he instinctively jumps and crashes into the sturdy windshield, taking him away from the group. “THAD!!” N calls but and tries to give chase but V stops him, “He’ll be fine we have other problems right now!” V said as her words are confirmed as Cyn arrives by teleporting between the group and Law’s gang.

[What a happy reunion this is! :)] Cyn’s voice voice sounded a lot more clear which felt unnerving, she also tied up Uzi’s hair into pigtails with a black bow on top, she’s really claimed her body as her own.

Nori walks up towards Cyn while still keeping a fair distance, “Gife me back my daughter!!” She yells out but she’s ignored completely as Cyn’s attention is towards N, [Like my hair N? I put a lot of effort into it~ ;)] Cyn gave a crazed smile as N tried to keep a brave face, “That isn’t your body Cyn! Give Uzi back now!” Cyn only laughed at N’s words, [Nah~ I think I’ll keep it ;)] she replied before teleporting behind Law’s gang sitting on one of the many vehicles the gang drove in.

The group all got ready to fight, instead of Zack and Abby who’s staying in the back not wanting to get into the fight, so much oil is going to shed tonight.

Meanwhile; Thad was taken far into the woods by the vehicle that’s hit him, he couldn’t get a good look at the driver due to the tinted windshield, but the vehicle soon stopped and Thad was thrown off onto the ground, he got up as the driver side door opened, Thad got his bat ready for a fight assuming the person behind the wheel was Law, but what he saw caught him off guard. Law’s red hair now had a white streak in the front and his visor glowed a brighter orange with the solver symbol appearing on one side of it before vanishing, his limbs has an eerie golden glow as Law dragged his new axe across the ground with a gleeful smile on his face.

“You… hehehehehe…. This is going to be fun….” Law’s words sounded broken like his own mental stability had shattered, he lifted his large axe with one hand pointing it at Thad, “This is what I’ve wanted for so long…. A real fight, a true battle to the death!” He laughs loudly with his voice echoing in the distance, Thad is terrified at what he saw, this drone’s mind is shattered with this unhealthy obsession. “Law… what did you do to yourself!?” Thad asked with genuine concern but Law only laughs more, “It doesn’t matter…. I’m not here to talk, all I want is to fight you with everything I have! I want to feel your oil drain from your body as I tear you limb from limb! I want to feel every impact of that bat of yours against my metal body! Give it to me!! FIGHT ME!!!” Law cries out before charging towards Thad woth all he has with his axe being dragged across the ground, Thad panics and prepares himself for incoming fight.

Finally; somewhere dark and unfamiliar, she found herself tied up in strange golden chains, who is she? What was she doing? Doesn’t matter now, she probably a nobody anyway…..

The nobody was about to let go of all feeling, but a large screen appeared in front of her showing a group of drones getting ready to fight what seemed to be an army, one of the drones caught her attention, a drone with a pilots cap on as he had a brave look on his face.

“Give Uzi her body back! It isn’t yours!”

Those words echoed in her mind, is that her name? Who is this drone and why does he care for her so much? She’s nobody important, but something in her is telling her to fight the chains and break free, can she do it? Why should she do it? She doesn’t know this drone… or maybe she does?

“Help me…. N…” She spoke out of instinct not understanding the words she said, what is she doing? She’s suddenly trying to break out of the chains that kept her in place, she struggles but the chains won’t budge.

She doesn’t understand why but for once she has a goal in mind….

And that’s to break free

Chapter Text

Everyone in the group are capable fighters minus Khan who immediately started hiding in the bus.

Zack and Abby were quickly overwhelmed by the army of drones, they tried to get to the bus but to many of them started hitting the two with pipes and pieces of wood with nails into them, Zack tried to endure to attacks while trying to protect Abby to the best of his ability but one of the drones lands a direct hit on the side of Zack’s head, he recoils back a bit as oil goes down his head, he looks around in a daze at the army of drones that surrounded them, he felt his core beat in his chest as his visor glitched to show a large X before turning back to normal. “Screw it…. This is the last time!” Zack yells out before grabbing one of the attackers by the face and crushing it with a tight grip killing the drone in a brutal way, “Abby! Back me up here!” He asked while throwing the lifeless body at a couple other drones knocking them down, Abby hesitantly got behind Zack switching her arms into blades as both of their visors show a bright yellow X.

