Cometz is a 6-member boy group under AZN Entertainment. The group consists of Sokka, Jet, Hahn, Zuko, Haru and Aang. The group debuted on July 25th, 2023 with their first mini album, SIX! .

Okay. Sokka is definitely zoning out in the middle of a business meeting. Sue him. It’s not that he doesn’t care about the upcoming anniversary livestream they are currently planning per se, but more like there are only so many ways you can go over repeated questions such as ”what color should the balloons be?” and ”at what point should the candles be lit?” before you stop paying attention. 

As he glances at the members, it is clear that most of them have given up on paying attention as well. Jet and Zuko seem to be trying at least, but Aang and Haru have fully begun miming to each other in what can only be described as made-up sign language. From what Sokka can gather, it has something to do with time and eating and maybe some kind of airplane? or perhaps a bird? It’s unclear. Hahn also seems more entertained by the younger boys’ conversation than the actual meeting. For the sake of not getting scolded, Sokka forces his attention back to the topic at hand. 

After an hour or more of discussion mainly between the staff members, they finally come to a conclusion about the details (the balloons are going to be blue) and the schedule (the candles will be lit at the start so they have time to eat the cake). As the meeting starts to wind down, manager Park – a nice but somewhat intimidating woman who Sokka assumes to be about 10 years his senior – turns to the group. “Do you have any specific requests or ideas that you would like to be discussed?” she asks, not from anyone in particular.

After a moment of thinking, and to Sokka’s surprise, it is Hahn who speaks up: “ I would like us to write letters to the group, either during the live or beforehand, about the team and what it means to us.”

“Oooh, I really like that idea,” Aang replies enthusiastically, conversation with Haru long forgotten, and Sokka finds himself nodding in agreement with the others. The staff also seem very excited about the idea, probably at least partly because it means they do not need to come up with an activity, Sokka theorizes.

Sokka finds himself heading back to the dorms, uncharacteristically by himself. Haru and Aang had in fact been planning to go to a new restaurant nearby, both Jet and Hahn had vocal lessons, and Zuko had been asked to stay back after the meeting. Being alone is surprisingly nice, he thinks, as he reaches the dorm building and heads straight for the couch. Of course he loves his members and loves living with them too, but it is rare to get moments of peace and quiet when living with 5 other people. Well technically only Zuko and Haru were his roommates, but the other 3 were only a floor up and visited often enough for them to count as roommates. In any case and despite his extroverted nature, an hour of alone-time sounded heavenly.

He felt exhausted, which is weird since the meeting hadn’t even been that long or difficult. Maybe not exhausted enough for a nap, but definitely enough to chill and not do any work at least until the others come back, he thought, while scrolling through movies on the TV.

When Aang and Haru return to the dorms about an hour later (with takeout!), they find Sokka on the couch, fast asleep with the movie selection still open on the TV.

2 year anniversary livestream!

Six men are sitting behind a table. They are all wearing various shades of blue to match with the background. A giant silver balloon in the shape of the number two sits in the middle of the background. All of the men are clapping and looking into the camera.

“Happy birthday!!” Aang exclaims.

“Welcome to the livestream everyone!” Jet says while waving.

“Hello everyone. I’m glad you could join us in celebrating our anniversary today. We are going to start with the most important part, the cake!” Sokka greets and gets up from his spot. He walks offscreen and returns a couple seconds later holding a cake. At the same time, Hahn is distributing plates to everyone along the table. He pulls out a lighter from somewhere under the table.

”Okay guys. Who wants- Shhhh!” Hahn starts, but shushes at Haru and Aang, who have started singing the happy birthday song while waiting. ”Who wants to light the candles? Jet? Zuko?” He asks while offering the lighter towards the two.

”Sure.” Zuko grabs the lighter and struggles a little bit before lighting the two candles on the cake. He stands awkwardly for a couple seconds, before sliding the lighter to the staff on the other side of the camera.

All of them sing the happy birthday song and blow the candles together. Hahn cuts everyone a slice of the cake.

…

There are six empty plates on the table. Zuko and Aang have their phones out and they are reading comments from fans watching the livestream. The others are gathered around them in an attempt to see their screens

”Do we have any comeback spoilers? No, there is nothing to spoil, I don’t know what you are talking about..” Hahn reads from Aang’s phone.

At the same time, Zuko moves his left hand. He moves his pointer finger from right to left while pointing towards the camera, and then points at himself with his thumb. He gives a little smug smile at the camera, and the action goes unnoticed by the rest of the group.

Aang reads another question. “Give a TMI? Hmm… last night all 6 of us accidentally had dinner/late night snack together. It was just me and Jet at first since we ordered tteokbokki together, and then everyone else just kept showing up.”

“Yeah, Hahn was there since well, he lives in the same dorm and the others showed up from downstairs because Aang sent a picture to Zuko to flex on him.” Jet explains.

Sokka looks off-camera, and then gets up to presumably talk with staff. He returns almost instantly.

”We have a little something to do before the clock turns 12. We are going to write little letters to our future selves! We are going to open them during next year’s anniversary live and see what’s changed and stuff..” Sokka says while he pulls back his chair and lifts a basket of papers and pens from under the table. ”Who wants which color?”

”Gimme green please!” Haru yells.

”I’ll take an orange or a yellow if you have one,” Aang requests.

”I don’t care,” Jet replies.

”Me neither, Zuko and Hahn say at the same time. They look at each other and laugh.

Sokka gives out papers to everyone and picks himself a blue one. He places the pens in the middle of the table and starts thinking of his letter.

”So what do we write? Just where we are right now and what we want for the future?” Hahn asks.

”Yupp,” Sokka replies, absorbed in writing his letter.

”I am currently in room 23 on the 12th floor…” Haru says slowly as he writes his letter. Everyone starts laughing.

Once the livestream ends, both Sokka and Zuko are asked to stay behind. Sokka is unsure what could be so important that they have to have a meeting about it in the middle of the night, and Zuko seems to be thinking of something along the same lines, if his expression is anything to go by. More importantly, Sokka is worried about Zuko. He had already been asked to stay back after one meeting that week, and in true Zuko fashion, he had not given a clear answer when Sokka had inquired what the meeting was about. On top of that, Zuko had seemed quieter than usual in the days since said meeting. All he could hope for was that it wasn’t anything too serious, and that they weren’t in trouble.

At that moment, Sokka’s thoughts are interrupted by manager Park. “We are sorry we had to hold you back this late. We didn’t think a formal meeting was needed to discuss this topic and since you are both here, we might as well talk about it now.” she starts. “Anyways, we have been doing some research on other groups and their dynamics, as well as your fans’ views on the dynamics within Cometz.”

Sokka fidgets with his fingers. “So? What does that mean for us specifically?”

She gives him a look Sokka can’t decipher. “So, we have noticed this trend of fans theorizing about the nature of the relationship between the two of you.” When all she gets are two confused stares in response, she clears her throat. “They seem to think you two are in a.. romantic relationship,” she clarified.

“And…?” Sokka asks hesitantly. He had a feeling about where this was going, and by the way Zuko had gone quiet, he was probably thinking the same.

“We would like to use that for our advance in our content strategy. As you are aware, we do not condone relationships in this company for the first five years of your contracts. However, we would like you two to act as if you were… involved with each other, to create more fan speculation.” She finishes the sentence with a tight smile, and starts to gather her stuff, indicating that the discussion is finished.

“Do we not get any say in this? If the fans already have that theory can’t we just keep acting like we always have?” Sokka asks before she can leave. There are so many questions, and it seems like he will not be getting many answers with the way manager Park is almost out of the door already.

She turns to look over her shoulder. “Well we don’t want them to lose interest in you guys, right? You guys are good, but not all that special. There are new boy groups debuting all the time. If you really care about the success of your group, I recommend you take me up on this. I’ll send you a list of other idols to use as reference points on how to act. Good night.” And with that, she walks out of the room, all of her earlier warmth long gone. Sokka stares after her, listening to the footsteps echoing in the hallway. At that moment, Sokka hears the sound of a chair falling and sees Zuko storming out of the meeting room, without saying goodbye. 

In a daze, Sokka gets up and leaves too. When he gets back to the dorms all of the lights are off and Zuko’s door, typically slightly ajar even at night, is firmly closed.

Despite everyone’s confusion, all 6 of the members ended up at the right restaurant at the right time. Well, mostly at the right time. They were celebrating their anniversary in a private room in a Korean BBQ restaurant, away from the cameras and the eyes of the public. Jet was put in charge of grilling the meat, and to his credit, he did it without complaint. 

It is one of those times when Sokka almost felt like a normal 22 year old, instead of a celebrity contractually obligated to follow the whims of a company. He shakes his head to erase the thought. Now truly was not the time to think about the conversation from last night, he thought, and focused back on the conversation going on around him.

“So what are you guys doing on our long weekend off next week?” Hahn asks, when Sokka tunes back into the conversation. 

Aang is the first to reply. “Me and Sokka are hanging out with his sister and some of our other friends! We rented a huge vacation house up in Gapyeong for 3 days!” He explains excitedly. The older members chuckle at his enthusiasm. 

Jet, refusing to pass on a chance to make fun of Aang, asks: “Are you sure the house is the only reason you’re excited? Or is it maybe your little crush..?” Aang blushes, but waves his hands to disagree. “No no no, there’s a heated pool and karaoke and everything! And we are picking up Appa and Momo on the way too. And well… maybe I haven’t seen Katara in a while…” He trails off sheepishly. 

”Enough about Aang’s obvious crush on my sister,” Sokka chimes in. ”What about the rest of you?”

