Chapter Text

Nico and Will's relationship took off after their trip to Tartarus and back.

Did it traumatize Will ?

yes.

But at least Nico didn't have to go through that horrible cold place of darkness by himself despite being the literal ghost king Will refused to let his boyfriend fight all those monsters by himself.

Was Will significantly weaker than Nico ?

Pretty much.

Useless ?

Compared to Nico definitely.

While 2-3 years had passed making them both older Will being 17 about to be 18 while Nico just turned 17.

Both parties seem to strive and thrive, Will assists at hospitals which are in the big city however his sole home is still half blood camp despite Nico insisting they both get an apartment. Will was not ready to let camp go just yet.

Nico on the other hand started showing more emotions and started opening more about his past to Will and his friends : Jason,Piper,Reynah,Leo,Frank,Percy and his sister Hazel. Nico had been smiling more than he ever did over the past two years.

Nico had even gotten a growth spurt finally which made him taller than Will who was 5 '8 Nico made it to 5 ‘6 to the least still shorter than Will but not as short as he was before.

The friend group was introduced to Will a long time ago. Everyone knew Will at camp as the healer or head of the Apollo cabin but never really personally.

The group treated Nico as their younger sibling, someone meant to be protected literally as he was younger than most of them except hazel were older than him. So at first of course they were suspicious of Will making sure that he wasn't really a bad person and good enough for Nico.

Despite Nicos threats for them to back the fuck up all of them refused, he eventually gave up but warned them not to freak Will or anything related to scaring Will.

They learned with time and one on one conversations with the blonde headed ray of sunshine that he was a sweet cinnamon roll and there was nothing to worry about.

Nico and Will were an adorable couple and there was nothing to fear, nothing to fear right ?

Nothing to fear.

“No,no,no these are all signs of pregnancy!” Will screeched as he ran his fingers through his ruffled blonde wavy hair, he was at a public restroom; it had been bad enough that he had missed his period last month. He had just assumed that it was the amount of stress that he had put on last month over his medical degree.

Will had thrown up for the-gods he doesn't even know anymore how many times he's thrown up this week but the vomiting wasn't this bad as he remembers.

Nico assumed it was a bad stomach and picked up some pepto-mizmo in the middle of the night at the start of the week when this all started.

When Will woke up vomiting all night and couldn't stop Nico stayed with Will that whole night despite having a quest early in the morning.

Nico helped him through that night.

He remembers like it was yesterday and it was so fucking anonoying why did he have to burden his boyfriend like that ?!

But now he had bigger problems than his medical degree or being a useless boyfriend who only burdens his lover.

“What do I do ?” Will’s sitting on the bathroom floor, hands covering his face, knees drawn up to hug his head -ew it was disgusting lying down on the bathroom floor but he kinda has a crisis going on.

A stranger walked in looking at Will like he was a ghost for a moment then that look being replaced with sympathy.

Right. Even a stranger looked at him with pity. That's how useless he was.

“Ok,first of all I'm not sure if I'm pregnant so a test-yeah- i might not be pregnant!” Will shot up from the floor determined as ever.
A spark in him lit!

Will ran to the nearest drug store which was quite a lot being 4 blocks away from the current location he was in.

The sunshine boy finally made it to the nearest drug store on his bent knees, attempting to catch his breath from who knows how long he had ran.(he wasn't good at math)

Sweat prickling from his forehead as he entered the drug store, The blonde looked up, his eyes wandering from sign to sign to see the aisle numbers and its contents.

“Babies/pregnancy” was to his hard right he swiftly walked to the aisle attempting to not waste any time he didn't want Nico questioning why he had come to camp late.

The boy looked around for a test as he scoped for what he was looking for scanning every little detail from the words to the images of products, he saw items for babies like ; diapers and milk bottles would he need that soon ?!

Will brushed the thought off as he reached the pregnancy area and it was the first thing he found as he found himself practically snatching the thing off the shelf knocking the products around it.

“Shit-” He instantly started picking up everything he had dropped, however one thing caught his eye as he read the label “pregnancy sickness’s helping hand,softens pregnancy sickness”.

He read everything on the bottle after deciding he was also going to buy that,maybe then he wouldn't be a burden to Nico or worry his siblings.

Maybe all of this would just go away.

Just maybe.

Quickly attempting to make his way to the cash register and make a fast purchase.

Wills eyes went wide, his entire body froze as he stopped in his tracks as he exited the aisle, he saw far down someone at the pharmacy area. It was Jason, he wasn't that far down from him either

it was far enough where he could see Will’s face.

The blonde sunshine boy rapidly hid the pregnancy test and pills he had chosen from the specific aisle behind his back.

“If you made it quick he wont see you dumass.” Will reminded himself walking swiftly again towards the check-out area.

Hunching the products to his chest as if someone was going to snatch them from his grip or if they were some kind of gold, he was keeping his head low.

Will’s blonde hair, if you didn't notice, was one of the most recognizable things about him.

Thank the gods for modern day self-check outs to make the process 10x faster. His hands were sweating from the endless possibilities of what would happen if Jason had caught him.

With sweaty hands he scans the two items putting them into the bag faster than he has done any normal task either than saving someone's life he's never had to do something that fast.

Due to his sweaty hands his card slips

“Fuck me!” said loud enough for everyone in the area to hear, Will bent down to pick his card up but before he could tap it

“Im pretty sure Nico does that enough for you!” a familiar voice laughed out loud giggling

“Shit.” Will didn't need to look to see who was behind him cause he knew already, it was Percy.

“Hey-yaa percy watcha doing here.” Will nervously scratches the back of his head desperately trying to cover the screen behind him with it.

“Oh im-here with Jason cause Piper and Annebeth are on their uh-you know what and they need some medicine so we both came here to get it.” Percy was careful with his choice of words clearly hesitant when coming close to the word “period”

He still doesnt know that Will is intersex and the sunshine boy plans to keep it that way. If he can-

The good thing about Percy is that he was mostly oblivious to these types of things.

“Uh-” What if he looks at the screen or in the bag ?!

“Will ?” percy was closer now inspecting Will's face and body language

“Yeah-ill-il- uh be there!” Will smiled thinly at the tall raven-haired boy who was grinning at him.

“PERCY !” a voice called out in the distance- that had to be no other than Jason.

Percy turned around to spot the boy with glasses Will took his chances and quickly tapped his card and rapidly grabbed his bag from the desk counter

His hands were shaking with sweat his forehead still trickling with it,with the back of his wrist he swiped it off swiftly,attempting to avoid raising any eyebrows

“So uh what are you doing here anyway?” percy turned his head faster than light itself,Will jump back a little at the sight of it

“Uh- I needed to get some medicine for my stomach. I haven't really been doing as good recently.” the blonde eyeing his bag and avoiding all eye contact with percy

“Are you sure it's just your stomach you're sweating like crazy!” percy finally noticed scanning Will's sweating forehead the sweat trickling all the way down to his neck, to his butter finger hands

“Uh yeah No-I ran here- that uh probably why” though Will may have been a horrible liar percy was horrible when it came to noticing details his adhd made sure of that

Will technically ran into the right person if it were anyone else he’d be drowned in questions and concerns.