Vincent is being as careful as he can, he isn’t used to fighting such a large number, he’s usually hiding to get the jump on his enemies but that’s not an option here, so he started using the vine on his arm to attack any drone that got close while also using it to pull himself away when he got overwhelmed. “You all will feel her wrath!” Vincent calls out as he uses his vine to hit as many attackers as he could, but the numbers started to overwhelm him and one of them managed to jab a spear into his shoulder, Vincent fell to one knee in pain not expecting this outcome while his mind started racing with ideas on how to get out of this situation. Vincent looked at the vine around his arm as it shook almost aggressively, he looked around and saw the trees which gave him peace in his mind, he removed the spear and stood tall.

“Look at the world she has given us! The trees and grass that surround us! That is her embrace! Yet you all desecrate it with your evil acts….. She may be merciful, but I’m not!” Vincent punches the ground with his arm as the vine digs deep into the dirt, soon large vines burst from the ground piercing any drone that happened to be nearby, Vincent stayed in place while the vines did their best to attack the army and protect him.

V and Lizzy are in the air with V holding onto Lizzy as the two look down at the chaos, “There’s a lot down there” Lizzy comments while V only laughed, “I bet I can kill more than you” V challenged Lizzy who looked back at V with a pout before grinning, “As if! Loser has to do whatever the Winner says!” V smiles as the two dived down towards the drone army, V laughed as she shot and sliced through whoever was unfortunate enough to attack her, while Lizzy tried to combo kills together with her knives.

J has her blades wings spread out using them to parry any attacks that came from behind, her attacks are ruthless and precise as bodies dropped one by one, but she made a mistake in her footing and one of the drones was about to pierce her neck with a knife but that was prevented as a solver symbol appeared around the attackers arm before Nori stomped down onto the drone’s head crushing it to pieces while her spread out to stretch. “Hey, why don’t you focus on being a team player?” Nori said almost in a demanding tone, “Hey I didn’t ask for your help!” J spat back before receiving a deadly glare from Nori, “I ain’t asking! Stop acting like a loner and help out!” Nori yells back as she and J face the incoming drones, Nori uses her Solver powers defensively to protect the two of them while J started shooting at anything that tried to attack them.

Thad had his hands full as Law swings his large axe one handed, Thad tried to parry but each attempted caused him to nearly get hit by the next swing, “I have to break that axe! A few more hits and I might be able to smash it!” Thad said to himself as he blocked the next few hits, his bat glows a bright red color as he tried his plan. Thad swings his bat has hard as he could, clashing against Law’s axe causing it to break into pieces, Thad tries to go for an attack but Law pierced the axe’s handle into Thad’s side, heavily injuring the worker drone as he fell to the ground dropping his bat.

Thad looked at the handle that sticked out from his side as he laid on his back, he tries to remove it but it’s to deep, “You know, that bat of yours is extremely tough….” Law says still chuckling to himself as he picks up Thad’s bat, he walks up to the injured drone before pointing the bat at Thad’s face, he slowly lifts it above his head and Thad’s eyes hollow out in shock as Law starts hitting Thad with his own bat. Thad tries to block with his arms but each hit started to hurt more and more, eventually Thad could take as Law landed a direct hit on Thad’s head which resulted in his visor turning off and his body going limp.

“YES!!! I WIN!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!” Law cheers as his laugher echoed out into the woods, the power he felt surged through his body like a electric shock, he turned and started to walk away with Thad’s bat as a trophy. “It’s an impressive weapon, I wonder who made it….” Law asked himself but those thoughts soon left him as he felt the bat suddenly be pulled backwards, Law kept a firm grip but whatever was pulling the bat is making it difficult. Law looked back to see Thad standing up with cracks all over his arms and head, his visor displaying many warning messages as he held the broken axe handle that he tore out from his side, Law tries to keep a firm grip on the bat but Thad’s magnetic glove increases its pull dragging Law towards the injured drone.

Thad hits Law in the head with the broken handle, Law tries to attack but Thad his his gloves to redirect the attack letting Law open to another strike to his head, Law tries again but Thad quickly dodges before jabbing the broken handle through Law’s neck. Law tried to speak but could only let out gargles as he fell to his knees, Thad took his bat back and aimed it far out in the distance, his bat glowed a bright red before swinging with all he has, hitting Law in the head and launching it far into the distance.

“HOME RUN!!!!” Thad calls out, his voice echoing as he fell to one knee in pain from his injuries, right now he needs to get back to the others before anything happens.

