“Furin has decided to open up to receive women for the first time since we were funded,” said Umemija with a big smile.
Hiragi looked annoyed and ready to punch the leader of Bofurin “are you crazy? How many girls do you know that enjoy “talking” with their fists?” Asked him to take four pills of omeprazole in one go “I will tell you… 0… nada… no one”
“I have four girls,” said Ume with a wide smile “so that’s a nice start, isn’t it?”
“Oh for fuck sake…!!!” Sighed Hiragi “tell me about them”
“First we have Nobara Kugisaki, she is a truly badass, she defeated a bunch of bullies to protect her best friend, she’s an expert in MMA” he showed him a photo.
“She looks like Kotoha” said Hiragi.
“I know right?!” Uma laughed “next we have Maki Zen’in and she’s an expert in kung-fu and she can also use weapons like swords and knives” added Ume with a big smile “of course she can’t use them but it’s a cool fact! Her twin sister didn’t want to come because she hates to fight”
“I understand that, she’s a normal girl” at that moment Tsubaki walked in and hit his head “HEY!!”
“Don’t be stupid… Not because a girl likes to fight and another doesn’t, it doesn’t mean she is normal or not” he sighed annoyed.
Ume just laughed with glee “Tsubaki is right” he added “the third is a special request… She used to be at my orphanage but she was adopted by a powerful family in Kyoto. Her name is Aoi Gojo”
“Gojo as in Satoru Gojo?” Asked Hiragi in shock.
“Yes. Aoi knows about my plan because I told her and she also helped the people until she left at twelve” said Ume looking down and Tsubaki felt like her heart was stabbed by a dagger “but she is back and I’m happy to have my best friend here again” he smiled “she practiced MMA and some boxing and she was able to land a punch on Satoru Gojo”
Tsubaki and Hiragi were surprised and Ume laughed “that’s her biggest achievement… now… the last one is a girl called Yuki Kanroyi, she’s part of the boxing amateur team of her town and might even go to the Olympics”
“That’s amazing and I’m impressed by that” said Hiragi “I will trust you on this, Umemiya” he said, looking at him “and if it didn’t work I will punch your face”
The white-haired man laughed “I couldn’t expect less from you”
After the other kings arrived, they and Umemiya organized the classes and who would be in their groups.
Meanwhile at the city a new boy with a white and black hair and with eyes of different colors was walking down the street, he was wearing Furin’s uniform very proudly when he noticed a guy with light pink hair on top of his head and the rest shaved who was wearing the uniform as well.
He thought with a smirk “perfect! My first rival from Furin” he was about to jump in a fight when the pink haired boy ran in a dark alley “crap… Did he see me?!” He ran behind him when he saw this guy kicking a man who was attacking a girl. Sakura joined in when he noticed a guy trying to attack behind the pink haired guy.
They engaged in a fight with four other guys until they had to run away, both kids were untouched while the other five were all beaten up “umm are you ok?” Asked the other boy to help her pick up her stuff.
“Yeah, thank you and you too… thank you” he was like looking around while the pink-haired smiled “I’m thanking you” she said.
This made him blush “it’s not like I did it on purpose…” she smirked a little noting how he was blushing and feeling awkward, then she asked them “are you hungry?”
“Nah…” both of them said but their stomach growled at the same time which made her smirked more and they both blushed.
“Let’s go tough guys” she lead them to the Cafe Ponthos “by the way my name is Kotoha Tachibana”
“My name is Yuji Itadori,” said the pink-haired guy.
“Haruko Sakura” said the other boy.
They smiled and walked in the cafe and she cooked them rice omelette and coffee. Yuji sat next to him “and why did you decide to join Furin?”
“None of your business,” said Sakura, annoyed.
“Oh come on, Sakura” said Kotoha but the way she said it made Sakura blushed and huffed.
“I want to reach the top of Furin” Yuji and Kotoha looked surprised “what about you?” He said, looking at Yuji.
“Well… I want to protect as much people as I can” said Yuji, blushing “those were my grandpa’s last words”
“That’s a big duty” she said “but I think it’s a great thing to do and Furin is a great place to do it” then she looked at Sakura “about you, Sakura. You won’t reach that objective” she said serious and when he was about to fight back she continued “because you are alone and you won’t reach to the top alone”
Sakura finished his food and left the restaurant fuming meanwhile Itadori wanted to follow him but Kotoha stopped him “I know it sound hard but I know for a fact that’s the most important thing”
Itadori nodded unsure. He walked out of the restaurant following Sakura and he noticed a bunch of guys were coming at them with bats.
“I want revenge!!” And his guys started to destroy the food stands which led to Sakura and Itadori to fight together.
Yuji was strong and could handle a bunch of guys. Sakura noticed that his fists hit twice which made the punch more powerful.
His kicks didn’t have the same effect but they were still powerful. And they fought with a lot of guys and left them unconscious but there were more than they could handle and Kotoha walked out when they didn’t return.
A guy, cowardly, held her “d…don’t move or I’ll hurt her…” but he didn’t see Sakura kicking him and stood in front of her.
“Itadori…” he said, calling someone else’s name like it was a friend was strange but he felt he could help fight “let’s protect her” Itadori nodded and they started to fight and Sakura was protecting her, blocking attackers with his body.
He was wondering why he was protecting her, why he kept playing the hero? He was never a hero, nor he cared about others, but seeing this girl in danger, seeing Itadori launched to fight with him without a second thought, forced him to be this person, the one who fights for others.
A guy on the floor cut Sakura’s ankle, Yuji heard it and kicked the guy in the face, sending him away.
Suddenly four guys from Furin appeared and jumped in the fight.
“Are you two first year students?” Asked Hiragi to them, they nodded “good job keeping them from destroying more of the neighbors’ belongings, you...” Said, pointing at Yuji “keep fighting the guys at the left, my lieutenants will face the guys on the right and me and Kaji” said, pointing at the guy with headphones “will finish the ones in the middle, last you...” He said, pointing at Sakura “thanks for protecting her. You are hurt so you stay there”
“But I can fight...” He tried to move but the cut area was hurting him.
“No, you can't. Stay here” he said in a tone that left Sakura frozen. He had a commanding voice that stopped him in track. He just nodded and the fight continued until all the guys from the rival’s gang were on the ground.
Then Hiragi said louder “Anyone past this point who causes pain, who brings destruction, who holds evil in their heart, will be purged by Bofurin without exception” causing all the people around them to cheer with glee and fire in their eyes, Sakura felt overwhelmed by the atmosphere.
The people started to praise and took care of the wounds on the kids faces or knuckles “oh my you are hurt, kid” said an old lady checking Sakura's ankle and he panicked.
“No...no... I...I'm ok” he tried to move his foot away but Kotoha stopped him.
“Here, the Furin students are the heroes of the town. They protect us and in gratitude we took care of their wounds or gave them a special treatment” she said, taking care of his cut and Sakura could feel the warmth of someone taking care of him instead of hurting.
He had mixed feelings, he wasn't sure what he was feeling because he never felt accepted, all those people were praising him for fighting?
He started to run away wondering what was this feeling, he jumped over the other guys and hit in the face with a kick the leader of the gang.
Whatever this feeling was, he liked it and he will try his best to discover what it is.
