"So this is the cell you've imprisoned Eren in to keep an eye him" Zeke says looking around measuring the length and width and overall dimensions of this place.
A dungeon, out of every place, they've had decided to put Eren, a titan shifter who had barely found out how to use his power in a dungeon.. Now Zeke is sure there's no limit to the Corps' idiocies.
"If he transformed into a titan he'd send this whole tour toppling over and get every resident killed. Do you know how dumb this idea was" Zeke says
Levi scrowls at him
"Don't worry I'm not going to transform. I know Eren is resting above and he hasn't recovered yet, I wouldn't want to harm him" Zeke adds nonchalantly
Fuck, he should tell Hange that they need to move him somewhere else
"How do you know, who told you" Levi asks him
"Your soldiers are quite chatty I guess they couldn't resist my charm" Zeke chuckles
"You said you wouldn't want to harm Eren. What do you mean by that"
"Eren's well being is my utmost priority. No offense, but i don't have the luxury to give a fuck about you all" Zeke says
"You've been avoiding hurting Eren. This is not like Reiner or Bertholt they didn't hesitate to amputate Eren so they could kidnap him. Four years ago, you could've taken Eren and the colossal titan but you've chosen to rescue Reiner"
Zeke remembers when he was going to leave for Paradis, Colt had said he'd work hard and when Zeke would comeback he'd be worthy to inherit his Beast Titan. Gabi had interjected pushing Falco out of her way saying that she'd get Reiner's titan, she was adamant on believing that her cousin will comeback. Zeke thought he could give them four years, he'd always had a soft spot for kids. He sighs.
"Okay time to go, keep an eye on those troublemakers" Zeke tells Colt with a wink, he hoped they wouldn't drive Colt crazy in the meantime, it reminds Zeke of when all the warriors were reunited back then in the backyard and he had to put up with Reiner and Porcco's incessant fighting.
"Take care. I'll be waiting for you" Colt had smiled.
He will delay it, he won't connect with Eren until his last year comes.
"Yes, indeed. And now Eren's friend is the new colossal titan but that didn't stop him from following the plan and destroying Marley's port" Zeke says
Does he mean..
"Don't fuck with me, Armin would never betray us"
"No, he won't" it's not like he wants to involve and deceive that guy to reach Eren
"If you want to know that badly then I guess you'll have to wait for Eren to wake up" Zeke tells as he looks down at him
So nosy. You might regret it.
Zeke remembers a person from his past who did the same thing...
It's better to not get involved in family matters.
Levi looks at him for a moment before he turns away leaving through the door.
And just like that he turned the tide in his favor making the other forget his previous incessant questions by outwitting and outmaneuvering his arguments.
Have a strategic advantage, defeat them through cleverness, anticipate their moves, understand their weaknesses. Aim for your goal, don't stop no matter what.
If Levi thinks he can stop Zeke or even get out some information then he's greatly mistaken.
There is still a month until the awaited day, he'll come. He promised Yelena.
Oh this interrogatory is going to be boring for him
"Couldn't they find someone more capable of it" Zeke sighs, he stretches.
He can't wait to get out of here.
Zeke doesn't know about Eren but he is absolutely not staying incarcerated in this shabby edifice for the meantime.
Zeke smiles. He should annoy that little captain a bit more by asking for a book alongside the cases of wine.
Levi stomped through the hallways, he pushed the door the loud sound resonates as it slammed against the wall. Hage jumped out of their skin.
"Fuck. Hange we need to move him somewhere else" Levi spat
"Huh?" Hange's head tilted in a confusion
