Chapter Text
What to expect:
System (A lot of people don't like them, if you're one of them, I'm warning you. If you don't like them but still come to my comments and say that it ruins the story, well, I politely invite you to go fuck yourself.)
Incest (Don't pretend you're not a degenerate who didn't read the tags and relationships.)
Weak to Strong.
Smut ("Oh, I see. You're a pervert! Me too!")
Paul Greyrat Bashing (Well, I don't like him.)
Magic/Ability from other Anime/Comics.
Underage Sex (I'm going to go easy on this, at least 13 years old, although that's still pretty early in our world, in Mushoku Tensei it's 2 years before your 3rd birthday, when you're considered an adult, it's a bit of a medieval time.)
Well, that happened.
As I walked peacefully back home with my college friends, the last thing I expected to happen was for a giant meteor to crash into my city.
Normally I would find such a situation hilarious, but it wasn't funny at all when my skin started to burn and my lungs filled with air so hot it was as if I was inhaling fire.
It was a matter of seconds, but they were very agonizing seconds as I burned and heard the screams of the people around me in the same situation, I'm sure one of those screams was my own voice. Before the meteor even hit the ground I was already dead from the extreme heat.
Now, what should I do in this white void?
My perception of time got a little confused when I arrived at this place after being burned to death, but enough time had passed so that I wasn't still in shock over what had happened.
Actually, after everything, I actually found it a little funny. A meteor, seriously? That was some Uchiha Madara's bullshit out of nowhere. I think I understand what the Allied Shinobi Forces felt when they saw such nonsense.
After the shock, came the anguish.
I died.
Although I didn't start crying my eyes out, my life wasn't horrible, but it wasn't exactly good either.
It started out complicated when I was born. My father was one of those who went to buy cigarettes and never came back, my mother didn't deal with it very well so I ended up in an orphanage.
The orphanage had low income, and there weren't many visitors looking to adopt one of us.
I started working early, balancing it with my studies.
I wouldn't say I was too bad at academics growing up, I had a good head on my shoulders and I tried really hard.
Too much, I would say.
My whole life I studied and worked at the same time, working during the day and going to college at night.
It was very tiring. Many times when I was going to read something, play a game, or watch something, I would end up falling asleep from exhaustion.
I still had some fun, some friends I went out with sometimes, sex here and there with some cool girl.
I never had a serious relationship, a serious girlfriend requires free time to pass and develop. I planned to settle down with someone in the future when I graduated and my life was less chaotic and tiring, but ironically, I didn't have the time.
In short, my life was boring, exhausting and empty. It doesn't mean I wanted to die though, and much less in such a painful way.
Now, all that-
"Number 118.423.936.054, Thomas Wells, age 21." A robotic and monotonous voice sounded through the eternally whitened void. I confess that this coming out of nowhere scared the hell out of me when I jumped in the chair I had been sitting in since I got here.
Then, as if reality had been overwritten, my surroundings transformed.
This looked very much like a high-class office. Very cozy, perfectly air-conditioned, and calming. It almost made me want to work when I was in a room like this. I was also now in a really soft chair, it felt like I was sitting on a cloud.
I was a little amazed as I looked around with a small, astonished smile. This was all so fascinating. Completely out of step with the normality of the world.
It felt like magic.
"Not entirely incorrect, I suppose, although everything you've experienced so far is more related to Divinity than standard Magical Power, but for the nature of a world like yours, I believe it to be equally fantastic." Said the person behind the desk, right in front of me, with a deep voice, but with a soft timbre. I had already seen him, but well, I was somewhat shocked by everything around me.
He was also quite striking, a very attractive guy, I'm not gay, but I have eyes and a fully functioning mind, so I can see and accept when a guy is handsome. He was tall, like, really tall, even sitting down he looked like he could be something like 3 meters. Straight brown hair cut short to his ears, purple eyes, and a perfectly symmetrical face.
"Well, I appreciate the compliment." He said in a cheerful voice.
"...Can you read my mind?" It was already pretty obvious, but I wanted to be sure. "Are you god or something?"
"Indeed, for both. Although I'm not the god you know from the Abrahamic religions of your world, well, he also exists, but he's one of the bosses of another kind of sector, he manages the logistics of life." He replied.
I blinked.
