You had to protect your home, an island home to your friends and family, and to also many other innocent people that you felt compelled to protect, but you alone weren't enough to protect them, fortunately for you, you knew of a way to get an emperor's help.
You knew where something of value was to one of the four emperors of the sea, a devil fruit, but it wasn't some powerful logia type devil fruit, nope, it was the size size fruit. it's as it sounds, the user is able to manipulate the size of anything and anybody, even their own body.
This fruit may sound useless especially for one of the emperors but you know this fruit is exactly what big mom has been looking for. Big mom desires to have giants inhabit her archipelago, totto land, and this devil fruit will give her the means necessary to create man-made giants, but giants nonetheless.
Your plan is to sail to totto land and offer up the devil fruit to big mom in exchange for your home to be protected by her and her family, to become part of her many territories. It isn't an ideal solution but there really is no other solution.
Your home is attacked monthly by pirates, they steal food, money, and hurt innocent citizens, they take just about anything they can get their grubby hands on, and your country doesn't have the resources to prevent it from happening, so you looked for alternative means, such as looking to ally with neighboring countries but they all turned you down, because of your diminished resources, they knew if they allied with you they would get nothing in return for their help. But you didn't have to worry about finding help any longer, because a miracle happened, you found it, you know where it is, the size size fruit, so you came up with your clever plan and now you're on your way to whole cake island, alone.
You had told no one of your plan, you said you we're simply going vacationing, which is pretty normal for people on your island to do, so no one questioned it, some even thought it would be good for you sense you we're always such a hard working soldier. You didn't tell anyone of your plan because you knew it would worry people, but what could possibly go wrong?
It took 3 days and you made it there, a very dangerous ride, being in the new world and all, but you made it and that's all that mattered. You knew you had made it to your destination before even seeing it, the air smelt of just about anything sweet, the sea converted into juice and the snow, well, wasn't snow at all it was cotton candy. you were actually quite fascinated with how everything worked.
You docked your ship and headed into town, you were here now but now you actually have no clue how to get to talk with big mom, you knew that if you waltzed up to the whole cake chateau demanding to speak to her or any of the sweet generals the guards would just send you away thinking you were just some lunatic trying to stir up trouble. So you had to figure out a way to speak to big mom "but how?"you wondered.
Just then you see him, a man you recognize to be Perospero, the eldest son of big mom. This would be a perfect time to tell him about your proposition, but how will you go about this, as you are thinking of the ways you can approach him, he approaches you instead
"excuse me" he says with politeness, you now notice that you're standing in his path "i must be somewhere lickity split" he says with urgency.
You shyly move out of his way and he rushes past you, so you make a plan, sense he is in a hurry you know he most likely is not gonna hear you out right now, so instead you follow him and once he's done taking care of his business you'll casually go up and speak to him.
You follow him for about 7 minutes until he arrives at a warehouse factory that says in big pink bold letters "candy production". he walks in the big doors and you slowly peer through one of the windows, you see him talking to one of the factory workers, most likely the boss of the place, but then you see another figure, a extremely tall figure that towers over both the factory worker and Perospero you recognize him as big moms second oldest son and her strongest son for that matter, Charlotte Katakuri.
If you know anything about big moms family you will surely know about him, he is said to be the most perfect man, strong, resilient, and loyal. They say he never even lies on his back, well that's what the rumor is, though you know that it is pretty unlikely to be actually true. You see him standing there with his arms crossed, he looks extremely intimidating. You begin to worry about confronting Perospero with this fearful figure in the picture now.
You can barley hear their conversation but you managed to catch the words "in case of a hunger pang". As you try to eavesdrop on their conversation Katakuri turns his head towards the window you're snooping in, you quickly duck your head down but you could've sworn the two of you made eye contact, sending shivers down your spine. You are now regretting not minding your own business, slightly peeping into the window once again, you see that Katakuri is nowhere to be seen, he is no longer standing alongside Perospero. And then you feel it, someone is towering over you. You practically feel their anger without even having to turn around to see it on their face. But you already know who the person is that is standing over you, the most perfect man, Katakuri.
You turn to see the looming figure, heights above you, you practically have to your turn head up all the way just to meet his gaze. His eyes say it all, he doesn't even need to say anything, you understand what he wants to know, I guess now is your chance.
"i can show you where a certain devil fruit is" you blurt out, you sound like a damn drug dealer. You slap your forehead out of embarrassment and back look up at the still looming figure but this time his brows are more furrowed and now he looks impatient and annoyed to your presence.
As you were about to speak up and specify yourself Katakuri cuts you off and says, questionly "you know where mama can find the size size fruit?"
you are taken aback how it was as if he read your mind, but then you remembered that katakuri is known for being able to see a couple seconds into the future, he knew what you were gonna say before you even did it, fascinating.
"uh yes" you confirm "I've discovered the location to where the fruit resides, it's supposed to-"
"let you manipulate the size of anything and anyone" he finishes your sentence, such a neat a party trick, if you aren't an enemy.
"Correct" you confirm again, he squints down at you, sizing you up and then he says "come with me".
As you follow katakuri you can't help but notice this man's style and stature, maybe he really is perfect, but you then you acknowledge his big fluffy scarf that covers up the bottom half of his face, you also acknowledge those stitches that crawl up to his cheekbones. he must be hiding his mouth, the dramatic scarf isnt just a stylistic choice.
you wonder if it's his only "flaw". As your mind begins to imagine what his mouth could possibly look like katakuri stops at the doors of the chateau.
The guards hurriedly try to get the doors open "general katakuri we didn't know you were visiting today" says one of the guards in a panic.
"something came up, I must speak to mama" katakuri says impassively "of course sir" the guard says bowing his head before scrambling to help open the heavy doors.
As the doors to the castle open, katakuri walks through them, but as you begin to follow him the guards stop you and look you up and down, wondering why someone like you could be possibly tagging alongside this "perfect" man.
"she's with me" katakuri says with a more serious tone
"apologies sir" the guards say frightenedly. as the guards let you pass you can't help but feel prideful.
As you walk through halls of the castle trying to keep up with the pace of katakuri your stomach begins to turn, you are about to be face to face with big mom herself, a being even more powerful and fearful than katakuri.
After a couple of minutes of walking the halls and passing by urgent servants katakuri stops at two big corridors and you gulp knowing who is going to be behind them.
The two guards that are posted at the door bow their heads "greetings general katakuri" then they click their heels and turn to open the giant doors and you take a deep breath preparing yourself to look into the eyes of a monster.