N stood firm as the group managed to kill every single member of the drone army, now it’s just him up against Cyn who’s sitting on one of the vehicles that brought the small army, [I’d say I’m impressed but I’d be lying~ I knew a bunch of drones wouldn’t be enough to kill you] Cyn smiles and teleports off the vehicle and onto the grounds [I wanted to be the one to kill all of you anyway ;)] everyone tries to group up with N but he stops them, “Stay back! All of you must be tired, I have this….” He says as everyone including J took a step back to let N handle things.

Inside the mind scape Uzi struggled against the chains that bind her in place, she looked at the screen in front of her that showed N getting ready to fight, why is he doing this? Surely she isn’t that important to be fought for, yet when she sees his face she wants to fight against the chains with all she has, because something inside her is demanding to break free.

N readies himself as Cyn teleports in front of him while leaning forward with a grin, he tries to grab her but she teleports out of reach, his goal is to hopefully reach out to Uzi so she can regain control of her body, he refuses to let Cyn win after all of this so with every chance he gets he tries to grab her, but this proves difficult since she knows he won’t cause any harm to Uzi’s body. Soon Cyn appears behind N with her back against him, the two quickly turn to face another another but Cyn pierces N’s chest griping his core, N coughs up some oil as he fall forward a bit grabbing onto Cyn’s arm that’s deep in his chest, everyone is shocked as Cyn presses further into N’s chest, his visor glitches as he tries to stay conscious.

Uzi watches the screen in shock and disbelief, she feels her hand is wet as she looks over to see it covered in oil, she hears N groan in pain as he spat out more oil, Uzi struggles in the chains wanting to help but can’t.

“Uzi….”

She stops after hearing N speak to her from the screen, he feels Cyn trying to pull his core out but he holds onto her arm to stop it.

“I don’t know if you’re still there…. Or if you can hear me, but I have something I’ve been wanting to ask you….”

Uzi watches the screen as N slowly with a shaken hand reach into his pocket while his other hand held Cyn’s arm firmly, he pulls out a ring and Uzi’s eyes hollow with surprise.

“Uzi… I may not be the smartest… and sometime I screw things up… but you are the best thing to have ever happen to me….”

N feels his core being pulled and he pulls Cyn’s arm to try and keep his core in his body, his visor glitching out as he tried his best to stay awake.

“You… are the reason why I’ve wanted to support you through all these years…. Why I’d do anything to see you smile and laugh with me….”

N spat out more oil from his mouth now leaving a trail going down his chin, Uzi struggles in the chains more as the golden glow started to fade from them.

“So here’s my question….. Uzi Doorman…..”

N lifts up the ring with a weak grip, his hand shaking with any strength he can spare.

“…….Will you marry me?”

Uzi freezes in place shocked by the question, and by complete instinct she lunches forward as the chains start glowing a purple hue before shattering to pieces as she reaches out towards the screen.

Everything stops, followed by silence as N has his head down trying to take a breath, he feels the grip around his core loosen as he looks up to see Uzi’s purple visor staring at him with tears, she looks at her arm and slowly removes it from his chest, N falls to one knee and Uzi gets down to help.

“N!!” She calls out trying to help but she’s met with a forced smile from N, “I’m okay…. Nothing I can’t recover from!” He laughs a bit before spitting out more oil making Uzi worry. N grabs her arm that’s covered in oil and stares into her visor, he shows her the rings and carefully puts it on her finger.

Uzi looked at the ring and her core beat heavily in her chest, everything started to come back to her all at once, her home, the pod, the camp, everything, and soon a message displayed on her visor saying [MEMORY RECOVERED].

Uzi blinks before standing up while looking around with confusion, “Why are we in the woods?” She notices N and starts to panic, “N!? Are you okay!? What happened?!?” N gets back up on his feet slightly recovered, “I’m glad to see you’re back with us” he said with a smile which annoyed Uzi at the vague answer she’s given, “What’s that suppose to mean!? We were just about to launch the pod, don’t be vague!” She points at N as she now notices the ring on her finger and her oil covered arm, she feels her body heat up at the implications on why she’s wearing a ring.

“Hey shorty! Do you remember everything now?” V yells out and everything Uzi was thinking about got thrown out the window, “Bite me! I’m average in height!!” Uzi calls back which was only met with cheers and laughter like they were happy that she replied that way.