So God exists? Jesus Christ and such? But not only them but other gods too? Zeus, Odin, Shiva, and others?
"Certainly. They have their worlds to manage, but multiversal travel abilities are one thing, and now and then some reincarnator ends up making a mistake they shouldn't." His tone became a little frustrated and he pressed his fingers between his eyes with a sigh. "When this happened a few millennia ago it was an administrative nightmare."
This was all very... inconceivable, very extraordinary. Gods, afterlife management. But I suppose I'm not in a dream or a nightmare, it was all very vivid. And I don't think my subconscious would imagine something like that for me to dream about even if I was on heavy hallucinogenic drugs.
The god snorted.
"You seem pretty unfazed actually, I've seen a few who freaked out and some even tried to attack me or something." He said.
"Well, the whole day was pretty crazy. And I had a lot of time to think when I was in that white void. Although I don't mean to disrespect in any way, Sir." I replied adding the ending a little quickly. This person in front of me was a god, the fact that he could read my mind already said something.
The god chuckled.
"Calm down Thomas, it's okay, and there's no need to be too formal. My name is Zevarn, one of the Gods of Reincarnation." He replied softly.
"Reincarnation." I frowned a little in thought. He had already mentioned this a little while ago about a reincarnated person who did some multiversion shit.
"Yes, a somewhat well-known trope in your current era. The fact that it is a subject of fictional stories in your world was the latest of the 'shit' done by one of the reincarnators. It was an even bigger mess, but in a way, it ended up giving more publicity to our sector, and at this point, it has happened enough times that we have a standard procedure to resolve things." He said with a wry smile. "It is indeed what you already know, you die, have some wishes, and move on to the next life in another world. And I am the God who will grant you those wishes."
Again, something too extraordinary to be true.
The corner of my lips lifted in an excited smile.
But this is far more interesting than my boring life, and even if it is a crazy dream, despite my skepticism, if it is indeed an illusion at some point I would wake up and be simply upset.
And if it is real, something truly incredible is in my future.
"That is a rather intriguing way of thinking, and I wish you luck in your future journey."
"Then I thank you in advance for the opportunity, Lord Zevarn." I smiled politely at the kind god.
In response, he gave a pleasant laugh.
"There are not many who thank us, after all, in a way this is our job. But you are welcome, young Thomas." He leaned his arms on the table. "Now, the meteor that fell on your city has resulted in a monumental amount of humans to be attended to, so if there is nothing else you wish to ask, we must proceed with your wishes."
"Of course. I have no doubts about reincarnation itself, only about the wishes." I replied, sitting up straight in the chair while resting my elbows on the armrests.
"Go ahead." He gestured with his hand.
"Any limitations?"
"We can't grant you Divinity, nor any powers of conceptual manipulation. Depending on what you ask for with your wishes, in the future, you may be able to develop or acquire both on your own, but we can't grant them to you directly."
"I see, less limiting than I imagined actually."
Zevarn smiled.
"Actually, when one of you manages to ascend to Divinity, it's a cause for celebration. It means more workforce depending on your Divine Domain."
I frowned. "Does becoming a God mean getting a job?"
Zevarn laughed. "Yes and no. You don't think this form you're talking to is my original form, do you?" He asked with a mischievous smile.
Ooh, I see.
"Good to know. I'll do my best to meet your expectations then." I smile back. "How many wishes do I have?"
"Three."
"Dragon Ball standard, huh?"
"One of our people once attended to a human while he was taking on the form of Shenlong. The guy freaked out and Serythar made sure to record it and show us. It gave us a good laugh."
I let out a surprised laugh. That would be quite a sight, seeing Shenlong in your face after you die.
After thinking about my wishes for a bit, I came to a decision.
"Just one thing, the world I will be reincarnated to, do I have a choice outside of my wishes or would it be random?"
Zevarn gave me a satisfied look and clasped his hands together, crossing his fingers.
"If you do not specifically wish for how and where you will be reincarnated, then the choice will be made randomly for you."
I nodded.
"Then, for my first wish, I want to be reincarnated as Rudeus Greyrat in the fictional world of Mushoku Tensei." I wasn't sure if that would be possible, after all, it is a fictional world.
"Yes, it is possible, and as you wish, it shall be done." Zevarn replied and then typed a bit on the computer on his desk.