”Oh! My parents are coming to Seoul and I’m going to show them around,” Haru says with a smile. ”If the weather allows, we are going on a picnic near the Han river!”

“Hell yea! Apparently the weather here should be super nice that weekend.” Sokka replies.

”I think I’m just going to my parents' place, it’s not like they live far,” Hahn chuckles. ”Me too, staying in Seoul and seeing some friends.” Jet shares, and eats a piece of meat off the grill. ”It should be good now, you should eat.” He adds, addressing no one in particular. ”I’m going to stay with Uncle,” Zuko contributes between mouthfuls of food.

”Seems like we all have similar plans then,” Hahn concludes, and the room falls silent as they all focus on eating. Eating was one of the rare times one could find all 6 members of the group completely quiet.

The rest of the night passes with nice conversation and good food. While everyone had a great time, Sokka couldn’t help but notice how quiet Zuko was. Sure, the conversation with manager Park was bugging him too, but Zuko was starting to remind him of how he was when they met. He had been 15, all brooding and quick to lashing out at anyone who dared to talk to him. Sokka had tried befriending him of course, but they had fought a lot in the beginning. The trainees had taken to calling him ’Prince Zuko’, due to his nasty attitude and tendency to order the others around, as he had been there longer than most of the others. Thankfully things had changed since then, as most things tend to do with time.

Worst of all, he seems to currently be avoiding Sokka’s eyes completely which almost hurts. Obviously Sokka wasn’t thrilled about the prospect of pretend-dating either, but the idea of dating him couldn’t have been that bad, right?

Sokka had been planning on asking Haru for help with the whole Zuko thing™, when he got the notification for his livestream. Well he could go bother him at least, it had been a while since he had participated in a more casual livestream. 

In about a minute, he is knocking behind Haru’s bedroom door. He hears rustling inside, and soon Haru is at the door looking confused. “I’m live right now, what do you need?” He says quietly, as to not be heard on the live.

“Can I join you?”

“Hello everyone! I’m here to hijack Haru’s live!” Sokka announces to the chat while sitting down in front of the camera. Haru sits down next to him, looking a little exasperated. “Sokka is joining us today, be nice to him everyone.” 

Sokka starts reading the comments. They are pretty much the same as always, full of “speak english” and “english plss” and the occasional “touch your hair if you’re in love with zuko”. Every once in a while, a question grabs his attention. 

“Has my Japanese improved living with Haru and Zuko? Yes and no, it's not like they sit me down and teach me vocabulary but I do hear them speak together a lot.”

“And we do sometimes have conversations in Japanese just because Sokka specifically requests it. It’s not like we just leave him out or anything.” Haru adds, before the chat gets any ideas on the contrary. 

“That is true,” Sokka replies, while looking through the comments. It’s Haru who reads the next one. “Where is Zuko right now? I don’t know actually, he’s not at the dorm as far as I know.” Sokka shrugs to indicate he doesn’t know either.

”Give a lunch recommendation? I say something with pork belly because I’m craving some right now…” Sokka replies with a wistful look in his eyes. ”Now you got him thinking about food guys!” Haru laments with mock annoyance towards the live chat.

The next hour passes with them answering questions from fans and messing around. In Sokka’s opinion, talking with the fans is one of the best parts of their job, as cliche as it sounds. Obviously performing and producing music was a dream come true, but it was the fans who truly kept him putting his all into the work. Once again, Sokka finds himself thinking about what manager Park had said. Maybe it would all be worth it for the fans…

As the live ends, Sokka stays in Haru’s room. “Are you sure Zuko’s not home? I need to talk to you about something.” Sokka asks after a while of them just hanging out on their phones in silence. “Yea, I’m sure. What’s up?” Haru looks at Sokka and puts his phone down. 

“So remember when we were asked to stay back after the anniversary livestream?” Haru nods. “Well, manager Park had this… request for us. But it wasn’t really a request, more like an order for me and Zuko to pretend like we are in a relationship. For the views.” Sokka explains, as he watches Haru’s face go from curious to shocked. “She WHAT?! Is that even legal?”

“Dude, that's not even the worst part. To me at least. Zuko hasn’t talked to me since that meeting and it’s been like a week now. We fucking live together and he doesn’t even look at me and I’m like? kinda hurt by it? I don’t know it just feels like the idea of pretending to date me is so repulsive that he can’t even look me in the eye…” 

At that, Haru grabs his wrist. “Listen Sokka, I love you dude but I would not want to do that with you or anyone on the team under any circumstances. It’s a crazy situation but you guys are best friends, I think you just need to talk it out properly. Like for the sake of your friendship, fuck what the company thinks. It’s shitty that they put you in this situation, but it honestly sounds like there are no other ways to get out of this than talking it out.” 

Sokka considers his words carefully. Logically he knows that is the best course of action, but it was easier said than done. “I’m not sure it’s all he’s upset about either. He was a little off a couple days before the meeting too.” Haru looks at him, and squeezes his hand. “Just talk to him. You will figure it out, trust me.”

”But also like.. what a fucked up thing to put on you guys.” Haru says after a couple seconds of silence. ”Like I can’t get over that. How are you dealing with all of it?”

”Well.. Could be worse but could be a lot better. I keep spiraling about it but I think you’re right. I will feel better once I talk to him about it.”

What is going on with Zuko’s face? THREAD (1/30)

So we all agree there’s something wrong with him right? My theory was that it was a birthmark, but it is not present in his childhood photos. Although it could’ve been edited out?? Other theories are acne or maybe an injury? that would be a weird thing to cover up though (2/30)

There are a few instances where we can see his bare face in content, mainly behind-the-scenes. It seems like these are always by accident and sometimes edited out later on, so he certainly has something to hide. (3/30)

It is almost 2 in the morning on a Saturday night and Sokka has been sitting on the floor of the recording studio since dinner. Jet is sitting on the couch opposite to him. There are a bunch of papers between them, along with empty takeout containers and half-full soda cups. 

They are tasked with deciding the order of songs for their new album, only based on the guides the two of them have recorded. So far they had come to a conclusion on what songs should be included, and the whole team had decided on the title track around a week ago.

”Would it not be better to fully record the songs first? We aren’t getting anywhere with this shit.” Jet huffs in annoyance. “I agree, but the company needs it in this order for some reason.” Sokka replies, reflecting Jet’s mood. 

“Although, they should know at this point that the guides never sound the same as the end result, this is impossible!” Sokka laments. Jet nods along. “Yea, it’s almost like we are making music and it’s the music that’s important here.” It was not the first time they had had this exact conversation and as long as they were producing songs for the group it wouldn’t be the last time either.

The papers on the floor have the same six song titles written on them in different orders, with different notes on the side, mostly commenting on why each order would and would not work. Some mindless doodles have also made their ways to the margins, a testament to the time they had spent in the studio. Between the food containers and the doodles and the guitar laying on the couch next to Jet, it is safe to say most of the time was not entirely spent on deciding the tracklist. 

The recording is set to start on Monday, and the company needs the tracklist before they start recording. Something to do with the graphic design. Sokka takes a sip of his now lukewarm soda, and makes a face. All of the ideas in his head are starting to mush together and he proceeds to lay down on the floor with a sigh. It was hard to remember what they had already discussed. 

Jet looks like he is about to fall asleep or off the couch at any second now. Sokka gathers the last of his brain cells. “Okay, how about this one..?”

As he shows up both of the men in the armchairs start motioning for him to sit next to them. He hesitates for a moment but ultimately decides to sit next to Jet.] 

[ID: The fourth person shows up. He has his hair in a ponytail, showing off his undercut and is wearing a beige button-up shirt with a black harness on top of it. He sits down on the couch, next to Hahn.]

Jet: “Yooo, why is your outfit so sexy?”

Hahn: “Yeah, what detective wears that?”

Sokka, looking down at his outfit: “I don’t know what to tell you, I’m just wearing what they told me to.”

[ID: All four of them laugh as the next person shows up. He has long hair past his shoulders and wears a light brown short-sleeve button up tucked into some jeans. He sits in the middle of Sokka and Zuko and jokingly spreads his arms and legs in a way that no one else can fit on the couch.]

[ID: The last person shows up. He is wearing a sweater vest and a newsboy cap. All 5 of the men smile as he heads towards them, almost skipping. As he sits down, Hahn pulls out a laptop and sets it down on the table.]

Hahn: ”Okay now that we are all here, here’s what’s up. We got this message from the police department today, we should take a look.”

[ID: A video is edited on top of the table in the foreground and the guys can be seen reacting to it. In the video we see the screen fade from black to a Sokka with a fake beard on, in front of a dark background. He is putting on a funny voice. The boys laugh at the reveal.

“Hello detectives. This is officer Wang Fire speaking. We have discovered that a spy has infiltrated your detective agency and will do harm if he is not caught. You have three days to figure out who it is. Good luck.”

The video fades from the screen and Hahn closes the laptop.]

Hahn: Since we are on a time limit, we should introduce ourselves and what we are doing here. I’ll go first. I’m Hahn and I’m the lead detective working here at this agency.” [He motions for the next person to keep the introductions going.]

Sokka: ”My name is Sokka, but while I’m here you can call me..” [He pauses for dramatic effect and wiggles his eyebrows] “Detective Sokka.”

Haru: “And why are you here?”

Sokka: “I work here. What kind of question is that?”

Jet: “You’re sounding a little too defensive right now… suspicious..”

[ID: Sokka protests loudly but is cut off pretty fast.]

