Chapter Text

Fate
noun
 /feɪt/

the course of someone's life, or the outcome of a situation for someone or something, seen as outside their control.

Fate, is like a web, there are many pathways and patterns when it comes to fate, but ultimately, we are all stuck to fate and heading towards the same destination.

The papers drop onto the table along with the book in the other hand, making a slam echo throughout the room and Sapnap flinches.

"Not an 'A'... how can I be reassured that you would be fine once you leave?" his father asks.

"There were topics not covered on the test-" Sapnap starts meekly but trails off once their eyes meet.

His father picks up the book again and Sapnap was half ready to get a beating when he places it back onto the shelf.

"Make sure you have everything packed, I don't want to see you back here unless it's for good reason," he grumbles.

"Okay dad-" Sapnap quickly takes the paper from the desk before escaping upstairs, eager to escape. It was going to be the last day with his set up after all so he was going to use it to the fullest.

He tears the paper apart and tosses it into the trashcan and on top of that threw a panda plushie onto the top.

"Alright Dream! We are going to beat the world record- today!" Sapnap exclaims.

"The world record of parkour?" Dream asks in amusement he was already on the minecraft server. "Or the world record of quickiest time for a transfer student to be expelled ever?"

"Please don't do that... unlike you I actually want to graduate," Sapnap grumbles.

"You can still do that without me," Dream snorts.

Still... they were going to a cyber university at least... so it wasn't going to be as different as their previous one.

Dream and Sapnap had been each other's friends since they were 12 and yet, their upbringing is so different they had such extreme views on their education.

Then there was George who joins the discord call after their parkour session to ask about school... again. Dream and Sapnap had one thing in common however was not liking it when homework was raised during gaming times.

Dream was more tolerant than Sapnap who berated at George for making him lose his flow. George starts babbling to cover his voice, leading Dream to break his flow too.

Well, at least their school can't be any worse... right?
