Chapter 1: (Firey/Coiny) Under the Umbrella

Chapter Text

The pitter-pattering sound of raindrops hitting the ground, the occasional slight wind that derails the waters path, the tapping of rooftops as the water comes down: All of this could be calming to someone out there, but not Firey.

The aforementioned “pitter pattering” sounds so rough in his ears, the wind just moves the unwelcomed rain in his direction, the tapping feels threatening, as if it's gonna break his shelter.

He’ll just never understand why anyone would like the rain.

As he looks up at the sky from his area of safety then sighs. The weather app never said anything about rain, at least he thinks it didn't…did he even check before heading out today? Doesn't change the fact he didn't bring an umbrella along.

Just his luck.

Coiny unwraps his umbrella, bringing it above himself before stepping out into the downpour. He had just parted with Pin, having spent the day simply trying to find ways to entertain themselves. Coiny knew it would rain and had prepared ahead of time, it had been kind of annoying to have to drag around an umbrella but that's the price to pay for planning ahead.

He ambled along, taking in the way the rain slides off the trees, when he feels a, quite literally, warm presence. He looks towards the area with the notable temperature difference, seeing a light glow before seeing anyone, it's not hard to put the pieces together of who's nearby.

He spots Firey sulking under the overhang part of a building. His arms are crossed and he keeps glancing up at the rain, a deep frown on his face. Coiny smirks as he realizes Firey clearly wasn't prepared for the calm storm they're both in now.

“Really? You forgot an umbrella?” Coiny taunts. Firey jumps at his voice, not having noticed anyone close by, it didn't help that he was already on edge, worried about another gust of wind sending water flying his way. But he doesn't even have to turn around to know who's near him, like he could ever forget that annoying voice. Nonetheless he turns to toss Coiny an annoyed glare.

“If you're here just to make fun of me, go away.” he looks back up towards the sky, he doesn't want to stay here -especially now that Coiny’s here- but he also doesn't want to die running from shelter to shelter to get home. He turns back to Coiny before he's even given a chance to speak, a scowl bringing his features down.

“Be a half decent guy this once and just let me under the umbrella.” He demands. Coiny raises an eyebrow, scoffing at Firey.

“That's not at all convincing, you know? You didn't even ask nicely.”

It's clear Coiny is just messing with him, he doesn't have any intention of helping Firey out based on how far away he's standing from Firey’s temporary shelter, no matter how he was to ask. He can't help the mocking smirk that shows on his face as Firey groans at him.

"Ugh, I'm gonna die out here and it's gonna be your fault!" Firey feels himself getting even more annoyed, that stupid smirk on Coiny's face doing a good job riling him up like it always does.

He honestly wants to smack him but he holds back, not wanting to ruin his only chance at getting home semi safe. -he doesn't really consider it safe if he's gonna be under an umbrella with this cocky piece of metal, what if he pulls the umbrella away while they're walking? He'll just have to hope Coiny has some decency to not kill him.

Coiny huffs out a laugh at Firey’s melodramatic cry, rolling his eyes slightly as he settles against a nearby wall, still just out of reach of Firey.

“Oh please, you're not gonna die. You're perfectly safe right here.”

Firey frowns at Coiny's words, it's clear he really is just gonna leave him here. He doesn't miss as Coiny’s smirk grows more arrogant as he takes in his expression - he's clearly getting a big ego from this.

“It's obvious you're practically begging to get under my umbrella, this is so pathetic it's almost cute.” Coiny teases again.

Firey feels himself getting a tad bit warmer at that. This is already taking a bit of his pride with it, and now Coiny has the gall to call him pathetic and cute? in the same frickin sentence too.

He turns his head away from Coiny, crossing his arms for warmth as much as it is in annoyance.

"I'm not begging for anything." He mumbles, not willing to let go of his dignity quite yet. Coiny couldn't help but chuckle at Firey's reply.

"Oh, really? That's not what it sounds like to me. You're standing here, all upset, just because I won't let you under my umbrella. You're practically begging me to save you from the rain."

Coiny smirks again, enjoying having the upper hand on Firey way too much, but he can't let this chance go. It's not often that he's so clearly winning one of their arguments.

Firey groans, dragging a hand down his face. He's really not in the mood to deal with this annoying thing of a person right now. Not when water -his poison, not to forget- is currently threatening to make its way under his safe place as the wind howls again.