Aang: “I’m Aang and I’m the best detective in the world!” [He makes a v-sign next to his eye] “They invited me here to investigate this thing.”

Haru, narrowing his eyes at Aang: “I’m Haru and I can solve any mystery! Like the mystery of why would anyone invite Aang here if they knew we were all in danger.”

Zuko: “I’m Zuko and I’ve been a detective for the past 20 years.”

Sokka: “Aren’t you 23?”

Zuko, deadpan: “I started young.” 

Jet: “And I’m Jet and I am a police detective.”

Hahn: “Wait isn’t that what we all are? Is there a difference?”

Zuko: “A bit suspicious for the lead detective to not know that if you ask me.”

Haru: “Oh and it's not suspicious that you didn’t tell us why you are here?”

…

[ID: The lights go dark and a voice can be heard over an intercom. It is clearly Sokka’s voice, pretending to be Wang Fire.]

Wang Fire: “It’s nighttime. Please sleep until the morning.”

[All six of them close their eyes, pretending to sleep.]

Wang Fire: “Spy. Please open your eyes and eliminate a person of your choosing.”

[ID: Haru opens his eyes and raises his head. He quickly points at Sokka and closes his eyes again.]

Wang Fire: “Hero. Please open your eyes and save a person of your choosing.”

[ID: Sokka opens his eyes. He looks around a little bit and then points at himself. He closes his eyes again.]

Wang Fire: “It is the morning of day 2. No one was eliminated during the night.”

Aang: “Who was the doct- I mean the hero? Who did you save?”

Sokka: “It’s me and I saved myself.”

Sokka: “So I’m assuming it’s either Jet or Haru.. They were both suspicious of me yesterday.”

Zuko, rolling his eyes: “Asking you lead-up questions is not being suspicious but whatever you say.”

Sokka: “Well who else thinks it’s me? Who would try to kill me then?”

Hahn: “I think it’s weird that he saved himself. No one accused him straight up. Is there a possibility that he is both the hero and the spy?” [They all chuckle.]

Haru: “Jet’s been weirdly quiet? What if it's him?”

Jet: “It’s not me, I swear. I think it’s Zuko and I think we should have a vote.” [Zuko looks mildly shocked.]

Zuko: “Me?? Based on what?”

Hahn: “I kind of agree. Something about your vibe is not right.” [Zuko looks annoyed now, and looks right into the camera like he is in The Office.]

[ID: They vote by pointing at the person they suspect the most. A caption shows up at the bottom of the screen:

‘Jet, Hahn, Haru —> Zuko

Zuko —> Aang

Sokka, Aang —> Haru’]

Wang Fire, over the intercom: “A citizen has been eliminated. It is nighttime, please sleep until the next morning.” 

[ID: Someone gasps in surprise and a few “oh no”s can be heard. Zuko mutters something along the lines of “I told you so” as he switches places with Hahn to sit on the armchair. Hahn sits down and closes his eyes along with the rest of the boys. A staff member comes over to Zuko to give him some cue cards, as he takes over the role of the moderator instead of Sokka’s pre-recorded lines.]

Zuko: “Spy. Please open your eyes and eliminate a person of your choosing.”

[ID: Haru opens his eyes. Zuko looks a little shocked and points at Haru as if in disbelief that he is the spy. Haru points at Sokka again and closes his eyes.]

Zuko: “Hero. Please open your eyes and save a person of your choosing.”

[ID: Sokka opens his eyes. He looks around a little bit and then points at himself again. He closes his eyes again.]

Zuko: “It’s the morning of the final day. No one was eliminated. You may open your eyes.”

Aang, shocked: “No one was eliminated AGAIN?”

Hahn, sarcastically: “Sokka might just be the greatest hero on the planet.”

Sokka: “Sorry to break it to you but I saved myself again.”

Jet: “I’d call you selfish but the spy clearly wants you dead. Speaking of which, who did you vote for earlier?”

Sokka: “Haru.” [He points at his own eyes with two fingers and then points the fingers at Haru, indicating that he is watching him. The captions say “most non-threatening threat of 2025.”]

Haru: “Dude it’s not me! Jet is way more suspicious, he’s the one that wanted to vote Zuko out earlier and look where that got us.”

Aang: “I agree. We made hasty choices and now Zuko’s dead.” [He makes an exaggerated sad face and the camera zooms at Zuko while the screen goes black and white for a second.] “We need to deliberate more.”

…

Zuko: “It is time for the final vote. Go to the other room one by one and vote for the spy.”

[ID: Hahn gets up and leaves the shot first. The others seem to forget about the game. By the time it’s Haru’s turn to vote, Aang is laying on Sokka’s lap and his hat has ended up on Sokka’s head. Zuko is lying over the armrests of his chair, and Hahn has ended up sitting on the armrest of Jet’s chair. The two are sharing a bag of candy, and the caption at the bottom says “Where did they even get that..?” Zuko is the last person to leave the screen, however he goes in a different direction than the others.]

Zuko, back in his armchair: “It is time to announce the end results. The eliminated person got all but one vote, and that person is…” [He pauses for dramatic effect and the others start drumming their thighs to build suspense.] “Haru! Congratulations fellow detectives, you have caught the spy! You will get to live another day, unlike me.” 

[ID: Zuko clutches his chest dramatically to emphasise his words. Everyone but Haru starts clapping. Haru looks slightly disappointed, but can’t help but laugh at his teammates.]

[ID: The credits for the production team and staff start rolling. There is a clip after the credits, of Jet looking at the staff behind the camera. The rest of the group is chatting in the background.]

Jet: “Was any of that even good? That might have been the worst game of mafia ever played.”

Sokka and Jet are in the recording studio for the 4th day in a row. They had started recording yesterday, and so far one and a half songs were mostly recorded, save for the parts the members wanted to re-record.

Today, they are recording the title track, which ended up being “You & I.” It was a song written by Sokka and Zuko a while back, you know, before the incident . Speaking of Zuko, he is currently in the recording booth, getting ready to record his part of the first bridge. 

“Okay, you’re good to go Zukes,” Jet says into the microphone that allows the people in the studio to communicate with the person in the recording booth. This makes the other three members sitting behind Jet and Sokka quiet down, next to the staff members who are also present in the room.

“Can you make it sound more desperate?” Sokka asks through the microphone, after Zuko’s third time singing his lines. “I feel like it’s missing a little something..”

And Zuko does make it sound desperate. Like, in an incredible way. “Holy fuck that’s the one!” Sokka exclaims into the microphone, much to the staff’s disapproval. Even if they weren’t really talking at the moment, Sokka loved hyping up his friends no matter what.

Sokka couldn’t find it in himself to care about the staff’s disappointed looks. He had given up on the not-cursing rule a long time ago. As long as he didn’t do it on livestream or on stage, everyone else could deal with it. It’s not like they could fire him over it.

“That was great Zuko, do you want to do the rest of your parts right away?” Jet asks, and Zuko gives him a nod and a thumbs up through the glass of the recording booth. 

Something about the simple action makes Sokka’s heart ache, and he decides he has to talk to Zuko as soon as physically possible. He can hear Jet and Zuko discussing the chorus through his headphones, but can barely focus on any of it. The entire predicament was consuming his thoughts in a way that is starting to affect his work.

As Zuko and Hahn switch places between the couch and the recording booth, Jet turns to Sokka. “Dude, are you doing alright?”

“Yea, just tired, you know how it is.” He forces a smile and focuses on Hahn, who is in the booth practicing the cadence of the rap, instead. He can tell Jet doesn’t fully believe him, but thankfully he does not push any further. Sokka hopes they can figure out the situation before he has to go to Jet for advice out of all people. They are good friends of course, it’s just that Jet’s solutions to most things were… unique to say the least.

They finish most of the song on that day, except for the parts where they all sing together. Those parts are going to be recorded with another producer in a couple days. The rest of the song recording goes by pretty uneventfully. Aang hits an amazing high note, and Sokka does well on his parts too. However, he cannot fully shake his thoughts about the Zuko situation no matter how hard he tries.

In true Cometz fashion, all of them stay back to hang out in the recording room until everyone is done with their recordings for the day. As they filter out of the room, Sokka puts his hand on Zuko’s shoulder.

“Hey. Can we talk?”

[ID: Sokka, Suki and Yue are standing in front of a big screen on the wall holding microphones. A performance by another group is playing on the screen and the music can be heard, but they aren’t paying attention to that. Suki is going around poking Sokka in the sides, while he keeps trying to dodge her without moving too much. She occasionally pokes Yue too, but seems to be scared of her side-eye. They are all laughing.]

Staff member off-screen: “Stand-by!”

[ID: They all get serious immediately and go back to their places. The clip changes.]

[ID: A performance by a girl group is playing on the screen. A part of the choreography includes shaking the hips. Sokka keeps copying said move over and over again, while Suki and Yue are looking at him and chuckling.]

Audience member off-screen, at Suki and Yue: ”You guys too!” 

Sokka, jokingly shushing the audience: ”No! This is my moment!”

[ID: He starts doing the dance more aggressively. The text “the way he is protecting the girls” pops up. The audience laughs, as do Suki and Yue. The clip changes.]

[ID: Back in the room with the couch. Sokka is sitting down, while Suki is standing up and holding Yue up in a bridal carry. She starts doing squats while holding Yue and after a while they switch, so that Yue is picking Suki up. Sokka is following the interaction from his place on the couch. The camera zooms into his face, and the text ”mfw i’m third wheeling hard” shows up. Suki looks at Sokka.]

Suki: ”Stop sulking you big baby, come here.” [She chuckles at Sokka. Yue lets her down.]

