Summary:

A drabble about Jack having PTSD from his death

Notes:

this is my 2012th fic so here's a fic based on a 2012 movie. as we get more and more modern, i recognize more and more movies, but this was the first year in this project where i actually had a hard time picking. just to name a few, the amazing spider-man, the perks of being a wallflower, and pitch perfect also came out that year. however, i've written about both of those a fair bit so i figured i'd give rise a go considering that this movie does have a soft spot in my heart (despite the fact that it's uhhhhhhhhhhh kinda bad lol)

Work Text:

Sometimes, Jack found himself back in the lake, struggling for air as his body temperature dropped rapidly.

It would take one of the other Guardians holding his hands and bringing him back to reality to calm him down in these moments.

He was just grateful he had such a caring new family.