I imagine this is some super divine notebook where the information of the reincarnated is cataloged.
"Indeed, it helps us identify each reincarnator. We have eidetic memory, but it helps a bit with logistics and documentation. We have a psychic connection with these computers. A warning, remember when I mentioned the reincarnators who did 'shit'?"
I nodded.
"Your previous world is known as the Prime World. If you have any ability to travel multiversally, you are not exactly forbidden from returning there. But there is a law that prohibits the use of 'supernatural' powers under the eyes of a normal human, including recordings. If you do something like that, there will be consequences, do you understand?" He explained to me, asking with a very serious expression.
"I understand."
"Good. I apologize for the sudden seriousness, but this has already caused us some problems and the less it happens, the better."
"It's okay." I dismissed calmly, understanding the situation.
Though I was a little surprised he didn't judge my somewhat perverted world choice, being a god and all.
Zevarn snorted. "Thomas, I'm not a Purity God. I have a harem of over 120 women. And I frequently engage in sexual activity with all of them."
I raised my eyebrows, 120? Damn, respect bro.
Zevarn chuckled.
"Well, for my second wish, I want to have a system, that removes my human limitations and increases my overall progress, both in stats and skills." That one I might have cheated a bit, in a way it would be several in one.
"Clever, although in your era it's quite popular, those who wish for a system are the ones who have the best chance of ascending to Godhood. And don't worry, it can be done, technically it's still a single skill." He started typing again before saying without taking his eyes off the screen. "The functionality and design of the system will be done according to your own conception, okay?"
Better yet. "Okay."
"Right, next and last."
"I want a skill that can create other skills."
"Another excellent choice, although not many people make it, and combined with the system, you have incredible potential for the future." He said as he typed.
"Well, that's all set. Is there anything else you want to ask or say?"
"Nah, it's up to me now. I just want to thank you again for the opportunity and good service."
"Again, you're welcome. I hope to see you in a few years among my fellow Divines." He replied pleasantly with a smile.
I smiled back, stood up from my chair, and held out my hand to shake Zevarn's.
He stood up too, I suppose out of politeness since he didn't need to, being in fact about 3 meters tall as I guessed, he bowed a little due to my inferior height and shook my hand back.
"Good luck with the next ones, I know how customer service can suck."
Zevarn chuckled. "Thanks, I might need it. Good luck on your journey too, your world isn't even close to the most difficult, but it does have some threats."
And then, as if a flashbang had gone off, let there be light.
Let me know what you think, English isn't my first language. But I'm doing this as a hobby.
In the next chapter I'll introduce the system and Rudeus's initial situation. It may take a while for the story to stray from the canon.
Chapter 2: Chapter 2
Chapter Text
After my farewell to Zevarn with that flash of light, I felt weird.
It's hard to describe, but it was like I was very, very sensitive, my eyelids felt glued together as I reflexively tried to open my eyes. I also felt weak, much weaker, with little control over myself in general. The environment around me felt very... oppressive. I guess that's how an ant feels around a human, I suppose.
Of course, the cause of all this discomfort is the fact that I'm a baby now.
Honestly, what I imagined it would be like to be a baby again is not even close to this.
After a few tries, I managed to open my eyes, and the light that assaulted my eyes made me close them again.
Damn, that stings.
After a few more tries, I managed to keep my eyes open without feeling like my eyes were being burned by a flashbang straight to my face.
And after a few more seconds, my previously blurry vision began to focus on the ceiling made of dark brown wood.
Anime logic is bullshit. A normal human baby only develops clear vision a few months after birth.
Not that I'm complaining, if I spent most of the months of my first year with baby cataracts I would probably freak out.
Feeling large hands holding me by the torso, I moved my head slightly and my vision focused on a muscular man with a strong and attractive face, with light brown sandy hair, part of it cut short, framing his face, while the rest was tied in a long ponytail that fell above his shoulder, emerald green eyes and a mole near his left eye.
Behind him, breathing heavily and a flush of exertion coloring her cheeks, stood a woman of stunning beauty, even in her exhausted state. She has long, light blonde hair that is worn loose with two chin-length strands that frame each side of her face, the eyes were closed at the time, but I know she had a pair of very beautiful sapphire blue eyes, despite the cloak that covered her, her chest had a cleavage that showed a little of the large breasts she had.
