Work Text:
The soldiers clutched their personal medical envelopes while lined up for their monthly medical check up. Anyone could see the veins forming on their arms. With their tall statures, toned arms and broad shoulders, their muscular physiques screamed dominance and power. Most people felt small and intimidated just by looking at them.
But who would guess that behind those strong bodies, they looked like dogs happily wagging their tails as they lined up for their turn. All of them sported cheerful faces and some were even blushing habang inaayos ang damit at sumbrero sa ulo.
Why? It was basically because of the son of their lieutenant general, the pretty faced doctor-soldier, Major Jisoo Hong.
“Hmmm. There’s nothing alarming naman but I advise you to regularly check your blood pressure and eat healthier foods to bring it down. I’ll also write down some vitamins for you to take,” the pretty doctor-soldier said as he began jotting notes. The patient-soldier nodded giddily while still listening carefully to the doctor’s instruction.
“Thank you po, Major Hong.”
Jisoo gave a faint smile and a nod, causing everyone to literally blush. For them, their monthly medical check ups were a blessing in disguise. Nakakanakaw sila ng tingin sa pretty doctor-soldier for motivation and for inspiration.
“Uy alis ka na diyan. Tapos ka na, ako naman next.” Jisoo just watched as the next soldier practically shooed the previous one away.
“Anong tinitingin tingin niyo diyan?”
“Sssh. Wag kang maingay. Focus lang tayo kay pretty major Hong.” Saway ng isa at tumango naman ang iba para mag agree.
Suddenly, they heard a ‘tsk’ and a stern voice.
Ano pang ginagawa niyo dito? Alis na.”
“Sir, sorry, sir!” Sigaw nilang lahat at nagmamadaling umalis sa kaba.
Captain Yoon just clicked his tongue at napabuntong hininga. He watched as Jisoo gently explained something to the soldier at nakanganga lang ang sundalo in awe.
The captain decided to enter and cleared his throat. Jisoo just raised an eyebrow without looking at him, still focused on the last soldier for check up.
“I wrote the things you should note right there. Please tell me if hiyang mo yung vitamins sa next check up mo.” The soldier still had his mouth hang open and nodded.
Jisoo turned his attention back to his things and ignored the captain who had just sat down in front of him. Captain Yoon cleared his throat again. Jisoo raised his brows, finally looking up sa nakaupo sa harap niya.
“Magpapacheck up din po ako, Major Hong.”
Jisoo stared at the captain’s eyes and the captain gently returned his gaze. Jisoo then put on his stethoscope and began checking the captain. The whole time, Captain Yoon just stared at Jisoo while being examined.
“Do you have any pain or discomfort? Anything bothering you?”
Captain Yoon pouted and sported a sad face. “Nabobother ako kasi ang ganda ganda mo. Kailangan ko na ata dukutin mga mata nila para ako lang makakita ng pretty face mo.”
Jisoo gave him a deadly stare and rolled his eyes. “I don’t have time for your jokes, Captain Yoon.”
“Jeong…”
Jisoo raised his eyebrows. The captain just pouted more.
“Excuse me. We’re at work. Please be professional, Captain Yoon.”
“Pero hindi naman ganiyan yung sinabi mo last week nung hinalmmsshjjsks—”
Jisoo angrily covered his mouth and glared at Jeonghan who just giggled and kissed his palm. Jisoo quickly pulled his hands away from the smirking captain at mabilis na pinandilatan ito ng mata.
“Shut up, Captain Yoon.”
“Shet ang sexy. Doc ganda ko pacheck naman ng osup ko, sinisigaw pangalan mo eh.”
Jisoo just rolled his eyes for the nth time at humagikhik lang si jeonghan habang tinutulungan ito mag imis ng gamit.
“Jisoo ko, dinner mamaya?” Jeonghan asked gently, a patient smile on his lips.
Jisoo hid his expression and curled his hands as he looked away. “No. I have other plans.”
“Ah ganun ba? Sige po, ingat and enjoy sa plans mo. Tawagan mo lang ako kung kailangan mo ako ha.”
But Jisoo didn’t answer him and walked away to leave.

They were on a medical mission and Jisoo had been tirelessly tending to the needs of the patients all day. It was nonstop and people came in one after another — some with elderly companions, some with children and some with worried and pleading faces, but Jisoo didn't complain a bit and empathized deeply with everyone he treated. He listened to every plea and responded with care. At one point, he was checking on a mother and her younger daughter. After he gently explained and gave a reminder, the little girl shyly stepped forward and handed him a tiny flower.