“I'll be there though,cya percy !” Will rapidly waved goodbye and tried to act normal as he attempted to leave before Jason had come to greet him

“Bye !” Percy innocently waved back with wide smile

When Will had finally made it out the store he had made sure as soon as he got out he had to get far from the store to not get spotted by Percy or Jason again.

The blonde stopped sweating when he felt the cold evening wind blow against his hair and face. It felt like a sensation of peace but just for a second-

Just for a moment.

As if all his problems didn't matter and became nothing. He wishes….

“I did everything early, Nico still won't be home for another hour. I should just take it while I can.” Will explained to himself nervously as he hung the bag around his wrist and started rubbing his hands together
It was one of his coping mechanisms.

He eyed the bag which contained what he was talking about

Will decided to take the train to the nearest stop near camp and walk from there. It got colder, it might even start snowing tonight.

What would Nico think if he found out you were pregnant ?

“He wouldnt want a useless medic like you or that poor child that the likes of you are bringing into this world!” a voice roared in his head so loud as he walked through the autumn approaching winter winds.

It just got colder. That was for sure

Will didnt even know if Nico would want the baby.

“What if he tells me to abort it ?!”

“What if he leaves me ?!”

“What if-”

Now it was multiple roars of voices in his head

“WILL!” a voice. He knew that voice. Will turned around to face his sister, Kayla who put both hands on each of his shoulders and shook him aggressively

The sensation made Will’s head spin-his stomach started to get this awful feeling and before he knew it he was shoving his sister aside before even responding to her to run to the nearest bathroom ; the Apollo cabin.

The blonde boy’s mind working before his eyes. He knew the camp by heart after all he didnt even notice he had reached camp it felt like he was walking and walking.

Slamming the door open and hastily closing it, too caught up by feeling the vomit climbing up his throat to remember to lock it

He bent over the toilet and spilled his guts outs, when he finally feltl fine he washes his face and hands (as a doctor he knows all about bacteria trust him)

Tears began to form in his eyes as he fell to the ground curled up into a ball.

“Why did these things always happen to him?!” he,himself was screaming at him for always getting into something

He just wanted this all to be over or wake up and make it seem like it's a dream.

The door opened.

Right he forgot to lock it.

Someone had entered ; his sister who was crouching beside him put her arms around him and for some reason he didnt care if he looked vulnerable.

For the second time in his life he allowed himself to break down in front of someone.

It were moments like these that made Will feel like he could let people see his emotions and not have to bottle them up.

But he let that thought drift into his mind as he snapped back into reality.

“Will I dont know whats happening but Im here ok-please just breath can you do that?” Kayla spoke gently as if he were a fragile little child

Will opened up a little more allowing himself to see her while still covering his face,he just couldn't hide the shame of being vulnerable.

“yeah -no thanks Kayla im fine.” Will’s breathing was heavy as he placed one hand over his chest as if it were meant to help him get more air and wobbly stood up like he was standing on 1 leg but he wasn't.

“Will dont give me that bullcrap- you're always there for us-let-just-let me help you big bro, just this once please tell me what's wrong Im here for you” she gave him a sad smile standing up to his pace.

She once again wrapped her arms around him,which he didnt object to in anyway he embraced her as she whispered to him even softer

“Just tell me whats wrong please-” she was pleading with him her eyes started to fill with tears as she gently released the hug instead taking Will’s hands and absorbing them into hers

Great now he was even a burden to his sister.

Why was he becoming everyone's problem?

“Useless healer”

“Good for nothing”

“You couldnt save them”

“He died because of you”

“You failed as a medic”

The thoughts roared loudly in his mind once again, tears were flowing from his eyes as he looked at his sister

She looked sympathetic with him, her puppy dog eyes frowning with her.

Without catching another beat “I think I'm pregnant!” Will's voice felt like it echoed through the bathroom

Why did he tell her ?

He didnt mean to it just–he-just-Why did he do that ?

Will was waiting for her disappointed look “how could you get pregnant so young?” as he withdrew his hands from hers,again rubbing his hands together to ease the tension

Kayla's expression changed rapidly and to Will's surprise not in a bad way.

Her face went from wide eye shock to absolute joy as she began to hop in one place bouncing up and down

“OH MY GOD REALLY,WILL THAT'S AMAZING!” She embraced him into a very tight hug

WIll still shocked by her reaction “you're not disappointed or mad?” his eyes wide unable to move or say anything beyond that really

“Of course not silly!” she let him go for the second time out of the hug and she was practically jumping for joy and grinning widely at him

“I didnt take the test though I-m not sure.” he admitted, bringing his arms up and crossing them, his eyes looking down, mouth frowning.

“Welll -come on, let's go!” she grabbed him roughly by the wrist dragging his out of the bathroom, her pace slow her legs fast

“Uh-where we going ?” Will softly asked his sister as she brought him from the washroom to their cabin kitchen she finally let go of him

Unable to tame her smile she still didnt give the boy a response, she walked towards the fridge she took something out of it turned around with a large grin and held it up

She finally said “we're going to make you take that test dumbazz!” she yelled in excitement she was holding two bottles of orange juice one is each hand she place both bottes on the island as she went to grab a cup

Will’s face turned red from the mention of the test “ Kayla quiet down someone might hear” shushing his sister

“Oops sorryyyyy.” She didn't sound so sorry, Will just slapped his forehead in response not surprised by his sisters outburst

She was a daughter of Apollo after all he's not blaming her.Apollo kids are usually loud it's like a genetic trait supposedly from their dad.

But now thinking of it, the weight felt easier to carry now that someone else knew it still wasnt the same as telling Nico but he would get there. Well- he thinks..

“So what-im just gonna drink 2 whole bottles of orange juice-why can't I drink water or something?” Will questioned her, his fingers tapping the island impatiently eyes wandering the cabin as if had never seen it before new decorations were put up by if he was guessing the new set of Apollo kids.

“Well jeeeez if you prefer water over-JUICE just say that!” she looked at him in disbelief while pouring the juice into two glasses.

One of the glasses was way bigger than the other. Yep that was his for sure. Will sat down on a high stool he pulled from beneath the island.

Kayla then rolled her eyes and pushed the tallest glass towards him.”just drink it already.”

Will put his hands around the cup, eyes locked on it he took a deep breath then brought the cup up to his mouth and started chugging it down.

“I can't tell if you're thirsty or determined.” Kayla raised an eyebrow watching her brother chug 1 liter of orange juice

Will continued to pour glass after glass of orange juice. Still nothing.

10 minutes later….

“Ugh. My stomach hurts. I just drank 5 liters of orange juice and I still can't pee.” Will pouted elbows covering his face as he brought his head down on the surface of the table.