He holds back the urge to hit Coiny, instead shoving him to the side slightly as he forces himself under the umbrella, only getting hit with one or two small rain droplets, though it still kinda hurts. Coiny stumbles a bit as Firey forces his way under the umbrella, making a noise at the sudden jostling.

Firey grabs Coiny's arm, keeping him from moving the umbrella away from him, even though he'd rather not be gripping all over this loser -not referring to the celeb Loser- like they're close friends or something...cuz they're not, no.....they've not at all have been getting closer over the years.

"You better not move an inch." He narrows his eyes at Coiny, even as his face heats at their less aggressively charged closeness.

Coiny blinks in surprise, but as he focuses on how Firey grabs his arm so tightly, holding onto him as if he was a lifeline, he cuts Firey some slack.

He looks over at the now warmer Firey, feeling the heat radiate off him as he glows brighter, and chuckles, trying to hide the fact that he's a bit flustered himself.

"Wow, you really are desperate for help to get home. I didn't know you were such a wuss."

Coiny tries to keep a straight face as he turns his face away from Firey, but there's a hint of a smile on his face. Firey clicks his tongue from Coiny's words, not at all appreciating them.

"It would be great if I didn't have to get help from you, dumb Coiny." He complains, giving the other a slap on the arm as a substitute for a slap to his face, not at all willing to knock them off balance, risking the umbrella being pulled away from himself.

He pulls said umbrella closer to his side, not at all caring about how he leaves Coiny's other arm out in the rain. He looks up at the sky as he shivers slightly.

God he hates the rain, having your life threatened isn't all too fun.

Coiny simply watches Firey’s restlessness, not fighting for better hold of the umbrella. He knows Firey quite literally needs to be covered so he doesn't mind all that much.

Firey almost jumps back as a drop of water springs towards him, instead he leans closer to Coiny, trying to stay as centered under the umbrella as possible. He lets out a heavy sigh, shivering slightly, which Coiny is quick to catch, playfully nudging Firey as his expression turns smug.

“What's the matter? Getting cold already?”

"As if, I'm literally fire, remember." He rolls his eyes at the question. He's not willing to actually explain his shivering though, that would take what's left of his pride if he was to outwardly admit to being scared of the rain. Coiny huffs at Firey's response, his smirk widening a bit.

"Yeah, yeah, I know you're fire. But you're still shivering. Maybe you're not as hot as you think, huh?"

He pokes fun at Firey, poking his arm with his finger, using their closeness as leverage to annoy him further.

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone that the big tough fire guy is scared of a little rain.”

It's odd, the way he seems to soften ever so slightly as he says that. He could dangle this over Fiery's head, tease him about it until they end up in another fight, but he finds himself not at all minding breaking from that cycle just this once, seeing how much this affects Firey.

Yet Firey doesn't catch this slight change.

Firey turns his head away from Coiny, wanting to be anywhere from here right now. Even though he thought he would want to be far away from Coiny, he's feeling oddly safe under this umbrella with him, knowing he wouldn't actually do anything as bad as expose him to the rain.

"I'm not scared of rain!” he argues, wanting to prove Coiny wrong even though it's clearly the truth. “....I lied earlier, fire can get cold too I guess." He mumbles the lie, taking his words just prior back.

Coiny raises an eyebrow, but chooses not to make fun of Firey, rather, he just shakes his head with a smile. He moves his gaze in front of the two of them, looking at the rain as they continue their slow walk to wherever Firey is leading them.

“Right, not scared at all, just a bit cold.” Coiny confirms, his tone clearly showing doubt, but he doesn't push it.

For a moment it's silent, the sound of the rain working as background noise. It's less tension filled than normal, but neither of them mind all that much.

Coiny glances down at the place where Firey's hand meets his arm, his grip had relaxed slightly from earlier but he still holds him close enough for their shoulders to be constantly touching. His expression softens as he turns his eyes back in front of them, relaxing his elbow against his own side, pulling Firey ever so slightly closer.

He doesn't mind this as much as he thought he would, neither of them do. Yet neither of them would ever admit that.

“You don't have to lie y'know? I won't make fun of you for being scared.” Coiny says, almost too quiet over the sound of the rain. He would've assumed Firey didn't hear him if it wasn't for how he turns his head away, keeping his face just out of view.

