Chapter Text
It was a beautiful day in teletubby land, the sun was shining and not a single cloud could be seen in the sky. This was normal of course, it was almost always sunny and warm in teletubby land, it wasn't often that it rained or god forbid that it snowed.
TinkyWinky; the oldest of the teletubbies that lived in teletubby land, was inside the tubby dome. He tried to get that darn custard machine to start! Yet whatever he did nothing worked. He had no idea what he was doing of course, Po and Dipsy were better at this "maintenance" thing than he was.
The purple teletubbies let out a groan of frustration. "Why won't it work!?" He whined. He could hear another teletubby chuckling to his left. Tinky pouted and turned to the teletubby. "Are you just gonna sit there or will you actually help me?" Tinky pouted at the green teletubby who sat on the slide.
"Mh.... I dunno, let me think.... Nah, I think you got that handled." Dipsy giggled. Tinky glared at the other. "Rude! I'm not helping you look for your hat unless you help me!" Tinky announced before sticking his tongue out at Dipsy.
The green teletubby let out a gasp in mock offence. "Oh how childish of you!" Dipsy then crossed his arms over his chest and looked away, clearly trying not to laugh.
Tinky chuckled before strolling up to the other and putting a hand on his shoulder. Dipsy turned his head back to look at TinkyWinky, a grin plastered on his face.
"Are you hungry? I was gonna make some tubby-toast since the custard machine doesn't want to work!" The purple teletubby explained. Dipsy sat up more straight. "Mh, you'll have to ask Po to fix it later, and no thanks. I'm still full since last night! I'm never eating that much custard again!" He exclaimed earning another chuckle from Tinky.
"Speaking of, have you seen Po?" The purple teletubby asked. Dipsy shrugged. "No, not since this morning."
Tinky frowned, Po usually didn't leave without saying where she was going especially if she planned on being gone for a longer time. "Whelp, I'm gonna go outside." He announced. "Alright, see ya." The shorter teletubby acknowledged before laying back on the slide.
Tinky walked over and started the tubby-toast machine, pressing the big, red button on the side. Not long after, it spat out one of the delicious toasts into the air which TinkyWinky promptly caught before walking towards the door.
He bit into his toast, squinting as the sun hit his face. "Mph... I hate how bright the sun shines..." Tinky murmured between bites. He blinked a few times before noticing LaaLaa half-heartedly playing with her orange, yoga ball. She didn't look as happy and carefree as normal, instead looking more in thought and down. The purple teletubby frowned and approached his friend.
"Hey, Laa. How are you doing?" He asked softly. LaaLaa jumped a little when she realized he was standing in front of her. "Oh! Hi, Tinks! I'm good, I just had a bit of a nightmare is all!" The yellow teletubby explained with a small smile.
"Okay, if you say so." TinkyWinky didn't want to push further, he knew LaaLaa got annoyed when he pressed her about stuff. "But if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here." He tried to reassure her. "Yeah, thanks." LaaLaa smiled wider.
Tinky's mind went back to Po. "Hey, have you seen Po recently by any chance? Neither I nor Dipsy have seen her since this morning!" He explained, sounding a bit worried.
LaaLaa raised an eyebrow and looked past him. "Yeah, isn't she that red blob in the distance walking over here right now?" She asked and Tinky turned around. He squinted, trying to see better. "Oh yeah! It is her! Well, thanks LaaLaa!" He chuckled. "You're welcome I guess?" She shrugged playfully.
The tall teletubby remembered the toast he was holding, he quickly ate the last few bites before wiping his mouth with his arm and looking towards Po who was now much closer.
Tinky began to walk towards the approaching red teletubby. "Po! You're back!" The purple teletubby yelled happily. Once she was close enough he noticed the grin plastered onto her face. "Eh-oh, TinkyWinky!" She giggled. "Eh-oh to you too, Po!" The taller laughed.
Po skipped towards him and gave him a big hug. Tinky laughed and lifted his little sister into the air twirling her around. The short teletubby giggled. "Hey! Put me down, you big softie!" Po tried half-heartedly to wiggle out of her brother's grip.
TinkyWinky playfully rolled his eyes and put her down. "I'm hungry, I think I'm gonna go eat some custard!" Po announced. "Oh, about that... The custard machine is broken, so if you want custard you'll have to fix it first!" Tinky grinned smugly.
The shorter pouted. "Oh come on!" Her shoulders slumped. Tinky frowned slightly before ruffling her hair. "Hey!" Po laughed. "Don't worry, sis! You're great at repairing things! I bet you could make it work like new in mere minutes!" He smiled.
Po rolled her eyes dramatically. "Okay okay! I'll fix it!" She sighed softly. "Come-on!" The red teletubby began to walk towards the tubby dome. "Wait!" Tinky exclaimed. "You should talk to LaaLaa first, she's been down all day!" He explained.
Po looked concerned for her older sister. "Really? Well that's not good!" She walked to the yellow teletubby. LaaLaa looked up at her two siblings. "Oh, hi Po! Hi again, Tinky!" LaaLaa gave a small smile and a slight wave of her hand.
"Hey LaaLaa. How's it going?" Po asked softly. LaaLaa shrugged. "Oh, I'm okay. I just had a scary dream is all. I'll get over it, it wasn't real after all." The yellow teletubby explained. TinkyWinky found himself frowning again. LaaLaa really didn't want to talk about her dream.
Po nodded. "Do you want to come with us and eat some custard? It might make you feel better." She offered. LaaLaa let out an amusement snort. "Fine, I was starting to get hungry anyways."
Po let out a quiet, satisfied "yes" before she turned her gaze to the tubby dome again. She suddenly began to run towards it, surprising both TinkyWinky and LaaLaa. "Come on, you slowpokes!" She laughed. "Hey!" LaaLaa exclaimed before running after her little sister.
The purple teletubby shook his head with a proud smile. Po always knew how to lighten the mood. He then began to walk after the two younger teletubbies who had already entered the dome.
When Tinky walked inside he saw Po sitting in front of the custard machine, the toolbox sat to her right as she began to fix the broken machine. LaaLaa stood behind Po, watching her work in awe. Meanwhile Dipsy still laid on the slide in the same position he had when Tinky had left the green teletubby.
"Almost done~!" Po announced in a sing-song way. LaaLaa exclaimed a happy "yay!" And Tinky sat down at the table. The red teletubby then closed the front of the machine back up before standing up and wiping off some dust from her knees. "Done!" She smiled before quickly putting the toolbox back where it belongs.
Tinky smiled and looked proudly at his sister. "So, who wants custard!?" Po asked playfully. "Me!" LaaLaa announced, she seemed a lot happier now than before. "No thanks," Dipsy sat up. "I'm still full since yesterday." He explained.
"Oh, okay." Po turned her gaze to TinkyWinky. "What about you, Tinky?" She asked. He shook his head. "I'm not hungry enough for a custard, I'm just gonna eat another tubby-toast!" He explained. "Oh," Po began "whelp! It's your loss!" She shrugged before starting the custard machine.
TinkyWinky watched her make a custard before turning and handing it to LaaLaa. "Oh, thank you, Po! You're the best sister anyone could ask for!" LaaLaa said gratefully. "Oh please. I'm not half as good as you are!" She looked down and rubbed the back of her neck with a small smile, her face was flushed a light shade of pink out of embarrassment.
The red teletubby then turned back towards the custard machine and made herself a custard as well. The two girls then came and sat down at the table. Tinky stood up and walked over to the tubby-toast machine and pressed the button, then shortly after it spat out a perfectly toasted tubby-toast just like last time.
The purple teletubby caught it mid-air and took a bite out of it looking way too pleased with himself. LaaLaa rolled her eyes, a small, amused, smile plastered on her face whilst Po let out a small laugh.
They began to eat. Before LaaLaa's gazes fell onto Dipsy's form that was still sprawled out on the slide. "Did Dipsy fall asleep or something?" She asked the others. "No, I'm just trying not to throw up." Dipsy whined. "You shouldn't have eaten three bowls of custard last night!" TinkyWinky declared as he chewed the toast. "I knowwwww!!" The green teletubby groaned.
(Time for the obligatory ten hour time skip)
TinkyWinky was awoken in the middle of the night by Po. "Huh?" He yawned. "What is it, Po? Did you have another nightmare or something?" The purple teletubby asked as he rubbed the sleep away from his eyes. Po looked worried which just caused Tinky to become more concerned.
"LaaLaa got up and just randomly broke the machine! T-Then she walked outside without saying a word!" Po explained, it almost looked like she was about to cry. "What!?" Tinky sat up more straight. "She just walked out! I don't know why!" Po sniffled. He immediately went to comfort her.
"Hey now! It's not your fault! LaaLaa is probably just sleepwalking! Let's just go find her, okay?" TinkyWinky explained softly. Po nodded and looked towards Dipsy. "Dipsy! Get up!" She frowned. "Mph... Don't worry... I'll stay here in case she comes back..." He murmured already fast asleep again.
The purple teletubby facepalmed, of course that lazy teletubby would just fall right back asleep. He turned his gaze back to Po. "Hey, go grab the builder's torch. I'll be right up!" TinkyWinky announced. "Okay." Po nodded before turning around and walking towards the bench where the builder's torch lay.
TinkyWinky got out of bed and stretched his back before grabbing the small flashlight he always kept under his bed for emergencies. The red teletubby sped walked back to him. "Okay, let's go!" He told her before walking out of the tubby dome. Po quickly followed after him.
He stopped in front of the door and turned to Po. "Okay, you go search by the lake, I'll go search by the windmill. If you don't find LaaLaa then we'll meet up here again, okay?" He asked his little sister. The short teletubby nodded and began to follow the path to the lake. "LaaLaa!?" She shouted.
TinkyWinky turned the other way and walked into the darkness, the only thing illuminating his surroundings being the small glow of the flashlight and the occasional glow from the moon that managed to make its way through the clouds.
"LaaLaa!? Hello!? Are you there!?" He shouted but received no answer to his dismay. He continued to walk, he knew the way to the windmill even in the dark, he had walked it probably hundreds of times. "LaaLaa!!!???" He screamed louder. "Come out!!! This isn't funny!" TinkyWinky continued his shouting but still no answer.
The tall teletubby had soon made his way to the windmill and still nothing. "LAALAA!??" He yelled at the top of his lungs one final time, his shout could probably be heard throughout half of teletubby land, maybe even to the village. He sighed, defeated after he didn't get a response.
Tinky looked around with his flashlight but found nothing. He then turned on his heel and walked back towards the tubby dome. "LaaLaa better have a good excuse for leaving in the middle of the night and ignoring my yelling or else I'm gonna start locking the door..." He thought to himself.
He noticed something moving in the dark, right by the dome's entrance and quickened his pace. "Hey! LaaLaa!? Po!?" He shouted and began to run towards the dome. He flashed his flashlight around but couldn't find anything.
He groaned and turned back towards the dome's entrance. He closed his eyes, using two fingers to pinch the bridge of his nose and walking inside. "Okay, Dipsy. Get your ass up, there is something seriously strange happeni-" TinkyWinky's eyes widened with terror at the scene in front of him.
Dipsy's beheaded corpse laid on the slide. The purple teletubby froze, his breathing becoming heavier before he let out an ear piercing scream and began to back away, out of the dome. TinkyWinky dropped his flashlight before turning around and sprinting into the darkness, sobbing.
"What the fuck. What the fuck. What. The. Fuck." His mind was racing, he couldn't believe what he just saw. This must all be some stupid unfunny prank right? Or a dream, a simple nightmare that he would wake up for any moment now. "Yes. Yes! This is just a dream! Just a fucked up dream!" He tried to tell himself even though his voice was quivering.
"Just a dream! It's. Just. A. Dream. Tinky!" The purple teletubby slowed down to a stop and fell to his knees. He began to sob. "Come on! Wake up already!" He cried out to no-one in particular, he desperately wanted to believe it was all just a dream but it felt too real this was real life, he just didn't want to believe it.
He let out a pain filled scream and began to bawl his eyes out in the middle of the darkness, not knowing what was happening or where anything was. "Keep it together, Tinky. Keep it together!" He hissed at himself. "I.... I need to find Po and LaaLaa! Before it's too late!" The purple teletubby tried to tell himself.
He stood back up and stared into the darkness. He needed to find his sisters before whatever did this to his little brother did the same to them. He took deep breaths before running back into the darkness, trying to make his way back onto a path. "Po!? LaaLaa!? Where are you!?" He yelled out, hoping his sisters could hear him.

Notes:
Btw Guardian's name in this au is just White, and being a guardian in my au is a job so "Guardian" is his title.

Chapter Text
Guardian's gaze flickered between the different screens of his computer. He had no idea what was happening. The only thing he did know was that LaaLaa had just killed Dipsy and was now chasing after Po, surely intent on finishing her off too.
He had to act quickly or all the subjects he was supposed to monitor would be dead! All gone in one night! Geez he's definitely getting fired after this.
The Guardian stood up and ran out into the hall, hell-bent on saving at least one of them. He quickly ran out into the hall and grabbed one of the spare pipes and a wrench. He needed his night vision camera. Not only to see but also to prove he had at least tried to save the subjects if he didn't succeed.
He fixed the broken pipe as quickly as he possibly could. He knew he should've fixed the darn pipe the day it broke. Once the pipe was in the right place he fixed the air pressure, or rather, he switched the valves randomly until the pressure-meter thing was in the red.
The white teletubby then sprinted down the hall to the open door where the storage room's operator. "Why did they make this so complicated!?" He groaned and ran back towards the storage room.
Guardian cursed the tubbies who designed this place. It was cold, wet and inconvenient. He slid to a halt in front of the shelf where his camera laid. His ear twitched at the sound of something behind him, though he wasn't exactly too keen on listening to the things down here anymore. There was always some pipe dripping or some wind somehow making its way down there.
He picked up his camera and turned around, but when he was just about to take another step, the power suddenly went out. "Oh, what perfect timing!" Guardian muttered sarcastically to no-one in particular.
White's ears perked up as he heard the soft cries of a teletubby. Now he was seriously confused. How could another teletubby be down there, he didn't hear the lair's entrance being opened.
He turned on his camera, the battery was at 100%. thank goodness he remembered to plug it in after he used it last time. He turned on the night vision mode and looked through it. There, just a few feet away from him stood some strange armless teletubby.
Guardian watched as it seemed to look around in the darkness. Thankfully it didn't spot him if it was even able to see in the dark in the first place. "Okay how am I supposed to do this without being noticed?" White asked himself.
He then remembered the countless boxes scattered around the lair that he was too lazy to unpack or put away. Perhaps if he was careful he could hide behind the boxes and make his way out of the lair without being seen. Yes, he had to do that, and he had to make it quick! He had no idea if LaaLaa caught Po yet. Guardian hoped she hadn't.
The white teletubby crouched and began to make his way through the corridors with the help of his trusty camera. He made his way past the pressure system and down the hall where the exit was. To his dismay one of the armless teletubbies stood in front of it and didn't look like it was going to move any time soon.
The other armless teletubby was approaching from behind quite quickly. Guardian had to think fast. He looked down and saw a pebble on the ground. "It's worth a shot..." He thought to himself before throwing the pebble into the hallway next to the exit.
It hit the wall with a soft thud that echoed through the lair. The armless teletubbies each let out an ear piercing screech and ran towards where the pebble had landed. White knew this was his chance. He stood up and sprinted towards the ladder, quickly climbing up and opening the trap door to get out. The strange teletubbies ran towards the ladder and screamed at him.
The white teletubby climbed out and quickly closed the trapdoor to the lair. It was formed and painted as a rock to make it blend in with the environment. He looked through his night vision camera, trying to see if anyone was around. It didn't seem like it.
"Okay, time to go find Po." He told himself and began to make his way towards the last location he saw Po running at. Guardian ran towards the tubby dome. He took a moment to look at Dipsy's corpse in dismay before taking a left and going over the rocks.
White followed the path, jumping over the log that laid in the middle of the way for some reason. He momentarily wondered why NooNoo hadn't gotten rid of it yet. But he had no time to dwell on that as he continued on the path until he came to the fallen tree.
He frowned and tried to remember which way Po had ran. "I... Think it was to the left?" He asked himself. "Yeah, yeah it was." He began to run again, a little faster this time. He better get paid extra for all this running, this was NOT a part of the contract he signed when he got the job.
He came to the tree where he last saw Po on the cameras. "Okay, what am I supposed to do now? I have no idea where she went." White looked down to the ground and noticed a custard sitting there. "What the heck?" He muttered to no-one in particular.
Guardian walked around to the other side of the tree and looked up to see Po hanging there. "Oh I am SO getting fired!" The white teletubby sighed defeated. "I guess I'll have to find TinkyWinky then... I think he told Po he would go search by the windmill." Guardian told himself before turning around.
He began to make his way back to the dome. Once he was there he looked around through his camera, seeing nothing. He took a step into the darkness, feeling something weird under his foot. He looked down with his camera to find a flashlight. "Wasn't that Tinky's?" White thought to himself.
