Love, Family, and Business

Summary:

Ted had wanted Tim for as long as he knew what it meant to want someone, but over the years he's been forced to give up hope until one night changes everything.

Notes:

Since this fandom is very kid oriented I want this to be my disclaimer to PLEASE READ THE TAGS. The back button is always available. This is an unrealistic depiction of incest and is not meant to romanticize incest in real life. Please read with caution and take care of yourself. On a separate note: DON'T LIKE DON'T READ, I will delete hate comments because I expect everyone to behave maturely.

OK, now for those who plan to read: This is a pretty chill fic all around but it does have cheating on Tim's part towards Carol, no Carol bashing (because I don't wanna), and switching POV between Ted and Tim as they explain their feeling over years (including both movies and tv series). I will cover long stretches of time via time jumps so hopefully those make sense. Tim being an omega will be the one getting pregnant and while there are mentions of it as well as a non-graphic birthing scene I did wish to warn readers before hand.

The style of omegaverse I've gone with has omegas being feminized, so you'll see certain nods to that throughout. I also haven't seen the shows recently so if you see any inaccuracies feel free to let me know. Additionally for the sake of context: incest is frowned upon in the society my story is set in due to it not being sustainable long term, but most people don't care about incest between consenting adult that result in children as in this world those kids don't have any birth defect (Unlike in our world were biologically incest is always a bad idea).

If you feel I've missed a tag let me know so I can fix it, otherwise enjoy!

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Prologue

The sunlight that shone through the window was accompanied by the sound of birds chirping as Tim awoke in his comfortable bed and stretched. He sat in the silence for a moment, still half asleep, and content to bask before reality set in. Today was the day! Yesterday his parents had brought home his new baby brother and today was the first day he’d be able to spend the whole time playing with him. He had so many cool adventures they could go on and he didn’t know where to begin.

He rushed to the bathroom to prepare for the day, imagining a whole morning's worth of fun they could have as he brushed his teeth. He quickly and quietly made his way over to Teddy’s room. He knew that now that he was a real baby his brother might not be able to handle things the way he used to, so he carefully turned the handle of the door to open it a sliver. Inside he found Teddy quietly laying, attempting to stuff his little foot in his mouth.

He walked in trying not to startle him, and soon was looming over the side of the crib. Teddy looked up at him with his vibrant green eyes and love filled his heart at the sight of the gummy smile he received. He carefully scooped his brother up, cradling his tiny body close as he began exiting the room. Before he could go Teddy made a soft noise, it wasn’t a yell or cry but his distress was evident. Tim stopped looking down to see what was wrong, then realized that his brother probably wanted breakfast so he rushed out to find his parents. The morning was as perfect as he thought it would be, and by the time they were tucking Teddy in that night Tim couldn’t help but be grateful that he’d gotten a second chance at having a brother.

Tim starts college

Chapter Text

Chapter 1

As he walked from his Basic Math 2 class towards the cafeteria Tim couldn’t help but miss his family. They had been so wonderful to return to over winter break, and getting to get back into the swing of traditions helped restore his spirit for the new semester.

As an omega it was important to his family that he get to go to school and get a degree so he wouldn’t depend on his alpha for anything, and yet a part of him couldn’t help but wish for the domestic life of a stay at home parent. The problem as always was him. His weirdness and inability to keep his head out of the clouds made it hard to connect to anyone his age. Kids liked him but anytime he tried to talk to his fellow college freshmen he felt like they turned their noses up at his immature behavior.

He had tried toning it down, but it was hard to be normal and harder still to keep up the act long enough to get people to give him a chance. It made him wish he could go back to 3 weeks ago when he had been spending winter break at home. Ted always understood him, made him feel like he could let loose because he could always depend on his brother to pull him back from the edge and to have a plan. He certainly didn’t hold back his critics of Tim’s behavior, but it was clear that Ted loved his quirks regardless.

Later he found himself in his creative writing class, his favorite of all the classes he took. Everyone had to take 2 English credits and many of his classmates were either English majors like him, or people looking for an easy A. Their professor decided to pair them up to work on a piece together. He was nervous, not liking the thought of someone interfering with his process or being uncooperative, but when he saw the alpha girl he had gotten he changed his mind.

Carol was the best thing since sliced bread. She was smart and funny and yet she didn’t make Tim feel like a complete loser for not being half as cool as her. They exchanged numbers, and as the two weeks flew by they messaged each other about their project. It was nice to have the chance to show off his creativity to someone and have them appreciate it without teasing him about his spaciness.  By the time spring break came around Carol had asked him out on their first date, and by summer break they were officially dating.

She was also from Michigan so when he mentioned spending the summer together she invited him to her family's lake house for a weekend, resulting in him meeting her family. Then she met his, hitting it off with his parents and managing to put up with Ted’s pre-teen moodiness. He didn’t quite get why his brother didn’t like Carol, and he knew it was just her. His brother had spent plenty of time cuddling close to Tim on the couch during movie night, so clearly he still liked Tim, but when Carol had tried to get close on Tim’s other side Ted had scowled and swapped places with Tim to push him into the corner. Thankfully Carol had brushed it off as Ted not wanting to share his brother, but it had made Tim worry Carol would get mad at him.

One year together turned to three and then they graduated, and she proposed. Of course he said yes. Not only had he found someone who thought his distracted behavior was admirable but she even accommodated him. She never made him feel like a burden, and best of all she wanted the same things as him. They agreed to try to get married once she had gotten a solid job but with her needing to get a masters degree and then apply for work it took another three years before they got married. Then they started trying for a baby.