“...it's only natural for someone like you. I don't know why you thought I would make fun of you; it's not like I have.” Coiny's aware of their, quite frankly petty, history, with him forgetting Fireys “poison” and all, but he hasn't made fun of Firey after he actually took the time to remember.

“-At least on this particular topic.” he tacks onto his last sentence, realizing it's kinda natural in their relationship to make fun of practically anything the other does.

Firey sighs, deflating slightly as he turns to look at Coiny.

“Yeah, I get that. But, y'know, it just sounds so…” he gestures with his free hand, circling as he tries to find the word. “Lame.”

“Yeah, it is a little lame.”

Firey just stares at Coiny, exasperated.

“...You literally just said you wouldn't make fun of me.” He narrows his eyes at the other, his expression almost nearing a pout. Coiny puts up a hand in surrender, he can't help himself from smiling at Firey's reaction.

“Your words, not mine.”

Firey huffs, turning his head to face forward again, but Coiny spots the smile that appears on his face, making his own grow wider. Firey throws a glance at Coniy, spotting his expression.

“Geez, you're such an idiot.” He says with a laugh, before sliding his hand down, trying to wiggle free from Coiny's arm. Coiny releases Firey's hand, a little confused at the action before he looks before them. They're just a couple steps in front of Firey's place. He was too focused on Firey for the whole last stretch of the trip, just now realizing where they are.

They both just stood in front of the house for a moment, the rain had softened to almost a simple sprinkle, almost as if it could end at any moment -just another thing they failed to notice through their walk.

Firey sighs, it's meant to be in relief, no more rain and now he can separate from Coiny, what more could he ask for? But he ends up sounding a little disappointed, the ease he found by having Coiny as a distraction just so happened to make him enjoy Coiny's company, as strange as that is for them.

Coiny shares the feeling, looking over at Firey. He doesn't really want to separate from him quite yet, he decides not to spend too much time thinking about that thought before opening his mouth.

“It's still raining…”

Firey looks up once again. The rain is clearly dying down, but he nods in agreement anyway, seeing where Coiny is taking this.

“Yeah.”

Coiny doesn't speak for a moment , despite having gotten a response. He fidgets with the handle of the umbrella, tilting his head towards the door.

“You gonna let me in?”

This whole conversation is odd, they're both much quieter than normal, no arguments or even a look in the direction of the other. Neither of them know what to do with themselves, having caught themselves savoring the rare calmness between them.

“You wish. You're not entering my house, not in a million years.” Firey half-heartedly argues, pulling Coiny's arm forward so the umbrella stays over him as he opens the door, managing to do so without so much as a drop landing on him. Coiny doesn't resist, holding it over him patiently, but he shakes his head with a smirk. Leave it to Firey to stay stubborn even as there's an obvious shift in the atmosphere between them, he can't tell if it annoys him or just amuses him.

Once Firey takes a step inside he turns around, looking at Coiny for a moment, finally noticing his soaked shoulder opposite to the one holding the umbrella. Coiny raises an eyebrow, but he doesn't take the chance to leave, he waits for Firey to close the door, to be the one to officially end whatever is going on right now.

Firey seems to glow a little brighter as he frowns at Coiny, both of them warming from his flames flicking out a little wider, that or the tension between them.

“Right.” Coiny finally ends the silence, almost tethering on awkwardly. Firey blinks, coming out of the trance they both seemed to be in.

Chapter 2: (Firey/Coiny) It's Not Gay If You Have Socks On

Summary:

Leafy and Pin are out so the boys have the house all to themselves. Was gonna have smut but never got that far. Created on March 9h.

Chapter Text

Coiny lays on the couch in the living room of the shared house he has with Pin, Firey, and Leafy. He mindlessly scrolls on his phone, half focusing as he swings his foot side to side. He keeps his eyes on his phone, not bothering to look up as he hears the door open. Firey nervously fidgets with his fingers as he walks into the room, looking at Coiny for a moment before playing it cool, looking towards the TV while leaning against the back of the couch.

“...Hey, Leafy and Pin are out on some sort of vacation thing…it’ll just be us for a while. Maybe a week?”

Coiny continues to absently mess with his phone, half listening to Firey, only responding with a quiet hum.

“And why are you here? go do something.” He mumbles, not looking up for even a moment. Firey narrows his eyes at Coiny, getting a little annoyed at his dismissal.

“Tch…you’re as rude as ever.” He rolls his eyes, moving around the couch to attempt to sit on the opposite side from Coiny. His hip is squeezed into the side of the couch so he flicks Coiny's feet in annoyance at him taking up the whole couch.