He picked up the flashlight before raising an eyebrow. He already started to assume the worst. "LaaLaa probably got to him too. Damn it! Why is she even doing this!? Out of all of them I never thought LaaLaa would be the first to snap." He groaned, then he began to think about it. "No, this just doesn't make sense, something or someone must've made her do this. This isn't like her."
"I need to get to the Satellite Station. The Coat Men will know what to do." Guardian thought to himself before beginning to walk towards the cave. Just then, he saw something moving through his camera. "Wait is that TinkyWinky?"
White quickly made his way to the terrified teletubby. "Hey! Stop!" He exclaimed and the purple teletubby froze. Guardian slowed down and came to a stop in front of the other. "W-WHO ARE YOU!?" TinkyWinky screamed out in fear, backing away from the other.
Guardian realized how suspicious this was. Especially if Tinky didn't know that LaaLaa was the one to kill Dipsy and Po, and he couldn't just tell Tinky who he was, that would mean he broke his contract and would most DEFINITELY get fired, or at least not paid for a year.
"Don't worry! I'm a friend!" He blurted out without thinking first. "A friend? Really, White? Why would you say something so stupid?" He thought to himself. Tinky did not look even the slightest bit convinced.
White sighed. "Look, I was sent here from the village to check if everything was okay because we heard you all screaming about something. Now I want to help get you to safety, away from whatever killed your brother." Guardian made up on the spot, trying to reassure TinkyWinky.
That seemed to make the frightened teletubby calm down a little. "okay, but what about LaaLaa and Po? We need to find them!" Tinky whimpered, looking into the darkness around them.
Guardian hadn't even thought of how to explain that not only was Tinky's brother dead but also his sister and LaaLaa was the killer. "Well... You see..." Guardian began "Think, White, Think!" He tried to make up some believable excuse.
"I'm not alone, my two colleagues are gonna get your sisters, but we can't wait for them, we need to get to the Satellite Station as fast as possible. You'll be safe there." White explained, he was beginning to become annoyed. TinkyWinky nodded slowly. "O-Okay. But where are we supposed to go?"
"To the Satellite Station! I just told you-! Oh wait. Sorry, you don't know where that is..." White rubbed the back of his neck, yelling and giving up their position to LaaLaa or anything else that might be lurking in the darkness might not be the best idea right now. "Well, we have to go through the cave. It'll lead us to the outskirts and there we will be safe." He continued.
The purple teletubby looked towards where the cave was located then back at White. He still seemed unsure. Suddenly the duo could hear something that sounded between a sob and a laugh, Guardian turned around and looked through his night vision camera, he was able to see LaaLaa in the distance. She was coming towards them, fast.
He must've gotten her attention when he yelled at Tinky. Why couldn't he just keep his mouth shut for once. "We need to go. Now!" Guardian exclaimed before grabbing Tinky's wrist and pulling him towards the cave.
"W-what? What's happening?" TinkyWinky began to panic, almost falling as he was pulled towards the cave. White slowed down to a stop in front of the cave entrance when Tinky pulled his hand away. White looked towards him.
"I'm not going with you! Not without LaaLaa and Po! I can't just leave them with a murderer running around!" Tinky explained. White sighed. "Look, TinkyWinky. This is for your own good." "And my job." Guardian thought to himself. "If you don't come with me what happened to Dipsy will happen to you too." He explained. He never knew the tall teletubby was this stubborn.
Tinky didn't want to leave but his gut told him something wasn't right and he needed to get away. Guardian looked through the camera again, LaaLaa was approaching quickly and she would surely be there in less than a minute.
The purple teletubby looked over his shoulder into the darkness where he had lived for as long as he could remember, he had so many fond memories of the place, but right now it just felt cold and filled him with dread.
He turned back to the other teletubby. "Fine, I'll come with you but only to that Satellite Station or whatever you called it." TinkyWinky agreed. Just then a loud scream could be heard not too far away, and what made the scream didn't sound particularly harmless either.
Tinky's breath hitched and he quickly followed Guardian into the cave. They tried to get as far into the cave as possible, with Guardian taking the lead. They only slowed down when they were sure LaaLaa hadn't followed them any further into the cave.
The purple teletubby let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding before turning his attention back onto Guardian, or at least he tried to. All Tinky could see was the soft, green, glow of the other's camera.
Guardian on the other hand, couldn't see TinkyWinky at all. "Here." White said and turned on the flashlight he had found before and handed it to Tinky. The purple teletubby took the flashlight. "My flashlight! Where did you find it?" Tinky gasped. Guardian shrugged. "By the tubby dome, I stepped on it, luckily it didn't break."
TinkyWinky looked around using the flashlight. "So... What now?" He asked softly. "Well, we need to make our way through the cave and out to the outskirts. I know which way to go." Guardian explained. In reality he had never been in the cave for real before but he had been taught where to go in the case of an emergency, he just hoped he actually remembered the way.
White turned around and looked through his camera, it was already down to 85% and he hadn't even used it for that long. Guardian wondered if it would be enough to last through the whole cave, he knew it was pretty big and would most likely take hours until they came to the exit.
"Come on, let's go. The quicker we get out of this cave the quicker we get to the Satellite Station." White announced and began to walk. Tinky followed close behind, not wanting to lose sight of the other as they wandered through the cave.

Chapter Text
They had been walking through the cave for a while now and had yet to come out. And why was this? "You always take a left and then only right turns through a maze!" Guardian had said because he believed one of his higher ups had said that once, though for all he actually knew it could've just come from a YouTube video.
TinkyWinky had never gone this long without a break before. He wasn't exactly a big fan of walks, that was more so Dipsy's thing. Tinky winced at the thought. He didn't want to think about his brother right now or any of his siblings, it just made him feel like breaking down and sobbing.
He glanced around the cave trying to distract himself. "Hey, um... Isn't that the same crystal we've seen, like ten times now? Also, isn't the saying 'only take right turns through a maze'?" The purple teletubby asked whilst pointing towards a glowing purple crystal.
White stopped and turned to look at Tinky, and then turned his attention to the crystal. "Hm... Maybe, but I doubt it. And I know my sayings! There is no need to try to lecture me them!" Guardian announced. "Oh and I'm pretty sure we've walked the same distance each time before this bigger cave opening comes." Tinky added onto his claim that they were going in circles.
The white teletubby frowned and took a step towards the other. "Let's test that theory then. You stay here and I'll do 'a lap' until I come to a big opening again. If I've just gone in a circle then we will try going another way. If we aren't going in circles we continue on. Okay?"
TinkyWinky nodded, eager to finally have a break. Guardian continued onwards. Once the other was out of sight Tinky sat down and began to waited for the other. He flashed the flashlight around the cave and noticed what looked like a note on the ground.
"Huh? How strange." He muttered before going to pick it up. TinkyWinky turned the note over to find a drawing of three teletubbies, an orange one, a brown one, and a cyan one. Over them were the words 'Friends 4 ever!' the hand writing was a bit hard for Tinky to read but he could still make out what it said.
"Well isn't this both adorable and creepy as hell." Tinky looked around. "How did it end up here in the cave?" He murmured to himself before putting it beside him on the ground.
Guardian suddenly appeared but not out of the way he went when he left, but instead the way they had come from. The two teletubbies stared at each other for a moment before the white one let out a defeated sigh.
"Okay, you were right. We were in fact going in circles!" Guardian sounded annoyed but he just slid down next to Tinky and put his head in his hands. The purple teletubby gave White a sympathetic pat on the shoulder.
"Hey now, it's okay. Now we can try a different way." TinkyWinky tried to comfort the other. "Yeah, I guess you're right..." White sighed before leaning back against the cold wall. "Um, I found this whilst you were gone." Tinky explained and handed Guardian the note.
The white teletubby grimaced at the drawing. "How in the sun's name did this get here?" White asked no-one in particular. The purple teletubby shrugged and then stood up. "I don't know, and if I'm honest, I don't want to know."
White followed suit, standing up. "You wanna try going back to the beginning again?" Tinky asked. Guardian nodded before walking back the way they came. They walked back to where they pretty much started before taking a left.
They walked down what almost felt like a corridor, it wasn't anything Guardian wasn't used to but Tinky seemed a little uneasy. They stopped at another fork in the road, or rather cave in this instance.
"So which way now?" Guardian asked. "I thought you knew the way?" Tinky replied softly. "Well clearly I don't!" The white teletubby hissed at Tinky. TinkyWinky lifted his hands in defense. White sighed and turned back around towards the two paths. "Sorry. I didn't mean to sound mad. I'm just annoyed because we're in this cave." He explained. "It's okay, I get it. I'm not exactly fond of being in a cave either." The purple teletubby replied.
"Let's go to the right." TinkyWinky suggested. The other teletubby gave a short nod and began to walk again. The purple teletubby began to slow down, looking around. "Hey, do you hear that?"
White furrowed his eyebrows and came to a stop. "Hear what?" He turned to look over his shoulder at the other. "Well it sounds like someone is out of breath. I don't know how to describe it." Tinky tried to explain whilst flashing his flashlight behind them. The duo stayed quiet for a few seconds.
"...Well, it's probably just your imagination." White turned his head back to the cave ahead. His higher-ups had never mentioned that anything was in the cave and he didn't hear this supposed breathing either, yet the thought of something actually being in the cave with them sent shivers down Guardian's spine.
They continued onwards until the cave split into 4 different ways. "Okay seriously. There is something breathing! How can you not hear it!?" Tinky whisper-shouted. Guardian sighed and just continued forward. "Are you sure it isn't my breathing you're hearing?"
Tinky stayed quiet for a moment before shaking his head. "No, you're breathing normally. I keep hearing heavy breathing." The purple teletubby desperately tried to explain what he was hearing.
"Wait a second...." White put a finger up as an indicator for TinkyWinky to be quiet. Guardian took a moment to really listen to their surroundings. He could actually hear something, and feel something. The ground was vibrating oddly. It wasn't like anything he had ever felt before.
TinkyWinky meanwhile looked terrified. "Something is coming towards!" He exclaimed, flashing the light behind them, watching for the source of the noise and vibrations. "We should run." White said before he began to speed up, Tinky followed behind shortly after.
Suddenly a loud roar could be heard behind them which caused the purple teletubby to speed up. White stopped in front of another split in the cave. He remembered something one of his higher-ups said about which way to take to get out "left, left, straight ahead, left, straight ahead, right, right..." White murmured and turned left. "Huh!?" TinkyWinky exclaimed.
Guardian ignored the purple teletubby's confusion. "But what did it end with, left or right...." He sighed, he would have to figure that out when they got there. "I know the way out!" White told the other. "Great! But can we speed up!? That monster is right on our heels!" Tinky's voice was shaking as he spoke, he sounded terrified.
TinkyWinky's comment made White speed up, he followed the path he was taught, taking another left, going straight forward, and then taking yet another left. Tinky was right behind him, following his every move. The loud breathing seemed to be farther away than before and he could hardly feel the vibrations in the rocks anymore, yet they continued to run.
They were finally at the last turn, they were almost out. Now was the time where Guardian had to decide which way they needed to go. "Okay where to now?" Tinky asked. "Uh.... Right!" White exclaimed. Just then the monster let out another roar, turns out it was closer than they thought.
They began to run again, unlucky for them there was a sudden drop. Guardian stopped in front of the cliff but Tinky was too late and ran straight into him causing them both to fall.
"Oof!" White exclaimed as he hit the ground. "Ouch..." Tinky whimpered and rubbed his arm. The two looked back up to the cliff where they had fallen off. They could hear the monster grunt and then walk away.
TinkyWinky quickly stood back up, offering a hand to the other. Guardian took Tinky's hand and let himself be pulled up. "Are you okay?'" Guardian asked. The purple teletubby nodded. "Yeah, you?"
White rubbed his back. "I'm okay, but my back does hurt a little." He began to look around for his camera which he had dropped during the fall. He began to feel around for it, finding it by his feet. It was a lot brighter here than in the rest of the cave, could that mean that they were close to the exit?
"Let's continue forward." Guardian began to walk towards where the light came from. TinkyWinky followed suit. The longer they walked the brighter the cave became. "Do you think we're getting closer to the exit?" TinkyWinky asked, almost sounding hopeful. "Well it's getting brighter, so probably... Hopefully." The white teletubby shrugged.
They took one last turn around a corner and there it was. The exit. Guardian let out a relieved sigh as he saw it. Tinky meanwhile actually let a small smile fall onto his lips.
"We're finally out!" The purple teletubby exclaimed as they stepped out into the early light of the sun. It had already turned to dawn whilst they were in that cave. White checked the battery on his camera, only 15% left. But that was okay, once they got to the Satellite Station he could charge it.
Guardian looked around and realized how they were now stuck in a valley. He walked along the sides, looking up towards the edge. He was trying to find a way up without having to walk for possible miles just to get out. Tinky was still following behind him.
White found a somewhat easy way to climb up, he turned back to TinkyWinky. "do you know how to climb?" He asked the other. "Well, I've climbed trees before in teletubby land, why are you asking?" The purple teletubby confessed.
"We're gonna climb up this thing." White explained, already preparing to jump up onto the first step. "Wait what!? Shouldn't we take a safer route THROUGH the valley instead of climbing up the side of it!?" TinkyWinky asked, sounding shocked at the others statement.
Guardian shrugged. "We need to get to the Satellite Station fast and do you want to walk for another couple of hours just to get around this thing to then walk a few more hours back to the Satellite Station? I didn't think so. Let's just go." White began to scale the wall. TinkyWinky watched him climb up and crawl over the edge.
The white teletubby looked over the edge, back down at Tinky. "Come on! Climb!" Guardian shouted down to him. Tinky sighed and carefully began to climb up, almost slipping and falling multiple times.
The purple teletubby was helped over the edge by White. "Thanks." Tinky gave the other a soft smile. "No problem, let's go." White had already begun to walk away. TinkyWinky let out a groan, would he never be allowed to rest or something? He then followed after the other.
"So where are we gonna go now?" He asked, looking around the outskirts. He had never in his life imagined that something could look so dead but beautiful at the same time. "The fastest way to the Satellite Station is through the ruins, then it'll be fairly easy to spot it." The white teletubby explained as he made his way over to the ruins in question.
TinkyWinky took a moment to take in the appearance of the other teletubby. He had what seemed like soft orange fur in the dawn light. The other was also a tad bit shorter than TinkyWinky and probably not much older either. He also wore a hat that looked familiar to Tinky but he just couldn't remember where he had seen it before.
"So.... What's your name?" Tinky asked softly from behind White. "Uh... It's..." Was he allowed to say his name? Or would he get fired? The contract never said anything about revealing his name only what he worked as. "Eh, screw it. I'm getting fired either way." Guardian thought to himself.
"My name is White." He sighed. "Look out for the rocks and stray bricks by the way." White added. The purple teletubby looked down at the sand for a moment, stepping over a rock and around the root of a tree.
"That's a pretty name." The purple teletubby looked back up at the other. "If by pretty you mean pretty stupid, then yeah. My parents were terrible at coming up with names." The white teletubby scoffed. "Hey don't say that! It's not that bad, and it suits you!" Tinky frowned at the self hatred of White's name. "And if you hate it so much then why don't you change it?"
White thought about it for a while. It would be nice to change his name but he couldn't think of a name that he hated less than White. "Thanks for the suggestion, but I think I'll stick with White for now."
Tinky's frown grew wider but he let go of the subjects with a defeated sigh. "We're almost there now, we'll be able to see the Satellite Station once we walk around those boulders." Guardian explained to the other, who nodded. "Okay, let's go then!" TinkyWinky made his way around the boulders to find nothing, except for something gray next to a tower with something shiny on top, but it looked to be at least half a mile away.
"What!? I thought you said it was close!" Tinky whined. "It is close. It's just a short walk away. It'll take us like 5 minutes at most." White sighed. Tinky looked down at the ground. "Once all this is over I'm gonna take a nap for a week." The purple teletubby thought to himself. "Okay, fine. But I swear, once we get there I'm taking a break!"
White rolled his eyes. Of course the other would get a break once they were there White had to explain everything to the Coat Men after all and that would surely take at least 30 minutes to explain in as much detail as they usually want him to describe stuff in.
The duo began to walk towards the satellite station. Tinky had to shield his eyes from whatever light it was that kept on blinking on that tower. A few minutes later they were finally there at the entrance.
"Okay, I'll go open the door, you can just stay here." Guardian told the other as he walked around the corner. He began to pull the levers, having some difficulty opening the door. "Ugh, why does everything have to be a puzzle!? Can't anything just be easy!?" The white teletubby thought to himself before finally completing the puzzle.
He walked back over to TinkyWinky, who was staring in awe at the inside of the Satellite Station. "Woah!" Tinky exclaimed. "Are you ready to go inside?" White asked, receiving a nod from the other. "Let's go then!" He said before stepping inside.

