Chapter Text
Welcome to Seabrook, a city located in New Hampshire in the United States.
Seabrook was considered to be the most perfect city in the Nation. If you were to visit everyone always seemed to be clean, polite, and a place where you’d want to be.
Or that’s how this city wants you to see it.
You see like any other city, Seabrook has no heavenly gates. It’s not perfect.
Like every city, country, state, or county. Seabrook had issues and not everyone was friendly, respectful, or polite. Like any other place, it had crime.
Like any other city, it wasn’t perfect.
However.
What made Seabrook stick out the most was its history, the skeletons that remained in the closet.
Before Humans, there were wolves.
Not just any other wolves. The close relative of the beloved wolf and attic wolf.
These wolves could take on the form of a human. These were called werewolves.
Where are the werewolves now? Humans took away the life source that they needed to survive. The Moonstone.
After the robbery of their Moonstone. Werewolves have run and hid in the Forbidden Forest, never to ever be seen by humans again. It is actually against the law to go into the Forbidden Forest.
After the disappearance of werewolves, Humans fully interested in Seabrook. Almost completely erasing its founders from its history. As if the werewolves have never been there in the first place.
The only thing that kept the werewolves' presence alive was the brief mentions of them in history books.
Ever since then, Seabrook had been Human only, and perfect.
Well, everything has to come to an end. Right?

She was a pretty decent person, with almost perfect grades, and crushed cheer camp after cheer camp. Daughter of the mayor and Chief of Police.
Addison looked at herself in her body-sized mirror while stroking her blond hair strands. She hummed a ton to herself as she looked over her outfit.
Addison wore a light blue short-sleeved dress that went past her knees. Around her waist, there was a white silk band that wrapped around her waist being tied into a small bow on the side. She wore simple white shoes with white socks that went right above her knees. On Addison’s ears were just simple diamond-shaped blue earrings.
She was running her fingers through the blond hair strands. She frowned when she noticed many strands of white hair peaking out from under the blond hair strands.
Well, that wasn’t decent or normal about her.
Addison had pure white ever since birth, the doctors can’t figure out where it came from. They say it’s a rare genetic thing that she has, but there was one issue with this.
Everyone in Seabrook was normal, well normal when it came to their appearances.
Addison having natural white hair would make her the odd one out, her parents had her wearing wigs for 14 years of her 16-year-old life.
Having anything that was considered odd in Seabrook made you a freak.
Addison quickly put the white hair strands back within the blond hair strands of the wig. Make sure to have it completely covered.
She shook her head, allowing a confident smile to spread on her face. She wasn’t a freak, just because he had white hair didn’t make her any less different.
”This is going to be my year.” Addison said to herself, her reflection in the mirror staring right back at her showing the same confident smile.
Feeling a sudden burst of energy, Addison began to do different cheer poses she had learned from her many cheer camps.
”Give me an SEA! Give a B! Give me an RO O K! It’s the first year of freshmen year for me, me, me!” She chanted in a cheerful tone.
This was going to be her first year at Seabrook High School, the greatest school in New Hampshire. It’s known for giving the best education to its students regardless of who they are or where they came from. Seabrook High School was a school that was hard to get into, anyone was lucky to be accepted.
Addison was super nervous about being accepted or not despite her good academic performance. Her parents knew she would be accepted which made Addison feel like she should know she was great enough to attend such a high school. But there were always those dark thoughts in the back of her mind.
So one could imagine her reaction when she received her acceptance letter.
However, her main goal that was at the top of her list for Seabrook High School was to be a part of their cheer team. The cheer team her cousin Bucky was the captain of.
Addison quietly laughed at the thought of how those cheerleaders managed to handle Bucky. From what she heard from others who attended the school. Bucky was known for being full of himself, which she could confirm was true for life outside of school as well.
Deciding that she was ready for the day, Addison walked away from her mirror with a hum going towards her bed to get her backpack.
”Addison! Come on!” At the sound of hearing her mom, Missy Wells. Addison quickly grabbed her background.
”Coming Mom!” She yelled back, she swung her backpack over her shoulder before running out of her room, closing the door behind her.
When Addison reached the dining room, she saw both of her parents already there. Her father Dale Wells, sat on one of the few white chairs that circled their medium-sized table. He was reading a newspaper with an empty cup of coffee in front of him on the table.
Missy turned her head to look at Addison from where she was sitting across from Dale. A gentle smile spread across her face at the sight of her daughter. Dale a few seconds later looked up at Addison with a small smile of his own.
”Hello sweetie.”
”Hi Addison, are you ready for your first day?”