“Uh, maybe try water ?” she sympathetically looked at him grabbing a water bottle from the cabinet and sliding it to him from across the island

“Thanks-” he head rose as he reached his arm out to grab the water but he didnt need it to cause the urge to finally hit him like a truck.

Ugh finally. Will thought to himself. Rushing to the washroom and opening the box in a hurry he threw it in the trash bin. He opened up the plastic and took it out.

Looking at the pregnancy test itself was chilling to the bone,not knowing what might be the results of the test of chilling to the marrow.

Will realized he was shaking his hands unsteady on the test.

It's now or never.

“Hey bro you good in there?!” a soft knock on the door,Will was in the bathroom for quite some time now he sat on the floor his legs crossed his mind spaced out.

Will’s mind just hoped it was some sort of Illness or sickness that had pregnancy-like symptoms Snapping but he knew better.

back to reality when hearing his sister's voice “uh yeah im fine, nothing yet.” his voice was barley above a whisper.

Will finally stood up and with shaky hands and half closed eyes picked up the test, would pray to the GODS work now or was it too late for that ?

2 lines - “pregnant”

Before Will had any reaction to the test-

“WILL, NICO’S BACK AND HE'S LOOKING FOR YOU,HURRY.” Kayla sounded panicked as she gave her brother the warning, her voice just a whisper.

Well shit.

Fuck.

Dammit.

And all the other damn swear words he could think of.

Chapter Text

Finally the quest was over. It felt like forever even though it was only half a day and the only thing Nico wanted to do more than sleep was see his boyfriend.

When he made it to the Apollo Cabin he knocked once.

No answer.

So he knocked again.

Still no answer.

He knocked finally for the 3rd time.

“Hello?”

strange.

Will was usually home by this time. A few seconds later someone actually opened the door.

It was Will’s sister Kayla. “Uh hey Kayla is Will home yet ?” Nico asks softly, his body too tired to do anything else but sleep,eat and cuddle with his boyfriend.

“Uh-he-uh-had something to do in the uh-infirmary. ” she was avoiding eye contact and looking around,stuttering on every word.

Nico wasn't dumb,the 2nd most powerful demi-god isn't just any achievement.

She was lying or she was nervous.

Nervous about some kind of secret or something. If not…

why would she lie about something as small as where Will is.Nico puts his full trust in Will his mind never goes to cheating.

“Uh-ok ill check thanks.” he doesnt push it but still his mind wanders into why she would have a reason to lie.

Did he go to the infirmary ?

NOPE

He decided he was going to take a shower and come back to see if Will was back by then from the gods know where.

He slowly started walking to his cabin,stretching his arms behind his back while yawning.

His mind still couldn't rest on the fact that Will's sister would be lying to him about where Will was.

But he tried for as long as he could.

If he could.

“Hes gone for now but he’ll definitely come back.” Kayla wiped sweat off her forehead she was a horrible liar just like her brother.

“Thanks sis- i owe you one but cause you're a terrible liar he probably thinks something is up.” Will walked out of the bathroom test in his grip as he sighed heavily

He held it up for her to see,he looked away when showing it to her. It made it easier,for him at least.

Kayla was clearly filled with joy. It was written all over her face but her joy turned into sympathy as soon as she read her brother's face.

“Hey its going to be ok-” before she could finish her sentence Will cut her off

Will was tired of “its gonna be ok” crap. When he was 18 he knew everything in the world was hell nothing’s sunshine and rainbows. He learned that in the war both of his brothers were taken from him.

“YOU DONT KNOW THAT STOP SAYING THAT !” he snapped at her,eyes bloodshot . His entire body hurt and he didnt know why. He turned to look at her, finally looking her in the eyes.

The ginger was speechless,shocked at her brother's sudden outburst. Will would take on stress,yes but he had never snapped like that before.

Realizing what had just happened Will's eyes started flowing with tears as he covered his mouth with his hands in shock of what just happened.

“Im sorry-i just-i-” The blonde attempted to explain himself using hand gestures every time he tried to say something.

The words just wouldn't form.

“Hey-its ok i know its hard for you” She spoke with him softly again. She moved closer to the blonde attempting to put her hand on his shoulder to show him her support.

However Will flinched when she tried,this painted a hurt and sympathetic look on her face. It hurt her to see her brother so broken up like that.

“I need some time to think, thanks for everything though.” Will walked away. Test still in his hand then other hand had the pills he had gotten from the pharmacy earlier.
Will didnt want to believe the test but facts and belief are two different things.

He loved Nico and of course he one day wanted a kid with him, he wanted to marry Nico and start a family of their own.

But a kid right now ? They dont even have their own house or both of them just started their actual lives.

Would Nico want to deal with the baby or him? How could he even put up with Will in the first place?

Thoughts started racing in Will’s mind these thoughts come a ton because of a disorder Will has called OCD.

There is no cure. Just unwanted thoughts and unwanted habits for life.

Will is lying down in bed, arms on his abdomen. He had placed the test in a plastic bag(cause it had urine on it like HELLO-) and threw it. He had wished this would happen so much later in life.

It's too late for that now. Will thought about abortion but it seemed too cruel to punish a life that he had created even if it was just a clump of cells for now.

The ray of sunshine couldn't just bring himself to do it or even think deeper into the idea of abortion. But thinking about terminating the baby before telling the father was also a little crueler.

His eyes were fluttering open and shut as he slept in a fetal position and closed his eyes for a bit.

But before Will could fall asleep someone had shown up beside him-

“Nico ?” Nico had probably been let in by Austin who was unaware of the entire situation. The raven haired boy looked comfy he was wearing : a baggy grey T-shirt with a skull in the middle and some baggy pants that stopped at his ankles.

“Hey-how do you feel? Still an upset stomach ?” The ghost boy was clearly concerned and worried for his boyfriend. Sitting on the bedside while stroking the blonde's head.

“Yeah- just a bit though- it's going away.” The blonde face fell and something else took over him ;guilt.

Keeping Nico in the dark was eating him alive and the ray of sunshine felt like he owned Nico to tell him about the pregnancy.

But Will didn't know how. The what if’s started coming back but this time for Nico’s sake he pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind.

Breathing out slowly Will had gotten up from the fetal position he was in. Now he was sitting up, his legs bent as he hugged his knees.

Nico beside him arms around the blonde cuddling him,same bent knees but instead of hugging his knees it was his boyfriend.

Will just wanted to be over with it yet his mouth didn't move at all. Nico’s mouth opened instead “mind if I use the washroom ?” he asked politely, slightly moving towards the end of the bed.

“This is practically your second home, you don't need to ask, you know.” The blonde rolled his eyes at his boyfriend's question and started to get off the bed with him.

Placing a kiss on Will’s head then swiftly leaving to use the washroom.

Finally after a long day he could kiss and hug his boyfriend.

Did Will just come back or was he always in the cabin ? Did Kayla lie or was she just nervous about something. She looked a little freaked out.

Maybe something personal happened ?

Nico reached the washroom. He had washed his face because he was half asleep.Beside the sink was a small trash can,not huge but small for small packages and plastic wraps.

