Chapter Text
“I love you guys…” Were Blitzø’s last words to his family of friends. Only he didn’t hear it, Stolas was too late to hear Blitzø’s words. And he was too late to save the one he loved. Stolas dropped to his knees, tears filled his eyes as he cried. His light was gone, his happiness. They never got their happy ending. And they never got to apologize to each other.
After the fight over their feelings, Stolas went to Verosika’s party. That outcome only ended in heartache too. Stolas was too drunk and didn’t care what he did. Now he was cursing himself for ever dancing with that other guy. ‘I should’ve stayed sitting with you Blitzø, I’m so sorry. I never dreamed it would be the last time I’d see you.’
Andrealphus gave an evil grin, his plan had worked. He was able to break Stolas, soon the Imp fucking traitor would be tossed to the flames just like the Imp before him. As Stolas sobbed on his hands and knees. Andrealphus walked around him smirking as he took in the gorgeous view. “You see Stolas, this is what happens when you mess with my sister’s feelings. You thought your dirty little secret wouldn’t get out.”
“S-Shut UP!!…”
“It must truly sting knowing you allowed all of this, Stolas.”
P-please j-just stop…” Stolas begged once more, this time slamming his fists into the rock floor.
Tell me my dear brother-in-law. Should I freeze the pieces of your former lover Imp? Maybe somehow you could reattach his head and bring him back to life?” Andrealphus started laughing at his joke, mocking Stolas as feelings of loss grew stronger.
Stolas felt the burning in his heart growing stronger. His anger growing hotter with every insult Andrealphus said to him. Stolas had lost the only one in his life that made him happy and gave him a will to live. He still loved his daughter more than anything, but losing Blitzø broke him in a way no one thought possible.
Satan yawned, he was growing tired of this little family squabble. “Are we about done here? Because we really need to move on to better things.”
“That’s right Stolas, it’s time to stand up and clean up the mess you made. Take that horrid Imp and burn his worthless hide!”
Those were the last words Andrealphus ever said, because what happened next was nothing like anyone had ever seen before in hell.
With his eyes closed, Stolas slowly stood. His thoughts now gone as his body transformed into his demon form. But unlike before, red hot flames consumed his dark form as well. Flames that were hotter than hell itself. Even slowly melting the rock floor below him.
Vassago was quick to act, the keeper of the stars saving the Imp’s body and head along with his friends outside the huge doors. Surely the Imp deserved a proper burial. And his friends deserved to live as well. Vassago would see to Stolas, after his rage cooled down. If it ever did. With his magic, Vassago returned the group to the IMP office.
He had magically wrapped Blitzø’s body and head in a red cloth and handed it to Loona. With a bow, Vassago gave his apology. “I am truly sorry for your loss. Please know I’m here for all of you. My name is Vassago. Stolas my distant brother and honestly I wish I knew what was happening sooner.”
Loona tried to speak through the tears, but just couldn’t. Millie had stepped up, placing a hand on Loona’s arm. “Thank you, Vassago.”
“The Imp has an Asmodean Crystal, right? If you need anything just place your hand on the stone. And say my name, and I’ll come.” Please stay safe, and once again I am sorry.”
Vassago had returned to the court of hell. Only to find it destroyed. “Puta madre!” (Holy fuck) Vassago cursed. Even Satan was a bit mangled up in the debris. Vassago feared the worst after seeing such a disaster. ‘This is unbelievable, I’ve never known a Goetia to have this much power. I must find him inmediatamente.’ (Immediately)
Never before had Stella back away from Stolas, but on this day she actually stepped back. There was a darkness that surrounded him like never before. Even his eyes glowed a much darker red. “Tell me Stella, do you like the new me? After all it is by you and your brother’s doing. That I have become the monster I am.”
Stella stepped back only to be stopped by the palace wall behind her. “S-Stolas, now remember I’m still your wife. And besides, my brother is more powerful than you will ever be.” Stella said, her smartass attitude now returning.
Stolas smirked as he took Stella by her throat, slightly lifting her up. “Oh my dear EX-wife, your brother does not scare me at all. You both are nothing to me! Oh wait that’s right, your brother already lost to me. It looks like that only leaves you.” As Stolas talked his grip tightened around Stella’s throat, cutting off her air.
