Chapter Text

Ruby felt her eyes open and her lungs burning. Everything happened so fast, and she's not entirely sure what happened. She remembers her sister losing her arm and... a lot of blood. Then... the blood started glowing and... there was a bright flash. Speaking of, when Ruby opened her eyes, she saw Yang laying there, pale as Weiss' hair, and what remained of her arm still bleeding.

"Y-Y-Yang?" Ruby asked, before coughing, "Yang!"

Ruby crawled over to her, trying to get her to open her eyes. Through her blurred vision, Ruby could see her other friends around them. Weiss, Blake, Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora, and Ren. They all appeared to be fine but Yang was the worst off, she required Ruby's attention more than they did.

'Gotta hurry. Gotta make the bleeding stop!' Ruby thought.

She pulled her cloak off and wrapped it around Yang's missing arm, hoping it would last for long enough to get her medical attention.

'Come on, come on!' Ruby thought, 'I... I need to save... her.'

Ruby began coughing... a lot. It got to the point that she was coughing more than she was helping Yang.

"W-w-why am I... coughing? S-s-so... hard to... breath." Ruby said.

Thankfully, Weiss and Blake seemed to come to soon after.

"Ugh, my head." Blake said, sitting up as she held her head. "W-What happened?"

"I-I don't know. I remember we were at Beacon, Grimm invaded and then-" Weiss heard violent coughing and looked up, seeing Ruby coughing near an unconscious Yang.

They ran towards them.

"Ruby, Yang!" They shouted.

Blake went to finish what Ruby started, while Weiss went to help Ruby.

"S... so hard... to... to breathe." Ruby said.

"W... we need to find a place to recover." Weiss said, before looking around, "W-w-where are we?"

Blake helped Yang sit up against a wall. Blood quickly began to soak into Ruby's cloak, even staining the wall because of how much she was losing. As if Yang's blood opening a portal wasn't strange enough, the blood on the wall began to glow as well.

"B-B-Blake?" Weiss asked, looking at the shining blood.

Blake turned and saw it, and before she could say anything, a secret door opened.

"What the-"

"We ask questions later, let's go in!" Weiss said.

"But what if it's dangerous?! We aren't exactly equipped to handle something right now!" Blake said.

"Anywhere is... Cough Cough … better... then here." Weiss said, "Help me bring them in there."

Seeing as Weiss was right and Yang's condition would grow worse if they didn't hurry, she nodded and dragged Yang inside of the sudden cave opening before running out for Team JNPR.

"It's gonna be cough okay, Ruby! We've got you." Weiss said, also finding it hard to breathe but powered through as she pulled Ruby into the cave.

Looking back, Weiss saw Blake carrying Nora to the cave and decided to use her glyphs to make a floating path to slide them in.

Once they got them all inside, the door closed. This was helpful as it prevented more toxic air from getting in, allowing them to breathe easily. It was also UNHELPFUL, as Weiss now couldn't see a foot in front of her.

"Blake, you've got night vision, you need to guide me around." Weiss said, "We need a place to put Yang down."

Blake looked around, seeing this place was a bit like an abandoned home. Probably abandoned a few decades ago with all the dust.

"Uh, there's a staircase a few feet to your left, maybe it'll bring us to a bedroom." Blake said, "Be careful, it heads down."

"Thanks. Let me reach for my scroll, maybe that can help." Weiss said, trying to feel around for her scroll in her hidden skirt pockets.

Weiss pulled it out and tried to use it to light her way a bit, noticing that there was no signal... wherever they were.

"Damn." Weiss said, "Just another issue."

She walked down the stairs and saw that it went for a good minute or so, until she came up on a large room with a bed in the middle.

'This feels like something you'd find in a tomb, but I don't think we can find the time to care.' Weiss said, putting Yang on the bed.

Upstairs, Blake is looking around, seeing what there is in this place. It wasn't too big, but it was at least non-toxic. She found a bookshelf and couldn't help herself. She pulled a book off and blew the dust off. Which caused her to cough a bit, stirring some of team JNPR into consciousness.

"Ugh…my head feels like Nora hit me with her hammer." Jaune muttered, rolling over and pushing onto his knees.

"I wish that was what happened." Blake said, opening the book.

Nora began to look around.

"W-w-where are we?"

"That's the question of the day." Blake said, flipping the page, "One that hopefully the book can answer."

Blake began to read the book as fast as she could, needing to learn about where they are more than anything, as Jaune and Nora checked in their partners/crushes.

"So, we're in a place called Makai." Blake said, "A place with toxic air... great."

"Toxic? That could explain cough why it's hard to breathe." Jaune said, helping Pyrrha sit up. "But I've never heard of a place called "Makai" before."

"Maybe it's an unknown village?" Nora asked, gently slapping Ren awake.

"Or maybe." Blake began to think, "It's another realm."

"What?!" Nora yelled.

"Think about it, Yang's blood was glowing a second before we ended up here." Blake explained, "And when we put her against a wall, her blood opened the entrance to this place."

"But, that still doesn't explain how any of that happened." Pyrrha said, "How did Yang's blood get us here?"

"I... don't know." Blake said.

'And how did we get back?' Blake thought, continuing to read the book to learn as much as she could.

It was around that time that Ruby came to as well, having passed out twice already.

"... Please tell me I just had a horrible nightmare." She said, looking at the unfamiliar area.

"I wish you did." Blake said, closing the book, "Nothing about how to get back, just a bit of history about someone named Sparda and him closing this place off from another realm it's attached to."

"Realm? As in another dimension that is not Remnant?" Ruby asked as the shock was setting in slowly.

"Yes and none of us know how we got here aside from Yang's blood suddenly glowing, somehow." Blake said with a sigh.

"I honestly thought I was losing my mind when that happened." Ruby said, "Why did it do that? How did it do that?"

"I don't know, but we need to find out." Blake said, "If it got us here, then maybe it can get us home."

"OUT OF THE- cough cough question. Yang has lost too much blood already." Ruby said before jolting, searching for Yang. "Where is she?!"

"Yang is fine, Weiss took her to a bedroom down stairs. Everyone else has recovered too and they're looking through this house we found." Blake said before seeing her aura flicker just a bit, "Right now, we should rest and recover. Not to mention that we have to find out what to do about food and from the sounds on it, this place is very deadly."

"How so?" Ruby asked before coughing some more.

"For one, the air seems to be toxic and our aura is doing its best to protect us." Blake said, holding up her hand to show an aura flicker. "Now to mention we don't know what sort of "makaians" inhabit this real. They could be just as bad or worse than Grimm."

"Ruby, are... are you okay?" Jaune asked, "We were all outside the same amount of time but you seem to be having the hardest time."

"I... I don't know." Ruby said.

"Was she awake?" Nora asked.

"She was basically on the brink of dying when Weiss and I got up." Blake said, walking over to Ruby, "You were awake first and went over to Yang... knowing you, you tend to breath more when stressed, so I'm inclined to believe you inhaled more of the toxic air than the rest of us. Go rest, you need it."

"I'll be... Cough... fine." Ruby said.

"No, you won't be." Blake said, "Now go rest or else I'll have to put you to sleep myself."

"But what about Yang? She-"

"Is being looked after by Weiss. She'll be fine, Ruby." Jaune cut her off, We can't think emotionally here. This place is dangerous, we need to be careful."

"So get some rest, Ruby. I'm supposed to be one of the stubborn ones here." Nora joked a little.

"I just... let me know if something happens." Ruby said.

"We will."

In the bedroom, Yang was on the bed, looking pale... most likely from blood loss. Weiss did everything she could to at least slow the bleeding. She was currently looking for some kind of medical kit or anything similar, but if there was one, it was as gone as the original owner of this place.

"Nothing... Nothing... NOTHING... NOTHING!" Weiss screamed, "How are we supposed to save Yang if we have nothing to work with!?"

She heard Yang groaning and quickly went over to her.

"Just... try and stay ca-"

Weiss didn't get past that, as Yang's remaining arm shot out and grabbed Weiss by the neck with a grip that could literally bend steel. Yang's eyes snapped open and they were red... not the usual red... FULLY red. There was no pupil, no iris, nothing but red. Yang's teeth were also sharpened to points. Yang, not knowing where she was, and so out of it from blood loss, did not realize she was currently strangling her future sister-in-law, I mean, teammate to death. Weiss started turning blue.

"H-h-hellllp." Weiss barely managed to get that out as her eyes rolled back into her head.

Yang was then hit by a massive hammer, resulting in her letting go of Weiss... but not being phased by Nora's hammer.

"... That usually works." Nora said, suddenly feeling very scared.

Yang turned to Nora with a growl, making her jolt in fear as she swung her hammer again! But Yang caught it and yanked it from her hand, tossing it aside before grabbing Nora's face and slamming her into the floor!

"AAAH!" Nora screamed in pain.

"NORA!" Ren said, coming down, "YANG, STOP!"

Yang growled at him as she threw Nora at him, making Ren catch her as Weiss pulled out her weapon. Using the ice dust, Weiss stabbed the ground and made a glyph appear under Yang before freezing her from the waist down!

"What's going on with her!?" Nora yelled.

"I don't know!" Weiss said, "One second she was completely on death's door and then next she just snapped!"

Yang was currently screaming and growling, like a wild animal, trying to break out of the ice, before her eyes started to fade and return to normal. Yang slowed down and looked around.

"W-w-what... where are we? What's going on?" Yang asked.

"Yang? Are you... you?" Weiss asked.

"Y-y-yeah, why?" Yang asked, "And why am I trapped in ice?"

"Yang... you just took a shot from Nora's hammer, and didn't even flinch." Weiss said, "After trying to choke me to death. You don't remember any of that?!"

"C-Choking you?! No! I don't remember any of that!" Yang shouted, shaking her head. "The last thing I remember was Blake being cornered by a red haired Faunus and stabbed in the stomach!"