Addison nodded her head slowly while fidgeting in her place slightly. “Yeah I’m ready I think..”
Missy frowned at the sight of that. “Addie, what did we say about your self-doubt?” She asked.
Addison immediately stopped and stayed in place. She laughed nervously.
”Sorry Mom, habit.”
Missy just waved her off with a smile. “No worries, just remember you’re going to do amazing.”
”And you’re going to get the best grades like you always do.” Dale added. Missy nodded in agreement.
”Yes she is!”
Addison sighed, she loved her parents and knew they meant well. But for some reason when it came to her academics, it felt like there was always a weight on her shoulders.
Still, she displayed a confident smile to hide her nervousness.
”Yes I am!” She said confidently which made her parents both light up.
“Are you still trying out for cheer? All those cheer camps weren’t for nothing.” Dale said putting his newspaper on the table.
Addison nodded. “Of course I am dad, I worked hard for the cheer team.”
”Yes you did.”
Missy laughed before shaking her head. “Alright Addison, it’s time for you to head out.”
Dale stood up from his seat, “Yes, you don’t want to be late for your first day of school.”
Addison gulped as she nodded. “Right.”
This was happening, she was about to go into one of the best schools in the state.
‘I hope I can meet their expectations..’
€•—•€
At first, Addison was just a little nervous.
Now she is actually nervous.
It was so big, with beautiful colors of white, light green, light pink, and hints of light blue. The spotless, clean glass reflected everything!
It looked nice, too nice. The outside of the school would make any other building in Seabrook look plain and simple when that was far from the case.
But the inside.
The inside was huge!
Everything was clean from the floor up, the students chatted amongst themselves as they waited for their first-period class to start. Addison technically didn’t stick out but for some reason, she felt like some eyes were watching her.
Well in her defense, she was immediately recognized. She heard some statements from students as she walked down the long hallway, looking for one of the two people she was familiar with.
“Is that Addison Wells?”
”Isn’t that the mayor's daughter?”
“She looks so pretty!”
Addison felt a small smile come to her lips, she often stayed out of the public eye when her mother was in the public eye. Not only did the attention make her a little comfortable, but her mother was protective of her especially when it came to being ‘The mayor's daughter.’ Her mother wanted Addison to live life no differently than other kids, she didn’t want Addison to be in the public eye at all. Which Addison appreciated but that didn’t stop people from recognizing her.
They only recognized her from pictures some people caught of her with her mom. She can’t say she doesn’t mind because she does. But Addison just learned to get used to it.
Now don’t get Addison wrong, she was a very social person. It’s just that she wanted to live a normal life and not be known because of her mother.
She didn’t like it when she was recognized because of being the mayors daughter. She can’t blame her mom for that but it for annoying over time.
Now as Addison wondered the school she wondered if she could fine-
”Addie!” Came the voice of her cousin, Bucky Buchanan. Addison let out a sigh of relief at a familiar voice.
She turned around to see Bucky waving at her in front of a locker she assumed to be his. He was with 3 people who she knew to be the Acey’s. Lacey, Jacey, Stacey, and Tracey. She recognized them from the past encounters she had during the summer when she hung out with Bucky. They weren’t close to her like they were to Bucky, but they remained neutral.
“Bucky!” Addison called out, she walked over to Bucky who immediately wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
”Hey cousin, our first year at Seabrook how ya feelin’ so far?” Bucky asked with a smirk. They were both the same age and both freshman, it made Addison feel a little better she would see him around often.
”Kind of nervous to be honest..” Addison said with a nervous laugh.
Bucky shook his head. “Do not fear my dear cousin, your good cousin here is the most popular kid here! And I’ll show you the ropes!” He pointed to himself with his left hand with a proud smile.
Addison and the Acey’s stared at him, Bucky was known to be full of himself. While they appreciated his self-confidence, he could be overconfident as well.
Bucky noticed something. He frowned as he unwrapped his right arm from around Addison’s shoulders. He stood between her and the Acey’s looking between them.
”Well don’t just stand there and be rude. Say hi to each other!”
”Hi guys.” Addison said with a polite smile and wave of her hand. The Acey’s smiled back at her.
”Hi Addison!”
”Hey girl.”
”Hello!”
”What’s up?”
”Thats better.” Bucky said with a huff. “Now Addie, what’s your first period?”
Addison hummed before replying. “I have Algebra first.”
”Aww, you won’t be with your cousin. But that’s okay, as the mayors daughter some of these kids might just like you!” Bucky said while patting Addison‘a shoulder.