Jisoo blinked in surprise, a smile blooming on his face. He gently took the flower and patted the little kid’s head. “Thank you,” his voice was gentle. The little girl beamed and waved goodbye as she left.
That simple gesture warmed him up completely and Jisoo was in a good mood for the rest of the day. Kahit na nananakit na ang katawan and his mind was begging him to rest, the little flower kept him light.
When the medical mission was finished, he immediately packed his things at dumeretsyo sa small room niya for the night. He let out a long sigh as he sat down and closed his eyes.
There was a soft knock on his door and he just mumbled with eyes still shut. “Hmmm? It’s open.”
The door opened and he heard soft footsteps approaching him. He still had his eyes closed, waiting for the voice to speak. As he finally opened his eyes, he saw Jeonghan setting down two containers of food on the small table. The captain had a concerned look laced on his expression.
“Pagod?” he asked softly.
Jisoo hummed in response and glanced at the food. “Is that our dinner? Thank you. I was too tired to go straight para kumuha kanina eh.”
Jeonghan nodded. “Gusto mo ng masahe? Sobrang sakit ata ng kamay at balikat mo.”
Jisoo sat up properly and winced as he instinctively held his shoulder. “I applied katinko. The cooling sensation helps naman.”
The captain didnt say a word. Instead, pumunta siya sa likod nito. “Can I?” He asked quietly, his lips was near in Jisoo’s ears.
Jisoo didn’t speak but he leaned in slightly to Jeonghan, subtly granting permission. Jeonghan smiled and gently began pressing and kneading into Jisoo’s aching muscles. The latter let out a soft, satisfied hum and the room settled into a comfortable silence.
Jisoo just received the comforting massage. The other man had a soft smile on his lips as he worked in slow and soothing motions, carefully feeling the tension under Jisoo’s skin. “Ang dami mong lamig dito oh. Sobrang sakit na siguro rin ng likod mo noh?”
“Hmm. My neck also feels masakit. I can feel my blood pressure rising up kanina.”
“Sabi ko naman sayo aalagaan kita eh. Buti nalang nandito na ako ngayon.”
“I’m a doctor-soldier and a major rank at that. I don’t need one,” Jisoo murmured lazily.
“I’d still do anything to protect and take care of you, ganda.”
Jisoo only rolled his eyes, too tired to argue with him. It was a good thing he was in a good mood despite being tired. He hummed when Jeonghan pressed a specific point and rubbed it in slow circles. “Mmmmhh, there.”
“Pwede na ba maging boyfriend mo, major Hong?”
Jisoo just chuckled and glanced up at him as Jeonghan was now working with his head. “Is that all you got? The other soldiers can massage me naman too noh.” Jisoo gave a teasing wink and the hands massaging him suddenly stopped causing him to pout.
“Hey, why did you—”
Jisoo gasped as the Jeonghan suddenly crouched down to be in level with his face and a knowing smirk playing on the captain’s lips . Jeonghan leaned in slowly and pressed a teasing kiss on the tip of Jisoo’s nose. “Pero ako lang naman nakakahalik sa’yo? Hindi sila.”
A deep blush spread across Jisoo’s cheeks. He rolled his eyes in an attempt to mask his flustered state, but the way his ears turned pink gave him away. Feeling a little too cornered, he quickly regained control and grabbed the opportunity to flip the script. With one swift motion, Jisoo guided the captain to kneel fully in front of him, raising a brow as he cupped Jeonghan’s chin. Jeonghan’s expression softened immediately. He nuzzled against Jisoo’s palm like it was second nature, gazing up at him with wide and obedient bug-like eyes.
“Heh,” Jisoo mused, voice teasing. “They should see that the mighty captain kneels at my command.”
Jeonghan held his breathe and nodded. He completely surrendered himself, lips parting slightly as if waiting for the next command of his lovely Major Hong. However, the major suddenly pinched his cheeks, hard and pouted as he crossed his arms.
“Aw! Aray ganda ang sakit nam—” he yelped, but Jisoo pouted more, looking very disappointed. The earlier sexy expression now turned into a sulky one which amused Jeonghan.
‘Yan tuloy you’re not my boyfriend. Hmp.”

He squinted his eyes as he saw a familiar figure giving commands pagkatapos ay nagbuhat din ng isang maleta sa kanang kamay at may backpack sa likod.
“It’s open.”
His eyes widened but hid it quickly nang pumasok si Jeonghan at nilock ang pinto.
