Chapter 1: Prologue
Chapter Text
This is my first long fan fiction stories and also I will try and and not make this some dumb pooh's adventures like thing where they have or add like over dozens of characters into the story and add lots of weird ships like they are going to be ships in this story and spin offs or other story's that take place in this universe but it's just going to be shipping characters from the same franchises.
Chapter 2: The Beginning
Chapter Text
We start above a forest as we see mountains in the background as the camera pans down at a waterfall and pans though the forest.
Narrator: A summer's day, 70 million years ago.
We then see pan to a tree with a pinecone
Narrator: (con'd) The Arctic. But not the barren, icy landscape we know. The Earth is a much warmer place.
Narrator: (con'd) And in the summer (some seeds of the pinecone drift in the air) round-the-clock sunlight supercharges the forest vegetation.
The seeds start falling to the ground
Narrator A fertile feast for some of the planet's biggest and hungriest creatures.
We see an Edmontosaurus eating some leaves on a tree as one leaf's falls off.
Narrator: Dinosaurs.
The leaf floats in the air as we see more Edmontosaurus as well as a young one.
Narrator: There are thousands of vegetarian dinosaurs come here for the endless supply of food.
Before the juvenile can eat the leaf a Edmontonia comes by and eats the leaf with one bite.
Narrator: Some are solitary animals like this Edmontonia.
As the Edmontonia walks off we see the young Edmontosaurus named Scar (a name he'll earn soon) stand upright on a tree and starts eating some leafs on a small branch that's low enough for him to reach.
Narrator: Scar is one of the youngest members of the herd when he was born last spring he weighed no more then a bag of sugar but he has thrived under the protection of his extended family.
As we see Scar nuzzling his mother
Narrator: (con'd) And is on his way to becoming a three ton adult.
We see Scar eating some leaves of a shrub.
Narrator: The Arctic provides warmth and all he can eat everything is going his way.
Two more young Edmontosaurus join Scar and begin to eat some shrubs
Narrator: But Scar will find out there's a price to pay though the summer brings 24 hour sunlight it will soon fade and 24 hour darkness will take its place.
Scar notices a small mammal running across a tree branch with a small one falling off he walks towards it.
Narrator: There are signs that summer is already letting go.
Scar picks up the branch and tries to chew it but he drops it as he sees somthing walking towards him.
Narrator:(con'd) Meaning tougher times for every dinosaur in the forest.
Another dinosaur walks towards Scar it was a Troodon and unlike Scar he was a carnivore and walked on two legs the Troodon hissed at Scar but stood up on his back legs making him look bigger as scared of the Troodon
Narrator: The most common predators here are Troodon this is Patch a young male he spent the summer feeding on baby Edmontosaurus but now Scar and his friends have grown to big and Patch must look for other prey.
Patch starts to look around until he spots some shrubs then a mammal pops out and starts running as Patch chases it the mammal hops into a hole as Patch stops and looks inside it.
Narrator: Troodon are among the most intelligent dinosaurs but Patch is just too young to have mastered the subtle arts of hunting
The camera pans to another hole.
Narrator: (con'd) He knows that what goes in must come out but he hasn't learned to cover all the exits.
The Mammal pops out of the second hole and starts running until it gets crushed by a foot of another Troodon.
Narrator: Unlike this fully grown Troodon.
The other Troodon picks up the dead mammal and swallows it hole as Patch watches.
Narrator: Patch needs to sharpen up his act in a hurry.
Patch walks off hoping he finds another meal.
Narrator: The clock is ticking the summer sun is dying fast and as winter approaches the Arctic will start to show its true colors.
Narrator: (Con'd) The perpetual is finally retreating as the shadows lengthens the danger grows now Scar will must deal with a threat he's never faced before nightfall.
Scar watches the sun set as it gets darker he walks away from is herd
Narrator: For Edmontosaurus darkness is danger they can no longer see predators coming this is no time to be away from the herd.
Scar begens to walk farther from his herd but he stops and looks around as he starts sensing something.
He then looks up and is terrified as he sees a big mouth full of sharp teeth heading right towards him!
Scar makes a break for it as one of the predators teeth gives him a little scar on his him and his herd starts running like hell as the predator starts to chase them it try's to bite Scar but he keeps dodging every bite Scar then jumps over a log and before the predator can catch him a bright flash of light hit one of the predators eyes as it trips and falls over the log.