“It’s about the scar,” Zuko says before Sokka can even get a word out.

“Huh?”

They are sitting on the couch in the now empty recording room, facing each other.

“They want me to get surgery. For the scar.”

“What?” Sokka asks in disbelief.

“That's why I was called into the meeting before the livestream. And I’m so lost on how to feel about that.” Zuko explains, as his eyes get glossy and his voice breaks. He’s looking Sokka in the eyes in what feels like for the first time in weeks. Sokka has never felt this helpless before, and all he can think to do is pull Zuko into a hug. He melts into the embrace and it breaks Sokka’s heart a little bit.

Zuko continues talking into Sokka’s shoulder. “It’s just, I wanted this more than anything when I was younger and now that I finally have the chance to do it, I don’t know if I want it anymore.” Sokka lets him talk, silently petting his hair.

“I’m like finally somewhat okay with how I look with the scar, and even though they gave me a choice it all felt like they had decided it’s ugly and needs to be removed to make everyone’s life easier. I think I would’ve done it too, but then they had to bring up the fanservice stuff too, and it just feels like I’m losing control of my life. Like- like my opinions about my life don’t matter and whatever the company says, goes.”

“Well I think that’s stupid.” Sokka replies when Zuko goes quiet. This gets a small chuckle out of Zuko, which Sokka considers a small victory. “And I think you should do whatever feels best for you and I’ll support you no matter what that is. It’s not like they don’t know how to cover it, that’s been working just fine for the past 2 years.” Zuko sits up to face Sokka again. 

“Also we don’t need to do the fanservice thing either, if it makes you uncomfortable. Despite what manager Park says, this will not destroy our careers.” Sokka adds, and offers Zuko a small smile.

“No that part was- I didn’t mind that part..” Zuko blushes. “Just both of the meetings at once was a little too much. The scar’s been such a significant part in me becoming an idol but I’ve wanted to get rid of it for such a long time and I still can’t decide what to do.”

Sokka knows this of course. 

The scar was the whole reason Zuko had moved to Korea to live with his uncle, after the child abuse case with his father had been somewhat settled with financial compensation and an NDA to protect his father’s public image. His uncle had made him start his childhood hobby of dancing again in Korea and he got scouted for the company through the dancing studio he went to. If it weren’t for the scar, they wouldn’t be in this situation right now. He could see why letting go of something with such a fundamental impact on your life was difficult, no matter how many negative feelings were associated with it. 

However, all his stupid brain can grasp onto are Zuko’s other words. “I didn’t mind that part”. For some inexplicable reason, the idea excites him. For what reason? That was something to think about later though.

“Oh.. Should we set up some rules or like guidelines then? On like, how are we going to operate in content and other stuff?” Sokka stammers, suddenly feeling incredibly awkward about the entire thing.

“I feel like we cannot be too obvious about it. The fans are going to suspect something for sure if we are suddenly acting like newlyweds.” Zuko chuckles. “Maybe we act like usual, but make sure there’s at least a few physical touches in every content to start off with?”

“That works.” Sokka agrees. “Is there anything you’re uncomfortable with? Should we study whatever list Manager Park sent us?” He adds to lighten the mood.

“Hell no! I don’t think I want to know what they have in there.” Zuko replies. “Also, I’m good with everything. I’m assuming they don’t expect us to make out on camera.” He jokes and they both laugh.

Sokka nods. “Are we telling the others what’s going on? Well, Haru already knows that this is happening.. I kinda told him already.”

“Nah, let them make their own conclusions. If we gotta do this, we can at least have fun with it, right?” Zuko suggests and they both burst out laughing. Yeah, they were definitely going to be okay, Sokka thought.

”Also, I truly meant what I said Zukes. Whatever you decide to do with the scar I’ll support you. I can talk to the company with you too if you want me to.” He adds after a moment of silence.

”Thank you. Tha- That means a lot to me.”

Jet, speaking over the others: ”Guys can we focus? The drive takes an hour, we should get going soon.”

Jet: ”Okay so, we are going to have two drivers today” [the screen is taken over by a split screen visual. The visual goes away.] ”It’s me and Sokka, and we are going to draw names to see who is joining us in our cars.”

Haru: ”You didn’t say where we are going.”

Jet: ”Oh. We are going on a retreat. To Chuncheon.” [He reaches over to pull a slip of paper from the beanie Aang is holding.]

Jet: ”Haru.” [He turns to Sokka.] ”Your turn.”

Sokka: ”Hahn.” [After reading his passenger’s name he nudges the hat towards Jet again.]

Jet: ”Aang”

Sokka: ”I get Zuko then. Let’s go guys!” [He twirls the car keys around his finger and does finger guns towards something off-camera, presumably a door. Everyone starts getting up from their seats and gathering their bags.]

[ID: The camera is on the dashboard of the car, facing the inside. Sokka, Zuko and Hahn get in, with the other two sitting in the front, and Hahn slipping into the middle seat in the back. Sokka takes a minute to choose a playlist and hands his phone connected to the aux to Zuko, while he focuses on driving.] 

[ID: The people in the other car also get in. Jet sits in the driver’s seat and adjusts the mirror, as Aang sits next to him and Haru sits in the back. They debate about music for a while, but eventually Jet puts on some western rock music, which the other two silently accept.]

[ID: Back in the other car. Sokka is giving the performance of a lifetime to the song iB by Cö shu Nie. Both Zuko and Hahn seem amused by this, and Zuko mouths along to the lyrics while scrolling on Sokka’s phone.]

[ID: Switch to the other car where the vibe is completely different. All three guys are emotionally deep into their performance of Don’t Look Back In Anger by Oasis.]

[ID: Two cars pulling into the yard of a house back to back. It is definitely not in the big city, but not really in the countryside either. 6 people climb out of the cars and go stand in a row in front of the house. The men look past the camera, expecting a member of staff to tell them what to do.]

Staff member 1, off camera: ”You need to go grocery shopping in the teams you are in. Each group has 10 minutes to get everything you need, but your two groups need to get different stuff without communicating. If you get the same item, it has to be given to the staff and we will eat it instead.” [The guys look shocked at the instructions.]

Hahn: ”10 minutes?? Are you serious?”

Jet: ”How are we supposed to get anything in that time? Does it include the time we spend checking out?”

Staff member 2: ”You need to get to the checkout line before the time runs out, but obviously we can’t control lines or how long they take so that is not included.”

Staff member 1: ”We also have a game here for additional time.”

[ID: The screen goes blurry and a bunch of text shows up:

Guess the staff member!

1.Guess which member of staff is standing behind you.

2. If everyone in the group guesses correctly, the team gets 5 additional minutes to their shopping time!]

[ID: Jet, Haru and Aang standing next to each other. Persons wearing black stand behind each of them.]

Jet: ”Hmm… I think my person is manager Park.”

[Everyone stays quiet in anticipation.]

Haru: ”Mine is.. cameraman Feng?”

Aang: ”I think mine is.. uhhh.. Yangchen-noona.”

[ID: The rest of the group make an incorrect buzzer sound with their mouths behind the camera. The three members on screen turn around and Haru bows in apology to the person behind him, indicating he was the one who got it wrong. It switches to the other group standing in front of the camera.]

Hahn: “I think my person iss.. cameraman Zhao.”

Sokka: “I’m trusting my gossip buddy, please be makeup-noona Song.”

Zuko: “I think… director Jee?”

[ID: The staff starts clapping and the three turn around to see they each guessed their respective staff members correctly. The three members high five each other, and then their staff members.]

Staff member 1: ”Okay, so you three have 15 minutes to do your shopping. Other team only has 10. Good luck!”

[ID: The guys go back to the cars they arrived in, and both cars leave the yard of the house.]

…

[ID: The boys are standing in the kitchen of a house with ingredients laid on the table in front of them.] 

Sokka: “Before we start cooking, we must honor our fallen soldiers.”

Haru: “You mean the sausages we lost in the challenge? Because you insisted on getting them and then Jet got the exact same brand so we couldn’t even negotiate that they were different?”

Sokka: “You did not have to get that specific.”

Hahn, interrupting them: ”So we are going to be cooking in pairs. We decided to do passengers in each car and the drivers as the pairs.” 

[ID: A three way split screen pops up. On the left there is a clip of Zuko and Hahn, in the middle a clip of Aang and Haru, and on the right, a clip of Sokka and Jet.]

Hahn: ”Sokka and Jet are taking care of grilling the meat, me and Zuko are making the kimchi jjigae, and Aang and Haru are in charge of all the side dishes.”

Hahn: “Also whoever gets done first has to set the table.”

[ID: A montage of all three teams cooking. The camera changes between Sokka and Jet using the grill outside, Zuko and Hahn putting ingredients into a pot on the stove, and Aang and Haru shoving packets of noodles and spices into a pot on the kitchen island.]

[ID: All the food has been placed onto a table and all six of the members are sitting around the table, piling food into their plates. Haru is distributing drinks from a cooler to each person around the table. They start eating, and everyone goes silent as they enjoy the food. A caption at the bottom says “only time you can ever find them this quiet..”]

Sokka: “Is it just me or does it taste better when you make it yourself?”

Zuko: “Well you would know if you ever actually cooked for yourself.” [Sokka chokes on his food, and starts coughing and laughing at the same time. Some of the others laugh as well.]

Hahn: “How are we sleeping? I think each room has two beds?”

Haru: “Should we just do the cooking pairs? Or draw names again?”

[ID: Some of them shrug and some nod, and the conversation dies again in favor of eating. The caption at the bottom says “???”]

