Chapter 1: CREATOR NOTE
Chapter Text
If you guys don't know me
My name is Nova, I've been in the origins fandom for five years now, and my favorite character is FTO Bryan.
This is an Fto fanfiction that focuses on Fto Bryan and ocs.
You can say that it’s basically a sequel since the au takes place two months after the S5 Finales.
This story introduces new powers and species that were shown in the Sequel of the actual anime, Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest(It was released in 2024)
I started this au back in August and wasn't planning to write a fanfiction, but here we are today.
HOLD UP, SOME THINGS TO KNOW!
-There is only two ships in this story, and one is an oc x Canon. I will not reveal what it is, but if you don't like oc x Canon ships, this is not for you.
There are some sensitive topics that will be in another chapter, but for the first few chapters, it has none of it. I WILL ADD WARNINGS WHEN IT COMES.
Since this focus on FTO OCS and Bryan, the other canon FTO characters will be really just mentioned, with the exception of two.
Bryan might be ooc a bit, but I haven't watched the series in a while.
I think that is all, so I guess enjoy ?

TW: Swearing(One Word), Mentions of Blood
"Do you know anything about Velmora, Bryan?"
The fire dragon slayer, Bryan, turned his head to see a girl leaning against the front door frame, arms crossed. She looks completely out of place.
Lotus Divil, younger sister of Bryan Divil, related by blood and not appearance.
Unlike Bryan who had brown color hair and eyes, Lotus short hair was completely white with a small hint of grey, which goes well with her light blue eyes. Their clothing style differs too, with Lotus wearing more of a casual style. Their is one major detail of her that separated the two.
Lotus had feathered, gray wings.
Two pairs, one that replaced her ears, and a pair of big wings on her back.
Without a response, Lotus let herself in and continued.
"I wouldn't be surprised if you never heard of Velmora, heck I didn't even know about it until I overheard it in one of the council meetings."
"You were eavesdropping on their meetings?" Bryan asked, but he didn't sound surprised.
Lotus nodded, and continued to speak more.
"One of the guild leaders mentioned it for a second, but," she sat down on the couch, crossing her legs, "They didn't talk into it, so I decided to visit the Protector's library."
"More like sneaking in." Bryan says, knowing for a fact she wouldn't be welcomed."There was like nothing, so after that, I decided to take matters into my own hands." She said with a grin.
Bryan looked at her worrying.
After the stunt she pulled more than a year ago, it caused her to get a bounty on her head. He can remember when she told him about it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Bryan came back from a mission, he was informed that his sister had fought two of the members of Divinus Magia, but she was the victor. After that she disappeared, with the addition that a bounty was place on her.
She was found in the Divil Estate.
"YOU DID WHAT?" Bryan slammed the front door, startling the girl who was doing her own thing.
"Okay, Bryan. I know it wasn't my best moment, but my magic had an outburst!" The younger girl turned her head around and had her hands up like she was surrendering.
Bryan was going to say more, but decided not to.
Taking a breathe, he continued with a quieter voice.
"Lotus, I know that sometimes your magic can be a little bit...' , he stops for a bit to think, 'traumatizing."
Lotus looked away for a bit.
"Can you at least tell me your side of the story?" Lotus looked back at Bryan, then sighed. She sat herself down on one of the nearby chairs, putting her hand on her head.
"It's, uh..", she started. She used her other head to point at her forehead.
Bryan eyes widened.
"Don't tell me... You made one of the members relive one of there traumatic memories."
~~~~~
“Please don’t tell me you..” Lotus looks at Bryan, still smiling before giggling a bit. She got up and walked up to him, putting a finger on his lips.
“What do you think?” She said smiling.
Without any answers, she continued, taking away her finger.
“Velmora is basically a place that apparently disappeared one day. That day was 400 years ago! Crazy right?” She exaggerated.
“400 years ago?” Bryan repeated what she said, making her nod a bit.