Chapter 4: Chapter 4 {Don't run.}
Chapter Text
The two teletubbies stepped into the Satellite Station. TinkyWinky looked around completely mesmerized by the place. Never in his life had he seen something so colorless before. It felt surprisingly nice after having been bombarded with only saturated colors for the majority of his life.
The inside of the tubby dome had been majorly gray colored but this felt completely different. There wasn't a color in sight, except for himself of course, his fur stood out like ink on paper compared to everything else.
Guardian gave the purple teletubby a confused look. He had no idea why the taller teletubby looked so utterly fascinated by the simple walls of the Satellite Station. It wasn't anything special after all, just a bunch of boring gray shades, yet the purple teletubby acted as if he'd just seen the most beautiful thing in the world.
"Um, are you okay, TinkyWinky?" The white teletubby tapped on the other's shoulder, making him turn around. "Oh! Yeah, I'm...." Tinky stopped in the middle of his sentence as he noticed that White was in fact not an orange teletubby but instead had white fur, just like his name. He stared at the other a moment too long for the white teletubbies comfort.
"Do you mind?" Guardian grimaced. The other's words snapped Tinky back to reality and he promptly looked down at the ground, he hadn't realized he was staring. "Sorry! I didn't mean to stare, I just realized your name was a bit more literal than I first thought, heh." TinkyWinky chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck.
White rolled his eyes and continued on, they didn't have time for this, he needed to talk to his higher-ups and save his job, not have his subject run around and look at the most mundane things like it was the Mona Lisa.
They walked through the corridor, TinkyWinky was still paying more attention to the walls than where he was going. Luckily for Tinky, the white teletubby was there to stop him from walking straight into danger.
White held out his arm in front of Tinky to stop him from stepping onto a laser. "Oof!" TinkyWinky exclaimed. "What was that for?" He asked softly. The white teletubby pointed towards the red laser.
"You see that? That laser is a part of the security system. If you touch it you're dead." Guardian explained nonchalantly. "What!? Why would they have that!?" The purple teletubby seemed shocked at the thought. "To ensure anyone who isn't supposed to be here doesn't get in." He shrugged, it wasn't anything special after all, just a simple way to keep thieves out.
"Well, how will we get around it? Are we just gonna step over it?" The purple teletubby watched the laser carefully as if it could somehow switch direction and hit him. "Precisely." Guardian said before stepping over the laser.
TinkyWinky hesitated for a moment before stepping over the laser too. He let out a relieved sigh when he realized he wasn't dead. The white teletubby looked around. Something felt wrong here. The last time, and all the other times he had been here, there had always been two guards around the entrance, yet this time there were zero signs of anyone around.
"Let's continue." Guardian simply muttered. There was no reason to tell Tinky about it, he didn't need to worry about two guards who were probably just on break or something.
They continued to walk, it seemed like TinkyWinky had zoned out again and was looking at the various things on the wall. White was seriously starting to think there was something wrong with the other but he kept his mouth shut and continued to walk.
The white teletubby suddenly spotted something laying on the ground in the distance. It looked blue and red. He wondered what it could be.
As they approached White began to realize more and more what it was. That thing, it was a corpse. White gasped at the gruesome sight which in turn made Tinky switch his attention away from the wall and onto the dead teletubby on the ground.
Guardian looked over at TinkyWinky, he himself was no stranger to blood or organs. He had been a biologist before he was offered the position as 'guardian' in Mainland. Though the purple teletubby was definitely not as used to the sight as him. From what White knew Tinky had never even seen blood before, well except for what has happened to Dipsy.
The purple teletubby was just staring at the body with dread. The dead teletubby laid in a puddle of its own blood, their entrails hanging out from a massive cut on their stomach. Its eyes were glazed over and their expansion was stuck in an expression of pure terror, blood was still dripping out of the wound on their stomach, slowly making the blood that had already pooled around the body bigger.
TinkyWinky felt light headed and tears began to spill from his eyes. He was shaking, he knew he was but he didn't know how to stop it. The purple teletubby desperately wanted to look away from the body but just couldn't. He could hear his heartbeat ringing through his ears, rapidly picking up speed. His vision began to disfigure and blur, whilst breathing became almost impossible.
Guardian looked over at the other with a raised eyebrow, unaware of what was happening. "Are you okay, bud?" He asked the other but he didn't receive a response.
Tinky felt like his legs were about to buckle beneath him. He needed to get out, to get away from the body, he couldn't be close to it anymore. He began to gasp for air but he was unable to actually get it to his lungs. He wanted to scream, to run the other way but he just couldn't. He was frozen in place, like a deer caught in headlights.
The white teletubby suddenly realized what was happening. "Shit!" He exclaimed and tried to pull the other away from the body. Once it was out of sight he quickly beckoned TinkyWinky to sit down.
Tinky continued to gasp for air, his mind raised with thoughts and images of both his brother's dead body and the corpse he just saw. He felt guilty, like everything was his fault. Perhaps it was his fault, if he had been more persistent about Dipsy getting up and coming with them then maybe he wouldn't have been murder, maybe they would've found LaaLaa and everything would've been okay. The purple teletubby let out a broken sob.
"Hey now! Look at me!" White begged the other, crouching down in front of him and taking his hands into his. He tried to make TinkyWinky look at him. "Deep breaths, deep breaths okay!" Guardian knew he needed to stay calm but it was hard when the other was freaking out.
"Let's try to breathe, okay. Breathe in..." Guardian took a deep breath, hoping Tinky would mimic him. The purple teletubby followed, breathing in a shaky breath. White silently counted to ten before speaking again. "Breathe out..." Tinky followed the instructions. They continued like that for a dozen more times before TinkyWinky finally began to calm down a little and his breathing going somewhat back to normal.
"There we go... Just keep breathing." White sighed. The white teletubby then let go of Tinky's hands before sitting down next to him. They stayed like that for a while. Just sitting silently on the floor, leaning against the wall. The purple teletubby still felt terrible and like he was about to vomit but he tried to keep it down.
Guardian began to whistle a soft tune. Tinky turned his head to look at the other. "What are you whistling?" He asked in a soft, broken voice. "Oh... I actually don't know the name of it. I've just heard a part of this random song and now it's stuck in my head." The white teletubby explained. They turned away from each other again, looking straight forward.
"... I'm sorry for acting like that by the way. I don't know what happened." Tinky sighed, rubbing the back of his neck, this caused White to frown. "It's okay, stuff happens sometimes, even things we can't control. But that's just life and all we can do about it is try to move on." He explained softly. "I know." TinkyWinky looked away.
White returned to staring at the wall in front of them. "Do you think you can continue on or do you want me to leave you here?" He then suggested, it made the other tense up. "Please don't leave me, I don't want to be alone." TinkyWinky whimpered and pulled his knees up against his chest.
White turned to the other again. "I won't leave unless you want me to." He tried to comfort the other. Tinky gave a small smile. The other felt pity for the purple teletubby. He was still shaking a little, but definitely not as violently as before. White wouldn't exactly say he's good at this whole comforting thing, he hadn't really needed to do it before.
The white teletubby stood up, turning to the other. He extended a hand. "Let's go then." He announced. Tinky gave a short nod and grabbed Guardian's hand, letting himself be pulled up.
The duo continued forward in silence. White noticed something else in the distance that looked similar to the dead body from before, he turned around to face TinkyWinky who was looking at the floor. "Tinky. I need you to close your eyes, I'll lead you to where we need to go." He told the other. The purple teletubby looked confused but gave a soft nod before closing his eyes. He let himself be pulled along by White.
"So.... Why can't I open my eyes?" TinkyWinky asked curiously as they walked. "Oh it's just for safety purposes. You know, no-one who doesn't work here or with the people here is allowed to see the right way because of privacy stuff." White lied, trying to sound convincing. He didn't want Tinky to freak out again at the sight of another corpse.
He helped him towards the Secret Center where he and the Coat Men usually met up and talked about things. On their way there they passed more and more mangled bodies of dead teletubbies.
When they found the first body White had just assumed that it had been a freak accident. Those happened a lot here. That was why only professionals were allowed inside and why newbies needed to stay with their mentors at all times. But after having seen so many dead bodies, and all of them sharing the theme of having massive cuts or slash wounds through their chests or necks was a pretty big indicator that this wasn't just some gruesome accident, this was something else.
He hoped there was still someone around for them to talk to and explain their situation, but the more they walked the more dread filled White's mind that they wouldn't find a single living soul.
A cough snapped Guardian out of his thoughts. The sound came from around the corner. White peaked around the corner to see a blue teletubby sitting on a crate. The teletubby looked badly injured but they were at least alive. "Hey!" He announced his presence to the other, walking towards them whilst dragging a confused Tinky alongside himself. The new teletubby looked over towards them, horrified. Once they saw them however they let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh thank goodness! I thought I was the only one left alive!" The injured teletubby exclaimed with a sob. "What? What happened here?" White asked now standing in front of the blue teletubby. "A monster came into the facility and started killing everyone! I was attacked but I managed to escape it, though I don't know about everyone else." The injured teletubby explained. White felt pity for them.
Guardian then looked back at TinkyWinky who still had his eyes closed. "Tinky, you can open your eyes." He muttered to the purple teletubby. Tinky promptly opened his eyes and blinked a few times, trying to adjust to the light. White turned his attention back to the blue teletubby.
"What's your name?" He asked. "My name is Ron, I was an engineer here at the Station before that monster came, it was terrifying! The monster was wielding a chainsaw and the worst part was that it didn't have a head!" Ron began to describe. Guardian nodded thoughtfully whilst Tinky stared into nothingness.
"Well, what are we supposed to do now?" White asked no-one in particular. His higher-ups had most likely been killed alongside everyone else so he couldn't 'go and save his job' as he had originally planned.
"I suggest you go to the Secret Center and call the military. They should be able to get us out of this mess." Ron looked up at White who nodded. "But don't we need a keycard or an ID to get into the Secret Center." White raised an eyebrow. "You don't work here?" Ron frowned. "Well I would give you mine but I dropped it when that monster attacked me." He continued.
"Well we don't exactly work here... But how do we get a keycard then?" Guardian muttered with a frown of his own. "Hm..." Ron tapped his chin in thought. Guardian turned his gaze back to TinkyWinky who was still staring into nothingness with a blank expression. He felt a bit concerned about the other.
"Some of the other engineers tried to trap the monster in there, they should still have their IDs." Ron explained. "You can go through the vents and get to the other side, once you have an ID you should be able to go through most doors depending on their rank." He continued.
"Okay." Guardian gave a nod of acknowledgement before turning towards TinkyWinky and giving him a small push. The purple teletubby flinched at the sudden contact and turned to face the other. "Hey. We're gonna go through the vents." White explained
"Oh, okay... Wait, did you say through the vents?" Tinky's eyes widened. He had never gone through a vent before. Weren't they really small and practically impossible to go through? Well either way White seemed determined.
Guardian frowned. "Yeah? Weren't you listening to what Ron and I were talking about?" He asked. TinkyWinky shook his head. "No, I was kind of in my own world..." The purple teletubby explained. "Sorry..."
The white teletubby sighed. "Well we're going through the vents to get an ID. Come on." He explained shortly before walking towards the surprisingly big vent.
Tinky looked back at Ron who stared right back at him. "Come back soon." The engineer gave a small smile. "Yeah." Tinky gave a sharp nod and walked over to White who was already halfway through the vent.
"Hey! Wait for me!" Tinky yelped and followed the white teletubby into the vent, it was surprisingly spacious for a vent but that didn't make TinkyWinky feel much better about it.
As the duo crawled through the vents the purple teletubby seemed to grow more and more uncomfortable, and in turn letting out a small whine. "What are you doing?" The white teletubby asked. "I just hate enclosed areas, they make me panic." Tinky frowned. White sighed, feeling tired. "It's just for a bit more, we're almost out again." Guardian explained. "Yeah..." He answered.
They continued through the surprisingly clean vents. It looked like they were cleaned pretty regularly. Guardian came out first, standing up and dusting off himself. Tinky made his way soon after, White extended a hand out to help the purple teletubby up which Tinky promptly took.
"Thank you." He sighed. Guardian looked around for a way forward. The white teletubby approached a room and looked inside. "Hm... There's nothing in here." White looked back towards the purple teletubby. TinkyWinky began to walk towards him.
"Where should we go now?" Tinky asked softly . "Probably over there, I think it's our best bet..." White pointed towards a corridor close to the door and began to walk towards it. The purple teletubby followed right behind him, his gaze on Guardian's hat. He could've swore he had seen it somewhere before.
They walked down the corridor and came to another. "Wow, why do they even have these? I mean they don't even have any doors connected to them! It's literally just a corridor..." White expressed his dismay at the weird layout. "Do we teletubbies just love complex and useless designs or something?" White thought to himself. Tinky frowned. "Well, there must be some reason for it!" He tried to excuse the terrible layout.
The duo continued forward but stopped abruptly when they saw something in front of them. Tinky's eyes widened as he saw the red teletubby he had known since he was a kid standing in front of them. "Po!" He shouted running towards the red teletubby, ready to hug her.
But when Tinky came close Po suddenly faded away leaving Tinky confused. The purple teletubby stood there for a while, staring at where the red teletubby had stood moments before. He let out a soft broken sob. "Oh, of course Po isn't here, I'm just going insane!" He let out a humorless laugh, tears threatening to fall down his cheeks.
He missed his siblings so much, he wished that they were there, happy and alive like before all this happened. He just wanted everything to go back to normal.
White still stood where Tinky had left him, still looking like a deer caught in headlights. Guardian shut his eyes and gave a shake of his head before opening them back up with a frown.
He walked towards the other, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, don't say that... They're... They're coming." White tried to comfort him, they both knew he was lying. The others wouldn't come, they wouldn't be okay, but Tinky still wanted to cling onto that false sense of hoped.
"... Let's just continue, we need to find an ID so we can get into the Secret Center." White looked forward to where they needed to go. "Mh." TinkyWinky acknowledged and took a step forward.
They continued through the corridors and were met with another hallucination. Tinky's gaze locked onto the yellow teletubby. She wasn't real, he wished she was but she wasn't. Tinky sighed and continued to walk.
When they came close enough, the hallucination of LaaLaa disappeared just like the hallucination of Po had before. Tinky's chest hurt, he knew LaaLaa would disappear as well but it still made him feel shitty. He wished his sisters were there for real.
Guardian spotted something up ahead, speeding up to get there faster. He looked down at the thing that laid on the ground. It was an ID card! White quickly picked it up. "Tobby huh? Well it looks like he just saved our lives!" He thought to himself.
"I found the ID card!" He called out to the other. "Really? Well that's great!" TinkyWinky exclaimed. He turned around and made his way back to the purple teletubby. "Let's go back to Ron." He gave a small smile, waiting for the other to follow.
They made their way back where they came from. Tinky could swear he heard something that sounded like a chainsaw back where they found that ID, though perhaps that had been another hallucination.
"Well now that we have this ID we're able to open the doors instead of going through the vents." White explained before opening the door, this startled Ron making him jump and turn to the duo. "Oh! I see that you've found an ID! Heh." Ron smiled. "Yeah." Guardian replied proudly, walking through the door.
"Well now we need to go to the Secret Center so we can contact the military." White explained. "Do you think you can walk there? It would be easier if we had someone who knew where everything was." He asked the blue teletubby.
Ron looked unsure. "Um... I don't know if that's such a good idea. I think my leg is broken and I can barely move without feeling like I'm being stabbed a thousand times in every limb." He explained whilst glancing the way towards where the Secret Center was located.
"Okay... Well how about you stay here and we'll come and get you once we've contacted the military?" White suggested. The blue teletubby nodded. "Yeah, I think that might be for the best." He agreed.
TinkyWinky didn't know if this was such a good idea. Last time he had left someone behind they had died. His thoughts went back to his dead brother and tears began to well up in his eyes. He really didn't want to think about it but he couldn't make it stop.
"Are you sure you can't come with us?" Tinky asked with a frown. Ron let out a small sigh and shook his head. " It'll be best for all of us if I stay here for the moment." He explained. "I'll just slow you down."
"Well then. See you soon, Ron." Guardian gave a small wave and Ron responded with a nod. The white and the purple teletubbies began to walk again, making their way through another corridor and down a staircase.
Suddenly they heard a loud scream coming from where they just were, it was Ron. The sudden loud sound caused them both to flinch. "Wait here!" White turned back and ran up the stairs again, leaving TinkyWinky alone and scared.
White ran back the way they had gone, the soft purr of what sounded like a chainsaw grew louder. He stopped a few feet away from where he and Tinky had talked to Ron moments prior. He was met with Ron's lifeless body, every limb was cut off and blood pooled everywhere around the body, the flesh and some bones were visible. He felt like he was going to throw up.
But the mangled body wasn't the worst part. No. The being standing over it was the thing that scared him the most. It was a green teletubby, holding a bloody chainsaw but the teletubby's head was nowhere to be found. The white teletubby had thought Ron had lied or mis-seen things not that he had actually been telling the truth about there being a headless murderer running around with a chainsaw.