Jet: ”Who’s doing the dishes since we all cooked?” [All of their plates are empty, and so are most of the food dishes.]

Sokka: ”Should we do a Just Dance -battle? Loser does the dishes.”

[ID: All six of them are sitting in the living room. Aang is holding a controller and flipping through songs on the TV.]

Aang: ”What song should we do? We need to dance to the same song for it to be fair.”

Sokka: ”Ooh! Can we do Lady Gaga?”

Jet: ”How about Can’t stop the feeling?”

Sokka: ”Please no, I hate that video and you know that.” [He juts out his bottom lip and looks at Jet with big eyes.]

Zuko: ”And you only want Lady Gaga because you know you’ll win.”

[ID: They end up dancing to Rasputin. Short clips of all three pairs crouching and bouncing up to kick the air. The caption says ”May the best knees win…”]

[ID: Jet ends up losing the battle as he gets the lowest score. He leaves to the kitchen to take care of their dishes while grumbling something along the lines of being old. He can be seen shuffling in the background while the others keep dancing.]

Aang: “How about round two for breakfast duty? Let’s do it without Jet so he can’t get two penalties.”

Haru: “Yeah! What song though?”

[ID: The song they end up going with is Bad Romance by Lady Gaga, much to Sokka’s excitement. He obviously wins the round, but the person who comes last is not revealed.]

The house is silent and all Sokka can hear is the soft sound of Zuko’s snoring. They are in Chuncheon, on the couch of the vacation house they had rented for the content they are filming. Sokka and Zuko had gone on a walk around three in the morning, when the others had gone to bed. Neither one of them had been tired before or after the walk, and thus they ended up chatting on the couch. Sleep got the better of Zuko somewhere around 4.30am, but Sokka is still wide awake.

They had decided to room in the pairs they cooked with, but Sokka didn’t want to disturb Zuko by getting up. He knows that Zuko has trouble sleeping most nights and he wasn’t going to be the one to wake him up. Jet could survive the night without him, they didn’t even live together for god’s sake. 

He finds himself staring at Zuko. Something had definitely shifted in their dynamic ever since the conversation they had had in the recording studio. Sokka was unsure what that “something” was, and what it meant for them. While they had agreed to not change anything about their relationship, Sokka couldn’t help but feel like speaking the whole fake-relationship thing into existence had done irredeemable damage to their friendship on a fundamental level. 

And maybe deep-down, that was what Sokka wanted. The idea of romance with his best-friend, fake or not, did not seem all that bad when he thought about it and oh. 

Maybe, just maybe, Sokka might possibly have a tiny little miniscule crush on Zuko. Not that he could ever tell him that, as long as they worked in the industry at least. Sokka didn’t even know if Zuko liked men, and even though more and more of their fellow idols were coming out of the closet, it was unheard of for two idols from the same group to date each other. Sokka had known he was bisexual around the time he turned 15, and he had made his peace with the fact that he would probably never be fully out of the closet. As long as his family knew and was supportive, well, that was all he could ask for.

For now though, he decides, he could try to enjoy the situation, fake or not. The eventual heartbreak that will most likely come with that decision was something he could deal with later. That is when Zuko stirs from his sleep and looks up at Sokka who is still sitting on his side of the couch. 

“…’okka? you shld sleep dude..” Zuko mumbles and tugs on Sokka’s arm to get him to lay down. A stronger man would probably have left to sleep in his own bed, but who was Sokka to turn down an invitation like that?

And if Haru finds them cuddling on the couch the next morning, well, let’s just say he takes a picture or two before waking them up before the cameras start rolling.

As they do before every comeback, all six members of the group are once again gathered in a conference room on the 14th floor of the company building. On the table, there are piles of albums and little cards with each of their faces on them to be signed. 

The others dreaded the activity and often cursed the company for making a deal with an album retailer for a certain number of signed albums per comeback, but Sokka found that he didn’t mind the activity. It was mindless and repetitive, pick up an album, sign it, hand it off to the next person.

What he didn’t understand was the concept of photocards, which they also had to sign. First of all, there were the cringe-y selfies they had to take for them with cutesy expressions and whatever props were handed to them. Personally he wouldn’t want a picture of a grown man doing a heart hand no matter how big of a fan he was. Although he did have one of Aang hanging on one of his bags. It had started off as a joke but it had been there for about a year now and Sokka had no plans of taking it off. Second of all, for some reason the fans LOVED it. Like, willing to spend hundreds on albums just to obtain certain photocards -level loved it. 

Well, it’s not like Sokka was paid to understand the concept of them, and as long as it made the fans happy, he was happy to do it. It also benefited their album sales, signed or not. In any case, he thought the fans should just print out his better selfies for free and carry those around instead. It would do wonders for his image.

At some point, when he starts getting restless and Aang’s wrist starts cramping, they leave the room for a ”quest” as they liked to call it. In reality they just venture down to the 3rd floor, as that is where the best vending machine for snacks is located.

”I’m so hecking tired of this, the weather is so nice and I could be outside or something but instead I’m stuck in here,” Aang laments as they step into the elevator. Sokka chuckles.

”You know you can curse, right?” Sokka asks, amused by Aang’s behavior.

”I know, but I don’t want to risk it..” Aang makes a face, as if even imagining cursing in a public setting by accident makes him feel physically bad. And maybe it does. If anyone would feel bad about that, it would be Aang. 

”Besides, would you even go outside if it weren’t for this? I can bet you real money that you would be at home playing League right now if you could.” Sokka jokes, as they reach the vending machine.

”Hey!” Aang protests. ”I said I could be outside. Not that I necessarily would.” They both start laughing at that.

[ID: Eventually Hahn shows up as well and they all gather around the table to eat.]

Aang: ”What are we doing today? We got like 5 hours before we return to Seoul.”

Sokka: ”I wanted to go swim but I slept so badly that” [He yawns] ”I’m probably gonna nap first.”

Haru: [Pointing at the others with his chopsticks.] ”At first, you people are doing the dishes and I’m going to sleep right there just to flex on you guys.” [He points the chopsticks towards the cushioned bench in the kitchen. It looks just wide enough for a person to lay down. The others laugh.]

Hahn: ”Well, get ready for the most uncomfortable sleep of your life.”

Zuko: ”I wanted to play badminton, if it’s not too windy.”

[ID: The others nod enthusiastically. They finish the dishes fast, while Haru can be seen lounging on the bench in the background with a smug look on his face.]

[ID: Sokka and Jet’s room. Jet is laying on his bed and judging by the sound, he is watching short-form content on his phone. Sokka is sitting up in his bed which is closer to the door, leaning against the wall. Zuko is also sitting on his bed, leaning on the adjacent wall. They are both on their own phones, occasionally showing each other something.]

[ID: The door opens and Haru walks in. He lays on Sokka’s bed on his stomach, in the space that is not occupied by either Sokka or Zuko yet. No one is really talking, they are all just existing in the same space.]

[ID: The door opens again and Aang walks in. He dives to lay down next to Jet. Hahn follows him and goes to lay on top of both Aang and Jet on his back. This earns him an elbow to the back from Jet, but Hahn seems unbothered by it. The caption at the bottom says ”Is this what they do at the dorms..?”]

Aang: ”Ow! Hahn you’re crushing my spine..”

Hahn: ”Don’t care.”

Sokka: ”So who wanted to go swimming with me?”

Hahn: ”I can, not really feeling badminton right now..”

Sokka: ”So we’re going swimming at the lake now. Apparently there is an inflatable track or like a platform there and I have a challenge for you.” [He points at Hahn.]

Hahn: ”Me? Why and what is it?”

Sokka: ”Well I don’t see anyone else around so yes you. And my challenge is, we wrestle on the track and the loser who falls in the water first has to buy ice cream. For the whole filming crew and all of us too.”

Hahn: ”Oh, You’re on.”

Hahn, deadpan: ”Also there are plenty of people right there.” [He motions behind the camera, towards the crew.]

[ID: The other four walk down a hill into a clearing with a net. They are holding badminton rackets. They seem to be bickering about something and gesturing with their hands.]

Haru: ”It’s unfair to go me and Zuko against you two, we are so short we’ll lose immediately.”

Zuko, offended: ”Hey!”

Zuko: ”He’s right though, it’s unfair, you have a clear advantage.”

Jet: ”It’s not about height, you can just admit if you are bad at it.”

Aang: ”Guys we don’t have to fight about it. Let’s just do me and Zuko versus you two and get started.”

Jet: ”I think we should up the stakes a little bit, this is kinda boring. How do we feel about the losers jumping into the lake fully clothed?”

Sokka, Zuko and Haru are piled up on the living room couch in their dorm again. It is half a miracle that their tiny two-seater couch can fit three grown men on it, granted they do have to cuddle a little bit to fit comfortably. Somehow Haru seems to have half the couch to himself while Sokka and Zuko share the other half.

They are watching another Ghibli movie, this time it’s Arrietty, which Sokka hasn’t seen before. Zuko and Haru were determined to show Sokka the ”cultural touchstone he was missing that made his life miserable” as they had put it, and thus they were now on a mission of watching every movie from the studio. Sure he had seen the big ones, but apparently you had to see all of them before you could pick a favorite. So far his favorite was Whisper of the Heart, which they had watched a couple weeks ago. 

Sokka didn’t mind, as the movies were good and he could learn Japanese at the same time, since Zuko and Haru refused to watch them with anything but the original audio like the snobs they were. They had compromised for Korean subtitles, so Sokka would know what was going on at least. His Japanese had improved a lot in the recent months, but not that much.