“That’s enough Stolas, enough blood has been shed today.”
Stolas head turned completely around, just like a normal owl’s head would do. “Vassago, and do you think you will stop my revenge?”
“No Stolas, there is only one who can save you from yourself. In time he’ll come, till then you must know I will not allow you to act on pure vengeance and hate. I don’t think that Blitzø would want you to turn this way.”
Stolas released Stella, turning to face the macaw. “Do…not ever speak…his name again! You have no right to say his name, he was mine. And they took him from me!” Stolas pointed to Stella unaware that she had slowly escaped.
Vassago stood tall, he knew his limits and he also needed to find this new Stolas’s limits. “I know now that the Imp meant a lot to you. I can see now he was the very light that kept you on the right path. I understand losing him has torn you apart. Please allow me to help you, I can ease the pain.”
Stolas started to breathe heavily, his anger growing once more. Still Vassago could see the old Stolas deep within those dark crimson red eyes. ‘He’s still there, just buried under all that hate and loneliness.’
“I do not want your help.” Stolas seathed out. “I want you gone now. I want to finish off anyone who dares try and stop me. I want to make the ones who took everything from me suffer long and hard. And if you try to stop me Vassago, I won’t hesitate to eliminate you as well!”
Vassago bowed to the prince. “I have no doubts that you wouldn’t, but I may be a little more bird than you can handle, My dear Stolas.” With a snap of his fingers Vassago had vanished.
The anger, still strong in the broken owl. And for a brief moment, his weakness showed though. Falling to his knees, and grasping his the feather’s on his head tightly as he gave a very loud cry of pain. His heart skipped a beat and his mind went blank. All was lost to him now, only the vision remained strong in his mind. The feeling of never holding the one he loved so very deeply was gone. They never got their happy ending all because….
Slowly Stolas stood and fixed his cape, his composure back to his wicked dark path once again. “They will pay dearly for what they did, my light is gone and now the darkness has captured my heart, mind and soul. Vassago is wrong, there is no one who can save me from this darkness. It will devour my soul until I am no more. I will no longer be weak.”

Chapter Text
Stella quickly made it to Octavia’s room. The young princess was listening to her music when her mother entered. Octavia could tell something was very wrong. “Mom, what is it? Did something happen to dad?!” Only before her mother could answer, Stolas had entered the room.
Octavia froze. Surely this was not her father. Her dad never wore a black tunic with a dark crimson cape. And the dark magic that surrounded him was even making Octavia feel sick. Most likely because of her own demonic powers. ”Well, well if it isn’t my sweet owlet, Octavia sweetie tell me how are you feeling? I can see you look terrified. Please know I could never hurt you.”
Octavia’s own magic began to spike as she looked at her mom. She could tell her dad had already done something to her. “Mom what happened? Did dad…hurt you?”
Stella stayed quiet, unsure of just how far this new Stolas would go. And Andrealphus where was he at? “I’m fine Octavia, there’s nothing to worry about.”
Stolas’s eyes latched onto Stella. He was watching her very closely. Octavia started to pick up on this and decided to confront her father. “What has happened to you dad? Did that imp do this to you?! I knew he was no good and now look what he’s do…”
Smack!
There was a split second, that you could see the old Stolas fighting with himself. Trying to push his anger away and comfort his daughter. How could he have just hit his daughter, his Starfire. But his mind quickly fought back, as an image of his beloved Blitzø flashed in his mind. And once again his anger took over.
Octavia held her cheek with her hand shaking. Never before had her father stuck her. Slowly she looked up at her dad. His eyes glowed an even darker crimson red than before. Stolas moved quickly, now standing only inches from her face. “Do…not…ever speak ill of him again!”
“Or what? You’ll hit me again? You’re not my dad, what did that fucking little red jerk do to you?”
The range started to boil inside of Stolas. His past self falling deeper into darkness. “I told you not to mention his…” Stolas was about to hit Octavia again, but there was nothing. Octavia had closed her eyes expecting a hard hit. Only it never came, instead she found herself among the stars.
