Chapter Text
Samantha kicks off her heels by the front door and hangs the keys. “Erin, Adrian?!” She calls out, trying to locate her husbands. It’s odd for them to be entirely quiet when she gets home. Usually Erin is baking something in the kitchen, or Adrian is playing one of his games on the couch.
She heads to the kitchen, desperately needing to eat something after the long day in the office. Adrian had the day off, which she insisted he take considering he’s a goddamn workaholic. (Not that she’s much better). So her day had been rather exhausting and boring without her co-owner there to help her out.
But- regardless it had been productive. She had managed to handle one of their moles that had been sharing information with a rival company, successfully firing him and suggesting he get a good lawyer. And she attended one particularly boring meeting where once again she was underestimated simply because she wasn’t her husband. And regardless of changing times- the board was mostly old men, which didn’t help her case.
In any case, she digs around in the fridge, smiling to herself when she sees leftovers marked ‘Sammy <3’. She opens the containers and sighs with relief at the sight of Adrian’s special stir fry. She plops it into a bowl and sets the microwave to two minutes, leaning back against the counter while she waits.
Maybe the two of them are out, possibly at the park Erin likes so much, or maybe with one of Adrian’s friends getting a drink. She’s jolted out of her thoughts as the microwave dings, signaling her food is now warmed up.
She makes quick work of it and enters the bedroom, her heart warming at the sight of Adrian and Erin curled up in bed, Erin tucked against their husband’s chest, his long blonde hair usually in a ponytail, down for once and cascading over his shoulders.
She slips out of her work clothes, being as quiet as she can manage, slipping on one of Adrian’s oversized shirts and gently maneuvering her way into bed. She nuzzles into Adrian’s back, resting her arm over his waist. She feels him stir and let out a soft groan as he blinks awake.
“Hey, Sammy.” He mumbles, squeezing her hand around his waist. His voice low and quiet so as not to wake Erin.
“Hey,” She replies softly with a smile, breathing in his scent. Its usual cologne, masculine and gentle, all him.
“How did the meeting go?” He murmurs, tilting his head with a soft smile, a small shiver running over his skin at the gentle touch.
“Fine, I handled it. They still don’t take me seriously, but- they’ll learn.”
“Damn right.”
“No work talk at home.” Adrian and Samantha turn their gazes to Erin, his green eyes glancing up at both of them with a wry smile and tired eyes.
“Sorry, babe.” Samantha chuckles softly and reaches over to tuck some of his hair back behind his ear. Erin leans into the touch before sitting up, propping himself up on his elbow. “S’fine. I’m just glad you’re home.”
Samantha smiles softly and rests her chin on Adrian’s shoulder, her gaze glancing over Erin’s body with a raised brow, eyes catching on the bite mark on his shoulder and the bruises marking his neck. She pouts and nips at Adrian’s shoulder. “You both suck. Without me, really?”
Erin flushes and laughs softly, reaching over to peck his wife on the forehead. “Hey, blame this one. He got all grabby while I was trying to make some pie.”
“Whatever. You’re both making it up to me tomorrow.” She chuckles and sits up, Adrian doing the same.
Adrian leans into with a smirk, brushing his thumb over her lower lip. “Oh come on, don’t be like that.” He murmurs, “You had him all to yourself just last week.”
Erin leans into from the other side, resting his chin on their wife’s shoulder and pressing gentle kisses to her skin. She shivers at the touch and turns to kiss him softly, Adrian with a wider grin on his face now. “There she is.” He murmurs, kissing down her neck. “Why don’t you let us help you relax after a long day of work?” And well- she isn’t going to object.