Something caught his eye and it was most definitely not a toothpaste bottle squeezed to the brink of death.

Was he seeing this right ?

The raven hair boy’s eyes went wide, realising what it was, his body stopped motion. In the background was only the sound of water falling from the tap.

His mind went back and remembered the way Kayla’s expression was kind of freaked when answering the door to Nico earlier.

It was a pregnancy test box,it was opened and it was in the bin with nothing left in its contents.

Was she pregnant ? OH shi- Should he uh tell Will or should Will find out for himself ?

Nico hurried back to Will realising how long its been and when he got back it was sort of awkward despite it being just fine about 15 minutes ago.

Will was on his phone sitting on the edge of the bed when Nico had returned. Will looked exhausted yet he was typing fast and aggressively like trying to find the answer to something.

“um-Will-i dont know how to tell you this” Nico started slowly Will slightly looked up and gave Nico a little nod Nico took a seat next to the blonde.

“But uh I found something in the washroom,bin and uh it was a pregnancy test-thing- box.” Nico nervously looked at Will who was to his left waiting for his reaction.

Will finally stopped texting but it was so sudden like hearing the words pregnancy made him stop. I mean if your sister was pregnant wouldn't you ?

If his sister was still here.

The blonde looked up and his expression was a mix of horrified and shocked yet he seemed more horrified than shocked which was weird right ?

His sister is pregnant. He's acting as if he was pregnant or something…

Will dropped his phone and his hands started becoming sweaty, his forehead started building up sweat again.

Is this how Nico would find out ?

He had been a total idiot and threw the pregnancy box in the cabin washroom trash bin. Cons sharing a bathroom with your siblings.

“I-” but before Will could say anything Nico unintentionally cut him off

Will started rubbing his hands together, panicked by the entire situation,unsure of how to get out this one.

“I think it might be Kayla’s sorry if this is a lot for you to hear from me” Nico slowly spoke, whispering softly before picking up his boyfriend's phone from the floor.

The blonde's face went through several different emotions before sticking with confusion. Eyebrows raised as Nico handed him his phone that he had picked off the floor for him.

So Nico thought Kayla was pregnant. That could be his escape.

Yet the whole idea seemed selfish of him putting his sister in that position-but it wouldn't be forever rightttt it was just one small favor.

“That's-uh-shocking news to me.” The sunshine boy acting genuinely shocked as he brushed off some blonde curls that were in his face blocking his view.

“Sorry if you had-to find out this way-i should have just let her tell you.” Nico's face filled with regret and guilt

Will couldnt take it anymore why was NICO feeling guilty he wasn't the one keeping something so important from his partner.

Fuck. “Uh-if you don't mind I should probably talk to her about it you know-just give her-the good-old-talk?” Will nudged the shorter man chuckling, putting on the fakest smile he could pull off.

Nico was only 2 inches shorter by the way.(they look almost the same in height).Nico only nodded his head understandingly. Kissing the blonde on the forehead and then walking towards the door.

“Nico wait-I” Will called out to the raven haired boy. He realized it was because he wanted Nico to stay but he had a doctor's appointment to book.

Nico froze and slightly turned his body to face his boyfriend. “Hm?” eyebrows raised,confusion filled Nico's face.

“Uh--nevermind.” crossing his arms as if he were hugging himself Will just glanced at his boyfriend for a quick second then looked at the ground. What was he doing! He doesn't want to tell Nico like this.

“Hey if there's something bothering you-” The shorter boy face was painted with something else ; Sympathy. He spoke gently as he started walking back towards Will.

“Uh-no it's nothing really it was stupid-i just uh forgot when Percy’s meet up thing was happening.” The blonde quickly spoke, filling in his words,fidgeting with his phone case,eyes still unable to meet Nico's.

When Will feels guilt or is lying he doesn't look people in the eye.

How could he possibly ?

“Oh uh-its happening tomorrow, did you not read the texts in the group chat ?” Nico tilted his head and gave a puzzled stare at the Son of Apollo.

Shit the group chat he had totally forgotten about that.The Son of Apollo's face was more redder than a sunset itself. He was just on his phone,hes officially a fucking percy jackson certified level tier idiot.

“I'm sorry darlin, it's- just so cooped up in work- and all!” Will responded to The son of hades question shoving a pillow in his own face to hide his embarrassment.

Nico chuckled slightly at the sight and continued in his path to the door in a quiet voice “I love you.”

So quiet some people would probably miss it but not Will. Removing the pillow from his face from Nico’s statement the embarrassing blush on his face turned into a flattered blush.

What had Will been doing on his phone apparently super aggressively ?

He had been booking the closest appointment with his doctor to check if everything was alright with the baby despite just finding out. Better safe than sorry.

Tomorrow was going to be a long day…. Right after the appointment Will has to ride with Nico to Percy and Annabeth's place but somehow he had to get around Nico and tell him he was doing some business in the city.

Welp, tomorrow cant be any worse right ?

10:30 am hospital wilsbury new york city.

“Will Solace ?” A nurse called out,her voice loud and clear, her expression unreadable.Yet she looked like she had gotten a maximum of 2 hours of sleep.

Will had practically jumped up at hearing his name from his not so comfortable hospital waiting room seat.

He was still rubbing his eyes from waking up at 8 am in the morning. In New York the streets were really cramped there was no way you could make it anywhere without hopping on the road two hours before time.
Especially from Camp.

“Follow me.” The nurse led the blonde into a room where she gestured to the examination table and continued with “please,wait the doctor will be with you shortly.” her tone bland she then scurried off to do for all he knew important things nurses do.

They are the backbone of hospitals after all.

Will took a good look around the room, there were posters of pregnancy,menstrual cycles and posters of safe sex.

It felt odd being the one sitting on the examination table usually since he's the medic of a camp full of idiots always injuring themselves he is always the one on the stool.

The doctor he was being attended to was no normal doctor,she was a gynecologist and boy did her office show it. For some reason the posters slightly made him uncomfortable but he couldnt quite place his finger on why.

(a gynecologist is a doctor that specializes in female reproductive organs.)

Across from him was an office chair and in front of the office chair was a huge desktop computer. The screen contained medical forms that the doctor attending had to fill out.

The son of Apollo already knew all of this becoming a doctor himself; this was all nothing new to him. Finally a figure had entered the room.

Will’s gaze turned to her, “Will solace ?” she asked in that polite doctor like tone and a smile

“Yeah that's-me” Will nodded his head attempting to return her smile he smiled thinly at her to let his body relax.

“It says that you are with child,Congrats ! and you would like an ultrasound on the baby and you just wanna check-up." She sat in the office chair opening what seemed to be a file of Will’s medical history on the computer and started reading his reasoning for the appointment.

“Yeah-uh-pretty much.” Scratching the back of his head Will became tense knowing the examination was about to start.

“I just have to ask these questions before we start the ultrasound.” The tiny sounds of her clicking on her mouse had become louder to him than their voices.

Giving a tiny nod,Will seemed unbothered for now.