“Hola Octavia, I trust you remember me?”
Octavia froze, it had been many years since she saw the macaw. And she wondered why he would come now. “V-Vassago, but why are you here?”
“Well my dear niece, why else. To save your father of course.”
Octavia turned her back to the red bird, as she wiped her eyes with her sleeves. “That’s not my dad, I don’t know who that man is. I know my dad would nev…” Octavia wrapped her arms around herself as she started to cry again. What just transpired between her and her father was something she never felt from her dad.
Vassago took a minute before resting a hand on Octavia’s shoulder. “My dear you need to understand, your dad has suffered an unimaginable loss. He needs both of us now to help him fight the darkness in his heart.”
“Forget it! He doesn’t deserve to be saved, not after what he did. I will never trust him again. I knew that imp would take him away from us. Dad always wanted to be with him, never thinking how me or even my mother felt. He’s…he’s just a liar, and I hate him for it.”
“My dear Octavia, please. You don’t understand why your father is this way. Please allow me to explain things. You may see your father as one that betrayed you. But he didn’t, he truly does love you.”
“Yeah well the way he was always wanting to suck that imp’s face. Has me thinking differently. He only cared about being with him. That’s why when we went to Loo Loo Land that time, he had the imp come along. It wasn’t for protection, it was so he could satisfy his sick fantasies.”
Vassago sighed heavily, this was indeed going to be hard. He had hoped Octavia knew a little about her father’s past. But he soon realized, the young owl knew nothing of her father’s life. “Octavia, do you know your mom and dad were arranged to marry when they were mere children?”
Octavia turned facing Vassago. “What? You mean dad was forced to marry mom. Does this mean that all this time, their marriage was loveless?” Octavia started thinking back, trying to remember when she really saw her mom and dad happy together. But no memories were there.
Vassago lowered his head. “You are correct, Octavia. I have watched your father struggle to keep this family together. Because he truly wanted to give you the best life possible. Please Octavia, you need to understand something. Your father loved that imp, more than you’ll ever know. And it wasn’t because he wanted out or to get away from you. He just wanted to be with the one who made him happy. And I know he would’ve wanted you to be apart of that life too. ”
“Okay, so why isn’t he with the dumbass then? Why is he here acting so violent and angry?”
Vassago pulled a shining star from his inside breast pocket. Reaching out he took her hand and placed the star inside it. Because all that is left of the imp is a headless body and his soul inside this star. “
Octavia froze; she didn’t believe Vassago’s words. “N-No I don’t believe you. I don’t believe that imp was any good, he took dad away from us. Everything was fine until he showed up.”
Vassago could sense Octavia’s powers grow stronger. Her emotions were the trigger that brought them to the surface. But he was sure that Stolas had only trained his daughter a little on controlling her powers. “Via I want you to listen to me, and I know you don’t want to believe me. Still I know you love your father very much. But right now you’re still angry.”
“I’m not angry, I'm frustrated and I hate what my father has become. I don’t care if the imp is headless. He deserves it for what he did to my family.”
“Octavia, do you understand that the only way to get your father back is by training with your powers? And if it is your desire to save your dad. Then listen to what I ask of you in helping me.”
Octavia crossed her arms and hmph. ”Fine whatever.”
“Good now, I want you to open your heart and release your powers. And this will explain more than I ever could.“
Octavia hesitated, before pulling her hand away she had never done anything like this before. “I-I don’t know if I should. W-What is that thing?”
Vassago smiled, as he reached for her hand once more. “Here let me help.” Vassago rested the star between Octavia’s hands. Her left hand on the bottom and her right hand on the top. While Vassago rested his hand on top of her’s. “Now just close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. That’s it, now relax and just think about the star in your hand.”
Octavia did as she was told and soon she felt a warm feeling between her hands. “S-Somethins happening?!”
“Shh, easy. Just relax and let the warmth follow through you. Let it connect with your own powers.”
“I’m right here to guide you my dear.” Octavia wanted to open her eyes. She knew that voice, it was her dad’s voice.
“Dad is that you? How I’m with Vassago and you, you’re not this version of you anymore.“ Colors started to swirl around in her mind. Her powers had connected with the ones in the star. “I-I don’t understand how is this possible?”