"Yeah, I didn't put this hand print on my neck because it's trendy." Weiss said, motioning to the dark bruise on her neck.

"I... I didn't..."

Yang didn't remember any of that.

"Yang, we don't know where we are... but what we know is that your blood opened a portal to here." Weiss said, "Did... did your dad ever say you were different or something?"

Yang looked down, trying to process things. That's when Nora of all people brought up a good point.

"I just realized... if Yang did all that... What about Ruby? Could she also do that stuff?"

"That…is a good and concerning question." Weiss said, putting her weapon away.

'They both have the same father but different mothers. Could he be the reason Yang's blood acting like that?' Weiss thought as Yang looked around.

"Where is Ruby right now?" Yang asked, growing concerned for her sister possibly acting like she just did.

"Upstairs with Blake, Jaune, and Pyrrha." Ren answered.

Yang tried to get free of the ice, but was struggling.

"Let me out, I have to go see her!" Yang said.

"Yang, you need to-"

"I will finish the job if you don't let me out right now, Weiss!" Yang said, "I need to make sure she's okay!"

"Ruby is fine! You, on the other hand, are still missing an arm and have just woken up from a small coma!" Weiss shouted at her, adding more ice to keep Yang in place.

"You don't get it, Weiss! I'm the older sister, I need to make sure Ruby is okay!" Yang yelled, "It's my fault, I... I have to make sure she's fine."

"Well, too bad! Because-"

"What's going on?! Is Yang alright?!" Ruby shouted as she rushed into the basement with her semblance. "I heard screaming and thuds!"

"…She's already here." Weiss said blankly with a sigh. "When she should be resting herself."

"WHY IS YANG FROZEN IN ICE!?" Ruby shouted.

"ASK WEI-"

Weiss was fed up. She socked Ruby with a right hand in the nose, before immediately pulling back and slamming her elbow against the side of Yang's head, knocking both sisters out cold. She looked at Nora and Ren with a look of anger and exhaustion in her eyes.

"Break Yang out of the ice, and get her and Ruby to a place to rest." Weiss said, "I have to go speak with Blake, the only other adult here!"

Briskly and clinging to her partner, Nora gave a rapid nod while Ren threw up a quick thumbs up. Having a new level of fear and respect for Weiss.

"Got it, Weiss! Totally got it!" Nora said.

"Good." Weiss said as she walked past them and back upstairs.

"... She's scary when she's mad." Nora said when Weiss was out of earshot.

"Yes. Yes she is." Ren said with a slow nod. "I pray Jaune and Pyrrha survive her wrath."

Weiss arrived upstairs and let out a frustrated sigh.

"I cannot not be the one to think straight for once." Weiss said, "Blake, where are you? I need to talk with you."

"She's searching this place for more clues." Pyrrha said as she and Jaune approached her.

"She found a book earlier that explained what this place was. Maybe she could find another one." Jaune said before feeling his stomach. "Or at least a kitchen with something humans can eat."

"Well, we have at least an idea about this place." Weiss said, "Yang woke up... with pure red eyes, sharp teeth, and tried to strangle me to death."

"... That just sounds like Yang." Jaune said.

"Not like this. She seemed more... violent, beast-like." Weiss said, "I think... she and Ruby have some kind of connection to this place."

"Ruby? But it was Yang's blood that-

"And Ruby is her half sister. If the tables were turned, Ruby's blood might've reacted the same. The real question is why?" Weiss said.

Pyrrha thought about it as well.

"Is it... is it possible that they have ancestry that comes from this... demon realm?" Pyrrha asked, "I mean, think about it, if blood opened the portal, it must be something specific about their blood otherwise everyone would be opening a portal to here."

"But that would mean Ruby and Yang are part demon or something, but that's just insane." Jaune said.

"So are some of the legends on Remnant but all legends have bits of truth in them." Pyrrha said to him.

"Like the stories of magic and fairytales, which 75% think are real now." Weiss said, "Anyway, they are out cold right now."

"What? Why?" Jaune asked.

Weiss said nothing and just responded by wiping Ruby's blood off her hand. Seeing this, Pyrrha moved back a step while pulling Jaune with her.

"If you're looking for Blake, she went that way." Pyrrha said as she pointed to the left.

"Thank you." Weiss said, walking in that direction.

After she left, Jaune and Pyrrha gaze at each other.

"I don't want to know what happened downstairs. Do you?" Jaune asked.

"Nope." Pyrrha said.

Weiss found Blake.

"You find anything that could be of any use?" Weiss asked.

"I managed to find some old books, one of them being some sort of history book luckily." Blake said, holding up the history book. "I also found one that appears to be some sort of family photo album but most of the photos were destroyed."

"Destroyed? Why?" Weiss asked.

"Best guess? They didn't want anyone learning about them." Blake said, "It's strange, from what I do see in it, it's like the people that lived here, and their family, just dropped off the face of whatever world we're in."

"Could they have used a portal to get out of here like how Yang's blood made one to get us in?" Weiss asked.

"Possibly but that would mean that this place belonged to the same powerful demon that Yang is related to." Blake said as she gave Weiss the family album.

Weiss looked at one of the few things left undamaged in it.

"Hmm... Sparda." She said, "Interesting name."

"I found another book about him. He sealed this place off from another world that is connected too." Blake said.

"Wait... does that mean... could Yang and Ruby be related to this Sparda?" Weiss asked, "He sealed off the realm, and Yang's blood brought us here."

"I mean... it's possible. I mean, for Ruby it's a 50/50 chance. We don't know what side of the family this is on, but… if it is…" Blake said, thinking about it, "We fell for demons... kinda funny if you think about it."

Weiss blushed.

"W-w-what do you mean?" Weiss asked.

"I'm not stupid, I've seen how you act near Ruby." Blake said.

"I don't know what you mean." Weiss said, looking away in denial.

'How did she find out?! I was so careful!' Weiss thought.

"Listen, I know how you feel, I am literally dealing with the same feelings for Yang." Blake said, holding out a hand, "If you keep my secret crush, I'll keep yours. Deal?"

Weiss looked at the hand and shook it.

"Deal." Weiss said.

"Good, now we should probably head down and see if Yang has woken up." Blake said.

"... About that."

Jaune and Pyrrha were helping Ren and Nora with Yang and Ruby, when they heard a shout.

"YOU DID WHAT!?"

Chapter 2: Brutal Beating

Chapter Text

It took a few hours, but Yang and Ruby woke up... this time not with trying to choke someone out. Ruby slowly opened her eyes and looked around, everything from the last several hours coming back to her.

"I was hoping I dreamt it." She muttered, before seeing Weiss, "Hey, Weiss."

"Hey, Ruby, sorry for the whole... breaking your nose thing." Weiss said, "Just... been really stressed with everything going on and... I... your sister is a demon."

Ruby blinked.

"W... what?"

"Yang is a demon." Weiss repeated, "And... there's a chance you are as well."

Ruby shook her head.

"N... no, that's... that's not possible." Ruby denied, "I mean... Raven, yeah from what I've been told, she might be, but there's no way I have demon blood in me."

Weiss let out a sigh.

"Listen, Ruby, I'm... I'm going out into this world to see if I can find some kind of food. Do you want... do you want to join me?"

"Sure! Let's go find something to eat cuz I don't think we'll find anything here." Ruby said with a nod.

"We better hurry though." Weiss said, "Our Aura only holds the air off for so long."

"Oh yeah, nearly forgot that." Ruby said, barely noticing her difficulty breathing anymore honestly.

"Your aura was at 11%." Weiss said, "It's a miracle that you aren't dead right now."

"We'll... figure out something." Ruby said, "We have to."

'I know but still.' Weiss thought as she pulled out her scroll, checking their team's aura levels again.

She had been checking them nonstop since Blake told her the air in Makai was toxic.

"If we're fast, we should be able to make it." Weiss said.

"Then let's get moving." Ruby said with a nod, checking Crescent Rose for ammo or any damage from earlier.

'I don't know if that will be of any use.' Weiss thought, realizing that their weapons may not actually be useful here.

Not to mention the limited dust they had, they would need to use to save their BIG and POWERFUL moves for emergencies. The two headed out, watching the hidden door close behind them.

'Thankfully that helps prevent the air from getting in.' Weiss thought.

Weiss could already feel the toxic air eating at her aura, making her cough a bit into her hand, while Ruby didn't look as bothered by it as she was before.

Almost as if she had gotten used to it in the short time they had been here.

"Let's see if we can find some kind of town." Weiss said, walking in a random direction.

Ruby nodded as she followed Weiss, making sure to memorize the way they were heading so they could find their way back to the hidden house. They stumbled on what seemed to be an old road.

"This might lead us somewhere."

"But which way do we go? Left or right?" Ruby asked, looking both ways.

"That... is a good question." Weiss said, "Uh, let's go... right?"

"You don't seem so sure." Ruby said.

"I'm trying." Weiss said.

"I know but still, it's better to be sure." Ruby said before looking up. "Give me a boost, I'll see if there's anything nearby."

Weiss nodded as she flicked her hands out, making a glyph under Ruby's feet to send her rocketing into the air. Ruby saw the twisted and creepy world. Scorched earth, unnatural rock formations, no signs of animal or plant life anywhere. Ruby fell back to the ground and landed on her feet.

"This place is weird. I didn't see anything." Ruby said, "Just, lots of toxic clouds and a world devoid of life."

"Devoid of ALL life? There has to be something living here." Weiss said as she looked around. "And there has to be a reason this world is like this. It couldn't have just been created this way, right?"

"I... I don't know." Ruby said.

'I guess…we'll just have to go right like Weiss suggested.' Ruby thought with a sigh.

The two began walking right, hoping to find something that could be useful for the group.