At first they didn’t let their failures get to them, plenty of people struggled. But by the time he was 28 he had to throw in the towel and admit there might be even more wrong with him then he thought. It kept him up at night, his failure as an omega, that he had one biological purpose and he couldn’t even do it. The feeling worsened when he started showing up to Carol’s work functions and people would ask when they planned to have a baby.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, his parents had moved into a new house and given Carol and him his childhood home as a wedding gift. His mother had said at the time that he and Carol would need it for their family, and he had been overjoyed to move out of the apartment they were renting. Ted had already gone off to college by that point and didn’t mind the change, but Tim made sure to leave his brother's room undisturbed until he returned for winter break.

His wedding to Carol had been strategically planned to be in the summer so Ted wouldn’t be busy, but his brother had used the excuse of working at his part-time job to get out of coming. He hadn’t even made it for the reception. Tim had managed to keep his devastation over it to himself during the ceremony, but before going to the reception he had sobbed in his wedding suit and been grateful for the lack of anyone else in the house. He had pulled himself together though, swapped into his reception outfit, and made his way to the party.

Chapter 2

The morning that Tim left for college Ted had a terrible feeling of dread that curdled in his gut and made it so he could barely eat breakfast. They had already packed everything in boxes so they spent the morning loading the car. Tim was somehow in possession of a drivers license, and maybe that had involved bribing the testing official into allowing Ted to sit in the back for emotional support. Now, as he finished packing, the only comfort Ted felt was the knowledge that his brother would still be in the same state even if he was an hour away and would be living in the dorms.

He made sure the car had fuel, that the brakes worked, and then he let Tim get in to drive off. Before he did though his brother exchanged hugs and some words with their parents before coming to say goodbye to him. The summer heat had resulted in Tim wearing shorts and a camisole their mother had insisted on buying him. Ted was used to Tim refusing to wear traditionally omega styles, so whenever he saw him in skirts or dainty blouses it was pleasantly surprising.

A few months back he had gone to prom alone and their mom had dragged him shopping for a prom gown. It had made Ted realise his feelings for Tim weren’t normal. Ted had had crushes before on the girls in his class, but when he’d accidentally seen Tim in only his underwear in the fitting room it had clicked for him that what he felt for his brother was a crush. He had turned away that day, grappling with his disgusting feelings and trying to rationalize them away. After all Tim was objectively gorgeous, it’s not his fault if he noticed.

The feeling had been worse when, before going downstairs for pictures on prom night, Tim had first come to his room to dance. He had made it clear over dinner the past week that their parents' dream of Tim bringing a date over beforehand wasn’t coming true. So when he asked if Ted would dance with him, probably the only dance he’d have that night, Ted had quickly agreed. It hurt him to see Tim’s pretty blue eyes shadowed by sadness, so after quickly affixing a tie around his own neck and putting a soft song on he twirled his omega brother around the room.

Their dance had been brief but he had treasured seeing Tim laugh so carefreely as they moved. The long flowy blue fabric matched his eyes and had long sleeves as the only concession Tim had gotten their mom to agree to. Ted thought he looked like a princess, with his off the shoulder dress showing tantalizing skin, and the silver flats making it so that while his brother was still taller than him, he didn’t become more so.

Tim had refused to wear any makeup but his short hair had been accessorized with a silver headband. They had gone down after their dance and Ted had ended up getting to be the one who got his picture taken with Tim that night in place of a date. He had convinced their dad to take him to buy a corsage and made sure to give it to Tim before he left.

While his brother went out he went back to his room and prepared it for his return. Most of the seniors would probably go from the prom to an after party but Tim had few friends and certainly none that would party past 11pm. So when 10:30 came around, Tim was dragged from the foot of the stairs to a candle lit room to watch his favorite movie, eat snacks, and cuddle with Ted. He had brought his brother's pajamas so he could change out of the dress, making sure to grab the long cotton shirt he preferred but conveniently forgetting the pants. Tim had stripped down to a matching pantie and bra set and the sight had made Ted’s pulse race.

Tim was thankfully oblivious and had even removed the bra while Ted watched from his peripheral vision, pretending he wasn’t enraptured by the sight. Like most male omegas Tim didn’t have much chest and therefore tended to wear either sports bras or unwired ones. Since their parents were so progressive he had even been allowed to participate in sports other than cheerleading, and had gotten on the baseball team during middle school. He had dropped it once high school began but his body was still lean from his casual playing of the sport with classmates.

They had laid on Ted’s bed together and watched movies all night, laughing and play fighting at first then falling asleep as the first rays of dawn permeated the room. Waking up he had found himself surrounded by Tim’s scent of chocolate and fresh cut grass. It was a strange scent for an omega, though Ted couldn’t quite smell it properly since he hadn’t presented yet. Tim barely smelt of the two but it was nice nonetheless even if his brother’s choice of tea tree oil hair products was overpowering it.

They had laid there a while longer, Ted taking in Tim’s features lit by the morning sun until finally he blinked his blue eyes open. Now as they prepare to part ways Ted can’t help but wish they had spent more nights like that together, that they had a lifetime worth of moments like that to spend. But after Tim pulled him in for a tight embrace and promised to come home for the holidays, all Ted could do was stare at his brother as he drove away.

Tim kept his promise and when he left for his second semester Ted felt more at peace like maybe he wasn’t losing his brother at all. That particular delusion was swiftly ended by the arrival of Carol. Tim was supposed to come home for spring break to spend time with him and dedicate every waking moment to doing fun stuff together. He mostly did, but it drove Ted crazy to have to share a few minutes every day with the alpha that had stolen his brother’s attention.

The pair would text each other in the morning right after they awoke, then again at night before going to sleep. It was small but the fact that Tim had someone else in his life grated on Ted’s nerves. When summer came and he lost a whole weekend of time because they went to meet Carol’s family Ted was livid. So when the woman was finally introduced he barely restrained himself from launching an all out war against her. The only thing that held him back was Tim.

His brother had made it clear that he really liked Carol and wanted to one day marry her. While some would consider it a bit soon, Ted knew all too well that Tim longed to have a family of his own. The sooner he found someone to make that dream come true the sooner he’d feel fulfilled. It also didn’t help that there was technically nothing wrong with Carol. She was sweet, put up with Ted being nasty to her, and seemed to genuinely care for Tim.