The headless teletubby turned around to face him. White could see it grip the chainsaw harder. "Oh shit!" He exclaimed before turning around and sprinting down the hall. He could hear the headless teletubby running after him. How did that thing even know where he was? It didn't have a head! It couldn't hear or see him right? Yet it was still gaining on him. How was he supposed to do this?
Perhaps he could lose the headless teletubby in the maze-like corridors. He remembered how he himself had gotten lost the first few times he had been here. He decided to test it since he didn't have a better plan.
He took a sharp left down a new corridor then quickly turned right at the next one. He looked over his shoulder and saw that the headless teletubby was still there but a bit farther away this time. White continued like that, taking sharp turns through the facility until he could no longer hear the chainsaw.
He began to slow to a stop, breathing heavily. Guardian looked behind himself and there was no sign of the headless teletubby. He let out a tired sigh. How was he supposed to make his way back to TinkyWinky without getting caught? Or without Tinky getting caught.
The white teletubby had to think of a plan now that he knew that thing was running around here with them. They'd be safe in the Secret Center, it required stuff to be opened that he was sure the headless teletubby didn't have, the problem was how they'd get out afterwards.
"We'll just have to be careful and sneak around it, I guess." He murmured to no-one in particular. He didn't have time to think about this, he needed to get back. The plan would have to wait until they were safe.
Notes:
Tbh I love Ron. Top 5 favorite character of all time. And yet he only has like five minutes of screen time, just like in this chapter! :D
Chapter Text
TinkyWinky waited patiently for White to come back, he felt alone and scared, he had no idea what was happening. He had heard two people running before, perhaps it had been White and Ron? But what would they have been running from? And Ron had said he could barely move. It just didn't make sense.
What was he supposed to do? Perhaps it would be best if he went to look for them. Or should he just stay where he was like he had been told? He hesitated, looking at the door to the Secret Center and then back towards the staircase. He didn't want to be scolded for doing something he wasn't supposed to.
At last he decided to go looking for the others. He walked up the stairs and began to look around. "Um.. H-Hello!? White? Ron? Where are you guys!?" He called out but didn't receive a response.
TinkyWinky felt a pit of dread set in his stomach. Something felt wrong. Did they abandon him? Did they leave him here to die alone? No, they couldn't have done that, he and White had become friends, right?
He felt hopeless. He had no idea where to go or how to get out. The purple teletubby had never been there after all. "Okay Tinky, calm down, they'll be back." He told himself, trying to calm down. "They didn't just abandon you like everyone else, not like...." Tinky stopped, he didn't want to remember those memories.
He began to take deep breaths. "Where could they have gone?" He thought to himself. Where did they even come in? He didn't remember, everything around here looked practically the same. He looked around before taking a right, following the railing over where the staircase to the Secret Center descended.
The purple teletubby walked through the hallway into a place he definitely didn't remember, it led to even more hallways and corridors that lead to small rooms, whilst some just randomly ended, this place really felt like a labyrinth.
Suddenly he heard the sound of someone running. It wasn't exactly hard to hear when the metal floors made so much sound for some reason. Tinky turned around to see who was running towards him, hoping it was White.
It was in fact not White. His gaze landed on a decapitated green teletubby, wielding a chainsaw and running straight towards him. It revved the chainsaw and all TinkyWinky did was freeze, no running, no screaming, no getting ready to fight back. He just stood frozen like a deer caught in headlights.
The headless teletubby got closer with every moment. The purple teletubby felt his blood run cold, he was screaming at himself internally to run, to turn around and sprint away. Only once he had stood frozen for what felt like an eternity had he began to move. He ran the other way with the monster catching up quicker than TinkyWinky liked.
He ran for what felt like an eternity, trying to speed up as much as he could, but every time he did the monster did too. But to his surprise every time he slowed down the monster did too. "What the!? I-Is it playing with me or something!?" Tinky screamed internally.
He continued to run until he came to a dead end, he felt dread fill his body before he slowly turned to look at the decapitated teletubby. It took slow steps towards him. So this was how he'd die huh? To the hands of a living corpse, probably by taking a chainsaw to the face.
TinkyWinky pressed himself further against the wall whilst the other inched forward at a painfully slow pace. At least he would meet his family again, if there was an afterlife that is. He hoped there was.
The purple teletubby took in his soon-to-be killer's appearance. It looked very similar to how Dipsy had looked, the only difference being that this teletubby had slightly lighter fur, and was completely covered in blood, and the whole headless thing, though the last time Tinky had seen his brother he had also had his head disconnected from his body. No. He shouldn't compare his brother to this monster, his brother would never do something like this, he would've never killed anyone.
TinkyWinky looked down at the ground, trying to come to terms that this was the end. The green teletubby raised its chainsaw, ready to strike. He closed his eyes, anticipating the contact of the spinning blade. Though, that contact never seemed to come.
The purple teletubby pried an eye open to stare at the other. It had slightly lowered its chainsaw and Tinky didn't know why, but the headless teletubby seemed surprisingly divided, as if it were deciding on whether or not to kill him. He furrowed his eyebrows, why would the monster hesitate to kill him but not the others?
He didn't know the answer and he probably never would. To his surprise, the chainsaw wielding monster lowered its weapon fully before turning around and simply walking off. "What. The. Actually. Hell." TinkyWinky muttered to himself as he watched the monster leave.
He stood there for a moment and just processed what had just happened. That was the weirdest and scariest interaction of his life, yet in the moment it hadn't felt particularly scary, it had just felt dreadful.
TinkyWinky snapped out of his thoughts. Perhaps the others hadn't left him, perhaps they just ran away from that monster and we're on their way back? "Oh no! I have to get back!" He whisper shouted at himself.
He ran back the way he came until he was back at the staircase down to the Secret Center, there, on the other side of the hallway stood White, just about to go through a door into another room. "White!" He announced his presence, running up to the other.
"There you are! I told you to stay by the door!" The white teletubby breathed a sigh of relief. "When I came back you were gone, I thought the monster had gotten to you!" White practically yelled at the other. "Sorry, I went looking for you since you were gone for a while." TinkyWinky looked embarrassed.
Guardian sighed. "Yeah yeah, sorry about that. Let's just go into the Secret Center." He murmured before walking back down the stairs, Tinky following right behind him. White pulled out the id and held it up against the scanner. It flashed green and a small sound was played as the door unlocked. It opened and the duo walked inside.
On the other side was a small hallway with a door on its left side as well as one on its right a bit further ahead. White tried both doors, unluckily for them both doors were locked so all they could do was continue down the hallway.
They came to a larger room with two ramps on either side to get down from the hallway. "What strange design choices..." TinkyWinky muttered to himself. They made their way down and the first thing they saw was that familiar blue robot standing there.
Tinky's eyes widened in shock as he let out a gasp of surprise. "N-NooNoo!?" He called out. The blue vacuum cleaner turned to face the two teletubbies. "Oh, you two are still alive? I thought Dipsy would've killed you by now." NooNoo said calmly. "W-what!?" The purple teletubby exclaimed.
White stepped in front of TinkyWinky. "What the hell is that supposed to mean!? Why are you even here?" The shorter of the teletubbies yelled. "Isn't it obvious? I'm making them better." It explained.
"Making who better!?" Guardian demanded answers. "Teletubbies, they're just pathetic, lazy, bags of fat. They do nothing of worth and all they do is eat and sleep. I'm simply making them better, faster, stronger." NooNoo said nonchalantly.
Tinky looked genuinely scared now. White guessed that having the only father figure you'd ever know betray you like this must've felt really bad for the younger teletubby. "And how are you going to do that exactly?" White raised an eyebrow. "Oh by using the custard of course!" The vacuum announced.
"You see, I mixed the custard with this virus I created, which turns anyone who digests it into the perfect being. Their prefect selves." NooNoo explained, its voice sounded surprisingly soft, remorseless, as if it genuinely thought this was the right thing to do.
White stared at the blue being. "How does that even work!?" He growled. "Well White, you see, for the virus to work the host sadly enough needs to die before they become their true, powerful self. The hosts, my infecteds as I call them, become stronger and bigger, oh and they don't feel something so dumb as feelings of course. Those things only make you weaker."
The duo stood there, staring at the other across the room like it was a mad man. "So that's why LaaLaa killed everyone..." White muttered to himself. "W-Wait what!?" Tinky's voice sounded broken as he let out a small yell, tears starting to well in his eyes.
"But what you're saying is impossible! Nothing is able to do that!" The white teletubby took a step towards the robot. "Complicated? Well yes, but impossible? Oh, White. Nothing. Is. Impossible!" The vacuum laughed before looking up to the watch on the wall. "Oh would you look at the time! Sorry, tubbies. But I have to leave. I've got some important matters which need attendance!"
NooNoo made its way to the exit before stopping in the door. "But don't worry! I have something that will surely cut your adventure short! Ahaha!"
The white and the purple teletubbies turned to each other. "So... What now?" TinkyWinky sniffled. "Well, let's just go call the military." White shrugged, not too fazed by NooNoo's betrayal he had kinda seen it coming, the robot was surprisingly unstable for an artificial intelligence.
He walked forward towards the place where the communication center laid but was stopped in his path when suddenly one of the announcers began to make some weird sounds. He stepped back as the announcer jumped out of the ground, revealing its true size.
"System online. Initiating combat mode." The robot spoke before looking down at White. "Target acquired." White jumped away as it charged at him. "Oh shit!" He breathed, standing back up.
Guardian noticed the cables connecting the announcer robot to the rest of the building. If they could turn off the power then that thing would be down but that would also cause any chance of contacting the military to plummet! But... Maybe if they just called them before turning off the electricity... White got a plan, it wasn't optimal, far from it actually. It was dangerous, but he was willing to try it.
The purple teletubby however, froze in fear, staring at the giant robot. Guardian ran back to him. "You go contact the military, I'll hold it off until you're done then we'll turn off the electricity!" He told the purple teletubby who snapped back to reality.
TinkyWinky ran past the giant robot and through the door on the other side of the room. White got ready, he didn't have any weapons to protect himself if the robot were to slash at him. He just had to give Tinky time.
The purple teletubby found some strange machines with big screens on the other side, what was he supposed to do now? "Um..." TinkyWinky approached one of the machines and began to tap on the buttons randomly, until the screen showed a Windows 9 looking desktop? Wait what had he done? This was definitely not a computer and definitely not that old, it looked brand new.
The purple teletubby decided to go to one of the other machines instead. He tapped around a little before noticing a book laying on the machine. He picked it up, it was a manual! This would solve his problems. He opened it and began to read through the table of contents until he came across a chapter called 'in case of emergency.'
He began to skim through the pages. It listed a bunch of different scenarios and what to do. He found one that looked almost the same as their situation, except it didn't say anything about a headless murderer or a massive killer robot.
"If an unknown tubby enters the building and is deemed too dangerous for security to deal with, dial 999. Okay but how am I supposed to do that if I don't know how to dial them!?" Tinky practically screamed at the book, growing more and more frustrated.
He went back to the table of contents again and read through everything to make sure he wasn't missing anything. He decided to check out the chapter called: 'the basics.' He skimmed through everything again and actually found something useful this time!
"Okay, so I just have to do this..." He pressed a button. "This," Tinky pressed the right arrow key until he came across a symbol of a telephone. "And this," he pressed enter and a bunch of contacts suddenly came onto the screen.
"Okay, so I move with the arrow keys... And I use enter to select stuff..." Tinky told himself before pressing the down key various times until he came to the letter M in the contacts. The first thing there, read: 'Military' and right underneath that contact was one named 'Military Engineer. (Lenny)'
Tinky clicked enter on the first contact and it began to ring, making a strange noise before the screen showed red. "Call denied." A robotic voice called out.
White had found a pattern to avoiding the robot. First dodge to the right, step back, roll to the left, repeat. He was almost shocked that the robot hadn't sent the pattern yet. He was just waiting for Tinky to be done, he should come any minute now.
In fact, the purple teletubby peaked his head out of the room at just that moment. Finally White would get some rest. "They aren't answering!" TinkyWinky vice wavered. The words caused the other to frown. "Call them again! Don't stop until they pick up!" He shouted back, messing up his pattern but quickly recovering.
"Okay!" Tinky stuck his head back inside and closed the door. White realized he had to switch patterns as he was almost slammed into the wall. He quickly got back onto his feet and practically threw himself to the other side of the robot to evade getting cut in two.
The purple teletubby went back to the machine. He tried to call again but was denied for a second time. "Oh come on! Just answer!" Tinky whined before calling again.
"Call denied" said the robotic voice for a third time. Tinky hesitated for a moment as he looked at the contacts. "Well they do work for the military. Maybe if I..." TinkyWinky scrolled down to Lenny's contact before hitting enter again.
"Hey, Lenny Smith here. What can I do for ya?" They actually picked up! Tinky let out a sigh of relief. "Hey, I'm at the satellite station a-and something really bad has happened!" Tinky tried to explain his situation. "Geez, what happened? Another gas leak?" Lenny asked.
"N-no. It's hard to explain but there's this headless teletubby that came and killed everyone, i-it's still here in the building and NooNoo was here, he said some weird stuff about some virus, and we need help!" TinkyWinky began to ramble.
The line became silent for a second before Lenny began to speak again. "Uh, that sounds... Interesting?" Lenny said, not seeming to believe him. "Please! You gotta believe me! Ron told me to call you!" The purple teletubby explained. "Ron? I'm sending over a group over, okay? Just stay put." Lenny said before hanging up.
TinkyWinky stayed silent for a second before walking towards the door. He hoped Lenny actually would send over a group to save them. He poked his head out of the room and watched as White was slammed down against the floor. "WHITE!" He shouted making the massive robot turn it's focus towards him instead.
Tinky froze as his impending doom was coming running towards him. "Wha- huh?" White shook his head and sat up. He looked towards where TinkyWinky was. The white teletubby quickly stood up and tried to get the robots attention onto him instead.
Suddenly the power turned off causing the robot to shut down abruptly. White ran up to Tinky and touched his shoulders. "Tinky! Gosh, I thought you were gonna die!" Guardian sighed with relief. "Yeah. I'm glad you turned off the power." Tinky chuckled. The shorter teletubby frowned. "I didn't turn off the power."
The duo turned back towards the staircase they had walked down when they first came. There beside the electrical panel stood a familiar teletubby. It was the headless teletubby from earlier, it had saved them? The green teletubby then turned around and walked towards an open vent before crawling inside.
"What?" White furrowed his eyebrows, staring towards where the teletubby had disappeared. "At least he saved us." TinkyWinky sighed softly. "Yeah." The other muttered. "But, did you manage to contact the military?" Guardian asked. The purple teletubby nodded. "Yeah, they said to stay put, they're coming."
White let a small smile fall onto his lips. "Let's get out of here, it'll be quicker if we're outside waiting for them." The white teletubby explained and walked towards the staircase.
They made their way out of the Secret Center without too much of a problem and they were almost out of the Satellite Station too. There was just the hallway left. "Hey... I... Remember how NooNoo said he thought Dipsy had already taken care of us?" The purple teletubby asked softly, his voice slightly shaky. "Yeah?" Guardian looked towards the taller teletubby.
TinkyWinky took a small breath. "Well, I-I have a theory... Do you think that.... The headless teletubby was... Dipsy?" He asked, he didn't like the thought of his innocent brother, the guy who would never even hurt a fly killing so many innocent people, but it just made the most sense in his eyes.
"I'd have a hard time thinking that thing wasn't Dipsy." Guardian confessed. "Yeah. But... Dipsy didn't eat the custard. He ate it the day before but... Like I don't understand, how is he... Like that if he didn't eat the infected custard?" The purple teletubby continued.
"Maybe he ate one whilst you were searching for LaaLaa." White suggested but the other just shook his head. "He couldn't. LaaLaa broke the machine beyond the easy repairs that Dipsy and Po usually do. He couldn't have fixed it in 15 minutes, let alone made a custard too and ate it. Dipsy usually likes to enjoy his meals for like 5 minutes instead of eating it like a normal tubby." TinkyWinky began to ramble all the reasons why that couldn't have been the case.
White frowned and slowed down a little. "And he wasn't covered in the custard when you found him?" Guardian looked at the purple teletubby. Tinky didn't want to think back to that terrible sight but when he thought back to it he couldn't remember anything other than blood covering the body. "No."
"Huh, well, then maybe it wasn't Dipsy after all?" White suggested. Tinky didn't respond but it was clear he heard the other. "Let's just get out of here." The white teletubby took the lead, stepping over the laser and walking towards the door with Tinky following right behind.
As the duo opened the door they both had to shield their eyes from the blazing sun and a hot breeze blowing into their faces. It was morning already? White opened his eyes and he saw the desert in its full glory, though one thing stood out... Was that?...
"NooNoo!" White exclaimed.
Notes:
Oh silly NooNoo! Always trying to kill people! He should learn some manners! :)
Chapter Text
White's gaze was filled with hatred as he stared at the blue robot. TinkyWinky was also staring at it, keeping himself a bit behind White. NooNoo turned around to look at them "Oh, it's you two again."