”I don’t want them to like me just because of being the mayors daughter Buck,” Addison said with a sigh.
”Well no matter like these kids are going to like you! You’ll see.”
Addison smiled at Bucky’s interesting way of encouragement but she really appreciated it.
”Thanks Bucky, I need to go. I’ll see anny of you around?”
Bucky waves his hand while looking at the Acey’s who nodded. “Duh, I can’t leave my cousin alone.”
“Yeah girl, don’t worry, you’ll be just fine.” Stacey said with a smile. Jacey, Tracey and Lacey all nodded.
”I hope so,”
€•—•€
She had to admit it to herself, running into Bucky helped make her nervousness go down. Her first period class didn’t start yet so she took it upon herself to continue walking around to school.
So far she thought it was very pretty and very really spacious. The colors of this school seemed to often be light green, light pink, and white. There was the occasional light blue every now in then though.
Addison also thought the decor looked very nice and could tell there was work put in to make everything look in place. She found herself admiring a specific part of the school though.
’Prawn Kings and Queens.”
It was a case that held all pictures of the Prawn Kings and Queens throughout the years. Addison admires the outfits, hair, and style of every pair. She almost found herself imagining if she would ever be on there one day.
She was to busy looking at the case that she didn’t notice that a familiar someone was calling her name.
”Addison Wells!”
“Ah!” Addison shrieked, she turned around and the person she saw made her gasp.
”Bree!”
“Hello Bestie!” Bree greeted back opening her arms wide allowing Addison to run into them, giving her a big hug.
Addison and Bree have been best friends since Middle School, Bree also went to the same cheer camp as Addison and she did great as well in cheer champ. They had many of the same interest and they just hit it off great as best friends.
Addison was so glad that Bree is also going to Seabrook High School, she knew Bree deserved it just as anyone else and she worked hard to be here.
Plus it was good to have a second familiar face who she was glued to the hip.
”I was looking all over for you girl! This school is huge!” Bree said separating herself from Addison who laughed in response.
”I know, the size alone made me nervous.” Addison said.
”Now, let’s not the size scare us Addie, we’re going to be just fine.” Bree said while waving her hand with a smile that made Addison’s own smile grow a little.
”But I’m nervous too, but I found you now I feel a whole lot better.” Bree admitted rubbing the back of her head with a nervous laugh.
”What’s your first period class?” Addison asked.
”Algebra, my arch nemesis.” Bree sighed.
”Oh me too! That’s good then.” Addison with a head shake at Bree’s clear disinterest of math. She couldn’t blame her, she disliked math herself.
As if on cue, the bell rung. Both Addison and Bree groaned.
”Well, let’s go to he- I mean Algebra.” Bree said with the most fakest smile Addison had ever seen. Addison nodded.
”Yeah let’s go.”
Maybe this year at Seabrook wouldn’t be as bad after all.

Chapter Text
Algebra went fine, since it was their first day. The teacher Mr. Dior really only did introductions to himself and the class and what the students could expect from it.
Addison was never a fan of math, while she was decent at it. She could agree with the students that groaned when they learned all of the modules, topics and such that Mr. Dior would throw their way the entire school year. She was disappointed to know it was a year long class. But at least Bree had to suffer the same fate.
Much to Bree’s disgust for math.
They walked side by side to find their lockers, which just so happened to be in the same area as their Algebra class, so it wasn’t a far walk. Unlike other classes that happened on the complete other side of the school.
The lockers looked nice, but could use some flare as Bree pointed it out. Addison agreed and she knew the students were allowed to decorate their lockers however they wanted as long as they did not put stickers or paint on the lockers. That made Addison have many thoughts about how she wanted her locker to stick out from the other students.
Before the two split for their second period classes, Bree had asked about the cheer tryouts.
”We’re still trying out for the cheer team aren’t we Addie?” Bree closed her locker after putting her unneeded stuff it, she turned to Addison who had a smile with a nod.
”Of course, we worked hard to join the cheer teams didn’t we? We’re not going to throw our opportunity away.”
“Yeah you’re right, do you know when are tryouts?” Addison taped her chin in thought.
”I’m not sure, Principle Lee hasn’t said anything about tryouts yet. But I’m sure we’re both going to get on it! I mean we crushed cheer camp after cheer camp after all.” Addison dramatically flipped a strand of her hair behind her back with a confident grin which earned a giggle from Bree.
“You right girl, you right!”
”Of course I am.”
”I don’t know about that now.” Bree rolled her eyes, “What’s your next class anyways? I have English II.”
If Addison had dog ears and a dog tail, they would have flopped down in sadness and disappointment.