In the end he tried to make peace with their relationship. As the years passed he acknowledged that much as he would have loved to be with Tim, there was no chance that they would realistically be together. He moved on, tried to focus on school and his friends, and tried not to let the budding relationship upset him. He’s even doing a good job until Tim invites him to the wedding.

He knows that everyone expects him to go, that he should show up and support his brother, but the idea of seeing the man he loves marrying someone else is beyond unbearable. He begs his boss to give him a shift for the wedding day, makes sure no one else knows what he plans to do, and then texts Tim to let him know he won’t be able to make it. He’s a coward, but the thought of seeing Tim sad because of him pushes him to stick to a text. He spends his hours busy, trying desperately to not think about the wedding and how beautiful Tim probably is.

His parents looked a bit disappointed when they got home, but thankfully neither one said anything. They had spoken to him about giving Tim the house, and he had agreed to the gift feeling that it was best for his brother to be somewhere he felt comfortable. It also kept him in their hometown where everyone already knew all of Tim’s quirks and were unlikely to cause any trouble for the omega. He wondered if he should empty his room out entirely but left it be for now.

He spent the next few months completely absorbed by school, glad he had chosen to start as a pre-law business major because his AP classes allowed him to take more of the business centered classes sooner. By the time winter break came around he felt like he had networked well with his classmates and professors and was well on his way to getting outstanding letters of recommendation. He went home to his parents' new house, spent most of the break there but Tim and Carol invited them over for Christmas and so the three of them went over. The dinner was good, Tim having gotten better at cooking over the last five years, and by the time the night was over all Ted wanted to do was sleep.

His parents stayed chatting with a clearly uncomfortable Carol in the living room while Tim, smelling like cinnamon in addition to his chocolatey scent, dragged him up to his old room. The place looked exactly the same, the bed was even made, as though it was always meant for him. Tim helped him remove his shoes and strip down to his underwear, the wine he had sipped at dinner behind his parents' backs messing with his coordination. He found himself snugly tucked in with only an old night light from his childhood to illuminate his room. Tim pressed a sweet kiss to his forehead, wished him good night, and left, softly shutting the door on his way out.

In the morning all Ted can think of is how despite it all it seems like Tim had not only found himself a place in Ted’s heart but refused to let him ever forget who had taken it in its entirely. He went down to breakfast wearing the soft robe that smelled like Tim, ate breakfast with the couple, and wondered what it would be like to wake up to the sight of Tim everyday for the rest of his life.

Chapter Text

Chapter 3

Tim and Carol had agreed that they would simply adopt when it became evident that they weren’t having a baby through pregnancy. It was fine with both of them, and would be just as fulfilling, and yet they forgot. Well really they got distracted. Everyday it felt like Carol had a new project at work and with how busy she was it was hard for her to remember to get the adoption situation started. Tim on the other hand was busy fighting writer's block as he outlined his book series. He had considered just releasing a single book but then he got invested in side characters and sub plots and next thing he knew he had four books and maybe more in the making.

Life for the next year was uneventful, just them working and being in love. All was going well until Tim looked at the calendar and realized what day it was. There, circled in red with exclamation marks and everything was Ted’s college graduation. His brother was expecting him, had sent him an invitation and everything and here he was at home in sweat pants drinking cold coffee and already late. The graduation was set to start in a minute and it would take him at least half an hour to drive there if he drove like traffic laws were suggestions. That didn’t even take into account the time it would take to get ready. That was at least another ten minutes if he showered and five more to grab nice clothes.

He supposed he could just show up late but honestly what was the point? If Ted saw him he’d probably be embarrassed. It was bad enough to be a non-traditional omega, but being late was a pet peeve of his. Not to mention how everyone in town was always looking at Tim, like he was such a loser for still not having any kids. The pity made it hard to go out but he powered through to grab groceries every week. He thought for a moment more than decided that no, he would not go, he wouldn’t subject himself to all the pity and disdain when chances were high Ted didn’t even want him there.

His brother had pulled away quite a bit the last four years and it felt like it all began with his wedding. Tim had been devastated but had tried not to take it personally, after all weddings were pretty boring for teens and it’s not like Ted had liked Carol very much at the time. Things had felt tense when his brother was over for Christmas with their parents, though the bottle of wine he had drank had helped to relax the alpha to the point where he had let Tim put him to bed. It had been nice to spend time with him, just the two of them, even if it had been short and consisted of him dragging the younger man upstairs while he whispered nonsensical comments into Tim’s neck.

The breakfast they had the next day had been nice, their parents having left the night before, but Ted still there to compliment Tim’s cooking. Carol had been full of compliments at the start of their relationship but even just a few months into their marriage they had gotten less and less common. It was also nice to spend the morning in the living room, cuddled up to Ted as they watched Christmas movies while Carol went upstairs to work on her laptop. Tim soaked up the easy affection his brother gave, the combination of their scents making the room smell like freshly cut grass and sandalwood.

Ted hadn’t liked his scent when he presented 3 years ago but Tim had been delighted that his brother smelled like the most stereotypical alpha scent. It made it easy to buy him cologne and also to find candles that smelled like him for his home. It also didn’t help that his scent also included oranges and was a perfect match to the scent of the fruit that Tim ate most. He doesn’t remember when they became his favorites but it had been that way for a few years now.

And so when that morning his brother had stayed over and worn his robe, he had left his scent behind on the sheets he had slept in and on the robe Tim liked to wear while working on his book. It stayed that way for almost a week, reminding him of Ted every morning. He had written more in that week than he had in the weeks before and was well on his way to finishing the first half of his book. He missed his brother and those moments, the times they used to have together in childhood and how close they used to be, but it seemed like Ted was pulling away and not interested in coming back to him.