'This is crazy.' Weiss thought, 'Just a few hours ago, I thought Yang missing an arm was the worst part of the day.'

But it seemed that no matter how bad a day was, it could always get worse.

'At least this day can't get any worse.' Weiss thought.

"Weiss, watch out!"

Ruby pushed Weiss out of the way of a large rock spire that was about to fall on her.

'Okay, what did I do to the gods to make them this angry at us?!' Weiss thought, before going pale at seeing something.

"Ruby, when I say run, you go as fast as you can." Weiss said.

"What? Why-"

"That." Weiss said, pointing at the strange armored being with a large sword.

A being that looked like a mix of a large woman and beetle in metallic armor or scales. Weiss pulled Myrtenaster from her side and held it ready for a fight. The woman simply looked at Weiss, holding her own sword.

"RUN!" Weiss yelled.

Ruby took off in a full sprint, only to be stopped by the beetle woman.

Who appeared in front of Ruby like she had teleported!

"Whoa!" Ruby let out before using her semblance to run around her.

Only for the beetle woman to appear in front of her, attacking with a sword as Ruby jumped to dodge!

'She's so fast!' Ruby thought.

She thrusted her sword towards Ruby. Which Ruby quickly blocked as she pulled out Crescent Rose, but it nearly cracked it as Ruby was sent flying!

"Whoooa!" She let out before Weiss used her glyphs to catch her.

"I've got you!" She shouted.

The beetle woman appeared behind Weiss and grabbed her by the pony tail. She threw Weiss into a large rock formation. Weiss' vision was blurry but she was able to make out something... her ponytail had been ripped from her head and was still in the woman's hand. The beetle woman tossed the collection of hair to the side and rushed at Weiss with her sword drawn. Weiss struggled to get her weapon prepared and was almost impaled as she had to jump to the side. Weiss landed on the ground as the woman pulled her sword out of the rock. Weiss started to crawl away, only to be stabbed in the leg, pinning her to the ground.

"AHHHHHHH!"

"Weiss!" Ruby shouted.

Ruby's eyes flashed red for a brief second, and she rushed over to the woman. The collection of rose petals that was Ruby reformed in front of the woman and threw a punch right at her stomach. Time seemed to stop for a second... before Ruby pulled her hand away and fell to her knees.

"OWWWW!"

Every bone in her hand broke when she punched the armor. She doesn't even know why she did that, it wasn't like her. She didn't get much time to worry about that though, as the woman pulled her sword out of Weiss' thigh and raised it, ready to attack Ruby. Ruby quickly used her semblance and moved away from the strike. She was over by Weiss trying to get her up.

"Weiss, we need to get out of here!" Ruby said.

"Tell me that again when I'm not BLEEDING OUT!" Weiss screamed.

Acting fast, Ruby ripped off some of her cloak and tied it around the hole in Weiss' thigh before picking her up!

"There! That should hold!" Ruby said before rushing forward, dodging another attack from the beetle woman!

"We have to get out of here!"

"How!? Every time we try and run, she catches us!" Weiss said.

"I have an idea, but you may not like it." Ruby said, before whispering to Weiss, "Do you think you can walk long enough to make it back to our base?"

"If I'm close enough, wh-" Weiss realized what she had planned, "Ruby, don't you dare-"

Ruby used her semblance and carried Weiss with her close to their hole in the wall.

"Okay, Weiss, I am trusting you to make it back and warn the others." Ruby said.

"Ruby, don't do-"

"By the way, you look really good with short hair." Ruby said, making Weiss blush, "I'll be back... probably."

Ruby went back to fight the woman off to give Weiss a chance to make it back. By the time Weiss got her voice back Ruby was already gone.

"... Please come back." Weiss said, getting up and limping her way towards base.

(Line Break)

Weiss opened the wall and practically collapsed inside.

"Weiss?!"

Weiss was helped up by Blake and Jaune.

"What happened?!" Blake asked.

"Why is your leg wrapped up!?" Jaune asked.

"Where's Ruby?"

They looked and saw Yang leaning against the door frame, looking scared.

"She... we got attacked by... something." Weiss said, "It looked like a woman in armor, but she moved as fast as Ruby and hits as hard as Yang. She stabbed me in the thigh and ripped my hair out. Ruby... she brought me close... and went to buy me time to get back here."

Weiss was in tears by the end of her explanation.

"I... I don't know if she's going to come back!" Weiss said.

Yang went pale as she had to hold the door frame to avoid falling over. She had every memory of Ruby flashing before her eyes.

'My sister... my baby sister.' Yang thought, as tears formed.

Right then, the entrance opened and Ruby practically dropped in. Her hood was up, she was holding her stomach, blood dripped down from her head, and multiple small cuts and bruises could be seen.

"RUBY!" Yang yelled, running over to her and using her arm to pull her into a hug, "DON'T EVER SCARE ME LIKE THAT AGAIN!"

"Y-Y-Yang?" Ruby asked, very quietly.

Yang looked down as Ruby lowered her hood.

"I... I don't feel too good." Ruby said.

Yang had to bite back her scream. She was staring into an empty right eye socket that was gushing blood. Ruby's left eye had a vacant look in it, like the eyes of a veteran after getting back from combat. Along with the dark red bruises and other cuts, her more than likely broken ribs, and her aura shattered, Ruby was too tired to stay standing. She fell unconscious and went limp in Yang's arm.

"RUBY!" Yang screamed in horror, holding her sister close as everyone rushed from her scream.

They all gasped in shock of Ruby's state, but gasped even louder as they saw the very beetle woman that made her like this walk into the room. Holding a bloody and broken looking Crescent Rose in her left hand.

She tossed it on the ground, before looking at Yang.

"... Sparda." She said.

She pulled Ruby away and threw her to the ground, before stabbing Yang in the stomach.

"AHHHHHH!" Yang yelled.

The woman said nothing, she just looked at Yang as she yelled in pain. She held up a hand and grabbed the advancing Blake by the neck, holding her up above the ground. She let go of her sword as Yang fell to the ground. She looked at Blake and slammed her into the wall. The impact cracked the stone and made Blake gasp for air. The woman wasn't done as she delivered a strong punch to Blake's stomach, making her cough up blood. The woman let go of her neck and delivered a spin kick that sent her THROUGH the wall. Blake could barely breath and her vision was blurry, as she coughed up more and more blood.

"Blake!"

Pyrrha and Jaune charged at the woman with their weapons at the ready. Jaune swung his blade, while Pyrrha shoved her Javelin at the woman. The woman ducked and side stepped the sword spear combo, followed by a kick to the knee to Jaune. As he fell to a knee, the woman kicked Pyrrha's weapon from her hand before jumping and kicking Pyrrha in the head with a spinning high kick, knocking Pyrrha away. As Jaune tried to get his bearings, the woman grabbed his sword. She lifted the sword from his hand, and as a result, slammed the pommel into his nose, not only drawing blood from his nose, but breaking it as well. The woman was about to continue her assault on him when she felt something that felt similar to a pebble being thrown at her back. She turned and saw Pyrrha holding her rifle. She was bleeding from her ear and couldn't hear from it. The woman simply turned her head in confusion.

"Don't move... or the next shot will hurt more." Pyrrha said.

The woman took one step and was hit in the head by a large hammer. The woman was knocked away from Pyrrha and hit the wall. She fell to a knee and looked up, seeing Nora and Ren standing there.

"STAY AWAY FROM OUR FRIENDS!" Nora shouted.

"Or we'll kill you." Ren said coldly, aiming for the gaps in the beetle woman's armor.

Ren started firing, but the woman moved her hand to block the bullets, simply slapping them out of the air, before she rushed towards them. Nora attempted to slam her with the hammer, but she dodged it and kicked Nora in the back, sending her forward. This allowed her time to focus on Ren. Ren swung the blade of his guns at her but she dodged them and punched him in the stomach, followed by slamming her foot against the back of his knee. He fell to his knee and she grabbed him by the chin. Whatever she was about to do to him was stopped when Nora fired a grenade at her face. She was knocked back and let go of Ren, but Nora wasn't able to check on him as the woman recovered easily and rushed her. Nora switched her grenade launcher to the hammer form and went to swing it, only for the woman to catch the swing with ease.

'She's... stronger than me!' Nora thought, fear filling her eyes.

From behind, Pyrrha went for a sneak attack, not usually her style, but at this rate, she'll do whatever it takes to stop this woman. Sadly for Pyrrha, the woman pulled the hammer from Nora and slammed it right into Pyrrha's face, breaking most bones in her face and turning it into a bloody mess. Pyrrha was launched all the way into a wall and landed with a sickening thud.

"PYRRHA!" Nora yelled.

Before Nora could process it, the woman turned and hit Nora so hard in the side of the head that Nora's jaw broke... followed by the top of her hammer. Nora was knocked to the ground and could only breathe heavily as she tasted blood. She suddenly saw the woman above her, winding back and then she saw only darkness as the hammer was slammed against her head. The woman stood up and began to move from Nora's unconscious body, only for Ren to pick himself up and hold his guns towards her.

"Don't... move." He said.

The woman wasn't intimidated. She dodged his bullets and went to hit him with a spinning back elbow, but he managed to block it and delivered a kick to her stomach, only to feel immense pain to his leg. Her armor was nothing to mess around with. She took this chance to deliver several quick jabs to Ren's stomach, followed by dropping to a knee and slamming her hand, fingers extended and pressed tight against each other, right into his throat. The fingers felt like a knife jabbing his throat as he suddenly struggled to breathe. He coughed several times. He still didn't go down though, he tried to attack, only for the woman to duck under his attack and take his guns, before kicking him in the back of the leg. He fell to his back from the impact and the woman slammed the blades into his legs.

"GAAAAHH!" Ren let out.

The woman didn't stop as she slammed the hammer head against his head like she did with Pyrrha and Nora. Now he was taken out of the fight.