Jisoo dismissed the feeling in his chest and looked at his hands. “I thought tomorrow pa lakad niyo?”
The captain humorlessly chuckled at unti unting hinawakan ang kamay niya. “Hindi na pwede ipagpabukas pa eh. Andito lang ako para magpaalam sa’yo tapos aalis na kami.”
Jisoo looked at him and Jeonghan still can’t read his eyes.
“Don’t say it like that nga. Ikaw ang magiingat, hindi ako.” Jisoo pouted and looked at their intertwined hands. “Be careful, Captain. I know you’re good pero please, umuwi kayo kaagad, Jeong. This is an order.”
Jeonghan softly smiled at the whiny plea and shook his head. He laid a kiss on Jisoo’s forehead and cradled his face in his calloused hands.
“I’ll be back, Major Hong.”
Jisoo watched the truck leave as the dust settled behind it. He didn’t know exactly what it was but deep inside, he could feel something stirring. He tried to shake off the weird feeling but the emptiness inside him suddenly felt louder.
========================== ( ̄^ ̄ )ゞ==========================
“Aba ang baby ko napakasipag naman.”
Jisoo immediately looked up and excitedly ran forward. “Dad!”
His father affectionately chuckled as Jisoo tightly hugged him while both still in their rank uniforms. “What’s that? A takeout? Omg let’s eat together, dad. Please.”
Kamusta nak? Hindi mo pa ba sinasagot si Jeong?”
Jisoo just glared at his father as he opened the take out containers.
Jisoo couldn’t listen to it anymore and whined.“Dad naman eh. Bakit mas ikaw pa ata yung kinikilig kay Jeong instead of me?”
Jisoo pouted and his father just chuckled as he opened his arms.
Jisoo pulled away from the hug and widened his eyes in diebelief. I don’t want Jeong to enter the military nga para mas safe siya tapos very supportive ka pa diyan! I don’t want him na mapalapit sa panganib then ikaw pala nagpahirap sakaniya noon sa training. You’re so annoying!”
His father just sighed and rubbed his child’s back. “Nak, ayaw ko naman sirain yung determinasyon niya. Hindi mo ba nakikita? Gustong gusto niya yung ginagawa niya. Suportahan mo nalang din kasi nak. Gusto niya mapatunayan ang sarili niya. Diba ako ang hero mo? Syempre gusto patunayan ni Jeong na mapapantayan niya yung pagmamahal ko sayo.”
Jisoo stared at his father, a mix of frustration and reluctant understanding on his face. “Parang love triangle ata ‘to, dad. Ikaw ata talaga ang may gusto kay Jeong kaya lagi mo siyang pinupuri.” Pagmamaktol ni Jisoo habang tinanggap ang huling piraso ng lumpia sa kamay ng tatay niya.
“Pakipot ka pa kasi. Napakasungit at suplado. Kawawa naman ang captain Yoon natin neto.”
The lieutenant general dramatically clutched his chest and wiped a fake tear in his cheek.
“What sikat? Pauwiin mo na sila lieutenant general! Don’t you want a son in law na? Grrrrrrr.”
His father laughed even harder and patted his back. “Basta love love love lang nak ah.”
But it had been two weeks already and the soldiers still had not come back. Jisoo waited every single day, pretending to be busy with work but his eyes would wander toward the gates every time he heard an engine. He heard there was no signal in that area at wala rin silang balita when exactly would the group come back.
This was the fear he had noon pa. He didn’t want Jeonghan to enter the military kasi takot siyang mag alala. He will always remember some memories he had as a child, umiiyak siya habang tinatanggal ng nanay niya ang sugat ng tatay niya sa may binti. He remembered those vividly. And he didn’t want to associate Jeonghan with the same kind of pain.
He wanted to be at ease. Kaya nga siya nag doctor to heal people and not worry about the ones he loved getting hurt. Pilit niya itong iniiwasan, hoping that his silence would be enough to change the captain's mind.
But Jeonghan was patient and persistent. He just stayed, lingering near when allowed, quiet when needed, always showing up without a single complaint. He knew Jisoo’s exact fears, his exact sentiments, and still… he chose this path. Not to go against Jisoo, but to stand beside him and to protect him in a way he knew how.
Minsan Jisoo would think na ipagtabuyan nalang si Jeonghan but he was also selfish.
Suddenly, there was a noise from the main gates. He heard shouts, hurried voices and running boots. Jisoo’s head immediately snapped up at the same time of impatient knocks on his office.
“Major Hong! Dumating na sila!”