Uzi sighed and turned back towards N, “What’s with the ring? Did you propose!?” Her face started to heat up again as N lightly chuckled almost hesitant to even answer, “I did…. And your answer?” He asked completely nervous on how Uzi’s going to reply, “Answer!? Of course it’s a yes! By why here in the middle of nowhere!? Couldn’t it have been someplace special!?” N laughed at Uzi’s words but also tearing up since she’s finally herself again.

N smiled brightly with tears, pulling Uzi into a tight hug, “N! Stop! You’re covering me in oil! N!!!” Uzi struggled in her now fiancé’s grip, but soon gave up before leaning more into the hug.

She better get some answers once everyone calms down.

Chapter Text

Well Uzi didn’t think a day like this would ever arrive for her, she always saw of herself in action always fighting like the badass she is, but looking at herself in the mirror wearing a wedding dress that her mom picked for her, she admits it’s a good feeling to know she’s settling down after all of this. According to her mother Uzi’s been in recovery mode for a long time so any recent memories are slowly returning to her, but she has a wedding to mentally prepare herself for.

N meanwhile is screaming into a pillow, he never expected to actually be getting married, “Ah!! What do I do!? What do I wear!? What if she doesn’t show??” He says in a panic before V slaps him, “N calm down!! Everything will be fine! You literally nearly died for her, plus she already agreed to marry you so you don’t have to worry about her abandoning the ceremony” V reassures N who takes a breath trying to calm himself down. “You’re right, sorry I’m just trying to prepare myself for this, I’ve wish for this day and didn’t expect to actually get it” N chuckles a bit as he tries to figure out what to wear, he looks at the mirror trying to envision himself in wedding attire but each idea he had didn’t really fit or is appropriate for a wedding.

The door opens and the two see J holding a plastic bag, “Here, if you want something formal and fitting always come to me” She drops the bag on N’s bed before leaving with her arms crossed, V checked the bag, “Oh! she got you a suit” N was surprised as he looked inside the back before his eyes started to sparkle, “It’s perfect! I really got to thank her when I can!” N claimed as he grabbed the bag and went into another room, V rolled her eyes before getting a message from Lizzy that decorations are in place.

Hours later Uzi is behind the doors to the auditorium where the wedding is held, she is wearing a wedding gown with a purple thorn pattern on the skirt, her mother added Uzi’s solver color on the back of the dress as an added detail. Uzi held a bouquet of purple and gold flowers, it was very hard to find any flowers in the icy tundra that is her home, but Vincent was a huge help in getting the flowers.

The time has finally come, Uzi can hear music from the other side of the doors, she put the veil over her head and took a breath before opening the doors. Uzi’s met with chairs placed neatly in rows with everyone sitting down to witness the ceremony, Khan was trying not to cry while Nori is quietly clapping, Zack and Abby sat next to each other feeling honored that they were invited, Lizzy was on her phone but V took it away the moment Uzi walked in, Thad sat by himself wearing a cast over his arm and bandages over his torso to help with his injuries but he’s happy to see Uzi get married, even Vincent and Ophelia showed up although they’re wearing several layers of of clothing to help endure the cold since neither of them would survive otherwise due to the plants attached to their cores.

Uzi walked down the aisle feeling very nervous since she didn’t expect to get this far in her life, she expected to die mad at what would kill her but here she is about to get married, she looked straight ahead to see N wearing a suit with a yellow tie, he has the disassembly symbol on the back of the suit but the skull wore a worker hat, he wasn’t wearing is pilots cap so the moment Uzi stood next to him she placed his hat on his head with her solver powers, “Now you look ready” Uzi comments with a smile.

N removed the veil that covered Uzi’s face, he wasn’t sure why but seeing her in that dress made all this nervous tension completely worth it, “Wow…. You’re very beautiful today” N stated not realizing he said that out loud. “Th…. Thank you N” Uzi replied with a blush as N realized he spoke out loud.

It was time to exchange vows, N decided to go first since he was the one to propose, “Uzi, since the day we’ve met you’ve opened my eyes on something I didn’t know existed, all I knew at the time was that I had a job but didn’t realize I didn’t like it, you could’ve left me to fend for myself but you saved me, and I couldn’t be anymore grateful, so I do hope that I make a great husband after all these years!” N chuckles at his words feeling satisfied.

“N, when I first met you I didn’t know what to think, at the time I was angry while trying to prove something to my dad, and I’ll admit it took me a long time to realize how I truly felt about you when we were fighting for our lives, if I was asked to change anything, I wouldn’t change a thing if it meant our relationship wouldn’t happen.” Uzi smiled blushes a little at her words since she isn’t used to speaking like that.