"Stop. Right. There!"

The woman turned and saw Weiss, barely able to put any weight on her injured leg, Myrtenaster pointed at her.

"You broke in here, hurt my friends, and stabbed me in the leg." Weiss said, glaring at the woman, "That alone would've been enough for you to get put on my hit list, but what you did to the girl I love is unforgivable!"

The woman just stood there, unfazed by Weiss' actions. Her silence annoyed Weiss.

"You said Sparda and attacked Yang. My theory is right then? She's a blood relative of him."

The woman said nothing.

"SAY SOMETHING DAMN IT!"

The woman simply walked towards Weiss. Weiss went on the offensive and rushed at the woman, blade out and ready to attack, only for her to be flipped over and landing back first on the ground. Weiss felt all the air leave her body upon impact. Weiss didn't stay down though, she got back up and started to use her weapon the only way she knows how... effectively. She slammed her blade into the woman several times, only for the woman's armor to hold. Weiss was starting to feel the pain of her leg and was struggling to get an advantage, but she didn't stop. She refused to let this woman walk away after everything she's done! Weiss went for another attack, only for the woman to slam her horn into Weiss' blade. The force knocked Weiss upwards and her body slammed against the roof and on the way down, the woman delivered a kick that knocked Weiss into the wall with enough force to crack it. Speaking of cracks, the woman picked up Weiss' blade and examined it, seeing a large crack in the blade where her horn hit. She then dropped the blade and went over to Yang. She pulled the sword out of Yang, and Yang was too tired to even muster a scream. Yang could barely even glare at her... but her exhaustion left the second the woman walked over to Ruby.

"N-n-no... don't... don't touch her!" Yang said.

The woman put her sword against Ruby's neck. The girl is still out cold so she doesn't even realize the danger she's in... but Yang did. All the memories of Ruby came flashing through Yang's mind and something in her snapped. The woman barely had time to turn around when she was punched with enough force to knock her to the other side of the room. She looked up and saw Yang, her missing arm replaced by an arm with sharp claws and yellow scales that became black towards the fingers, her eyes were glowing red and her teeth were sharp.

"Leave… her… alone." Yang said as she had a white glow over her that would turn red every now and then.

The woman simply stood up and put her sword back in its sheath. She raised her arm and threw down a smoke bomb, disappearing under the cover of smoke. Yang felt something in her and it was coming up.

"G... grrr... GAHHHHH!"

A bright flash filled the room and she was... different. For a split second, she was covered in yellow scales... but quickly returned to normal and passed out on the ground.

Chapter 3: Armed

Chapter Text

A few hours later, Blake was the first to wake up. She coughed up blood and spit it out onto the ground. She struggled to breath with her broken ribs, but knew she had to get to her feet or she may not make it.

'E-Everyone. I-I have to get back to everyone.' Blake thought, struggling to stand and barely able to stumble forward as if it was running. 'Please, by the gods, please let everyone be okay!'

She stumbled out and groaned. She held her ribs and hissed in pain. She tripped over something. That something... was Weiss.

"W-W-Weiss!?" Blake yelled.

She moved and shook her, which caused Weiss to groan as she opened her eyes.

"Bones... hurt." Weiss mumbled.

Blake helped Weiss up.

"Are you okay?" Blake asked.

"... I wish it was just my pride that was hurt." Weiss said, "I've got a lot of broken bones... I didn't even know I could break some of these bones."

Blake and Weiss used each other for support as they walked towards the small table that was in the place they were hiding in.

"We need to..."

Blake stopped talking when she saw a pile on the table.

"W-w-what is... what the hell is this?" Blake asked.

She set Weiss on a chair and looked at this stuff.

"Food... water... medical supplies... who put this stuff here!?"

"Who cares." Weiss said, "We're half dead, I'm pretty sure the others are even closer! We need to take whatever we can get!"

"But what if it's a trap? What if it's poisoned?" Blake asked.

"... We'd die either way." Weiss said, "It's been ONE day since we've been here and we've gotten our asses handed to us. We're beat, we're weak, we aren't going to survive anyway, so I'm willing to take the risk because the other option ends the same way."

Blake looked down. She had never heard Weiss sound so... broken. But also… so…right. Blake hated to admit it so much but they needed these supplies, doesn't matter where they came from. They needed to lick their wounds and think about what they're going to do next.

"…Can you stand? I might need a little help getting everyone in here." Blake said, holding her side.

"I... I'll be fine." Weiss said, "My main worry is Ruby and Yang. They took the worst of it."

Weiss got up and practically forced her body to get to Ruby. She was still out cold, her eye socket having long since stopped bleeding. Didn't stop the fact that she needed to get it wrapped up and disinfected before something happens that would result in her getting sick and dying.

'Like she did for me, I'll do for her.' Weiss thought as she grabbed her sleeves and ripped it off, planning to use it for an eye wrap. 'Maybe there's some disinfectant in the supplies.'

While Weiss was focused on Ruby, Blake went to Yang and noticed something.

"Weiss... how long does one take to heal from a sword to the stomach?" Blake asked.

"Aren't you the one that got stabbed? I feel like you would know more than me on that topic!" Weiss said, "Why?"

"Because mine healed with what little aura I had left, took a few hours, and left a scar... Yang is healed and there isn't so much as a scratch!"

"... She's a demon, Blake... She heals differently than us." Weiss said.

"Well so is Ruby but she's still injured." Blake said, slowly pulling Yang over.

"Her blood hasn't awakened yet, that's all." Weiss said, pulling Ruby over to the pile of food, water, and medical supplies, "Go check out the others."

Checking Yang one last time, Blake nodded to Weiss as she limped away in search of Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora, and Ren to make sure they were still breathing. Luckily, they were... but they were brutally injured. Blake may hate her time in the White Fang, but it did give her a bit of knowledge on certain injuries. She could tell that Nora had a broken jaw, and she could tell by the swelling in Pyrrha's ear that she wouldn't be able to hear from that ear. Whether or not it was permanent was something that she couldn't say unfortunately. She brought them over to the medical supplies before checking on Ren and Jaune. Thankfully, Ren was fairly uninjured. Stab wounds to the legs, and some swelling to the throat, but nothing too dangerous. Jaune however would be breathing from his mouth for a while with his nose a broken, bloody, mess.

'Jaune's not gonna be able to breathe properly for a while until his nose heals.' Blake thought, having dragged all of team JNPR back to the supplies.

"Alright, I think I'm done with Ruby's eye." Weiss said, "How are the rest? Who needs attention the most?"

"I'd say either Nora or Jaune." Blake said, "Ren was stabbed in the legs, but it didn't hit any arteries so we don't have to worry about him bleeding out, and there is some swelling in his throat but I can find out the severity of it until he wakes up. Pyrrha's ear is bleeding and she won't be able to hear out of it, but I can't tell if it's permanent or not. Nora and Jaune got the worst with Nora having a broken jaw and Jaune's nose being completely shattered."

"Okay, I'll take care of them if you can focus on cleaning up the blood from Pyrrha and Ren." Weiss said.

"I will." Blake said, grabbing some of the supplies, "We need to figure out what to do next."

"We will... later." Weiss said, "When everyone wakes up. Until then, we keep working, keep everyone safe and healthy."

Blake looked at Weiss. She saw the look in her eyes, a look that she rarely saw in the eyes of the Schnee heiress. Fear. Weiss held it down to help others, but Blake knew that Weiss was afraid. The fear of Beacon being attacked by Grimm, Atlas robots turning in everyone, a giant Grimm dragon appearing from a nearby mountain, suddenly transported to another world, and then getting nearly killed by some random demon for no reason?!

'The gods must really hate us for some reason to keep putting us in these situations.' Blake thought as she began training Ren's legs and swollen throat.

"... Fuck." Weiss said, pulling out several pieces of Nora's teeth, "She didn't hesitate. She just... with such ease... I-"

"Focus Weiss, we need to be the ones that are strong right now, we need to help them until they wake up." Blake said.

"I... I know but... I've NEVER seen someone fight so easily with so much brutality. It was like it was just a game to her. We... we were just toys to her. She didn't care if we got broken or not."

"…This is something they don't teach people in Huntsmen Academies, that fighting people is much worse than fighting Grimm sometimes." Blake said, turning to Weiss. "Bandits, criminals or even rouge huntsmen have more skill than Grimm and are more dangerous. Our sparring classes and the Vytal Festival don't cover person to person combat enough to make up the difference needed against a strong person in the real world."

"Or in this case, a humanoid demon dressed like a bug." Weiss said sourly.

"Or that, yes." Blake said, wiping the side of Pyrrha's head, "We'll have to be on the look out for that woman. We don't want to fight her, but if we can at least see her coming, we may stand a better chance."

"I don't think we can stand a better chance." Weiss said, wrapping up Nora's jaw, "She kicked our asses, and would've killed us given the chance. I don't know what stopped her, but judging by Yang being far from where she was stabbed, I'm assuming it has something to do with that blonde demon."

"... She... she may not be-"

"The woman said Sparda, then stabbed Yang." Weiss said, looking at Blake, "Yang. Is. A. Demon. That's the truth, whether or not you you want to believe it, that's up to you, but it's the truth."

Blake didn't say anything else, she just... she started crying. Weiss looked at her with worry in her eyes.

"Blake?"

She walked over to Blake. She got on her knees and put her hands on Blake's shoulders.

"Blake..." Weiss pulled the girl into a hug, "It'll be okay. We'll be okay."

"But... what if we aren't?! Like you said, she kicked our asses, she can attack us anytime she wants and we can't do a thing to stop her!" Blake yelled, "The worst part is that we've only been here for a few hours and we're already starving and are struggling with multiple injuries! We aren't going to survive the week, let alone make it back home!"

