Work Text:
Kim Doyoung finds Gryffindor’s Golden Boy, Jung Jaehyun, extremely insufferable, annoying, cocky, and plain out rude. Unlike everyone else, his inflated ego irritates Doyoung to the core and he doesn’t quite understand the appeal to Jaehyun at all, besides his maybe-above-average face and the cheesy, dimpled smile that makes Doyoung throw up.
And maybe his given talent and athleticism when he plays quidditch. And maybe the fact that even with his busy schedule, he somehow manages to get A’s all across the board and attend to every prefect duty he has. And Doyoung being the most intelligent boy in Ravenclaw has them butting heads ninety nine percent of the time.
But other than all those things listed, Doyoung finds not one thing attractive about Jaehyun. Not when Jaehyun quite literally harasses him all the time. Jaehyun loves teasing Doyoung any chance he gets. It’s the stupid little kiss Jaehyun blows to him during quidditch games that has rumors stirring around their relationship.
Doyoung was quick to deny him, because anyone who knows Doyoung would know that he would rather jump off a cliff butt-naked before falling for Jaehyun’s antics. He wouldn’t date Jaehyun if he was the last man in the world. And now he’s showing up to Doyoung’s study group for the lower years when he knows he doesn’t need any outside help at all.
They’re in the library, sitting at a table with a group of sixth years. Jaehyun, being the insufferable prick he is, of course rushed to get the seat next to Doyoung’s right when the session began. It annoyed Doyoung to the core. He has absolutely no reason to attend this study group. Even the other students are confused. He doesn’t need any help! Everyone is aware that he’s somehow the smartest boy in Gryffindor! And to piss Doyoung off even more, he dares to ask him a question about the work. Doyoung fights the urge to not yell at Jaehyun right at this moment.
“But I can’t figure out the answer to number five, Doyoung,” Jaehyun asks tauntingly, a playful look on his face. Fuckass smirk, Doyoung thinks. It’s a question on a potion named the Calming Draught, and he knows Jaehyun is messing around with him considering the fact they did a project on that exact potion last year in Professor Lee’s class. He also remembers Jaehyun getting a point above Doyoung's score. The gryffindor didn’t let him live it down. For months, he brought up that damn point in every single argument.
Doyoung sucks his teeth and forces a tight, obviously fake, smile on his face. Every student around them is pretending to not feel the tension.
“Are you absolutely sure? You checked through all the material already?” Doyoung replies with a faux sweet tone. He pushes up his glasses, unable to hold back a sigh when Jaehyun answers him.
“I promise I did. I wouldn’t lie to you, Doie,” Jaehyun smiles, dimples popping out. He‘s flipping through pages of the book. The nickname used has Doyoung fuming. He is seriously one eye roll away from choking him. That’s the only action that would give him satisfaction.
“I remember being very clear about telling you to not call me that, or am I mistaken?” Doyoung frowns.
“Hm… I do remember as well, quite clearly. You were annoyed as much,” Jaehyun chuckles. There’s that damn smile that Doyoung loathes. “I swear I could see the steam coming out of your ears. I can’t help it though, Doie is too cute of a nickname. Don’t you agree?”
Doyoung is about to go off on him when one of the sixth years from Gryffindor house— Mark, coughs awkwardly. He mutters timidly, afraid to increase the tension between the two prefects, “Doyoung, I hate to interrupt, but can you help me understand the question on Murtlap Essence?”
“Hm? Oh, yes… I can,” Doyoung responds. He squints his eyes angrily at Jaehyun, who’s smiling innocently at him, before focusing his attention on Mark. He feels useful because of his job. He enjoys actually helping students who need it, unlike Jaehyun, who definitely has better things to do and certainly does not need any help on any topic. He’s there for the pure reason of being a thorn in Doyoung’s life.
Doyoung ends the study session half an hour later. He bids his goodbyes to Mark and the other sixth years, and apologizes for Jaehyun disturbing their session. They just nod and assure him it was entertaining, which Doyoung decides not to comment on. He has no idea why anyone would find him and Jaehyun bickering entertaining. He’s packing his school books into his backpack when Jaehyun finds the audacity to speak to him from behind.
“I have to say, Doyoung. You sounded so smart explaining the potion to Mark. I think I almost fell in love right there and then,” Jaehyun compliments, but it’s more like an insult in Doyoung’s perspective, a playful grin haunting his face. Doyoung wants to slap that smile right off his stupid, handsome face. “No wonder they call you the smartest boy in Ravenclaw. But then again, they also call you the most hard-headed and prude. Personally, I don’t think that’s true though.”
Doyoung scoffs in disbelief. It was Jaehyun who started the stupid name calling. He’s not hard-headed, nor a prude (although his best friend, Taeyong, says otherwise). He wants to kill Jaehyun so bad. “Do you have any purpose to be here besides annoying me? Actually, do you even have any purpose in life besides annoying me? You know you don’t need the help, so why bother?”
“Because,” Jaehyun shrugs and pats his head. His casualness infuriates Doyoung. “You look so cute when you’re all riled up.”
Doyoung grimaces and pushes his hand away. “You repulse me, Jaehyun.”
“So I’ve heard,” Jaehyun winks before he starts to walk away from the seething Doyoung. He smiles even wider before shouting, “Same time tomorrow?”
“Don’t even think about showing up, Jung!” Doyoung shouts back, stomping his foot, and Jaehyun swears he could see Doyoung’s face turning into an angry, red tomato. It’s endearing to Jaehyun in a way. That cute little red face is a sight Jaehyun wants to see everyday.
✦
“I hate him!” Doyoung groans, laying down on his bed. He’s changed into cute bunny pajamas that his friend, Jungwoo from Hufflepuff, gifted to him for Christmas. It was originally supposed to be a joke on Doyoung’s apparent bunny features, but it turned out to fit him snugly. His black cat, Darcy, is sitting comfortably in his lap, purring.
Taeyong, his best friend who he is rooming with, is focused on his drawing at his desk and not so much on Doyoung’s ranting. Doyoung continues ranting, “I literally hate him so much. Like anger is bubbling out of my chest that’s how much I hate him. If he died tomorrow, I promise you I would not care.”
“Now… that’s a little harsh, Doyoung,” Taeyong snorts, putting his pencil down. He turns around to face him. “I don’t get what’s so bad anyway. You have the cutest guy at Hogwarts sucking up to you everyday. Pretty sure anybody in the Jaehyun fan club would kill to be in your spot.”
