Summary
That’s how she’d gotten here.
Or at least that’s how she remembered it.
They say your life flashes before your eyes in your last moments, and she wasn’t quite sure if she was recalling it all correctly. It was hard for her to tell while she lay there choking on her own raw, thick, metallic blood.
She couldn’t see anything but she thought her eyes might have been open. And she couldn’t feel her arm either but she wasn’t sure if it was her brain not registering the searing pain she assumed she was in or her arm just not being there at all.
She could feel someone hovering over her, though she couldnt see whoever it was. But she could hear.
“Don’t let him come near, Fred” someone was shouting.
Blood shot through her nose and spilled over her face. She couldn’t move but she could tell her body was seizing.
“FRED STOP HIM” the same voice. Just louder this time.
Then as she lay there dying she finally realized what was going on. She had landed right where she’d wanted.