“When did you discover you were pregnant ?’ she gave him a quick glance while she asked if her eyes were sharp but unthreatening.

“Um-just last night.I took a test” letting his arms relax to his sides reminding himself he had nothing to worry about.

The doctor's expression remained unreadable as she turned back to her screen to type on the computer. She then glanced back at Will.

“Have you consumed alcohol or drugs in the past 2 weeks ?” her voice stern. Awaiting Will's response her eyes were still sharp.

“No-not that I remember of.” The blonde swiftly closed his eyes for a few seconds attempting to remember the past two weeks. Which was a disaster due to him being “sick” with his pregnancy-like symptoms ; morning sickness or vomiting to anything he couldn't stand.

By the time he had opened his eyes the doctor already finished typing out his response to the last question. “When was the last time you had sexual intercourse.” pushing her glasses back on the bridge of her noise one leg crossed on top of the other.

“I think it was about 3 weeks ago.” squeezing his eyes shut again to recall the moment when he did though his face went strawberry red.

The doctor took one look at Will and burst out into laughter, making the blush become embarrassment. When she collected herself she spoke softly.

“It's fine sweetheart, it's a normal reaction,now please lie flat on your back and slightly lift up your shirt.” Will did as instructed a little nervous about this part but still obeyed a bit of sweat running down his neck.

The doctor ; doctor Lopez was her name, held a bottle of gel and squeezed a bit of it on his exposed stomach.

The gel was warm and actually felt good, it was good for a horrible period with cramps but it was obviously used for medical reasons.Docter lopez rolled a machine that Will recognized it was to his left and he didn't even notice it was there at all.

She brought the handle looking mechanic that was attached to the ultrasound machine and started rubbing it back and forth on his stomach in search for something. The sensation felt weird.

Will was about to say something before his eyes fell on the ultrasound monitor. There it was,his baby no- Nicos baby. He felt a small bit of protectiveness at the sight of the child.

“It seems like your pregnancy has gone unnoticed for a few months Mr.Solace and it seems you're 4 months pregnant.” Dr.Lopez also was looking at the monitor

The blonde was still looking at the monitor with eyes of love before hearing the words that slipped out of her mouth. “4 MONTHS PREGNANT!?” Will grabbed the paper on the examination table in shock.

Eyes fully wide, flabbergasted and astonished by what he had just heard. He had been pregnant. With a child. For 4 MONTHS. ?! and he didn't notice. Jeez on a notice like that his symptoms seemed pretty late.

“I take it you just recently started experiencing symptoms ?” The doctor raised an eye brow glancing at Will,she looked unbothered.

“Yeah-so I thought that-” Will quickly used hand gestures and started speaking at a rapid paste but before he could finish the doctor had cut him off.

“You thought that you were at least a few weeks pregnant only?” Dr. lopez eyes brows still raised,her expression remained the same. She put the ultrasound handle back along with the machine she put in the corner.

The doctor slowly took off her gloves, throwing it in the small trash bin beside her desk and what took from the shelf what seemed to be a tower that was nicely folded she placed it beside Will on the examination table.

Will understood what he had to do,volunteering in hospitals for long periods of time really taught you a ton of things.

Will grabbed the towel wiping the gel off his stomach gently looking at the doctor for some guidance in where to put the towel now soaked with Gel.

Geez was this a story to tell this kid.

After the appointment Will walked to the sandfort library, a library in which he enjoyed studying in and in which he had requested Nico to pick him up from.

Now Will thought of it because he had gained weight in the past months but had no time to think anything of it with his medical school entrance exam and all the volunteering he had done.

A familiar figure had appeared in front of the blonde while he was thinking,blinking back to reality from his thoughts in front of him was the one and only Nico di angleo.

Nico had been wearing his classic ; aviator jacket,ripped jeans and black t-shirt. Additionally he had a medium sized bag falling off his shoulder.

The event percy and annabeth held was a sleepover after finally getting their own place they decided to celebrate by inviting their closest friends.

Which included ; jason,piper,hazel,frank.nico,leo,reynah.

Despite Percy being Nico’s past crush Will was able to see past it as the guy seemed loyal and as happy as ever to be with his now-wife Annabeth.

“Are you seriously gonna shadow travel there? You know cars are a thing!” Will’s eyebrows furrowed as he scolded his boyfriend.

“Sweetheart its new york and juleus-albert had things to attend to….” Nico chuckled nervously as he attempted to reason with the blonde putting his hands up to surrender when the blonde gave him a good glare.

“Fine but-just this once. You understand ?” Will shook his head to one side as he clearly looked frustrated with the raven haired boy as he crossed his arms and gave into the son of hades allowing him to shadow travel them to Percy and Annabeth's new place.

At first sight the house was medium,perfect for the start of a new life. It had lights that led up to the front door and the decoration looked stunning.Flowers and plants covered every angle and side. 2 small chairs covered with lily and daffodils.

“Yep,Annabeth definitely did all of this because Percy can't do shit when it comes to designing .” Nico wined as they made their way up the few steps. That made Will crack up a little bit.

Will was the one to reach out and politely knock on the door when a figure appeared behind them.

“Excuse you, I chose the flowers that have to count for something!” the familiar voice of Percy Jackson yelled at the son of Hades.

That made Will jump out of his spot clutching Nico's shirt. “FOR THE LOVE OF APOLLO STOP DOING THAT !” Will screamed at Percy who was laughing his butt off at the reaction of Will.

Nico scowled at Percy's laughter when another familiar figure slapped the back of The laughing man’s head making him wince in pain.

“OW-ANNABETH THAT HURT!” Percy frowned, rubbing the back of his head, turning to look at the one and only Annabeth, daughter of athena.

At Percy’s pain, it was now Nico’s turned to laugh making fun of percy in everyway possible,it made Will feel bad for the son of poseidon but he did deserve it so it did put a smile on the sunshine boy’s face.

“Sorry for this seaweed brain’s behavior guys,come take a look inside!” She gave a sorry look as she apologized to the couple, opening the door in front of them and gesturing with her hand for them to come inside as she dragged Percy, pulling him by the ear.

“ow-Ow-OW-oW!” Percy screamed as she did so attempting to release himself from her grip.

“You guys are actually quite early-everyone should arrive at 3-feel free to explore. When everyone comes we’ll show all the parts of the house here’s your guys room-if you need anything just ask!” Annabeth led them to a medium sized room that looked like it could fit about at least 4 people.

“Your house looks pretty nice, congrats on getting it.” Nico congratulated Percy and Annabeth, placing the bag him a Will had packed on the floor.

Will was blinded by looking around that he spaced out and before he knew it Annabeth and Percy were leaving the room he and Nico were in.

Will just gave a small smile as the pair left.When the door closed he finally relaxed.

Nico put his hands on Will’s shoulders “hey-is everything ok ?” He simply and sofly asked the sunshine boy.

Will was confused by the question: had he done anything to make Nico feel like there was something up?