Subtitles or not, Sokka is hardly paying attention to the movie. He is thinking about a conversation he had had with Jet earlier that afternoon about him and Zuko. They had been sitting on Jet’s bed, hanging out, when he had suddenly asked: “What’s going on with you and Zukes? Are you like hooking up or something?” At Sokka’s shocked expression, he had laughed in his face. “I’m just kidding, but seriously what’s going on? You guys have been acting weird..”

Sokka had demanded an explanation on ‘acting weird.’ He had no problem with talking about the topic with Jet, but he wasn’t going to offer up the details by himself either. “Well, you were all mopey and distracted during the recording period, and then you two stayed back late to talk one time. And after that you literally slept on top of him on a tiny ass couch when you had a perfectly fine bed available in the next room. I don’t think that’s normal.” Sokka had narrowed his eyes. “How the hell do you know that?”

“Haru took a picture of you guys. Very cute by the way.” Jet had smirked at him in an infuriating way. He could still see the expression in his mind, and hours later it still pissed him off. “I don’t think it’s that weird. We’ve been friends for years.” Was all he had replied. Maybe a month or two ago he would have believed that as well, but Jet did not need to know that part. Jet had given him a look™ and with a “Whatever you say..” he had fully given up on the topic. The exchange had been weird to say the least, and thus it was still on his mind. 

Sokka shakes off the thoughts and focuses on the movie again. While he reaches for the cup of popcorn Haru is holding, Sokka looks at Zuko. It is one of those rare times when he’s not wearing any makeup to cover up his scar, and Sokka thinks this might be the Zuko he likes best. He seems so carefree and real, and still looks incredibly handsome and. Scratch that. That is not something Sokka wants to be thinking about while totally platonically cuddling up into the other man’s side.

Zuko, probably feeling Sokka’s stare, looks at him and gives him a small smile. ”Are you uncomfortable? You’re missing half the movie.” He nudges Sokka with his shoulder.

”We really should get a bigger couch, huh?” Haru jokes, spreading to take up one half of the couch by himself, while Sokka and Zuko struggle to fit on the other half. Sokka just nods and leans his head on Zuko’s shoulder. An action that he has done a million times during movie nights without a second thought, but now makes him second guess everything. His thoughts are racing, and he hopes that Zuko cannot feel how fast his heart is beating.

He most certainly has a big crush on Zuko.

This is the conclusion Sokka comes to around 11.24pm on a Tuesday halfway through September. It’s just the two of them sitting on the living room floor, leaning their backs against the couch with a half-forgotten pizza box between them. They are playing Minecraft in their pajamas, which is something they have done together ever since they became friends at the age of 17. Yes, the pajamas were mandatory as Sokka had insisted years ago. It added to the experience. Nowadays they mostly did it when Haru wasn’t home, more specifically when he was upstairs gaming with Aang.

“This reminds me of the time I played Minecraft with Azula and our cousin when I was younger and we were visiting them here in Korea.” Zuko starts as his side of the screen shows him mining inside the mine next to the base they had built earlier. Sokka nods to indicate that he’s listening, too absorbed in hunting the animals on his side of the screen to give an actual response. It’s unclear if Zuko notices, but he continues anyways.

“Me and Lu Ten decided to prank Azula by making her mine downwards, and then she drowned in lava and got extremely mad. She holds it over my head to this day.” He chuckles.

Sokka laughs and ditches his controller in favor of a slice of now-cold pizza. His entire body is turned towards Zuko, watching him as he plays the game. It’s one of those nights when Zuko isn’t wearing any makeup to cover his scar and there’s something ethereal about the way he looks in the light of the television. Sokka thinks he could look at him for hours and not get bored. Zuko is muttering something about not finding the right type of ore, and Sokka can’t help but find his gaze wandering towards his lips.

“Have you ever kissed a guy?” Sokka blurts out against his better judgement.

Zuko seems taken aback. “I- what…?” He asks, and Sokka repeats the question, in too deep to back down now. Zuko puts his controller down and turns to look at him, resting his arm on the couch. Sokka’s fiddling with the strings on his pajama pants, suddenly feeling extremely conscious about his body.

“Well.. I haven’t kissed much of anyone except for Mai from the dance studio. Why do you ask? Have you?” Zuko asks in a tone that Sokka can’t necessarily decipher. Something about the question sounds almost hopeful, much to Sokka’s confusion.

“No.. just something that came to mind..” Sokka replies, a little embarrassed by his out of nowhere question.

“Oh. Would you like to?” Zuko asks awkwardly. “I don’t mean with me! Just asking in general.” He scrambles to clarify after seeing Sokka’s shocked expression. They both awkwardly laugh at the absurdity of the conversation.

“Uh yeah.. I’m bi if that’s what you’re asking,” Sokka replies, suddenly feeling incredibly nervous. He knows his friend and knows that Zuko won’t judge or react negatively, but saying it out loud is still nerve-wracking nonetheless.

“Oh cool! I mean.. me too.” Zuko gives him a small smile and squeezes Sokka’s shoulder with the hand that was previously resting on the couch. Has Zuko been that close to him this entire time? Their faces are only a couple centimeters apart, when Sokka could’ve sworn there was at least an open pizza box’s worth of space between them like a minute ago. Sokka could quite literally kiss him right now if he only leaned in a little bit. Zuko seems to notice this as well, and they both turn their heads away at the same time. He can see a faint blush on Zuko’s cheeks. It’s cute.

For lack of a better thing to say in the awkward moment, Sokka holds up his hand. “Twinsies! High five!”

Zuko high fives him back and they both laugh. They pick up their controllers again and go back to their respective tasks in the game, as if the previous conversation didn’t happen. It does result in a valuable piece of information for Sokka though. Zuko is interested in men, which means he has a chance, right?

”Sooo, did you and your loverboy get your shit sorted out?” Haru asks Sokka in a teasing way. They are standing in their dorm kitchen, as Sokka’s shoving half of a convenience store triangle kimbap into his mouth, in nothing but a t-shirt and boxers. 

”Well good morning to you too.” Sokka replies with a hand over his mouth, in an attempt to not spill rice out of his mouth. ”And yea, we did.” 

”So I thought.”

”What the hell does that mean?” Sokka asks, baffled.

”Well, when he’s not singing in the shower,” Haru motions towards the bathroom where Zuko currently was. ”You two seem awfully close outside of filming content as well so I assume you talked to him and things went well. That’s all.” He explains. 

”Yeah, I mean we talked about it and set out some plans to satisfy the company but I don’t think we have really done anything. Like I don’t think we’ve been any closer than normal.” Sokka goes quiet for a couple seconds. ”Have we?”

Haru bursts out laughing. ”Yes you have! Have you genuinely not noticed?”

Before Sokka can answer, Zuko opens the bathroom door and steps out. Sokka and Haru go quiet, but Haru gives Sokka a look that indicates the conversation was definitely not over yet, and would continue at a later point. Not that the topic was a big secret to be kept from Zuko, as it was actively about him, but something about discussing it in front of him felt wrong. Not to mention that the topic was also painfully awkward. Neither of them had brought it up since the initial conversation.

It’s not like Haru even knew about his little crush anyways, at least not from Sokka himself, so he didn’t know what there really was to talk about. Whatever he had guessed or theorized was not under Sokka’s control. To be honest, Sokka had noticed them being closer than usual but he didn’t know how to feel about the fact that Haru had also noticed. As had Jet. He had been so focused on Zuko not noticing his feelings, that he hadn’t even considered the others saw the two of them interact every day. Maybe it was only in comparison to the week or so when they didn’t talk at all? Somehow he doubted Haru would’ve brought it up to him if that was the case…

His thoughts are interrupted by an armful of Zuko wrapped in a bathrobe, hair still dripping wet from the shower, muttering something about dying of hypothermia and how much he hates morning showers. Sokka instinctively wraps his arms around Zuko, who melts into the touch. Haru gives him a knowing look and disappears to his room, leaving the other two hugging in the kitchen. Sure, Zuko was physically affectionate with all of them, but this certainly was out of the ordinary.

After what feels like an eternity, but must only be a couple minutes at best in reality, Zuko lifts his head off of Sokka’s shoulder. He leans back to look at Sokka. “We gotta leave soon, you should put some pants on. I don’t think they’ll let you into the company building like that.” Zuko jokes, emphasizing his statement by poking Sokka in the chest.

“You’re one to talk, Mr. robe. At least I got some form of pants on.” Sokka retorts and throws the plastic wrapper he left on the counter into the trash can. “One gust of wind and it’s all over for you.” Zuko laughs and pulls out his phone from the robe pocket to check the time. “No but seriously we should get ready. I still need to.. ya know..” He vaguely gestures towards his scar and disappears back to the bathroom with a “thanks for being my space heater!”

As the bathroom door closes, Sokka puts his head in his hands and groans. He’s so far gone it’s not even funny anymore.

Hahn: ”We have been preparing hard for the comeback. I think this is our second comeback since the time me and Aang were on the show? We went on tour after the previous album, as it was our first full length one.”

Haru: ”Besides that we’ve been relaxing and just practicing in general. We like to take singing lessons and dance classes whenever it’s possible to always learn more.”

Aang, pointing at Sokka: ”Oh! He has also been doing a lot of MC work outside of the group activities!”

Sokka: ”That is true.”

Teo: ”Well sounds like you guys have been booked and busy! Anything special you have been doing during your time off or just pure relaxing?”