“They tried, remember?” Doyoung shivers at the thought of it. Those crazy fan girls almost killed him. Darcy meows, seeming to remember it as well. Doyoung pets her head softly in return. “They hexed me the day those stupid relationship rumors started…”
Doyoung himself recalls that day very well. Jaehyun’s “fan club” played nasty pranks on him, all because they had believed Doyoung was dating Jaehyun. They had him sneezing sardines out for a week and cursed him with the infamous tickling hex that caused him to giggle every five minutes throughout the whole day. Yes, Jaehyun had a field day with that information, and didn’t let Doyoung live that down for weeks. But of course, he was the one to tell them off and defend Doyoung. He rolls his eyes at the memory.
“Who even believes that bullshit? In what world would me and Jaehyun ever be together?”
“Would you kill me if I said this one?” Taeyong jokes. “I mean, just hear me out. Stubborn, stick up his ass, prude Kim Doyoung dating Hogwarts’ Golden Boy with the handsome smile Jung Jaehyun. A moment for the history books, that is. I can envision it already.”
That’s when Jungwoo walks in with a bag of chips he bought from his trip to Hogsmeade a couple days ago. Doyoung would question why and how Jungwoo from Hufflepuff is in the Ravenclaw dorm room when the other prefects are on patrol— but then he remembers, Jungwoo’s pretty hard to say “no” to with those sparkling eyes.
“Are you guys talking about Doyoung’s fat crush on Jaehyun?” He smiles ever so casually like it’s a true fact. Doyoung gasps incredulously and immediately denies that sentence. Jungwoo continues, “It’s quite obvious you like him, Doie,” (When did Jungwoo start using that nickname too?) “I think you should just give him a chance!”
“I don’t like him. I despise his guts. He’s not even that good looking either,” Doyoung mumbles petulantly. Jungwoo pouts. “And he doesn’t actually like me. He purposely tries to piss me off everyday.”
“Are you serious? That man is smitten and it’s so apparent,” Jungwoo comments as he tilts his head in disbelief. It was obvious to everybody but Doyoung. He pops another chip in his mouth. “He literally flirts with you everyday. You know he’s missed quidditch practice just to go to your study group… And he’s the captain!”
“Okay… so what you're saying is that he hates me so much, he misses his own duties to annoy me during my study sessions, which he is not welcome in!” Doyoung scoffs. Darcy meows in agreement, rubbing herself against Doyoung’s stomach. “Even if he did like me, I would never date him. Like ever.”
“We’ll see about that,” Taeyong giggles and kisses Doyoung on the cheek before changing into his pajamas. “Sweet dreams, Doyoung.”
Jungwoo decides to go back to his own dorm room, apparently planning to have a movie night with his own dorm mates. Doyoung takes off his glasses and stares at the ceiling, lost in his thoughts. Him and Jaehyun together? The idea of it sounds preposterous. Someone like Jaehyun would never be with someone like Doyoung.
Jaehyun is called the life of the party. Everyone always wants to be around him and he radiates such a positive energy. And who can resist that dimpled smile? Doyoung is the complete opposite in every single aspect. Most lower years try not to get on Doyoung’s bad side because he’s pissy when he’s upset. They all call him a prude just because he doesn’t wanna stick his tongue down someone’s mouth at every house party— unlike Jaehyun.
Jaehyun has a reputation of being a ‘playboy’, as cliché as it sounds. He dates around. Both boys and girls— and the house doesn’t matter. He’ll literally date anyone he finds attractive. And he’s seen kissing at least one person at every Gryffindor house party.
Doyoung’s not anything special to Jaehyun and he knows that. Jaehyun flirts with anything that’s living and breathing. That’s just the kind of guy he is. Doyoung starts to get irritated when he thinks of it. Why does Jaehyun have to be so stupidly charismatic? And who the hell blessed him with that handsome face?
He looks through his backpack, looking for the case for his glasses. Instead he finds a flimsy piece of note paper, crumpled up. It would never be Doyoung’s— he’s too organized to throw pieces of paper into his backpack. He opens the note up and recognizes the handwriting right away.
Was gonna tell you to smile more, but your angry face is too cute. Keep frowning, Doie :)
— Jaehyun
Doyoung screams into his pillow. Darcy meows worriedly.
✦
When Doyoung wakes up, he hears the birds chirping and the cold breeze touching his skin. Light shines through his navy blue curtains. He can hear Darcy purring at the end of his bed, sleeping peacefully. That’s a sign of a great day. He heads to the Great Hall to enjoy some breakfast a little earlier before everyone comes.
There’s a few students already eating breakfast, and the peacefulness calms Doyoung. On top of that, the food is exceptionally delicious today. Yet, Jaehyun somehow finds a way to pester him on this beautiful Tuesday morning.
”Doyoung!” He hears a shout from behind him. No. Just no. He closes his eyes and pretends to not hear Jaehyun’s aggravating voice calling out his name on this beautiful Tuesday morning. Nope. Not happening.
“Kim Doyoung!” Jaehyun tries again. Doyoung sighs and looks over at Jaehyun who’s walking towards him. He has that damn smile once again. His hair is perfectly straight on top of his eyebrows, almost touching his eyelashes. Doyoung never noticed until now but his hair is a perfect color of brown. It’s just slightly lighter than a typical brunette. It makes him look even more attractive. It’s nauseating. Jaehyun decides to sit right across from Doyoung at the table.
“Good morning, Doie,” Jaehyun greets him with a smile. And there he is, with that silly nickname. “Nice morning, isn’t it? You look so handsome today. Is that a new tie?”
“I’m begging you to shut up,” Doyoung frowns, chewing his food. He looks exactly like an angry bunny when he eats. Jaehyun finds the view so, so adorable. He looks down at his tie. It’s the same tie Doyoung wears everyday. “…And no, it isn’t.”
“I was wondering, are you coming to my quidditch game later today?” Jaehyun asks curiously. His chin is resting at the heart of his palm and his ears are burning red. “It’s Gryffindor against Ravenclaw. But you’ll be rooting for me, right?”
“It’s funny that you think I’d even come to a quidditch game in the first place,” Doyoung snorts. He only ever attends the games if it’s required of his prefect duty. He’s never been into sports that much, far too focused on his studies. “Even if I did, I would not be cheering for you.”
“But why,” Jaehyun blinks. Doyoung rolls his eyes. “I’m the best player on that field. You know that too. Everyone’s going to be cheering for me. Watch it.”
“How humble you are,” Doyoung replies flatly. ”I’d love to watch it, but as I’ve already told you, I’m not attending.”
Jaehyun chuckles and starts eating off Doyoung’s plate. Doyoung can smell the scent of wet grass on his robes. He can assume Jaehyun had just come back from quidditch practice. Did he even wash his hands? Doyoung doesn’t have it in him to argue with Jaehyun at eight A.M in the morning, and decides to send him a dirty look instead. He slaps Jaehyun’s hand away.