”I have American Goverment…” she mumbled.
Bree gasped dramatically before rushing to Addison wrapping her arms around the blonde-haired girl.
”Girl we’re going to be separate until lunch!” She complained.
Addison nodded, before she could say anything else that traitorous bell rang.
She sighed, “I guess I’ll see you at lunch Bree.”
Addison sat at her desk looking at the teacher Mrs. Wilson, she was indeed paying attention to some of what she was saying. It was mainly an introduction to the class, but if Addison had to be honest she was also in her own thoughts.
She was thinking about her future here at Seabrook High, not just the benefits but the cons.
From what she could tell on her first day, this high school challenged those who attended, the classes she was in were quite challenging alone, she couldn’t imagine the other dozens of classes that were available.
Addison had heard that this school did an amazing job at testing the boundaries of their students and how far they could test the students. Addison loved that she wouldn’t be treated delicately like she was often treated, and she would be put to the test.
But their was always that dark part of her mind that kept telling her she couldn’t do it.
She didn't know why she was feeling this way, she crushed Middle School with good grades, crushed so many cheer camps and was a decent person. But something about this school, made her feel doubtful.
Maybe it was because this was her freshmen year, and it was normal to feel these things when you’re starting a new school, with new people and new challenges.
Addison shook her head and focused back on the board and the teacher. She didn’t have time to think negatively, she needed to focus on her academics but..
What if she couldn’t do it?
Addison gently pinched herself to get herself to snap out of it. Something she often did when she was thinking in a negative way.
She could do it. Like her parents always said.
”You’re our daughter Addie, you can do anything and everything.”
She could do it, she just had to try harder and harder. And if she did fall she would just pick herself right back up.
She wouldn’t fall, she refused to do that, her parents also refused to see her fall.
”Ms. Wells, what is the matter?” The teacher called, that snapped Addison out of her thoughts. She saw the teacher in front of the classroom with her eyes solely on Addison, a couple of students also looked at her.
Addison smiled nervously with a wave of her hand. “N-Nothing Mrs. Girson, I’m sorry.”
Mrs. Girson gave her a look not looking convinced but she decided to let it go.
”It’s okay, just please focus and pay attention.” She said with a smile which turned Addison’s nervous smile into a more gentle small smile.
”I will.”
”Okay class, back to the topic.”
Addison currently sat at a lunch table, talking and laughing with Bree. Bucky and his friend group was at the table next to them but they were more or so doing their own thing.
”How was American Government Adde?” Bree plopped a red grape in her mouth then chewed it up.
”It was okay, it doesn’t seem as bad as I thought it would be, how about US History?” Bree groaned which made Addison giggle a little at her best friend's dislike for History.
Bree wasn't a fan of math or history based classes. She didn't mind other classes but math was difficult to understand at times. For history its not that she didn't like learning about the history of nations or anything, it was just a lot to take at once.
“Addie, it sounds like its going to be a lot.” Bree replied, not doing a good job of hiding the slight annoyance behind her voice.
“It can't be that bad Bree, I think it'll be good to learn about the history of this country.” Addison took a piece of the steak they were given for lunch, placing it in her mouth. Enjoying the savory taste of it.
“I know, I know, it’s just a lot to take in.”
To Addison, everything in this school was a lot to take in.
Really, this school was so complex and seemed so challenging. But Addison wouldn’t allow those thoughts to flow in her mind again.
”Helloooo earth to cousin!” Addison yelped, then spun around to see Bucky looking at her with a smirk.
”Oh Bucky! Sorry couldn’t hear you.” Addison smiled at the sight of her cousin.
“I know, you zoned out! But that’s okay, just wanted to let you two ladies know cheer try outs are for next week!”
Both Addison and Bree had to let out squeals, that was the news that they both wanted to hear.
”We’re definitely going to be there!” Bree said confidently, Stacey who was beside Bucky laughed at their excitement. While Lacey just smiled at the enthusiasm.
”We can’t wait to see you two there, we already know both of you will crush the try outs.” Lacey said with a thumbs up.
”And don’t think because you have cousin and friend privileges think I’ll give you two special treatment.” Bucky waved his index finger, which just made the two girls laugh quietly.
”I know Bucky, you’ll try to be fair.” Addison rolled her eyes playfully.
As fair as Bucky can get at least.
She heard Bucky’s dramatic gasp but her mind blocked it out. Probably due to the excitement and the nervousness that came back.
Next week was the try outs. This was one of the few reasons why she was excited to attend this school.
She just hoped she could meet the standards..