—--------------------------------------------------

Two years didn’t seem like a lot of time and yet it felt like forever when it came to Ted. Tim hadn’t seen him for anything, not a single birthday or holiday. Their parents had tried to drag him to events at first, but when he wasn’t busy with law school he was just too far away. Ted moving to a different state, one that was over 12 hours away had been a shock but they had tried to be supportive. Tim had wanted to protest, but his shame at not having shown up for Ted’s graduation made him uncertain if he really had any right to make demands of his brother.

Besides, how pathetic would it be to beg Ted to stay just for him to leave because Tim no longer matters to him. That’s why Tim didn’t ask his brother to visit. Instead, this year for the alphas birthday he had driven to see him. He had reserved a hotel room and Carol had asked a co-worker to drive her to work so he could leave Friday morning and spend the weekend. He made it to the hotel and quickly checked in. He showered, changed into a nice dress, and contemplated putting a bit of makeup on before grabbing his rarely used mascara out. He quickly applied some, using a tissue to dab it dry so it didn't leave smudges under his eyes. Finally he added some lip gloss and grabbed his purse. He usually went with either a more alphan style of bag or a simple fanny pack, but given the little black dress he had chosen he felt it best to go with a more omegan stlye accessory. Unlike the purses his mom bought him growing up it actually had room for his wallet, phone, and lip gloss. He drove to Ted's apartment, knocking in the door before he could chicken out. His brother opened the door, dressed in lounge wear that had no business looking so fancy on him.

“Tim? What are you doing here?” he asked, his face scrunching in confusion.

“Surprise! I came to take you out to celebrate your birthday silly. So, why don't you get dressed and we'll head out to get dinner and some drinks?”

And with that he was let into the apartment. While Ted went to his room to change, Tim sat on the love seat and entertained himself on his phone. He hoped Ted would let him in but honestly had a moment of doubt when he knocked, that all his fears would be proven right and Ted would slam the door in his face and yell at him to leave.

Instead ten minutes later they're getting into his car, Ted at the wheel, and diving to his favorite place in town. The drive is short, the music on the radio the only sound for most of it. But near the end, before they enter the parking lot to the restaurant Ted compliments him on his appearance. It's nice to hear someone thinks he looks beautiful, especially someone like Ted who would never give a false compliment. It soothes the anxiety in his heart, and it doesn't hurt that Ted gets all the doors on their way in, making him feel cherished. By the time they're seated Tim can't help but feel that he made the right choice by coming all this way. The food is delicious, the drinks he gets are strong, and the tension in their relationship seems to have disappeared with every minute of conversation. By the time the night ends he's glad his brother is driving because he can barely walk in his stilettos although he does manage to pay for their meal with minimal fuss from Ted. They make it back to his hotel room in one piece and Ted helps him get to his room on the second floor. By the time they make it into the room Tim thinks he'll fall asleep standing just from how comforting Ted's scent is when Tim buried his face in the alpha's neck. He finds himself in his bed in a blur, Ted kneeling to remove his shoes, and part of Tim feeling as though he was forgetting something important. He's turned so he's face down in the bed and then cold air is hitting the skin of his bare back as the dress is unzipped. Another flurry of movement and he's standing in Ted’s arms as the alpha works the sleeveless dress down his torso until gravity brings it to the floor. Tim feels more cold air this time across his bare chest and stomach. He's confused, not sure why his clothes are gone but then again a soft cotton shirt is replacing his dress and he's covered once more. Ted lays him down on his side and before long he's asleep lost in soft dreams.

POV SWITCH TED

When he sat down on his couch to hype himself up to call a takeout restaurant nearby he hadn’t expected a lot of things that would happen that night. He couldn't have imagined Tim coming to see him for his birthday, much less doing so wearing a sinfully sexy little black dress and heels. He hadn't seen Tim in years and then his brother showed up to drag him out to celebrate his birthday. He got dressed in a simple black suit and made sure he didn't look like the zombie he felt like. On his way out of the house he held his palm up to take the keys, knowing that Tim hated to drive in new places and especially in heels. He opened the door and helped the omega in, breathing in his scent as he passed by. They were almost at the restaurant before he could no longer hold back his compliment, needing Tim to know how beautiful he looked. He'd refrained from using any inappropriate adjectives but he did place his hand on the omega's bare thigh and drove most of the way. It was nice to see Tim not brush his hand off and even blush at the compliment.

When he found himself a few hours later struggling to get his brother out of his dress, he couldn't help but wish Tim were sober and inviting him over for more than just sleep. He stepped down to his underwear and cuddled up behind the omega to sleep.

The next morning he woke to Tim's scent in his nose and his ass rocking back to find their hips together. He put a stop to that quickly not needing the temptation first thing in the morning. He got up and got dressed to go, but before he could Tim muttered at him from the bed. He walked over, kneeled down to be at the omega level, and barely stopped himself from cooing at how sweet Tim looked with his face smushed against the pillow and his eye rimmed in black like a raccoon.

“Don't go,” he said, clearly not wanting Ted to abandon him while hungover.

“Sorry Tim but I've got work to get done by Monday.”

“I want to hang out more. Please I came all this way.”

And because Ted was weak for Tim's puppy dog eyes he conceded and gently helped the omega out of bed and into a hot shower. He tried to keep his eyes off Tim’s body like he had the night before, not comfortable looking without the omegas consent. It sucked that he got a bit wet through the whole ordeal, his white shirt becoming transparent in the process, but it was worth it to have Tim look so happy as he drank a cup of the courtesy coffee while Ted searched his bag for a pair of jeans and a loose shirt. The only tops he found were omegan style blouses so he grabbed one and figured he'd offer Tim one of his t-shirts when they got to his apartment. They walked down the stairs and Tim hid from the sun behind a baseball cap as they drove to the apartment.