“Don’t touch my food.”
“Please, Doyoung? I don’t play well if you’re not at my games. I train really hard and it’s all to impress you,” Jaehyun pouts cutely and looks into Doyoung’s eyes. Lord, it’s horrible and repulsing. To make things worse, it’s working on Doyoung.
He snaps out of it and goes back to his cold state. He will not be going soft for Jaehyun's pleading face, no matter how convincing and charming he might be. Jaehyun pleads, “Just think about it, okay? It’ll be worth your time, I promise.”
Doyoung hums absentmindedly in response. He’s definitely not going. He barely renders Jaehyun pulling something out of his pocket. It’s a small bundle of lilies, enchanted to stay alive and fresh forever in perfect form. It even has a small bow like a mini bouquet. Doyoung blinks when Jaehyun holds it in front of his face.
“Almost forgot. Wouldn’t be a good morning without a little gift, am I right?” Jaehyun grins. His ears are extremely red. Doyoung reluctantly grabs the mini bouquet of flowers. “I spent an hour picking these flowers out from the courtyard. They’re almost as beautiful as you.”
“Do you ever quit?” Doyoung asks blankly. He truly just wanted to enjoy the quiet breakfast. No distractions, no drama, and especially no Jaehyun. But Jaehyun finds a way to be in Doyoung’s business every time.
“I’ll never quit, Kim Doyoung,” Jaehyun whispers before heading off to his first class. Doyoung slides the bundle of flowers into his bag, careful not to ruin it.
✦
Doyoung promises he only came to this stupid quidditch game because Taeyong has those eyes that carry the whole world in them— and it’s too hard to say “no”. He begged Doyoung the whole day, saying “it’s gonna be fun!” In reality, he was there for one reason, which was to drool over the Gryffindor’s Beater, Johnny Suh. Not slick at all, Taeyong. Not slick. He’s even repping Gryffindor with the red and gold face paint under his eyes.
“You do realize you’re a Ravenclaw, right?” Doyoung mutters in disgust. Doyoung himself has the colors of Ravenclaw on his face, courtesy of Kun, the Ravenclaw in charge of the school newspaper. Doyoung mumbles to Taeyong, ”Traitor.”
Taeyong gasps, offended. “Merlin forbid I cheer for my favorite player… and he just happens to be on Gryffindor.”
“You’ve gone on three dates with him, max. Remember who you represent, Ravenclaw,” Doyoung scolds, pointing at his face paint. Taeyong pouts cutely, swaying his body. Taeyong cheers loudly when Johnny scores a goal. Does he notice that Ravenclaw is losing?
In Doyoung’s eight years at Hogwarts, he’s been to very few quidditch games. He’s a homebody, and the loudness at the games disturb his peace (and overstimulates him). In addition, he doesn’t get the appeal of watching sweaty teenage boys throwing balls and bludgers at each other on brooms. But when he sees Jaehyun… he understands it a little bit.
Jaehyun carries confidence and charisma in everything he does. The way he runs his hand through the strands of his hair, the way his eyebrows furrow when he’s chasing after the ball, and the smile he makes when he scores makes something flutter in Doyoung’s stomach. He thinks it’s hatred, and it’s not a great feeling to experience.
Unfortunately, the inevitable has happened and Jaehyun finally notices Doyoung in the stands. To make it worse, they lock eyes immediately as well. Jaehyun flashes him a bright smile, deep dimples to accompany it and waves directly at him. “Damn smile,” Doyoung grumbles under his breath and ignores Jaehyun. The gryffindor chuckles at the reaction.
Doyoung swears Jaehyun started showing off ever since he realized he was watching in the stands. He’s playing rougher, throwing back bludgers and scoring back to back. He has a cheesy smile on his face during all of this. Doyoung rolls his eyes at the cockiness and watches as everyone around claps for him.
“He’s good, huh?” Taeyong grins, nudging Doyoung. Doyoung glances at him.
“Who?” He quirks his eyebrow up.
“Jaehyun of course,” Taeyong replies.
Doyoung snorts. “He’s a show-off, that’s what he is.”
To no one’s surprise, Gryffindor wins over Ravenclaw. Taeyong’s cheering for their loss, the students around him start to give him weird looks. Johnny flies into the stands and drops his broom when he lands to empty his hands. He pulls Taeyong by the waist and kisses him in front of the whole school— the whole moment coming right out of a cheesy, high school romcom. Students around start to cheer and clap. Doyoung tries his best not to throw up all over the seats.
Everyone begins to leave the stands, including Doyoung. He yawns, feeling drained out from all the cheering and screaming. It’s fall season, so Doyoung has a blue and black plaid scarf to keep himself warm. He’s planning on heading to the Ravenclaw common room to snack on pumpkin pasties.
When he reaches the bottom of the stands, he sees Jung Jaehyun, in all his glory, waiting for him. His hair is drenched with sweat— it’s honestly disgusting. What’s even more disgusting is that he still looks handsome as ever.
“You came,” is the first thing Jaehyun says when they meet. He has a teasing smile on his face, like he was confident that Doyoung was going to come.
“It was out of obligation for Taeyong, not for you,” Doyoung states nonchalantly. “You seem to have a lot of fan girls.”
“You jealous?” Jaehyun teases.
“You’re hilarious,” Doyoung responds sarcastically. “They scream very loudly for you. I didn’t realize you were so popular.”
“Is that right?” Jaehyun asks curiously, a taunting tone in his voice. He walks closer towards Doyoung, broom in his arms. They’re standing face to face now. Doyoung’s pretending his face isn’t burning right now. “I could make you scream too.”
“You’re absolutely disgusting, Jung,” Doyoung gasps incredulously, hits his chest and grimaces right after. “You honestly sicken me. Sicken!”
“So I’ve heard. Tell me, did I play well? Did I look good while scoring too?”
“I don’t know. I wasn’t paying attention,” Doyoung rolls his eyes. It’s silent for a few moments and Doyoung feels himself shiver. It’s ridiculously cloudy and cold outside, how does Jaehyun play in this weather? And how does he look so good after playing an ugly game for half an hour? He has so many unanswered questions.
“Are you coming to the party in the Gryffindor common room tonight? We’re celebrating our win,” Jaehyun smiles cheekily. He speaks a bit lower, “And they’ve snuck in alcohol.”
”You’re a horrible prefect, did you know that? You’re supposed to set an example, Jung,” Doyoung sighs and shrugs. “And why would I go celebrate Gryffindor’s win when my house lost? I’d be betraying my house.”