Jisoo’s heart skipped as he shot up from his seat and frantically burst through the hallway. The soldier struggled to keep up with his reports between breaths. “Kakalanding lang ng base nila, Major Hong. Tapos may mga sugatan.”
Jisoo’s world tilted for a moment. He didn’t realize he was running until he felt panic rising in his throat. He heard too many calls and pleas and he couldn’t dismiss it kaya dali dali rin niyang pinuntahan ang mga nadaing at inasikaso ang sugatan.
With the help of a few medical staff, Jisoo attended to almost everyone—checking wounds, giving orders, patching up whoever needed him. But through it all, he couldn’t see the captain of the group. He scanned every stretcher, every face. Pero wala.
He bolted from tent to tent, hallway to hallway. Kaunti na lang, paiiyak na siya. Wala siyang makitang Jeonghan. His frustration boiled over as he pinched the soft flesh of his palm beneath his fingers.
“Where’s Captain Yoon?” he demanded, eyes wide, breath short.
“Hindi ko napansin, Major Hong,” the soldier answered. “May mga natira pa ho doon at pauwi pa lang din. Baka po kasama si Captain Yoon doon, para masigurong walang maiwan.”
Jisoo’s head spun from what he heard. He gave a tight nod and forced himself to calm down. He did one last round of searching but he really can’t find Jeonghan. Defeated and emotionally drained, he allowed his feet to drag him back to his office. Nakatungo siyang pumasok ng pintuan, heart heavy with worry, but he froze midstep when he saw someone sitting on his office sofa.
Matamlay na nakangiti ang kapitan sakaniya at may benda pa sa braso. Pero buhay. Buhay na buhay.
Jisoo barely had time to think. He slammed the door shut and stumbled forward. The moment he reached the sofa, his knees gave out as he sat down in front of Jeonghan. He was sobbing, shaking, too overwhelmed with fear and worry. He cradled the captain’s face with trembling hands, urgently scanning him from head to toe. "B-bakit ang tagal mo… bakit hindi ka sumasagot… bakit hindi ikaw yung bumaba kanina…” His words came out broken, drowned in the sound of his own cries.
Jeonghan looked startled at first, then guilt immediately flooded his expression. Gently, he reached up and wiped away Jisoo’s tears with his thumb, his bandaged arm trembling just a little. “Hey, hey…” he whispered, voice cracking softly. “I’m okay, baby ganda. Sorry, sorry… nalate lang talaga. I had to make sure everyone got back first.”
Jisoo sniffed hard and shook his head. “Hindi ko na kaya ‘to, Jeong. Paano nalang ako kapag nawala ka? What if this time you really walk away from me?”
Jeonghan let out a breath, voice thick with emotion as he held Jisoo. “Hindi ako mawawala, Jisoo. I’ll always be beside you. Hindi pa nga nagiging officially mine si Major Hong Jisoo tapos mawawala si Captain Yoon?”
Jisoo’s bloodshot eyes stared at him and his lips wobbled which made the captain coo. He looked at the poorly bandaged arm and glared at it. “Sinong gago naman ang nagbandage sa’yo?”
“Ako po…” The captain replied in the smallest voice and pouted. Jisoo huffed and gently pulled him down to sit properly. He grabbed the first aid kit and carefully applied medicine and redone the bandage on the injured’s arm and hand.
The whole time, Jeonghan just stared at Jisoo - eyes full of softness, love and guilt. Jisoo was still sniffling ang trying to regulate his breath.
Jisoo glared at him as he finished drinking. “I’m Major Hong,” he deadpanned.
Jeonghan leaned forward, arms gripping on the other’s waist and resting his forehead on Jisoo’s shoulder while smiling like a spoiled child. “My pretty doctor Major Hong Jisoo baby ganda.”
Jisoo muttered a curse under his breath but leaned his body to the captain more. “Stupid captain.”
========================== ( ̄^ ̄ )ゞ==========================
Jeonghan had enough.
He groaned under his breath at tinitigan ang mga sundalong nakadungaw nanaman sa bintana para makasilay ulit sa magandang doktor. One cold and deadly stare from the captain and the soldiers immediately straightened up, saluted in panic, and scrambled away like rats.
Padabog na naglakad si Jeonghan at pumasok sa loob, shooting dagger looks at the remaining soldiers who had just finished their check-ups. As soon as they caught his expression, they too bolted out the door without a word.
Jeonghan’s chest rise and fall as he glared at the door. It had been a week simula nang iwasan nanaman siya ni Jisoo. Just when he thought they were making progress, Jisoo pulled away — like always. No explanations.