“Uh-im fine-why are you asking ?” Will’s face contorted in confusion eyeing Nico with ‘what are you talking about’ expression

Nico looked him in the eyes and let go of his shoulders but opened his mouth “its just-” the raven boy nervously continued

“It feels like you’ve been more distant from me-I don't know why-it just-it feels like that-and- I know I can be distant sometimes but-you know you can..-tell me anything right ?” Nico’s expression softened as he took Will’s hands and slightly squeezed them

Will felt guilty. Here his boyfriend was thinking him being distant was his fault yet it was all Will’s fault. If he hadn't been such a coward maybe Nico wouldn't feel this way .

‘Soon’ Will thought to himself. Soon he would tell Nico everything and there would be no more secrets.

Will let go of Nico’s hands as he started “ Yeah..-i uh- I know baby.” a sad smile was given to Nico from Will.

Nico looked hurt by this action but said nothing. They both decided they needed some sleep and they both laid down on the soft bed being consumed by the mattress.
Boy was the drama just starting……

While the Solangelo couple were napping the others had arrived first Jason,Piper and Leo who arrived together as a three.

Followed by Hazel and Frank who now had a baby girl named mei audora zhang she was 1 years old and said to be very sassy.

Reynah arrived last as her job required her. But at last the group was back together and boy was this gonna be one reunion.

Finally waking up, Will and Nico made their way downstairs to find everyone already there.

Everyone greeted each other, Piper running to mei squeezing and hugging the baby as she played with her and volunteered to hold the baby when her parents got tired.

They decided it was best to eat before doing anything so they all agreed to order pizza, splitting the bill ordering 1 large pepperoni pizza,1 large veggie pizza and a small cheese pizza with a few sodas on the side.

Everyone shared old adventure memories as they mimicked each other’s tones and past actions just to laugh it off at the very end.

Of course Will could not relate to most things they had to say as he wasnt present during any of their adventures really but smiled and laughed along to their jokes and stories.

“So Will, how did you know Nico was the one you wanted to spend the rest of your life with ?” the curious,mischievous builder,Leo asked with a huge grin on his face as he practically swallowed a huge slice of Pepperoni pizza turning to look at Will.

Everyone’s eye suddenly fell upon the boy of sunshine

“Well-hes everything I need and want and there's no other way to explain it.” Will smiled nervously at the crowd looking at him

“Cornyyyyyy-man I wish I had someone to be corny with!” leo shouted in frustration as he crossed his arms, his pizza plate in his lap.

“You’ll find love one day buddy and when it does it’ll hit you like a truck.” Jason patted the frustrated boy on the back reassuring him, smiling at his friends words.

The group each gave a chuckle at the site of Leo's frustration and anger.

They then started to talk about marriage and kids and all the what not Will was just glad he wasnt the center of attention for a while until-

“Sooooo- how many kids do you guys want ?!” piper mischivously asked her eyes going around to look at all her friends

Annabeth held up 3 fingers Percy held up 3 as well. Hazel held up 3 while Frank held up 2. Leo held his 4 fingers up not shocking the group.While Jason held up 2 fingers. Piper herself hung up 2 fingers,Reynah holding up 1, while Nico held up 2 fingers. Will’s stupid ass not thinking to his desire held up 6.

Making the entire group’s jaw’s drop down as they laughed at the sunshine boy’s answer, Nico's pale skin turning a very dark shade of red using his hands in an attempt to cover his face.

Will looked around as realised he was the only one with more than 5 fingers up he quickly joined Nico turning into a very dark shade of red as well stuttering and attempting to open his mouth to say something

“I mean-as an Apollo kid I grew up in a huge household so-I do want a lot-of-kids.” Will attempted to justify himself.

But the damage was done.

“IMAGINE NICO BEING A DAD THOUGH! Percy’s loud laughed echoed from the living room through the halls

Leo joining in quoting “you cant date till your 50” wheezing so hard he fell onto the ground

Reynah mentally slapped herself across the face of the site of the idiots.Nico’s face didn't change at all, still in a very dark shade of red.

“Shu-shut up both of you!” Nico growled to the both of the two who were laughing at their own jokes they made about Nico becoming a parent.

“Hey uh Will could you get mei’s bottle from our bedroom I would tell frank but- he went to the washroom and she's getting crankier.” Hazel whispered to Will as the group continued to talk and she attempted to shush the now about to cry baby.

“Sure no problem.” Will gave a small smile to the daughter of hades as he slowly got up.

“Its on the dressing table.” she swiftly and quietly said and she went back to shushing her daughter the other catching eye of this and attempting to give the baby toys.

With this information Will went upstairs and looked around at all the rooms. In total there were 5 bed rooms and 2 washrooms just upstairs.

Will’s eye wandered from bedroom to bedroom puzzling who’s bedroom was giving a rapid peak in each room finally reaching the second last which was hazel and franks bedroom telling from the baby bassinet and the literal baby bottle that was on the dresser.

Will went inside and grabbed the bottle making his way through the hallway and down the staircase which was leaning sideways and pretty long.

Without skipping a beat Will had been falling from the what felt like only the 14th step-

“Shit-” before the son of Apollo could catch himself he found himself falling down straight face down and suddenly everything went black.

His vision and hearing went blurry,there were figures around him but he couldn't make out who they were, specifically his head hurt. But that wasn't even the worst part,he fell face down on his stomach and abdomen.

THE BABY-

Will attempted to move his hand but his body was stiff and refusing to go there was bloody. He could tell how much but it wasn't a small amount.

He could hear voices around him : yelling,screaming,calling out for something-no-someone.Before finally passing out he made a figure ; Nico,he looked worried, scared and nervous.

Then everything went-

black.

Chapter Text

Nico rush Will to the ER with his shadow traveling, his mind going through a whole load of emotions. Why was there so much blood coming from Will’s-.

Finally reach the ER “SOMEONE PLEASE HELP MY BOYFRIEND FELL FROM A WHOLE LOT OF STAIRS AND IS UNCONSCIOUS AND BLEEDING!” Nico shouted to any doctor or nurse who would listen.

Some nurses came in with a stretcher and Nico with shaky hands placed the blonde boy onto it letting him go and the nurses rushed him behind two large doors.

Nico asked a nurse “ is he going to be ok ?!” He was clearly distressed. Who wouldn't be ?

The nurse gave him a doubtful look while attempting to reassure him “We will do everything in our power to make sure he makes it.” was all she said before giving Nico a glance of sympathy then she took her leave

Nico’s head turned towards the doors they took Will away through tears started to prick his eyes threatening to fall but all that mattered right now to him was that Will was ok.Covering his face with his hands as he sat down in the waiting room.

“He's losing a lot of blood !” a nurse screeched looking at the monitor as Will’s blood pressure dropped

“Get a CT scan and brain scan just looking for any invisible injuries!” a doctor ordered as he attempted to secure Will’s pressure and provided him with Blood

The monitor stopped rapidly blinking and became a normal beat. All the doctors and nurses in the room relaxed a little more at the sight of it.

