    For Raoul, his Vicomte title means little, especially in a time when the monarchy no longer holds power. Unlike his brother, Philippe, a Comte and has inherited the Chagny estate, Raoul has no land to rule over. Yet, Raoul carries the name with pride. It's a title bestowed upon him, marking him as the first Vicomte de Chagny in over seventy years. The title has been revived when their father, the late Comte Alexandre de Chagny, passed away, leaving his two sons as Comte and Vicomte. It's all so distinctly Burgundian—conservative, steeped in tradition, and fiercely proud of heritage.