"Zevaiah bazalfben kifu zivaikah kwav!" The man said with a very excited voice and expression as he looked between me and the woman behind him who was panting.
Paul and Zenith Greyrat. My parents in this new life.
"Bukay aiha naiboo!" Paul continued talking as he held me, a somewhat stupid bald spot starting to form on his face as he brought me closer to him and kissed me on the forehead.
No homo man, I'm not gay.
"Zenith, tipen, eyuji, tawka paihail kwa." He said as he carried me into the arms of a tired-looking Zenith, but with a dazzling smile as she looked at me with a look of adoration. A bright glow with a few drops of sweat glistened on her face from the effort of labor.
Holding me with her arms a little below the height of my breasts, she looked at me with a look of extreme affection and love.
Inappropriate, sure, but I can understand the original Rudeus when Zenith's breasts caught his attention here. They're a really big and beautiful pair.
That aside, her gaze caught my attention more.
Was this the sparkle of love in a mother's eyes? It seems so pure and intense. I've longed for someone to give me a look like that for so long, especially when I was a lonely child. The caretakers at the orphanage did their best, but it's not the same. There were so many children, and there was no one to give me their undivided attention.
Come to think of it, it might be a little weird from now on.
I have the consciousness of a young adult, and Zenith is currently about the same age as I was when I died.
I'll dance to the music, I suppose. A problem for the future to deal with, there's no point in dwelling on it too much now.
"Evun on. Nora iv aihen kap." She said in a soft, melodious voice, as she smiled fondly at me.
I can't understand a single thing you guys are saying, but I can get the general idea, I'm a cute baby, and you're all so happy and all.
I already know the first skill I'll need to develop. I could learn the language on my own, but it would be too boring and waste a lot of time.
Seeing a hint of red in the corner of my vision, I moved my head slightly to the side.
A woman as beautiful as Zenith was standing there looking at me. Reddish-brown hair tied in a half bun, chest-length strands of hair resting on both sides of her shoulders, purple-violet eyes behind oval-shaped glasses, and a very slender and voluptuous body with very large breasts. She was wearing a standard maid outfit.
Lilia was really a beauty, the maid's appearance only made everything better.
She had a somewhat monotonous but tense expression as she looked at me.
I made sure to be careful not to let my thoughts reflect in my expressions. Does she think I'm as strange as Rudeus was when she first met him?
Oh, well, babies are supposed to cry when they're born to help expand their lungs and start breathing air, right? Maybe she's worried that I'm not crying, thinking I might have been stillborn. I seem to remember reading something about the original Rudeus only being able to reincarnate into this baby because he was stillborn.
Becoming a little more aware of my breathing, I put some deliberate effort into inhaling and exhaling air using my toothless mouth. Man, that's weird, I want to get teeth soon.
Well, apparently there's nothing wrong with my breathing. And it seemed that seeing my chest rise and fall more visibly without any problems eased the internal tension Lilia was having as she briefly closed her eyes and let out a silent sigh, the shoulders sagged a little in relief. A benign smile soon appeared on her lips, and the violet gaze that fixed me with it shone with a little joy.
The lack of monotonous expression and that small happy smile only further enhanced this maid's beauty.
Okay, from here on out, a new journey begins for me. A new and much more fantastic life ahead of me.
But that doesn't mean I can just relax and be unconcerned.
I have 10 years until the Teleportation Incident, and with my wishes, that should be more than enough time to prepare myself. Now I have what I always wanted, a family, although it's strange for now, they are people who will dedicate themselves and love me. Eventually, I will genuinely grow fond of them, not just admire them.
And I won't lose that to the mana disaster that is about to happen in the future.
Come to think about it, would the fact that I was reincarnated in the original Rudeus' place change anything about the Incident? We'll see, I guess. I will try to prepare as best I can, regardless.
As I looked at Paul's face making silly, goofy expressions, and Zenith still smiling affectionately at me, my eyelids began to feel heavy.
This is a newborn body, okay, I foresee a lot of... naps in my near future.
Can I create... a sleep resistance skill?
But would that affect... my growth or... something? Sleep is necessary... for development.
Well..., things to... check... in the... future.
