“Gege… Need—Need to get spiritual energy out.” Hua Cheng gritted out and Xie Lian frowned, immediately picking up what he was insinuating. Xie Lian shook his head and Hua Cheng's expression crumbled slightly.
“San Lang! I wont take advantage of you! Not again.” Xie Lian breathed out harshly, and Hua Cheng’s eyes flashed with clarity at his words and he suddenly relaxed against the coarse cotton sheets of the bed. Xie Lian leant back and scraped a hand through his hair, effectively messing up his previous clean appearance but he was so worried it meant nothing. Xie Lian resolved himself and stood up; Hua Cheng protested and immediately moved to follow. Xie Lian shook his head,
“San Lang, you cant come with me. You’re not well and this could be dangerous.”
“All the more reason for me to go.” Hua Cheng argued; it seemed some of his strength had come back with rest but Xie Lian was still unimpressed and moved to press him back down against the bed but Hua Cheng fought back valiantly.
“San Lang, Ill be right back once I've figured out a cure—,”
“Gege, you said you wouldnt leave me.”