“Because I’ll be there of course. And don’t act like you’ve never drank before,” Jaehyun pulls him in with one hand by the waist. Doyoung blinks and blushes, panicking on what to do. He leans in and whispers in his ear, “You were so clingy that night, Doie.”
“Oh shut up,” Doyoung frowns and looks away, embarrassed. Jaehyun coos playfully. It was a weak moment for him back in sixth year. Doyoung had attended his first house party and had gotten drunk for the first time ever. Unfortunately, it was Jaehyun he ran into and took care of him that night.
“I’ll see you later, yeah?” Jaehyun smiles knowingly, pulling his hand away from Doyoung’s waist. He waves goodbye and walks off to the locker room. Doyoung takes a breath of relief. He will not be going to that house party— he has better things to do.
✦
Doyoung folded.
“It was the alcohol that made me wanna come,” Doyoung whispers under his breath, trying to convince himself. It definitely wasn’t Jaehyun that swayed his mind. Definitely not. He snaps out of it and looks around to see if he can find any of his friends around. He’s currently alone, occupying the empty space next to the table of drinks.
He sees Taeyong first. He’s busy eating Johnny’s face over in the corner. Oh great. Then his eyes move to Jungwoo, who’s talking to not one, but two Gryffindor boys, and at the same time. How greedy. And then he realizes that he has no friends, because why is he only able to find two people he recognizes in a room full of people? He sighs and chugs down the beer in his hands.
“Areyou feeling alright?” Jaehyun chuckles worriedly, watching as Doyoung nervously chugs down his drink. Doyoung didn’t notice Jaehyun walking up from behind him. “I’m surprised you came.”
Doyoung groans at the comment. He’s not drunk, but he wishes he was so he wouldn’t be conscious of this conversation with Jaehyun. “Trust me, so am I.”
“Awh, did my Doie wanna see me?” Jaehyun teases, leaning in. He doesn’t sound nor look drunk, and he certainly isn’t acting like he is either.
“Don’t call me that,” Doyoung mutters.
“Why not? You love it,” Jaehyun hums, leaning his body over near Doyoung’s.
“I’ve literally never said that, like not once,” Doyoung deadpans. He is about to grab another beer when Jaehyun stops him, hand softly wrapping around his wrist.
He speaks placatingly, “Hey, slow down on the drinks.”
“That was my first one,” Doyoung frowns.
“Okay… just… don’t chug it. You don’t want a repeat of last time now,” Jaehyun bantered, sipping his beer. Doyoung rolls his eyes, and he thinks if he rolls his eyes one more time, they’ll get stuck at the back of his skull. “Albeit, drunk Doyoung was pretty cute.”
“Well, you, Jung Jaehyun, whether sober or drunk, are pretty insufferable. I’m sure you’ve heard it all before,” Doyoung grumbles in response. He has an annoyed look on his face, his eyebrows furrowing. Jaehyun smiles at the reaction. His ears are a dark shade of red. He scoots closer next to Doyoung.
”You only remind me about fifty times a day,” Jaehyun grins. He points out a feature on Doyoung’s face, “You have a mole right under your eye.”
“Stop staring at me, you creep,” Doyoung looks away from him.
“Then stop being so pretty.”
Doyoung snorts and glances back over at Jaehyun, who’s staring into his soul. “You’re really something else, Jaehyun.”
“Yeah?” The gryffindor smiles in response, eyes staring at every feature blessed on Doyoung’s face. “I love when you call me Jaehyun for once, and not Jung.”
Doyoung blinks. He didn’t register himself referring to Jaehyun by his first name. It slipped off the tongue so casually, which was odd considering Jung was the usual name. Also, when did Jaehyun get so close to him? Their arms are practically touching each other at this point. Doyoung would move away, but he’s not exactly uncomfortable with the slight sign of physical touch. And to make it even worse, he’s in his perfectly right mind.
Jaehyun reaches his hand out, placing his palm on Doyoung’s cheek subtly. For some unknown reason that Doyoung cannot name, he doesn’t stop him. In fact, he just stares right back into Jaehyun’s eyes. Have they always sparkled like that? He lets Jaehyun cup his face.
“Is this okay?” He asks gently, caressing Doyoung’s cheek with his thumb. Doyoung nods. Jaehyun notices the light freckles that splatter on Doyoung’s face and the soft cupid’s bow. Everything about Doyoung is so attractive and makes Jaehyun fall smitten by the minute.
He leans in slowly before his lips connect with Doyoung’s. It’s a slow kiss at first. Jaehyun’s hands wander down to Doyoung’s waist, resting at the hip bone. Doyoung doesn’t hesitate to wrap his arms around Jaehyun’s neck. The music in the back is sensual and romantic, perfectly matching the mood.
The slow, romantic kiss quickly turns passionate when Jaehyun hands start to caress every part of Doyoung’s body. Jaehyun sticks his tongue right down the ravenclaw’s throat, and it has him moaning. He licks a stripe on Doyoung’s neck, sucking at the nape.
“Fuck, Jaehyun, wait—“ he mewls and cups Jaehyun’s face to stop him. Jaehyun’s looking up at him with desperate eyes. Doyoung stomach flutters.
“Yeah?” Jaehyun responds, out of breath from his tongue previously being down Doyoung’s throat about five seconds ago.
”Take me to your room,” Doyoung demands. He sounds so desperate that he might as well beg for it at this point. “Like now.”
Jaehyun lights up at the offer and doesn’t waste any second before grabbing Doyoung by the wrist, dragging him up to his dorm room. Once they make it there, Jaehyun locks the door with a flick of his wand, still kissing Doyoung passionately. He’s beginning to strip off his clothes. Doyoung stares and admires the view. Wow, the quidditch practice is really paying off.
“Like the view?” Jaehyun chuckles, showing off his built body. Doyoung scoffs, ignores him, and starts taking his clothes off as well. Jaehyun bends down and kisses Doyoung again, and he can feel Doyoung’s hands tugging at his jeans.
“Your roommates won’t like… walk in, right?” Doyoung asks anxiously, hands still toying around on Jaehyun’s slacks.
“No, I… they’ll know, don’t worry,” Jaehyun assures softly, immediately shaking his head. He unzips and pushes them down along with his boxers, helping the Ravenclaw out. He smiles, “I wouldn’t let anyone else see you like this anyway.”
Doyoung scoffs and takes Jaehyun’s cock in his mouth— hot and heavy on top of his tongue. Jaehyun groans and throws his head back. He has one hand gripping Doyoung’s hair.
“Fuck…“ Jaehyun’s moans echo inside the room. He starts thrusting lightly into Doyoung’s mouth. He gags slightly but ultimately relaxes his throat. “You’re sooo fucking good at this, baby.”
