Summary
Yuko lost her childhood friend. She was supposed to save the world, sparing her sister from the fate of other villagers, but Jin died so quickly. She spent years traveling, wandering, until she stumbled upon what remained of a home. She weaves the stragglers together, building a new home from the rubble.
Kai felt useless. He’s an idiot only good for kicking ass, and his is weaker than your average toddler. He can’t even lead his people. The Celestial Collapse already happened, the world’s gonna end, and he planned on drinking himself silly until it comes.
Both of them hide their deepest secrets from the world, and it kills them. Yuko finds herself terrified of everything, while Kai tries to drink himself to death. It’s hard to tell people they care about that they’re struggling, but it’s not so bad to tell the woman who kicks you out of the bar when you’re hammered.