=- [Third Person POV] -=
It was a cold night in Buenna Village - a small village located in the vast plains north of the Fittoa Region in the Asura Kingdom, the human kingdom that currently holds the greatest national power in the world - and in a modest yet cozy home, a young couple, Zenith and Paul Greyrat, hugged each other side by side as they watched their newborn son, Rudeus Greyrat.
Paul is a skilled and talented swordsman, being an Advanced Rank in the three main schools of swordsmanship - Sword God Style, Water God Style and North God Style -, and a lewd man who has attracted and slept with many women. He was originally a Noble, born into the Notos branch of the Greyrat Family, but due to conflicts with his father, Amarant Notos Greyrat, he decided to abandon his house and abandon the Notos name to become an adventurer.
From there, he formed a party called Fangs of the Black Wolf, composed of six members, including himself.
Some time later, he married one of his teammates, Zenith, the woman currently at his side. Soon after, Paul and Zenith left the group to settle in Buenna Village, where Paul was assigned as a knight overseeing the village's production and the extermination of monsters that roamed the nearby forest.
Zenith—originally also born as a Noble in the Holy Country of Millis, the second most powerful kingdom after the Asura Kingdom, as the second daughter of a Count of Millis—grew up following the religion of the Church of Millis, never breaking the rules, and she reached the Intermediate Rank of Healing Magic in the noble school of Millis. However, when Zenith reached the age of 15, she rebelled against her parents and ran away from home, thus abandoning the path of nobility upon learning of a marriage arranged for her by her parents.
While trying to find work as a healer, she was a solo adventurer for a time. However, due to her lack of knowledge about the high cost of healers, she was often scammed out of large sums of money and even used as a human shield against monsters, but she was later saved by Paul Greyrat. She then joined Paul's group, the Fangs of the Black Wolf, as a healer.
She spent a long time in the group as a healer and gradually began to fall in love with Paul and wanted to marry him. However, Paul was a womanizer who often slept with multiple women and she did not want to be with someone like that, so she told him that if he promised to be faithful to her, she would sleep with him, to which he agreed.
"He's so cute, isn't he?" Zenith expressed out loud in a contented and soft voice as she snuggled into Paul, both covered in a blanket to fend off the chill of the night.
She couldn't stop looking at the little baby sleeping in the bed, wrapped in a blanket.
She thought he was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. He had a mop of light blond hair, inherited from her, and his eyes were Paul's, an emerald green, but they seemed even brighter than her husband's.
Her baby, her son, her little Rudy. She was so nervous about being a mother, so insecure, so scared. It was a huge responsibility that she had now, to care for and nurture this life that had been developing inside her for nine months.
But in that moment, as she looked at the little baby who aroused so much love and adoration in her heart, it was all worth it, for what had already happened and for what was yet to come.
"He is, and he's going to grow up to be a strong boy, just like his father." Paul replied, also looking at his son, pulling Zenith closer.
Paul also had some fears about being a dad. Due to the fight he had with his own father in the past, he wonders how he will fare now as a father himself.
He hopes to at least be better to his son than his father was to him. He is excited to be able to teach his son swordsmanship in a few years.
With the use of Healing Magic, Zenith was already much more recovered from the birthing process, she and Paul were now resting after giving Rudeus a warm bath with the help of Lilia, the family's maid who had already gone to sleep after the stressful night.
"How about we work on making another one, a girl this time?" Paul suggested with a charming smile as he began to caress Zenith's voluptuous body with the arm that was wrapped around her.
Zenith with an embarrassed expression, looked away from her son to look at her husband. "D-Darling, we just had Rudy, don't you thin-"
Paul interrupted her with a kiss. Soon the two were engaged in couple activities.
=- [Rudeus's POV] -=
After a good nap, I woke up incredibly hungry, as if I'd been fasting for about two days.
It makes sense that babies are eating and shitting machines in their early years if that's how they feel, and I imagine all this hunger is probably due to the body needing more nutrients for physical and hormonal growth.
Okay, now, how can I say, 'Mommy, I'm hungry, please let me suck your boobs'? My larynx isn't yet developed to speak properly beyond baby babble, and even if it were, I don't understand the language. And besides, I'd rather not be sacrificed to the fire for knowing how to speak at 1 day old or something; I'll be weird enough in the future.