Sokka: ”Bit of both actually. During longer breaks we like to go see family and friends but often we just sleep all day at the dorm.” [Everyone chuckles]

Teo: ”Well seems like you guys got a good balance of both. And now onto the album, which will be out by the time this episode comes out. Who wants to tell me what it’s about?”

Jet: ”So we are coming back with our 3rd mini album called ’Us’. It’s a little different from our previous music, as we kind of built the whole album around the topic of love. I would say it has a song for every mood and phase of a relationship. We also had Zuko and Aang participate in writing some of the songs, which they haven’t done before!”

Teo: ”I understand that Zuko, you participated in writing the title track. Could you tell us a little about the song and how you felt about being part of the writing process?”

Zuko: ”The title track is called ”You & I” and it mixes heartfelt lyrics with upbeat sound. I think I would describe it as sort of a promise between two people.”

Zuko: ”And I quite enjoyed the writing process and would like to do more of that in the future. I was lucky I had Sokka guiding me as we were writing together.”

Teo: ”That’s so cool! I’m definitely looking forward to hearing more songs by you. I’m intrigued and I assume the fans are as well, what is each of your favorite songs on the album?”

Aang: ”I might be a little biased since I participated in writing it a little bit, but I really like ’mountains’. I’m happy we included a non-romantic love song as well, since it’s more about friendship! It reminds me of the place we wrote it in.” [Sokka turns around in his seat and looks up at Aang. They grin at each other.]

Hahn: ”I like Jet’s ’Storm’. The vibe of it is unlike anything we’ve released before and I just really like the song, it’s been stuck in my head since we first recorded it.”

Sokka: ”Mine has to be ’Fire’, I think I resonate with the lyrics the most.”

Jet: ”’Storm’ is the most personal for me, so I’m gonna have to go with that one.”

Zuko: ”’Fire’ for me as well. Or ’smile’, I really can’t decide.”

Haru: ”I really like all of them, this is exactly the type of music I like to listen to.”

Teo: ”Interesting… I’m gonna have to say, this just made me want to listen to it more.” [Everyone laughs.] 

[ID: The screen goes blurry and the title ”Superlatives” shows up in a colorful font. Once the title goes away, each member is holding a stick with a yellow pointing hand at the end of it. Sokka is using the stick to poke Hahn with the finger and Aang is pretending to pick his nose with it. The camera zooms on Teo again.]

Teo: ”So now, we are going to play a game called Superlatives! I say a statement and you guys point at who it applies to.”

Teo: ”We’ll start off with an easy one. Who wakes up the earliest?”

[ID: Everyone else points at Zuko, except for Zuko and Jet who point at Aang.]

Teo: ”Zuko and Aang it seems. Zuko, why did you pick Aang?”

Zuko: ”Well, we often wake up around the same time, but he’s always got energy whereas I very much do not.”

Haru: ”Can confirm! Zuko’s scary when he wakes up. If we ever wake up around the same time I avoid him for the first hour since he is so cranky.”

Teo: ”Understandable. How about who wakes up the latest?”

[ID: Everyone points at Hahn, even himself. They all laugh.]

Sokka: ”He sleeps like a crazy person. Like genuinely I’ve never seen anyone who can sleep that long and for like long periods at a time as well.”

Teo: ”Moving on. Who has the most photos on their phone?”

 [ID: Most people point at Haru. Haru and Aang point at Sokka.]

Teo: ”Tell me, why Haru and why Sokka?”

Aang: ”Sokka has the most memes.”

Jet: ”Haru just takes a lot of pictures. Like everywhere and of everything.”

Teo: ”Is there a possibility you could show us the most recent picture you’ve taken?”

Haru: ”Sure thing.”

[ID: He pulls his phone out of his pocket and taps a couple times before looking up again.]

Haru: ”Uhh… I don’t think I can show this actually. It’s of Sokka and Zuko gaming last night but-”

Zuko: ”Oh yeah, we’re uh… making really ugly faces in that one.”

Haru: ”I can show you this one of Aang from earlier that day though.”

Zuko and Aang are sitting on the floor of an empty room. Zuko is wearing a maroon hoodie with the hood pulled up, and his hair is sticking out from the front. Aang is wearing a yellow hoodie with light blue text on it. He is also wearing a beanie, and both of them are wearing black joggers. They are both leaning forward to fit into the screen.

“Hello Suns!! We are in the practice room today, which can only mean one thing!” Aang starts as people start joining the live. “What does it mean, Zuko?” He asks, seeming way more enthusiastic about whatever they are doing than Zuko does. Not that Zuko doesn’t seem to care about what they are doing, Aang just has a lot more energy.

“A practice room dance live.”

“A practice room dance live!! That means you can request songs for us to dance to in the chat.”

They both go quiet and read the live chat.

“New title song, you and I, you and I please..” Zuko reads out loud. “I think it might be ’You and I.’” He chuckles and they both stand up. Aang pulls out his phone and starts looking for the song, as they discuss what part to dance to. They decide to go with the first chorus and the music starts playing as Aang slides his phone on the floor.

They dance to the choreography of the chorus and pre-chorus, which matches the upbeat sound more than the lyrics. When the rap part starts after the chorus, they both drop down to the floor and slide towards their respective phones. Aang joins Zuko in reading the chat after turning the music off.

“The dance break from ‘Dragons’??” Aang asks in disbelief after reading a comment.

“That’s so specific I feel like we have to do it..” Zuko contemplates. “Do newer Suns even know about that one?”

“Well, in case you don’t know! This is from a performance we did at the end of 2023.. It was a year-end show and we performed the song ‘Dragons’ from our debut album.” Aang explains. “Do you remember the dance still?” He checks with Zuko as he looks for the song.

“We practiced so hard for that, I don’t think I’ll ever forget…” Zuko replies and gets up from the floor.

The music starts playing, and Aang gets up as well. Even though it has been a year and a half since the original performance, they both do the dance perfectly, mirroring each other. As the instrumental ends and the lyrics continue, they both collapse on the floor laughing. 

“That was so fun!” Aang exclaims.

“I love that dance, thank you to whoever requested it.” Zuko adds.

His phone rings. 

Sokka pauses the movie he’s watching on his laptop and reaches for his phone. The caller ID says Zuko, along with a silly picture of him taken during their trainee days that Sokka hasn’t had the heart to change or remove. It’s weird though, they never really call each other since, well, they live together. For that reason, Sokka picks up the phone immediately, fearing something bad has happened.

”Hey.”

”Hi.”

”Is everything okay?”

”I- yeah I think so?” Zuko sounds so small over the phone, and Sokka feels like he would do anything to be able to hug him right now.

”What happened?”

”So me and Aang are at the company building. And one staff member informed me that I have until the end of the week to make a decision on the scar.” 

“In the middle of the promotions?!?” 

“Yea… apparently..”

“Well.. have you decided..?” He asks carefully, unsure on how to approach the topic.

“I don’t know.. I just want this to be over at this point.” Zuko sighs. “I’ve been thinking.. could you come with me? To the meeting…”

“Of course!” He replies, maybe a little too fast. “I mean... if you want me to be there I would love to..”

He can hear the slight smile in Zuko’s voice. “Okay, um, great.”

“Also, I assume they might want the two of us in a meeting soon anyway. For a… performance report, ya know.” Sokka adds, purposefully avoiding naming the topic. What the hell would he even say? Hey the company might want to have a meeting about the fake crush i’m supposed to be having on you to queerbait our fans while having a big real life unrequited crush on you? No thanks.

Although recently, Sokka had sort of been picking up on a vibe that it might not be unrequited after all. However that might just be wishful thinking on his part, and Zuko was just doing his job of fulfilling the company’s request. After all, the shift had happened after their first conversation on the topic as far as Sokka was concerned.

He wasn’t sure what the meeting would even be about, it’s not like they had even done anything outside the norm in any of the content. They hadn’t talked about it since the first time, and none of their on-camera interactions had been acted out or planned in any way. Hell, it seemed like their interactions had been more romantic outside the view of the cameras.

“Might as well get both of them out of the way at once,” Zuko replies. There is a moment of silence on both sides of the call.

“Are you coming home soon? I think we should kick Haru out to do some more minecrafting. To get your mind off this thing..”

“On my way.”

Both Sokka and Zuko are fidgeting in their seats in the meeting room. The group had successfully finished their first week of promotions for the new song, and still had another one ahead. For now though, they are waiting for the staff to show up for the meeting no one really wants to have. 

After exchanging greetings, Manager Park gets right on topic. She’s one of the three staff members present, which Sokka knows is different from Zuko’s first meeting on the scar topic. There had been a lot more people, which is one of the reasons Sokka decided to tag along. Strength in numbers and all that. “So, I assume you know why you two are here. Based on our analytics, it seems like your little stunt has been successful.” She turns her laptop around to show them some graphs. They don’t really mean anything to Sokka, but he pretends to study them intensely.

”As you can see, there have been plenty of discussions about your relationship, especially within the western side of the fanbase.” Manager Park continues while pointing at some graph going upwards. “It is also important to note that these fans on social media are bringing in a lot of new fans, thus driving up album sales. Overall this has been very profitable for us.”

“I’m gonna be honest, I don’t think we did much of anything..” Sokka admits. He  suddenly feels incredibly guilty for the idea of baiting the fans, as well as getting praise for something he hasn’t actually done. He reaches to squeeze Zuko’s hand for reassurance. He’s unclear if it’s supposed to reassure Zuko or himself. Nonetheless, Zuko grasps his hand and they keep holding hands under the table. The staff doesn’t seem to notice.

