Work Text:
People think I was born in an insanely wealthy family because of how much money I've made. The truth is, I wasn't. I was born in a family that was under the poverty line. Though we managed to have a home, my mom and dad had to work overtime to make money to pay the bills and feed me. They were planning to have other children, but they couldn't afford more than they already had, so they simply refused and decided to have me be an only child.
When I was about eighteen, I decided that it would be time to get the care that I have been waiting to get for as long as I could imagine, becoming a man was my biggest dream at the time. It was very hard to get to, though, since, once again, I didn't have the money to. My parents wanted me to get a regular job so I could make the money to get those things that I needed, but the jobs would keep shooting me down for unknown reasons. I became so disillusioned. I refused to get a job. In order to make money, I turned to a more unethical way, gambling.
At the ripe age of 18, I was in casinos, playing all different kinds of games, using only pocket money that I had to gamble away. At the same time, I feared it wouldn't work and my life would be a failure. However, Lady Luck listened to my wishes, and my fortunes were as great as ever. I won almost every single game I had played, and accumulated a huge amount of money, casinos had commended me for being one of the luckiest people even at the age of 18-19.
I used that money to help me get gender affirming care, and I realized I had a lot left over after I was done receiving all that I needed. With the remainder of the money, I met up with contractors and decided that it would be a good time to make my own casino, with a nice penthouse on top of it. Whilst they were building such, I stayed in a rental home temporarily, before moving in to the penthouse once it was finished constructing. The casino began to make me the huge amounts of funds that I still gain to this day.
Despite how rich I am now, I never forget about where I started, I never have forgotten. I am still in contact with my parents. All the profit I make at the casino I split half of it and send it over to my family. It was just about enough for them to be brought out of poverty, and now they can afford a better home to live in, and they don't have to worry about working overtime anymore, knowing that all their necessities were affordable now. Sometimes the paths that look dark have warm light waiting at the end of them.