When they arrived he left his brother on the love seat and went to grab his laptop and t-shirt. He'd lost track of laundry and so the best he could do was give Tim the shirt he'd worn 2 days ago that day near the top of his dirty laundry basket. Tim didn't seem to mind as he changed into it, his bare chest catching Ted’s attention for a moment before the alpha snapped it off it and opened his laptop.

The next few hours passed quietly as Ted worked and Tim napped curled up to his side. Then Tim got up, went to the kitchen, found Ted’s cheap ramen and cooked two for them to enjoy for lunch. They ate in companionable silence, curled together on the couch watching the first half of some adventure movie Tim had chosen. When they finished their food Ted got back to work while Tim cleaned up. Then he noticed that Ted's laundry was still dirty and began to do it for him, as well as sweep and mop.

When Ted emerged from his work flow he found his apartment looking as good as it had when he first moved in and the scent of fresh cut grass permeating the air. He got the movie they were watching set back up and made snacks with Tim in the kitchen. Once they were set they finished the film.

Finally in a state of contentment Ted asked how Tim was doing, really doing. He didn't like the answer.

POV SWITCH TIM

Tim felt so relaxed after the day he had spent with Ted that he just told him the truth when asked. Tim was tired and sad. He told Ted everything that had happened with Carol, how they had been struggling to have a baby and how guilty and ashamed he was. Ted comforted him, reminding him that things like that take time and that if wasn't anything to be embarrassed about.

“Honestly I didn't even know you two were struggling, I just thought you weren't ready to have a family yet and were still enjoying the honeymoon period,” Ted said.

“I wish. It feels like the honeymoon period ended like a month after the wedding. She just didn't dedicate any time to our relationship. She's such a workaholic that she makes you look relaxed. I just wish things could go back to the way they were.”

He sighed and let Ted wrap him up in a warm embrace. The comfort of an alpha was so nice and it reminded him of this morning when he'd woken and still half asleep had begun driving back against Ted’s morning wood, his slick leaking into his underwear. He had gotten lost in the moment just enjoying the feeling of someone holding him close, something that Carol had stopped doing years ago. He had been well on his way to doing it until Ted had painted his back with his cum, but his brother had woken up and dragged him back to reality with his abrupt departure.

They sat on the couch for a few minutes in silence before Ted spoke again, his voice tinged with uncharacteristic nerves as he suggested, “What if you aren't the problem?”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean what if Carol is the reason you don't have kids yet and there's nothing wrong with you.”

The thought hasn't crossed Tim's mind before, his self hatred blinding him to the obvious alternative.

“It wouldn't change much though if I'm not barren. We still can't have children that way.”

“Wouldn't you like to confirm it though, to know for sure whether it's you? There's different fertility treatments that could work if you're not the problem.”

The idea was gaining traction now, and his mind latched on wanting desperately to believe he wasn't broken. But there was just one problem.

“What if I am infertile? I don't want Carol to know that for sure and hate me or leave.”

Ted considered this for a moment, befuddled before saying, “What if you could test it without her finding out?”

“How? You know doctors require me to bring my alpha to all appointments, and since I'm married I can't just bring you instead.”

“If you got pregnant that would confirm you're capable right? And all that would require is you sleeping with someone else to check.”

“I can't do that!”

“Why not? It didn't sound like Carol’s taking care of you like she's supposed to. No one would blame you for leaving a neglectful alpha like that.”

“Maybe, but who could I sleep with? In case you don't remember, before Carol I didn't exactly have suitors lining up to be with me. And even if I found someone how can I be sure they won't blackmail me or try to take custody of my baby? There's just too many pitfalls.”

“What if it was me?”

“You? You can't be serious!”

“Why not? I'm available, I wouldn't tell anyone much less blackmail you,  and the baby would be treated as my niece or nephew so it's not like I’d need to fight you for custody.”

“You'd trust me with your child like that?”

“Tim, I'm not exactly going to get much of a chance to have kids given my career goals. And even if I did I wouldn’t have the time to raise them. This is a win-win scenario. You get the baby you've been wanting, and I get to help my favorite brother.”

“I'm your only brother,” he quipped back with an eye roll.

“I know. So, are you in?”

Tim thought for a moment, contemplated bringing a baby home in nine months and finally having his perfect family. He nodded, hoping against all hope that it would work. With that Ted rose and guided him into his room. They stripped quickly, comfortable with each other's bodies already and finding themselves on the bed in no time.

Tim hesitated unsure how to proceed. Ted was only the second person he'd ever done this with but he refused to hesitate when everything he's ever wanted depended on this. He leaned forward to crush their lips together, loving at the seam of his brother's mouth to gain entrance.

Ted pushed him onto his back,  gently pulling his legs apart and trailing kisses down his sternum. Then he circled a finger around Tim's entrance,  teasingly pushing his forefinger in a bit before removing it again to circle some more. Finally after what felt like a small eternity he pinned the digit into the first knuckle. He slowly opened Tim up, his body tight from not having been fucked in weeks. His heat was supposed to come in the following week but it felt like it was already here with how slick he was as Ted finally sheathed himself inside.

His brother paused to allow him to adjust to having something inside his channel, but with a quick nod Tim got him to move. The pace was slow at first, then it quickened until the headboard was hitting the wall with every thrust and Tim was crying out in wanton pleasure as Ted drilled into his sweet spot. His vision was blurred with tears of pleasure but he managed to make out the alpha's face as he came and knotted him. They lay in post-coital bliss for a while before Ted leaned down and kissed him sweetly. The gesture had Tim's pulse racing. He tried to get comfortable but couldn't roll out of the wet spot with Ted atop him. His brother seemed to realize his predicament soon enough though and told them over so that Tim could lay on Ted’s chest and nap until the knot went down. They lay kissing softly, Tim unable to believe that he could be so lucky. He had come here afraid that Ted hated him and ended up being made love to instead. A large part of him hoped he was pregnant, that he would soon have the baby he wanted, but a small part hoped it would take a few more attempts.