Her powers opened up connecting with her mind. It started showing her something after a few seconds his image appeared. “Oh my dear Octavia, your powers sure have grown.. Look at you opening up a star portal like it’s nothing.“
“Dad?” Octavia asked, only the image wasn’t her father and as the voice spoke she soon realized. “The fucking imp, what the hell are you doing in my head?”
The image became clean now the imp was sitting on a rock his legs dangling over the edge and he was just sitting there looking off into nothing. “What do you mean why am I here? I should be asking you that fucking question.”
“What the actually hell? Isn’t this my mind or something we’re in? Why would I be thinking about you?”
The imp on the rock laughed. “Well you see Octavia I’m only a soul in a star. And right now you’re in the star with me.”
Octavia froze, what was the meaning of this why did Vassago bring her here? Was it some sick game to make her see the one who took her dad from her? “I don’t want to see you! You’re the one who took my dad away. You ruined my family, you took everything from me! I…I…I hate you!”
The imp jumped down from the rock and walked up to Octavia. “You know Octavia, I don’t blame you for hating me. Fuck, I even hate myself. But I can’t fix everything that I broke. I just hope in time you might forgive me enough to at least let me help fix your dad.”
Octavia scoffed at the imp’s words. How she hated that disgusting little red dickhead! “Ha! Like he needs you? It’s because of you that he’s like this now. He’s never hit me before, but now he’s changed. And it’s all because of YOU asshole!”
Octavia’s anger caused her to lose her concentration and soon she was facing Vassago once more. “What the hell was that?”
“That was you losing concentration, because of your anger. I was hoping you would’ve been able to continue the vision, but I guess it’s for another day.” Vassago removed the star from Via’s hands and placed it back into his pocket.
“Another day? What do you mean another day, I don’t want to see that horrible imp ever again! And I don’t know why you think I have too. He’s not important, fixing my dad is.”
Vassago smiled at Octavia. “That my dear is where you will learn you are wrong. And I do hope you keep an open mind while using your powers. What if I told you the imp isn’t the bad guy here. Think about this Octavia, would your father get that close to just anyone for no reason?”

Chapter Text
Octavia had refused to go on with Vassago’s training. He wasn’t her dad, he couldn’t make her do shit! And as for her dad, in Via’s mind it was too late to change things. To her the imp caused all of this and she’d be damn if she’d listen to a word that soul in the star said.
As for Stella, Stolas was making sure she suffered. He was going to make her pay for what happened. He had suffered years of abuse from this vile woman and now. He was making good on his part to repay her for all those times. He had even gone so far as to forcing himself on her one night, after her words of hate once again about the imp that had ruined their marriage. “Now Stella, how does it feel to just lie there in bed and be fucked by the one you hate? And knowing they hate you just as much?”
There was no answer, only even more hate and anger. Stella wasn’t so easily broken, unlike Stolas was before the darkness hit. With her brother dead, there was one other who might be able to help her. “Don’t worry, I’ll get that birdie for ya. And I’ll make sure to give him an extra long beating this time.”
After returning Octavia back to the palace, Vassago checked in on IMP. The little group was still at a loss, but they continued the business just like their boss would’ve wanted them too. They were surprised to see him return without them calling, but he had his reasons. “I’m afraid it’s not going well with Octavia, I had hoped she’d help me bring Stolas back to his old self. But she won’t listen to me or the soul in the star. I just hope we don’t lose her to her own magic as well.”
Millie and Moxxie looked at each other confused by the macaw’s words. “Something tells me there’s more going on here than just Stolas turning evil?” Millie said, as she got closer to Vassago. She could tell he was stressed, meaning it was very serious.
“I suppose I should start with Stolas and why he has been consumed by darkness so easily. First off I must say after the events at the trail I looked into some things. Mostly Stolas’ past, which is something I rarely do. But I needed to see what had happened to turn him so easily.”
Millie spoke up not really wanting to interrupt. “The break up with Blitzø probably didn’t help. I know it really got to Blitzø, he locked himself in his office for a month.”