Coiny glances up at the shift in weight on the couch, he brings his legs back from the hit on his foot, groaning in annoyance. But the moment Firey settles down he sets his legs on Firey’s legs with a smirk. Firey pauses for a second, looking at Coiny who's trying to get a rise out of him, before shoving his feet off of him.

“Get off.” He crosses his arms with a huff, turning his head away to hide the slight flush of his face at the unnecessary touching. Coiny snickers, finally sitting up to give Firey more room.

“You gotta try and be less easy to mess with, it doesn't take anything to upset you.” He teases, smirking as he snaps a quick picture of Firey's flushed face; That's definitely going to be his background. He sets his phone down and puts his attention on the fire man next to him.

“So, what's up?” He crosses his legs, relaxing back into the armrest, watching as Firey groans and leans back against the couch as well, clearly annoyed at him taking a picture of him.

“Nothing much,” he grumbles. Turning to look at Coiny, trying to not stare too much. “What have you been doing?”

Coiny raises an eyebrow at the attempt of casual conversation, his smirk growing at the strange atmosphere.

“Not much, I was just playing on my phone.” Coiny leans back, pressing his back against the armrest, closing his eyes and relaxing.

“But that's not what I was asking really. What's the reason for you talking to me? Don't you have better things to do?”

“I was just…bored and had no one else to talk to. Leafy’s gone y'know.” He says with a huff, crossing his arms. “And no. I don't have anything better to do.”

He looks over at Coiny, drifting his eyes up his body, before he quickly looks away, pretending he wasn't just checking him out. Coiny peeks an eye open, looking at Firey in curiosity.

“Alright….what do you have in mind? I'm bored and I guess it's better to enjoy time with someone rather than being on my own.” He rolls his eyes with his cocky smile still on his face as he resigns himself to spending the afternoon with Firey.

Firey hops up with a grin, happy to spend time with him. He pauses to think for a moment, considering what to do together. He's oblivious as Coiny shakes his head at Firey's, quite frankly, cute and obvious reaction.

“Since we're both bored, why don't we just…play a game or something?” His suggestion isn't much of a grand idea but it'll do.

“What about…” he pauses, doing the same as Firey earlier to think of something to do. He tries to think of something demanding, still wanting to make this harder on Firey than needed. “Strip poker?”

He doesn't know how to play poker but he's heard of strip poker many times, and it was always something that made people flustered which would be fun. Firey's face flushes a deep red as he looks at Coiny in shock.

“Strip…poker? You want to play strip poker?” He says in disbelief, confused and caught off guard.

“That’s- you're not serious…are you?”

Coiny laughs at Firey's reaction, laying his arms behind his head.

“What? You scared you'll lose?” he grins, nudging his head back in a challenge.

Firey sobers, suddenly getting his pride triggered. He narrows his eyes at Coiny, accepting his challenge.

“Of course I'm not scared, and you're definitely gonna be the one to lose.” he responds with the same cockiness, eye locked on Coiny.

Coiny chuckles, getting up and grabbing his phone to make his way to his own room. He spares a glance back as he reaches the hallway, casually gesturing for Firey to follow.

“Oh please, you just want to see me naked.” he jokes, wiggling his eyebrows. Firey rolls his eyes at the joke, trying to keep himself composed while he stands up.

“You wish. I would never, not in a million years.” Firey mutters, following Coiny closely, pretending he's not even a little bit curious.

Coiny opens his door, standing outside to hold the door open, bowing slightly to let Firey in first.

“Ladies first.” He grins, gesturing for Firey to go in first. Fiery lightly shoves Coiny as he walks into the room.

“Oh, shut up.” he grunts, stepping into the room, looking around. There’s a window on the wall on the right, the left side of the curtain is opened, basking the room with sunlight. The floor is a little messy with random pieces of clothing strewn across it. His bed is just a couple feet away from the door, the foot of it at the window. The most noticeable thing is the wide bookshelf just across the room, random items on the different shelves. His attention is drawn away as Coiny slides in behind him. Coiny closes the door behind him, walking in before casually hopping on the bed, settling in with his back to the wall.

“Come in and get comfortable!” He smiles at Firey, watching as he takes in the room for the first time. Fiery glances Coiny’s way as he speaks, awkwardly taking a second look around the room before sitting on the bed next to Coiny, still trying to ignore his strange feeling of nervousness.

