Work Text:

Tech, had fallen.

Thankfully though, it wasn’t far and he wasn’t that much hurt either. Not too much, cuts, bruises, a femur, and his pride of course.

Gregor, noticing the fallen trooper immediately, rushing to his aid like it was his duty to do so.

“Tech! Are you alright???”

“I… I think so. Just a tad winded perhaps, but otherwise, I don’t seem to have sustained too many injuries during my fall.”

Tech wasn’t about to play the part of an injured trooper after all!

“Good, I am glad.” Gregor grinned and helped Tech up and onto his feet, even if the genius was a tad wobbly as he stood.

“Yes, well, it was, a surprise for sure. And an unplanned event I would say.”

“I am sure it was. You usually have the best ideas after all, best laid plans so falling, well…”

“Guess I do.” Tech flushed bright red, the compliments getting to the clone naturally. But he had fallen, from a very high level no less.

“Come on then, I got a fresh pot of caf brewing and I was just trying out my new chocolate cake recipe too. Hope you’re hungry!”

Never mind the injuries!

“Sounds heavenly!”

Tech leaned onto Gregor for support as he felt a tad shaky still. Or at least, he loved the attention the other clone was giving him. So why not lean in when he could. Besides, Tech was well versed with Gregor’s superior cooking, or in this case, baking.

The two slowly walked towards the kitchen area of the base, when someone rather sour looking crossed their path.

“Wot’s wrong Foxy?” Gregor recognising the sourpuss face his best friend had on immediately even if Fox might deny it.

Fox simply crossed his arms, standing there, stopping the other two mid way, not uttering a word.

“Foxy?” Gregor asked again, Tech more than confused of this, other clone’s behaviour.

“I am surprised you don’t know what’s wrong with me.” Fox snarled back then. “And who, is this… clone?”

“This is Tech. My friend. The one who saved me with his squad. Ya know, before. He just got here.”

“Clone Force 99?”

“The same one.”

“So why is he here then?”

“He fell.”

“Yes, I fell.”

“From where?”

“The sky.” Simple as that, right?

“Sky? How can you even…???”

“Well, Tech is a very special clone.”

Tech blushing some more.

“Oh?”

“Yes, Foxy, Tech here, is an enhanced clone.”

“So?”

“No reason.”

They stood there for a  long spell, staring at each other. The three of them did.

“So, you mentioned caf and cake?” Tech was feeling awkward enough, as if having stumbled upon something unexpectedly. Guess he really had?

“Oh, yes of course. Come on Tech.” Gregor continued to move along with Tech on his side, alas feeling the eyes of Fox on his back.

Turning to Fox, Gregor simply said.

“Come on Foxy, there’s plenty for us all to share!”

Fox’s eyes grew wide, his stance immediately changing and then, Fox rushed by the other two, half running towards the kitchen.

Fox was there, by the table, practically panting as he waited for Gregor and Tech to take their seats as well.

Gregor did not say anything, simply sat Tech down by the table comfortably. As he then continued to poor caf into three large mugs and then placed the cake onto the table. Making three equal size slices from it and placing them on the plates at hand.

Without a word, they each sipped from their newly brewed special caf and tasted the chocolate cake.

“Mmm.. this is… very good.” Tech told Gregor then, loving the titillating tastes of the baked goods.

“Heavenly! So much caf!!!” Fox mumbled and continued chewing.

“Heh, I am glad you two like it.” Gregor chuckled as he enjoyed his own share.

After all, it was great to share his own creations with his, well now guess two best friends as it turned out.