“Mmph…” Doyoung looks up at him, hair disheveled and lips swollen. His hands rested on Jaehyun’s thighs. He gives small kitten licks to Jaehyun’s tip, which has Jaehyun gasping in pleasure. This view of Jaehyun from Doyoung's perspective is insanely hot.
“Keep looking at me like that and I’ll cum,” Jaehyun chuckles, breath hitching when Doyoung flashes his eyelashes at him. Doyoung smiles and starts to fondle with Jaehyun’s balls. The gryffindor immediately pulls out of his mouth when he starts to feel his pulse quickening and his dick twitching. He starts to jerk off and he releases white stripes of cum all over Doyoung’s pretty face— landing on his eyelashes, his tongue, and his forehead.
He pulls Doyoung into another kiss, tasting himself on the ravenclaw’s lips. Doyoung whines, stroking his own cock in the process. His other hand is trailing down Jaehyun’s abs. He says, voice hoarse, “Fuck me now.”
“Yeah?” Jaehyun smirks, leaving kisses down Doyoung’s body. He replaces the hand stroking Doyoung’s cock with his. Doyoung moans, arching his back. He works Doyoung open with one finger, preparing him for the real thing. Jaehyun whispers, “Beg for it,” while biting his earlobe, which has Doyoung whining.
“You’re so fucking annoying,” Doyoung grunts out, face red. Jaehyun coos at the sight of an angry, flushed Doyoung beneath him before inserting another finger inside Doyoung, stretching him out. “I’m—“ He moans. “I’m not begging, asshole.”
“Then I’m not fucking you,” Jaehyun hums nonchalantly, licking his lips before fingering the good spot. Doyoung whimpers as he spreads his legs wider, biting his lip to prevent him from moaning any louder. Doyoung sighs quietly in disbelief.
“…Please fuck me, Jaehyun…” Doyoung mumbles faintly. Jaehyun snickers mockingly, hands rubbing down Doyoung’s thighs. He holds up a hand to his ear, motioning for him to speak louder.
“Hm? What’d you say?” Jaehyun asks degradingly. Doyoung whines out of humiliation. He has never felt this inferior before— and Jaehyun being the one that compels him to feel this way makes it all worse. “Speak up, baby.”
“Please fuck me, Jaehyun!” Doyoung cries out, humiliation, shame, embarrassment, and pure mortification of his own words filling his body. He’s looking away from Jaehyun. Jaehyun laughs, finding everything Doyoung does very much endearing. The gryffindor opens his side drawer and rips open a condom packet with his teeth before sliding it on his dick.
“Since you asked so nicely, and who am I to deny you?” Jaehyun teases, pulling his fingers out and wasting no time to replace it with his length. He slides in slowly, groaning at the tightness. The slide is rough and Doyoung’s breath hitches in pleasure. Jaehyun admires the view of Doyoung below him, laid down on his back and legs spread out. He looks quite accurate to the fantasy Doyoung in his wet dreams.
“You look so pretty like this,” Jaehyun pants out, hips thrusting into Doyoung like an excited puppy. He grips Doyoung’s hair roughly, forcing the ravenclaw to look up at him. Jaehyun growls at the sight, growing harder inside Doyoung’s walls. “So desperate for me, huh?”
Jaehyun pinches Doyoung’s nipples, causing Doyoung to arch his back off the bed and sob like a bitch. It feels so good— Doyoung can barely process the tears streaming down his face at the moment. All he can feel is Jaehyun’s fat cock ramming inside of him. He can barely process Jaehyun turning him over too, putting him on all fours.
“Jaehyun- Jaehyun- Jaehyun,” Doyoung chants Jaehyun’s name like a prayer. He rocks back on his cock. Jaehyun spanks his cheeks, Doyoung’s butt burning red. “F- Fuck— don’t stop!”
“Does it feel that good, Doie? Wanna see your face when you cum,” Jaehyun nibbles on Doyoung’s neck, definitely leaving a mark that’s starting to flourish colors of blue and purple. He forces Doyoung’s head down to the pillow and fastens the pace of his thrusts. “Tell me how much you love it.”
“I love it!” Doyoung cries out, pumping his own cock as Jaehyun bucks into him with fervor burning throughout his body. He throws his head back, feeling boneless in Jaehyun’s embrace. Jaehyun pulls him up so that his chest is pressing up against Doyoung’s back. It makes him blush at the vulnerable position, feeling exposed, but the shame goes away when Jaehyun buries himself deeper inside.
“I’m close…” Doyoun lets out a garbled moan, hands touching on Jaehyun’s body as he tries to find something to grab on. His hips jerk, “Please… ‘m gonna cum…”
“You’re my good boy, aren’t you?” Jaehyun chuckles, and Doyoung’s hole clenches at the filthy words. Doyoung nods frantically in response. He hits right at his prostate. Jaehyun murmurs against Doyoung’s soft skin, “Cum for me, baby.”
He replaces the hand stroking Doyoung’s dick with his own, trying to pleasure the ravenclaw all ways he possibly can. He uses the vacant hand to lift Doyoung’s leg up, wanting to fuck him to the hilt. Jaehyun bites his lip so roughly that it draws a bit of blood, “Fuck— I’m close too.”
Doyoung gasps, the thick air suffocating around him. His length throbs in excitement when Jaehyun’s thrusts come to a halt. Jaehyun comes inside the condom, groaning and sweaty. He grips Doyoung’s waist so tightly that he knows it’ll definitely leave marks in the future. Doyoung lets out a keen cry, reaching his climax a few moments after. His orgasm comes in spurts and stains Jaehyun’s red and black sheets. He topples over the bed, his body convulsing.
Doyoung’s body is sticky with sweat, his chest heaving in exhaustion. Jaehyun’s just as spent as him. He leaves soft kisses down Doyoung’s naked body and pulls out of him with a sigh.
“You were so good for me,” Jaehyun assures, arms wrapping around Doyoung’s waist. Doyoung grumbles in response, too exhausted to actually speak. He knows in the back of his head that he should clean himself up and head back to his own dorm— but Jaehyun’s sheets are so comfortable and he doesn’t mind falling asleep right here.
He doesn’t realize Jaehyun is standing up to grab some wipes from the bathroom to clean themselves up. Jaehyun even has the decency to dress Doyoung in his own clothes. Doyoung just stands still and lets Jaehyun take care of him.
“Are you gonna stay the night?” Jaehyun asks curiously, voice quiet and tame. He’s dressing himself in sleepwear, watching Doyoung laying on the bed.