“So....Who's starting the game?” He finally asks. He doesn't know how to play at all but, again, he's not about to admit that.

“I'm not gonna lie, I don't know how to play poker.” He admits, pressing his hands against his legs as he laughs. He misses as Firey relaxes at his words, glad he’s not the only one, but he still sighs in exasperation.

“But! That doesn't mean you’ll do better than me, let me just…” Coiny pulls his phone out of his pocket, searching up ‘how to play strip poker’ and taking a quick read through the first link. Fiery facepalms as he watches Coiny skim the article.

“You’re the one who suggested it, and you don't even know how to play?” He asks, wondering just how stupid Coiny can manage to be, but he’s honestly a little amused. Coiny groans at Firey and the explanation he gets on his phone, not understanding the description of the game one bit. He runs a hand through his hair as he turns off his phone.

“Alright, you’re going to teach me how to play as we go.” He says, ignoring Firey’s comment. He hops up to grab a deck of cards, finding one hidden under many other miscellaneous things in a drawer a moment later. He pauses as he stands back up.

“Just to make sure, we do need cards for it, right?” He triple checks, making sure even though he just read, like, two sentences about it and saw cards in the pictures. He knows this much, he’s not that dumb. Firey sighs, even though he knew even less about this than Coiny.

“Yeah, of course we need cards, how else are we supposed to play?” He responds, completely tired of Coiny already. He crosses his arms as Coiny walks over to the bed with an annoyed expression.

“Like I said, just checking.” Coiny sits back down next to Firey, shoving him slightly. Firey frowns, pushing Coiny back then taking the deck of cards from his hands. He opens the deck confidently, at least he knows how to shuffle them. He begins to shuffle them, smirking as he catches Coiny look at him, a little impressed. He gets a little nervous as he finishes the scrambling of the cards, tapping the deck against his leg as he realizes he has to explain a game he doesn't even really know anything about.

“Uh…Alright, since you have no idea how to play…I’ll try to explain some of it.” He hands Coiny the deck, hoping he knows the first steps, cuz he sure doesn't. Coiny, luckily for Firey, knows the very basics, he gives Firey and himself five cards.

“Okay, let's see how much you know.” He chuckles at Firey's pauses between sentences, a little confused at it. He looks down at his cards, A four of hearts, Four of clubs, ace of hearts, ace of clubs, and a king of hearts. He narrows his eyes at his hand, is this good or bad? He has little to no idea.

Firey huffs out a breath as he sees Coiny’s confused expression. He doesn't know if his cards are good either, but he still tries to act like he knows more than Coiny.

“Do you even know the values of the cards?” He complains, trying to sound annoyed.

“Uhhhh,” Coiny looks back up at Firey awkwardly, chuckling nervously.

“Maybe noooot?” He half admits, looking off to the side as he smiles and fans himself with the cards. He only knew the names and which ones are the best of them, nothing more though. Firey doesn't even have the will to act annoyed, he's in the same boat. He doesn't want to back down, knowing Coiny will notice his own inexperience with the card game and make fun of him.

“Just tell me what I need to do next. I don’t need to know the values to beat you!” Coiny smirks, feigning confidence to bluff. Firey freezes up, not knowing what to try and explain next.

“W-well, I don’t know what you know. I can’t teach you if I don’t know what I need to teach you.” He keeps his eyes away from Coiny, flicking at his own knee to self sooth. Coiny stares at Firey.

“You’re just too scared I'll be so much better than you and win flawlessly.” He pokes fun at Firey, crossing his arms with a smirk. Firey clicks his tongue.

“I'm just not willing to try and teach an idiot.” Firey glares at Coiny, placing his cards down on the bed.

“And with that said, let's play something else.” He quickly says, hoping for Coiny to give in and come up with something else. Coiny also puts his cards down, annoyed but not willing to learn a whole new game.

“Fine, fine. Maybe we should play…..Truth or dare?”

“...Tru-”

“Or,” Coiny perks up, interrupting Fireys inevitable complaining against his idea. “We could switch the game, and just do strip UNO! Yeah, let's do that!”

“Are you serious? Strip UNO?”

“Would you just agree with something? You’re the one who asked for me to come up with an idea when you came up to me for no reason!” He groans, annoyed at Firey nitpicking everything. He knocks Firey’s knee, narrowing his eyes at him. Firey furrows his eyebrows and leans back against the wall, tapping his foot against the bed sheets.