Weiss looked at Blake.

"... We'll make it. You know why? Because we're Huntresses in training. Huntresses don't give up, they don't quit, they don't know the meaning of the words. Ruby is the same way, that's why she is our team leader. With her, we'll make it through this."

Blake smiled and wiped the tears from her eyes.

"You sound like Ruby."

"What can I say? That girl has done more for my life in the last year than most people I've known my entire life." Weiss said, "... I didn't fall for her at random, I fell for her because she brings out the best parts of me, while also believing the bad parts can become good as well."

"A year ago the idea of Weiss Schnee hugging a faunus would've meant the world was ending."

"You're more than a faunus, Blake... you're my teammate... and one of my best friends." Weiss said, "Friends don't leave each other, so when I say we'll get through this together, I mean it. Now come on, we have to help the others."

Blake nodded and went back to helping Weiss clean the wounds of the others.

'Yeah, we'll get through this together.' Blake thought.

They heard a sound, it sounded like groaning.

"Ugh... I feel like I got hit by a truck." Yang said, getting up.

She stood up and looked over at Weiss and Blake, who were staring at her with mouths agape.

'That... wasn't there when I checked on her.' Blake thought.

"What? What are you guys looking at?" Yang asked.

"Y... your arm."

"What? Yeah, I lost it, what's so shocking about... that?"

Yang looked at her missing arm... only to see the demon arm was back. The shiny yellow scales that slowly turned into solid black skin, ending with sharp black claws that replaced her nails. Yang held her arm up and moved her fingers.

"I... w...w... what the fuck?"

Yang felt her heartbeat start to get faster and put the arm over her chest, accidentally drawing blood with her claws. Blake ran over and quickly grabbed the arm, pulling it away from Yang's chest.

"Yang, look at me, just focus on me." Blake said.

"I-I am trying, I really am but…LOOK AT MY FUCKING ARM RIGHT NOW! WHY IS IT LIKE THIS?! WHY DO I HAVE IT BACK IN THE FIRST PLACE?!"Yang shouted as panic and confusion were quickly setting in.

Yang fell to her knees and held her head as so many thoughts came into her head. Blake slowly grabbed her hands.

"Yang, listen to me, this doesn't change anything." Blake said, moving a hand to Yang's cheek, "You're still you. You're still the single most incredible, kind, and caring woman I've ever met. Crazy arm or not, you're still Yang Xiao Long and I..."

'Say it... come on, say it!' Blake thought, trying to will herself into a confession.

"I... I won't let you go through this alone." Blake said.

'Oh you fucking useless Bi.' Blake thought.

"... What am I?" Yang asked, afraid to look up at Blake.

Blake turned and sent Weiss a look.

"Tell her, Blake." Weiss said, "She deserves to know."

Blake let out a small sigh.

"Yang... you're... you're a demon." Blake said.

Yang heard that and just started crying.

"I... I can't be... it's... please, no!" Yang shouted.

Blake tried to comfort her, but Yang pulled away.

"S-s-stay away!" Yang yelled, standing up and pressing herself against the wall, "I... I don't want this!"

"Yang, just, please calm down." Blake said, "It's going to be okay."

"No it's not!" Yang said, "I'm... I'm a fucking freak! I'm a monster!"

Yang started to look around before rushing out the hidden entrance.

"Yang!" Blake said, trying to rush after her.

"Blake, no!" Weiss said, stopping her, "You have no aura right now, you'd die within minutes!"

"I don't care, I need to go after her!" Blake said, trying to fight out of Weiss' grasp.

"She'll be fine, she's strong, she's tough, she's a demon." Weiss said, "But if you go out, then you'll die, which will hurt Yang worse and result in us having less help in this dangerous world!"

Blake looked ready to fight her.

"Blake, please... just help help me finish up with the others and then I'll help you look for her." Weiss said, "Your aura should be fine by them."

Blake closed her eyes, mentally debating.

"Fine!" Blake said, "But the second we're done, we're going to look for her!"

"I know… we will." Weiss said, "But please… don't go rushing out there yourself, you'll get yourself killed."

"... She means so much to me, Weiss." Blake said, "She lost that arm trying to save me from Adam… I… I owe her so much."

"Blake, as your friend, I promise you, we'll bring her back… and we Schnee's don't go back on promises." Weiss said.

Chapter 4: Dangerous

Chapter Text

Yang kept running until her legs gave out. She couldn't think straight and she really couldn't handle what she was told. She looked at her arm and closed her fist, her arm shaking with rage.

"... GRRRAAAAHHHH!"

She threw a punch with her new arm and shattered a large rock that she punched.

'Why does this shit keep happening to me?! Why does bad and crazy shit always happen to me when I try to do the right thing?!' Yang thought as she punched the ground, cracking it.

Yang eventually stopped punching the ground and looked at her arm. In her head were all the things she was afraid of happening. Things like her becoming an outcast because of her arm. Her being seen as a monster... Ruby being afraid of her. That one specifically made her start crying... but she didn't get to for long. She heard a noise and saw several... demons... all holding weapons and looking at her with murderous intent. Yang glared and stood up.

"What? You want some of me?!" Yang asked, "Then come and get it!"

"ROOOOOAH!" Several demon roared as they charged at Yang.

Yang clenched her fists and charged at them. The first thing she did was slam her new fist into the face of one, sending it back a few dozen feet. Killing it along the way as it crashed into another, but that didn't stop any of them as another swung a sword at Yang! She blocked with her remaining Ember Celica before punch the demon with her new arm again, caving its face in! Yang turned and grabbed a demon by its face, before throwing it away.

"Flank her!" One demon shouted in a strange language that Yang could understand.

Several rushed around her, surrounding her. Yang activated her remaining Ember Celica. She rushed one and started shooting. She knocked them back with the blast, before turning using her demon arm to punch one coming towards her. He was knocked back as well and she picked up their weapon. She growled and rushed the others. She jumped and swung the short sword, slicing right through one. Two others came at her, but she started blocking with the sword, before cutting off both their heads. Yang threw the sword and hit another in the head with it.

"You fucks picked the worst day to try this!" Yang shouted.

Three others started to rush towards her. Yang cracked her knuckles and smirked. Her eyes turned red and her hair caught fire.

"Time to burn, bitches." Yang said.

Yang rushed and fired her weapon, it didn't do much, but the impact from her demon arm hitting them did a lot of damage.

'So dust doesn't work on these things? Crap but I guess it's a good thing I have this fucking demon arm!' Yang thought as she switched her stance, placing her right arm forward with a sway.

Two demons charged her and she swung their blades at her. Yang grabbed one of the swords with her demon arm and threw the demon over her shoulder. The other one made an attempt to attack Yang, but that only resulted in her grabbing them by the neck and being lifted off the ground. Yang then proceeded to slam the demon on the ground multiple times. She then threw it towards another one that attempted to rush her. Yang growled and looked at the others.

"Want to try again?" She asked.

"Kill her!" The clear leader said, "She harbors the blood of the traitor!"

More rushed her. Yang rolled her eyes and rushed towards them.

'These guys are demons? They're weak as hell!' Yang thought as she picked up the sword from a dead demon.

She threw it like a javelin and killed another one via the chest before Yang jumped into the air and pulled her demon arm back as her hair burned brightly with flames! She slammed her fist on the ground and sent fire around the area. Some of them were forced back while others powered through it, barely bothers Yang's flames.

"Die, human!" One shouted as it flew into the air and thrust a spear at Yang.

Yang caught it with her demon arm and crushed the handle by closing her fist around it.

"How about you die!?" Yang yelled.

She took the non broken point and stabbed it through the demon's head.

Then spins the dead body on the broken spear and slammed it down on another demon, caving their head in to make it look like a headless, two bodied being conjoined at the neck. She then let go and let it slam into another demon. Yang's eyes were getting more and more red. Her hair wasn't catching fire though, not that Yang cared, she only had this strange blood lust that needed to be quelled.

"WHO'S FUCKING NEXT?" Yang shouted at the remaining demons.

More demons rushed at her and she let out a scream and charged at them as well. A fire was in her eyes, and it was about to be unleashed!

(Line Break)

Ruby slowly opened her eye, feeling immense pain and fatigue.

"W... where am... what happened..."

"Ruby!"

Ruby looked and saw Weiss rushing over towards her.

"I was so worried!" Weiss said, hugging her.

"Weiss... is something over my eye? I can't see out of it." Ruby asked, feeling the wrap around her missing eye.

"Uh... about that... you kinda... lost it."

"L-Los-" Ruby then remembers what happened before she passed out and how she lost her eye.

The beetle armored woman.

"I… I think I'm going to be sick!" Ruby said, running to the closest thing to a trash can and started dry heaving.

"I know, Ruby. What's happened up to now…is too much to handle." Weiss said, moving over and rubbing circles on Ruby's back.

After a few minutes of trying to vomit up her empty stomach, Ruby finally stopped.

"Weiss... w... what happened?"

"... Everyone is hurt." Weiss said, "That woman came here and attacked us."

"…How bad is it?" Ruby asked.

"... Very bad." Weiss said, "The smallest injuries are broken bones. Others, like Nora, are bones that have been completely shattered. Even when the aura's recharge, it would take days to properly heal."

"And Yang?" Ruby asked.

"Completely fine, apparently her demon blood completely healed her. Blake was right, Yang and you are of the Sparda bloodline." Weiss said as Ruby looked around for her sister.

"Where is she?" She asked.

"... We don't know." Weiss said, "She had a panic attack and ran away."

"A panic attack? I guess I could understand that if I suddenly learned I was a part demon." Ruby said.

"You…kind of just did." Weiss said.

"Oh I'm very shocked. I'm just too concerned with our friends to care." Ruby said.

"Listen... I'm sure Yang is fine. It's Yang, she's practically invincible."

