Chapter Text
Shin couldn’t believe his eyes as he stared down into the crib that was made of the finest materials in all the cosmos.
Within it, playing with her feet like it was the most amusing thing in the world, was a baby giggling up at him, her grey eyes so familiar.
They should be, since she’s basically an exact copy of her father.
“I do not believe this… But how?! It shouldn’t be possible!” Shin gawked as he finally found his words, looking up at the father of said baby.
“I made a couple of wishes. I had a few curiosities…” He answered a bit too calmly, especially since he broke one of the biggest taboos like it was not a significant matter.
“But Zamasu, w-we are not supposed to even-“ Shin began, before taking a deep breath, his eyes going to look back at the baby who was babbling happily to herself.
“…How is this even possible? The Omni-king established the divine hierarchy, and this baby actively breaks it, being both mortal and divine!” Kibito questioned, more frightened at how this is possible than anything else. “How are you not facing any repercussions?”
“Because when Grand Zeno was informed of this, he looked at her, and proclaimed; “Cool! A Demi-god! You are going to name it after me, okay? It’s the least you can do since you broke many rules, which is really bad. Since this is so cool, I will let it slide.” Which is why her name is Zen.” Zamasu explained, looking composed now, but when it happened, he was convinced it was the end for him. He took that risk because he assumed Zeno was too busy to take notice.
That, and it wasn’t exactly a chore to create her, either.
“And who is the mother? Who could possibly have caught your interest?” Kibito asked, just as a woman entered the room, carrying a bag full of baby supplies.
A mortal, she certainly was. It was still surprisingly to see her, though. This unassuming woman was half of the equation to the Demi-god that the other kais were seeing right now.
“Hello Supreme Kai of Universe 7, Kibito.” She bowed her head in respect, before she was going over to kiss Zamasu on the cheek.
“How is she doing? Is she liking the crib?” She asked, to which Zamasu held his head high with pride. “Naturally. Only the finest of creation for our daughter.”
“Though I appreciate how much you care, Zamasu… Are the animal servants really necessary?” She turned her head, going to glance at the many creatures that were keeping the room tidy.
“I believe in being efficient.”