NooNoo began to approach them. The two teletubbies didn't move but they still kept a weary gaze on the vacuum. "I see that you managed to defeat my robot! I don't know what to say! Or well, I do. I would like to make a proposal." NooNoo explain.
"A proposal? What are you talking about?" Asked the white teletubby. "Well, you see, I'd like for the two of you to join me. It seems like you two were the exceptions to the whole 'teletubbies being weak' thing I had going on. I'm even shocked Tinky made it through mainland! Let alone defeat a giant robot!" It chuckled. "I'm proud."
TinkyWinky pulled away, looking at the robot with a certain type of disgust that White had no idea TinkyWinky was able to feel. "So... How about it? Will you two join me?" The blue robot asked with excitement.
"No!" Tinky suddenly snapped causing Guardian to flinch and NooNoo to falter. "You killed everyone I care about! You killed my family!" The purple teletubby continued.
The robot scoffed. "I just made them better... I see now... You two will never understand." NooNoo turned around with a sigh. "Though... I like your determination, Tinky." NooNoo turned around before throwing an axe at their feet. "If you two want to leave alive then show me. Show me how strong you truly are! Po! Kill them!" It announced with excitement.
Just then was when they noticed the red teletubby making her way through the desert, the rope still loosely around her neck, her eyes a pure black and her fur a much darker and desaturated red.
TinkyWinky stared at her in shock. NooNoo wanted them to fight Po? He couldn't do that! Po was his innocent little sister! His best friend! He felt like his legs were about to buckle as a sharp pain went to his heart.
White picked up the axe and stood properly in front of the purple teletubby, ready to protect Tinky and to fight the infected. He would be much better of a fighter now that he had a weapon, but he wondered if it would be enough. He was already tired and he knew Tinky wasn't about to hurt his sister even if she was the equivalent to a zombie. He turned his head back to TinkyWinky.
"I'm not gonna force you to participate but it would help if you tried to distract her so it would be easier to get a hit in." White explained softly. Tinky gave a sorrow-filled nod. Guardian then turned back to Po who stood just a few yards away.
He gave a silent prayer to any god or goddess that might be out there before raising his axe. It was time to fight, whether he wanted to or not. "Alright, NooNoo. You want a fight? We'll give you a fight!" He announced loudly.
Po charged at them but Guardian used the axe to block the attack. Po let out a screech with a certain echo to it that shouldn't be physically possible in this desert. As White swung the axe Po she simply stepped out of the way. Well that certainly makes it harder, she knows how to dodge.
TinkyWinky also seemed to notice. "I'll grab her attention and you... Just do it." Tinky gave a sad, defeated sigh before whistling and taking a fast step to the right. Po's attention snapped over to Tinky and she charged forward, giving White the perfect opportunity to hit her. The red teletubby took the axe to the face causing her jaw to disconnect from the rest of her head.
Po took a few steps back and then she was enveloped in a cloud of purple smoke. "What a strange phenomenon" White thought to himself. How could purple smoke be created in the desert and what could've caused it? Guardian guessed NooNoo had something to do with it.
Po charged out of the cloud of smoke but she looked different, she had grown two extra limbs with blades at the ends on her shoulders and it looked like the skin on her face had melted away, only showing the broken skeleton beneath. Po also made this god awful ticking sound that would surely give Guardian a headache if he listened to it long enough.
The red infected swung the blades at White trying to cut him. White was able to dodge everything except a small blow to his arm, it hurt but it was nothing more than a small scratch wound, probably nothing to worry about. "Fuck!" He hissed, taking a step back.
"Are you okay!?" Tinky asked the other with worry. "Yeah." Guardian took a deep breath. He stood up straight again, ready to fight the red teletubby for a second time. "Ugh, this is getting boring!" NooNoo groaned "Po! Finish them!" The robot roared.
The red infected stepped back again and another cloud of purple smoke surrounded her. She jumped out seconds later with a loud, ear-piercing scream. She had grown massive and now looked almost like a spider, except she had four legs instead of eight.
"What the fuck!?" The white teletubby screamed and threw himself out of the way when Po tried to use her surprisingly sharp tarsus to impale him. He didn't fancy becoming teletubby kebab today.
Po's gaze then locked onto TinkyWinky. The purple teletubby began to slowly back away. "C-Come on, Po! Snap out of it! Th-This isn't you!" Tinky tried to get through to the tubby he once knew. Nothing seemed to work though as she pounced onto him ready to drive her sharp tarsus through him.
The white teletubby came behind her and began to hit her though she barely seemed to feel it, looks like her body had become a lot more durable than before. Po grabbed him and slammed him down beside Tinky. Guardian let out a pain filled groan.
"W-Whelp... Looks like our luck finally ran out, huh Tinky?" White let out a humorless chuckle. TinkyWinky let out a soft broken "Yeah." Guardian looked away. "Tinks, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I couldn't protect you or the others, it's all my fault." He apologized, feeling guilty for what had happened.
Tinky looked over at him. "No, it's not your fault. NooNoo was the one who did all this." TinkyWinky frowned and turned his gaze back towards Po. White sighed. "You're too nice..." He murmured. The red infected let out another loud, ear-piercing scream.
Tinky closed his eyes before a loud bang was heard. Po suddenly stumbled back, almost falling. Another bang could be heard and blood started running down Po's face, covering it and her fur in a dark red. She let out a last deafening screech before falling onto her back.
"Stay down, beast!" A sharp voice Tinky had never heard before yelled out. The purple teletubby sat up and looked to where the voice had came from. There stood a bunch of teletubbies, all wearing helmets except for a pink one who wore a cap. Behind them stood a van.
White stood up and began to walk towards them, a green teletubby raised his weapon at Guardian who promptly raised his hands defensively. "Woah! We aren't a danger! We were the ones who called you!" White explained. The green teletubby lowered their weapon slightly.
A sliver furred teletubby walked up next to the other before the green one began to speak. "I am Sergeant Miles, we got a strange call from someone in the Satellite Station. Was that you?" The green teletubby, apparently named Miles, asked.
White nodded. "Yes that was us." Miles looked over to where Po's body laid. "When Lenny first told me why you called I thought it was a prank, let's just say I'm a little more inclined to believe you know." He explained. "So, what happened?" Miles asked.
TinkyWinky's body felt weak and he had finally started to digest what had just happened. "NooNoo did it... He turned them into monsters!" Tinky spoke in a broken voice. The silver teletubby turned to him and began staring. White looked around, where WAS NooNoo? White couldn't see it anywhere so he had to assume that NooNoo probably left when they were fighting Po.
"Huh." Miles turned back to the rest of his group that consisted of the pink teletubby with a cap, a black teletubby and two other green ones. "Dutch! Anne! Search the area, we don't want to get attacked by another one of those things!" Miles yelled to the others. "Yes, sir!" The back one replied. "Alright, bud." The pink one sighed. "Could you two tell me more about what happened?" The sergeant then asked. White gave a short nod and began to explain what happened in the station.
"Slow down. What do you mean, a giant robot?" The green teletubby asked. White was about to elaborate when the black teletubby suddenly returned. "Miles! You might wanna see this!" He sounded urgent. Miles followed after the black teletubby who was already running back the way he came from White followed after them.
TinkyWinky tried to follow but the silver teletubby grabbed his wrist. "Hey, I'd like to talk to you a little." The tubby's voice was surprisingly soft but that didn't change the fact that he was terrified. Yet, Tinky gave a small nod.
The silver teletubby let go of his wrist and took off the helmet. The guy looked quite handsome, deep blue eyes, dark skin, a scar on his left cheek and that curly fur mixed with the silver color made him look especially good-looking.
Tinky looked away, his face flushing a light pink as he realized that he was staring. The other raised an eyebrow but didn't question him. "So, you come from Mainland, correct?" He asked. Tinky looked confused. "Mainland?" "Teletubby land." "Oh! Yeah, I was born and raised there, how'd you know?" Tinky asked softly. "... That's classified information sadly." The silver one frowned.
"My name is Conor, by the way. No need to call me by my title." The silver teletubby gave him a soft smile. Conor seemed a lot nicer to him than how White had first acted, and it was a nice change to how serious and stern Miles had seemed. It made him feel safer.
"If you were wondering. When we're done here, we'll take you and your friend back to our base, then you'll tell the whole story to the Captain and you. We will help fix this." Conor said softly, it was almost like Conor tried to reassure him a bit too much. It made Tinky feel a bit weird, a little unsure.
The pink teletubby came back, walking up towards them. "Talking to the new guy, Connie?" She asked curiously. "Don't call me that. And yeah, the other followed Miles and Dutch up the hill." He explained before Anne turned her attention to Tinky.
"So what's your name, big guy?" She gave him a playful smirk. "It's TinkyWinky but you can just call me Tinky or Tinks for short, miss." The purple teletubby explained. She took his hand and gave it a firm handshake. "Oh don't call me miss, the name's Anne, bud." She announced. "Oh, okay!" He gave her a small smile, she sure felt energetic.
Just then the three teletubbies who had previously ran to look at something came back with Miles in the lead, he was swearing and yelling about nothing ever being easy, Dutch and White were right behind him.
The green teletubby approached the other trio of teletubbies. "Conor! You and-" Miles cut himself off and let his gaze quickly search the area. "Where the fuck is Ninja!?" He snapped. "In the car." Anne pointed back towards the truck they had driven, looking particularly bored as she did.
Miles glared at the truck before making a gesture towards it, trying to tell whoever was in it to come over. The passenger side's door opened and out stepped a light blue teletubby. "What?" He raised an eyebrow at the group as he approached. "Why are you still in the truck!?" The green teletubby yelled. "If everyone else leaves you do too!"
Miles continued to yell about how the light blue teletubby, who Tinky guessed to be Ninja, needed to act during missions. Ninja didn't even flinch, he just looked bored. "Miles gets a little pissy if you don't follow his orders when on a mission." Anne whispered to Tinky. "It's kinda funny to watch though." Dutch snickered at them as well. Tinky frowned at the scene. He didn't like seeing people fight, whether it was physical punches or yelled words.
Conor cleared his throat loud enough for Miles to hear. The green teletubby turned around. "What?" He asked the silver one. "Can we talk for a moment, Miles?" Miles gave a sharp nod and they stepped away from the group.
TinkyWinky stepped back towards White. "Hey... Are you sure these are the right teletubbies?" He whispered, not wanting anyone else to hear. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure. Though they certainly are acting a lot less professional than I thought they would." White confessed.
"WHAT!?" The exclamation caused the duo to jump in surprise, their gazes landed back on Miles and Conor. Miles seemed to ask something they couldn't hear and Conor responded with a nod. The green and silver teletubbies then came back to the rest of the group.
"Conor, Ninja, I want the two of you to figure out what those strange things came from." Miles said, he sounded calmer now. "What things?" Ninja raised an eyebrow at his superior. "You'll know what I'm talking about when you see them." He explained. Conor gave a sharp nod and Ninja rolled his eyes. "Whatever."
"Dutch! You take the new guys back to the base. Bring them to Lenny or Richard, whoever is less busy." The green teletubby ordered. "On it, sir!" Dutch began to walk towards the cab White and Tinky hesitantly followed after him.
"Everyone else, we'll stay and fight those things, we can't let them get to the base." Miles told the others before turning back to the truck where Dutch was about to get into the driver's seat. "And Dutch, Remember to get backup, for once..." He said sternly. "Oh! Yeah of course I will!" The black teletubby hopped into the vehicle.
TinkyWinky and White slid in from the passenger door. White quickly buckled his seatbelt, Tinky seemed a bit confused but did the same as Guardian.
Dutch started the engine and they began to move. The purple teletubby looked out the window towards where the other teletubbies were probably discussing plans. As they drove away Tinky watched them grow smaller and smaller the farther the distance became.
A few silent minutes went by before White began to speak. Tinky's ear twitched back to listen to the conversation. "So... You're Dutch, right?" He asked. "Bingo! And what's your name?" Dutch replied. "White." Guardian said with slight disdain for the name. "Cool."
They went silent again, the only sound that could be heard was the soft purr of the engine as they drove through the desert that slowly began to turn into a field and then into a forest. "What's the purple guy's name?" Dutch asked White. "TinkyWinky." White answered. Tinky was getting secondhand embarrassment at how awkward the conversation was.
The purple teletubby felt his eyelids grow heavier, he hadn't slept for a while and all the forced 'activities' for the day sure had been exhausting. He desperately wanted to sleep. He turned his gaze over to White and Dutch who were staring straight forward.
They weren't getting up to any interesting conversations nor did there seem to be much of a danger at the moment. Perhaps a small nap wouldn't hurt, he just needed to rest his eyes. At least that's what he told himself. It did not take long before he was fast asleep.

Fun fact about this fic! Lenny is an engineer! And Gary is a Scientist!
Chapter Text
White's face flushed as he felt Tinky's head on his shoulder. Was he sleeping? Should he wake him up? No, he needed the rest, he was probably exhausted. Yet that didn't calm White's heart in the slightest. Tinky was just sleeping on him, why did his heartbeat speed up all of a sudden? And why was his cheeks so red?
Dutch glanced over at them. "So... Are you two...?" The black teletubby asked. "What? No! Definitely not. We've only known each other for like a day." White answered. That was almost true. It had been the first time they interacted and the first time Tinky had met him, though he himself practically knew everything about Tinky and his siblings.
"Alrighty then. Well, anyways. You're a guardian right? Why were you at the station? Last I checked there weren't any, oh what do you call it? Uh holding cells around there." Dutch asked. "It's just a boxed in landscape with high surveillance, not a cell." White explained. "Well are the test subjects allowed to leave?" The driver asked. "Well, no..." White murmured. "Exactly! So it's a prison!" The black teletubby joked.
White rolled his eyes. "Well to answer your question, I worked in Mainland and something strange happened to one of the subjects, she killed the others leaving only this guy." White pointed towards the sleeping tubby. "He's one of my subjects."
Dutch nodded. "Oh, okay. So you took him with you? Don't quote me on this since I'm not an expert but isn't that, like, forbidden?" He asked curiously. The white teletubby sighed. "Yup. But I needed some sort of evidence that I at least tried to save the others. We went to the Satellite Station to find my superiors and explain the situation, but when we got there everyone was dead." The white teletubby made a motion with his hand over his throat to really emphasize the death part. "Oh." Dutch murmured.
They sat in silence for a while before they came onto an actual road! "We're almost there now! You might want to wake up your friend." The black teletubby explained. White turned to TinkyWinky and gave him a slight nudge. "H-huh?" The purple teletubby slowly opened his eyes, before quickly sitting up straight. Tinky looked around in confusion before calming down and looking back at White. He let out a yawn. "Sorry, I fell asleep, heh."
"Good morning, Sleepyhead!" Dutch chuckled. "Hi Dutch!" Tinky chuckled back at the black teletubby's enthusiasm. White suddenly pointed out the windshield at a building between the trees. "Is that the base?" He asked Dutch, who nodded. "Mhm!"
Dutch slowed the truck down and came to a stop in front of a gate before rolling down the window. "Hello, fellas!" He waved out the window towards the watchtower where a few guards were. "Welcome back, Asshole!" One of them yelled back at him before the gate opened.
White was staring with concern at Dutch whilst Tinky just looked confused at what was happening. As the black teletubby looked back at him he just raised an eyebrow. "What? Ain't a guy allowed to have friends?" He's lips curved into a playful grin before driving forward. Tinky returned the smile whilst White just sighed. TinkyWinky seemed to like Dutch, at least more than White did.
Dutch parked right in front of the gate before stepping out of the truck. White and Tinky stepped out from the other side and walked around the truck to stand slightly behind Dutch. A soldier approached them.
"Long time no see, Dutch! Wait, where are the others? And who are they?" The soldier pointed towards White and Tinky. "Nice seeing you, mate! And those are the guys we saved. The others are still at the station. We found some weird tubbies there. They seemed dangerous so Miles told me to bring these two back here and get them to talk to Richard." Dutch shrugged.
"Oh, alright then. Can I have the truck?" The soldier asked. "Of course!" Dutch threw the keys at them. "By the way. Lenny said he was looking for Miles and Conor so could you tell him they're not here yet?" The soldier asked as they climbed into the truck. "Of course!" The black teletubby waved goodbye before walking away.
White and Tinky quickly followed behind him. "Welp guys, we're going to Lenny and I'm just gonna leave you two with him as well because I'm way too lazy to go all the way to Richard's office after." Dutch explained as they walked by various buildings and massive containers. "Well at least he's honest." White whispered to Tinky who let out a small snort of laughter.
Dutch walked into a large building and up a flight of stairs. White could hear someone yelling, he instantly became a little more cautious of what was happening around him. He also noticed that TinkyWinky stepped a little closer to him.
There were a bunch of strange machines against the walls, similar to what they had at the Satellite Station. The trio walked around a corner to see a bunch of teletubbies standing around one who seemed to be trying to fix one of the machines.