“Ugh, but that's so stupid.”

“C’mon, I know you want to.” Coiny pokes Firey in the side over and over. Honestly he could just drop this and tell him to get out of his room but he doesn't want to go back to his phone to just look at nothing. Firey feels his cheeks get a little hot from the constant touch on his waist. He leans away from Coiny and makes a face at him. A laugh is forced out of him as he swats the others hand away, which does not stop him.

“Jeez, what are you doing?” He mutters, trying to keep himself from smiling, failing miserably. “Fine, I'll play your dumb game, just get off of me.”

Firey shakes his head at himself, not liking how quickly he gave into Coiny. He smiles slightly at the way Coiny grins at his small win. He straightens his jacket as Coiny pats his back, standing up to get a deck of UNO cards rather than poker cards.

Coiny stands up and walks back to the drawer that he left his decks of cards in, he notices how strange the whole situation is. Why does he even need to play any game that involves stripping? They could just do normal card games. Even Firey agreed to play…Coiny shakes his head, removing the thought from his mind as he sits back down next to Firey with the cards. This time they’re a little closer, touching shoulders.

Chapter 3: (Book/Clock)

Summary:

Prompt generator- He was excited to find 150 new emails in his inbox.

Chapter Text

Clock sighs as he enters his room. Well, not exactly his room, rather, it's just a spare room for his convenience as he works in the kitchen, but he's grown to appreciate how surprisingly spacey it is. He’d normally want to fall asleep as soon as he arrives, after all its tiring being around X and 4 when they're always bossing him around, but recently he's found a reason for staying up: his emails.

Clock can't help how the edges of his lips lift up as he walks to his bed, thinking of what he might've received from one specific friend. He settles down at the headrest of the bed before using his leg to pull his laptop closer to himself.

Quickly putting in his password -which used to be Winner related, but he has since changed it for obvious reasons- and just a few quick clicks then he’s waiting for his screen to load. He hasn’t stopped smiling the whole time, he knows he shouldn't be this excited, but this small reprieve from the busy work in the kitchen seems to be the one thing he looks forward to everyday.

Clock pauses as he sees the number of emails he’s received. Sure, he was excited, but he wasn't expecting 50 whole emails to respond to. He slowly scrolls down, skimming as much of each line of text that's displayed, spotting a few that can be read fully without clicking on it. When he gets to the bottom of the new emails, he’s a little more surprised at the time dating the first he received today, after all, why would Book be up at 2:00 in the morning?

He clicks on the email, tilting his head slightly as he reads the short paragraph she sent.

Book

2:29am(12 hours ago)

Hey! Um, I'm not expecting you to see this, at least not right now, but I think I'll send it anyway! I can’t really sleep right now, every time I try my mind starts running wild. I know I can just write this stuff in my notes, or in myself even, but I figured that this could help us get closer!..or something like that………well, now I have no idea what to send. My mind's drawing a blank, lol!

That's it? He honestly thought she would've had something more to say, given the other emails, but it still doesn't explain the sheer number of them. Clock can’t complain though; on one of his last emails he had embarrassingly admitted he had wanted to hear more from her, and he doesn't take that back one bit, even as it seems Book is using his inbox as a journal of some sort. He’s just glad Book shared the same interest in keeping up with him as he does her.

Brushing off his slight confusion at the late-night email, he exits to go to the next one, in chronological order of course.

I got an idea! So y’know how you work in the hotel and all that? (For the time being at least, but whatever.) I should see if I can find a way to hang out with you when challenges are on pause. Ah, or would you not be allowed out of the kitchen? Would I be allowed in the kitchen? Wait, do you sleep in the kitchen??? No wait, that would just be weird, but I never see you around the hotel so I just thought it kinda made sense. Anyway, when do you get free time?

Clock can’t help being amused at how “ranty” Book writes when not expecting a response compared to how formulated she usually is. But as he focuses on the content of the email itself, he’s not really sure what his answer would’ve been anyway. Would he be allowed to talk to any of the contestants outside of the times Two allows him to talk to Winner? He would assume not but he’ll just have to ask next time he’s out.

Again, he goes to the next email.

I just realised I was waiting for you to email me back, hah! Oh and, if you're the one in charge of the food, I gotta say, It’s pretty good! If not, give my compliments to the chef please :).

And the next.