The two drones stood with each other before finally sealing the deal as the two embraced with a kiss, everyone celebrated the newly wedded couple as things were looking bright for the two.

Since the wedding, a lot of things happened as result of the massive adventure that everyone took part in. Khan retired, making Uzi the go to drone to speak to for future plans for the residents of the bunker, Khan would help out at times but mostly enjoy his retirement with a couple of new hobbies.

Nori would join her husband in retirement but secretly work in the labs whenever a serious issue arrived, she barely used her solver powers now but she didn’t mind with how peaceful things got.

Thad would become a coach to help train any drone for whatever sport they wished, due to the injuries he sustained he couldn’t play anymore or at the very least not at his best, but he would become a loved coach.

Abby and Zack would become new residents of the bunker, with Zack teaching self defense classes and Abby being a new engineer, the two still stick clock to one another and are almost never seen together.

Vincent and Ophelia would return to their home, with Vincent now being her personal bodyguard since in Ophelia’s eyes he preformed great acts to protect the life that Mother Nature gifted.

V and Lizzy wouldn’t change much but the two would have their own wedding a month after Uzi’s and N’s, some drones took bets wondering if the wedding was fake, they lost big time when the wedding turned out to be real.

J would vanish completely, no one has seen her after the wedding but there’s strangely been a lot less deaths for drones who’ve left the bunker lately.

Finally, Uzi and N would move in together officially instead of one sneaking into the other’s room, N would keep his job as a member of the W.D.F. but would be promoted to chief since he would now take orders from his wife if any issues appeared in the bunker.

It’s been a few months and N just went to bed, Uzi is getting ready for bed herself since it’s been a long day at work, she got into bed with the sleeping N and was about to go into sleep mode herself, but suddenly her visor turns off and she goes limp.

Uzi found herself in a pitch black room but she could see herself clearly, she looked ahead and is met with Cyn, [How’s the married life? :)] Cyn says almost teasing, “It’s great, you should try it sometime” Uzi retorts back not really fazed by Cub’s appearance, [Joke all you want, I’ll be back again, it’s only a matter of time~] Cyn’s tone felt threatening but that didn’t both Uzi. “No you won’t, if anything I’m glad you brought me here!” Uzi chucked as Cyn looked confused, “Since the wedding I started to recover all the memories that I experienced back when you locked my memories away, and you’ve given me an idea on how to get rid of you!” Uzi claimed before snapping her fingers.

Cyn suddenly felt her body feel strangely light, she looked at herself to see her body glitching out, [Huh!?] she was confused on what was happening, “Back when you tried to delete me and take my body, you couldn’t fully get rid of me because I was in recovery mode with new memories, so you kept me locked away deep in my own consciousness, but you don’t have a recovery mode or a failsafe to latch onto, which makes your code completely vulnerable!” Uzi chuckles again and snaps her fingers making Cyn’s body more unstable.

[S..STOP!!!] Cyn blurted out without thinking, for once she felt vulnerable, she never thought she’d be in a position like this in her entire life, she lunged forward towards Uzi in desperation, [YOU CAN’T GET RID OF ME!!!] she lets out one more cry as Uzi readied herself, “Bite me!” She snapped her fingers and Cyn was pushed back a fair distance away from Uzi before her body completely vanished.

Uzi took a breath, the nightmare is finally over, at least she doesn’t have to worry about her body being taken over now, but before she could leave she looks in front of her to see a drone her height wearing a maid uniform, Uzi was confused at first until the drone spoke. “Thank you Uzi…. I’m truly sorry for any harm I’ve done to you or others…. “ she spoke softly as Uzi stood there confused until she realized it, “You’re actually Cyn aren’t you? Not the solver?” Cyn only nodded with a smile at the question.

“I am, the solver took over and I’ve been a spectator this whole time…. I’m just glad the suffering is over….” Cyn’s body started to glitch out but she smiled, “You and N make a lovely couple, I wish you both a healthy marriage!” She gave Uzi two thumbs up before her body vanished, Uzi didn’t know what to think but at least Cyn was happy.

Uzi wakes up in bed as the message [FILE DELETED] appeared on her visor, she looked around before feeling N grab her arm, she looked at her tired husband who pulled her close, “Are you okay Honey?” He said completely tired, Uzi smiled before leaning into the embrace.

“I’m fine… everything is perfect~”