(Line Break)

Yang clenched her demon fist, crushing a demon's windpipe into a bloody pulp. She dropped the body and glared at the remaining ones.

"Want to keep going!?" Yang yelled, "I'll put you in the ground like the rest of them!"

The other demons moved, letting a massive demon comes in, dual wielding two massive axes. Yang looked up at him and cracked her knuckles.

"This'll be fun!"

Yang rushed at him and threw a punch... feeling the bones in her new arm crack upon impact.

"AAAAAAH FUCK!" Yang shouted in pain before-

BAM!

She was slapped away by the flat side of an axe, sent crashing across the ground before smashing into a boulder! She coughed up blood as she picked herself up.

"Oh... everything hurts." Yang said, before seeing the demon rushing towards her.

Yang quickly used her remaining Ember Celica to amplify her jump. Launching her away at a high speed, just fast enough to avoid being part of the boulders shattered remains when the demon's axe hit it.

'Oh shit.' Yang thought, 'This isn't good.'

"Where is all that bravado from before, Sparda Spawn?!" The ace demon shouted at her, clashing his axes together.

Yang clenched her fists as she was forced to dodge the axes. Once she did, she slammed her fist into the demon, but it was the same as before. It was like punching an Atlas Paladin. Only unlike with Roman, this one won't break with just a few punches and her semblance.

'Really wish I could use my semblance right now!' Yang thought before dodging another axe swing!

Sadly, while that one was swung at her, the other was swung from behind. Yang barely noticed it in time to dodge, but she was fast enough to get to a point that getting hit won't kill her. She was hit in the back and knocked to the ground from it.

"Ugh... I'm getting VERY pissed off right now." Yang said.

She tried to get back up, but was grabbed by the neck before she could. The demon was so big that his hand filled enveloped Yang's neck. Yang was turning blue from how tight the grip was.

"Sparda's kin... weakling."

He slammed her on the ground like she was a sack of potatoes. Yang breathed heavily as her bones broke upon impact... but it only got worse. The demon slammed one axe into her shoulder, while another one hit her stomach.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!"

"Does the blood of that traitor really run through your veins?" The demon asked, "Or has it mingled with your weak race so much that you are no better than one."

The demon pulled the axes out and kicked Yang into a large rock. Yang's vision was blurry, but she could make out the demon walking towards her. Yang gathered as much strength as she could and got to her feet. She used her demonic arm and tried to punch him, but he grabbed her by the arm and threw her to the side.

"Where's the fire that Sparda had? Do you carry it or are you just wasting my time?"

Yang tried to get back up, but both axes hit her back.

"AHHHHHH!"

He lifted her up by the axes and threw her off of them.

"Weak. Pathetic. Worthless." The demon said.

The demon grabbed Yang by the hair and slammed her head against the ground, before throwing her to the side, making her land on the ground with a thud. Yang tried to crawl away, but wasn't able to as she was flipped over, and grabbed by the neck. She was deadlifted off the ground and started to turn blue from the strength of the demon's hold. She flailed and tried using her legs to kick him and used her arms to punch his arm.

"I'm beginning to think that we got the wrong girl." The demon said, "Maybe we should go after the girl in the red hood that was found."

Yang went still… before her demon arm reached out and grabbed him by the neck. She started choking him. The demon tried to use his other arm to hit her, but Yang grabbed it and then headbutted the demon. She doesn't care if it caused her to start bleeding from her head, it resulted in her being let go of and him stumbling back. Yang landed on her feet and glared at him.

"Don't… touch… Ruby." Yang growled, "Or else… your death will be long, slow, and painful."

The demon smirked and lifted his axes.

"There's the fire." He said, "Now we have a fight!"

Yang growled and rushed in. She jumped and slammed her fist into the demon's head. He was dazed and knocked back a bit. She then ran and began to punch him in the stomach multiple times, though that didn't do too much. He swung an axe at her, but Yang dodged it, only to be met by the broadside of the other axe to her face. She was knocked to the ground, but used the momentum of the fall to roll herself back onto her hands and get up.

"That all you got?" Yang asked.

The demon swung at her, but she dodged it with speed that Ruby was supposed to have. He tried to swing his axe again, but she grabbed it with her demon arm. Yang pulled it away from him and slammed it into his shoulder.

"HOW DO YOU LIKE IT!?" Yang yelled, "NEVER THREATEN TO TOUCH MY SISTER AGAIN!"

The demon let out a short growl. He pushed her away and pulled his axe out of his shoulder. He swung both axes at her with speed and fury. Yang dodged each attack and would hit him before the rebound could happen. Sadly, Yang could tell her anger, and by association, her strength was going away. Even worse… the demon could tell as well. He chuckled and slapped her with the broadside of the axe. Yang was knocked away but got ready to fight again.

'I'm not going to let them kill me… and I'm sure as hell not going to let them touch Ruby.'

Yang rushed in and got her fist ready to punch, but she noticed that the demon's swing would hit her before her punch would hit, so she decided to go on the defensive. Yang switched her punch to a block. The axe hit Ember Celica. The impact knocked her back, but she remained on her feet. She looked at her arm, seeing it to be fine, but… Ember Celica was destroyed.

'Damn, now both of them are gone.' Yang thought, angrily.

Yang looked and saw an axe blade coming towards her. She was able to avoid it… almost.

'... Something is wrong… and I'm hoping it's not what I think it is.' Yang thought, bringing her right arm to the right side of her head.

The second she touched her head she hoped it was her claws telling lies, because she could feel her head a lot easier than she should've normally. She turned and looked… seeing a large pile of hair on the ground. On one side of her head, her hair was normal, on the other… short, uneven, and not on her head. Yang's arm dropped to her side as she looked at her pile of missing hair. The demon laughed.

"What's wrong, giving up? Well just stand there and-"

Yang looked up, eyes glowing red and a deep growl coming from her throat.

"GRAAHHHHHHHHHH!"

It wasn't just a roar that came from Yang… fire came from her mouth. Lots of fire. So hot and so much, that by the time she stopped breathing fire, there wasn't even ash left of the demon. Just molten metal from the axes. Yang looked at the demons that surrounded her. They weren't going to just watch and run. Yang moved like she was an animal, like a beast… like she was possessed. In the blink of an eye, Yang rushed to one demon and slammed his head into the ground!

Or at least what was left after it exploded into paste! Then grabbing the leg, Yang swung the body around at high speed before throwing like a boomerang!

"LOOK O-" two demons were hit in the chest, exploding in a shower of blood as Yang charged at the rest!

She then rushed at more and used her demon arm to cut them into ribbons. One tried to rush Yang with a halberd!

"You monster!" He shouted as he swung but Yang blocked and block the blade with her demon arm!

Yang pulls the halberd from the demon and stabs him with it. She lifts polearm and threw the demon off it with a swing. Sadly for the demon, he was still alive... Yang is all too glad to change that. She used her normal arm to grab the demon's neck and used her demon arm to reach into the open wound and start pulling out the intestines of the demon.

"AHHH! AHHHHHHHH!"

Yang didn't care about the screaming. In the last 24 hours, her and her friends had been brutalized and nearly crippled, and crippled in her case, she was ALL too happy to return the favor.

"Who's hungry?!" Yang asked before force feeding the demon their own intestines!

Once done, she stood up and looked at the other demons. Her claws were dripping blood. The red sticking out from the black skin of her fingers and the bright yellow scales of her arm. She clenched her fist, still holding an intestine. The sound was a disgusting wet squelch as she crushed it. Her eyes burned red with fury. The other demons were worried... they didn't realize she was so vicious.

"W-What do we do now, captain?" One demon asked nervously to another.

"... We retreat... hopefully."

Hearing this, Yang turned to their direction as both demons flinched, roaring as she rushed at them with her claws scrapping against the ground!

"Everyone, retreat, no-"

He didn't finish as Yang's claws sliced his head off.

"SI-" Yang grabbed his face with her human hand and ripped his jaw clean off!

Yang looked at the rest of the demons and opened her mouth, breathing fire at them.

"Aaaaaah!" They screamed in agony as they were all burned to ash.

All but one as he used his shield to endure the flames but still getting burned. He didn't get lucky though. Because Yang would just make his death more painful.

"And then there was one." Yang said.

Yang walked over to him, the demon too scared to run, petrified in fear. Yang glared at him, before grabbing him by the head with her demon arm. She lifted him up and held onto his leg and pulled him apart. His blood landed all over the ground and Yang dropped the two halves. Once that was done, she stumbled.

"What... just... happened?"

Yang then collapsed.

Chapter 5: Found

Chapter Text

They agreed a small group of three should go look for Yang. That's how Blake, Ruby, and Pyrrha were out looking. Not only were they the least injured, but they were arguably the most skilled when it comes to combat, and since Ruby's weapon was destroyed, she could use her semblance and rush everyone back in case they ran into trouble.

"Look for any tracks. Yang's boot prints should still be fresh." Blake said as she searched the ground.

"And if you see bodies on the ground, likely because of her as well." Ruby added.

"Dead or alive?" Pyrrha asked, keeping her weapon in rifle mode and aimed for anything moving.

"…Dead. We're in a demon world, so we pray it's dead." Ruby said.

The walk was quiet, no one wanting to speak, or else they risk inhaling more of the toxic gas... plus... there wasn't much to say. They were hurt, some more than others, and weren't sure if they'd make it to tomorrow. At least... that was the plan until Pyrrha saw something.

"I see blood." Pyrrha said, rushing ahead.

"Careful, it could be a trap!" Blake said.

"Does it look like human blood or demon blood?" Ruby asked.

"I think it's demon blood, it has a purplish tint to it." Pyrrha said.

"From what we know about Yang, that doesn't do much to tell us who's blood it is." Blake said, setting Gambol Shroud to its gun mode, "Ruby, stay close. You don't have your weapon and you're missing an eye, we can't let you get hurt."