“He's stable for now, now gets both scans done. I suspect he may have a brain bleed to make sure no fluid is trapped inside the abandonment.” The doctor in charge ordered all the minor doctors and nurses who were still working away ; filling out Will’s chart,giviing him an IV or securing the monitor itself.

“Sir there seems to be a lot of blood from the genital area.” a nurse pointed out looking through some charts and glanced at Will’s body switching time from time handing them to the doctor

“It seems like our patient has DSD female genitalia. I doubt it's his menstrual cycle after taking this much trauma to the abdomen.” The doctor scratched the edge of his chin in thought as the trauma doctors took Will for scans.

“I'm thinking miscarriage or internal vaginal trauma.” Finally releasing his thought finally reaching the bottom of the chart to read ‘4 months pregnant’

“crap , SELINAH GETS A ULTROSOUND ON THE PATIENT the MASSIVE BLEEDING IN THE GENTLE AREA MIGHT BE OF MISSCARIAGE!” screaming to the nearest nurse in panic while the nurse ran to the trauma unit.

Nico fell asleep while waiting until someone shook him.Nico blinked and rapidly opened his eyes in hopes it would be Will.

Yet his excitement was quickly dismissed when he saw the faces of his tired and worried friends who were the closest thing he had to family either than Hazel.

Nico shifted out of his seat upon seeing them attempting to get up only to be stopped by Jason.

“Hey don't do that. Rest.” Jason put a hand on Nico’s shoulder and sat beside the distressed looking son of Hades.

Hazel practically jumped at Nico giving him a tight hug and refusing to let go,Nico embraced the hug and he didn't want to let go.

Finally after what felt like moments Hazel released the hug and sat on the other side of Nico.The others were giving their condolences to Nico.

Percy,leo,jason and frank practically squeezed the man to death as they gave him what they thought to be a comforting hug.

Unlike the others Reynah gave Nico a soft comforting hug knowing him very well.

Annabeth and Piper being the only 2 giving Nico a friendly normal hug. After they began attempting to comfort Nico in any way they could possibly.

Right then a nurse entered the waiting room and she seemed to be walking to the group. Was she trying to kick them out ? Were they being too loud?

“Which one of you is the boyfriend of Will Solace?” She asked the group her voice loud and clear, her eyebrows raised as she looked down at her board then back at the group.

Nico quickly shot up out of his seat and raised his right hand “ME-that would be me.” Nico anxiously replied his mind rushing all kinds of ideas of how Will was doing.

“ How is he ?!” Nico quickly added

The nurse looked at Nico then at the group behind him whose eyes were all on the nurse. “First would you like me to say the information in front of this entire group? Who are they in relation?”

“Their-..” Nico trailed off before he turned his head to look behind at his friends who all gave him soft reassuring smiles.

“Their-family..their my family.” The son of Hades' voice grew stronger and more reassuring as he completed his sentence. His eyes met with the nurses whose expression was unreadable..

“Very well.” The nurse flipped through some pages on her board, her eyes moving from line to line as she read.

Everyone,especially Nico became tense,uneasy and fearful.

“We stabilized the patient and he should be good to leave in 3 days. He's alright.no bleeding in the brain or fluid in the body, just a heavily bruised stomach and abdomen.” The nurse with no emotion read off the papers.

Nico’s eyes flooded with tears hearing her first few words as he fell to the ground. Jason,Reynah and Hazel ran to him helping him up with a smile lit on each of their faces.

“See I told you he’d be fine.” reynah wiped Nico’s tears away embracing him once more

Nico wasnt crying cause he was sad now,he was crying out of relief. For once in his life he could thank the fates and the gods.

However the nurse wasn't finished

“Excuse me sir-but that isn't all there's still more.” The nurse continued her gaze softening at the scene unfolding in front of her yet still she remained unreadable.

Nico's now standing, his eyes flickered towards the board as she continued,he was more relaxed visibly now.

Letting his guard down.

Wrong move.

“As you know your boyfriend has the condition of DSD-”

Nico nodded, arms crossed unsure of where this would go, eyebrows raised, eyes furrowed.

“It seems that he was pregnant and upon impact the baby was miscarried,I'm sorry for your loss, however you may see him now.” She lowered her head as she gave her condolences before walking away behind the giant closed doors again.

Nico’s eyes went wide and he was dumbfounded. He felt like everything around him stopped moving.

Voices were calling out to him but he made no effort to make out who they belonged to. Loud gasps were heard.Nico cared for none of it.

Will was pregnant?! With his baby?! How-no-why-no-

Nico couldn't even form words, screw words he couldn't form thoughts.Yet he was still standing in the same spot he had been standing.

He went as frozen as a statue.

Wil blinked his eyes open slowly attempting to move his arm only to be stopped by a nurse.

“You have an IV in your arm, try not to move as much as you can, you're still a little blue from the nasty fall you took.” The nurse's voice was calm and steady, his hands placed over Will attempting to keep him in place.

Everything that had happened flashed quickly like keyframes into Will’s mind. The son of Apollo quickly asked the nurse about the one thing that mattered more than Nico.

“What about my baby ?!” Will weakly asked the nurse giving up on trying to sit up

The nurse’s eyes didn't meet Will’s-no instead it became something else of concern. It became sympathetic and without telling Wil. Will he know exactly what happened?

“No-That-this-isnt-” tears started to form in Will’s eyes. He was trying to wake up from this dream- this HORRIBLE DREAM where he was still lying down beside Nico or he fell asleep to the group telling stories.

“Im sorry but the impact of the fall turned the pregnancy into a miscarriage.” An anxious look of sadness painted on the Nurses face as he attempted to replace Wills IV.

The nurse left and came back with food,but Will refused to eat,he refused to sleep when the nurses offered a little more rest time.

“You have visitors!” the nurse clapped happily as an attempt to try and cheer Will up but Will didn't move at all.

It was like someone took a vacuum and sucked all the sunshine out of him. All the attending nurses became concerned for Will.

With no doubt he had fallen into a great-depression , refusing to do anything at all but just stare at the wall in his hospital bed.

The nurse just gave Will a sad smile as he let 4 people enter the room. Will didn't even look up to see who it was; he just continued to lay in a fetal position just staring at the other side of the wall opposite to the door.

Nico didn't know how to take the news that his boyfriend was pregnant and his baby was gone. Of course Nico being Nico felt like he had some blame to carry for the death of his child.

Despite the entire situation being an accident.

The group except for Hazel never really knew Will was intersex so upon hearing the news they became bewildered and shocked at the news of Will's pregnancy.

Upon hearing of the child's death. Annabeth closed her eyes as she put arm on Percy's chest, refusing to let her tears fall. Percy was still shocked at the news but his face was blue and gloomy as he embraced Annabeth.

Piper started full-on crying when she heard the news. As the daughter of the god of love she could only imagine how much a parent would burden and break a parent losing their child especially the maternal parent who carried the child.

She cried into Jason's chest who comforted her by hugging her,Jason's face filled with sorrow closing his eyes. Leo looked just as shocked as Percy, his sour mouth not being able to crack a joke for once he frowned and just stared at the ground.