"OH FOR FUCK SAKE!" The one trying to fix the machine yelled. White could see Tinky light up a little as he seemed to recognize the voice strangely enough, perhaps this was the same guy the purple teletubby had talked to when they had first contacted the military? "Lenny! I've got some news for you!" Dutch announced. Everyone turned their gaze towards the trio that had just entered.
The one in the middle stood up and put the wrench he had been holding onto the broken machine. "Oh, Dutch! What's up, mate?" The teletubby stepped past the others and up to Dutch. "Well the others need backup, we found these two at the station, I'm pretty sure a zombie invasion is happening, and do you know where Richard is?" Dutch began to list.
"Backup, okay." Lenny turned to one of the teletubbies that had previously been watching him trying to fix a machine. "Ey, Chris. Ya mind telling a few guys to go to Satellite Station?" He asked. "I'll do that." The other teletubby nodded before walking over to a working machine.
Lenny turned back to the trio. "Ah, so you brought a grape and a snowball back home, huh?" He laughed. "So which one of ya did I talk to through the phone?"
Tinky frowned. "Phone? Well I was the one who called you, though I didn't use a phone." He explained. Lenny gave him a soft smile and extended a hand towards him. "Ah, nice to meet ya, grape boy!" The indigo teletubby smiled. Tinky took his hand and gave a firm handshake.
Lenny then turned back to Dutch. "You asked where Richard is, right? Well he and a few others went. To check out a distress call we received." He explained. "Wait, Richard went out on a mission!? That's a new one! Are we short on people or something?" The black teletubby joked. "Yeah, we definitely are! Like I had to send Phil out! Almost everyone else is either already out or sick." Lenny confirmed.
"You know that our superiors are gonna yell at you for that, especially Miles." Dutch said with concern. "Yeah, I know, but what was I supposed to do? Let a sick guy go onto a mission that could be dangerous?" The indigo teletubby raised an eyebrow. "I'm just saying, you shouldn't have sent out a doctor."
White stepped forward. "Excuse me for interrupting, but did you say sick? What are their symptoms?" Guardian asked and furrowed his eyebrows. Lenny turned to him. "Uh, yeah, half the base has had stomach aches and haven't been able to sleep. Phil couldn't find anything wrong with them though. It's probably just food poisoning, nothing to worry about." Lenny brushed it off.
The colour began to drain from Tinky's face. "T-They didn't eat the custard, right?" He asked. Lenny grimaced. "Well yes. A majority of the tubbies here eat it because of its high protein and carbs. The only ones who don't eat it are lactose intolerant folks or those who are just straight up allergic to it, like me."
"Oh no." Tinky whispered to himself. "Do NOT eat the custard! It's poisoned!" White yelled. Everyone else in the room turned to look at them. "What?" Dutch looked shocked. "NooNoo poisoned it! It's the same thing with those armless teletubbies we saw and Po!" White continued to yell.
"So that big red spider monster was a teletubby?" Dutch asked, stunned by White's statement. "Yeah. And if someone eats it they turn into emotionless killing machines." The white teletubby turned to look at Tinky, he looked like he was about to cry. Dutch seemed to have noticed too as he pulled the purple teletubby into a side hug. "Hey, it's okay."
Lenny turned to all the others. Everyone else in the room was staring at them in shock. "Hey! We need to inform everyone about NOT eating the custards!" He told everyone else. "This is terrible!" One of them cried out. "What are we supposed to eat now!?" Another asked.
White drowned out the voices and just stared at Tinky and Dutch. He didn't like how long Dutch was hugging Tinky, even though it was just a friendly side hug. He didn't understand why he felt so jealous over it.
He sighed and shook his head. He shouldn't get jealous over anything someone does to Tinky. The purple teletubby is his own person after all. White was snapped back to reality by Tinky tapping his arm.
"White? You there?" TinkyWinky asked with concern. He was standing in front of him now. "Oh. Uh, yeah, what's up?" White looked between Tinky and the two others. Dutch turned to Lenny. "I'll go warn Richard's group. See ya!" The black teletubby then ran off.
The indigo teletubby looked back towards White and Tinky. "Welp, Snowball, Grape boy, Since Richie ain't here right now I'll have to be the one to interrogate ya." He explained as he began to walk towards the stairs, Lenny then looked back at them. "C'mon."
They followed behind him down the stairs and into a small room with one table and four chairs. Lenny sat down on one side whilst beckoning the others to sit down. "Just so you know, I'll have to record our conversation." He explained, White gave him a small nod.
Lenny pulled out a small machine, probably an audio recorder and put it on. "Alright, so do you mind telling me what happened and how you got to the outskirts?" The indigo teletubby requested.
TinkyWinky began to explain everything from the start, at least from his perspective. White wasn't really listening anymore, he was more focused on planning out what to do next. He wasn't really a 'guardian' anymore, he kinda failed at it so what was he supposed to do now? He could probably go back to being a biologist, maybe help figure out a cure for the infected or maybe become a doctor. He did have some experience and something is better than nothing, right?
Lenny cleared his throat loudly, trying to gain White's attention. "Snowball! I'm talkin' to ya!" The indigo teletubby frowned. "Sorry. What were you saying again?" He asked and sat up a little more straight. "I asked if you had anything to add?"
White thought about it. He did have a lot to add, stuff TinkyWinky didn't know about and therefore could've not mentioned, though he'd like to keep Tinky a bit in the dark about the whole 'them being test subjects' thing. Maybe it would be best to keep Lenny in the dark too. He seemed to only be an engineer after all. "No, nothing too important." He lied, though it was clear that Lenny didn't buy it.
"Alright." Lenny sighed before shouting "Gary!" Towards the door where they had come in through. "Yeah?" Said an orange teletubby who was leaning against the wall on the other side of the room where the only entrance was, he definitely wasn't there before. The teletubby's sudden appearance startled all three of the others.
"OH MY FU- Gary! You can't just do that, I almost had a heart attack! How DO you even do that!? " Lenny clutched at his heart and took a deep breath. "Sorry." Gary shrugged. Lenny let out a sigh. "Anyways. Could you show Tinky here to an empty room. I think they'll be staying here for a while." The indigo teletubby requested. Gary gave a big thumbs up.
"But what about White?" TinkyWinky asked with a small frown. "Oh, don't worry, I just want to ask him a few questions first then he'll be right back with ya." Lenny explained calmly. The purple teletubby nodded before standing up and following Gary out of the room.
The two remaining teletubbies stared at where the other two had left for a few moments. Lenny turned back towards White once he was sure Tinky and Gary weren't able to hear. "So, do you mind telling me what actually happened?" White frowned. "What?" Was he really that easy to read?
Lenny let out another sigh. "You ain't fooling me, White. You're a guardian and Tinkster over there is a test subject. You know more than you're letting on. We need the full story. For us to help you, you need to help us." The indigo teletubby's voice turned more serious with each word.
White sighed, Lenny was right, he needed to tell them. "I know... Alright, do you want me to start from when I got the job to now or...?" He began. "Well, Tinky already told me the basics of what happened to you yesterday which was just a little snippet of your lives and experiences, so yes, I'd prefer to hear the whole thing." Lenny told him.
White took a deep breath. "I'll tell you as much as I remember." He tried to think back to those times before and when he just started his job as an overseer or 'guardian' as his job was called, he then began to talk.
Chapter 8: Chapter 8 {Sleep}
Notes:
Ah yes! The shortest of the chapters! Fun fact of the chapter: Gary knows a lot about humans. He has definitely not made anything up!
Chapter Text
"Okay, so here are the rooms. That one's empty." Gary told TinkyWinky and pointed towards a wooden door in-between two others. The orange teletubby had shown him around half the base already and White was still not done being interrogated.
TinkyWinky wondered what was taking so long for the white teletubby. He felt worried that something might have happened. Tinky sighed, everything was fine, he was just over reacting, but how could he not? The last time he left someone alone they died.
Gary walked towards the door to the room he said was empty and opened it. The purple teletubby looked over Gary's shoulder into the room. There was a bed in one corner with a drawer next to it, a desk with a chair in the other corner, and a window.
The two teletubbies stepped inside. "Welp, this is your room now!" Gary said nonchalantly. Tinky turned to look at the other in confusion. "Wait, I get my own room?" He asked. The orange teletubby gave him a thumbs up. "Yup, we have a surprising amount of empty rooms, and to be fair, we aren't an actual military so we don't have that many things here." Gary tried to put it simply, yet it still didn't make TinkyWinky understand.
"Well, the military was something the humans had when the world used to be divided into different countries, a lot of the countries leaders decided to go to war with each other and that's why they had militaries which are a group of people who fight for their country against other militaries who are doing the same thing." Gary began to ramble about something TinkyWinky would probably never understand.
"Of course, we as teletubbies do not need a military as we are all one country and actually respect each other and aren't supposed to feel the need to put others in danger over a simple disagreement. Instead, we talk with each other as adults." Tinky had already spaced out and Gary knew this, yet he continued his talking.
"So why do we have a military here? Well, in reality a majority of us are just posers, except if you're Miles apparently as he is the living embodiment of '5 years of experience at 18', which is honestly insane, isn't that illegal? Should we have told someone about how Richard made an actual child work here? Who would we tell? Where were their parents? Are they orphans?" Gary finally noticed how off topic he had come.
"Oh! Sorry, I'm rambling again, where were we? Ah! Yeah, this is your room now, enjoy!" And then Gary left, just like that. TinkyWinky stared towards where the orange teletubby had gone.
"What just happened?" He asked himself before sighing and sitting down on the bed, his bed, in his room. It felt really weird to think about it, he had always shared a room with his siblings, and he had never slept alone before.
He laid back on the bed and closed his eyes. He wasn't gonna sleep, he was way too nervous for that, but he did try to rest his eyes. The purple teletubby took a deep breath, slowly breathing out.
A few minutes went by before someone knocked on his door. TinkyWinky opened his eyes and sat up before saying a soft "come in" towards the door. White opened it and stepped inside. Their eyes locked together for a moment before they both promptly looked away.
"So... This is your new room, huh? It's kinda empty." White said before looking around the room awkwardly. "Yeah." Tinky sighed and leaned back against the wall.
The white teletubby sat down next to TinkyWinky on the bed. "How are you feeling, buddy?" He asked the taller teletubby. "I'm okay, just very tired." Tinky rubbed the back of his neck. "Oh, did I wake you up?" White frowned. "No, I couldn't sleep anyways." The purple teletubby shrugged.
"But you should rest. I mean, you've been up for almost twenty-four hours." The white teletubby looked at Tinky with concern. "I know, it's just hard since I'm in a new place and my... siblings aren't here." He began to tear up at the thought of his siblings.
"Yeah... But try to get some rest, please. I'll go talk to that Gary guy, he's apparently a scientist and it might be good if I tell him what NooNoo told us about the custards." White explained his plan to the other. The purple teletubby gave him a nod. "Alright. But come back once you're done."
"Of course." White stood back up from the bed and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. TinkyWinky let out a yawn before laying back down on his bed. After his talk with White he didn't feel as nervous about sleeping in the room alone. He closed his eyes and beckoned sleep to take him away, causing him to eventually fall asleep.
Chapter Text
TinkyWinky woke up with a yawn. He sat up in his bed and stretched his arms before looking over to his left where the three other beds that belonged to his siblings were. They were all empty, nothing too unusual, he'd always been the one to sleep the longest.
The purple teletubby got up and walked over to the tubby-toast machine and started it up. It promptly shot out a tubby toast which he easily caught mid-air.
He took a bite out of the toast and walked over to the table where Dipsy sat. "Morning, Tinky!" His little brother smiled at him. "Eh-oh Dipsy!" He smiled back before sitting down next to the other.
"Does your tummy still hurt?" The purple teletubby asked as he took another bite out of his toast. "Yup, I don't think I'm gonna eat any more custard for a week! But at least Po is doing my chores for that week." Dipsy snickered whilst Tinky himself just rolled his eyes at their shenanigans.
"Where are the girls, by the way?" He asked as he finished his toast. "They're outside playing." Dipsy explained before standing up and walking over to the slide. He laid back on it and let out a yawn. "Just so you know, the custard machine is broken."
TinkyWinky groaned out of frustration. "Aw! But I'm still hungry!" He whined before getting an idea. "Dipsy~?" He asked sweetly. "Nope." The other answered. "Oh come on! You didn't even know what I was gonna ask!" Tinky walked up next to the slide, staring down at his brother.
The green teletubby frowned up at Tinky. "Well, considering the context you were probably gonna ask if I could fix it for you." Dipsy sat back up. "What? Pf! No of course not!" TinkyWinky lied, but he was as easy to read as an open book.
The purple teletubby sighed and finally gave in. "Okay fine! I did, but come on! I'd do it for you if you asked me!" He tried to reason. "No you wouldn't, also you don't even know HOW to do it." Dipsy glared at him.
Tinky let out a huff. "Fine! If you won't help then I'll do it myself!" The older teletubby went to grab the tool box on the other side of the room. He came back with it in his hand and sat down on his knees in front of the custard machine when a strange wave of déjà vu fell over him. This felt oddly familiar even though this was the first time he tried to fix the machine.
He shook the strange feeling away and tried to fix it. He tried to do the same things he had seen Dipsy and Po do with the machine, yet everything he did seemed to mess it up even more.
The purple teletubby let out a groan of frustration. "Why won't it work!?" He whined. Dipsy chuckled from the slide, which caused Tinky to turn his head towards him. "Are you seriously just gonna sit there and watch your poor big bro fail horribly at fixing our main food source?" He glared at the other.
"Mh... Let me think about it..." Dipsy lifted a paw to his chin, pretending to think. "Hm... Nope! That's your problem." The green teletubby smirked whilst Tinky looked annoyed. "Rude! Well that's the last time I will help you look for your hat, you dummy!"
"Name-calling!? Oh how childish of you!" Dipsy said as if he was actually offended, Tinky knew they were just playing around of course but it did sound surprisingly real.
Dipsy crossed his arms over his chest and turned his head away, like a child, yet Tinky could see he was trying not to laugh. The purple teletubby let out a small chuckle before approaching his little brother. He put a paw on Dipsy's shoulder which caused the green teletubby to flinch away. TinkyWinky frowned at the reaction but gave it no mind.
"You want some tubby-toast? I'm still hungry and since I can't get that machine to work I was thinking of eating another toast." He explained. "Thanks but no thanks. I'm still feeling a bit ill from eating all that custard yesterday." The younger sighed.
"Alright, more for me!" The purple teletubby proceeded towards the tubby-toast machine for the second time today. He smacked the start button and seconds later another perfectly toasted toast flew out. Unlike last time however, he wasn't able to catch it, instead falling onto his rear whilst the toast landed on the table.
Dipsy began to laugh at him. "Bahaha! And you call yourself a great catcher!" Tinky's face grew red from embarrassment as he stood back up. "H-Hey! The machine spat it out higher up than it usually does!" He tried to excuse whilst Dipsy rolled his eyes.
"Yeah yeah! Excuses excuses!" The green teletubby continued to laugh. "Well, at least I didn't trip face first into the slide and cut half my face open!" TinkyWinky fired back. Dipsy's paw immediately flew to the scar on his cheek. Tinky could only guess that it was his attempt at covering the scar.
The purple teletubby could feel the mood sour. "Y-Yeah! Ahaha! Clumsy me!" Dipsy laughed yet it sounded awfully forced even to Tinky. Did he say something wrong? Was he too harsh? Or was his brother simply embarrassed?
Dipsy had always seemed reluctant to talk about the scar with him or anyone else. The only thing Tinky knew was what Dipsy had told him when the other had come to him that evening, sobbing with half his face cut open. Tinky had of course tried to patch him up, luckily The green teletubby was still able to see through his left eye. But he had refused to tell Tinky anything more than that he fell and cut his face on a sharp edge.
When TinkyWinky thought about it, he doubted that something like that could've happened. The cut had been too long and way too clean for what Dipsy had told him to be true. Perhaps there was something more to the story.
Dipsy cleared his throat, snapping TinkyWinky back to reality. "Well, anyways- You should take that tubby toast before NooNoo comes back, you know how they get when we leave things out."
The purple teletubby turned back towards the tubby-toast that still laid on the table before picking it up. He took a bite out of it and began to walk towards the door. "I'm gonna go see what Laa and Po are doing!" He said a quick goodbye to his brother.
It was way too awkward to stay inside. He shouldn't have brought up Dipsy's scar. This always happened when he did! Oh don't get him wrong, he had tried to resolve it but whether he was asking a question about how it happened or even just mentioning it Dipsy would always change the subject or make some half-assed excuse, so he had practically stopped trying. Oh why did he bring it up to begin with? He should've just laughed along! Now they would be awkward towards each other for the whole day! Maybe even the whole week!
Tinky suddenly had that strange feeling again, he could recall that night with Dipsy so well even though he usually barely remembers what happened. It happened back when they were young teens after all. It almost felt like he was seeing it play out right in front of his eyes, but that wasn't true. He was on his way outside to LaaLaa and Po. Wait, wasn't he holding a tubby-toast? The purple teletubby looked at his empty hand in confusion before shrugging it off. Perhaps he'd already eaten it.