Ruby let out a sigh but nodded to Blake, hating how useless she was without a weapon in her hands.

'I hate that I never accepted Yang's and dad's offer to learn to fight without Crescent Rose.' Ruby thought as the trio began following the trail of blood.

What they found made them horrified. There was hundreds of bodies and blood all over the place, along with a lot of ash and broken and burnt weapons.

"What... happened here?" Pyrrha asked.

"I'm seeing this correctly, right?" Ruby asked, rubbing her eye, "It's not just my new vision problems?"

Blake looked around, before seeing a large clump of blonde hair on the ground. She felt her heart stop and she fell to her knees.

'Please no... don't tell me that Yang is...'

Slowly, Blake reached out and picked up the hair. It felt exactly how Yang had it, soft yet fragile and delicate.

Blake held it close to her, trying to calm herself, when she suddenly heard Pyrrha's gun go off. Blake turned and saw a massive demon beast coming towards them.

"Blake, move!" Ruby said, as the beast was going to get to her before Ruby could.

Blake tightened her fist, clenching the hair.

'Did you do it?' Blake thought, 'Did you kill her?'

Blake reached for her weapon, only for a yell to fill the air.

"AHHHHH!"

Yang jumped down from a rock pile and slammed her demon fist into the demon's head, knocking it down. Yang got on the ground and put her demon arm in its mouth, before throwing the demon beast away from Blake.

"YANG?!" Everyone shouted in shock, awe, and relief that she was alive and she just threw a giant demon to the side like it was nothing!

Yang completely ignored them and just cracked her knuckles.

"I've killed a lot of you fucks in the last hour, what's one more?" She asked.

She ran at the demon and tackled it to the ground, before punching it with her demon arm.

"ROOOAH!" The demon roared in pain before Yang punched it again!

"SHUT UP!"

Yang held it by the lower jaw with her normal arm, while grabbing the upper jaw with her demon arm. She used all her strength and ripped it apart. The blood gushed out and made her friends flinch back.

"Yang?" Ruby said.

Yang turned and looked, seeming to snap out of her anger upon seeing Ruby.

"Ruby? You're..."

Yang quickly held her demon arm behind her back.

"Yang, are you okay?" Ruby asked, moving closer to her sister.

"Me? W-What about you? Your eye." Yang said, ignoring her new arm.

"Yang... my vision may be bad now, but don't for one second think I didn't see you rip a demon in two." Ruby said, "Which wouldn't be strange... except for the fact that I just saw you use TWO hands!"

"Ruby, I-"

"Yang, show me your arm."

Yang closed her eyes and let out a deep sigh through her nose. She held up her demon arm for Ruby to see. Ruby moved closer to get a better look at the scales and the sharp nails, even running her hands slowly across the surface to feel them.

"You lost your arm... and it was replaced by this." Ruby said, grabbing the black skin on Yang's new hand, "... Think I'll get a new eye then?"

"… … …Honestly, that would be nice, but I hope you don't have demon blood like me." Yang admitted.

"A bit too late for that." Pyrrha said.

"There's no evidence of it." Yang said, quickly.

"Aside from the demon woman that kicked all of our asses earlier?" Blake asked rhetorically.

"That doesn't prove anything." Yang said, "Look, c-c-can we just get back to that hole we call a base? I've been- Cough Cough- out here too long."

"Yang's right. Despite being half demon, it seems she's still affected by Makai's toxic air." Blake suggested, pulling out her scroll to check their aura levels, "You're lucky you're even alive right now. Your aura is basically at zero."

"I have a feeling that's going to be a common thing with us." Ruby said.

"Let's just hurry back. No doubt our friends are worried sick about us." Pyrrha said, still on the look out for anything else that would try to kill them.

"Yeah, plus, I don't like being out here with no weapon." Ruby said, "Yang, where's your weapon?"

"Uh... the pieces of it are over there." Yang said, pointing to the broken parts of her weapon, "I only had the one after my arm got cut off by that annoying sword fuck."

"Please don't bring that up again." Blake said, still feeling guilty about what Adam did to Yang.

"I hope we can find a way to shower... Yang smells a LOT like blood." Ruby said.

"Well I slaughtered a lot of those fucks." Yang countered, "You try keeping blood off when you rip someone in half!"

"And the charred bodies?" Blake asked, "I doubt your semblance was able to be effective based on how easily we got destroyed by that one woman."

"Well, one, we didn't really use our semblances on her, second... I can breathe fire." Yang said, "... I don't know how, but I BREATHED... FIRE!"

"…Honestly, you could say that's part of your semblance and I would believe you." Blake said.

"…Did you just make a joke?" Yang asked with a grin.

"Yeah, the toxic air is getting to me." Blake said.

"I'm still happy you made a joke." Yang said with a smile, feeling a lot better now.

'And I'm happy you're still you, Yang.' Blake thought as Ruby picked up the pieces of Yang's Ember Celia.

"Yeah... this will take a lot more than a screwdriver to fix." Ruby said, "The chamber has been broken in two, what did you use this for?"

"I blocked an axe." Yang said.

Ruby's eye nearly bulged out of its socket at that sentence.

'... You don't deserve this type of engineering perfection!' Ruby thought.

"Would that be the axe you blocked, by chance?" Pyrrha asked, glancing at a very large axe that used to belong to a large demon.

"Yup, that's one of them." Yang said with a nod.

"I guess you… breathed fire at him?" Blake asked.

"Yep! Fucker deserved it for cutting my hair off!" Yang shouted.

"Oh course he did…but it does still kind of look good." Ruby said, glancing at Yang's now half shaven head.

'And you kind of deserve it for ruining your weapon!' Ruby thought.

"It wasn't even cut evenly, and it feels weird!" Yang argued.

"If you want, I'm good with hair, I could help get it a little bit more even on the cut side." Blake said.

"Really?" Yang asked.

"Of course. You think maintaining my hair is easy?" Blake asked.

"Or mine, since it's much longer than both of yours." Pyrrha added randomly.

Ruby then noticed something.

"Hold on… so I'm the only disabled one in the group now!?"

"…" the other three didn't know how to reply to that right now without upsetting Ruby.

So for the rest of the way back to the hidden cave, they walked in silence.

Especially the one who has been watching Yang's rampage while flying in the air.

All while thinking about how strong Yang had become. She was strong, yes, but she lacked discipline. She fought like a beast and one day she may get put down like one. The beetle woman flew away, thinking about the group. She needed to strike again... before they got TOO powerful. Her plans may fail if she doesn't do this right.

Chapter Text

At the cave, Ruby sat down, feeling annoyed. Not just because she was weapon-less and Yang's own weapon was destroyed fighting demons, but because she was right. Appearance wise, she was the most jacked up out of all of her team and sister team, JNPR.

'How can I be a leader? I'm half blind, weaponless, and I can't do anything but run away hand to hand combat comes up.' Ruby thought

She glanced up to see everyone was awake, but still recovering.

Ren was feeding Nora some food so she could regain her strength.

Pyrrha and Jaune were trying to "repair" Ruby's weapon using the former's Polarity semblance.

Yang was currently sitting in a chair as Blake was trying to fix what was left of her hair.

"You okay?" Weiss asked, walking up to Ruby.

"Y-y-yeah, just... I don't know what to do." Ruby said, "This whole situation is a mess."

"Yeah, we have TWO people with messed up hair." Weiss joked, sitting next to Ruby, "But seriously, we'll find a way to survive this."

"Will we?"

"Ruby, I've known you a while now, I've been your partner for a while as well... I know that you tend to let your skill shine in battle. If anyone can find a way home and fight against this dangerous world, it's you."

Ruby felt anger boiling up.

"But I can't do that now." Ruby said, agitation evident in her voice, "I am able to fight with a weapon, but without it, I can't fight."

"Ruby-"

"I'm not like you, Weiss." Ruby said, standing up, "I can't just fight without a weapon, I'm not trained enough with dust like you, I can't sneak my way around people like Blake, all I can do is run! That's all I am good at now!"

"Ruby, that's-"

"If you lose your weapon, you can still use your semblance! If Blake loses her weapon, she was part of a damned terrorist group and can easily handle anything herself! Yang lost her weapon and she took out an entire hoard of demons by herself! Me? I can move fast. Not very good in combat!"

Weiss looked a bit scared, not because Ruby, the calm and happy girl was yelling, but because she noticed that her eye started flashing red for a brief second.

'It's... it's like her demon nature is trying to come out but something is holding it back.'

Ruby just stormed off to another room. Weiss was still for a bit.

"Well, looks like that didn't go well." Yang said, walking over, "Hey, Weiss, what do you think?"

Weiss looked over and saw Yang's new hairstyle. A bit shorter than usual, and the part that had been cut was shaved more evenly.

"... I'm worried about Ruby." Weiss said.

Yang let out a sigh.

"Yeah... how about you let Blake give you a hair cut? I mean you did have an entire ponytail ripped off."

"Thanks for the reminder, my scalp is still screaming." Weiss said, "Besides, what about-"

"I will go deal with Ruby." Yang said, "If anyone can handle her, it's me."

"Is that because you're stronger now due to being part demon?" Weiss joked.

"No because I'm her sister but I like what you did." Yang said with a grin before pushing Weiss towards Blake. "Now go get a new hairdo while Ruby and I have a sisterly talk."

Weiss rolled her eyes and went over to Blake.

Ruby was down the stairs, trying to throw a rock at a certain part of the wall, but was struggling, resulting in her getting more angry. She threw the rock again but it was too far to the right.

"UGH! Why am I so fucking weak?!" Ruby shouted in frustration!

She kicked the table out of frustration but regretted it as her foot throbbing was a reminder that it was solid rock.

"OW! Owowowowowowow!"

Ruby just fell to the ground and put her head in her hands.