Doyoung nods sleepily and yawns, “If that’s okay with you. Quite frankly, I don’t think my legs can even hold me up right now.”
“That’s true,” Jaehyun snorts and kisses Doyoung one more time before getting into bed with him. It doesn’t have passion this time— it's a whole different feeling. It’s romantic, gentle and soft and it causes Doyoung to believe that maybe this is something more than just a ‘friends with benefits’ situation. He snuggles against Doyoung’s back, wrapping his arms around Doyoung comfortably.
“You like it when I call you a good boy?” Jaehyun smirks, rubbing Doyoung’s hip bone with his thumb. Doyoung rolls his eyes and pushes Jaehyun off of him (but not fully).
“Please shut up,” he grumbles into Jaehyun’s chest.
“You’re being mean considering my dick was just inside you a couple minutes ago.”
“Jaehyun, I’m gonna kill you,” Doyoung mutters. “Go to sleep before I choke you.”
“Ooh, kinky. I didn’t know you were into that,” Jaehyun smiles tauntingly. “Should we try that next time?”
Doyoung hits Jaehyun in the shoulder, which has Jaehyun wincing in pain. The gryffindor hisses, his body already sore from quidditch practice, and Doyoung hitting his sore spots doesn’t make it any better. But he doesn’t mind at all— the exasperated look on Doyoung’s face is always worth it. Jaehyun smiles from ear to ear before kissing Doyoung on the lips one more time, crossing the line from friends with benefits to something more than just that.
Doyoung doesn’t push him away that time, nor does he move the hands on his waist. He also doesn’t back away when Jaehyun pulls him in to snuggle.
✦
Doyoung wakes up to Jaehyun’s stupidly handsome face and his arms still wrapped around his body. He looks good while he sleeps too. His eyes are closed shut and all Doyoung can notice are the light moles on his skin and the length of his pretty lashes. His lips are pink and curved perfectly, and Doyoung wouldn’t mind stealing a kiss again.
He quickly slaps himself back to reality. Doyoung is not falling for Jung Jaehyun. He’s stronger than this. He had swore to himself that he wouldn’t fall for Jung Jaehyun back in first year— he’s not gonna let himself down now. Even if Jaehyun looks so cute sleeping. And besides, Doyoung’s never been great at the relationship thing.
Last time he had a boyfriend, he ended up getting annoyed by the constant need for attention. Doyoung would rather spend his time with his face stuck in a book than his mouth stuck on someone else’s.
He sighs and sits up, memories of the night before running through his mind. He can’t believe he slept with Jaehyun— and sober. He was in his right mind during all of it, so can he really call it a mistake?
He plans to leave before Jaehyun wakes up and tries to stop him. He looks around for his clothes and for any belongings he might’ve left on the floor. After grabbing all his possessions, he glances one last time at Jaehyun’s sleeping figure on the bed before quietly making his way out.
It’s a painful walk to the Ravenclaw common room. His legs hurt like shit, and every step is an agonizing moment of progress. He wonders if Taeyong made it back okay. He takes a breather before opening the door to his dorm.
The first thing he sees is Taeyong and Johnny going at it like rabbits at eight A.M in the morning on his bed. His bed! Not to mention, Taeyong’s bed is literally two steps away. These horny fuckers couldn’t even wait to make it to Taeyong’s bed. He screams at the sight. They scream too and quickly cover themselves with Doyoung’s sheets.
“OH MY FUCKING GOD!” Doyoung shouts in pure mortification. He immediately covers his eyes, jaw dropped to the floor. Johnny and Taeyong start panicking to put clothes on. Doyoung continues shouting, “ON MY BED?!”
Johnny quickly apologizes and gets himself changed before running right past Doyoung and out of the dorm room. Doyoung is very, visibly angry, and as Taeyong’s best friend, he knows he should be scared.
“Doyoung, look…” Taeyong chuckles nervously, hands in front of him to ‘protect’ himself from angry Doyoung. “Look, I— So… it was an accident! I thought we were on my bed…”
“I’m gonna kill you, Taeyong,” Doyoung whispers under his breath, wand in his hand. “I’M GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU!”
Taeyong screams in fear. Doyoung throws his wand across the floor and starts to tackle Taeyong on the bed. Taeyong is kicking his feet, wondering when the fuck Doyoung got so strong. He gets a hold of Doyoung’s wrists, tying him down.
“Okay before you kill me, you have to tell me where you went last night,” Taeyong pouts. Doyoung gulps and blinks, pushing him off.
“No I don’t,” he mumbles, immediately getting off the bed when he realized it’s dirty with Taeyong’s and Johnny’s remnants. “I’m gonna have to burn these fucking sheets…”
“Don’t change the subject!” Taeyong frowns. “Tell me where you were last night. As your designated best friend, I was really worried.”
“The only thing you were worried about was how far you could stick your tongue down Johnny’s throat,” Doyoung snaps back. Taeyong gasps, visibly offended.
“Okay, ew, don’t make it sound nasty,” Taeyong scoffs. He takes a closer look at Doyoung. Specifically Doyoung’s neck. There’s a bruise, bloomed with purple and blue colors. “Is that a hickey on your neck?!”
Doyoung quickly covers the bruise with his palm. “No! No… I walked into a pole. You know— the amount of poles around campus is abnormal. It was bound to happen.”
You would think as a Ravenclaw, he would have come up with a much smarter, much more logical excuse— but no, Doyoung’s brain is still scrambled from that mind-blowing sex. Maybe Taeyong’s stupid enough to buy it (Newsflash: he isn’t).
“You got laid!” Taeyong squeals gleefully, shaking Doyoung’s shoulders. Doyoung gets embarrassed and covers Taeyong’s loud mouth with the palm of his hand.
“Could you be any quieter than that?” Doyoung hisses. Taeyong giggles and hugs him, excited for whatever reason. He’s acting like Doyoung is a virgin and just had sex for the first time.
“Who was it!“ Taeyong inquires excitedly, the biggest smile on his face. Doyoung shoos him away.
“That’s none of your business,” Doyoung says with a humph. Taeyong observes his face with a squint of his eyes.
“Hm… Was it Jinyoung from our house?” Taeyong begins to guess names. “Wait, no— Yuta from Slytherin!”
“None of the above! Stop guessing,” Doyoung groans in exasperation. He starts grabbing at the sheets from under Taeyong’s body, planning to burn or bury them deep underground. Taeyong whines, shaking Doyoung’s arm.
“Doyoung… Just tell me…” He pouts even harder than last time— Doyoung didn’t even know that it was physically possible to jut your bottom lip far. “I promise I won’t tell anyone. I have literally no one to tell, well besides maybe Johnny. But I won’t even tell him! I swear on my life!”