Vassago raised an eyebrow after hearing this. “Really? How interesting, I did not look into the imp’s past. There really wasn’t anything there that would explain much. But it does help to know this information. And I can say for sure that the effects of the fight did have a major role on Stolas too. I’m guessing the two never had a chance to talk things out. Or even make amends on the matter?”
Millie shook her head no. “Blitzø always struggled with his emotions, and I’m sure he still doesn’t know how Stolas could love him. It took him a long time to open up to me about things. I think he feels like, if he opens up he might lose what he has. That and every time he gets close to someone. Something bad usually happens, so he puts the blame on himself.”
Vassago listened to what Millie said, and along with what he learned from Stolas’ past he had pretty much put everything together. “Well this explains a lot, but as I was going to say at the beginning. With everything that has happened to Stolas over the years, and with losing the one he truly loved. Basically murdered in front of him, before they could reconcile. His emotions broke and when that happened his magical powers turned dark.”
Millie suddenly realized something. “Wait, so how do we fix this? When he won’t listen to anyone or let us near him like this. Not to mention we can’t even say Blitzø’s name without him killing us.”
Vassago looked at each member of the IMP group, before he continued. He wasn’t sure how they would react to what he had to say. “Well Millie, there is actually only one who can save Stolas. One imp that is, and this is where it gets tricky.”
From inside his jacket pocket, Vassago pulled out the soul star. The IMP group marveled at this mysterious star. “Wow! That’s beautiful.” Millie said wanting to reach out and touch it.
“Not so fast Millie, this is a magical star. If you touch it you will be burned alive.” Millie froze before quickly pulling her hand away. But there is one who might be able to touch it? Loona, you have used the Grimoire, am I right?”
Loona just shrugged her shoulders. “Yeah, so what’s the big deal?”
Thinking for a minute the macaw decided maybe it would be worth a try. “Would you be interested in assisting me with the star for a moment?”
Loona simply rolled her eyes, and continued to scroll through her phone. She wasn’t interested in shit right now. Her dad had just been decapitated. Plus talking wasn’t her thing, she was more of a take action hound.
“I see, well. Let’s see what happens if I relieve you of this device.” With a wave of his hand, Loona’s phone floated towards him. Only before the phone reached him, Loona had grabbed him by the front of his jacket. She growled as she lifted him off his feet, making the macaw smile. ‘That a girl Loona, bring forth your powers.’ And as he hoped, the star reacted to her powers. The star in Vassago’s hand started to pulsate a light yellow glow.
“What the fuck is this shit!” Loona cursed as she set Vassago down. “I don’t know what for game you’re playing feathers, but I’m not buying it.”
Millie quickly took the hellhound by the arm. “Loona, please maybe you should listen to him. He did save us, and brought your dad’s remains to us. I don’t think he’s here to make trouble. Please just listen to him, your dad would want to save Stolas at all costs if he was still here.”
“Fine!” Loona growled out. “What do I have to do?”
Vassago fixed his jacket and proceeded to instruct Loona on using the soul star. “Now then, I want you to clear your mind and hold out your hands.” Loona did as Vassago asked, though she found it hard to clear her mind. “Just close your eyes and take deep breaths.”
Once Vassago saw Loona relax, he took her hand and placed the star in it. Gently he guided her other hand, placing it on top of the star. While keeping his own hands on hers. “Now let your heart guide you and allow the star’s magic to flow through you.”
Loona sighed, she felt this was so stupid, but she decided to try. And just like with Octavia the voice came to her telling she was doing great. “Wait, dad?!” Loona found herself in the very place Via was. An imp sitting on a boulder only for Loona, it was different. “Dad…”

Chapter Text
“Oh hey Loonie!” The imp said waving. For Loona she couldn’t believe her eyes. The imp slightly chuckled. “What’s wrong sweetie you look like you’ve seen a ghost. Which we all know don’t exist.” Suddenly the imp found himself being embraced so tightly he could hardly breath. “God dammit Loona, what’s gotten into you. Not that I’m complaining about the hug or anything. Still daddy needs air too.”
Pulling back Loona wiped her eyes and sniffed. “S-Sorry dad, I just missed you that’s all.”
