    The Dalish elves warn their children to stay clear of humans. Likewise, the alienages are spoken of as cursed, forbidden places no true elf should ever lay eyes on.

    At just fourteen - too young even to have earned her vallaslin - Arishara Shaeri's curiosity got the better of her. She slipped into Denerim, desperate to meet her city-dwelling cousins, only to find their home overrun by Tevinter slavers. Like so many others, she was shipped off long before the Warden arrived to liberate the elves.

    Years later, through the murder of her Magister, Arishara escaped Tevinter. Hunted for her crime, and knowing that capture would mean death, she fled to Kirkwall.

    And Kirkwall - if nothing else - had plenty of space for the lost, the damaged, and the wanted.