Doyoung quickly runs out of the dorm— ignoring the shouting of Taeyong calling out from behind him.
“I will find out who you slept with, Kim Doyoung!”
✦
The past few days have been complete hell for Doyoung. What have I done to deserve this? he thinks. Ever since the incident in Jaehyun’s room occurred, Jaehyun’s flirtatiousness has gotten worse and more consistent.
Every day, Jaehyun brings a bundle of dandelions to potions class, just to place them on Doyoung’s desk. It stirred up dating rumors once again— and that had Doyoung fearing for his life and safety because of those evil Jaehyun fangirls.
And Jaehyun’s daily notes? Ten times more lewd. Doyoung had proved he wasn’t a prude of any sort, but even these notes Jaehyun had been writing were a bit too promiscuous for his liking.
Exhibit 1:
My dick is sad :( only one thing can cheer it up uhuhu :((( his name starts with a D and ends with a G…
— Jaehyun
Not even a hello? A ‘how are you on this fine morning’? Jaehyun had been toying with Doyoung— both mentally and physically. Upon receiving that note, he quickly burned it.
Exhibit 2:
Are you ignoring me? You know bad boys get punished right? If you wanted to get spanked, you should've just said so :)
— Jaehyun
Yes, Doyoung was in fact ignoring him. He had felt so much embarrassment, remembering how he quite literally begged Jaehyun to fuck him. He was going to take that memory down to the grave with him. If anyone found out, he might have to transfer to Ilvermorny and change his name to something like Charlie. Absolutely horrid.
In addition, he was scared to know how Jaehyun felt about everything. He was scared to be confronted with ‘it’s just a one-time thing’, when he had felt something so intimate with Jaehyun that night. He feared that Jaehyun didn’t feel the same way— and he probably didn’t.
Jaehyun could have anyone he wanted, why would he go after someone who’s under par and stubborn? Someone who is rude and quiet, and no one near Jaehyun's league. At least, that’s what Doyoung had felt.
He’s reading a book on magical herbology, glasses set aside on the side desk when Taeyong rushes in, panting and out of breath. He points right at Doyoung. Doyoung blinks in response.
“You fucked Jung Jaehyun!” He gasps, eyes widened like saucers. Doyoung chokes on his words, not sure how to reply to that. He closes his book.
“No- No I did not,” he murmurs, lying straight through his teeth. He puts his glasses back on to see Taeyong clearly.
“You are a horrible liar, by the way,” Taeyong rolls his eyes. He jumps on Doyoung’s bed— with the new sheets and all (since he really had burned the other sheets). “So how was it? Is he big? Did you cum?”
“I did not fuck him.”
“Hm… did he choke you? I know you like that,” Taeyong asks curiously.
“I do not like that!” Doyoung scoffs. He says the next words quietly, “But no… he didn’t.”
Taeyong giggles, “So you did fuck him! I knew it!”
“How did you find out?” Doyoung sighs.
“Johnny told me— I told him he was crazy because… you know,” Taeyong shrugs. “You hate him. But then I thought about it a little more and connected the dots, and I was like, yeah that checks out.”
“It was a one-time thing. It’s never, ever happening again,” Doyoung declares. “And I regret it so much! I would never do it again.”
Doyoung’s red cheeks, stuttering words, and furrowed eyebrows say otherwise. Taeyong glances at him, unsure of Doyoung’s statement. Taeyong just pats his shoulder.
“Sure, bud, sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night.”
Doyoung kicks Taeyong in the stomach. Taeyong cries and curls over in pain.
✦
Doyoung’s on patrol for watching over the hallways tonight. His job is to make sure no students are up past their curfew, and as a prefect, he’s pretty strict on those rules. That’s probably the reason why most students can’t stand him.
He yawns and checks the watch on his wrist. There’s just about a half an hour left before his hallway shift is over. Usually around eleven P.M, most students are in bed. They tend to sneak out around two A.M for whatever reason that Doyoung cannot explain. He remembers catching two fifth years after curfew, sneaking into the kitchen to steal food.
Usually prefects patrol in pairs together, but his partner had been deathly sick and was hospitalized in the Hospital Wing— where Madam Kim had been treating him. He sighs and taps his foot, wanting his shift to be over already.
His head turns at the sound of someone’s footsteps coming towards him. Who’s out this late at night? Some lower year is getting in trouble today. He waits for the student to show up. When the student is in his vision, it’s not some stupid fifth year who’s greedy for some snacks in the kitchen, it’s something even worse.
Unfortunately it’s Jung Jaehyun, back in Doyoung’s view with that stupidly handsome face that Doyoung loathes so much. He sighs and looks away. Maybe if he ignores him, he’ll go away. That obviously doesn’t work when Jaehyun waves at him and stands right beside Doyoung.
“You’re not even on patrol tonight,” Doyoung said irritably. Jaehyun nods his head at the statement with a bit of a frown. He’s never seen Jaehyun so serious before. Usually, he’s grinning from ear to ear.
“I am aware of that,” Jaehyun says, eyebrows furrowed with a frown. “I wanted to see you. You’ve been ignoring me. You’ve even been ignoring my notes…”
Doyoung blinks, unsure of how to respond without ranting about how he might’ve missed Jaehyun’s presence a bit. Jaehyun’s still staring at him with that cute sulking expression, waiting for an answer to the apparent avoidance from Doyoung.
”Did I do something wrong?” Jaehyun sniffles, voice quiet and soft. He’s holding back tears. It pains him to even imagine that he hurt Doyoung, when that’s the last thing he would ever want. He takes Doyoung’s hand in his. “If I did, please… please tell me.”
“No,” Doyoung gulps. He makes eye contact with Jaehyun. His stomach turns at the sight of a pleading Jaehyun before him. He continues, “No, you didn’t. It was… I was scared.”
“Of what?” Jaehyun asks softly, cupping Doyoung’s face so gently that it causes Doyoung to melt a bit inside. He hates how vulnerable Jaehyun makes him feel. He really, really hates it. Jaehyun continues, “You don’t have to be scared of anything. I wanted it. Did you?”
“I…” Doyoung starts hesitantly. But did Jaehyun want it as much as he did? That’s what he was afraid of. “Yeah, I wanted it too.”
Jaehyun smiles at him lovingly before cupping his face with two hands, leaning in to kiss him. Their lips connect. It’s not passionate, not rough and not full of lust. This time, it’s filled with love and warm intimacy. Doyoung sighs quietly into the kiss.
“It was more than just sex to me,” Doyoung whispers against Jaehyun’s lips. He has his arms wrapped around Jaehyun’s neck.