Blitzø gave his daughter a confused look. “Sweetie, I just saw you in my office a second ago. It hasn’t been that long.”
Loona found her dad’s words a bit disturbing. He didn’t remember the trial or anything about his death. Which she felt best not to bring up. She wasn’t sure about the rules here, but Vassago did say it was something like being inside a star. “So um, what’s it like here?”
Blitzø was starting to worry about his daughter. “Loona what are you talking about? We’re at work you know what it’s fucking like here. Are you sure you’re okay? Oh fuck, do you need to see a doctor? I promise no shots this time.”
“No, no, I’m fine dad. Really it’s nothing just kinda feeling a bit off. I got home pretty late from that party last night. Still a little out of it…ya know.” Loona was starting to feel trapped and when her concentration started to get off track the image faded.
“Are you okay Loona, you look flustered.” Looking up, Loona saw Vassago in front of her. “Did something happen when you were with your father?”
Loona looked around the room. Moxxie and Millie were holding hands, a deep worry on their faces. “H-He doesn’t remember the trial or that he died.”
Placing a hand on her shoulder, Vassago explained. “This is because I removed that part of his memory. He will remember once he returns, if he returns.” Vassago sighed heavily. “I can’t get Octavia to see what her father saw in Blitzø. All she sees is an imp who stole her father from her. I see differently now too, what Blitzø meant to Stolas.”
Looking away from the macaw Loona began. “Dad isn’t the sweetest guy around, but he cares for the people he loves. Octavia doesn’t know dad and I remember when we were looking for her in the mortal realm. She was upset with her dad too. Something about her dad hating her mom, deal. Truthfully I don’t think Via knows just how much shit her dad has gone through. And Blitzø is the only one who made Stolas truly happy.”
“Yes, this is true. Do you think maybe you could talk with Octavia? Help her understand that Blitzø is the only chance we have to hopefully get Stolas back to his true self.”
Looking down at her hands, Loona thought for a moment. “I can try, but I don’t know how much she’ll believe me. I mean we talked once, but we’re not very close.”
Vassago smiled as he gave Loona’s shoulder, a slight squeeze. “Just try and hope for the best.” The hellhound nodded and gave the macaw a small smile.
Octavia stayed locked in her room, away from her father. No, he wasn’t her father. Her father was caring and loved her. It was all because of that imp that he turned this way. “Why would I even consider helping that dickhead? He’s done nothing but ruin my life, my family,…my dad..” Via wiped her tears away and tried to remember her better days as an owlet with her dad. ‘Will I ever have you back dad?’
With each passing day Stolas only turned worse. The darkness was starting to eat at his very soul, consuming him more and more. Stella had managed to escape the palace, but Octavia remained. She was reading into spells, hoping to find a way to bring her dad back from this. She needed him, her dad was special to her. Still there was nothing she could find. The sound of a message on her phone went off and Via quickly looked to see who it was from.
Octavia smiled as she read the message, it felt nice to have someone to talk to. “Hey, just wondering how you’re doing? I heard your dad took a turn to the evil side. Just wondering if we could talk. Since…you..know. I guess we’re both kinda without our dads.”
Octavia suddenly realized that, while her dad might be consumed by darkness. He was still at least alive. She didn’t know anything about Loona’s dad, but figured she must have lost her dad. Via messaged back a simple answer. “Yeah, my dad is still living, but it’s not really him. The father I once knew is dead right now.”
Loona was fairly sure Octavia had no clue that Blitzø was her adopted dad. And the teen owl surely didn’t know that he died right in front of her. “Yeah, I saw what happened to your dad. I can’t really blame him, I mean he did really like my dad. Even if he was my adopted dad, he was the best thing I had.”
Octavia truly felt like a piece of shit now. She hated Blitzø, he took away so much from her. And yet he was Loona’s dad, even if he was her adopted dad. He was still.. “I’m so sorry Loona, I didn’t know he was your dad. I thought you were just another one of his employees. If you’d like we could meet up downtown?” Octavia was starting to feel like the conversation needed to be face to face at this point.
Octavia had no problem leaving the house, her dad basically stayed to himself in his study. Which was concerning to Via, what could her father be doing in that room?