So yay we finally got them together! Sorry the smut was so short, there will be a bit more later though so hopefully that makes up for this chapter.

Chapter 4

Tim had made the commitment to show up for Ted's law school graduation. He had planned it out, made sure he put reminders so he could drive to see him. He asked Carol to take the time off work so she could drive them and everything. The only thing he didn't plan for was his pregnancy.

He had spent the rest of his weekend with Ted in his brothers bed, getting fucked hard to make sure he was truly bred by the time he left. He had stolen a few of his brother's clothes, just so he would have his fresh scent with him when he returned home. Tim felt a bit guilty as he drove home, and made sure to have the windows down to air out the scent of oranges and sandalwood with a touch of vanilla. He couldn't believe that Ted had the same tertiary scent as him, though it made sense given that they were siblings. Still it was nice that his pre-heat scent would hide the scent of Ted’s arousal that seemed to have glued itself to his every pore.

When he arrived he made sure to shower with Carol’s bath products to overpower any remaining scents. He spent his heat with her and struggled to not compare the experience to what things had been like with Ted. When a few weeks later he got a positive pregnancy test he rushed to confirm that all five of the tests he had bought said the same.

Suffice to say when Carol came home to such news she was overjoyed and made an appointment right away to check up on their baby. He sent a picture of his five tests to Ted as well to make sure he knew they had succeeded. Part of him wondered if the baby was really Ted's, what if he had just gotten lucky at the same time that he slept with his brother. He'd have to wait until the baby was born, he supposed.

When he got his first ultrasound he made sure to get three copies so he could send one to his parents and the other to Ted. Carol framed the third and placed it in the living room so they could see their baby everyday. The months passed quickly with the pregnancy going well. Then it was the day before Ted's graduation and he was finished packing for the trip.

He waited for Carol to arrive, his alpha having chosen to go to work even though she promised she wouldn't and now stressing him out with how late she was. He tried to calm down and think of his daughter who needed him to keep it together for her and he found peace for a while. But when it was almost 8pm and his wife still hadn't arrived he lost his cool and called her.

If she had said she was stuck in traffic or was even just on her way he felt like he would have kept his temper in check. Instead she answered by asking him what was wrong and telling him she still had a bit more to do. After worrying all day about their trip and while quite emotional due to his pregnancy he may have lost it. Whatever he said was a blur of red hot fury that was lost to the fact that he felt a contraction.

He stopped yelling at his wife for being forgetful and panicked as he explained his new situation. She promised to come get him and hung up to drive home to him. He sat on the couch trying to breath and feeling completely unprepared seeing as he wasn't due for another week. He hadn't even packed his go bag yet. Before he knew it he was crying, desperately wishing Ted was here to comfort him.

Over the last few months his brother had been so supportive, calling once a week to check on him, reminding him to take his multivitamins, and even getting their mom to come over with his favorite foods to help with the cravings even though she had insisted on denying him anything that may not be healthy. When her baby Teddy had begged her to make cookies for Tim though she had folded like a house of cards and even came at 2am. On the one hand it irked him but on the other he understood, Ted was pretty lovable. Dad thankfully balanced mom out by making sure she was never too pushy, even if it was well intentioned pushiness.

Eventually Carol arrived and then drove him to the hospital. By the time his doctor had checked him out and confirmed it was false contractions they were already too late. There was no way they would make it to the graduation if they drove even at top speed. Tim suggested trying to take a plane but Carol shot the idea down citing how expensive it would be to get a last minute flight and how they’d probably show up dead on their feet to the graduation. So they stayed home and Tim was too ashamed of fucking this one thing up to talk to Ted.

His brother had helped him have a baby and yet here he was failing to show up for him. Tim spiraled with guilt for the rest of the night and well into the next few weeks. The only thing that lightened the blow was that when he did go into labor Ted showed up. His brother wasn't petty enough not to come and meet their daughter and it made the whole process so much better. Carol wasn't allowed into the room because of hospital policy to keep the alpha parent out, and Tim felt bad that in this case it didn't really apply.

Ted had managed to convince the delivery team that he should be allowed and promised to not lose it. Which was nice when he was able to hold his brother's hand as he gave birth instead of being alone. He didn't yell at Ted, just screamed in general from the pain. It took forever, or 18 hours to be exact, but finally Tabitha Templeton was born. Then everything felt startlingly real. She was small and smushed, her little face pink and her blonde hair stuck to her head still, but she was perfect. He got to feed her once before they took her to the nursery so she could sleep safely until he was discharged. Ted got to hold her for a bit though, Tim made sure that the nurses didn’t take her before her father could bask in her presence properly first.

The visit ended soon enough, and then they took her outside where presumably they let Carol and his parents hold Tabitha for a bit. The peace in the room remained undisturbed for a time, Ted sat holding his hand and saying nothing. Then Ted’s phone rang and he took the call outside. With a small wave he left, and Tim wouldn’t see him for another year.

Chapter 5

Ted could admit that he was a bit dramatic at times. So, when Tim called him a month after Tabitha’s sixth birthday he might have ignored the call out of spite. When his brother called again he only answered because their daughter might need something and it would be irresponsible not to check to make sure. He didn’t expect Tim to ask him to visit for the man’s birthday, much less make it clear that he wanted to go to a bar a few towns over. He thought about it for a second then agreed knowing that whatever Tim wanted the omega was likely to get with a bit of begging and he should spare himself the time.

Having already made CEO allowed him the luxury of dictating when he would fly off for a vacation. So he texted Tim to make it clear he was getting the hotel this time, and he packed an overnight bag a few weeks later. The flight over was uneventful, he drafted some memos he could send from the hotel and played a game on his phone until they arrived.