But apparently there's no need to worry so much; a baby's instincts seem to be very strong, especially when you are hungry. So, despite my embarrassment, I started crying loudly.
Soon, Zenith arrived in the room with Lilia, and my new blonde mother picked me up with a somewhat urgent and frightened expression.
With Lilia's help, Zenith realized I was crying because I was hungry, and then she sat on the bed in the room and opened her blouse, exposing her breasts so I could feed on her breast milk.
As I sucked her pink nipple with my toothless mouth and drank her milk, all I could think of were two things.
It's funny how good food tastes when you're so hungry, and how wonderful anime physics are.
My mother, Zenith, has large breasts, perfectly round and perky, yet still very soft, with only a slight sag that indicates they were natural and not silicone.
I've slept with some busty girls; very few have this level of mouth-watering aesthetic perfection. The bustier the girl, the greater the likelihood of sagging caused by the damn gravity.
There are ways to avoid sagging, of course, but some guys have fetishes for flabby girls, but I'll pass, thank you very much.
I soon finished my meal, feeling my belly full and my hunger satisfied. And I couldn't help but admire those breasts again as Zenith rebuttoned her shirt.
Two full, firm globes, her skin was smooth and flawless like porcelain. The two small, pink nipples that crowned her boobs were hard, with traces of milk from my feeding dripping from them.
It's so strange that I admire feminine attributes but feel no sexual desire.
But I assume it's normal; my body hasn't yet developed the hormones necessary for me to feel sexual arousal.
Patting me on the head and kissing me, my mother left the room with the red-haired maid to continue her daily chores.
Okay, stomach full and with nothing else to do, now it's time to analyze my cheating skills.
The general knowledge of my skills has already been automatically downloaded into my brain along with my reincarnation.
'Status'
Rudeus Greyrat
Age - 1 Day
Race - Human (Improved)
Level - 1 [0%]
HP - 100%
Mana - 10/10
Strenght: 0.1
Resistance: 0.1
Speed: 0.1
Intelligence: 26
Spirit: 30
Dude, that was so cool. Seeing a rectangular hologram gently appear in front of me, something that only happens in anime and manga, was quite thrilling.
Anyway, focus. The general knowledge downloaded into my brain also encompassed the meaning of each thing on my status screen.
Age was obvious, although one particularity is that some things can cause me to experience accelerated growth, so the Age stat will track this. If I happen to grow the equivalent of 4 days in 1, my status screen will reflect that, so this not only accounts for the passage of time I've existed, but also the physical age of my body.
Race, well, my species. The Improved seems to be because my 'limits' as a regular Human from my old world were removed and the fact that I now possess Mana.
Level adds 1 point to all my stats every time I level up, and I gain EXP not only by killing or defeating other living creatures. Physical training can also give me EXP, but killing is still the greatest source of EXP I can have, and simply defeating someone without killing only gives 50% of the total EXP.
HP is pretty obvious. Health Points, if it reaches 0%, it's Game Over. I prefer HP as a percentage rather than quantified units like mana. My HP regeneration is 5% per hour.
And Mana, well, my mana pool, the total amount of magical energy I have. If it reaches 0, I faint from magical exhaustion.
Now, my mana growth is interesting. Generally, in games, the total amount of mana is influenced by INT or MAG stats. Here, my Intelligence and Spirit stats only influence my mana growth. Increasing the amount of mana itself is done by spending and regenerating mana, like a muscle, which is how the original Rudeus expanded his mana to a massive amount.
I've read some fanfiction that uses this type of mechanic for magical energy growth; I've seen it most often in Harry Potter stories. Personally, I like it.
And my natural mana regeneration is 10% per hour.
Anyway, next are the stats.
My physical stats; Strength, Resistance, and Speed are all at 0.1. This is obviously because I'm a baby. I can't even lift a stone, if a wind hits me I'll fall, and I can't even walk yet.
The average physical stat is 1. But that doesn't mean an average person is only 10 times stronger, more resilient, and faster than I.
The growth effect of stats is exponential. The higher the value of a stat, the greater its effect than the previous point.
If, for example, my Strength increases from 2 to 3, and that gives me 10kg more strength, raising it from 3 to 4 would increase 13kg instead of the previous 10kg. And so on, until a single point added to my Strength stat would give me thousands of kilograms of strength.