Narrator: Luckily the first night of fall lasts just a moment the danger of surprise attach fades with the dawn.
The predator walks off back into the forest as we see Scar return to his herd.
Narrator: Scar is wounded but safely back in the sanctuary of the watchful herd for now on the coming winter will steal a bit more light from every passing day so for these herbivores every night will be more dangerous
Narrator: Soon the sun will disappear completely then the herd must leave on a great march south to find enough food and light to survive the winter.
The camera pans up to the sky
Narrator: But Scar and his herd aren't the only ones preparing because somewhere else in another world someone else is preparing for something.
Chapter Text
In another world an enchanted place called Earthbread a place where cookies live we pan to a house where a cookie named GingerBrave lives he makes letter as he gives it to a blue bird as it flys off just then another cookie walks in.
Custard Cookie lll: Hey GingerBrave! Did you... Send it?
GingerBrave Yep! They'll get in an hour or so! You're worrying what they'll think about our Kingdom, aren't you?
Custard Cookie lll: Yeah! This is the first time the Ancients are visiting are Kingdom! I want us to make a good impression! It would be awful if things went wrong.
GingerBrave: It'll go great Custard Cookie, I just know it! Come on, let's get the rest ready to plan the tour!
Both GingerBrave And Custard Cookie lll go get the others as we cut to the Vanilla Kingdom with the blue bird flys down next the Pure Vanilla Cookie one of the Ancient Cookies he takes the letter and pets the bird as it flys off as the cookie lets out a chuckle.
Pure Vanilla Cookie: Is this Custard Cookie again?
He opens the letter and begins to read it
Pure Vanilla Cookie: Oh! It's GingerBrave!
Another cookie walks in.
Hollyberry Cookie: Ah-Ha So you were in here this whole time!
Pure Vanilla Cookie: Hollyberry Cookie! Sorry to have kept you waiting. I was checking on my flowers until I received this letter.
Hollyberry Cookie: From Custard Cookie I presume?
Pure Vanilla Cookie: Not this time, it's from GingerBrave, he and his friends want to give us a tour of their Kingdom.
Hollyberry Cookie: Sounds like fun! I'm sure the rest will be thrilled by this invite!
Pure Vanilla Cookie: Even Dark Cacao Cookie?
Hollyberry Cookie: Yep! Don't worry, I'll make sure he's thrilled.
Meanwhile with Scar and his herd things have gotten a lot worse the forest begins to wither and die the competition for what food is left is about to get much tougher.
We see some Edmontosaurus bellowing.
The Edmontosaurus males bellow a warning to the herd danger approaches.
Scar looks around as we see what was coming it was another dinosaur it walked on four legs like Scar but it had a large boss on its nose and it had a frill. then a whole herd of them come walking in as one of them ran a headbutted a tree with leafs falling down a second one comes and both of them headbutting each other they were Pachyrhinosaurus two-tonne headbangers The brains inside these thick skulls are no bigger than a bird's, but their reinforced heads make excellent battering rams.
Scar and his mother walked on as another Pachyrinosaurus came and ate the leafs for Edmontosaurus a formidable rivel in the life or death struggle for food.
we then see Patch as he looks in a hole in the ground Troodon have evolved to survive the cold dark winters but they must make the most of autumn before some of the smaller prey hibernate and Patch is still a beginner of the killing game.
He looks down in the hole as dirt gets sprayed in he's face as a mammal runs out of the hole as Patch chases it a Troodon's brain is wired for high-speed pursuit like a bird of prey it is like he sees in slow motion he continues to chase to mammal until it climbs up a tree.
But even with his amazing eyesight some meals are just too quick for him.
Patch walks off as we cut back to Scar for him the days of plenty are over to survive the long march south he must now hunt out every last scrap of nourishment from the dying forest.
He then spots the Edmontonia she is an old hand at survival and is eating rotten wood an unlikely source of food of nutrition but the insect larvae within provide enough protein to keep her three-ton bulk going.
Scar try's to pick off and eat the rotten wood like the Edmontonia and it was a far cry from a diet of leaves and soft plants so scar walks off as we pan up to the forest as night was coming back.