With his Grimoire floating in front of him and the galaxy of stars before him. Stolas had been devoted to reigning the stars. He was trying to destroy everything and bring back what he lost. Even if it meant killing everyone who was living in hell and in the mortal world. “I am so very close my darling, soon I’ll bring you back to me, Blitzy. Just give me a little more time to complete my spell.”
As Stolas worked on completing his plans, Octavia and Loona met at a corner coffee shop. “Thanks for coming, Loona. I’m sorry it’s not under better circumstances though.”
After taking a sip of her ice coffee, Loona shrugged her shoulders. “It’s still fucking hard to believe he’s gone, but it’s even harder for me to know he can be saved. Vassago tells me that with your power, Blitzø can return from the dead. Maybe even save your dad too.”
Octavia shied away from Loona, how was she going to tell Loona she hated Blitzø? That he deserved to be dead for destroying her family. “I-I’m sorry Loona, but I can’t. Blitzø, your dad. I just can’t bring myself to save him or to even look at him. Blitzø took my dad away from me, he took away my family. All dad ever did was flirt with him. It made me sick that day at Loo-Loo Land. I…I hate him for all of this!”
Loona didn’t respond to Octavia for a bit. Just sat there drinking her coffee waiting for her anger to subside. She wasn’t truly angry at Octavia, she understood more about Stolas then Via did about her own dad. It was whether or not she should be the one to tell Octavia. “I know we don’t really know each other very well. Still I want you to know something about Blitzø that many don’t know. Well your father knew it, but by the time my dad understood his own feelings it was too late.”
Octavia found herself listening to Loona and for the first time she was actually starting to understand things. “Tell me something Via, how well do you know your mom and dad? Their relationship I mean, you say Blitzø was the one who caused of it all. Still you surely saw that before my dad came into your dad’s life. Things weren’t going very well, right?”
Octavia tried to hide the feeling that Loona was right. She had noticed her parents starting to grow distant as time went on. She tried to ignore it, but when Blitzø came along it was so easy to blame him. “I don’t understand why they started hating each other, was it..because of…me? Was I the reason for their unhappiness?”
Loona decided to fill in the blanks for the teen owl. “I can’t say I know the reason for your mom’s actions in all of this, but your parents were not in love to begin with. Even so your dad tried so hard to make things work for your sake. Your mom however wasn’t so nice, Octavia your mom hates your father with a passion. And she did her best to break him. My dad didn’t cause all the problems in your family. All he did was make your dad happy.”
With a slam of her fist to the table, Octavia cursed. Fuck you Loona, if what you say is true. Then why, why did my dad give Blitzø more attention. I’m his flesh and blood, while that…that imp is a disgrace!”
Loona slightly smiled. “Yeah that’s what I thought you’d say. Really can you blame your father for being a little off around someone who actually showed they cared. Seriously though, do you think there isn’t room for you dad to love you and Blitzø both? It’s no different than your dad loving your mom. He still loved you, while he tried to love her. Why does it fucking matter who your dad’s partner is? You’re his daughter, nothing will change that.
My dad loved Stolas, he still does. And I know your dad still loves me too.” Octavia went silent as she started drinking her coffee, Loona knew the teen was thinking about everything she just said. And so Loona waited and continued to drink her coffee as well.
Vassago sensed the change in his stars and knew exactly who was causing the disturbance. “Stolas I know what you’re trying to do and I can not allow you to continue this.”
Stolas’ blood red eyes glowed a deeper red, after hearing Vassago’s voice. “And how do you plan on stopping me, keeper of the stars? You know my powers outweigh yours, you are nothing but a small threat, Vassago.”
“Stolas, you know I will counter any move you make among the stars. All I have to do is realign them. I will not let you destroy everything. Please my dear brother, come back to us. Octavia needs you, you know she does.”
There was a slight change in Stolas’ eyes at the mention of his daughter. His voice did not have the same deep sound of darkness when he said. “O-Octavia..my….daughter…” It was brief only for a slit second until the darkness returned. And Vassago knew the old Stolas was still there, he just hoped Loona could get Octavia to help soon.