“Me too, Doyoung,” Jaehyun murmurs back, pecking Doyoung on the mouth just one more time. “I’ve always loved you, Doyoung. Since the first time we met when I accidentally stepped and killed your pet lizard as first years.“
“Oh my god. I forgot about that. Now I’m mad all over again,” Doyoung scoffs and rolls his eyes. He then scowls, and Jaehyun quite literally coos. He grumbles, “Fuck you, Jaehyun. I loved that damn lizard.”
“I sincerely apologize,” Jaehyun pouts. “He was super tiny. I couldn’t see him. It’s technically your fault for leaving him out like that.”
“My fault?!” Doyoung gasps, disgruntled. He smacks Jaehyun's shoulder, which has Jaehyun hissing in pain. “He fell out of the cage when I wasn’t looking, and then you murdered him in cold bold!”
“Now, murdered is a stretch—“ Jaehyun banters. They bicker for minutes until Jaehyun shuts him up with another kiss. Doyoung makes a noise of surprise.
“Okay, so we have to talk about how you can’t kiss me whenever you feel like it,” Doyoung snorts. Jaehyun pouts for the hundredth time, his bottom lips might seriously fall off from all that pouting.
“But why not? Aren’t I technically your boyfriend now?” Jaehyun says with a humph. He’s still rubbing Doyoung’s hip bone. “I should be able to kiss you whenever I want.”
“Are you my boyfriend? You never asked,” Doyoung points out. Jaehyun blinks and nods, realizing he hasn’t asked properly.
“Okay then…” Jaehyun gulps nervously for whatever reason. It’s not like Doyoung’s going to deny him. He didn’t admit that he liked Jaehyun, which was very difficult for him by the way, just to say no. “Will you be my boyfriend, Kim Doyoung?”
“Wait, actually… no,” Doyoung replies. Jaehyun’s heart drops, his stomach twists, and he’s about to burst into tears. Doyoung says with a sigh, “You have to do it romantically. Like, flowers and all.”
Jaehyun blinks. That was an easy request. Jaehyun could fulfill that. “Is that all?”
Doyoung nods. “Yep. And then I’ll be your boyfriend.”
“Just watch. You won’t be disappointed,” Jaehyun chuckles, before spinning Doyoung in the air with his strong arms gripping his waist. If Doyoung wants a romantic proposal, a romantic proposal is what he will get. Jaehyun’s never been one to let people down, especially when ‘people’ is the boy he loves with the cutest angry face ever.
✦
It had been about four days since Jaehyun and Doyoung became exclusive. They weren’t dating yet per se, because Doyoung had been waiting for Jaehyun to pop the question. He didn’t think it would take long— considering all he needed was a stupid bouquet of flowers to win over Doyoung’s heart. But he waited, and quite patiently at that.
Being exclusive with Jaehyun was like everything and also at the same time, nothing he could have ever imagined. It was like a personal hell Doyoung decided to walk into (happily as a matter of fact) every day. Jaehyun and Doyoung still bickered affectionately a lot, which was unsurprising. Bantering was the foundation of their relationship and it only made every day with Jaehyun even more important.
Doyoung had found himself attending all of Jaehyun’s quidditch games for the past few days. He didn’t want to admit it, but it had to be said, he fell for Gryffindor’s Golden Boy. He had been smitten even— it was the worst feeling ever. He clapped for Jaehyun whenever he scored, and started to feel mad about all the other girls clapping for him too.
Jaehyun wasn’t exactly his yet, but at the same time he was, and no one else could have him like Doyoung did. So he felt as Jaehyun’s unofficial boyfriend, these girls should have some human decency and stop clapping for him! That was Doyoung’s job. Not theirs. Taeyong nudged him with his elbow when he caught Doyoung screaming in excitement every time Jaehyun scored a goal. He can barely hear his best friend over all the cheers.
“You’ve gotten soft, Kim Doyoung,” Taeyong teases with a smile and jokingly tsk. “And for Jung Jaehyun too. Who would’ve thought? Or actually, I thought this. I predicted this.”
“Stop,” Doyoung mumbles shyly. “It’s not like he’s my boyfriend.”
“He might as well be,” Taeyong shrugs. “Besides, he’s gonna ask any day now.”
“Mm.. yeah.. but still,” Doyoung sighs. “Technically not my boyfriend.”
“Enjoy the last few days of being a frigid, single bitch,” Taeyong hums.
“I’m seriously gonna kill you one day.”
Taeyong laughs at Doyoung’s statement. The game ends fifteen minutes later, with the obvious win going to Gryffindor. It was a close game, but of course Jaehyun’s team caught the snitch and won the game for good. In the midst of Doyoung’s cheering, Jaehyun flies over to him on his broom, hovering right in front of him.
Jaehyun smiles right at him with the cute, dimpled smile that Doyoung falls short for. Before he knows it, Jaehyun’s pulling out enchanted fireworks from his pocket and lighting them into the air. A weird way to celebrate, but okay, Doyoung thinks. He doesn’t even recall Jaehyun hiding those in his pocket. Everyone in the stands is chanting Jaehyun’s name.
Doyoung looks up at the sky, and every time a firework sparks comes a new word. Slowly but surely, the final product spells out,
KIM DOYOUNG, WILL YOU BE MY BOYFRIEND?
It has Doyoung giggling like a school girl with her first boy crush, blushing like crazy. Romantic indeed, but also very embarrassing due to the fact that it was directed straight towards him. He hears Jaehyun shouting over the cheers and lands right in from him, hands pulling Doyoung in by the waist.
“Will you be my boyfriend, Doie?” Jaehyun grins, then pulling out a bouquet of dandelions from wherever the fuck he had been hiding them. Jaehyun’s sweaty and panting from the intense quidditch game he played just five minutes before all of them. All Doyoung can think of is how handsome he looks and how romantic the gesture is.
“Yes!” Doyoung laughs, a tear slipping down his face. He grabs the flowers from Jaehyun’s hands. This is the most precious thing anyone has ever done for him in his nineteen years of living. It warms his heart up to the core. Jaehyun smiles back and kisses Doyoung passionately, the students around them screaming like crazy. He even goes far as to lift him up like a princess.
“I can’t believe you did this,” Doyoung smiles, mumbling against Jaehyun’s soft lips. “You’re so annoying.”
“I love you, Doyoung,” Jaehyun beams back at him. “Let me prove it to you as your boyfriend now.”
“You’re so cheesy, shut up,” Doyoung giggles affectionately before pulling Jaehyun into another kiss. His body is warming up with love, and Doyoung thinks he’s fine living with Jaehyun’s stupid, handsome face for the rest of his life.
