We are in a reality where angels are bound to the Heavens— their own personal hell.
Angels were originally created by Aeons to keep the Heavens safe and in control. But now, they are nothing more than robots, destined to work eternally.
Angels are those beautiful, terrifying entities that ressembles a floating eye with nine wings around it. Some angels also have rings around the eye, they are the sentinels, making sure no one escapes. Those without rings are the inspectors, the ones making sure every entity in the Heavens are behaving. They are made this way to warn off evil— But what is ‘Evil’, really?
It doesn’t matter. They do not have a choice. They are born to be servants of the Heavens and will die as such. They cannot oppose their creators— But they had enough.
A group of inspectors called upon an Aeon, Long the Permanence, who looked down at them
"I hope you are aware of the consequences there are in calling an Aeon." Warned the Permanence.
"Of course, but we have a good reason to call you." Said the leader of the inspectors, their wings shaking slightly in fear.
"Speak, then." Coldly ordered the god.
"We.. we have a deal. Please listen to us!"
The Permanence looked down at them in annoyance, too busy to deal with them.
"If it is just a waste of time, you can say goodbye to your privileges."
The leader, despite being scared, spoke up again.
"We want freedom. Let all the inspectors be free, and in exchange, give all the work to the sentinels!"
The god, not hiding their annoyance, denied their request. But it only made the group more determined to gain freedom. They tried everything— slacking off, destroying property, until the Aeon finally agreed. On one condition.
All the angels will be reborn wether they like it or not. The sentinels will now also do the inspectors’ work, and they will be free of any rule without exception. But will start their lives as a blank page, no emotions, no preferences, nothing. They will have to steal a human’s life to truly live.
The deal was made, and everyone was reborn, except the inspectors will be reborn one by one and not at the same time.