The purple teletubby stepped outside, the sun shining bright. He had to put his arm in front of his face because the sun's rays were shining straight into his eyes. He let out a small grunt, he had never been a morning person, the sun was too bright for him. TinkyWinky blinked a few times before he saw LaaLaa playing with her yoga ball a small bit away from the dome.
"Hey LaaLaa!" He called out to her. She looked up at him and her face instantly lit up. "Tinky!" The yellow teletubby ran up to him and threw the yoga ball straight at him. "Oof! Hey!" The taller teletubby exclaimed but managed to catch the ball.
LaaLaa laughed at him so he threw the ball back at her. As the yoga ball collided with the yellow teletubby she fell backwards. "Ouch... Oh you asshole!" LaaLaa stuck her tongue out at Tinky who audibly gasped. "LaaLaa! Don't swear! There are children here!" He scolded her playfully.
She looked around and then back at him with raised eyebrows. "But there aren't any kids here?" She tried to reason. "Yes there are! Po!" TinkyWinky said dramatically. "Okay, first of all, Po isn't here. Second of all she's literally nineteen, aka not a child." LaaLaa dropped the ball and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Yeah, Po is nineTEEN! She's still a teen and that means she's a child!" The purple teletubby pouted. LaaLaa rolled her eyes, she clearly didn't want to question his superior thinking that definitely wasn't just him trying to annoy her.
"Well, anyways! Do you know where she is?" TinkyWinky asked his best friend. LaaLaa looked past him. "Yup." The yellow teletubby then pointed towards a red thing on the hill approaching them. Tinky had to squint his eyes because of the sun but it was clearly their little sister coming back home.
"Po!" He yelled and ran towards her once the red teletubby had walked down the hill. "TinkyWinky!" She exclaimed back before being picked up by the older. "Eep! Put me down!" She whined and began to squirm in Tinky's grasp. The purple teletubby laughed and put her back down. "Okay okay! Calm down, you wiggling worm!"
Po giggled and looked over towards LaaLaa who was walking towards them. "LaaLaa!" The youngest teletubby hugged her big sister. "Hi Po." LaaLaa hugged her back. "I'm so glad my favourite sister is back!" Tinky said playfully, earning a slight shove from LaaLaa. "Hey!" She glared.
"It's okay LaaLaa, you're MY favourite sister!" Po tried to comfort her. "Thanks Po, but that doesn't count since I'm your only sister." The yellow teletubby sighed. "Oh." Po frowned. "But it's okay that you're Tinky's favorite sister since Dipsy is my favorite brother." LaaLaa turned towards Tinky with a satisfied grin.
TinkyWinky let out a snort of laughter before shaking his head. "Oh shucks! Well, at least I know Po is always on my side!" He announced. "I love you Tinks, Dipsy is my favorite brother too." The shortest teletubby confessed. Tinky let out a gasp and clutched dramatically at his chest "ow! Po you wound me! How could you betray me like this!?" He let out a fake sob.
The girls looked down at him, LaaLaa was trying to hold in her laughter and Po looked slightly guilty. "Tinky, don't take it personally but you're kind of, well, boring compared to Dipsy." The red teletubby explained.
"Ouch. Welp, I guess I'll have to become more interesting then!" He sighed and shook his head. "Can you tell me what you think is cool about Dipsy so I can become cool too?" He requested.
Po thought about it for a second before she began to speak. "Well, Dipsy likes to play music with me and he teaches me how to fix the machines in the dome. Oh! And he also comes with me on walks and stuff!" Po began to list with excitement.
LaaLaa gave her sister a stunned look. "Wait you're serious? THAT'S what makes you think he's cool?" She asked the younger teletubby. "Yeah. I dunno, I just think he's more masculine than you Tinky." Po explained as she turned back to the purple teletubby.
"Masculine? Dipsy? Oh please, he's the equivalent of a fa-" LaaLaa began but was interrupted by TinkyWinky laughing. "AHAHA! Yes uh! Thanks Po! I'll try to be more masculine and cool!" The purple teletubby glared at LaaLaa, knowing what she was about to say.
"Eh, anyways! Y'all wanna know about this weird dream I had?" LaaLaa asked the other two who nodded and gave a thumbs up. "So there was this weird guy, i first thought it was Shrek but he was completely black and also like a teletubby." She began to explain when Tinky interrupted her. "Shrek? You dream about Shrek?"
"Ey! Don't judge my taste in men!" She glared at her brother. "Oh I'm judging alright!" He laughed, the comment caused Po to giggle. "As I said, I first thought it was Shrek but it clearly wasn't since he looked more like a-"
Tinky closed his eyes for just a moment and then when he opened them back up he was suddenly in the dome, but this time he was all alone and it looked decrepit. "What the-!?" He began to look around. "H-Hello!? Po!?" He didn't find anyone inside so he went outside, teletubby land looked overgrown and almost like a marshland. "LaaLaa!?" He yelled out but got no answer. He made his way over to the lake. "D-Dipsy!?" He called out to all of his siblings but still got no answer. "White...?" He whimpered, no-one was there.
Suddenly he felt a chill go down his back. He froze in place. "You miss them, don't you?" A familiar voice asked from behind him, it sounded like White but there was something wrong with it. The purple teletubby became filled with dread as he remembered what had happened the day and night before, his siblings had all died and he had been forced to leave teletubby land with White.
He slowly turned around to see a pure black teletubby, it almost looked like a shadow except for the wide, pure white grin that it carried on its face. "I can bring you all back together again. I just require one small thing from you." It spoke as it approached.
"W-What is it?" He asked the black entity. Suddenly a contract appeared floating beside them. "I need you to sign this." It explained and gestured over towards the contract. "And you- you'll bring my siblings back?" He asked. "Correct." It answered.
TinkyWinky hesitated for a moment. "A-And why should I trust you?" He questioned. "Because I am the only being capable of bringing them back. Now, do we have a deal?" It asked him.
The purple teletubby was still hesitant, he grabbed the contract and began to read through it, it was as if the thing was written in an entirely different language, he did understand some words but not nearly enough to make out what it said, what does even acquire or utilize even mean? But this could be the only chance he'd get to actually bring his siblings back.
TinkyWinky took a deep breath. "Okay... Deal." He answered. The shadow-like entity's grin grew wider. It grabbed his wrist and cut him using a surprisingly sharp claw? Tinky didn't know what it was but it cut deep enough for blood to flow.
He tried to pull his hand away but the shadow put the bleeding wound up against the contract. "I do apologize for this, but your blood is required to sign the contract." It explained. The explanation calmed Tinky down just a smidge, but not enough for him to stop panicking.
After a second the entity finally let go and the contract vanished into thin air. "Alright, a deal is a deal." That was the last thing TinkyWinky heard before he snapped awake. He sat straight up in his bed, he was covered in sweat. He took deep breaths to try and calm his racing heart.
"O-Oh.... Oh, it was just- just a dream." He told himself as he wiped the sweat from his forehead. "Ouch!" His arm stung, the purple teletubby looked down at his arm to see the same cut on his wrist that that thing had given to him in the dream. "What the fuck!?"
Notes:
Oh no! Kids, never sign a contract before reading it or if you don't know what it says!
Fun fact of the Chapter: Unlike in canon where TinkyWinky and Po are best friends, and LaaLaa and Dipsy are best friends, in this au Po and Dipsy are best friends whilst LaaLaa and Tinky are best friends!
Chapter 10: Chapter 10 {Decisions}
Notes:
Fun fact of the chapter: Richard and Miles are brothers here. :)

Chapter Text
The purple teletubby got out of bed and walked towards the door, his wrist throbbing with pain. He needed to clean the wound, probably bandage it up, he knew there was an infirmary on the other side of the base.
He walked out of the room, still focused on his wrist. TinkyWinky made his way to the infirmary, good thing he remembered where it was. He tried to open the door but it didn't budge, it seemed to be locked. Tinky knocked on it, yet no-one came to open.
Suddenly a gray teletubby came up towards him, tapping on his shoulder to gain his attention. "Hey, Phil isn't here right now..." She explained. Tinky frowned. "O-oh. Well I- I've hurt my wrist and I don't really know what to do." He explained to her.
"Huh, could I see it? I'm not that good at that stuff but Phil did teach me the basics." She explains and holds out her hand. Tinky puts his hand in hers and she brings it closer to her face. "Huh, this doesn't look too bad... I'll help patch you up." She offered kindly.
"Y-You will? Thank you!" The purple teletubby let out a sigh of relief whilst the gray one let go of his wrist and got out a pair of keys, she unlocked the door and stepped inside with Tinky following behind her.
"Okay, you can take a seat over there whilst I get everything." She pointed towards a chair. "Alright." He nodded and took a seat.
The gray teletubby walked over to a cabinet and pulled out a bandage, some cotton pads and some cleaning alcohol before walking over to him.
She poured some of the alcohol onto a cotton pad before gently grabbing Tinky's wrist with her other hand. "Okay, this might hurt a little." She warned before pressing the alcohol drenched cotton pad against the wound.
Tinky flinched at the sudden burning sensation on and around the wound. It stung a lot, he breathed in a sharp breath as the gray teletubby cleaned it.
Once it was clean she wrapped the bandage tightly around his wrist and hand, but not tight enough for it to hurt or stop the blood flow. "And there we go!" She exclaimed as she put it in place.
The purple teletubby looked down at his hand. "Thank you!" He smiled up at the other. "Any time! We survivors gotta stick together and help each other out, you know."
TinkyWinky gave a small nod before standing up. "I'm gonna clean up here, you can go do whatever." The gray teletubby smiled at him. "Are you sure? I could help you with it." He offered, she chuckled but shook her head.
"It's just two things, I think I can put them back by myself. Run along now." She told him softly. "Okay, Thanks again." He thanked her before leaving.
He walked down the hallway before hearing his stomach growl, Tinky realized how hungry he was, he had eaten nothing but tubby-toast for the past two days.
He thought about going to the cafeteria before remembering that he was supposed to meet White in his room. "Oh darn it! I totally forgot!" Tinky whisper-shouted at himself before running back towards his room.
Whilst being caught up in his thoughts he ran straight into someone. "Oof!" He exclaimed as he fell onto them. " Are you two okay?" A somewhat familiar voice asked from beside them.
TinkyWinky quickly got back onto his feet. "I'm so sorry!" He immediately tried to apologize, looking down at who he ran into.
"Hey... It's okay, accidents happen." The other teletubby got up. It was the green teletubby that had helped them, what was his name again? Mike? Milo? Miles maybe? Yeah that was the name, Tinky was sure of it.
The other teletubby that stood beside Miles, a pink teletubby, helped Miles up. He thinks her name was Anna? Or was it Anne?
"I suggest you don't run in the halls, people walk here a lot and some tubbies just throw their doors open without a care in the world. I had to learn the hard way." Miles said and even though it was hard to tell as he was wearing his helmet Tinky was pretty sure the green teletubby was glancing at the pink one.
"I already said I was sorry." She sighed and looked away.
Miles turned back to Tinky. "You know the other tubby you came here with? The white one with that fancy looking cow print hat? Yeah, so he's looking for you, he's in the cafeteria."
"Oh! Thank you for telling me!" He smiled at them. "Yeah, we're actually on our way to Phil, I may or may not have broken my arm..." Anne said and looked to the side in embarrassment.
"Oh, um, well Phil isn't here." TinkyWinky explained awkwardly. "What?" Miles asked, Tinky could feel the green teletubby's glare on him even though he couldn't see it, it made him shrink a little.
"W-Well, Lenny said- you see Lenny told us he had to s-send Phil out." The purple teletubby explains whilst looking down at the floor. "He WHAT!?" Miles yells before grabbing Tinky's shoulder. "Okay, you're coming with us."
TinkyWinky felt scared, did he do something wrong? But he was just telling the truth.
The green teletubby pulled him all the way to the communication center, Anne had been following behind them, she looked quite bored.
Miles let go of him and stepped inside. "Does anyone know where Lenny is!?" He yelled to everyone in there, he sounded mad. "Woah! Calm down, Miles! He just went on an early lunch break." One of the teletubbies told him.
Miles immediately turned and walked out, grabbing Tinky's shoulder again. Anne just sighed and followed.
TinkyWinky felt a tiny spark of excitement as they walked towards the cafeteria, he was going to see White, even if he was going to be yelled at or whatever Miles had planned to do with him since he was still being pulled along.
Miles pushed the doors open and walked inside. "LENNY!" He yelled and looked towards the indigo teletubby.
TinkyWinky noticed White sitting with Lenny and a few others at a table, he recognized Gary as well as the nice silver teletubby from before, he remembers their name as Conor, and also the light blue teletubby that Miles had yelled at in the outskirts, but he couldn't remember his name.
"There you are! Lenny!" Miles pulled him towards the group and Anne continued to follow behind them before sitting down next to the light blue teletubby.
The indigo teletubby turned around to face them. "Ah! Miles, there you are!" Lenny smiled at them.
"This guy said you sent Phil out, is that true?" The green teletubby asked sharply whilst gesturing towards TinkyWinky.
"W-Well, I couldn't send anyone else out, and only sending Alf felt like a dick move, especially since it was a distress call, plus Mike escorted them so it wasn't like they had to walk there!" Lenny tried to excuse.
"That doesn't matter! We have a lot of rules here, yes, but the second most important one is: Don't send out our only medical professional or scientist onto a dangerous mission!" The green teletubby yelled whilst Tinky snuck away from them and towards White.
He sat down next to his friend. "I wondered where you'd gone... What happened to your wrist?" The white teletubby asked whilst looking down at it. Tinky followed White's gaze down towards his bandaged hand, remembering its origins and instantly feeling strange. Had that actually been real? It couldn't have been, right? But he still had the wound.
"Oh, it's nothing, really... Well actually, I had this super strange dream and then when I woke up my wrist was bleeding." He explained, there's no need in keeping the weird experience a secret after all.
White looked concerned. "What? Wait so you got that in a dream?" The other asked and pointed towards his hand. "Basically. Oh! And there was this scary tubby that looked like your shadow!" Tinky added.
The color instantly seemed to drain from White's face but before either of them could speak a red teletubby came through the door.
Everyone turned towards the red teletubby. "Ah Rich! You can't believe what this dumbass did!" Miles yelled out to the teletubby, referring towards Lenny, before he frowned. "You look like you've seen a ghost." The green teletubby added with concern.
"Richard, where's Finn?" Asked Conor as he looked towards the door and then back at the red teletubby. "And Dutch?" Gary added to the list of missing teletubbies.
Richard opened his mouth to speak before closing it again and looking down at the floor with sorrow. "Richard?" Miles tried to gain his attention again.
After a few moments of agonizing silence Richard finally spoke. "They're dead."

Stop ruining the mood, Richard. Also, Tinky hasn't died to a newborn! Yet....

Chapter Text
Dipsy turned in the algae filled water towards where he had heard a strange sound. He squinted his eyes and slowly floated closer, careful not to alert whatever it was he heard, unsure if it was prey or a predator.
"What are we even doing here, Phil? Weren't we just supposed to search the village?" A voice asked, it was a teletubby? Dipsy's eyes widened, he hadn't seen a teletubby in ages, or well maybe it hadn't been THAT long, not that Dipsy could really tell, it was always dark here in the swamp and it was hard to tell the time when he didn't have a head.
"I know, but there is this plant here that Gary told me about, Alf. It can apparently be used as a disinfectant." Another voice explained. "And how much testing have you two done with it, you know how much Gary exaggerates and doesn't talk about side effects." The first voice sounded more stern this time.
Dipsy turned around and swam away from the duo, he didn't want more bloodshed nor did he want to scare the two away. There was no need to kill the two, he wasn't hungry and they weren't a threat.
"What are you doing?" A familiar voice growled at him. He looked up to see a shadow-like teletubby staring down at him with a pure white grin that Dipsy had once seen as terrifying. "Mh?" He grunted back in confusion.
"Why are you not attacking them!?" The shadow teletubby yelled. "I don't have a reason to, Shadow." Dipsy muttered before turning in the water. He knew the two teletubbies couldn't hear Shadow, it was just an amalgamation of his subconscious, or at least that's what he's been told, either way it was all in his head.
"You don't need a reason! We had a deal!" It shouted at him. The green teletubby furrowed his eyebrows. "I've already held my end of it and you still haven't done yours, I don't need to do shit for you anymore." He growled back.
"Oh? Is that so?" The world around them began to fade into the same void where his first meeting with Shadow had been. He looked down at himself to find that he looked like a normal teletubby again and not the lake monster he had become.
He turned his head to look towards the shadow again, he knew it was a bad idea to turn his back towards it when it was mad. "Have I not brought you away from that vacuum?" Shadow spat.
"It wasn't about me! It was about my siblings, about protecting them! Not myself!" The green teletubby took a step back. "Which siblings? Last I checked you were an only child." Shadow scoffed. "You know exactly who I mean!" Dipsy snapped, holding himself back from attacking the entity.