“What the fuck, captain?! Put me down.”
Jeonghan didn’t even flinch. Dedma. He walked straight out of the clinic with Jisoo thrashing and swearing on his back. Thankfully, the hallway was empty, probably because the soldiers had fled in advance. “Gago ka, Captain! PUT ME DOWN!” Jeonghan kept on walking papuntang kwarto niya.
He glared at the captain, furious. “What the fuck are you doing?”
But he flinched when the captain advanced and cornered him in the bed, arms on each side of his body. The captain’s uniform was still perfectly in place. His hat slightly askew, sweat lining his jaw, and his eyes dark with frustration and something with a mix of want and anger. Jisoo gulped and couldn’t help but feel something.
“Bakit mo ako iniiwasan?” The captain asked, low and firm.
Jisoo huffed at tumingin sa malayo. “You weren’t worthy of my attention.”
Jeonghan's jaw clenched. He grabbed Jisoo’s chin and tilted his face toward him, forcing their gazes to meet. “Talaga?”
Jisoo’s heart skipped a beat. A wave of thrill and panic surged through him. He hated how turned on he was. It was rare. This version of Jeonghan was a rare sight — commanding, furious, and undeniably hot. Dressed in his full uniform, hovering above him, his tone sharp, but his eyes begging for honesty. Damn it, he looked so good doing it and Jisoo wanted to just break their distance and submit to him.
“I was too shy…” Jisoo whispered.
Jeonghan’s expression didn’t falter and raised his brows. “Ano? Hindi ko narinig. Lakasan mo.”
Jisoo glared at him. “I said I was shy! I showed you my weak side. Tapos ang panget ko pa umiyak. I wasn’t proud of that okay?! Kasalanan ‘to ni dad. Sabi niya kasi ang arte arte ko—”
Before Jisoo could finish, Jeonghan smashed his lips against his, cutting off his protest. The kiss was fierce and possessive, silencing every excuse, every doubt.
Jisoo’s stubbornness faltered as Jeonghan’s lips pressed fiercely against his. The anger, the frustration and the fear, they were all blurred when Jeonghan licked his lips and let his tongue wander inside Jisoo’s mouth. Jisoo’s defenses cracked, one slow shudder creeping through him as Jeonghan deepened the kiss, fingers tangling in his hair like he never wanted to let go.
When they finally broke apart, Jisoo was trembling, eyes wide and vulnerable. Jeonghan’s gaze was softer now, the gentleness of his look threading through the roughness of his actions. “You’re scared na magsawa ako sa’yo? Tangina. Kung alam mo lang kung pano kami magdasal ni dad lieutenant Hong para mapasakin ka na talaga.”
“The fuck?”
Jeonghan cupped his cheek, thumb brushing over Jisoo’s lips as he slowly unbuttoned both of their uniform tops. He trailed soft, lingering kisses along Jisoo’s jaw and neck, each one deliberate, reverent. “May blessing na ng parehong pamilya. Sagot mo nalang kulang, Major Hong.”
Jisoo’s cheeks burned red, but he sighed in surrender as Jeonghan’s lips marked his neck. His arms wrapped tightly around the captain, pulling him impossibly close like he wanted to keep him there forever. “Captain… I’m sorry. I was too pakipot. Takot lang akong magsawa k—”
The rest of his sentence was stolen by Jeonghan’s mouth. The kiss was messier now — hot, urgent, and painfully sincere. Jisoo clung to Jeonghan’s bare shoulder, lips parting helplessly as he melted into it.
“Mukha ba ‘kong magsasawa sa’yo, baby ganda?” Jeonghan whispered against his lips, pressing their foreheads together as he caught his breath. “Wala ka pa ngang ginagawa, gusto na kitang pakasalan.”
Jisoo huffed, trying to scowl but utterly failing as a soft smile tugged at his lips. “Then let’s get married tomorrow, Captain Yoon.” His voice dropped to a whisper. “This is an order from your senior.”
Jeonghan blinked, surprised, then his lips curved into a lopsided grin. Jisoo's hand reached up, fingers gently tugging on his collar, breath brushing hotly against his ear as he added, “Now, do me as we both wish.”
Jeonghan groaned under his breath, eyes darkening. “Tangina. Major Hong, you’re going to ruin me.”
Jisoo’s smirk deepened, his voice soft but firm. “Good. That’s the point. You’re under my command.”
Jeonghan only smiled and kissed him as an answer.