“Yeah! From what I found, the place supposedly had a unique abundance of magic, causing it to disappear out of thin air.” She stopped for a bit, before going to Bryan's ear and whispering the rest.
“Not only that, there was supposedly a gem that gave a person “immortality”.” She took a few steps back to look at Bryan who was currently processing the information she revealed.
“....This is a bit to take in.” Bryan said, putting a hand covering part of his face.
It wasn’t much, but what was just revealed to him might as well be equal to an essay worth of stuff.
How come he never heard of this place?
He was a member of the Grand Magic Council at one point, but why did they mention it now?
However, at this point, he really stopped caring about what the guilds are hiding from him and others.
“One more thing!” Lotus snapped Bryan out of his thoughts and put her hands on his shoulders.
“When I was getting the information about Velmora, I stumbled upon something that is related to it as well. Something about dragons.” Bryan immediately looked up at the girl.
Lotus smiled, knowing he would be interested in this, so she took off her hands, picking up the bag she had earlier, and walked away, gesturing to Bryan to follow, in which he did.
They went to a separate room, passing a map of Fiore, and heading to the other side of the room, which had some picture frames holding paintings of dragons on the wall.
She walked up to the largest one, it showed a large fire dragon who was fighting a group of mages. The dragon was winning.
She puts her hand on one of the weakened mages.
“By the way, where’s Kairos?” She suddenly asked.
Kairos was the name of the baby fire dragon that hatched from the egg Helios, Bryan dragon mentor.
The egg hatched a month after Bryan got it, earlier than expected.
The reason for that?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~“Hey Bryan, here’s a suggestion. Can’t you just set the whole egg on fire? That could speed up the process.”
“...Lotus, what in Ankhersem's name do you think THAT IS A GOOD REASON?!?!”
“It’s literally a fire dragon egg, but if it doesn’t work, I guess we’re eating a boiled egg.”
“LOTUS WHAT THE FUCK--”~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That memory played in Bryan's mind when she asked.
“He’s asleep in my room, but why did you ask?”
“Eh, no reason.” She traced her hand towards the dragon's head. The room became completely silent, with only the sounds of a hand rummaging through the bag.
“Ignavor.” She suddenly said,
“Huh?” Bryan was startled by the sudden voice.
Without a proper explanation, she took her hands off the painting and took out a small notebook from the bag.
“I found this stand selling some weird things. They had old books, some weird rocks, you know stuff like that.” She started, opening the notebook to a certain page.
She walked to Bryan before halting. She stopped on a certain page then gave the notebook to the other.
Bryan tried to read through the writing, but it seems like it was written in a different language. But the one thing that stood out was some sort of symbol. It was a four-pointed star with some fragments around it. Surrounding it, the symbol showed a different language compared to the writing.
“I don’t understand what it’s saying, Lotus.” Bryan said, giving back the notebook to the girl.
“The merchant told me that the guy who wrote this came from a different country.” She said, looking at the page.
“Some of the writing is messed up, but I was able to understand the rest.” Bryan didn’t seem surprised. Along with her magic, she was able to understand and speak in multiple languages, but in certain cases…
“In the writing that didn’t get messed up, this is what I got.” She coughed a bit, before reading the book.
“In my research upon --------- I managed to find something Ignavor has left behind. It’s impressive how these dragon powers competed with --------. “
She stops to look back at Bryan.
“That is interesting, but what has this got to do with Velmora?” Bryan started to become a bit impatient.
“I’m getting there.”
She flipped to another page, reading on.
“In the end, Ignavor ------ was useless, In fact, it was horrible to have.. I was hoping that it could give me a lead to Velmora.”
Bryan sighed, knowing she was waiting for the moment.
She then flipped to the last page.
“I decided to ------------”
“My ------ hurts
“What------the-------------”
Bryan raised an eyebrow, confused on the words, before getting the answer to his thoughts as she showed him the page.
The majority of the last page was stained in red.
It was obviously blood no doubt.
Lotus sighed as Bryan stepped back from the sight of the blood page.