Tears had pricked Hazel's eyes but she refused to cry for Nico’s sake and chose to stay strong for him; he himself had been strong for too long.Frank was bewildered by the news yet grief filled his face he couldn't imagine losing his daughter.

He held Mei closer to him as he heard the news. He couldn't imagine how Nico and Will felt.

Reynah's expression wasn't readable yet her only concern was of Nico’s health. She turned to look at Nico who finally seemed to snap out of it.

Nico’s only expressions were grief,sorrowfulness and self-hatred. If only he had been a few seconds earlier none of this would have happened. He would have caught Will and everything would have been fine.

“It's all my fault-” Nico closed his eyes bringing his hands up to run through his hair.

“Dont.” Reynah shot him a glare, her tone dangerous.

“Nico dont blame yourself, it was an accident, it could have happened to anyone !” Percy chimed in understanding what Nico was trying to say. His eyes furrowed at Nico. Not allowing him to feel like he is to blame.

“i-fuck-Will-he must be feeling like absolute garbage now-I” Nico turned towards the elevator reminding himself that if he felt grief Will was feeling 10x worse.

Will was always the one who got hurt more when it came to emotional situations,but this. No this was different.

“Go to him” Annabeth finally said her body relaxed but her face still distressed and worried

A hand was put on his left wrist. Reynah was dragging him towards the elevator “he needs you right now.” hazel added slightly pushing him towards the elevator

“We’ll go with you-but we'll be outside, don't worry.” Jason pointed to Reynah and Hazel, the three of them decided to go with Nico.

Nico agreed. What had he done to deserve such good friends? Nico finally let some tears fall as his friends and sister made their way to Will’s floor.

“Hang on in their sunshine…”

Upon arriving the floor and going to the room the nurse had given them they had made their way to room 308#.

A nurse who seemed to be serving food to Will gave us one glance and rushed towards us “are you here for Will solace ?!” The nurse nervously asked, biting his lip.

Nico along with the rest of the small group gave a nod. “He-hasnt been doing well-ever since we told him about the —-- hes been in a state of post-pautum depression” The nurse who looked no older than 29 was avoiding eye contact with the small group as he nervously rubbed his hands together.

Nico’s face grimaced at the remembrance of his now-dead child, his fist clenched at the thought of Will being alone depressed and sad curled up at the edge of his bed. That didn't stop him from listening to the nurse about Will's health.

Jason clearly pitted Will, his face painted with all different shades of blue ,Hazel still had tears that refused to fall, her shoulders slumped and Reynah refused to show an ounce of emotion but Nico knew deep inside she was boiling with different types of emotions.

Nico gave a little nod to the nurse's warning and with shaky hands put his fingers around the doorknob and twisted the door open. Smiling softly so Will wouldn't see any stress or distress on his face. No-that was the last thing Will needed.

Upon entering the room you could tell it was slightly messy but the nurses had clearly made an effort to keep the room tidy. On the right of the room was Will but hearing the door open didn't make him peer up.

Nico rushed to Will's side checking on him, inspecting him and scanning him for injuries on his body.”hey-hey-tesoro im here,how are you holding up?” Nico whispered in a hushed voice cupping one of his hands on Will’s face.

There was no reaction from Will; it was like Tartarus had sucked all the living soul out of him.Doubt and misery flickered in Nico’s eyes.

“I'm sorry.” A small quiet gagged voice was all that came out of the blonde's mouth; he didn't even look up at Nico; he just stayed curled up in a fetal position as if detached from reality itself.

Will looked like he hadn't slept in days despite falling unconscious for a few good hours. All the sunshine that would kiss his skin and brighten his eyes was gone. His eyes were cold,icy and he just kept staring at the wall as if something would jump out of it.

“Hey-its not-” Nico's eyes started to fill with water again,his lips trembling as he spoke trying his best not to crack.

“It's all my fault I'm sorry.” Will cut him off, body stiff still not moving a muscle, his face becoming colder tucking himself in even more, becoming more isolated.

“No-no-dont say that mi amore if anything it was my fault- I destroy whatever I have with my touch-” NIco’s face twisted into guilt his eyes going wide when Will finally sits up but his expression doesn't change one bit his eyes turn to look at Nico.

In the blink of an eye Will slaps Nico on the face “STOP SAYING THAT !” if Nico thought Will was angry at him before ? He aint seen nothin yet.

Will’s face was anguished in anger and rage. Jason on impact attempted to intervene only to be held back by Reynah who did have to say anything but gave him a look.

The sound echoed in the room and it felt as if everything had stopped. Nico blinked,stunned, lips parting like he wanted to argue back with Will-somehow convince him it was all his fault but no words came out.

Will’s voice hissed “get out of here right now !” tears form in his eyes. His voice was trembling; he then grabbed a pillow from his bedside and threw it at Nico’s head. He was about to grab something else when the nurse from earlier attempted to stop him.
Throwing at all would rip Wil’s IVS out. Yet Will didnt care for any of it “GET HIM OUT OF MY SIGHT RIGHT NOW!” Will’s voice became louder and clearer. Tear drops soaked his green hospital gown.

Jason's jaw tightened. He was horrified and he bit his lip as he moved closer to Nico,Hazel swallowed hard ; she looked scared she attempted not to make any noise crying and held both her hands up to her mouth in shock at the scene.

Reynah was shocked more than anything, betraying the emotions she usually attempted to keep hidden, her lips pressed thinly because she herself knew Nico deserved that slap yet she didn't expect Will to lash out fully on Nico.

“Mr.solace-please.” The nurse’s voice was soft and heartfelt; he didn't flinch at all; instead he just held Will’s shoulders in an attempt to shake him back to reality.

“DONT TOUCH ME!” Will’s raw voice cracking like glass as he lashed out. Attempting to shake the nurses hold on him.Will’s sobs tore through the room.

The nurse put his hands up “ok-ok- not-touching-see.” surrendering to the son of Apollo.

“Will-I” was all that came out of Nico’s mouth ; it came out more of a whisper than anything and for once Nico di angleo was in a battle he truly never had a chance of winning…

The son of hades freely spilled tears as a second nurse escorted The group outside. Will’s muffled cries were still heard even with the door shut.

Reynah said nothing, her usual sharp gaze however was now broken. You could tell she was worried and for once,the praetor couldn't think of any strategy that would help her friends…

Jason looked so terrified and horrified it looked like he had seen a ghost. Hazel gave Nico a hug as she let out small muffled cries.

Nico’s body was shaking, his shoulders were heaving, he was sobbing uncontrollably into Jason then Hazel's shirts. He squeezed his eyes shut just wishing everything would go back to the way it was a few hours ago.

Nico felt another pair of arms around him squeezing him into a hug but he made no effort to look at who it was.

Oh Nico my dear if only it were that simple……(book narration)

Tears were dropping like an unstoppable waterfall,his body gasping for air between cries.

Would things ever go back to the way it was ?