“Well, based on our research it seems like whatever you are doing is working very well. Keep doing what you’re doing.” She gives them a tight smile. “Writing the love song together was a great choice too, the fans seemed to love that.”

Sokka and Zuko exchange an awkward look between themselves, both seemingly deciding not to tell her the song was written way before any of the fake relationship stuff was brought up. What she doesn’t know won’t hurt her. Sokka chooses to ignore the implications of her statement, at least for now. What he doesn’t overthink won’t hurt him either.

“Sokka, may I ask you to leave while we discuss something with Zuko?” Manager Park asks as they wrap up the discussion on the relationship stuff. Sokka looks at Zuko for the answer, he had promised to join the meeting after all.

“No, let him stay, he’ll hear about it later anyways.” Zuko responds dryly. Manager Park gives him a disapproving look, but drops the subject nonetheless. Zuko tightens his grip on Sokka’s hand. Sokka tries not to think about the fact they have been holding hands for the entirety of the meeting.

“So have you made your decision on what we previously discussed?” She asks Zuko.

“Yes, I have.”

“And?”

“I’m not doing it.”

Manager Park looks disappointed and sighs. “I was under the impression that last time you were in favor of getting the surgery. Are you absolutely positive this is what you want? It would make things a lot easier for you…”

“Yes. I’m positive.” 

“But think of how easy it would be for you to not have to do makeup just to walk to practice or go to the store.” 

“I’m sorry manager but I think you mean how much easier it would be for the company. Zuko clearly has no issue covering up the scar, but removing it would benefit your budget for makeup artists and scheduling. There are a lot of things that could go wrong with a surgery near the eye and I don’t understand why you’d be willing to risk that for a 30 minute improvement in scheduling.” Sokka retorts bluntly. He squeezes Zuko’s hand in apology. After all he had promised to be there for emotional support only, Zuko didn’t need him to fight his fights for him. Zuko squeezes back.

Manager Park purses her lips. She doesn’t seem to disagree with Sokka, at least audibly. The other two staff members seem unhappy, but don’t comment on it.

“I think that might answer your question. I obviously thought about it and trust me, I’d love nothing more than to not have the scar, but I’m not willing to risk it.” Zuko replies calmly. “Also it has taken me a long time to be okay with how I look with the scar. I know I have to cover it because of the NDA but I currently have no problems with it or my appearance. I don’t know what I’d do if I got the surgery and it went wrong..”

”Are you absolutely sure? Don’t you think it’s a little selfish?” The staff member on the left of Manager Park chimes in. Sokka doesn’t even know the man’s name.

”It’s my face, I think I’m allowed to be a little selfish.” Zuko sounds very sweet, but after knowing him for years Sokka can tell he is absolutely seething. That and he can actively feel Zuko crushing his fingers in the hand he is holding.

”And you are not concerned about the fans speculating about the scar?” The staff member continues. 

“It’s not like I voluntarily went and asked my father to give me a burn scar you know. Let them speculate.” Zuko raises his voice a little. The staff members look uncomfortable, but Sokka can’t find it in himself to care. He rubs the back of Zuko’s hand with his thumb in an attempt to comfort him. He knew the topic was rough and Zuko didn’t like to talk about it. Who would? 

After a minute of tense silence Manager Park speaks up. “Alright. I am going to inform the upper management about this then.” She gives Zuko a tight smile. “I’m gonna have to say, I admire your attitude about this.”

Zuko gives her a similar polite smile in return. “Thank you.” He doesn’t sound thankful in the slightest, but Manager Park either doesn’t notice or chooses to ignore that.

“Well then, you guys are dismissed.”

Zuko looks confused. “I- That’s it?”

“Yes. Unless you have any questions?”

“No. I do not.” Zuko replies and lets go of Sokka’s hand as he stands up. “Have a nice day.”

They leave the room and as soon as the door behind them closes, Zuko looks at him with a big grin on his face. Sokka can’t help but mirror his expression.

“Holy shit you did it!” Sokka exclaims. They stop to stand in the hallway.

“No dude, you’re the one who did most of it. You said exactly what I wanted to but I just couldn’t get the words out. Thank you so much.” Zuko replies with stars in his eyes. “I’m so happy I could kiss you right now!”

“Are you serious?” Sokka asks, taken aback.

“Oh sorry. I didn’t mean to say that out loud… I mean! at all! Sorry I made it wei-“

“Do it.” Sokka replies, hoping he read the vibe correctly. God knows they had already had enough awkward conversations in the past couple months if not.

“..Can I..?” Zuko asks, looking up at Sokka.

In a moment of bravery, Sokka grabs him by the front of his shirt and pulls him behind a corner. And after what feels like an eternity of pining and confusion, he finally kisses Zuko. Sure it had only been a couple of months since he actually realized his feelings for Zuko, but maybe the feelings he had for his best friend had subconsciously been there for a lot longer. That would explain a lot of things actually.

In the split second it takes for Zuko to react and kiss him back, Sokka goes through the entire spectrum of human emotions, afraid that somehow he had misread the situation after all, but suddenly Zuko’s hands are in his hair and he’s kissing him back and all of his doubts instantly disappear.

The ding of the elevator on another hallway makes them scramble apart. They both break into giggles.

“You don’t even know how long I’ve wanted to do that,” Zuko admits. He’s a little out of breath, more due to adrenaline than the kiss itself.

”Me too”

“So you mean-“

“We could’ve been doing this the entire time?” Sokka finishes his sentence.

Zuko sighs. “More or less, yeah..”

”Wait. how long….?”

”Since we wrote the song together. Or maybe before..” Zuko admits.

“Oh..” Is all Sokka can reply. “Dude, I think we might be stupid.”

“You were fully ready to make out with me in this hallway and now you’re calling me dude?” Zuko asks with a smirk. However, if there’s anything Sokka knows about Zuko when it comes to teasing is that he can dish it out, but certainly can’t take it. By all means this should apply to flirting as well.

“Oh, what should I call you then, honey?” Sokka teases. As predicted, Zuko blushes. Despite himself, Sokka can’t help but find it adorable. He’s so whipped for Zuko it’s borderline embarrassing. At least Zuko is the only person witnessing this, or he would never live it down. As he makes a mental note of “Zuko likes being called honey”, Zuko swats him on the arm and starts dragging him towards the elevators.

“Let’s go home idiot.”

Chapter Text

Sokka is lying awake in his bed in the early hours of the morning.

Zuko is lightly snoring next to him, exhausted from the day they’ve had. Sokka should and would have been asleep by now too, if it weren’t for his tendency to spiral and overthink right before falling asleep every night. Aang’s birthday had just passed the week before, and the new year was fast approaching. With the new year came the year-end performances that they had been tirelessly practicing for for the better part of the last month. Between dance and singing practices and Sokka’s MC job, he had next to no free time. 

What little free time he had, it was mostly spent with Zuko. After their first kiss about two months ago, they had talked until the early hours of the morning. The conclusion they had come to was that they were both willing to try a real relationship, under the stipulation that they would call it quits if the relationship started to affect either of their jobs as idols. And if things didn’t work out between them, they would stay friends after no matter what, for the sake of the team. Surely easier said than done, but so far things had been going great.

If Sokka was being honest, not much had changed in the way they interacted with each other. They were both very physically affectionate people already, now they just kissed as well. And held hands more often. And slept in the same bed sometimes. Okay, maybe some things had changed but it all just seemed so natural with Zuko. Sokka’s pet names hadn’t really caught on either, so they still called each other dude and idiot and buddy and other equally just as romantic terms.

This also made it easier to act like nothing was happening in front of company staff. There was no risk of exposing the relationship by accidentally calling each other “babe” in front of the dance teacher or manager Park or something. There had already been a couple close calls of the staff seeing them hold hands in the hallways and that one time when they had been cuddling on the couch in the practice room. So far the excuse of “We’re just improving our chemistry for the pretend relationship” had worked, and they had gotten praise for being so dedicated, but that excuse would not fly forever. It was very funny to Sokka that the staff was accepting enough to have them pretend to be in a relationship, but still homophobic enough for the possibility that they could be in an actual one to not even cross their minds. Not that he was complaining of course. 

As for the team, only Haru knew about them so far, since they lived together and it was very hard to keep secrets in a small three bedroom apartment. He had not been surprised in the slightest, much to both Sokka and Zuko’s annoyance. Sokka wanted to tell Aang more than anything, but Aang was bad at keeping secrets and the information would find its way to Katara faster than lightning.

As Sokka wanted to tell her himself and to do it face to face, Aang was unfortunately going to have to wait. They had a longer break at the beginning of January after all the year-end performances, and Sokka and Katara were going to be flying to Canada to see family. That’s when he would tell her, and dad and Gran Gran too. Now that Sokka had his shit somewhat together on the relationship-front, he could tease Katara about Aang to his heart’s content and for once, she had nothing to use against him. 

While obviously still frustrated with the company and their whole scheme of queerbaiting the fans, Sokka couldn’t help but be kind of thankful. At this point, was it even queerbaiting if they actually were in a relationship? He didn’t necessarily think it was right or morally correct, but without the whole stunt, they wouldn’t have ended up here. Maybe years down the line when future Sokka would have eventually realized he had more than a best friend type of feelings for Zuko, but who even knows. Definitely not Sokka. He hadn’t even realized his feelings when he was actively writing love songs about Zuko, so it was safe to say the chances of that were slim.

In the dark, he can feel Zuko reaching towards him, still fast asleep. As Sokka wraps his arms around Zuko’s sleeping form, he thinks that all he knows for sure right now is that there’s no one else he’d rather be breaking the dating ban with.