And all my stats have this exponential growth effect.
Strength, obviously, quantifies my overall strength; lifting strength, punching strength, blocking strength, pushing strength, pulling strength, grappling strength, etc.
Resistance quantifies my body's toughness, the amount of damage I can withstand. If something physical hits me, my Resistance determines how much damage my body takes and how many HP are taken from me, depending on the power of the attack hitting me compared to my Resistance. Theoretically, if I have enough Resistance, bullets from my old world would not affect me; depending on the force of the projectile and my Resistance, I would be bulletproof. It also determines my stamina, how much I can continue exercising my body until physical exhaustion.
Speed quantifies my speed. General physical speed, movement speed, running speed, reflexes, perception speed, etc. Logically, my Strength would also influence Speed, but right now I'm working on game and anime logic, so fuck it, at some point I'll start moving and fighting at supersonic speeds.
Now, the other stats: Intelligence and Spirit.
Intelligence doesn't affect my total Mana, but rather a 'bonus' to its growth. If I normally spent and recovered my 10/10 Mana, and had a total growth rate of 20/20, my Intelligence would provide a bonus to this growth. Basically, my talent.
Intelligence also increases the strength of my memory, since I don't have something like Eidetic Memory, at least not yet. It also improves my information processing and analysis, and general learning. So theoretically, the higher my Intelligence, the faster my Skills level up.
Now, Spirit is different. It also has an impact on my Mana growth, although less so than Intelligence. But Spirit influences things like my Willpower or something similar more. It's more related to the strength of my soul.
Overall, I'm quite satisfied with my Status screen. It's exactly what I wanted, created and shaped based on my desire just as Zevarn said.
This system will also speed up my progress. If I do strength training and someone else who doesn't have this system does the same training, my strength growth would be much greater and faster.
Now I need to check another aspect of my system along with my last wish.
'Skills'
「Gamer's Mind (Passive)」- Level Máx
Gamer's Mind is a skill inherent to the Gamer System's Host. The skill's function is based on defense against external intrusions and relief from negative emotional overload in critical moments.
Beings that possess a power level beyond 2-C: Multi-Universe of the Omniversal Power Tier with telepathic powers can bypass the Gamer's Mind's defenses and access the Host's mind, however if the Host reaches a sufficient power level, the Gamer's Mind's defense will be upgraded to higher levels.
「Gamer's Body (Passive)」- Level Máx
Gamer's Body is a skill inherent to the Gamer System's Host. The skill's operation is based on resizing the Host's existence and physiology according to the rules of a game. General physical, mental, and energetic aspects are quantified in a numerical unit displayed on the 'Status' screen. The Host's body also becomes exceptionally more adaptable than normal.
Sleeping for at least 6 hours restores the body to peak condition, removing minor debuffs and restoring HP and Mana to their maximum capacity. (The minimum sleep time is subject to change depending on various factors.)
Gamer's Body also significantly increases the Host's HP and Mana regeneration compared to a normal Human.
「Skill Creation (Active)」- Level Máx
Skill Creation is a Unique Skill granted to the Host as one of their wishes by the Reincarnation God Zevarn.
The Skill is based on the creation of other Skills for the Host without the need for initial learning. The basic initial knowledge of the Skill is downloaded into the Host's memories, but the development and mastery of the Skill is the Host's responsibility.
The Skill limitations are: The creation of the Skills desired is based on the Host's Stats, depending on the functionality and potency of the Skill. The more powerful and complex the Skill to be created, the higher the Stat requirement for its creation. Skills that require a specific genetic code, which the Host does not possess for activation, can be created if the statistical conditions are met, but cannot be used if the Host does not have the necessary genetic code.
Okay, a little beyond what I imagined, especially the standard Gamer Skills.
Regarding Gamer's Mind, it's good to know I won't be a robot driven purely by logic all the time, and I can still feel negative emotions, but they're suppressed in risky situations. And I hope I don't encounter anyone above 2-C anytime soon.
I remember that kind of power scale; my Gamer's Mind has a pretty high limit. I don't think even the Hitogami can bypass my Gamer's Mind's defenses. And that's saying something.
I can't even properly comprehend someone with a level of strength of that magnitude.