“As you can see, the guy did something which was stupid and resulted in their death. When I asked the merchant guy where they found it, they had a weird reaction.
At first, they didn’t want to tell me, but even after some “bargaining”, they told me that they found it when they were traveling around this country called “Seven”.”
When she finished talking, she noticed Bryan looking a bit pale, so she put away the notebook and led Bryan out of the room, straight to the living room.
After getting seated, the girl went to the kitchen, leaving Bryan to his own thoughts and the bag beside him.
He was thinking about “Ignavor”. From what Lotus said, Ignavor was a name of a dragon whose powers were equal to someone or something.
He had neutral opinions of dragons. He didn’t hate them at all. Heck, he even refuses to join the dragon war along with the other dragon slayers.
It wasn’t just Ignavor he was thinking about, he wanted to know more about the gems Lotus mentioned earlier.
Wait, shouldn’t he not know about this type of stuff?
Lotus only knows about it because of the Grand Magic Council, and Bryan’s not even in it anymore.
Now he just feels guilty, knowing that all of this is probably restricted to them and not him.
He snapped out of the thoughts when a hand touched his shoulder while another held a glass of water.
“Drink it, you look like you’re about to throw up.” Bryan thanks her for the glass, drinking half of it, then placing it down on the table top in front of the couch.
“So, what do you think?” She said smiling, sitting right beside him.
Bryan had no idea what to say.
He doesn’t question why his sister told him this to him. Due to Lotus' ability to look into anyone's memories, she has told Bryan things that have happened when he wasn’t around.
When Bryan came back from his trip with Davis, Lotus was in his room to tell him about Ritchie’s death and the battle between Divinus Magia and Devil Tongue.
He knew a lot of stuff thanks to his sister, those things were fine for him to know, but…
It seems like Velmora was a topic restricted to the Council.
“Lotus, there was obviously a reason why only the Grand Magic Council heard of Velmora. Did the merchant that sold you that book even know the contents of it?” Bryan looked directly at Lotus, who was startled by the response.
He seemed a bit mad.
“Well... When I asked, the merchant kept changing the topic and--” Bryan interrupted her.
“My point.” He paused for a moment, before grabbing the notebook from the bag and opening it, flipping through the pages.
Lotus just stared at him. She didn’t have her normal smile this time, but she looked more, worried?
While he was looking through the pages, something fell out of it.
The two looked at the fallen page, then Bryan looked at Lotus.
“You didn’t even look through the whole book.” He sighed, then picked it up to unfold it.
It was a map. It had Fiore and a couple of the surrounding countries, but on the north side of the map, there was something sketched.
It had four islands, but it was very unique. The biggest island was like an animal, curled around another slightly smaller island. The second biggest island was near the north of the other two, while the last island was farther away from the three.
Once again, there were writings on the map with a language Bryan could not understand, so he handed it to Lotus.
She looked it over.
“Huh”, she started, straining and staring closely at the words written, “this is, weird…”
“What is it?”
Lotus looked at Bryan, looking back and reading what was written.
“In the same ruins, there were people who said that might’ve had an idea of what it looked like, but they were all different. However, I have managed to find a similarity to what all of them said and sketch on this map.”
“If someone finds this map, along with my notebook, I advise you to not attempt—————/.”
The rest was unreadable
“Why does it always cut off at the important part??” Bryan asked.
Suddenly, Lotus jumped up with the map.
She had her usual smile now.
“I decided!” She exclaimed, making Bryan confused a bit worried.
“Decided what?”
”To go on a journey to find Velmora!”
“What?!?”
”And you’re coming with me!!”
”WHAT?!?”
Notes:
Summary: Lotus tells Bryan about some things he didn’t know of. A place that disappeared one day, a dragon that could be related to the disappearance, and gems that grant immortality. It’s a lot to take in, but it becomes more complicated when they find a map.
Lotus decides to go on a journey to find Velmora, but she’s not planning on leaving her brother.