"Well, family is supposed to look out for each other and love one another, right?" Shadow disappeared into the black fog that seemed to be everywhere except for around them. Dipsy looked around, feeling a little nervous but trying not to let it show to the demonic entity.
"I guess..." He murmured. "And you do everything you can for them, not to mention how much you seem to love them, yet they do nothing for you in return and only think you've made things worse, is that really fair?" Shadow appeared beside him. He flinched back, "Shut up! You don't know what you're talking about!" He hissed through his teeth, the shadow was really starting to make him pissed.
"Really? Then you might as well consider me family, I've done more for you than they have." It stated nonchalantly. Dipsy glared at Shadow, taking a step away. "What? You can't tell me I'm wrong," Shadow stepped closer, putting a clawed hand in his shoulder.
"I've helped you over and over again, I helped you through the mountains, I've helped you with our deal, I've comforted you when you needed to vent your frustrations, I've healed you when you've gotten hurt. What have they ever done for you? That I haven't or can't?" The grip on Dipsy's shoulder tightened, claws digging into his skin.
The green teletubby hissed in pain trying to pull away but being forced in place by Shadow. "No, don't even try to leave, answer me. What have they ever done for you that I haven't?" Its voice began to rise in volume.
Dipsy stayed quiet, mostly out of fear even as he could recall moments with Po that Shadow could never replicate. "Nothing, huh? And don't even try to tell me about those puny moments you've had with Po, something so insignificant doesn't count." Shadow scoffed.
"He doesn't even care about you, he probably doesn't see you as anything more than someone to use for his own gain!" The entity turned around and stepped away from Dipsy. It shook his head. "She." Dipsy corrected with a growl. "Yeah yeah."
"But I think we both know that you're the reason they barely tolerate you. The only thing you do is mess stuff up, you're only good at hurting others." Shadow scoffs as he walks back into the fog. Dipsy's heart stung, he wanted to yell at Shadow, to scream that they're wrong but he knew Shadow would just use it against him so he bit the words back and just stared towards where the entity had disappeared into the foggy void.
"You only hurt the ones you love, no wonder they all hate you... But I don't. I think you're perfect." Shadow's voice was still as strong as before, it was as if they were still standing beside him. "And we both know you still owe me. And I want you to do the one thing you're good at! KILL FOR ME!"
Dipsy snapped back to reality, his hands balled into fists, he felt so much anger and rage at the shadow. He needed to do something about it and all he could see was red as he turned to the two intruding teletubbies from earlier, they still hadn't noticed him. He barely even realized what happened as the virus took over completely.
Once the green infected finally regained his consciousness it was already too late for the two teletubbies. He felt the blood drip down his chin and into the water around him that had become a disgusting brown color from the blood.
He stared down at the two dead teletubbies corpses in silence as they floated in the muddy water. They had been innocent, yet he couldn't stop himself from hurting them. Maybe Shadow was right, the only thing he did was hurt the ones around him.
Notes:
Fun fact of the chapter: Dipsy is adopted.
Chapter 12: Chapter 11 {Far from good}
Notes:
Idk what to say. Uhhh, fun fact of the chapter: I realized that Slendytubbies takes place hundreds of years after humanity so I can technically say anything I want in this au and excuse it with "that's just how it works now" which I think is pretty funny :)
Also more people should definitely do that! if you have an idea you really like but it doesn't fit in canon do something with it either way! Make stuff up, have fun when you write! It's fun to write and often interesting to read. :D
I did not do that in this chapter, however, and that's probably one of the reasons why I don't really like this chapter or enjoyed writing it.
Chapter Text
"What do you mean they're dead!?" Anne stood up. Richard looked away. "We were attacked by a bunch of armless teletubbies and everyone except for me perished. We couldn't do anything, we were outnumbered by a margin." The red teletubby explained.
"I had to hide and once I came back out the only thing left was the corpses of our fallen comrades." He added.
"What!? How could you let this happen!?" Anne snapped at Richard. "I'm sorry, there was nothing I could've done." The red teletubby stared down at the floor with sorrow and what seemed like guilt.
Everyone was staring at Richard except for White. He was still staring at TinkyWinky. "Shit. If Tinky was actually serious about seeing that other 'me' then this could be bad, really fucking bad... No, it couldn't have been that right? Heh, No of course not! TinkyWinky probably just had a normal bad dream. Weird shit like that happens all the time, right?..." The white teletubby thought to himself, he was shaking a little but that was just from the cold, at least he hoped it was.
He was suddenly pulled out of his seat by Lenny. "Wait, Richard! We need to talk to you!" Lenny yelled after the red teletubby. White frowned, he had zoned out huh.
He let himself get pulled away by Lenny but not before throwing a glance back towards the table where TinkyWinky sat. The purple teletubby as well as Miles and Conor were staring after them.
White wished he would've gotten more time to talk with Tinky, why was he even getting pulled along to begin with? It couldn't be that important. He didn't really want to leave the purple teletubby's side at the moment.
He turned his head back forward to see where they were going. Lenny was still trying to drag him forward. "Lenny! I know how to walk!" He snapped at the other. The indigo teletubby let go of his wrist and ran ahead, continuing to yell after Richard.
White groaned and dragged a hand down his face before running after the other. He didn't sign up for this nor did he feel obligated to do it, what were they even gonna do and why did he need to come too? Couldn't Lenny have taken someone else or gone alone?
He wanted to discuss what Gary had told him with Tinky, not run after this other guy. The white teletubby sped up a little, he wasn't exactly catching up with Lenny yet and he didn't want to lose sight of the other either.
As he ran up to the other he began to wonder what Tinky was doing. Whatever the answer, it was definitely better than what he was doing.
-
TinkyWinky stared between the tubbies at the table. Anne was staring down at the table with a frown and furrowed eyebrows, she ran a hand through her hair. He guessed she was thinking hard about something, maybe even planning something? He couldn't tell what if she were.
He looked over to the light blue teletubby who was staring at Anne, he was looking at her with a worried expression.
"What do we do now?" Asked Miles but he did not gain an actual response, just an unsure look from Gary and a murmur from Conor who didn't seem to know either.
TinkyWinky himself felt bad for them, this must be hard, losing their friends like that. He could relate though. He had lost his siblings in a similar way. Just randomly hearing that someone they care about is dead. It felt awful.
"Gary," Anne suddenly spoke which caused Tinky to turn his attention towards the teletubby she had mentioned. "Yeah?" Gary answered. "What happened to Dutch? Why was he with Richard's group?" She demanded an answer, she didn't seem to be taking this all too well.
Gary began to explain how Dutch had gone to check up on the other group once he had gotten back. "Why the fuck would he do that?" Miles asked, his voice sounding confused but with a noticably annoyance.
"Well he didn't want to, w-well, w-watch us s-so he... he went to check on Richard's g-group..." TinkyWinky chimed in, voice growing more unsteady and nervous as the others stared at him.
Miles let out a long, heavy sigh whilst pinching what would be the bridge of his nose if he wasn't wearing a helmet. "Calm down Miles..." The light blue teletubby put a hand on the other teletubby's shoulder.
TinkyWinky looked down at the table for a moment before looking over towards Anne again. "Something about this just doesn't sit right with me..." She explained. "What do you mean?" Conor asked from beside Tinky.
She furrowed her eyebrows and gestured with her hand. "Well, don't you think that if Dutch noticed those zombie teletubbies he'd try to call base? Wouldn't he at least try to contact Miles, I mean, whatever super gear Miles has it clearly hasn't been affected by these shutdowns of our other machines."
TinkyWinky didn't one hundred percent understand as he didn't have all the information but what Anne was saying seemed to make sense. "And he did know what those things looked like... I don't like calling Rich a liar but this is suspicious." Conor adds.
"I don't think he's lying, just not telling the whole truth. He usually does that when he's nervous or trying to save his ass." Miles looks around at the others.
"I know you didn't want to leave anymore today, Miles, but don't you think it's best if we go check? Try to retrieve a body or two?" The pink teletubby pleaded with him.
"Yeah yeah, I'm doing it for Dutch." Miles sighs and looks away from the group. "Thanks." Anne sighs before turning to TinkyWinky. He stared up at her with confusion, what did she want from him? "New guy, we're taking you with us purely as a cover to not look suspicious." She says bluntly. "O-Oh! Okay?" He felt really confused, why would they need a cover?
"Good idea! I'll help cover for you if someone asks." The light blue teletubby looked between Miles and Anne. "Thanks, Ninja." She gave him a quick hug before standing up.
"What about you two?" Miles turned his head towards Gary and Conor. "I've got paperwork and I don't doubt I'll have to be Richard's therapist when you're out." The silver teletubby explained, Miles gave him a thumbs up before turning to Gary.
"I'm staying in the lab probably the whole day, maybe even over night, feel free to come by when you get back!" Gary grinned. Over night? Tinky felt like that was excessive, doesn't the orange teletubby need to sleep?
"The whole night? Don't you need to sleep?" He questioned the other. "Pff, don't worry about it! I drank 5 cups of coffee! I won't be able to sleep for three days!" Gary explained playfully. "At least it wasn't weed this time." Miles whispered to Ninja who let out a snort.
"Alright, if that's settled then let's go before dusk comes. We don't want to be out there in the middle of the night with whatever those things we met at the Satellite Station were, in the dark." Anne stood up and turned to TinkyWinky. "I hope you're not afraid of flying."
TinkyWinky shook his head even though he really didn't know. He had never flown before but it couldn't be that bad.
Miles stood up as well, letting out a small groan as he did. "You act like you're old." Anne turned to the green teletubby. "Oh fuck off." Miles said back fondly. Even though they seemed happy, Tinky couldn't shake off the pain and sadness that seemed to fill the room either way.
Conor tapped Tinky's shoulder. "Huh?" He looked at the other. "Those two are very strong willed and rarely listen to opposing suggestions of what they themselves suggested, especially Miles. But if you feel like they're doing the wrong thing then tell Anne." The silver teletubby explained to him, Conor sounded tired which made Tinky guess he probably had some experience with trying to argue against the two teletubbies. "Will do." He answered and gave the other a soft smile.
"Alright, kiddo, let's go." Miles told him. "I'm not a kid?" TinkyWinky stood up and followed the two. He felt a little confused at being called 'kiddo', does he look that young? "Sorry, it's just nice that somebody younger than me is here. I won't call you that if you don't want me to." The green teletubby sighed and turned around to face him. "Don't walk backwards, you'll fall or walk into a building. Anne glared at Miles. He knew better than to argue so he turned back around.
"I'm okay with it! It's just not a nickname I'm used to." He smiled at the green teletubby. Nicknames were usually reserved for friends, right? Does that mean they're friends? He hoped they were, but maybe it was still a little early for that.
The trio approached a helicopter. "You're flying, Anne." Miles told the pink teletubby. "I know." She answered before going to grab the key. The two remaining teletubbies stood in awkward silence as they waited for Anne.
She came back a minute later holding a keychain that held three keys in it. "Alright, let's go."

Chapter Text
TinkyWinky gripped the seat holding onto it tightly, not because he was scared of flying but because Anne wasn't exactly the best pilot. He had already thought they were gonna crash five different times, and apparently they weren't even halfway there.
He looked over at Miles who had his head turned away from him. He seemed lost in thought. "Um... Not to be mean but maybe Anne shouldn't fly this thing?" He asked, voice shaking with fear.
"Well she's more qualified than me, and there wasn't really another choice." Miles answered back, he almost sounded bored. TinkyWinky frowned. "You call this qualified!?" He screeched. "She got a lesson from Dutch once." The green teletubby shrugged. "What!? Why is she piloting this thing then!?" Tinky didn't know how much experience you'd actually need to fly a helicopter but he guessed one lesson wasn't enough to learn it.
Anne suddenly cleared her throat. "I can hear you two you know!" She yelled back at them, but she didn't seem to actually take offense. The purple teletubby immediately felt guilty and remembered all those three or so times NooNoo had actually tried to teach them to treat others the way they themselves wanted to be treated. He thought about how he'd feel if someone called him bad at something he was trying to learn, it didn't feel good.
"I'm sorry!" He yelled back apologetically to Anne. "It's alright, dude!" She let out a laugh, finding Tinky's apology cute. "We're almost there! At least that's what Finn's tracker is saying!"
Tinky's ears instantly shot up again. "Finn's what?" He asked, feeling shocked. "Yup, Richard's a paranoid fucker and-" She began before being interrupted by Miles. "Could we please not talk about Richard right now?" He sighed putting his face in his hands.
"Um... okay?" Anne seemed concerned. Miles' comment just added more to Tinky's confusion. Why did Miles want to end the conversation so abruptly when Richard was mentioned? Something told TinkyWinky that he'd probably never get an answer.
They flew in silence for a while longer, every minute feeling like an hour. Tinky felt surprisingly embarrassed even though he hadn't done anything. Anne finally spoke up. "Alright y'all, we are here and we're about to land, I just wanna warn that landing is the thing I'm worst at so I suggest you hold onto something as there is a 45% chance we crash and die!" The pink teletubby announced affectionately.
TinkyWinky immediately gripped onto the seat tightly and even Miles seemed to tense up as they touched the ground a little too hard for comfort. "Hello everyone, this is your captain speaking, we have landed by the old fortress, and without crashing!" Anne called back proudly before turning the vehicle off. "Finally!" Miles groaned and stood up.
The pink and green teletubbies got out of the helicopter before TinkyWinky called out to them. "Hey, um... Could I maybe stay here?" He looked away from them as he continued. "I-I don't really do blood too well, nor dead bodies...." Tinky explained, a picture of Dipsy's decapitated corpse was still burned into his memory.
He tried to think of something else, that something being the moment he shared with White at the satellite station, where he had what he could only assume was a panic attack.
Anne looked at him with a soft almost confused smile and Miles stared at him, though it was hard to make out his expression underneath the helmet. The green teletubby turned to Anne. "We should've brought the white fucker." He murmured before turning back to Tinky. "Yeah sure, whatever. Stay here, if anyone calls answer it." Miles dismissed before he decided to turn around and walk towards the fortress.
Anne gave Tinky a concerned look before following Miles. TinkyWinky watched them until they were out of sight before sighing and looking away. "Well, at least now I have time to think." He told himself.
White sat in Richard's office with Lenny beside him, the indigo teletubby was info dumping onto Richard, or maybe he wasn't, White stopped listening about thirty seconds into the conversation.
He was staring out the window, looking at the cloud filled sky. It gave him a sense of nostalgia, from a time where he was nothing more than a tiddlytubby. The comforting feeling was almost instantly dwarfed by discomfort at certain memories, very bad ones.
A sudden chill went up his spine. He whipped his head around and caught Richard's gaze for just a moment before the red teletubby looked back at Lenny. "Well that's strange... Why's the guy looking at me?" The white teletubby thought to himself.
His focus was swiftly put onto Richard yet again as the tubby began to speak. "Well, I suppose we'll have to inform the others about this, but as of right now I'd like to be alone for a bit." Richard's focus seemed to be solely on Lenny.
Lenny's face turned a slightly redder shade out of embarrassment. "Oh! Yeah, of course, Rich! Eheh. We'll be out in a moment!" The indigo teletubby gave an awkward chuckle and quickly stood up.
White himself was promptly pulled out of his chair and dragged out of the room. Once Lenny had shut the door his expression promptly fell from the awkward smile he had worn before.
"Did I overdo it?" White raised an eyebrow at the other. "What?" He added, tilting his head in confusion. The indigo teletubby sighed and turned his head to him. "Did I overdo it? Like, he didn't seem to care about what I was saying! I-I don't know what to do! This is important and- and he isn't even listening!"
White let the other vent his frustrations whilst his own mind began to wander. "So he's insecure and not to mention that he's just handing out personal information like it's candy on Halloween!" White could feel a small smile tug at his lips before catching himself.
"Wait! White what are you thinking!? That's not what a nice person would do... Just reassure him or something..." He sighed before putting a hand on Lenny's shoulder, this caused the indigo teletubby to stop rambling and turn his attention to the teletubby beside him.
"Lenny I'm sure he understands and cares, but the guy just went through something traumatic, let him rest instead of crushing him with everything else. Plus, you're a well respected tubby, right? Then you can take care of it too, no reason to involve Richard." The words came naturally to him for once, maybe that wasn't a good idea though, he hadn't gone over what was best to say, what would make him the most likable. Maybe he'd say something wrong.
But instead of appearing mad Lenny just gave a small laugh, "I suppose you're right.... But, the problem is that I need Richard's approval to do basically anything! Not to mention that half the base only follows orders if they're spoken by HIM.... It's infuriating honestly... But, there is nothing I can do about it." The indigo teletubby turned away before sighing and looking back.
"I'll try though. Thanks, White. I suppose.... I... I need to get going though." He gave a final awkward looking smile combined with a small wave before leaving down the hallway.
White watched him leave. Did he say the right thing? Either way, he should probably not take the risk again. Everything always went to shit whenever he had done it before after all.