Gamer's Body was already expected, but the fact that I can reduce the minimum sleep required to restore my condition is interesting. I already have some ideas on how to optimize this. And the adaptation, while not nearly as much bullshit as Mahoraga, will be very useful.
Now, most importantly, the Skill that will help me the most in my growth;
Skill Creation.
A Skill that allows me to create any other Skill I want without needing to learn it first.
Honestly, I thought there would be more limitations, like a cooldown before I could use it again, or certain Skills that couldn't be created, like powers that encompass Conceptual Manipulation that Zevarn couldn't grant me through wishes. But apparently, it all depends on my own power.
Although I didn't even think about the genetic code thing when I made the wish.
From the information downloaded into my brain, it seems I can't use Skills that have a certain racial requirement.
An example, from my interpretation, would be like Super Saiyan. I could even create the Skill to transform into a Super Saiyan, but I wouldn't be able to actually transform because I don't have the necessary Saiyan cells.
Although Super Saiyan itself is a transformation, it seems my System could convert it into a Skill; it seems to consider it a form of self-induced temporary genetic mutation.
Another example would be the Sharingan. Although in Naruto, this damn eye is like a piece of clothing that all kinds of characters put on and take off all the time, including non-Uchiha characters like Kakashi, the eye itself is considered enough genetic material for people not originally Uchiha to be able to utilize the Sharingan's abilities. Although partially and at a much higher cost than someone of Uchiha descent.
However, abilities like the Power of Destruction from the anime High School DxD; Basara and Jin Toujou's Banishing Shift from the anime Testament of Sister New Devil; or even Innate Techniques from Jujutsu Kaisen can be created through my Skill Creation, and I can use them without the need for a genetic code.
Although Satoru Gojo's Six Eyes doesn't fit into this category.
The reason for this is that Super Saiyan, the Sharingan, and Six Eyes are biological abilities that require a certain amount of integrated DNA to be used. Meanwhile, the Power of Destruction, Banishing Shift, and Innate Techniques are energy manipulation abilities that were at some point integrated into the genetics of a "Clan" to provide intuitive use.
Or something like that, since, for example, there are devils from the Bael Clan who didn't inherit the Power of Destruction, like Sairaorg.
But I'm not going to cry about it. The Skill doesn't say I can't use these types of Skills. It says I can't use them without the necessary genetic code. And I might be able to create a Multiversal Travel Skill in the future.
Do I want to become some kind of universal Ichigo?
Hell yes, I fucking want to.
Hello! Yes, this is still ongoing. This chapter was supposed to come out much earlier, but a combination of a drunken party, a busy week at work, and a lack of writing time delayed the chapter considerably.
But here's Chapter 2.
A few things happened. The MC reacting to his new family along with the hot redheaded maid. A little overview of Paul and Zenith for those who don't know a bit about their past. And the MC exploring his new abilities.
I'm still trying to improve my writing as things go, so don't judge me too much.
The MC won't have Rudeus's conventional appearance; he has short, light blond hair instead of Paul's sandy light-brown. He still has green eyes, though, just more vibrant.
Imagine an Arthur Pendragon, or something like that. I wanted to put a reference image here, but I don't know how (I found out lmao. The reference images are just below).
Now, Mommy Zenith and the hot redheaded maid will be part of the MC's harem, but so will Aisha and Norn (we're all perverts here, friend; you read the tags, and if you didn't, it's not my fault). Which means that even after Rudeus's birth, Paul will continue sleeping with Zenith, and will eventually sleep with Lilia one time. I won't write any lemon scenes about this; knowing it's going to happen is already disgusting enough, but my excuse is that until Paul is cut off from this family, the MC won't pursue a romantic or sexual relationship with Zenith and Lilia, so it's not considered NTR in my mind.
NTR is a trash fetish.
Another thing is, system screens will appear frequently; I warned about this in Chapter 1 and will warn you again here.
And multiversal travel will be a thing in the future; I'll add the tags eventually.
Besides, I don't know if it was clear, but the MC in the future will be a kind of absurd chimera, of several different types of lineages.
Anyway, what did you think of the chapter? How was the grammar? And the MC's monologues? Too formal? Too fast or too slow? Lots of English mistakes? I think I forgot to mention this before, but English isn't my first language, I don't even consider it a second language, since I use a translator to write, and only then do I proofread it by reading it in English for possible errors.