"… Well that was entertaining." Yang said, leaning against the doorway.

"Go away, Yang." Ruby muttered.

"Not a chance for two reasons. One, because you need someone to talk to. And two, because I want your opinion on my new hair style." Yang said, walking up to Ruby.

"I don't give a fuck about hair right now Yang! We could literally die tomorrow and there's not a thing I can do to stop that from happening!"

"You could stop sounding like a sore loser." Yang said blankly.

"HA! Like you have any right to judge me!" Ruby shouted as she turned to Yang.

"I don't know where this Ruby came from but I really don't like her." Yang said, crossing her arms.

"Yang, we are going to fucking die here... hell, we almost have already. MULTIPLE TIMES. It's only been a day." Ruby said, "So forgive me for not having the fucking ability to handle this!"

"Ruby, how about you-"

"Shut. Up." Ruby growled, "Yang... I am missing an eye. Cresent Rose was destroyed. I am a liability."

"No you aren't." Yang said.

"YES I AM!" Ruby shouted, "I can't fight, I can't lead-"

Ruby picked up the rock she was throwing.

"I can't even throw properly because I don't have depth perception!" Ruby yelled, throwing the rock to the ground, "How can I be a leader if I can't even do something as simple as look properly?!"

Ruby tried to storm out... but Yang grabbed her by the cape.

"Nuh uh. You're not leaving." Yang said.

"Let go of me Yang."

"Technically I'm not touching you." Yang said, "It's your cape."

"Technically, I couldn't give two shits." Ruby said, pulling her cape from Yang. Yang responded by grabbing her shoulder.

"Where did you learn this bad language from?" Yang asked, as if she didn't know it was from her.

"None of your business, let me sulk in peace so that we can all get to the dying part." Ruby said, brushing Yang's arm off.

Yang was getting annoyed. As Ruby tried to leave again, Yang used her demon arm to grab her wrist.

"I am getting really tired of-"

Ruby suddenly turned and punched Yang right in the nose. Yang stumbled back, not because the punch was with that much force, but because she never expected Ruby of all people to clock her like that. Even Ruby seemed shocked, she looked at her hand as it started shaking.

"Yang?"

Yang didn't say anything, she just brought her arm to her nose and touched it. She felt something and looked down at her hand. Red blood stood out against the black skin. She just looked at the blood on her claws.

"Yang, I-I-I didn't... I'm-"

Ruby fell to the ground as Yang's head slammed against hers. Ruby looked up and saw red eyes looking back at her.

"Get up, Ruby." Yang growled.

"Yang, I-"

"GET UP!"

Yang grabbed Ruby by her cloak and lifted her off the ground. She then pushed Ruby against the wall with force. Ruby barely had time to look up as Yang walked over to her, fist clenching.

"Wait! Wait! I don't want to fight you!" Ruby shouted with her hands up

"You say that but to me, it seems like you NEED to fight." Yang said, cracking her knuckles.

Yang threw a punch that Ruby barely dodged.

"Yang, please-"

Yang sent another punch at Ruby, this time connecting with Ruby. Ruby was knocked to the ground, feeling her nose hurt as well. Yang didn't let up, she pulled Ruby back up and threw her against the wall, before slamming multiple fists into Ruby's stomach. Ruby hunched over from all the punches and Yang lifted her knee right into Ruby's face. Yang grabbed Ruby by the back of the head and threw her over the table. Ruby's vision was fuzzy, her nose was bleeding, and she was coughing from all the strikes to her stomach. Yang marched around the table.

"Are you going to hit back?! Where did all that energy and anger you had a minute go!?" Yang shouted.

"I-I-I won't fight my sister." Ruby said.

"Right now... I'm not your sister... I'm your opponent." Yang said, kicking Ruby in the side.

"Ugh!" Ruby groaned again, almost spitting up what was left in her stomach.

Yang looked at Ruby and grabbed her by the cloak. She lifted her up with her demon arm and looked at her.

'You're going to hate me for this.' Yang thought.

"I wonder how much disappointment mom would feel if she could see you just giving up." Yang said.

That seemed to be the breaking point as she saw Ruby's eye flash red. Ruby grabbed Yang by the hair and slammed her head into Yang's. Yang let go and was then hit by Ruby right across the face.

"Don't you dare talk about mom!" Ruby shouted, before tackling Yang, "You don't get to talk about her!"

Ruby began unleashing a flurry of fists onto Yang. Yang covered her face with her arms.

'Finally, now we can get a good fight going.'

Yang dodged a punch and sent a hook to Ruby's chin. Ruby was knocked off Yang, disorienting her but she shook it off!

"RAAAH!" Ruby screamed, jumping and dropkicking Yang in the chest!

Sending her skidding back to a wall!

Yang smirked and looked at Ruby.

'Where was this when I tried training her before beacon?'

Ruby jumped at Yang for another kick but the blonde woman dodged it as Ruby's foot hit a rock wall. Clearly a bit hard as she suddenly wasn't able to put much weight on it. Yang didn't waste time. She grabbed Ruby and put her arm behind her back. She then slammed Ruby into the wall.

"Think you can really take me on?" Yang asked, "How about you do what you've always done and run away?"

"Shut up!" Ruby yelled, slamming her head into Yang's face.

Yang was dazed by that and let go of Ruby. Ruby then kicked Yang's leg, making her knee buckle, before she kicked Yang in the stomach!

'Okay, so she favors kicks. Should've known.' Yang thought.

Yang looked and smirked.

'She's still favoring that one leg... weak point.' Yang thought.

Ruby threw another kick but Yang caught her leg, spinning Ruby around before slamming her into the floor!

"WEAK!" Yang shouted with a grin.

"I'll show you weak, you blonde bitch!" Ruby said before she exploded in a burst of red rose petals!

This scared Yang about as she stumbled back, watching all the petals swarm around her like killer bees!

'What the hell is she-'

Yang felt a hit in the back, followed by one hit to the face, then one to her side. Ruby moved faster than ever before, delivering punch after punch to Yang all while she can't do anything to stop it. Yang was hit everywhere. The head, the stomach, the legs, the arms, her tits... she thought that one was unnecessary... everywhere. It came to an end, Ruby was exhausted, but still felt the need to gloat.

"Yeah... how was... that... bitch?" Ruby asked between breathes.

She then noticed that Yang was looking at the ground, not moving, not saying anything. Ruby looked at Yang's feet and saw something that made her go pale...

...

...

...

...

...

...

A single Blonde hair.

"... Yang?" Ruby asked, all anger and confidence replaced with fear.

Yang looked up, eyes fully red, not semblance style, demonic style. Before Ruby knew it, Yang's demon arm wrapped around her neck and held her a good two feet above the ground.

"YOU…" Yang said, her voice echoing like she was speaking in a tunnel. "…HAVE COMMITTED AN ATROCIOUS CRIME."

Yang hit Ruby so hard that she cracked the rock wall once she hit it.

"Ugh!" Ruby groaned before gasping as Yang came for a follow up!

Acting on instinct, Ruby burst into petals as Yang punched the wall with her demon arm! Further cracking it!

'Too close!' Ruby thought, reforming on the other side of the room.

Yang charged her and grabbed her by the waist. She slammed Ruby into the wall, before punching her in the stomach. Once, Twice, Three times Ruby was punched in the stomach, before uppercutting her. Blood came out of Ruby's mouth with the hit. Yang then pulled her close and put her into a chokehold. She proceeded to slam Ruby into the ground. Ruby no longer had any fight left. Yang wasn't happy. She flipped Ruby over and lifted her up by the cloak.

"Come on! Are you just going to let those bastard come in and kill you next time?!" Yang yelled, "I've tried being nice with training in the past, but I can't trust you to fight by yourself! Come on, fight like a demon!"

"What makes you think I'm a demon!?" Ruby shouted back, "What if you get it from Raven!?"

"Your eye flashes red when you get mad! Unless you somehow copied my semblance, you're a fucking demon like me!"

"No, I'm not!" Ruby shouted, kicking Yang in the chest but she wasn't let go yet.

Yang slammed her back into the ground.

"ENOUGH!" Yang shouted, "You're a demon, just like me! Which means we're the only ones able to fight back and have even a small chance of surviving this world!"

"But I can't without-"

"You just fought like a maniac less than a minute ago! You can handle yourself just fine without Crescent Rose!" Yang shouted at Ruby, "Now are you going to stop fucking around or do I have to break more bones!?"

Ruby grunts before bursting into rose petals again, reforming behind Yang and dropkicking her in the back of the head but she didn't move an inch!

"Again with the hair?!" Yang shouted in anger.

Yang backhanded Ruby with her demon arm, slamming her into the wall. Ruby grunted as she hit the wall, and then fell to the floor. Yang walked up to her and stepped on the back of her neck.

"You calm down yet?" Yang asked.

"Yes?" Ruby asked with a wince.

"Good... get up." Yang said, "Tomorrow I will start teaching you how to fight, and this time, there's no running away."

"Ugh, okay." Ruby said with a groan.

'Not like there's anywhere to run too outside of this place.' Ruby thought as Yang pulled her to her feet.

"By the way." Yang held onto Ruby's cape and pulled her close, "Try something like that with me again... and I will hurt you."

"…You're still hurting me now, Yang." Ruby said in a higher pitch.

"Then I'll hurt you EVEN MORE." Yang said with a glare.

Yang let her go and walked away from Ruby. Once she was gone, Ruby's legs gave out.

"HUH! I can't believe I actually got into a Fist fight with Yang." Ruby said with a large exhale, "That was the scariest thing I've ever done."

For just a moment, little Ruby forgot she was in another dimension and that there would be COUNTLESS other dangers here besides an angry sister. She picked herself up, unsure of what the next day would bring.

'At least the next day could always be better.' Ruby thought.
