ARCHIVIST [STATEMENT]

My dearest Jonah i apoligize on the short notice but i must warn you becuse i belive you are in great danger in this very moment i warned you before that learning of the things beyond the world would contain consequenses and i belive it has come to you in form of you're associate Maxwell Rayner for i belive him to be the devil i knew i could not trust him from the moment i meet him i knew he was something not from this world i could feel his precense and how the lights shined less bright when he was around i tried to warn Smirke but he only brushed me off but the thing that lead me to belive he was in fact the devil was one month ago when i followed him into the woods when i saw him walking into them like he had a misson i tried to stay as hidden as possible but i belive he knew i was there and simply did not care for me like i was only a bug that could easily be crushed under his shoe but as he went i could see the stars shine less and less until it was completly dark i tried to keep as calm as i could but i was stoll terrified for what was happening for how could i not be terrified of what was happening but i still followed him i recognize this now as incredibly foolish but you can not change the past as i followed maxwell he eventually stopped near a small pond it was darker then the darkness around us and i saw Maxwell put his hand in the water and scoop up some to drink of the water it was in that moment i accidentally stepped on a branch it snapped loud Maxwell merely snapped his fingers, and then the shadows began to move to maybe kill me or trap me. I have no idea or interest in finding out what they would do if they found me, so I ran as fast as I could through the forest. I see it only as a miracle as to why I managed to get out of the forest alive, but some of the shadows managed to come across my legs. They were as cold and as sharp as a blade, so my dearest Jonah, I hope you will distance yourself from Rayner, and if you don't, I imagine your death will be imminent. Goodbye. Your Dear Friend, Victor

I find it hard to actually follow up on this statement, but this confirms some of my suspicions about our founder, and I don't know if I am more relieved or not.