Once he made it to the right town he had to take a taxi, but thankfully the drive was short and checking into the hotel took only a few minutes. The suite was simple, just consisting of a king size bed, a desk, and the basic amenities. He contemplated his clothes and wondered if he should change into his jeans and button up or wait for Tim to tell him what their plans were for now. He didn’t get a chance to change as a knock came from the door and he walked over to let Tim in.

Just like the last time they met, just the two of them, Tim wore a dress, this one longer and looser. His face only had a bit of eyeliner and mascara, both clearly applied by an amateur hand though it didn’t lessen the beauty of his brother's features. Tim entered and Ted wondered if he’d be propositioned a second time. He knew he was weak enough to say yes to another night even if he was still hurt by Tim’s broken promises. He loved his brother too much to let anything stand in the way of another chance to be so close.

“Hey Ted,” Tim began as he stepped close to wrap his arms around the alpha in an embrace.

Ted returned it before pulling back to hear what Tim had to say.

“I know I said I wanted to go out for my birthday but since it’s still early why don’t we just hang out here for now?”

Ted acquiesced easily enough, wanting to figure out Tim’s true motives as soon as possible. They sat on the couch and Tim made to grab the remote for the TV but before he could Ted grabbed his hand and got his attention. He leaned in, pressing Tim into the corner of the couch, and began kissing him softly. The kiss deepened as Tim pulled him down to cover him and spread his legs to better accommodate Ted between them. The smell of arousal in the air got Ted’s blood pumping, but not nearly as much as when Tim hiked the skirt of the dress up to reveal the lingerie he had on underneath.

The sight of lacy red panties with little ribbons had him yanking the dress up to get a better view of his brother. The dress refused to go past Tim’s waist so he manhandled the omega onto his back and unzipped him. The sight of more red lace in the form of a bra has him practically tearing the dress off before he grabs Tim's bicep and drags him to the bed. Now able to see the full sight of the omega he was so glad he answered his brother's call. The red went well with the creamy white skin of his brother's torso, and the contrast of Tim’s lightly tanned arms as they wrapped around his own middle had Ted desperate to kiss and bite every tan line his brother possessed.

He spread Tim’s legs, got down on his knees between the omega’s thighs, and leaned his face close enough that his every breath brushed his omega’s dripping wet hole. He licked up from there, the taste of Tim mixing with the lace, and then he latched onto the omega’s small cock. He sucked it through the thin material as his brother cried out, occasionally flicking it with his tongue as well. It didn’t take long for Tim to cum, the tangy taste soaking through the panties and coating Ted’s taste buds.

He had unbuckled his belt and unzipped his pants already, so after standing on slightly unsteady legs he lifted Tim’s hips and lined his cock up with his brother’s panty covered entrance. He pressed the tip in, as Tim scrabbled to grip onto him in some way. Then after a few moments of teasing him with the tip he adjusted Tim by placing a pillow under his hips, and used his now free hands to hold the panties aside to slide his cock into the hilt in one rough thrust. The tightness he experienced as Tim clenched down in discomfort had him pulling out before roughly shoving himself back into the dripping wet heat.

Tim cried out with every thrust, little ‘ah’s and gasps filling the air as Ted fucked him into the mattress at a relentless pace. He knew he was being too rough, but his anger from the past decade was hard to contain and his brother getting wetter by the second didn’t help him feel bad in the slightest. The clear enjoyment on Tim’s face drove him to pound into him harder, the sound of the bed creaking now accompanying the omegas little noises.

“Mmh Ted! Harder, want it so badly please, need you to knot me,” Tim cried out and before he realized it his knot was buried deep inside his brother.

Ted stayed there a moment as the aftershocks of orgasm worked their way through his system, then he slowly adjusted them so they were lying on their sides face to face, bodies fully on the bed instead of hanging off the side of it. He pulled Tim in, wanting his brother’s lip against his own, their tongue dancing together as they waited for Ted’s knot to go down.

The moment arrived and as they parted Ted finally asked the question that had been on his mind tonight, “Why did you really call me Tim?”

Tim hesitated, clearly wanting to lie if the furrow between his brows was any indication, but then he said, “I wanted another baby.”

Ted sat with that for a moment then accepted it, hearing the sincerity and seeing it painted across Tim’s face.

“Plus,” Tim continued, “I think Tabitha wants a younger sibling. It’d be good for her. She tends to stick to herself and having a sibling would give her someone she can always count on.”

With that Tim cuddled close, making it clear that for all the taboo of their affair there was no place that Tim would rather be. Ted wondered if stolen moments like these would be enough though. He had wanted what he couldn’t have for so long that it had been easy to settle at first. But this second tryst made him wonder if all he’d have after this would be memories. Not once had Tim mentioned being serious about him. The omega hadn’t shown him any sign that this was more than just convenient sex with a trusted alpha.

Ted had foolishly believed for the last few years that Tim would just wake up one day and realize that Ted was everything he could possibly want. That somehow, the omega he had been in love with for years now, would turn around and love him back. It was a ridiculous fantasy that had been furthered by them having a child together. Where Carol had failed Tim, Ted had provided, showing how he was clearly better. And yet it had done nothing. His brother hadn’t chosen him, had decided he wasn’t worth showing up for, and still Ted had come.

He supposed being hopelessly in love with someone you can’t have could be worse. He lays in the silence and makes a deal with himself: he’ll stop hoping for more. He’ll get Tim pregnant one more time, show up for the next kids birth, and then just stay away. He could come to events for his kids, but if he could avoid it he’d keep to himself. He couldn’t keep letting Tim in and having hope just to be devastated when reality came crashing back in.

—-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Less than a year later Ted finds himself outside a hospital room, sitting with his eldest daughter as they wait for Tim to be allowed to go home. She hadn’t seemed enthused to be a big sister but Ted was sure she’d come around. His little Tabitha was resilient and if nothing else she would have him to dote on her if her parents were too busy with the baby.

