Chapter Text
~Charlie POV:
Finally, Charlie could find some peace for once. The old hotel, who she kind of bonded with was destroyed but a grand and new Hazbin Hotel was build and that made her feel like her dreams were closer to reality, that she could do this! Her girlfriend, her dad and the rest of her friends supported her all of the way, her confidence was shooting out of the roof.
But...along with great things come not so great things because to reach her success there were losses along the way. The cannibal army, who helped her fight against Adam's army of exorcists had suffered some sacrifices and two of her closest friends fought bravely but were still gone. That pained her a lot, so to honor their memory, she hanged a portret of Sir Pentious and a statue of one of her dragon pets, laying flowers almost daily in front of them.
All in all, things were going pretty well...
...Well, she still had to bury a certain *someone*...
Adam, the First Man and self-proclaimed Dickmaster (that gave her the ick) was actually dead. The amount of hate, anger, cruel jokes and other awful things directed her way, made Charlie (a bleeding heart that saw the good in everyone) hate him. The irony that a divine being, who earned Paradise and was supposed to be pure could swear a ton, tell crass jokes and actually *almost* killed her, but before that happened her father came to the rescue, beated the living Hell out of him. After that he had a crash-out and found his end by Niffty.
More irony...
But overall, she still felt kind of bad that a soul as old as Earth was filled with so much anger inside. He was such a mistery that made her want to try and understand him and his past, because the stories that her mom and dad told her about him portraited him as controlling. But maybe not all was true, maybe someone understood him.
Well, she hoped that he finally rested in whatever place he was in now. She couldn't hold a grudge against the dead.
Sooo, the plan for the day was for Charlie to give Adam a proper burial. She made a deep enough hole, she already had the custom tombstone with his name and after everything was done she placed some flowers near his tomb that read: "Here lies Adam, the First Man. May he rest in peace."
The scene was pretty amaizing. Warm wind was flying through the leaves of the trees near Adam's resting place, that was situated in the Hotel's garden, under an apple tree (that was her father's ideea). Charlie spended some time in silence, staring at his tomb then she went inside the hotel, noticing that it was kind of empty.
She remebered that Angel and Husk were hanging out in town, Angel saying that he needed some break after filming at Valentine's studio, Alastor said he just went for a walk (with no justifications), about Niffty...Charlie had no ideea where she was. Vaggie was around the hotel, probably resting and her dad was back at his palace. So Charlie decided to go back to bed, next to her girlfriend so that she could rest for a bit.
~Alastor POV:
It was getting pretty boring after a while. During the battle, he almost got killed by that disgusting First Man, and after he got umiliated, everything went back to normal, people were happy that they triumfed against Heaven. And that...ticked him off. He always like a bit of chaos to toy with everyone's minds. Sooo, with nothing else to do, he decided to take a stroll around Pentagram city.
He couldn't help but notice that some streets were missing the usual screams, blood and gore that adorned the streets. A bit unusual.
There was a weirder feeling around so he decided to follow it. Once sensing it closer he stopped and looked around and by his surprise he smelled the iron smell of blood. In a dark alley, where an usual eyesight couldn't see through, it could be seen something glowing.
Golden blood. Pretty unlikely, unless someone was feasting on a lost exorcist angel. But this one was larger.... As Alastor's eyesight adapted to the darkness he could see a dark golden and black cassock, that was stained with golden blood and atop of all of that a mangled face, beated up decorated with a golden nose and blood all over it. It had brown, wispy hair and at the centre of it all two black horns with golden tips.
...Sinner horns with golden blood. Talking a better look at his face, he looked like the piece of scum that almost killed him.
Although he fled the scene where he almost met his end, while strolling around town he couldn't help but notice the news that were presented on that gaudy piece called 'TV' that every unfortunate sinner gawks at. And the death scene of the First Man, that face looked exactly like this one. Same golden eyes, same eyebags, same beard and the same blood.
Such a discovery he had made. Marvelous. Maybe he could finally take his revenge. However, it would be far more entertaining to watch what fate his 'collegues' cast upon him. So, he grabbed the unconcious form of the 'glorious' Adam with his helpfull tentacles and strolled back to the hotel as nothing happened.
~Charlie POV:
After a good rest, she returned to the kitchen to cook herself and her girlfriend a meal. She didn't know how long she slept but it didn't matter.
As she waited for her Vaggie to come down, she almost finished her meal when she heard the front door open. She hurried to find whoever it could be only to find Alastor.
"Alastor, I'm so glad you're back! You said you'll take a quick stroll and I had some ideas for a new activity and-"
Quickly stopping after noticing that the Hotel's floor was staining with blood behind Alastor. And not just any blood. Golden Blood. She also noticed that Alastor's tentacles were holding something behind his back.
"Alastor...what's that behind you?"
"Ahh, salutations dear Charlie. My, I thought You wouldn't notice it just yet. Well, I think it would be even more easy to recognize who this might be."
As Alastor finished speaking, he trowed on the floor the body and she be damned if she thought she wouldn't see *him* again.
That face, those tired eyes that had eyebags, the brown hair, the beard and THAT blood was something she thought she will never forget. That...was Adam.
"Alastor...I hope that's not WHO I think it is!"
"Oh but my dear it is. I found him near an alley, discarded like trash. It seems that fate reunited us again."
"But I just burried him, I swear- VAGGIE, PLEASE COME DOWN!!" Charlie said in distress.
"Are you okay love?" Vaggie asked. "Fucking Hell is that WHO I THINK IT IS?!" Vaggie exclaimed with horror flashing through her eyes. She hoped she'll never see that horrid man again.
"ADAM?!"