A few hours later they stood outside the nursery observation room, Ted finally able to see his second daughter for a second time. Now that she was all cleaned up she was quite adorable. Her blonde hair and green eyes made it clear she was his, but he didn’t worry as her sister had been blonde for the first few months of life. His daughters would probably both have their omega’s chocolatey brown locks.

Tim had just finished comforting Tabitha and while he and Carol cooed over Tina, Ted made his way over to Tabitha to see how she was doing. And if his daughter asked for a pony who was he to deny her? He had a feeling Tim and Carol wouldn’t be pleased but honestly, what was the point of making so much money if he didn’t use it to spoil his girl? When they arrived home he was pleasantly surprised to see his room that had previously remained untouched had been transformed.

When Tabitha had been born he had stayed overnight and Carol had made his bed from back when he was in high school. The old sheets had still held traces of his scent, and the walls had still had his posters and shelves of knickknacks. Now the bed had been replaced with a crib and the walls had been cleared away to make room for whatever little Tina would need. It filled him with nostalgia and yet pleased a part of him as well.

Life was far from perfect, but for now things were good.

Chapter 7

Summary:

The Resolution.

Notes:

Welcome back for the final chapter, I'm sorry I forgot to post this but it's finally over (So you don't need to depend on my inconsistent posting any longer<3). Please enjoy!

NOTES for understanding: 1) I refer to the plot of the 2nd movie and the 2nd show very briefly at the start, 2) I did some world building off-screen so this could have a happy ending, so all you need to know is the following: While incest between adults is frowned upon because of biological diversity reasons, resulting in lack of marriage between such pairings, there isn't laws against incest (just against things like statutory rape etc.). This means that while these couples don't marry in a legally binding manner (and receive government supported benefits), they can still exchange mating bites and become a mated pair without legal repercussions and with all the benefits of being a mated pair {this is similar to marriage vs civil union}.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter 6

Ted could admit that he was a stubborn person. So when the fiasco that had him and Tim getting de-aged and then growing up again was over he knew that the fire that had been ignited by their reunion would not be easily doused. He would find a way to win Tim’s heart he had decided, and yet he could never have foreseen the events that would bring him victory.

Getting framed for embezzlement was the wildest thing that could have happened, he couldn’t believe anyone would believe it of him. He had worked so hard, struggled not to be a perfectionist, and even did his best to be a team player. How could no one at the office, not a single employee see that he would never do such a thing?

The time he spends with Tim and his family is odd to say the least. It’s not exactly easy to seduce someone when you’re a baby, and it doesn’t look good that the FBI are after him. In short this whole thing is a disaster, so instead of wasting time trying to seduce his brother he focuses on clearing his name and keeping busy.

When he ends up spending his birthday with Carol he may start the whole thing off with an attitude. It doesn’t help that she isn’t accommodating and making his special day feel like it’s all about him. The frustration follows them throughout the day, but by the end of it he’s gained a sense of kinship with her. It makes him feel a bit guilty for what he’s done, in a way nothing else has.

When everything got resolved he came back to see them. He expected to have to begin working hard to get Tim to fall in love with him, expected to feel ashamed that he was hurting someone he had come to like over the last few months. Instead he pulled up to the driveway to see Carol storming out of the house. He didn’t know what was happening, just saw her angry tear streaked face before she sucker punched him.

The ground was quick to meet him, and the surprise was accompanied by pain as he lifted his head to question his sister-in-law.

“Did you know? Did you know Tabitha isn’t mine?” Carol shouts at him and he sits on the ground frozen in shock.

It seemed to make Carol think that he didn’t know anything, but then she turned to Tim who had come racing outside to deal with her. The two began yelling at each other and Ted was quick to get between them and usher them inside. He didn’t know what was going on but he’d rather the entire neighborhood not find out alongside him. As they entered he could see Tabitha at the top of the stairs peeking around the corner, clearly having cried if her blotchy face was anything to go by.

“I don’t know what you too are fighting about,” Ted began as he settled the pair on couches in the living room, “but you’ll keep your voices down for the girls’ sake and keep this conversion civil.”

They nodded in agreement and so began what turned into a long divorce. Tim got full custody after paternity tests confirmed that Carol hadn’t sired either child, and with how things felt a bit like his fault Ted felt it was only fair that he get her a hotel while she searched for a place to live. She didn’t end up paying Tim any alimony, and so when the divorce was finally complete she grabbed all her things and left.

When Ted had realized she had so much to cart off he had thought of who he knew in town and called his old babysitter Marisol. The nice beta girl had been not only kind but a favorite of his for her business savvy ways. She also happened to be in possession of a truck, and was more than happy to help Carol out when she heard all that had happened. Ted could admit that buying her a house was a bit much, but honestly it felt like the right thing to do after he had cucked her for a decade and allowed her to get attached to his kids.

She had struggled at first to accept that she was no longer a parent but had thankfully not come to see the girls during the divorce. Ted on the other hand had spent every night in the new bed he had bought, making love to his brother. The first few weeks of the divorce Tim had been uncertain whether they should mess around, worried it would affect their court case. After Ted had hired a friend from law school he knew could handle things and reminded Tim he wasn’t trying to take Carol for all she had he had been appeased.

The girls seemed happy to have Ted back in the house full-time, and eventually over dinner Tabitha brought it up.

“When are you two getting married?”

“Well given the laws we aren’t, but if the two of you approve we were planning on having a mating ceremony,” Tim replies.

The girls seemed to accept this and so they planned. Their friends showed up, and surprisingly so did their parents. Ted had worried that while it wasn’t illegal that their parents still wouldn’t approve. Instead they had made it clear that they had never seen him so happy and wouldn’t take that from him. It helped that they had two beautiful granddaughters to soften the blow as well.

The ceremony was lovely and when they exchanged bites at the end Ted was filled with overwhelming joy as he remembered every time he had dreamed of this moment. It was finally real. After years of doubting and uncertainty, he finally had everything he could ever want. He had a perfect family.
